Service was impeccable however the room was above a cocktail bar and it was like a dance floor in my room till 2.30am.Have made a complaint to the hotel and to hotels.comThey should not be selling a room that has such bad sound proofing.

J’ai adoré la chambre, spacieuse, super vue sur la rue, très bien décorée. Le personnel était aimable et serviable. Ma seule déception, le bar en rooftop fermé le dimanche et n’ouvre en semaine qu’à 17h30. J’avais choisi l’hotel pour cette raison, je n’ai au final pas pu en profiter. Le personnel a néanmoins gentiment proposé de me l’ouvrir pour que je regarde, mais ça n’a pas grand intérêt compte tenu du nombre d’hôtels avec bar restaurant en rooftop ouverts la journée dans le quartier.

war alles sehr modern, Rooftopbar war sehr schön und die Lage des Hotels klasse. Frühstücksbuffet hat einem an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben uns nur gefragt, wie das Personal sauber putzen kann, wenn alles so dunkel gehalten ist in den Räumlichkeiten. Aber wir empfanden es als sauber, auch wenn man das wie gesagt nur schwer sehen kann Wir würden auf jedenfall wieder buchen.

Really cool hotel with friendly staff, rooms are spacious and comfortable. The decor is a bit strange and has an overall 'dark' theme which is not bad really but strange. The beds and pillows are soft, and I'm not entirely sure if other rooms have a 'hard mattress' option. Breakfast was OK.

Bei Platzangst ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen, ist alles sehr düster gehalten. Flure schwarz, Zimmer schwarz, ist halt sehr stylisch gehalten aber nicht jedermanns Geschmack! Einziger Punkt Abzug ist die Toilette... Leider nicht sehr ansehlich, der Klo ist vergilbt und fleckig!Ansonsten war alles prima, Personal sehr freundlich, Frühstück hervorragend!

Très bon hôtel, très bien placé dans Lisbonne à 10 minutes à pied du grand marché. Le petit déjeuner buffet est très bon, copieux et la salle agréable. Les serveurs sont attentifs. Dans lensemble le personnel est efficace. Je conseillerai cet hôtel.

Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Hotel befindet sich in top Lage unweit vom Meer und Bars sowie Einkaufzentrum die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und mit hochwertigen Möbel versehen. Sehr gute Restaurants im Umkreis. Man kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.

Hotel parfaitement situé, à deux pas de tout. Chambre tres confortable et joliment décorée. Petit dejeuner au top. Seul petit bemol pour le léger bruit de la rue. Notre chambre étant sur rue, on entend la circulation même si la rue est peu passante la nuit.

Muito bem localizado no Chiado, o Hotel tem uns quartos espaçosos com um design moderno e de um extremo bom gosto, muito confortáveis. Atendimento muito atencioso, serviço e limpeza impecáveis. Café da manhã farto e variado de ótima qualidade. Excelente opção para se hospedar em Lisboa, com um preço super justo.

Voyage en solo, j'ai réservé via e-booking je me suis retrouvé avec un chambre plutôt sympa mais en y regardant de plus près, mal entretenue au niveau de la salle de douche . En revanche petit dejeuner et machine nespresso ds la chambre. Le roof top est fermé en hiver donc pas de vue

Nice clean boutique room, bit short on space to move around in room. Nice duvet. Parking a bit more of an issue as it is 100 metres away and has small narrow ramps.

This hotel is located in the heart of Chiado & Bairro Alto. Located on a main street, it has all the location perks that you might want. The breakfast is very good and you deserve to have it. The rooms are amazing, comfortable and spacious. The only thing missing is a partnership with a local gym (if you want to workout, you have to search it by yourself). Don't you miss the rooftop bar with views to the castle - precious!

