Conveniently located, within walking distance of eateries, grocery shops and bus/tram stations. Close to the Lisbon convention centre by car (5 mins drive). Can also walk to city centre (downhill going there), takes about 45-60 mins walk. Takes a bit longer to walk back as uphill.

Hôtel et suite très agréable, propre et calme. 15 minutes de laeroport en taxi et 25 minutes du centre ville à pied.Personnel sympathique et disponible. Un petit bémol pour le petit déjeuner qui pourrait être plus varié.

Confesso que a princípio achei um pouco macabra a decoração. Mas depois de uma primeira impressão estranha, entendi como ser incomum pode ser maravilhosamente intrigante. Ótima ideia. Localizado bem próximo ao memorial de Fernando Pessoa. Ou melhor, sua antiga casa. Excelente experiência.

Sehr schönes Hotel für einen Stadturlaub in Lissabon. Ab Nachmittag absolut ruhig, davor macht die Nähe der Schule etwas Lärm. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und ausreichend groß. Das Badezimmer war top.Frühstücksbuffet ohne jeden Tadl. Ingesamt empfehlenswert.

Mal aproveitado. Com um espaço excelente mas decorado pessimamente, de forma nada ergonômica.
Sofás com uma profundidade de assento exagerada, cama confortável, mesas de cabeceira horríveis, não de antiquário mas de desperdícios.
A televisão não se vê da cama, comentei na receção e disseram-me que era assim por opção, que em nenhum dos quartos é possível ver televisão da cama. Quem foi o decorador que decide o que as pessoas podem ou não fazer ou ver? Não vão pensar que sou obcecada por tv, nada disso, só discordo com a prepotência de imporem regras!
Localização difícil para quem tem carro.

I highly recommend this hotel. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good breakfast too. We had one lunch and one dinner which we enjoyed. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to Basilica Estrella and park. You can walk into the centre of Lisbon in about 30 minutes. Uber are plentiful. Be careful of the tram from the Basilica to Lisbon centre, pickpockets are common.

Great place, the suit (21) is very spacious. Bedroom with a bathroom en-suite. Living room with a big couch, some comfy chairs and a desk. Very quit room. Put your car in the hotel parking lot (extra) because finding a parking space in the area is like winning the lottery.
Some minor fixes to be done in the room.

Buen hotel pero quizas le falle el bar que hay que pedir en recepcion y te lo suben del restaurante y el restaurante tiene pocos platos y algunos no merecen la categoria. El pulpo bastante bueno el bacalao normal y el bife de ternera duro. El desayuno muy simple por lo que gana en el hotel lo pierde en el bar y restaurante. Por cierto en la habitacion el libro esta en portugues, ingles y frances. Les he rcomendado que una hojita mas en castellano no cuesta mucho.

Had an amazing experience in this place. We felt really appreciated. The breakfast is simple beautiful, great selection of food offered. The room is one of the best I have ever slept in. What a bathroom!!! Stuff is simply outstanding! Love the idea to give a chance for the students from the Tourism academy. As a tourism industry worker myself, I found this a brilliant opportunity for the new workers generation! We had to leave the hotel around 4am and we were served a complimentary breakfast so we could be fed on our trip back home! Such a touch! 10 out of 10 surely!

Beautiful hotel ! Our room was spacious and clean. My only complaints are the old fashioned key we were made to tote around instead of typical key cards and the showers poor design. The water leaked all over the floor and the shower head placement makes no sense compared to the tub. Their breakfast and dinner is worth a try. Our breakfast was included so we opted to eat in every day. The hotel is located along some narrow streets so be prepared for some uphill/downhill walking if you’re venturing out.

Schönes Hotel mit guter Lage zu Metro, Bus und Straßenbahn. Sehr rührige Mitarbeiter, die sich vortrefflich bemühen. Taxi zum Flughafen rund € 15
Zimmer gepflegt und unauffälliger , sehr zuverlässiger Zimmer-Service. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kleinigkeiten verbesserungswürdig, wie Fernseher, der sich nach 60 min abschaltet und danach nur noch über Schaltung am Gerät funktioniert .

