Delicious Green Vege. The team creates really good atmosphere. A place where you come back. Large portions of dishes. Simple menu and two different dishes of the day every day. You can see how the chefs are preparing culinary rarities.

Un petit restaurant où il faut souvent attendre un peu pour avoir une table le soir, mais qui vaut vraiment le coup, si vous voulez des plats tres raffinés, délicieux et gourmands !

Really good vegan food. Nice restaurant and staff. The food looks great (well plated). And most importantly, it all tastes really good.
We had the ravioli and veggie burger. Delicious. The desserts were really good also. (Had the chocolate cake and the Oreo pie!)
We visited a 2nd time and were not disappointed. Make a reservation, because it's popular.

It's hard to find any place serving more than 2 vegetarian dishes in Lisbon. Finding a vegan one seems nearly impossible of you aren't of local knowledge. We - 2 flexitarians on the way to living vegetarian - didn't have one good meal in Lisbon (if you like bloody/english steak, codfish and tentacles, good for you, it's just not of our taste) till we found this, pretty inconspicuous, small, all vegan restaurant.
The interior is simple, yet modern and innovative. There is front cooking. There are several craft beers to try, also the only place I found to serve club mate.
The food is clearly not for every vegan-living person. This restaurant imitates traditional Portuguese food (meat, meat meat, fish) with saitan, soy and potatoes. You therefore will find "meat" and "fish" on the menu.
The taste is different to usual vegan food I ate so far, but really nice! The deserts are outstanding as well!
Prices are still a bit steep for what you get - supply and demand I guess - I paid it gladly, it's just so totally different and no one eats mussels next to you!!! I love it!
I have to rate -1 star since the staff was acting all unprofessional. It's no problem waiting to order like 20 minutes and its also fine to act a tad rough (the bill that comes in a small wooden box was thrown on our table, the drinks were roughly banged on the table).
I found it a problem though getting ignored wanting to 1.order a dessert 2.wanting to pay 3.taking away the plate from a customer who is still eating from it!
A note on the infamous Portuguese patience: There were 4 free tables, 2 tables wanting to pay and 6 customers waiting at the entrance for more than 30 minutes. At the same time there was 4 cooks (chefs) in the kitchen who were waiting for work, 3 staff members standing around waiting for work, also a dozen people who walked in and been sent away...suit yourself.
Also there were technical issues. While we were in the restaurant the air condition did break (34°C outside + open kitchen...) and the electricity went off. Not the nicest situations, but they can happen. Just don't expect anyone to talk about it.
So, if you are up for pricey, but tasty vegan experiments and are extremely patient, you defo have to visit this restaurant. There are no real options beside the AO anyway.
Hint: Reserve a table for dinner or eat before 18:00, you will wait forever if you don't!!!

Disappointed :( I was super excited to finally eat in this place. I was on holiday and as soon I entered in I've been completely ignored from the staffs. I didn't like so I left the place.

Disappointing :( I was really excited to try this place, the food looked great from the reviews, BUT the burger I ordered was very unexciting. I thought it was a joke when it was placed in front of me. Just some seitan and mushrooms on a bun, no side for €8. Some of the other dishes coming out of the kitchen looked a lot better, so perhaps it was just this menu item that lacked any creativity. Service was mediocre. I would not recommend or return here.

Really tasty veggie food. Their menu is a little strange (they don’t really explain what goes into their veggie “steak” for example) but was really impressed by the flavour. Their sangria was the best I had during my stay and the place looks like it’s always buzzing.

Ristorante vegan a Lisbona! Tra i locali vegan provati in città, di certo il migliore. Cibo gustoso e non troppo elaborato, molte pietanze sono ispirate alla cucina tipica portoghese e rivisitate in chiave vegan. Ho provato il seitan alla portoghese, davvero eccellente e mi ha ricordato i sapori e i profumi della cucina di mia nonna! La crème brulèe, buonissima, ne avrei mangiato all'infinito. Mi sono solo pentita di non aver provato almeno un altro piatto (i ravioli in pasta fillo al limone mi ispiravano tantissimo). Anche l'ambiente è davvero molto accogliente, i camerieri gentili e simpatici, pur non parlando portoghese e parlando poco e male anche con l'inglese, ci hanno aiutato e agevolato e siamo stati a nostro agio. Spero di tornare a Lisbona e, se avrò questa fortuna, sicuramente tornerò in questo locale.

