Horrible experience. The place is well located and is clean, but noise. I payed a lot for a private room but could not sleep, noise all night. Do not recommend if you want to rest.

Its a lovely place that serves free breakfast in the morning and the staff is super friendly and offer advice on the things that you can do in the city. The only downsides are that since its a wooden house, the floor creaks a lot, the bathrooms are quite tiny, and the fact that you have to climb up a hill to get there!

Zuerst: die Mitarbeiter sind bemüht und freundlich, ABER ich habe noch nie ein derart lautes Hostel erlebt. Selbst mit Ohropax und Decke über dem Kopf war es unerträglich. Die Wände wackeln, wenn jemand Türen zuwirft und man hört jedes Wort von anderen Zimmern. Die Dusche war teilweise kalt, das Bad hatte manchmal einen üblen Geruch (obwohl es geputzt wurde) und der Frühstücksraum war ziemlich verschimmelt. Die Terrasse mit Blick über die Stadt war für uns nicht zugänglich.
Wir hatten ein Zweibettzimmer, das in etwa 5 qm hatte und haben 60€ pro Nacht gezahlt, was ich persönlich sehr viel für den Zustand finde.

Nous étions en voyage scolaire pendant 1 semaine voilà nos observations
Services aggréables ,mais il y a de nombreux désaggrements les sanitaires et douches étaient très insalubres ,il y a présent des ordeurs insupportables et constantes,quelques chambres n’étaient pas comme présentées sur le site et il faisait froid dans les chambres.Mais le bon côté était le petit dej à notre service car nous avons pu préparer nos déjeuners grâce a la disponibilité de la cuisine.Ce fut quand même un séjour inoubliable. Nous espérons que vous prendrez en compte nos remarques.

It would be the perfect hostel if it had private showers where you can lock the door and not just a curtain. Other than that, the place is very nice and friendly. Mostly travelers.

This hostel is nice, but it needs better showers and toilets with more privacy. The location is OK, but its on the top of a hill, which can be bad for some people. Other than that everything is great!

Everything is good in this hostel, with the exception of the bathrooms and the fact that its on a hill(but thats not unusual in this part of Lisbon). I recommend it!

El personal muy amable, esta bien ubicado el Hostel es muy antiguo las habitaciones tienen un inmobiliario escueto y envejecido que se debería renovar. Dispone de cocina compartida para quien quiera utilizarla previo pago solo se sirven desayunos por parte del establecimiento.
Lo que si veo que se debería mejorar son los baños muy pequeños para tanta gente ya que son compartidos y su limpieza si deja que desear ya que al ser compartidos por tanta gente enseguida se ensucian.
Pero eso sí es bastante económico.

Hostel bem aconchegante com quartos privados e públicos, área externa de convivência, cozinha, banheiros e tudo que há de melhor! Wi-Fi free e cafézinho da manhã tem! Mas é o basicão. Foi uma ótima experiência. 1 ponto ruim é que os banheiros são minúsculos e as portas são pesadas para abrir! Então faça uma musculação antes de se hospedar aqui tá bjos bye bye

I would say best hostel in town, but I never went anywhere else after this. Such friendly staff and homely admosphere. Yes, the bathrooms could be a bit bigger, but that is five minutes of my day and they are easily forgotten when I have my breakfast in the garden and chill in the hammock. I don't know if they still cook for their guests, but the nights eating in the garden with 30 other guests and then hitting the town together are unforgettable. Major chillout!

No se lo recomiendo a nadie, el lugar muy oscuro, muy sucio, los baños muy pequeños y muy sucios, solo me quede una noche después de haber pagado 4 noches, pero decidí irme porque no estaba cómodo, deben mejorarlo un poco.

This one was the dirtiest and oldest hostel I've ever been. The pictures were a complete lie comparing to what I've seen. Not enough supplies (no toilet paper, soap etc.). Their costumer services were unacceptable!

Nice youth hostel near to the center, to the metro, with comfortable beds, sympatical view, pleasant staff, quiet room, cool offers and cheap price ! BUT because nothing is Perfect, the showers are too Small, and it's impossible to adjust temperature, it's only very hot or very cold ^^

Das Ambiente im Hotel ist super. Die Leute sind gut drauf und das Personal gut gelaunt und freundlich.
Meine Matratze war allerdings durchgelegen, sodass ich mit dem Rücken auf einer Querstange des Lattenrostes lag, für eine Nacht aber in Ordnung. Die Duschtüren waren kaputt, ansonsten waren das Bad in Ordnung. Das Frühstück ist etwas dürftig, aber in Ordnung.

Nice hostel for a good price. The little garden is chill and the staff very friendly. All very laid back but still clean with good facilities. Only problem is that the showers are small and have little pressure. Would stay again!