Hotel Estrela is slightly out of the centre Lisbon and is therefore in a quiet area. There are excellent restaurants nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. An excellent place to stay when visiting Lisbon

Das Hotel liegt sehr verkehrsgünstig an der Metrostation Rato, von hier aus fahren viele Busse und die Metro - wir sind öffentlich sehr gut zurecht gekommen. Aućh kann man fußläufig sehr viel erreichen - Chiado ist ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Das Hotel liegt wohltuend ruhig in einer kleinen Nebenstraße. Sehr sauber, tolles großes Zimmer und schönes Bad.

Das Designer-Hotel ist chic und überrascht mit besonderen Details. Die Suite konnte nicht überzeugen; sie ist ein recht dunkler Schlauch, und vor dem ersten Betreten sollte man vorgewarnt werden, um nicht die lange Treppe unmittelbar hinter der Zimmertür zu übersehen. Morgens wird ein vielfältiges Frühstück geboten. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig, da außerhalb des Zentrums in einem Wohnviertel gelegen.

Great room, comfy sleep and very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Nice continental breakfast with a good selection. Located away from the centre however tram, bus and metro stations are within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. Would not hesitate to go back.

Bof bof bof .... bien moyen pour un quatre étoiles. La vue du 1er étage est nulle pour pas dire horrible ! La télé sur le mur latéral ne permet pas de bien la voir depuis le lit. Et absolument rien à faire dans le quartier !!!! Même pas pour manger ...
C'est une certitude je ne reviendrai pas dans cet établissement.

Das Label Small Luxury Hotels of the World ist irreführend. Etwas abgewohntes Design/Boutique-Hotel aber definitiv kein Luxury Hotel Standard, nicht mal 4-Sterne Hotel Standard. Frühstück bzgl. Qualität der Produkte enttäuschend - in der Gästeinfo verweis auf marktfrische, regionale Produkte, in der Umsetzung lieblose Standard-Gastro Lebensmittel und Abpackware. Das ganzen Haus und die Zimmer ein bisschen schmuddelig (verfärbte Fugen in den Duschen, Flecken auf dem Teppich). Regenschirm an der Rezeption? - Fehlanzeige. Personal bemüht und freundlich. Lage für meine Bedürfnisse gut, schnell auf der R. do Salitre mit tollen Geschäften, Bars und Restaurants, die berühmte Tram 28E fährt um die Ecke ab und ist dann auch noch nicht so voll. Die Stadt kann von hier aus gut in Richtung Innenstadt aber auch Richtung Belem erlaufen werden. Das Hotel hat aufgrund der Lage und der Substanz definitiv gute Voraussetzungen, das Management müsste neben Geld aber auch etwas Herzblut investieren. In der aktuellen Verfassung empfehle ich das Hotel nicht weiter, gerade auch, weil ich das Marketing als irreführend empfinde.

A 19 room boutique hotel in a converted school that has a bar and full restaurant providing breakfast, lunch and dinner on-site. Appears to be run as part of training for students at the attached Hotel and Tourism Training Academy. Service, response to requests and willingness to be of assistance was excellent. The location was convenient and lots of local restaurants were within walking distance..

Sehr angenehmes kleines Hotel. Hervorzuheben ist das freundliche und zuvorkommende Personal. Die Zimmer sind ansprechend und vor allem sehr sauber. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr gut.
Das Hotel liegt ruhig in einem nicht so touristischen Teil von Lissabon. Die Anbindung an die Hotspots sehr gut. Dafür gibt es in Laufweite etliche Restaurants in allen Preisklassen. Vor allem ein sehr schöner Mercado.

Ideally located, away from the tourist crowds, but still close to the main attractions. Excellent food market nearby. Breakfast very good, we appreciated the ”of the day” items, the pastries and the tomatoes and pumpkin jams (!). Not very busy hotel, with discrete garden. Restaurant very good, with gourmet food.