Mit einem wunderbaren Nachtessen feierten wir hier unseren letzten Tag in Lissabon. Das Ambiente, das Personal: perfekt! Geht‘s noch besser? Ja, das Essen. Selbst wer nicht Veganer ist, wird hier konvetiert. Probier einfach den Schokoladenkuchen. Hab gar nicht gewusst, dass die Welt zu retten so lecker sein kann!

Ein cooles kleines veganes Restaurant mit portugiesischen Gerichten. Leider war mein Seitansteak mit den Kartoffeln ein wenig wenig und der Sud hätte intensiver sein können. Dafür war das typische portugiesische Sandwich einer Freundin in einer kräftigen leckeren Tomatensauce und so viel, dass ich noch mitessen konnte - ich glaube dass schafft man alleine garnicht. Der Hamburger in Whisky- und Käsesauce war geschmacklich ganz ok, aber die Konsistenz ausbaufähig. Das Burgerpatty hätte ruhig etwas Aromen durch Anbraten in einer Pfanne vertragen können. Eigentlich drei Sterne. Aber das Personal war so freundlich, die Vorspeise (Fischbällchen) superlecker und die Nachspeise (Creme Brulee) nicht übersüßt. Deswegen 4 von 5

For me, by far, the best vegan restaurant in. Lisbon. Very close to the train station "Cais do Sodré", walking distance of few minutes. Make sure you reserve a table, they are always full, because it is amazing.

We are not vegan, but nevertheless it was the best food experience for us in Lisbon. The chocolate cake for desert was our favorite!
The only negative point was, that the waiter got 2 out of 3 courses wrong (starter and main), although we pointed with the finger in the menu. So you have to be very careful what to say when you order. ;)

Great vegan food, going beyond the usual burgers... although they do those too! I had an interesting main of stuffed seitan pockets in a creamy cashew sauce. I also enjoyed a really nice crême brulée.

Top. Definitely reserve your table before going, the restaurant isn't huge and there was a line before it was even open.
Nice decoration inside, and the kitchen is open to the room, which is pretty nice.
We had a soup of the day, The tofu, the seitan and potatoes, a cheesecake and a chocolate peanut cake, with a bottle of wine, 58€. The prices are really good for what it is, which is great. Only the cheese board was 15€, it was hard to know how big it was so we didn't try.
The food was really good, very tasty, well balanced. The deserts were great. It was a great experience.
I tried a few vegan restaurants in Lisbon and this one may be the top 1.

Mir hat es in dem Restaurant sehr gut gefallen! Ich hatte Glück und hab den letzten freien Tisch bekommen. Auf der Tageskarte gab es eine Winterbowl, die sehr gut geschmeckt hat, und besonders gefreut habe ich mich über die Club Mate Cola. Der Service war total nett und zuvorkommend und alle sprachen auch super Englisch. Für portugiesische Verhältnisse vielleicht etwas teurer, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall!

We had menu of the day (soup+main course) + sweet potatoe with mayonese as an extra , what was simply lush! There's wide choice of drinks and deserts too.
Staff is very friendly & helpful!
Tip: keep it in mind the place is relatively small. If you are planning a visit make sure you book a table in advance or you might need to wait.

The whole place feels like a cozy cafe, with lovely staff. A lot of rustic and artistkc touches can be found here and there. Very big on the special scene in my opinion.
The food? Fresh, absolutely tasty, and fully vegan! Reasonably priced too! Absolute gorgeous!

I have recently turned Vegan and this was the first time I have tried any Vegan restaurant ever!
Good quality foods and very popular. Reservation is highly recommend.
I had the lentil burger with mushrooms and sweet potatoes. Really loved it.
For desert I have tried the Chocolate mouse. Maybe it was just me, but wasn’t a big fan of it. Tasted a little bit strange.
Service is pretty decent. Servers are very friendly but could be a little more attentive though

We were really looking forward this restaurant, as there is not lots of vegan restaurants in town. The place was crowded and we had to wait, which is not a problem at all if they offered you a drink or tell you how long you are going to wait for, but the information wasn't given. The food looked great but it was quite flavourless, bit of dissapointment. On the other hand the breath selection is great and the sweet potatoes are a must.