Local limpo e organizado, funcionários prestativos, simpáticos, falam português e inglês, com bastante hóspedes jovens, extrovertidos e animados. Preço bom, pequeno almoço incluído, Wifi com sinal muito bom. Super recomendo esse lugar.

Avoid at all cost, at least in the winter. Cold room, no heating. Female bathroom without lock, grim corridors. Only good thing is the staff, quite kind and helpful but unfortunately doesn't compensate for the lack of maintenance of the building, not to repeat

I enjoyed most things about it,?excep sink, faucets in bathroom. No towels on floor as you step out of shower. You need a lift in the building. No heat on November 8th !

Preço simpático, quarto corresponde. O que foi péssimo foi o WC estar realmente inundado, com água a cair dos canos. Além de nunca ter sido limpo. Não recomendo.

I recommend the staff to check the mattresses because some of them have mold. The ventilation of the toilets doesnt exist at all, was all the time a bad smell and water in the floor and in the sink. The breakfast was the cheapest one, bread bimbo with nutella or butter, yogurt with cereals. No fruits, no croassaints, no ham, no chees. Although the living room was the only space was really well presented and the garden. The stuff are really nice too.

Its ok, its a hostel and you get what you pay for. Staff are super friendly and its generally very comfortable. Breakfast is basic but fine for the price.The low rating is for the bathroom. Theres no real ventilation so the walks and shower curtains are very moldy - they really need a wash and look like they rarely are. There isnt much room, so when busy its irritating to get a shower. The cubicles are so small you knock the tap and are constantly making the water cold or hot. The floor in the bathroom will make your feet/socks black! Im not sure its ever cleaned. Overall, its ok.

DO NOT STAY HERE
This is by far the most disguisting hostel I have ever stayed in. There is dirt and mold everywhere which is extremely unsafe. The horrible smell coming out of the bathrooms can be noticed everywhere and the staff is very well aware of the problem as they are suffocating the entire place with room spray every afternoon which only helps for about an hour.
Do not ever stay here, this hostel is a danger to your health and my boyfriend's asthma has worsened significantly in the 3 days we stayed here due to the mold that is in every corner of the bathroom.

nice staff, good kitchen and breakfast, clean room and bed, small garden downstairs.
BUT ... really small bathroom and it smelled like cat litterbox and some mold in the shower.
I had a non-renovated room. (room 16, with the brown wooden beds) very small room for 8 persons. the balcony door wasn't really working. the balcony in front of our room was the "roof terrace", which was advertised to all guests. was very loud when people sat there also cigarettes and weed smoke moved into our room

This booking says there is an airport shuttle available, I contacted the hostel as soon as I made my booking and they answered when I was on my flight telling me its not available. They proceeded to give me a room on the top floor and I asked if I could have a bottom bunk as I hurt my ankle and they refused as people are leaving on different days. The bathrooms on the top floor were very gross I had to use a different floor to shower. The hostel is in a good location but there are many hills in the area.

Close to city centre. Many eating places and shops within walking distance. Very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean apartment. All necessary equipment supplied. Enjoyed our stay in it.

This is worst hostel I have stayed in EVER! They do not offer the services they say on hostelworld and the staff all except one were extremely rude, condosending and had no customer service skills what so ever. We stayed for one night and checked out a night early as we were so unhappy. (Also we were told no one was able to issue a refund as the owner was away - so we have lost over €40). A couple of key problems:
No parking (we had to park over 30mins away),
No drying facilities for laundry when raining, the member of staff on duty told us we were unlucky and then laughed,
The room smelt awful - like dog poo,
Cigarette butts spread through room (probably added to the smell),
Other guests clothes clothes all over the room and floor,
Showers we ridiculously small and smelt like stale urine.
Large number of school children drinking in the hostel while on a school trip,
On the morning after our stay we waited to speak to the Manager Anna who laughed while we explained the problems and was finding the issues funny while joking with other staff members, she was then very reluctant to give her name and uninterested in offering any help and told us to write a bad review and had no care or regard for the hostel customers.
My advice would be to stay well away! Not cheap and definitely an AWFUL hostel!

Pokoje były całkiem w porządku, przestronne, ale okropnie zimne, wróciłam do domu z gorączką. Fajnie, że mieliśmy w pokoju balkon, szkoda, że nie dało się go szczelnie zamknąć.
Obsługa nie zna angielskiego. Spóźnialscy będą głodni. Przyznaję, weszłam do kuchni późno, bo jakieś 2 minuty przed końcem śniadania. Ale po pytaniu, czy mogę jeszcze zjeść, kobieta na moich oczach wrzuciła jedzenie, które zostało...
Nic jednak nie przebije łazienek. Jedna na piętro, czyli dwa prysznice (z czego jeden bez zasłony), dwie toalety i dwie umywalki na 5 około 10 osobowych pokoi. Dodajmy, że są tak malutkie, że osoby przy umywalkach muszą wyjść, kiedy ktoś skończy prysznic.
Nie daję minimum, bo ostatecznie wyjazd był udany i lokalizacja hotelu jest dobra.