Its a beautiful boutique hotel. Their restaurant has a limited menu but the food on there is really great. We ordered the Pork Leg snd it was so good. They also have a very nice Sangria. Breakfast was a bit sparce. They said they dont serve sausages and they didnt have any condiments. The interior design is absolutely fabulous

Beautiful butik hotel with perfect location. This hotel is small but silent and cosy. The rooms are quite spacious and nicely furnished. Cleaning service was excellent, everyday the room looked neat and clean. The breakfast was nice and fresh. Fresh pastry was really delicious. The staff was professional and very helpful. We stayed at the hotel a week and the staff remembered what coffee to serve us everyday. That was very nice. Also, the staff in the reception were very responsive to any requests or inquiries. At some moment, we started feeling like this place was home.
Location is perfect! It is close to metro and city centre. 10 min from the hotel you have two hop on hop off buses stops, if you want to take a city tour. The neighborhood seems quite and safe. There are several local taverns around, if you wish to experience something very Portuguese.
However, I wish there was an iron in the room. I guess the staff would lend me one if I asked but still iron should be in the room.

We stayed here for 7 days in one of their suites while we were in Lisbon. Their service is reasonable and the breakfast buffet is fine as per what we have experienced in Europe. They don’t seem to stock any basic medicines such as an antihistamine or an aspirin. Unfortunately we ended up needing both at odd hours. We don’t know the norms of European hotels (this was the first trip we felt the need for medicines), but some premium Asian hotels do tend to have some basic medicines in stock, or would arrange for you on short notice.
The price of the suite was reasonable, considering that we visited in July. The place is reasonably well situated if you intend to take Uber to travel like we did. Most tourist places and malls are about 10-15 minutes away by Uber. For us an added advantage was that it is very close to Jardim Da Estrella, where our 4 year old daughter had a great time at the play area.
The suite is aesthetically pleasing and quite spacious, but frankly it feels like the designer had a degree in design, but not in practicality. The light of the room and the sitting area are linked (we could not figure any other solution) so when our daughter was sleeping, we had to make do with a small lamp in the sitting area. The shower area has transparent glass, hence you have to warn your child not to enter the room when you are taking a shower. The room has no lock on it. The bathtub is the only place for a shower and it does not have a shower curtain, hence if you don’t want to get the whole bathroom wet, you have to settle for quite an uncomfortable shower.
I would have rated them 4 stars had it not been for the practical aspects of the room left out in design. But these are easily fixable issues and hopefully the hotel will take note.

The worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The hotel doesn't hire actual staff - they hire interns and trainees who are so young and have no idea what they are doing. I was trying to enter the hotel with a baby in hand and a toddler + stroller and the intern at the front desk didn't even know she had to at least help me open the door! The interns/trainees helping at breakfast stand behind the counter and just stare at you. Very sweet kids but they are so young and basically the face of the hotel. THE WEIRDEST PART - the key system. there's only one key and if you stay in the room while your partner steps out, there's no way to enter. Just bizarre. Complimentary water - just one for the full stay versus one per day. Again - bizarre. Bizarre bizarre bizarre

I went on a city break trip with my mother. This was the friendliest hotel either of us had stayed in. The staff were always welcoming and friendly. Helpful and fun. They were outstanding. It is a little outside the tourist area and that was very welcome, after a busy day to retreat to this quiet area. Locally there were good restaurants and activities such as a market. Transport connections were very good.We loved our stay. The only criticism was that we had a bath with a shower in it , and not a walk in shower. The bath was very good though after a hard days walking. The breakfasts were fab. Evening meal was not to our tastes.

Das Hotel ist Super und wir können es weiter empfehlen. Das Hotel hat nicht so viele Zimmer, ist aber sehr schön und komfortabel. Täglich wird gereinigt, und das Frühstück ist auch super. Das einzigen Manko ist, das die Metro Haltestelle 15 min. Fußweg entfernt ist. Trotzdem würde ich es wieder buchen.

Very nice and clean place. Friendly staff and good food. Expect some student interns from the nearby tourism college, but they are ok really. The only reason for 4* (not 5*) is that the restaurant service is overpriced at 3eur per person - and that's excluding any tips which would come on top (sorry, no tipping from me under those T&Cs).