Selbst zur Mittagszeit sollte man vorher reservieren. Dennoch bekamen wir einen Tisch für 1 Stunde. Nicht besonders gemütlich, harte Stühle. Veganes Sandwich, halbiert, recht wenig auf dem Teller und mit 7 Euro zu teuer. Davon wird man nicht satt (war als ein Hauptgericht ausgewiesen). Lecker der vegane Schokokuchen (3 Euro). Getränke im Preis okay. Tee dünn, wie Wasser mit Geschmack. Insgesamt ein durchwachsenes Erlebnis.

This has been the best meal we've had across Spain and Portugal. It cannot be overstated: no other vegan or vegetarian restaurant has even come close. The rich, complex flavours and incredible value make this a standout vegan destination. (Nine euros may be a lot in Portugal, in some instances, but once you cross into Spain or France, you miss the modesty of that price tag.) We enjoyed two daily menu specials: the first was a creamy soup, and the second were lentil burgers and fries and coleslaw (for me) and a stuffed eggplant with pseudo cheese, purple rice and more greens for my wife. Both were incredibly filling, though that eggplant -- so oily, so well packed, so ecstatically filled and filling -- really stole the show. All too often, plant-based restaurants in Europe cater to hipster tourists with English menus, inflated prices and generic meals you could find at any restaurant in Europe or North America. Not here. It's truly a standout, original place, and the chefs are artisans. Good service, too. Kudos to everyone.

Bonne nourriture, mais le menu est restreint et le menu du jour cesse à 15H donc plus de soupe pour personne après cette heure... Service correct, mais peu rapide considérant qu'ils sont une dizaine d'employés pour un resto d'une trentaine de places.

Fantastic food. I would go back to Lisbon just to eat here again. Everything was so rich and flavorful and it wasn't food I could easily make at home for cheap. Plus, great price for the lunch menu. Cannot recommend it enough!

Ao 26's decor is modern and casual. The staff is very friendly and helpful and I felt very welcomed.
There are two ways of cooking vegan food, one is focusing on creative ideas to cook grains and vegetables (look at Indian food, for e.g), the other is replacing meat with meat-substitutes. Ao 26 chooses the latter and it suffers for it, greatly.
The food available is inspired in Portuguese dishes, but the choice of seasoning and meat substitutes to make the food taste like it's original forces the chef to cook dishes that are very hard to digest later. All at the table of 8 had a hard time digesting this food later.
Sadly, a wonderful place, but the food is not good. Will not be returning.

Excelente ambiente, decoração e staff muito simpático. Boa comida mas não excelente. Salada cheia de vinagre ou algo semelhante mas intragável (nos dias que correm e tendo em atenção ser um restaurante vegan a salada fica sempre ao critério do cliente ser temperada ou não - sugiro deixar na mesa temperos para quem quer e saladas livres de tempero para quem não quer), foram simpáticos ao trocar. Chá não há... Apenas de infusão perdendo por isso. Os cogumelos com natas estavam deliciosos.

Walked by here en route to another restaurant with my friend and noticed people waiting outside. We decided to ditch our prior dinner plans and try this place out. We are so grateful we did! Super friendly staff and great snack options. We had food before dinner time, meaning, the place only offered snacks, which was totaly fine. I can recommend the cheesy sandwich and the sweet potato fries. Mayonnaise had a loooot of garlic to it which I loved but maybe let people know!
The tasty burgers and sandwiches were topped only by this incredible slice of cake I took a picture of. Go there and see for yourself ;)

I loved the effort these people put to bring some alternatives to normal fair. It seems they are putting lots of love into what they doing and I’m very happy to say that the outcome is excellent. I think it’s not always easy to go out of norm specially where the culture might not be very vegan type, but these people are rocking it.
We had veg sandwich, lentil sandwich and quinoa salad plus the peanut butter choc cake. Everything was 5/5.

Me and my guests (one of them an experienced vegetarian) expected better from what is a long standing vegan project restaurant in Lisbon. Menu could be improved and enriched with newer ways of cooking veg.
Do note they say they have a policy of allowing you to choose something else if you don't like it.
Otherwise decor is nice, in a large hall of a renovated building and service is attentive.