Désastre ! Lieu fait pour les fêtards et personnes qui dorment la journée. Bruit CONSTANT (gens qui boivent et qui hurlent, portes qui claquent, on entend les gens marcher et parler, etc), très mauvaise isolation, hygiène déplorable (salle de douches sale, toilettes mal propres). Les fêtards ne respectent rien. Impossible de dormir. Petit déjeuner très pauvre. BREF, venez que si vous voulez boire et hurler. Sinon, prenez un hôtel, c'est 100% plus rentable qu'ici niveau qualité et confort/prix.

Voyage scolaire en février. Il faisait froid dans les chambres. L'hygiène est complètement à revoir ! Le petit déjeuner casi inexistant. Très déçue. Je ne conseille pas du tout

The hostel is in a great location and has a cool vibe if you want to meet new people. It is very close to the metro and many neat restaurants. However, the bathroom was dirty with mold visible in several places, and I could not get hot water in the shower. The beds are comfortable.

Nice place to stay in a quiet but central area. You can walk to major turist attraction and experience hidden sides of Lisbon. Great staff very friendly and wise. Amenities a bit small.

The staff were really nice. I was quite sick and needed to see a doctor when I stayed and the staff were very helpful in giving me advice for which hospital to go to. When I got back and checked in, there was one charismatic staff member who even carried my backpack to the top level where my room was. All in all the staff were the standout.
In terms of facilities, it was decent however the bathrooms were tiny and the showers had little to no privacy so you had to pick your time of day and use your towel over the shower screen as two showers with clear screens were adjacent and the had a shower curtain only between the shower area and toilet/sink.
The kitchen seemed spacious enough and had a really nice balcony area with a view of the neighbourhood, and of the freshly laundered sheets and towels from the hostel hanging.
The rooms themselves had spacious and safe locking draws. The rooms were small and you can hear people in the other rooms easily especially with the window open as it was very hot in the rooms and no fans or aircon. I found the stairwell inside with the seats to be a nice safe haven to Skype friends at night and it was also much cooler. The beds were creaky and my light didn't work. There was also not enough charging spots for everyone and the bed lights. Another power strip would have solved this.
The hostel is nice and close to a small supermarket, restaurants and a pharmacy, though a fair walk away from the trains and some parts of the area later at night can feel slightly unsafe, meaning you walk quicker.

Its a nice hostel but we missed a bar, ,the living room wasn't too cozy either. Also the bathrooms weren't that handy, as in other people in there could see you naked and one shower just didn't warm up. But the room was pretty clean tho

Fabulous hostel in comparison to a few others my friend and I have been to. Lots of food storage with three kitchens, a chillout area, and a large garden in the back. Cool double bed in room 6 so ask for that as it comes with the only balcony. Bathrooms could use a renovation as they smell quite bad but do the trick!
Doors slam quite loud so at night it can be an issue. Small supermarket within 5 minute walk. Horrible vertical street to roll luggage up so try and find another way! All in all a fantastic cool hostel spread out over three floors.

Quartos grandes para muitas pessoas, em beliches desconfortáveis. A casa de banho tem dois chuveiros e toilet em compartimentos onde cabe meia pessoa. A limpeza no geral podia ser melhor.

숙소가 심하게 오르막길이고요
자는데 옆방소리가 잘들리고 욕실은 작고 여자샤워실은 모르겠는데 남자샤워실에는 한겨울철에 찬물만 나왔습니다. 조식도 직원분 밤새 놀다가 늦게잤는지 셋업도 잘안되있고 밤새 시끄러워요 복도에 누가 지나가는지 잘알수있을정도에 방음이 안됩니다

I booked for a couple of nights, and extended for several others - at the end I didn't want to leave! Toilets are a bit of a squeeze, but for the rest, all very comfortable and clean and the staff is great!.

Beautiful and affordable, staying at Chillout has been an lovely experience. The staff is welcoming and helpful, they really look after the areas carefully as cleaning is done on a daily basis and the beds are quite confortable. What's more, I've met many people that I truly did enjoy and will remain friend with for a long time.

purtroppo non posso dire di aver avuto una bella esperienza...io e i miei compagni ci siamo trovati davanti a dei bagni molto sporchi con acqua che fuoriusciva dai lavandini a causa degli scarichi probabilmente tappati...senza parlare della puzza !!! la camera era carina se non si guarda alla finestra con un pezzo di carta al posto del vetro e che sotto si stacca dal telaio...di dover uscire in corridoio per accendere la luce e la carta da parati che si stacca...ma più di tutto che mi ha colpito è la scarsa igiene calcolando che è un posto pubblico e che tutto è obsoleto e molto decadente...direi che è ora di sistemare per bene prima di continuare a prendere clienti.
