Excellent restaurant, great food and great service. A small but varied menu. Everything we had was fresh and beautifully cooked. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. If you can get a booking it's definitely worth a visit.

Très bon restaurant! Le patron est sympa, la Sangria excellente, le bar avec la sauce aux fruits de la passion aussi, le plat vegan est copieux. Les desserts sont aussi très bon (n'hésitez pas avec la poire pochée !) Pensez à réserver, le service s'arrête vers 21h.

Sehr gute Küche. Bringt frischen Wind in die doch sonst sehr traditionelle, portugiesische Küche. Sehr freundliches Personal, kompetent und inhabergeführtes Lokal.

Die Speisen waren sehr gut angerichtet. Auch wenn sie nicht sonderlich groß waren, haben sie trotzdem geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, nur hätte er etwas lockerer sein können. Insgesamt war das Ambiente deswegen nicht so entspannend und eher etwas gedrückt. Da es sich hierbei jedoch im Vergleich zu den üblichen Restaurants im Ort um etwas hochwertiges handelt, 4 Sterne!

Sehr klein aber wirklich toll
Die Preise sind bei diesem Angeboten absolut super.
Wir hatten als Hauptspeise Seeteufel mit Kartoffeln mit Riesengarnelen .
Einfach lecker .Als einzigen Kritikpunkt hätte man in der Karte erwähnen können das Koriander als Gewürz verwendet wird das schmeckt ja bekanntlich nicht jedem.
Die Vorspeisen waren der Hammer.
Meine Frau hatte Scalops und ich Lachstatar.
Muss man echt probiert haben.
Zum Nachtisch Mousse au chocolat mit Portwein.
Also wenn man mal in Lagos gut Essen möcht dann hier.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Excellent dîner servi dans ce petit restaurant (une vingtaine de couverts). Nous avions réservé en passant la veille. Le patron est très attentionné. La cuisine est délicieuse. Le cadre et la musique d'ambiance sont agréables. Tout est réuni pour une belle soirée.

Giving a 3 stars based on overall reviews.
Never been there but will be and hope to update this review to 5 stars.
My only concern is that a "REAL PORTUGUESE FOOD RESTAURANT" has a ENGLISH/FRENCH name "REAL PORTUGUESE" and "CUISINE" guys, come on... I know there are loads of foreigns living in the area but if it is real it has to be more realistic.
Advice from a Portuguese speaker who lives in Portugal and wanted to see less and less local culture being missed.

Honestly, don't bother with this place. There are way better places around for better food, service and price.
To start with, the male waiter almost didn't let us in (I had made a booking 2 nights beforehand for Valentine's day because we don't usually do "fine dining" ever) just because he kept cutting me off and not letting me finish my sentence. He continued doing this to us all night; when we were trying to order food, when I was trying to ask for a clean knife that didn't have oil stains and old dried up food on it and when I was asking for the bill. I ordered the sea bass with passion fruit sauce and my girlfriend ordered stuffed zucchini. We also waited an hour for the food. Easy to say that both dishes were below average, tasteless and very overpriced. The other female waiter, was very nice though.

Ein super schöner Abend. Zuvorkommender Service, sehr gute Ente mit gegrillten Früchten, Filet Mignon - sehr zart und rahmige Pilzsosse. Der Nachtisch perfekt: Birne in Portwein gekocht, alles sehr professionell und leicht zubereitet. Viele Extras von der Küche: Prosecco, Erbeeren mit Schokososse, Portwein...Hoffentlich bleibt das lange Zeit so...

Piccolo ristorante a pochi passi da un ampio parcheggio e lungo una stretta via pedonale.
Importante la prenotazione soprattutto in estate .
Ho preferito cenare al interno che lungo la strada ... sicuramente più elegante.
Ho preso tartare di salmone con avocado e frutto della passione.
Spigola con patate e Marajuia . Tortino al cioccolato.
35€ con acqua e birra locale .
Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

If you are planning one nice dinner in Lagos, this is your stop. Aviod disappointment and be sure to get reservation. Excellent service with personal attention from the owner, Joao. Checking numerous times to ensure our starter of shrimp and meals of salmon and tuna were to our liking. Followed up with port and some creme brulee. Very nice meal, thank you !!!

