Spacious, clean, modern and excellent position. Very friendly staff. We have stayed twice at this hotel and will definitely go back.

Quem tem alma de artista vai se sentir em casa neste aparthotel butique com apenas 16 apartamentos e 5 quartos. o Artista, antiga residência dos anos 50 do ator Vasco Santana , na Rua das Portas de Santo Antão bem no centro hístorico. O conforto e elegância e um toque de “drama” no ambiente de uma atmosfera bem cénica. Imperdível!

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The suit with the kitchenette is just fabulous. They bring you everything for breakfast to your own fridge with baked goods on your door handle. The staff is really service minded and will bring you whatever you prefer, sometimes there were some small glitches but they were fixed. The location is perfect for touring Lisbon, the room is large with sound proofed windows, everything is new and very clean, thank you Valery in the reception for all your good advice. The restaurant is also very good but it is slow cooking so it takes time.

Possibly the worst mannered staff I have ever come across. The service in this hotel is very poor. That made our stay there very unpleasant.

Lacceuil est excellent avec des personnes qui parlent très bien français ou anglais et dun très bon conseil pour indiquer les bons endroits à voir et les bons restaurants. The hotel is in a great location in the old town of Lisbon. Many restaurants nearby. Lots of shops also, and it is a 10 minute walk to the shore line.

Das Hotel ist ganz neu eröffnet, alles ist modern und durchdacht gebaut/ eingerichtet und extrem geschmackvoll im Retro- Look arrangiert. Das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich nett und bietet bei Allem Hilfe an. Und die Lage ist toll zentral, so dass man nahezu alles zu Fuß besuchen kann. Wir waren so begeistert von der Stadt und dem Hotel, dass wir sicher wieder kommen werden.

Excellent, very helpful staff, comfortable hotel. Standard rooms OK for a couple but if can afford the little extra, a studio or suite is worth for the additional space. restaurant good.Area a bit noisy, especially at weekend, but thats the centre of Lisbon. Can close the windows / shutters for a quieter room at night.

Property is in beautiful condition in a first class location. Some very modern features that more senior visitors may struggle to utilise.

Hotel molto bello con arredamento particolarissimo. Personale simpatico ma secondo me la pecca resta il sevizio della colazione che non essendo a buffet si è costretti a chiedere persino l'acqua perché non sono scarsissimi. Le camere molto belle e tecnologiche (fin troppo). Per esempio i televisori integrati in un blocco di vetro, se non ti mettevi col telecomando a meno di mezzo metro, non accettavi gli imput.

Recently opened, lovely renovation, helpful and friendly staff. Large, quiet rooms, good wifi, well located and great courtesy in room breakfast and minibar.

This is our first time in Portugal and Lisbon. We were lucky to stay in O Artista, it made our visit so enjoyable and comfortable. Very cute, small ( may be 20-25 rooms) and new ( only one month) hotel. Hotel has very beautiful design, you feel like royal but very cosy atmosphere, every room has kitchenettes with upgrade of small appliances and full refrigerator for nice breakfast ( fresh cheese, ham, one day was watermelon juice, another day melon juice, butter, fresh eggs) in the morning fresh baked bread and puff pastries!!! It is all included. You feel as home. If you don’t want to have breakfast in the room, around hotel a lot of small nice restaurants for different amount $$ Nice night life around area, a lot of attractions around this location. Staff very very friendly, help with any questions we had during our stay. We would love to recommend our friends to stay in O Artisto and will be looking forward to stay again in our next visit of Lisbon. I hope to have same experience in our all trips but it is very unique so far!!! Thank you Staff of O Artisto for your professionalism and Desiner for enjoyable surroundings.

We stayed in this new hotel for 3 nights and we were positively surprised. All great, service, room, breakfast, the room equipment is just great. There are few hickups in the room, like not enough electricity sockets for all kitchen appliances, the room control over TV could be programmed better, but those are just minor issues, rest is just perfect.