The hotel is situated in an up market area of Lisbon.Once our taxi arrived outside of the hotel, Isabel the duty manager and the clerk exited the hotel asking if we needed assistance. The checkin procedure was straight forward. We were even offered a cocktail while the paperwork was completed and Isabel explained the travel options from the hotel to get around Lisbon. Tram 28E. The cleck carried our bag to our room then showing us the inside procedures.Our suite was large with a seperate seating area. The bathroom had 2 basins, bath, separate shower and a toilet with screen.The restaurant staff were as friendly as checkin staff. The menu was designed by the chef daily by fresh produce available. The price had a margin between which you felt the meal was worth.Breakfast was served in the same area. A continental with hot scambled eggs bacon and tomatoes.The designer hotel has art and seating areas around the hotel.All staff were very friendly and welcoming.The hotel maybe placed outside of downtown however it has good transport links and worthy of a visit.

Property was well kept and definitely unique since it is in an old school. The rooms were some of the largest we’ve experienced across all of Europe and quite comfortable as well. I think what made this hotel truly exceed was the staff. Very responsive both via email prior to our stay and during to help provide recommendations and directions. Would highly recommend for families and couples.

Die Suite war riesig, aber einrichtungsmässig etwas nüchtern. Für uns haben z.B. Bilder gefehlt und man hätte bei so viel Raum vielleicht noch mehr Stilmöbel erwartet. Auch fehlte uns der Kaffeekocher. Frühstück sehr gut und ausgiebig.

Ausgesprochen nettes Hotel in einer guten Wohngegend hinter dem Estrela-Park. Ein ehemaliger Palast, eine ehemalige Schule, jetzt ein sehr modern und geschmackvoll ausgestattetes ausgefallenes Hotel mit nur 19 Zimmern und daher sehr persönlicher Betreuung, viel Platz, und angenehmer Atmosphäre. Tolles Frühstück, Terrasse und kleiner Teich im eigenen Garten, ruhig (gut - Flugzeuge hört man - wie überall in der Stadt), gute Gegend. Man kann zu Fuß in das Altstadtviertel (Chiado) und auch in die Innenstadt laufen oder mit der 28er Straßenbahn vom Estrela-Park aus fahren. Zur U-Bahn-Station Rato sind es nur ca. 300 m.

Das Hotel liegt nur ein paar hundert Meter von der nächsten Metro Station entfernt.Wir hatten eine Suite, die groß und ruhig gelegen ist. Das Bett war größer als 180 cm und sehr komfortabel. Das große Bad mit zwei Waschbecken, Badewanne und separater großer Dusche und WC rundete den Wohlfühlkomfort ab. Das Frühstück könnte auch im Innenhof bei schönem Wetter eingenommen werden. Es war alles vorhanden. Frisches Obst und frischer Orangensaft, Croissants, Brötchen, Eier mit Speck etc. Filterkaffee stand bereit und daher musste nach Espresso gefragt werden, was aber kein Problem war. Der Aufenthalt hat unseren tollen Eindruck von der wunschönen Stadt Lissabon zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht.

Хорошая гостиница. Расположена в туристическом районе. Уютные комнаты. интерьер на любителя. Не предусмотрены обед и ужин. Пару раз в неделю предлагают день барбекю. Вкусно.

L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier calme à 5 mn à pied du métro. Les chambres sont spacieuses, confortables et soignées. Un bémol pour la baignoire/douche car on provoque des fuites avec les éclaboussures mais la qualité des autres prestations compense largement. Le personnel est disponible et agréable. Le petit déjeuner est un buffet et même si on y retrouve chaque jour la même chose, le choix est tel que l'on peut varier. Un agréable jardin clos est à disposition. Bel endroit à recommander sans hésitation.

Lage=top (Tram 28e 5 Minuten zu Fuß, Metro genauso weit)
Personal= kompetent, sympathisch, hilfsbereit
Zimmer = sehr freundlich und stylisch eingerichtet, bequem, natürlich sehr sauber, Klimaanlage perfekt.
WLAN= 100% (falls Probleme, einfach fragen, man bekommt einen persönlichen WLAN-Hotspot)
Nur 4 Sterne und die Direktorin weiß wieso.