Food is quite delicious! Have been to vegan restaurants at many destinations and this is one of the better ones. I liked that the dishes have a Portuguese twist. My favorite Main was the Seitan steak in mushroom sauce!

I have to echo a lot of the other comments, AO 26 is a very special place to eat!
We started by sharing the vegan cheese board, which was a delight. I don’t tend to eat vegan cheese as I never liked dairy cheese much, but really enjoyed the different flavours and textures on offer.
I then had the lentil burger, which was absolutely delicious, as were the sweet potato wedges. My dining partner had the seitan steak, which he enjoyed very much. The main parts of the dishes and the details were all well thought through and made a truly enjoyable meal.
Only regret is that I didn’t have enough room for desert!
Oh but make sure you book a reservation; we arrived at opening time with our table already booked to find a queue of people also waiting!

Loved this place! The overall experience was fantastic. We showed up with one extra person on our reservation and they were able to accommodate. The food was unique and out of this world. We got a bunch of different items from the menu and ordered some specials and everything was amazing. I can't wait to go back!

My partner and I really liked our meals here. We don’t usually do the whole start-to-finish appetizer, entree, and then desert because we’re both broke students, but we couldn’t help ourselves here and it was worth it!

Super food! We usually eat vegetarian and sometimes vegan, but even if you’re a meat eater you’ll love this place!
We got the dinner special, beer burger, mushroom risotto, crepe brulee and 2 glasses of wine. Totall was €50.
Food, service and ambience was great. We got there right before their 7:30 dinner start and there was 6+ people ahead of us; by 7:45 almost every table was taken. I’d recommend a reservation if you can plan ahead.

Great vegan food, very busy place booking is advisable if you want to be sure of eating there. Food is beautifully presented and very good. The atmosphere is not very relaxing because the restaurant is noisy with diners talking very loudly.

Adorei a experiência. Apesar de ser um sitio pequeno e ficarmos algum tempo à espera as pessoas foram atenciosas e simpáticas. A comida tem um aspecto super apetitoso. Pedimos o hambúrguer de lentilhas e o de beterraba. Os hambúrgueres em si são um pouco pequenos especialmente para o tamanho do pão, mas estava tudo delicioso. Pedimos também o sumo do dia e batata doce e definitivamente vamos voltar pois estavam também óptimos.

O melhor restaurante vegetariano (vegan aliás) da cidade. O menu varia do almoço para o jantar. Ao almoço não se pode não comer uma bifana de seitan. Ao jantar entre o bife de seitan e a francesinha, a escolha é difícil. O atendimento é impecável e o espaço muito simpático.

I'm not vegan but still enjoy vegan/vegetarian food and I'm curious about that type of cuisine. Therefore I decided to try Ao 26. And it is a good experience, probably one of the best vegan ones I've had. But, it falls short in comparisons to other dinner experiences. The portion sizes are too large, albeit price worthy. And some dishes lack proper seasoning. I think my biggest hangup with the concept is the ambition to imitate "traditional dishes" (with meat in them) instead of letting the vegan produces dictate the dishes. But overall it's not a bad experience, it just wasn't what I hoped it would be.

WE had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The dishes were eloquently garnished and hearty. The portion sizes were surprisingly large for the price too! We started with the sweet potato fries, and wow, they were the best we've ever had! Both the dishes of the day were well balanced, fresh and simply outstanding. We ended the meal with an marvelous piece of chocolate raspberry cake! WE wish we were in Lisbon another day to try more of their dishes, as every thing that came out looked delicious. Thank you for a delightful last meal in Lisbon!

Amazing experience from Ao 26. Me and my friend met up in Lisbon for a quick lunch before we continue our travel to other places in Portugal. We were impressed. Huge amount of food, amazing flavours, lovely people and fast service. I had a curry which was just impressive. I expected a lot less for the price. The menu costs €9.50 and you get a soup plus a main. If you're not hungry you would be full with the soup but the main course is even bigger. And I didn't even mention the dessert. If you're vegan or even if not, this place is really recommended. All together : I will be back. Hopefully soon. Thank you for this experience!

We tried the burgers and they were really good , and the sweet potato fries are amazing!! The chocolate cake was also so food , it is not easy to find such good vegan cakes ! Totally recommend

Its really nice and cosy environment but to be honest, I think the place itself is a bit hyped, no offense. Keep your expectations moderate and you will enjoy a tasty meal in nice environment. Since the dining area is a bit small, it can get a bit loud due to everyone chatting simultaneously.