My wife and I stayed three nights in the hotel recently. The hotel became operational just over a month or so. We hesitated over a few hotels in the area before I found O Artists. It was a great choice! It is very covinienly located at Rossio square one minute walk from incredible Igreja de São Domingos church. I already mentioned the hotel is new, the entire building was seriosly renovated. We have not seen other rooms but we were told that most of the rooms will or already have unigue features making them very distinct. The hotel and restuarant interiors are stylishly decorated. The amenities are high class. The most important thing is the personnel.  We had very warm greeting upon our arrival. Valeria briefed us about the hotel and showed a short video featuring previous building's owner (the portugeese comic actor). Marina is another name I have to mention. She served us the breakfasts. Marina, thank you very much! We planned to thank you before we left but you must have had a day off.  The last but not least... The hotel's team is led by the manager - Georges Hutschinski and he is amazing. He is very hard working person, we saw him in the hotel ftom early morning till late night. He reminded us of another hotel manager we met at Mexico and who became our friend (we know him for afew years already). George, Valeria and Marina - thank you for making our stay extremely pleasent!!! Obviously there are always things to improve. The breakfast - we would love to have self-served option with more food choice (there is preset menu served there now), it is not critical though. ⁣one more thing to add - we had a chance to meet the hotel's owner (he was in Portugal for a couple of days during our stay). He shared his future plans to develop the square next to the hotel. We wish him all the best. I am sure the hotel will be very successful and we will certainly stay there again in case we come back to Lisbon. We did not have a chance to have a dinner in the hotel's restsurant; we are thinking to do it on our last night at Lisbon. The buttom line - highly recommended! ​

Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden. Sehr nettes Personal und guter Service. Lage direkt an der Staatsoper und sehr zentral für die wichtigsten Eckpunkte in der Stadt Das Zimmer war jedoch recht klein und bei der Reservierung wäre eine klarere Übersicht der einzelnen Zimmertypen hilfreich gewesen.

The plug in the bathroom sink was inoperable making the sink unusable. Despite calling for its repair, this was. not done as the handyman did not work on weekends and then called in sick on Monday. To be fair we were offered a different room on the 2nd day, but as they hotel always said that it would be reported we did not change rooms. The only thing that marred a great stay.

This was a fabulous hotel, with great location, clean and modern in a beautiful old structure with lots of character l. Had very friendly and willing to help staff. Good value for money. Would defiantly recommend it to anyone.

Mille qualità in quest'Hotel. Non troppo grande, situato in un punto strategico della città, camere ampie, perfettamente insonorizzate, Staff educato e professionale al massimo, pulizia eccellente. Per la colazione vi lasciano un cestino con pane e croissant caldi fuori la porta. La colazione si può fare nell'angolo cucuna (perfettamente attrezzato) dell'ampia camera o al ristorante sottostante O Ato. Quest'ultimo è di ottimo livello, abbiamo mangiato coniglio e lingua favolosi. Abbiamo potuto affittare l'auto tramite l'albergo, che ce l'ha fatta consegnare davanti all'ingresso il giorno e all'ora pattuiti. La compagnia, Turiscar, si è dimostrata seria e conveniente. Ampia scelta di ristoranti nelle immediate vicinanze. Praticamente di fronte alla stazione Rossio, da dove c'è un collegamento diretto con Sintra. Insomma, vale la spesa. Decisamente consigliato. Excellent location, knowledgeable staff, and delicious breakfast. Our suite (top floor) was quiet and had plenty of room for our family of four.

La ubicación es ideal,la recepcionista es súper amable y te atiende siempre muy bien,la cocina del restaurante es de calidad con unos precios muy razonables.Cuando volvamos a Lisboa,sin duda este será nuestro hotel.

I would like to rate this hotel very high on its location. It’s centrally located to most of Lisbon attractions. Rosio train station is just walkable with few other spots at walking distance. Secondly, customer service is good too. What we didn’t like is the rooms, atleast one on the city side had thin walls. Being in commercial area you could literally hear people talking, laughing loudly at night times. Also for breakfast, it was same being repeated everyday and we should have been told that we could even opt for ala carte omlets. We were never informed :(. Apart from these 2 issues I would recommend this hotel for its location.

