This place was amazing. The views were spectacular and the drinks were so yummy. I love the outdoor seating-- its perfect for watching the sunset! The staff is very friendly too!
There were also cute storks too!!

Bel endroit, belle terrasse et belle vue. J’y ai juste bu un verre en après-midi donc je ne connais pas la qualité de la cuisine.

What a view from this restaurant, overlooking the Marina, Faro old town and new town. The service is second to none, whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner.A distinct feel of a cut above the rest without being pretentious. Food is definitely quality with a well stocked bar and wine offerings. Highly recommended.

We had dinner at Ria Formosa yesterday and we couldn't be anymore happier. Staff were very friendly and attentive from the beginning until the end. We didn't have entree only the couvert with bread, sticks and a trufa butter plus a patee ( can't remember the name but was amazing). I had the duck with risotto for the main and my wife had the vegetarian asparagus risotto. Both were delicious and the presentation was spot on. As we had our little baby boy and my wife is pregnant we didn't drink but their wine selection is good and the beer on tap is a must. We finished up our experience with the famous and delicious Dom Rodrigo. This dessert is famous in the Algarve and I reckon it was the best Dom Rodrigo I have ever tried in my life. We had a lovely table overviewing the Faro bay thanks to Fabio (reception staff at Faro Hotel) who kindly booked that table for us earlier that day. We had a great time and we will be back very soon.

Hatten einen schönen Abend im Restaurant. Man kann sich auch mal etwas gönnen. Preise sind für ein Gourmet-Restaurant angemessen. Die Speisen haben sehr schön ausgesehen und auch gut geschmeckt. Manche Kombinationen sind evtl. etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, ist aber Geschmackssache. Wir waren super zufrieden, da man auch nur einzelne Bestandteile auswählen kann und nicht gleich ein komplettes Menü essen muss.

Rooftop Cosmopolitan (au même étage que le restaurant) prétentieux et sans intérêt. Peu de choix de snacks en cette saison (mars) dont un « super » guacamole industriel, quel dommage. Je recommande pour prendre un verre et profiter de la vue mais rien de plus.

A Ria é extensa. O pedaço agradável mais próximo a Faro fica entre a praia e a Quinta do Lago.

Most sure it is the best view you can find in Faro, especially around sunset time. It will be busy though, some come an hour before.to catch a nice seat with a clear view. The bar is ar the top of the hotel which can be accessed through the elevators passing the reception. There is even a pool there in the Summer, but i have never visited it. Prices are a but upscale, but still very affordable. I haven't had food there, but the cappuccino's and cocktails are great.

By far the best restaurant I've had the pleasure to visit in Faro. Staff were excellent, views are stunning and the food was a work of art. Really worthwhile to have dinner in here. Highly recommended.

We were expecting a bit better partly because of the reviews partly because of the location, but we did not enjoy the food to much, specially for the price, the view was not bad but not impressive either, i would recommend to go for a drink but definitely not for dinner

Simplesmente uma das melhores refeições que já tive na minha vida. O menu degustação é excelente. A escolha de vinhos para acompanhar é de alto nível. O serviço é absolutamente maravilhoso. Passamos uma grande noite lá e só temos a agradecer.

Un buen hotel con unas vistas impresionantes desde su terraza abierta a público como bar restaurante por lo que es de los mejores sitios donde tomar una copa o cenar.
Las habitaciones son amplias pero al menos la que me dieron a mi necesita una reforma.
El televisor tienen bloqueado el sonido tan bajo que es imposible escucharlo.
La alfombra de los pasillos deberían ya renovarla pues da muy mala imagen.

Nice View But why close the doors on the Terrace just to keep the Staff warm inside when no other clients were inside.. The staff were a bit rude to most of the clients on the terrace everytime they tried to re enter through the door they came on to the Terrace .. Need a bit more thought

Great view and it’s a good spot to have some drinks which are good. However, the staff is pretty slow and it took them ages to bring what we ordered plus the whole place was quite empty.