Não sei bem por onde começar mas este é um dos casos onde o mesmo antes de chegarmos já ficamos impressionados com o serviço. Excelente cuidado na atenção ao cliente logo no momento da reserva. O João, o dono, é um host por natureza e receber bem sai lhe tão naturalmente. Impressionante. Por falar impressionante, tudo o que comemos estava delicioso. Foi espetacular e não é ao calhas que este é o melhor restaurante de Lagos, quiçá do Algarve!!
A regressar, sem dúvida.

Super Ambiente, freundliches Personal und phantastisches vegetarisches Essen. Mein Mann liebt Fleisch......und hat ebenfalls ein tolles Menue bekommen. Der Chef des Hauses ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Haben einen tollen Abend gehabt.

Sehr angenehmes Restaurant, lecker und höflicher Service. Wir hatten eine kleine Vorspeise und Thunfisch bzw. die Ente. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und sehr gut zubereitet.
Der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend, aber mit kleinen Schwächen. Ich bestellte ein Glas Wein nach, was dem Mann an Nachbartisch eingeschenkt wurde.
Man sollte hier auf jeden Fall früh genug reservieren. Dem Restaurant würde eine Wochen- oder Monatskarte mit frischen Zutaten sehr gut bekommen.
Die Rezension ist an die örtlichen Gegebenheiten angepasst.

Super restaurant! Les prix sont un peu plus chers ( ~ 20€ / 1 plat ) mais la qualité est là! Service et accueil irréprochables... excellent vin! Je vous le recommande fortement!!

We were with our family at João! We are not allowed to eat any dairy product, eggs or even gluten. João came from the kitchen and told us how each dishes are prepared, so we could order our meals! thanks a lot! Everything was delicious, highly recommended restaurant to eat! please reserve otherwise you cant be sure you get a table.

I was lucky enough to dine here last night.
The grilled Prawns and garlic were the best I’ve had. So tasty and seasoned to perfection. (Dined in all the best restaurants in London so this is the comparison)
Lovely restaurant, atmosphere and owner. Highly recommended. I really enjoyed my evening here. Definitely worth booking ahead for the perfect evening.

Incredible all around experience at this restaurant. The owner Joao was so personable and made us feel like a long time friend. The food was excellent both our fish and steak were cooked perfectly. Nice quaint environment and no rush to pay the bill and get you out of there, we were relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Nous l'avions choisi par Tripadvisor. Et nous n'avons pas été déçu. Tout était frais et vraiment excellent, la sangria blanche délicieuse, le personnel charmant et prévenant, les plats suffisants et très bien présentés. Nous recommandons particulièrement la sole et pour les végétariens la courgette farcie. Tout le monde y a trouvé son compte. Nous le conseillons vivement. Attention réservation absolument nécessaire !

A very, very, very nice restaurant - elegant and cosy, fascinating pieces of art on the walls and lovely glasses and dishware.

Ordered the cataplana and it was just ok. Felt that it was overpriced for the quality. There wasn’t an depth in taste and there was hardly any variety of seafood. It was a disappointment. Service and house vinho verde was excellent though.

推荐图片里主菜。葡萄牙传统做法， 非常的鲜嫩，非常多大。里面的monkfish非常的有弹性。汤非常的美味，为了配这个汤，我们还额外要了米饭 。去了还想再去的餐厅
味道服务卖相都比里斯本的网红小木屋好太多了……

Zeer vriendelijke man! De tafel was de hele avond voor ons , bij andere restaurants in de streek werden we meermaals afgejaagd om verder te eten. Het is er niet heel goedkoop maar zeker lekker en het eten was van goede kwaliteit ! Als we nog eens op reis gaan naar de Algarve , komen we zeker eens terug.