This is a very quirky hotel that we enjoyed enough to return to because our return flight was out of Lisbon. Each room is more like a one bedroom apartment, with a separate living area and kitchenette. It was great having extra space after living in one-room hotels. Nice bathroom with good products. The location is great. Valerie and Ruben, who greet you at the front desk, are wonderful as was the restaurant staff. We were greeted like old friends on our second visit. There’s music nightly in the restaurant which we loved. I would stay here again.

Wow... that is the first word that comes to mind when I think about our time at this amazing hotel. We stayed here for 6 nights in September 2019. The location of this hotel is top-notch, as is the amazing friendly staff. Upon check-in, our room was not ready since we arrived early, but they were more than accommodating to hold our bags, as well as putting my son's antibiotics in a fridge while we explored for a couple hours and waited for our room to be ready. When we returned to the hotel, they had our bags for us and up to the room we went. Our first impression was the same as our impression every day we were there, which was that this was the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in, and we've stayed at some very nice hotels. We splurged and got the suite when we booked. The kitchen has everything you need. Fridge, dishwasher, toaster, cooktop and microwave. Dining room was very nice. Both bathrooms were flawless and the cleaning staff was always top-notch. The TV's in the mirrors in the bedroom and living room was amazing, my son thought they were very cool too. TV is equipped with plenty of English channels, YouTube and Netflix. Cannot say enough positive things about the hotel staff. The front desk staff were always so friendly and helpful, and always greeting you with a big smile. The only downside was the breakfast was the exact same choices every day. There weren't a lot of Vegan options either but we managed. So if you're looking for a beautiful, clean hotel in the best location with the comfy-est beds and friendliest staff, look no more and book here. 5/5!

These are obvious issues in the rooms that should have been noticed and taken care of. We ask if we can have another room. They tell us not until tomorrow. We were only here for a weekend getaway and this hotel did a lot to try to ruin our weekend. There is not even any complimentary bottles of water and dental kits only when asked for. For $265 a night which is at the very high end of hotels in Lisbon, you should be get something a lot better.

Wonderful location with an excellent restaurant. In the heart of Lisbon this small hotel feels like a hidden gem tucked only one block off Avenue de Libertes. Highly recommend

What an amazing find this place is. The location is perfect - just a across the road from Rossio Station, but the service and quality of the rooms made it even better. The decor is superb, the room we stayed in (a family one) was large and comfortable and the staff couldnt do enough to help. It was our sons 3rd birthday while we were there and without us even telling them, we came back from a day out to find celebratory drinks and a mini cake with candles! We wouldnt hesitate to recommend them and we will definitely stay there again.

The location was perfect for access to sites, cafes, restaurants. The facilities of the hotel were excellent

The place is new and the decoration and finishing is very nice.It is definitely understaffed and the breakfast was much less than expected with one person serving all the tables which caused lots of delays and repeated errors in orders.The room door was not closing and the solution provided was to slam the door as hard as possible and this caused neighboring rooms to complain nit to mention that this is not secure.2 days without a bathroom as the maintenance was outsourced and is not available.I was not even offered an alternative room and I had to ask for it, still my request was denied.I am not sure if the management team and owners of the hotel are serious about their business.The neighborhood is crowded and the location is very close to so many attractions but I will not consider another stay in this place due to the lack of professionalism.

We loved O Artista, starting from the very moment we arrived and were greeted so helpfully by Valeríya and María da Paz at reception. They provided very clear information about parking, and from then on they assisted us in so many ways that optimized our first visit to Lisbon (directions, tour bus info, etc.). They are delightful! The hotels location is primo, right in the heart of central Lisbon, so its easy to walk to many main attractions, and the breakfasts are excellent. We are already recommending O Artista to friends who are planning visits to Lisbon and would definitely stay there again ourselves in the future. Our only recommendation is that the website might include better information about finding the hotel when arriving by car (since the hotels main entrance is on a pedestrian-only street).
