Simpatia, qualidade... recomendo o bife á portuguesa ou então o fabuloso bife á pimenta. O caril de de camarão ou de frango são muitissimos bons.

Fabulous family restaurant, good food, great service and free drink of your choice after your meal, highly recommend the chicken kebab, you won't be disappointed.

Restaurante portugués de buenísima calidad. A primera vista parece cutre, pero la calidad y el precio de sus platos es fabuloso. Tuvimos que esperar para coger mesa, pero se agradece, muy buen trato del personal, la sopa de verduras riquísima! La carne muy gustosa. Muy recomendable! La tarta de galleta, riquísima!

Lovely family run restaurant. eaten twice there this week but have been several times in the past and I'd have to say I'd always go for the fish dishes, absolutely delicious but the meats not quite got it

Great wee place and as authentic as you could ask for in a large holiday 'village'. A little bit cramped when it got busy, but it's obviously busy for a reason!

Nice little cosy restaurant with fantastic array of fresh homemade food. The kebabs are huge. Would satisfy 2 people easely

What a lovely restaurant. The owner was a lovely man and the staff very friendly. The meals were excellent and the finishing touches were a complimentary brandy at the end of the meal. I would strongly recommend giving it a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Don't judge a book by its cover - this place is fab!
These guys have been running this little restaurant for years. It's very family friendly, and a home feel to the food! Chips are fantastic, handcut and delicious. The salmon was delicious!

We have just returned from our holiday in Vilamoura and had the opportunity to have our dinner there twice. It is a small family run restaurant and the service was just great, very polite and friendly. The food was just unbelievable... fresh fish, seafood, sardines and vegetables delicious...specially the whole Dourado...but they have kids menu too. I recommend A Carpa to anyone who wishes to try an authentic portuguese restaurant. A special thanks to senhor Antonio and Jose for making us very welcome. The three of us ate like kings but paid only about 65 euros average per night, which included a nice bottle of vinho verde... Muito obrigado....we will definitely return next year...

We have been coming to Villamoura for 4 years and have been to this restaurant every time, during each stay. The staff are very friendly and genuinely interested in you. The marina has loads to offer but our children and my wife and I still love this place. It's homely and never disappoints. A real family favourite. Others seem to be returners also!

Not great ,,,still waiting on my change fron the meal lol,,and that was 5 days ago ,,, food drowned in the sauces ,,obviously to cover up very average food

Friendly relaxed atmosphere. The staff were really welcoming and made us feel at home right from the moment we entered the restaurant. The food was well cooked and served quickly. If you are into meat the mixed kebab is well with a try, but be warned, there is a lot of it. The complimentary drinks at the end of the meal were a nice touch.

This restaurant has it's unique personality given by Mr Carper . His Son and son in law. The food is fantastic and you won't go away hungry. Booking is advisable for early sittings.

We found this place because the Indian near by chef wasn't in but I'm glad he wasn't because the experience here was outstanding the waiter had the exact name of my boy (george) and from start to finish hit it off. The food was amazing.the staff were outstanding and when it was time to go they offered us a free drink on the house we felt like family and it felt like they didn't want us to leave. In conclusion if you are struggling to find somewhere to eat please try this place

Superb family run restaurant. Lovely food, great service and we got complimentary Ports. It's small, but VERY popular and always busy even out of season, so go early to get a table. We went early the first time, but too late the second, and had to experience the poorly run and overpriced restaurant beside it. Only problem (as with most Portuguese restaurants) is that people smoke outside, and they open all the windows, meaning the inside becomes a smoking area. Yuk! Please don't do this!

My husband and I came here for a meal (we were lucky to get a table as most were already reserved)! We both had Portuguese Steak and a lovely bottle of white wine. Very reasonably priced staff very friendly. Will definitely try visit again!
