“A high end price for a low end product - Worn out, threadbare and should not be classed as a premier partner” A couple of good points about this villa are the location to both Lisbon (25mins) and Sintra (15mins). The games room/shed has a great table tennis table. That’s it! Firstly, the owner only wanted cash, how can this be payment guaranteed by trip advisor! A very scary position to be in AND the owner didn’t send a receipt for 7 days. This came only after several messages and emails. Where to start with this catalogue of awfulness - The gardens are beautiful and well maintained and honestly a real delight but the mosquitoes and flies were dreadful. You could not eat outside or even sit with a glass of wine at dusk. The furniture looks beautiful on the pictures but is in fact worn out and covered in blankets, which become damp and smell. Although the property is for 13 people it only has 5 pool chairs, 3 are wooden with threadbare cushions that you really would never want to sit on, and 2 chairs that recline but don’t go flat. The pool although cleaned every other day, gets lots of leaves and foliage from the nearby garden and the pool itself is mouldy and peeling away at one end. Inside the property there’s evidence of leaks from upstairs, several bedrooms smell, like REALLY smell horrendously due to damp (you can’t properly air the rooms because of the mosquitoes) All the bathrooms are in need of updating and the downstairs one has a flickering light INSIDE the shower. Beware Electrocution! The house as a whole doesn’t work for any group as far as I can see. Although I had booked the whole villa, the owner tried to charge €40/person/day for 2 extra guests. This would have made us a party of 10 so although I had been quoted €2700 they were looking for €560 extra. Greedy - your price was for the whole villa. We ended up being a party of 8 and were only shown 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles and 1 twin (which interconnected with a double) This didn’t work for us as the teenagers didn’t really want to share a bed! We then got given a single room. I think there was a detached cottage but we didn’t get to see it! Which would then add up to 11 guests so not sure where the 13 places would come from? Seriously do not waste your money on this property, it is a high end price, for a low end product.