Well, we just had an outstanding meal. I had the bloody beet Burger and my wife had the lasagna with seitan Bolognese. In each of these categories I've never had a better Burger or tasted a better lasagna. We shared a vegetable salad which did not live up to the fabulousness of the entrees. We shared sweet potato fries which were excellent.

Best vegan food I’ve had in a long time. Their seitan sandwich (I added their cheese and highly recommend it) was fantastic and their oreo peanut butter pie to die for. Prices were surprisingly cheap considering the quality of the food. Definitely do not miss!

seemed very pretentious in my opinion, a place for instagram vegans for sure. feel quite rushed as if each table is on a set time schedule. it was a good atmosphere but the food was very average and cold. i had the beetroot burger which was mushy and had little flavour. the sangria had little bits of leaves, petals and pips in it which did not add anything to the drink. i felt choked by the petals and pips - flowers belong in a vase not sangria! overall an underwhelming experience in an overrated restaurant. if you are looking for a delicious veggie meal head to Tease which is about 5 minutes away.

Restaurante Vegan bom, proporciona uma experiência gastronómica que vale a pena experimentar. Boa carta de vinhos. Não fiquei fã dos queijos. Os enchidos comem se, sendo que o emita as bolinhas de alheira era bom. Este restaurante tem pratos diários diferentes dos que estão na carta. Experimentei o empadão de legumes. E era bom. O risoto de cogumelos é bom. Vale a pena experimentar o bolo de chocolate. É diferente do que já comi anteriormente. A experiência no geral foi boa. Na minha opinião é um bom restaurante Vegan.

Veganská restaurace, prostory jsou velmi malé. Okolo 16 hodiny bylo absolutně plno, na jídlo jsme čekali skoro hodinu. Jako domácí limonádu za skoro 3e jsme dostali 2dc vody s citronem. Sendvič byl čerstvý s teplou zeleninou moc mi chutnal. Burger byl bohužel studený a celkem bez chuti.
Je super že se dá v Lisabonu najíst vegansky ale určitě je ještě na čem zapracovat. Hlavně pokud člověk zná Pražské podniky Forkys či Belzepub ;)

Fui con las expectativas demasiado altas a comer a este restaurante. Sí o sí tienes que ir con reserva, de otro modo, imposible tener mesa.
Las colas para acceder cuando llega la hora de apertura son larguísimas.
La comida no es nada del otro mundo. Es un sitio que ha cogido más fama por llamarse "vegan project" que por lo delicioso de sus platos.
El servicio de mesa es extremadamente lento además de camareros poco atentos.
No tienen ningún plato que destacaría aunque supongo me quedo con el Ratatouille. LAs raciones son normales tirando a pequeñas.

Nice upscale vegan dining, happy to see it seems to be popular... I would recommend a reservation for dinner or be prepared to wait a while for a table. Both the Tinto Sangria I had and the Seitan with rich creamy mushroom sauce were flavorful and delicious.

Expectations were high when I booked a table here and boy did the live up to it! We did the tasting menu which took us through genuine Portuguese dishes made to absolute perfection! This is an absolute must when in Lisbon! Coming from Sweden I also found it insane much value for money.

I don’t need to pay 12 -17 euros for vegetarian food I can easily prepare at home.

Friendly waiting staff, but disappointing food.
Had a lovely starter but the main was bland and stodgy. I don’t know why they’d serve it with such a budget burger bun. My friend had a salad for a main which had several ingredients missing. When she asked the waiter about it that they said they’d run out - they were just hoping she wouldn’t notice., which seemed a bit sneaky. They charged her €10 for a bowl of green leaves, with no offer to do anything about it. Overall, definitely not worth the money.

Ao 26 é um estabelecimento espetacular, os pratos e o restaurante em si são excelentes. Só é uma pena haver uma grande discrepancia de preços, acho ridículo o preço de certas entradas, são mais caras que o prato principal e não são nada mais que pão e azeitonas com outras coisas de pouco valor. De qualquer maneira recomendo este restaurante, o bife de Seitan é muito saboroso e tem uma boa apresentação, as sobremesas também são muito boas e o staff é super educado e simpático.