Beautiful place with lovely food. The terrace is a great spot for the marina view and old town, nice atmosphere to enjoy the beautiful sunset with good cocktails, wine or cold beers. I also had dinner, it was the scallops for starter and the lobster risotto for main. Both were delicious and generous portions I was delighted. My daughter had a steak with chips, it wasn't tender so that disappointed me but I will still highly recommend the sea food I had.

Hotel restaurant but it has an excellent position, and the food was very good. Expensive of course, particularly for Portugal where we ate well for much less elsewhere, but not outrageous. Finally got some port as well.

Óptima apresentação e local também. Atendimento bom mas bastante "verde" ainda. Apresentação da refeição acima da média, preços acima da média. A única razão pela qual não dou 5 estrelas é o sabor dos vários pratos que vieram para a mesa, normal e nada que sobressaísse.

Very nice atmosphere. The panoramic scene is magnificent, but the sunset doesn't meet one's expectation: there's a building obstructing the view.
The food is the weakest point. There's a clear effort to prepare elegant dishes, but it is (alas) unsuccessful.
Fish (including bacalhau) is terrible. The salads are barely sufficient. Bread and flavoured butter/cheese are good. The waiters are polite, kind and patient. They all speak English.
In conclusion: difficult to judge, but taking everything into account, no more than 3 stars.

There is very few good restaurants nevermind top tier restaurants such as this in Faro. Outstanding meal and service with an amazing view.
We had beef carpaccio and pea soup - both excellent. The beef carpaccio had a delicious lemon drizzle.
Mains was a mushroom risotto and prime beef. Both excellent and well presented.
Desserts - brownie with orange sorbet and orange tart with orange sorbet. Both excellent but the brownie and orange sorbet had the edge, the combination was delightful.
Make sure you visit at sunset.

It was a very interesting fine dining experience, although I was there during a conference dinner, so the menu might not be representative of the regular one. The courses were elaborate, beautifully plated variations on the local cousine. Very friendly staff, and the location is flabbergasting - the views from the rooftop can make you dinner all by themself.

It's amazing how to place isn't as much crowded as it deserve to be. The view is stunning and by far one of the best rooftops I've ever had the chance to visit and enjoy the view. The twilight is just gorgeous and with a full view of the horizon in Ria Formosa. This is definitely a MUST GO for anybody visiting and looking for a nice, calm, and not stressful environment. The good is amazing. The hotel is very cosy and the staff is friendly, professional and well mooded. Go for a dinner, for a Glass of wine or just a coffee. You wont regret it.
I'll return for sure.

Ristorante panoramico dell'hotel Faro da cui si può ammirare il porto turistico della città. Il servizio è molto attento e simpatico. Non so dire i prezzi perché non mi è toccato pagare ma il menù era buono ma non eccelso: visto il contesto mi aspettavo di più.

Sencillamente fabuloso, la atención del personal, la calidad de los productos, la presentación de los platos, la fantástica cocina, la carta de vinos... No se puede pedir más, además, si el tiempo acompaña, se puede cenar en la terraza sobre el parque y sobre el puerto deportivo. Si pasa por Faro y quieres comer de lujo, este es el restauran que que debes visitar.

I had an excellent dinner at Restaurant Ria Formosa, that is actually the restaurant on the rooftop of Hotel Faro. I tried the Ria Formosa tasting menu and it was delicious! Calm ambiance, nice service and great views overlooking the city. Recommended!

Sehr edles Restaurant über denn Dächern von Faro. Preise sind entsprechend höher. Die Speisen geniesst man im toller atmosphäre mit kompetenten Personal. Für ein romatisches Nachtessen sehr zu empfehlen. Die Qualität ist aber nicht ganz dem Preis entsprechend.

The food was amazing, the wine exquisit and the waiters very friendly and kind. They did get our orders wrong so I believe that the little electronic device they use to take down people's orders is not actually making things more efficient but less ;-).

In case you're searching for the restaurant, too: it is located on the fourth floor of Faro Hotel.
It is a very good restaurant with a very nice view on the marina. Though, it is obviously not the cheapest restaurant in town (main dishes between 10€ and 25€) and don't expect big portions.
