"I have two places I like to be. Portugal is one." Cliff Richard has said so. I have to paraphrase: "I have two places I like to be. Baixa House is one." We stayed three night in november in the Principe Real apartment and enjoyed it's simple luxury a lot. It had character and style and comfort, a lot of winter sun on the small balconies ovelooking the roofs. Fresh bread arrived every day to our doorstep, we had cheese and fruit and coffee waiting in our small kichen so we did not bother to go out for a breakfast not once. The whole building is lovely with bookshelves on every floor. You just cannot beat the location: everything is in walking distance and if you want to go to Belem (or MAAT or LX Factory) the tram stop is just a few meters away. There are so many fantastic bars and restaurants nearby. We could not have asked for more but still, there was more - there was an elevator! We have stayed a lot in lovely old and stylish apartment buildings in many places in Europe and to have the room with a view we have climbed so many stairs after dinners and after shopping so we really know what a luxury it is in and historic building!

Absolutely wonderful find, great location to visit the city. The breakfast is wonderful, accommodation so beautifully designed and presented, feels like home in minutes. Staff were all wonderful. Would love to give it 6 stars it's that good. Thank you for a great stay.

This is a great designed apartment in the heart of Baixa. Very tasteful with fresh fruit and bread every morning.

We stayed at the rooftop apartment in 5th floor. The rooms were very dusty and the bed room on the street side was super noisy. Staff was very friendly, the home made yogurts and daily fresh bred were tasty. The location in the old town is great as it is close to many restaurants and tourist attractions.

A fantastic stay at Baixa House, a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Very clean and gorgeous interiors. Kindly provided vegan cheese/milk which was very thoughtful. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in the future!

Prachtig home away from home in Lissabon

Dream house! That's what I could say. Stayed on 4th floor and has the best balcony view ! Lovely kitchen set and feel very homey! The building is very old so we could hear some foot steps from neighbor but doesn't bother me staying here. This is literally my favorite apartment hotel I have stayed so far.

Really authentic place to stay right in the heart of 18th century Lisbon. Fresh flowers, basic food staples, big comfy beds plus modern kitchens & bathrooms make this a must stay place.

Tout ça en plein centre de Lisbonne dans un décor sobre aux détails soignés, quoi de mieux ? Me encanto todo : el lugar, los detaillles bien pensados, el pan y el queso fresco, el cuarto de baño y la disponibilidad de los huespedes. Gracias!