Wedged between the city shopping district and the Bairro Alto, i feel the location of this hotel would be perfect for most travelers.
Staff are English speaking.
Check in / out easy and quick.
Only area looking run down was the roof top bar area. A little work here would really lift this area.
Great hotel all around. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for business. Location is great which is why I almost gave it 3 stars but in the end could not. My room smelled like a open sewer and I knew management was aware because there were two plugin air fresheners within my small room. After telling reception they sent up cleaners who sprayed more air freshener and left, my next call brought a maintenance person who was unable to find the source of the problem. I am in the construction industry and it appears to me they either have a dry “p” trap or open sewer pipe which is allowing the sewer gas to enter the building. In the end I was offered $168 credit for a $700 hotel bill. Not acceptable.
A few other items to note:
1. stains on my carpet
2. non functioning TV, not that I came to Lisbon to watch TV but for the money it should work.
3. the only window in my room looked into a air shaft.
4. Odd that a desk was missing so it was difficult to work.
On the plus side I had a coffee maker in the room.
I don’t write reviews and hardly ever make a big deal about accommodations but felt the need to inform others because I rely on these reviews.

Hotel in ottima posizione per visitare tutta Lisbona,spazi comuni e camere pulite ed arredate in modo particolare ,accolti molto gentilmente dal personale della reception che vedendoci sofferenti per il gran caldo (38 gradi)ed essendo arrivati in anticipo rispetto al check in ci ha proposto subito di lasciare i bagagli e darci una rinfrescata ,una nota molto positiva riguardo al personale del bar per la prima colazione che svolge il proprio lavoro con molta accuratezza.

Reception staff (a gentleman) is extremely helpful, quick check in check out, always trying to help, very good recommendation of steak house. Other reception staff are nice too. Breakfast is extremely good, good enough varieties and very high quality. Staff (gentleman) in breakfast place is very helpful too. I stayed for two nights, everything is great. If I need to find any drawback, there is no table in my type of room, not convenient to work on laptop.

Very stylish hotel and friendly staff. Beds are comfortable and the view is nice. Very good location, 5min walk to the metro and 10min walk to city centre. Bathrobes and slippers is always nice. It's supercool over all. We found hair and dust in one of the drawers, the only minus.
We will come back :)

Por desgracia no hemos podido disfrutar de la estancia en el hotel. Nos hemos quedado tirados con el coche a medio camino de Lisboa, hemos avisado al hotel de la situación en la que nos encontrábamos. Seria deseable que el hotel ante situaciones de fuerza mayor, tuviese hacia el cliente, otra forma de actuar, no devolver la reserva de la habitación dice mucho del hotel. Desde luego no son las formas para fidelizar a nadie. Un poco de empatía, señores, que ganar dinero por una noche, pierde muchas otras noches y futuros clientes. Un saludo.

basic room. got 2 coffee capsules with no milk. bed was not comfortable. no vibe and the halls have a cheap smell which makes you feel like it is a book hourly hotel. wouldn't recommend especially as there seemed to be a lot of affordable hotels that looked great we just sadly picked the wrong one!

We were very happy with our room on level 5, clean and stylish. Staff very nice and friendly. Location is also very good, walkable to all the places we wanted to go. We will definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Lisbon.

Highly recommend this place. Very helpful and friendly staff, perfect location if you like being near local restaurants, bars, shopping, and the breakfast was incredible. The rooms are a bit small, but very modern and omfortable...plus we were there to see Lisbon. On the last morning we left early so the staff was kind enough to fix us up a breakfast box...very thoughtful!

Conveniently located, with a very nice balcony that had great views of the city. The room was clean enough, but a dirty fan that blew dust into the bathroom should have been cleaned. The front desk staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast foods were fine but the coffee was terrible. It may seem like a small thing, but at other hotels at this price in Portugal that we stayed in had a real espresso machine and made excellent coffee. We had to go out to a nearby shop to get a decent cappuccino or espresso in the morning.

Very nice hotel. Excellent drinks at the bar at the street and at the roof top bar. Good breakfast, with the discount we paid only 1 euro per person per day. Some people claim the dark halls. Yes, they are dark but you are just walking through them. Don't forget... Nice and friendly people. Tram, bus and taxi stopping right in front of the hotel.

The hotel advertises a breakfast deal on their website. I thought that sounded great, so I went ahead and booked my rate via the hotel website with the code for a breakfast to be included. However, when I checked in, the staff told me that the rate did not apply. The management then refused to honor the breakfast deal that I booked. This is not only disappointing, it is fraudulent.

