it’s more expensive than other places in Portugal + they give bad advice on wave conditions + could be way more friendly ... there are many other surf rental places in Ericeira, avoid this one.

We had an AMAZING time. Firstly, my wife and I did a group lesson. This was a great introduction to surfing where we covered the basics and it gives you an inexpensive taster to see if you are going to enjoy it or not. We did. Next time, we booked a 2hr private tuition, just us and one of the instructors Joao. He was fantastic, spoke great English, was very patient and he had us both on our feet before the end of the lesson. Really friendly people in the ‘Na Onda Surf Shop’ too! They had all sizes of boards and wetsuits to fit all different people. All of the rental equipment was clean and in good order. Lastly, we ate twice in the ‘Na Onda Bar & Restaurant’ also on the beach. The food was superb, the service friendly, the prices good and the toilets were really nice and clean (this is definitely worth mentioning in Portugal). My two older kids had a great time in their beginners surf lesson. Both go the hang of the basics and managed to get in their feet by the end of the lesson. Lots of attention and two instructors in the group . Found all the staff helpful and friendly.

The lessons are overcrowded, you are one out of 8 people for one teacher waiting to be called try 3 times and wait again. You spend in total 10 min in water. You totally dont feel surfing vibe, surfing is about keep trying and here you had no option for that. It feels like production line and the school doesn't mind if you will come back, they will have next tourists.

It was alot of fat old surfers that don't like new people on the beach! A friend of the owner wanted to beat up a guy that had never surfed here ! Other newcomers got the wrong size of there boards so they didn't learn anything. My advice to the owner, the tourist is what you live on!!!!!