En somme aucune découverte particulière dans ce restaurant. Cadre accueillant, tables nappées et joliment décorées. Le service est formel, voire exagéré sans être concret. Quant au contenu de l'assiette il est bon, sans plus, même si tout est préparé en cuisine.
Les cuissons mériteraient d'être revues: bleu , saignant, ne veulent pas dire tiède ou froid au coeur du poisson ou de la viande selon le cas.
La carte si ce ne sont la cataplana, le boeuf à la portuguaise et les produits utilisés ne nous ont pas semblés être réellement représentatifs de la cuisine portuguaise.

Nous avons partagé a 4 une table dans ce restaurant. Très bonne ambiance serveur,serveuse et patron très sympathiques.
Le repas a été d excellente qualité. Je recommande ce restaurant petit et tranquille .

The best dinner experience during our trip to Portugal!!! Owners are super friendly, made us feel at home! Food taste is just unforgettable.
Ambiance is nice, onwer stated a conversation between all the tables, and we ended up meeting 2 nice couples
The owner was kind enough to offer a round of free port wine.

Nous ne pouvons que conseiller ce super restaurant ! Patron adorable qui nous a offert le plat enfant non prévu initialement. Des plats succulents régionaux faits maison. Vin délicieux. Personnel très agréable. Prix très abordables. Surprise de dernière minute pour mon anniversaire. Rien à dire à part merci et bravo!

Very friendly staff and excellent service. Shrimps were delicious. Steak lacked seasoning/ageing and the peppercorn sauce wasn't right (just cream with whole peppercorns dropped in). Great location and pleasant ambience.

Le thon très cuit à perfection mais gâché par une couverture de câpres trop salés
le gigot 8 heures tendre avec une sauce abondante
les jours de porc goûteuses
Tout ceci est servi avec un purée qui est regrettablement sèche et dure ! *Le vin de la maison en rouge est d'un excellent rapport qualité prix . le blanc moins bien

Supremo! Platos elaborados con amor y productos del dia. Lugar exclusivo solo para adultos. Pocas mesas disponibles por lo que hay que reservar. No ir con ropa de playa. Se intenta mantener una armonia en el ambiente para disfrutar de la comida y de una buena charla. Glamour total del algarves!

Lagos éttermei közül talán a leginkább házias ízekkel itt találkoztam. Puritán teríték, a díszítés sem az a fine dining típusú de az ételek minősége kifogástalan. Ha eldugott, viszonylag egyszerű helyre vágyunk, akkor érdemes kipróbálni. Főleg a halakat és a helyi borokat. A kiszolgálás nem a leggyorsabb de ez egész Portugáliára igaz. Sebaj, nem is sietni mentünk oda :-)

This Restaurant is an absolute MUST if you are in Lagos. This is our second trip to Lagos, and of all the restaurants, this goes straight to the top of our list. The food is fabulous, the owner & staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Even on a Tuesday, October 31st, the place is full & people are being turned away......make a reservation - you will not be disappointed!

One of the most memorable and tastiest meals I've ever eaten.
We were lucky enough to walk in off the street, normally you should book.
Everything was amazing about this place! If you are after an excellent local experience then you absolutely have to eat here!!

Excellent food and service. Best shrimps we have ever had. Tuna and Portuguese steak were cooked to perfection. Owner and staff were fantastic and we loved the complimentary glass(es) of Tawny Port to finish off. A great, relaxing experience and easily the best restaurant in Lagos.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and were so glad we did, it definately did not disappoint and exceeded our expectations. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service and delicious meals. We would definately recommend a visit if you want an overall outstanding Portuguese dining experience.

We were in Portugal for 2 weeks and this was the best restaurant we visited. Sublime food, perfectly prepared. I had the sole fillet and my wife had the cod and both were fantastic. The owner was very friendly and provided excellent service.

Beautiful intimate setting with fantastic food. Service was exceptional and very friendly. Ate here twice on the holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Advice would be to book as it is very popular ,a real lagos gem.