Overall, very pleasant stay, great location, very helpful staff. There was a large area rug in the room which really needed cleaning. Breakfast was included but not worth getting up for. I liked that they had refreshments and comfortable seating available in the small reception area.

Wir haben hier drei Nächste verbracht und waren wirklich begeistert. Sehr gute Lage und Anbindung vom/zum Flughafen.Frühstück war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich. Mitarbeiter waren sehr zuvorkommend und haben gute Tipps zum Sightseeing gegeben. Zimmer war groß und sauber. Wir waren wirklich sehr zufrieden.

This is a nice hotel in a good location. You can easily walk down to the city centre, and walking up to Principal Real, gives you a whole more laid back area to explore. Walking towards Santa Catarina takes you to dozens of small restaurants and bars in the steep cobbled streets. Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the street. It was not noisy. Other reviewers have noted the unique decor and the black bathrooms. We liked it all and thought it was interesting and well thought out. Not every hotel has to be bland! Staff were very friendly. We didnt eat at the hotel since there are just so many options in the area. On our last night we stumbled across some small Fado restaurants in the area. Sure they were a little touristy, but we had fun and enjoyed the music and the general vibe.

Cooles Hotel! Die Designer Zimmer in schwarz sind schon etwas besonderes und haben mir gut gefallen, auch wenn sie offensichtlich nicht so gut sauber gehalten werden können (im Badezimmer Spritzer an der schwarzen Glaswand während unseres ganze Aufenthalts, (3 Nächte) und der Teppich wurde offensichtlich auch nicht gesaugt... aber vielleicht ist das jammern auf hohen Niveau. Zimmer im 4. Stock sind schön ruhig, kein Verkehrslärm ist zu hören, obwohl es an einer befahrenen Strasse liegt, aber da das Hotel nahe am Vergnügungsviertel liegt, hört man Nachts schon das Geschrei der betrunkenen Heimgeher

Hotel muy centrico. Ubicacion perfecta pero si vas con coche no hay parking y no te dicen donde llevarlo y el parking de al lado vale 35 eur al dia. Descubrimos otro a 900 m que vale 13 al dia. Limpieza justa en la habitacion. La ventana de la habiracion daba a un patio pequeño donde la maquina del aire acondicionado. Esta bien insonorizado. El personal de recepcion no te da muchas indicaciones sobre que ver a lo sumo un plano para venderte los autobuses turisticos y un tranvia, que lo puedes publico coger por 3 euros. El desayuno bien y el personal del mismo muy simpatico.

Quite a nice hotel, with decent rooms (although their double beds are two beds pushed together, at least in my room, which isn’t my favorite thing).
There’s a cute rooftop bar, though I didn’t see it get busy, and a serviceable business center.
Best part of this hotel was the fantastic staff—really world class! Locals with wonderful recommendation in and around Lisbon. They introduced me to the best meal, the best custard tart, the best beach and the best bar I went to in the area!
Fantastic location, walkable to pretty much everything you’d like to see (although definitions of walkable may vary!).

Das 9Hotel Mercy ist direkt neben dem Ausgangsviertel an einer Strasse gelegen. Die Fenster sind jedoch gut abgedichtet und man hört selten etwas von draussen... (4. OG).Das Hotelzimmer ist grosszügig und hell - das Bad jedoch in schwarz gehalten, was sehr speziell anmutet - wirklich alles schwarz! Das Lavabo ist sehr klein - die Toilette dürfte mal einen neuen Deckel/Ring erhalten - das WC wirkt so schmuddelig.Der Zimmerservice ist OK - die Kaffeemaschine wird nicht gereinigt und die Kapseln nicht weggeworfen - jedoch aufgefüllt. Mineralwasser gibts nur einmal zur Begrüssung - trotzdem, dass wir ein Executive-Zimmer buchten. TV gibts nur englisch und portugiesisch.Das Stockwerk ist alles in schwarz gehalten - düster und unangenehm! Die Rezeption ist freundlich - das Frühstücksbuffet, welches in der abendlichen Bar dargeboten wird, ist gut. Kaffeeliebhaber kommen bei dem Kaffeeautomaten nicht auf ihre Kosten... Die Lage des Hotels ist gut um auch am Abend in der Umgebung etwas Essen zu gehen.Taxistand für die Fahrt zum Flughaben 50m neben dem Hotel.