This place was amazing! The staff was really friendly, the space neat and tidy. I absolutely recommend Henry&June eventhough it's the most expensive on the menu. It is definitely worth it, an explosion os different flavors, bravo!

Sendo que em média fica 20€ por pessoa o prato e a bebida, não compensa.
A francesinha tinha demasiado molho de tomate, o tofu não estava muito bom e acabava por se tornar tudo muito enjoativo.

This restaurant is a great Vegan option. We came here in September 2019. Excellent appetizer of olive oil, bread, olives, lupini's, and paté.
We both had burgers which were good, not great. The taste was good and presentation was top notch. Fries were amazing. Texture and flavour of the cheddar seitan burger wasn't the best. Wasn't terrible though.
All in all, I'll give this place a 4/5. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in Portugal and try something else.

Arrived late for lunch so the special was gone. Got the Chocolate Cake with berries. The berries were great. The cake super dry and it just fell apart as a pile of crumbs. Sorry can't recommend.

Great vegan restaurant, need to book a place in advance and arrive more or less in time. The service was excellent, very professional and courteous, the waiters were welcoming, the dishes were delicious, fresh, large and varied, the food was satisfactory. High quality vegan restaurant, so it's recommended to reserve a table ahead (through Facebook for example). We had the daily soup, 2 hamburgers (soy and seitan), lassanga, and an amazing dish of scallops (made with mushrooms), caviar, mushrooms and blue spirulina foam on top of mashed potatoes. Creme brulee for dessert. Everything was absolutely amazing! English menu is available.

We absolutely loved our burgers at Ao 26. They were bursting with flavour, accompanied with crispy sweet potato fries. The funky design within the cafe made for a cool dining experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Lisbon, vegan or non-vegan.

By far, the best vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Lisbon that mixes a good atmosphere, welcoming service and delicious food. The only point to improve is that the menu offers rather 'heavy' dishes - fried, oily, cheesy and/or saucy - from starter to dessert. Could do with more variety of textures. Still... all very tasty. :-)

Restaurante vegano muy recomendable!!! De entrantes pedimos una tosta de escalibada y “sardina” y un pastel de “bacalao”. Todo vegano obviamente!! Muy recomendable la freijoada, aunque puede ser muy abundante para una sola persona después de haber comido entrantes. El servicio fue atento y amable. Se puede ver la cocina desde el comedor y el local es pequeñito y acogedor.

Lovely vegan restaurant. Very friendly staff and delicious food. We shared the vegan lasagne and colour bowl. Both were delicous. They also offer vegan versions of typical Portuguese dishes.

Amazing amazing food. Very kind service, friendly. Upscale casual ambiance. Reasonable prices and gorgeous presentation. I think vegetarians and non-vegetarians would both love this place. Definitely go for the "seafood" -- it's phenomenal. My dining partner ate all his mock duck rice and sardine bruschetta, but we had to agree I had the better order. Can't say enough good things.

Regardless the waiting time of 40 min , we did not have a reservation, it was worth the wait. We had Pastel de Bacalhau , a “sardine” dish with bread and for the main we had a traditional Portugese dish . The Francesinha and seitan steak prepared the Portugese way .. I hope I got it all right but nonetheless it was all super delicious ! Definitely recommend.

Excelente restaurante vegan, com pratos carregados de sabor e de cor, recriados a partir de pratos tradicionais portugueses. Espaço muito agradável com uma decoração contemporânea. A não perder!

Un restaurante vegano muy rico en el que adaptan comidas típicas portuguesas a la dieta vegana. Pedimos un arroz "de pato" que estaba espectacular. Los postres también muy elaborados. De precio muy bien: un entrante para compartir, dos principales, postre y bebida 30 euros. Repetiría sin dudarlo.

Accueil très sympathique. Service rapide, les plats sont originaux, fins et très bons.
Le lieu est agréable. Cerise sur le gâteau leurs bières et cidres artisanaux sont excellents !
En revanche si vous avez un tout petit budget ce sera pour une autre fois.

Szép, kúltúrált hely kedves személyzettel, viszont az árak szerintem elég magasak. Finomak az ételek. Nem akarok senkit lebeszélni erről a helyről, de ha olcsó vegán helyre vágysz, akkor látogasd meg az RDA 69-et.