This hotel is a little gem tucked away in a beautiful quiet neighbourhood.. As a very fussy traveller, I was very impressed with everything and highly recommend it.. Amazing everything, and different in its design.. Would stay again!

Five days/four nights with my partner. Fabulous staff, always there to help, not pushy at all. The hotel is in an excellent condition. The layout of the room was slightly unusual, but it grew on us gradually. I would definitely return to this very hotel.

Great hotel if you get the right room. I am dropping a star simply because there weren't wifi that they promised in the rooms
Otherwise great garden terrace, library / open space with an "Honesty Bar".
It's has a very Nouveau concept London can adopt with its "Pay as you feel" restaurant. Which seems to serve amazing dishes.
The room service was prompt and great to my delight. The breakfast however needs vast improvements to Portuguese 4* standards..

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und wow upgegradet.Die Suite für 4 Nächte. Riesiges Zimmer mit Ausblick und ein Badezimmer! > so groß sind unsere Zimmer für gewöhnlich :DFrühstücksbuffet gut ausgestattet - für Portugal (die essen ja nicht groß in der Früh). Extrem zufrieden!Sehr zu empfehlen! Danke der Crew :-))

Die Lage des Hotels ist nicht so ideal, etwas weit vom Zentrum entfernt. Wir fuhren oft mit dem Taxi, was auch kein Problem war, da die Taxis in Lissabon recht preiswert sind.Ansonsten ist das Hotel durchaus empfehlenswert.

O Hotel da Estrela tem aos fins de semana um serviço de pic-nic por encomenda, que permite desfrutar de um fantástico pic-nic nos jardins de este bonito hotel no centro de Lisboa. Sabe bem para uma pausa especial.

Erhältlich an der U-Bahn Station am Flughafen.Mit diesem können Sie alle öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen.(U-Bahn, Strassenbahn, Busse, Aufzüge). Unser Zimmer in der obersten Etage bot einen schönen Blick über Lissabon.

sehr Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die Lage ist ruhig, der Zugang zu öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist akzeptabel. Fußweg ca. 10 Min. zur Metro oder Straßenbahn bzw Bushaltestelle. In näherer Umgebeung gibt es jedoch wenig Gastronomie und am Wochenende sowie Montags ist das Hotelrestaurant geschlossen. Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet, die Preise bewegen sich im oberen Preissegment.

フロントやロビーの黒板に描いてあるメッセージや絵がかわいく、壁フックに子ども服がかけてあるなど、学校のようなインテリアで、見ていて楽しいです。
部屋の絨毯も、黒板に白で絵や文字が描いてあるような柄で、それ以外は白を基調としておりシンプルで、窓が大きく、明るく広い部屋です。バスルームもシンプルモダンで広く、シャワーの出も排水も良かったです。

a proximité d'un parc charmant, l'hôtel n'est pas dans le centre de lisbonne mais ce n'est pas plus mal. lisbonne est une petite ville et les transports y sont bien aménagés. entre le métro rato et le tram 28 (historique) l'hôtel da estrela est très bien placé, sans être dans le bruyant mais dynamique barrio alto par exemple.
l'accueil est simple, courtois; les chambres spacieuses (notamment la salle de bain) et propres (on sait cependant que l'hôtel est quasi-neuf). le thème de "l'ecole" qui sous-tend toute la déco de l'hôtel est présent sans trop en imposer, les petites touches deci-delà rendent l'atmosphère encore plus charmante.
situé à côté d'une école d'hôtellerie, l'hôtel accueille beaucoup d'étudiants, au charme parfois maladroit, mais épaulé par une solide équipe qui, pour le coup, met les bouchées doubles pour satisfaire les clients, à notre grand avantage ! conseils, réservations, services, tout le monde est sur le pont pour rendre le séjour plus confortable avec une décontraction mesurée, idéale.
un hôtel dans lequel nous retournerons sans hésiter.