I was expecting something a lot more glamorous. Medium to small size rooms with windows looking at a wall, with that sort of cheap modern decor that falls apart, sharp-edges shelves in dodgy places (hit my head twice in two different places) and a very bad stench from the toilet only covered by hidden air freshener in the room. Rooftop bar shut in the winter (which we didn't know about). On the plus side a large wet room shower and the attached bar: this functions as breakfast room in the morning (good but only available till 10.30) and lounge bar at night, which came handy considering it was impossible to walk in heels anywhere. Frankly I would not recommend.

Friendly staff, good location and okay rooms. Negatives are no AC, room had major stains in carpet, and street noise was disturbing at night. Saving Grace is the awesome bar/restaurant attached. Their drinks and staff was phenomenal.

Great location. Very friendly staff. Excellent bar downstairs. My only major problem were with the pillows - very hard and lumpy. I was working in Lisbon and sleep was important. If they upgraded the bedding I'd give it 5 stars.

Great staff and nice property. Small rooftop bar offers great drinks and amazing view. Rooms themselves are small and incredibly dark....but the in-room coffee machine is nice.

Es un hotel en una excelente ubicación, cómodo y bien decorado. Cuidado que no tiene estacionamiento propio y sólo 4 plazas en uno cercano por 20 euros diarios. Si ya estan ocupadas esas plazas, pues son 35 euros por día.

Barley a 4 in my opinion, however nothing specifically wrong with the hotel to get a 3. Overall nothing special about Hotel Mercy but the location is great and bed was comfortable. Rooms could be cleaner (our toilet area smelled of urine). Staff friendly enough.

Cool posh hotel with a great central location in Lisbon. Rooms are a little small and could use a carpet cleaning but I didnt stay in the room much. Overall staff was friendly but a few odd looks because the hotel was filled with a lot of old tourists and people that dress the part. Dont judge a book by its cover. Be sure to walk down the street to O Trevo on the corner for a Bifana and Beer. Easy to walk to everything. Checkout Time Out Market to sample all the restaurants inside.

it is a lovely boutique hotel, very hip and trendy. the location is great, everything was within walking distance. the room was clean, and stylish. i'm a bit fussy about bed everywhere i go but the bed and linens were super comfortable here.
only thing i wasn't too happy about was customer service. i stayed in club room, #501. when i checked in room i realised the heater didn't work so i had someone come up have a look. he confirmed it was broken. then i went out for Fado and came back to sleep. i woke up in the middle of night feeling cold. the heater hadn't been fixed. i had to move to next room 502 at 1am. someone came up immediately to my room and transfered my stuff to the other room though, it wasn't very pleasant to move to other room in the middle of night. I didn't hear any apology from the manager following day. ensure to check if the heater is working in winter
Tip : try to cocktails at Double9 bar on ground floor. tea infused cocktails are exceptionally tasty. i heard the bar doesn't belong to the hotel though.

Os Rooftops estão definitivamente na moda e este é mais um para juntar à colecção de terraços espectaculares com vista para Lisboa.
Localizado no Hotel 9Hotel Mercy em pleno Chiado, é difícil encontrar algo mais central. Para subir é só apanhar um dos elevadores do Lobby e seguir até ao último piso, onde se encontra o terraço. O espaço é pequeno, diria que dá para 20 pessoas no máximo. Existem pequenas cadeiras e mesas de centro, todas com vista. Um pequeno balcão serve de bar. Adorei o pormenor de existir uns binóculos disponíveis para os clientes poderem ver a vista. A musica ambiente torna a local ainda mais agradável.
A carta é reduzida (a que está aqui no Zomato está incorrecta) mas há cocktails para todos os gostos. Bebemos um Mint Jultep e uma Imperial.
O Mint Julep é basicamente bourbon whiskey e folhas de menta, e soube mesmo bem, porque o dia era de um calor extremo. Bem executado e apresentado, um bom cocktail.
Os preços das bebidas eram bastante simpáticos especialmente tendo em conta que é um rooftop. Já vi bem mais caros em sitios bem piores.
Serviço foi rápido e muito simpático, nada a apontar.
Se procuram um rooftop mais calmo e recatado, pequeno e acolhedor, mesmo no centro de Lisboa, este é ideal. Recomendo.