Ao 26 may be expensive by Lisbon standards, but it is more than worth it. Simply put, we had one of the best vegan dining experiences ever here.
What makes Ao 26 special is that even when they emulate classic meat dishes - burgers especially -, they really put their own spin on it. The pastéis de »bacalhau« however taste just like the real thing if you like that though. The quality of the food and the care that goes into every dish make anything on the menu outstanding.
Add to that amazing wine, a friendly and welcoming service and you have all the ingredients for a perfect night out.

Fantastisch gegeten! Echt het aller beste vegan restaurant dat wij hebben gevonden in Lissabon. Pas na 3 pogingen lukte het om reserveren (is super populair) maar was alle moeite waard. Hele veelzijdige kaart!! De bediening is goed op de hoogte van alle gerechten, ingrediënten en dranken.

I was expecting a lot more from this establishment. The starters were nice however the main (burger + fries) was overpriced and slightly cold (you could tell it had been sitting under the food lamp for a while). Definitely not worth anywhere near €15 as you can get equally good vegan burgers in Lisbon for half the price. Also, we had a substantial issue with one of our starters which we raised with the staff; they tried to charge us for it at the end and we had to prompt them to remove it from the bill. On the plus side, the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, as are the staff. Their sister restaurant, O Botanista is a much better experience.

This is the best reataurant I’ve ever been to - the food was INCREDIBLE! portuguese food made vegan, we had francesinha and another portuguese dish, a mushroom starter and red wine. Staff was super welcoming too. Can’t recommend enough

The burger and raviolli we ordered were not great! I found the guy who was serving us not interested at all. He even forgot my raviolli and we had to wait longer. We went here with our 2 year old, and it looked like he had issues tat we had a lil one around! Disappointed specially after all the good reviews id read about this place! Would not return

I highly recommend the Henry & June (vegan seafood) as well as the homemade tortellini!

Great, helpful staff and great food. Always rolling the dice with vegan food when travelling and this restaurant was an amazing find. Great food and reasonable prices combined with the service mean 10/10 to me!

Eccellente. Non entro in questioni filosofiche pro o contro cucina vegana, scrivo solo che qui si mangia bene, il cibo è ottimo e aiuta molto il fatto che sul menù sia scritta la descrizione di un piatto al quale si ispirano. Ho provato il piatto "copia" del Pastel de Bacalhau, reinterpretato in versione vegana, così come un hamburger con salsa tipo senape e patate dolci: tutto ottimo, e anche una discreta scelta di birre originali. Aggiungete prezzi equi e cortesia, e un salto diventa obbligatorio. È sempre piuttosto affollato e non chiude tardi, noi siamo stati fortunati ma credo sia meglio prenotare.

When searching for a vegan restaurants in Lisbon this is one of the top rated ones, and we were also looking to eat something else but salads so we were excited to get to try some good vegan burgers - unfortunately we were really let down by the dishes, we picked the two burgers the waitress recommended, the one with the melted cheese and the tofu crunch one.
The tofu crunch didn’t really have a taste, just tofu fried with no extra taste, really blend.
The other one was a bit better but still, the patty didn’t really taste good and the cheese was too melted and didn’t have a good texture.
The only thing that saved the meal was the sweet potato “fries” which were really just sweet potatoes cut to fingers and put in an oven with good vegan mayo.
The prices are reasonable but a bit high for vegan burgers.

Kleines nettes Restaurant. Gute Auswahl an Speisen u Getränken. Nicht zuviel u nicht zu wenig.
Zwei Sterne Abzug dafür das die Toilette mitten mit im Raum ist u je nach dem wo man sitzt direkt die kloschüssel sieht und das essen war nicht wirklich geschmacklich angemacht. Wir hatten die color bowl und die fries als starter. Die waren top.

The staff was really friendly and professional. The wine was tasty, food really nice and well presented. Not too expensive and overall good value. We tried one of the chef special desserts and did not regret it. Making a reservation can be advised as there were people waiting.

I wish I could give it 10 stars. A truely remarkable, masterpiece of an experience. My wife and I agree, it's THE best plant based dining experience of our lives. The food is inspirational, mesmerizing, and superbly delicious. This is the first vegan restaurant we've hit since arriving in Lisbon hours ago, and if this is how our experience is going to be going forward, we're really looking forward to this trip! Big Town burger is a must. Francesinha & the ravioli are divine!

