Promised so much but after waiting over an hour to get a basket of bread, we were almost ready to give up.Starters eventually arrived 1.5 hours after ordering. So many excuses, when the food finally arrived, in a party of 12, one person had finished before the final dish arrived! Some food excellent, some average, feel the kitchen was unable to cope with a large party. Perhaps a liquor on the house may have improved our mood but none was offered.

Wonderful dinner. Service, food, wine, all perfect. Our complements to the chef and staff. Only thing I would suggest changing is the canned US music.

An amazing experience, brilliant food and atmosphere, especially enjoyed the music. The food was easily the best that my family had on holiday and would come again. Staff were very friendly and attentive. An absolute gem!

It was already really late, like 22:30, but it was still a worm welcome. The kitchen was already clean, but they served us awesome food! The best food we had here in Portugese. Thanks so much! OBRIGARDO!

In een plaats vol sportbars is dit restaurant een verademing. We namen plaats op een zondagmiddag plaats op het sfeervolle, overkapte terras. Er bleek een driegangenmenu te zijn voor een zeer redelijke prijs en voor elke gang kon met kiezen uit 3 opties. (elke zondag) Toen ik vroeg om een rode huiswijn, kreeg ik twee glazen om uit te kiezen. Ze waren overigens allebei erg lekker. Ze kwamen niet uit de fles, maar uit een wijnvat. De drie gangen waren alle erg smakelijk en met zorg bereid met goede ingrediënten. Ik denk dat je in dit restaurant niet verkeerd kunt kiezen. Ook de serveerster nam alle tijd voor ons en was heel vriendelijk. Wij komen zeker terug.

Das Essen war superlecker, frisch - die Bedienung sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem hatten wir einen wunderschönen letzten Urlaubsabend und können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen.

Heerlijke voorgerechten scampi’s en polenta met kaas
We kregen een heerlijk tussengerecht van de chef, verse vis gegaard in tijgermelk
Hoofdgerecht linguini met scampi’s en coquille !!!! Heerlijk!!
Ik had lamsvlees met pistache!!! Ongelooflijk goede smaken!!! Top!!
Nagerecht Romeo en Julia een verrassend huwelijk tussen Guave sorbet en kaasschuim
Kortom een culinaire ervaring !!!

New chef and owner Raquel is doing an amazing job. The food is tasty and well presented and the staff is really friendly. With a few tweaks to the ambience I would give it 5 stars. Definitely worth a visit.

We had a starter of scallops. Then chicken Piri-Piri and Tuna. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly, the wine really good. Good atmosphere in a nice villa- restaurant, go if you are in Carvoeiro, you will not regret it.

Schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen, aufmerksamer Service. Wir waren in unserem Urlaub 2 mal dort essen und beide Male sehr zufrieden. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Excellent restaurant. Les plats sont goûteux, la présentation est originale et recherchée. Je recommande le ceviche et les linguinis aux Saint-Jacques. Le service est parfait et très sympathique. Bravo au chef Raquel pour tout cela et son savoir-faire culinaire. Je mets 10/10

Wonderful and authentic restaurant. The staff is lovely and very friendly. the place looks inconspicuous but it is amazing and an inside tip. Food was absolutely delicious we had garlic prawns in tomato sauce as a starter and then salmon with grilled vegetables and potatoes as main menu. We loved everything about the place and will definitely come back. Highly recommended and thanks so much for the great night.

Increible, el mejor restaurante calidad/precio en el as que he estado. Estoy acostumbrado a pagar por mi pareja y por mi, unos 150€ de media, en restaurantes de esta calidad. En este caso el total ha sido de 90€. La presentación y, sobretodo, el servicio, excelentes.

Das war eine Zufallsentdeckung. Und was für eine!
Eine ausgesprochen nette Bedienung, sehr gemütliches Ambiente, eine sehr originelle Kinderkarte und ein hervorragendes Essen. Und das Ganze zu wirklich moderaten Preisen.
Dieser Ort ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen.

We ate here tonight. These are new owners and whilst we were disappointed last visit this was a special experience. The food and the service was quite exceptional. The chef/owner provided a special meal with the freshest of local ingredients - wonderful oysters, a stunning cerviche, succulent suckling pig, matching wines from the somalier. This was a special premium meal at a very fair price and certainly the best we have eaten in Carvoeiro.
We eat out a lot but this was really special so I just have to upload a review (which we never normally bother to do!) Do support this new team they deserve it and they are certainly a cut above the rest in this small town.

Inicialmente com algum receio pois o Algarve não o associava a experiências gourmet , fiquei incrivelmente surpreendida , e não sendo de meu habito tive que deixar o meu review. Ao ler o menu apercebemos-nos de imediato a criatividade da chef, pedimos um sequência de degustação que foi uma viagem de sabores , sofisticação , serviço incrível e simpatia ímpar. A barriga de leitão com purê de batata doce, as Vieiras em risotto de chilli e no final o Romeo e Julieta são um must !!! Recomendado , sem duvidas.

Recién llegada a Portugal pero ya con muchos restaurantes y sabores , me pareció increíble la aproximación distinta con ingredientes típicos Portugueses. No solo la secuencia de los platos se va elevando en sabores como la coctelería es increíble ! Recomiendo la piña colada , mismo para los que piensan que es una bebida del Caribe ! La aproximación al ceviche , súper original , el bacalao , las vieras y los risotos ... definitivamente recomendado!

Our first visit to Rafaiol was an amazing experience of flavors, textures and all in all excellent food. The ceviche and codfish were spectacular.

Carvoeiro ist mein zweites Zuhause und jedes mal wenn ich am Restaurant vorbei kommen bin hab ich gesagt lass uns doch mal hier Essen gehen,habe es bis heute Abend nie gemacht und das war ein großer Fehler!!!! Einfach nur lecker ,Aber nehmen sie sich Zeit für das Essen also ca 3 Gänge um 2 Stunden benötigt Sie das ist es auch Wert.und der Preis ist absolut in Ordnung.

Sehr gutes Restaurant am Ortsausgang.Der kleine Fussweg lohnt sich wirklich. Qualitativ sehr gute portugiesische Küche ohne viel Schnickschnack. Besonders empfehlen kann ich den Fischeintopf (Cataplana). Sonntags gibt es Lamm aus dem Ofen. Das sollte man vorbestellen.

We were hooked by the outside sign of the fresh Sunday lamb roast. It was 16€ per portion and absolutely delicious. There could have been a bit more sides but the roast and its sauce couldn't have been better. Disappointing: the fish soup. Watery, not much fish, yet it tasted alright: but with 7€ very expensive. Overall this place is a bit more expensive, some tables and seats feel a bit cramped in (inside) but the people were friendly and the lamb roast was, ah you know :).