Très bon hôtel. Situé près du métro dans le centre de la vieille ville. Décoration en noir ce qui donne un style original et agréable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et cossues. Tout le confort nécessaire. Ne pas manquer le petit déjeuner.

Eins von wenigen Hotels im Bairro Alto, sehr gute Lage um Essen oder Aus zu gehen. Das Hotel ist sehr stylisch mit einer tollen Rooftop Bar mit Aussicht ueber den Tejo Fluss sowie die Burg und Altstadt.

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights at the 9Hotel at the end of 3 weeks of travelling around Europe. This hotel was just what we needed. It is in a great location near the sights of the city and literally across the road from the area of the Bairro Alto bars and restaurants. We were very happy here.

Rummet var något mörkt och inte jättestort, men med fin inredning. Väl fungerande air condition och wi-fi. Hotellet har ett bra läge, man ska dock vara förberedd på att det är en rad brant trappor ner till centrum av staden. I närheten finns flera lokala restauranger.

Great location, helpful staff but the inconvenience of the bar / restaurant hours makes it difficult to grab a bite or drink anytime. We arrived 15 minutes before breakfast closed and the food was still in place and they refused to let us eat! The next day when I asked for a coffee they instructed me to go back to my room.

As for me that was an amazing value and superb experience. Very stylish and clean boutique hotel, great and quite location (even though it is not far from busy streets). The rooms are great, big comfortable bed, a place to work and everything you need. I would say it is great for couples and quite romantic, with all kinds of ambient lights in the room, the view from the window, etc. The staff and the service in general was flawless. If I am coming back to Lisboa, that is the hotel I would chose without thinking,

Städtereise für vier Nächte. Die Ambiance ist recht gut, jedoch ist das ganze Hotel inkl. Der Zimmer etwas dunkel gehalten. Viel schwarz in allen Bereichen, auch im Zimmer. Im designmässig tollen Bad hat es eine grosszügige Dusche und separat-WC. Das Waschbecken ist jedoch aufgrund des darüber hängenden Spiegels nur zu zwei Dritteln nutzbar und es ist dadurch schnell alles verspritzt. Die Betten sind bequem und es hat ein schönes Lichtkonzept und eine leise laufende Klimaanlage. Mit dem Timer kann man sogar einstellen dass diese nach der gewählten Zeit (Stundenraster) abstellt. Damit hat man nicht die ganze Nacht Zugluft ( wenig aber dicht spürbar). Die Fenster unseres Zimmers gegen die Strasse waren gut Schalldicht, sodass wir durch den Verkehr nicht gestört waren. Es gibt ein sehr tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit durchwegs frischen Waren und guter Auswahl Inkl. dem berühmtem Gebäck etc.Die Lage ist sehr gut. Man kann zu Fuss nach unten in das Zentrum gelangen und hat auf der anderen Seite das Viertel mit den Bars und kleinen Restaurants. Es gibt eine Rooftop-Bar mit sensationeller Aussicht.Für die mangelnde Sauberkeit auf dem Fussboden gebe ich etwas Abzug. Die sollten in einen neuen Staubsauger investieren. Im Flur auf dem Teppich sieht man zwar, dass gesaugt wurde, aber es bleiben trotzdem Fusseln liegen. Dies ist auch im Zimmer so, wo aber kein Teppich sondern Laminat liegt. Ansonsten war das Zimmer aber sauber geputzt.

This is a small comfortable hotel. The majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a Prestige room which felt quite small. The room design was more design try hard than functional or quality and a bit 1980s. The breakfast was excellent and had been to franchised out to an independent operator. There is no restaurant in the hotel only a bar which is always empty. Overall an ok place to stay.

This is an excellent hotel. Room is clean and comfort. Closer to town center. Staff is wonderful. They are friendly and helpful. They help you solve everything. From rent a car, recommend local restaurant, even call honorable taxi. I strongly recommend this hotel to everybody

I felt myself circumvented, Mercy is not 5 star hotel!! It has (probably) 2-3 star level of comfort! I become very disapointed. Unfortunately almost all last times.