One of the most creative and best vegan places I ever ate at, and I used to be a vegan Chef myself for a few years. They veganize Portuguese classics but don't stick to mere recreation and dare to be inventive on their own. Highly recommended, whether you are vegan or not!

Não cheguei a provar a comida. Quando cheguei lá havia uma fila de espera e a funcionária que nos abordou quando chegamos disse nos que ia confirmar o tempo de espera e que nos dizia depois. Passaram se 10 ou 15 minutos sem a mesma funcionária nos voltar a dirigir a palavra. Fomos embora sem saber quanto era o tempo de espera porque simplesmente não havia interesse por parte da equipa do restaurante em que nós ficássemos e comessemos lá claramente. E não é tudo. O serviço de reservas é horrível. O pior que já vi. Não têm numero de telemóvel, tem que se mandar mensagem pelo Instagram (que foi o que fizemos antes de ir para lá pra saber se dava para reservar ou se tinha muita gente à espera para sabermos com o que contar) e 40 minutos depois ainda nem tinham visto a nossa mensagem. Resumindo, esta pontuação resume se estritamente ao fraco serviço de atendimento do restaurante, já que nem pude provar a comida.

Excellent restaurant. L'attente est longue (et impossible de réserver avec un numéro de téléphone étranger, point à améliorer eu égard à la forte fréquentation par des touristes étrangers), mais vaut le détour. Plats du jour très bien présentés, généreux, savoureux, et pas cher (8€). Idéal même pour les non-vegans ou non-végétariens, qui peuvent découvrir des plats et des saveurs pour moins cher que dans de nombreux restaurants locaux qui abusent parfois au niveau des prix, et surtout par rapport aux standards français.

We just had dinner at Ao26 and I'm still shocked by what I just experienced. We had a full cheese platter, a bifina and a francescina. And it was all vegan! It was incredible!

Best vegan place I have been to in a very long time. The staff is amazing cooks are fantastic and the servers are great. Everything on the menu is great and tastes like heaven. The best options at this location in my opinion are the big town burguer, tofu crocante, croque monsieur and the bifana. My personal favorite is always the chefs special which was absolutely fantastic, it changes though each day. For the prices it’s super affordable if you come from open to 6:30pm for lunch prices and after that they close and open back up at 7:30pm and the prices do go up to dinner prices which aren’t crazy at all. 100% worth the food also looks as good as it tastes!!!
Also remember to take cash for the tips for the servers they can’t do credit card tips!!!

My friends and I were visiting Lisbon and worried about having good options. As soon as we found Ao26, we never went anywhere else. We ate here a total of four times in the span of three days. The chefs specials were our favorite, bifana and big town burger & croquet monsieur are all must haves from the menu. Make sure to get the créme brûlée as well!!

A comida estava muito boa, apesar de termos ficado 45minutos a espera de uma mesa. Os pratos são recriações da cozinha típica portuguesa, por exemplo arroz de pato, francesinha, polvo... Mas claro com ingredientes veganos como substituição da carne. Estava tudo delicioso, achei é que apesar de ser vegan a comida é muito pesada e acabar por não ser muito saudável.

This vegan restaurant is along the 28 tram route. The staff were friendly, and managed to seat us even though we didn’t have a reservation (note: recommend you to book in advance). The mains were okay, not really a standout but still pretty good. for us what gives it four stars (rather than probably just a 3 which is still good) is the desserts. The Oreo peanut butter slice was to die for - I can’t believe it’s vegan, and a yummy chocolate mousse with an orange liquor. If you’re vegan (or have allergies etc) I definitely recommend you try AO 26 for dinner.

Un muy buen lugar vegano. Estaba todo muy rico, hay varias opciones de hamburguesas y bocadillos, y un par de ensaladas. También hay plato del día y sopa. Todo es casero y muy bueno. Las batatas fritas de entrante son deliciosas. Las bebidas son alternativas sanas a los refrescos habituales. La tarta de oreo, cacahuete y chocolate estaba muy, muy buenísima. El servicio y el lugar son muy agradables. El precio puede parecer alto para una hamburguesa, pero merece la pena, al ser todo vegano y casero. Comimos dos personas con bebida y dos postres por 33€.
