Uma estrela porque não posso dar menos. Uma vergonha. Tratamento típico provinciano algarvio, de quem não respeita o público português, pois a ganância supera a boa educação, enquanto a afluência estrangeira perdurar. Não perde pela demora. A não ir.

Hidden away built into the rock formation is Canico. Restaurant the top floor and bar area on the first floor. Super friendly staff always with smiles on their faces. The food was superb and the view from the restaurant was amazing. Highly recommended.

Para chegar aqui, você pode ter dificuldades! O GPS pode te conduzir por um caminho que não chega ao local! Recomendo observar a propaganda do restaurante que fica na avenida principal! Entrar num condomínio, parar até onde der e caminhar até ao restaurante! Bom, depois torcer que tenha um lugar para você! O atendimento foi bom! Frutos do mar e peixes a seu gosto! O local é pequeno!

Gostei principalmente porque fiquei nas mesas encostadas ao varandim que tem uma vista para o mar. O peixe assado estava muito bom. Serviço excelente. Muito atenciosos e preocupados com o bem estar dos seus clientes.

Very good and inspiring restaurant. Good quality, nice waiters, not so much tables so you will have to make a reservation. On the beach, nice spot. Michelin recommended. Not cheap.

Wow. Kan Scheveningen nog een puntje aan zuigen... Terras met restaurant hoog tussen de heuvels gebouwd. Trapje naar een geweldig zandstrand met rotspartijen. Prive stand van het park aldaar. Normale prijzen. Met lift naar t strand of t restaurant.

This place is what a twisted child between capitalism and the Instagram culture. Stay away. Seriously.
It has a quite nice view, but that is where the nice comments stop.
- 1.5 hour from arriving to first food - at lunch
- Food was so average - and 3x price for normal
- Extremely crammed together - could not move
- So crazy noisy
I really want to encourage people to stay away. You might find it on many “most do” lists. Don’t listen. This is a horrible experience

Qui c'è veramente un ristorante vista mare, se beccate la mareea fate bingo. Abbiamo preso solo un bicchiere di vino, dato che avevamo prenotato da un altra parte, camerieri carini, disponibili dalle tavole vicine arrivava un bel profumino e ho visto dei bei piatti.

We come here multiple times a year. Location is amazing and the food is great. Prices are a bit high for average Algarve standards but on the other hand, this is not an average place so it's acceptable. My experience in the last two years is that there is a big difference in service during lunch and dinner though.
During lunch (sitting at the below deck) the staff doesn't come across very friendly nor hospitable (read: you can sometimes feel ignored, looking grumpy/agitated or keep talking on the phone while you're paying the bill). While in the restaurant upstairs dinner service is much better.

View is fantastic, food is ok (we went for lunch). But the service in the bar is not quite friendly. We went there several times in the last few years and this hasn't improved. The service in the restaurant upstaires is much better though.

Romántico restaurante enclavado en una calita y construido en madera sobre la roca, vistas espectaculares. Cocina abierta y brasas para el pescado. Calidad en sus productos. Buenos vinos de la tierra. Postres estupendos. Recomendable reservar. Los precios han sufrido una subida considerable con el paso de los años. Merece mucho la pena pasar por este lugar y probarlo. Felicidades Canico!!

Great place, great food unique surroundings with the caves as decor. As some others found out they are not very good at being prepared for taken reservations, but the wait was worth it. If you go by car don't follow GPS when it tells you to turn into a dirt road, I instead continue straight turnaround at the roundabout and at the second turnaround after that come back and it is on your right.

Very poor service. Plates not cleared for a long long time after starters and main course. Had previously had an excellent experience so brought a group back. Was disappointing. Waiter rude and inattentive. Bad experience.

All of the fish of the day is brought to your table to view. Pick what you like, they charge by the weight of the fish.
As everyone says, the view is 5 stars. It's such a unique place.
If you don't have the time for dinner, come for a drink and enjoy the vibe.
Highly recommend but, reservations are a must.
Fyi... the coordinates are inaccurate via their website. Turn into the village/club and pass through the secure gate. Then note the signs to Canico....

Lugar muy bonito a pie de una playa recóndita. Mal indicado el acceso en Google Maps. Es más fácil llegar preguntando y siguiendo las indicaciones turísticas de la carretera. Acceso peatonal un poco incómodo, aunque bien indicado. Servicio agradable y simpático. Excelente. Comida de muy buena calidad y a un precio razonable para la belleza del lugar y la atención recibida. Conviene reservar. Muy recomendable

Highly recommend! We stumbled upon this place for cocktails, only to find their restaurant was 5 star quality. Nestled into a cliff, the view was absolutely stunning. Americans, prepare to patiently await service as they move at a slower pace.. but they are friendly and it's well worth it! Our meal from start to finish was one of the best we've had abroad. Try the Verde vino sangria and the fresh catch of the day.

Excelente vista mas o serviço deixa um pouco a desejar pela simpatia de plástico. Parecem mais interessados em impingir do que servir. O peixe estava ótimo sem ser o melhor peixe que como na zona. A experiência foi positiva mas não tenciono repetir. Preço alto. Valeu pela vista e localização.

No respect for the bookings. We booked for 2130 and we got the table at 2230, end of the meal at 100am. The staff, namely the guy in charge of the bookings, has no control over the restaurant, seems to be overwhelmed by the ammount of orders and customers.

The staff was very poor, I booked places for 9 people and when we arrived the places were busy and we had to wait an hour to be seated. In the end we went without eating and stayed hungry. Bad place and bad staff

La dirección en Google está errónea por lo que cuesta un poco llegar.
Siempre está lleno y toca esperar, mejor ir armado de paciencia. Aunque hagas una reserva no la respetan, así que mejor ir sin reserva y así ahorras enfados.

Choix exceptionnel de fruits de mer et poissons. Un bémol : l'attente importante entre les plats! Il ne faut être pressé et se laisser bercer par le bruit des vagues. ☺

Muy mal organizado. Reservamos a las 21h30, y a las 22h45 nos tuvimos que ir viendo que teníamos que esperar una hora más a que nos atendieran. Vimos que en el libro de reservas todo el mundo que estaba esperando (como 20 personas) había reservado a las 21h30 - tenían overbooking.
Camareros corriendo para arriba y para abajo, sin dar explicación alguna.

Made a reservation 4 days in advance for 21h30 and confirmed a table on the edge for a special occasion. Arrived on time with no table available. Manager had a blasé attitude about the problem and insisted we simply had to wait. We were seated 30min later in the wrong seats. Our edge table was giving to another group who I assume was mates with the manager. I raised my concern at which the manager called me a liar to my face. I have never been treated like that at any restaurant in any place in the world. Needless to say, we left shortly after sitting down. Shocking customer service!

Un lugar mágico con vistas al mar y música en directo. Comida de Calidad (como su insignia de Estrella Michelín indica) y muy bien ambientado. El servicio muy atento y, como casi en todos los restaurantes del Algarve, hablan varias lenguas (Inglés, francés, español,...). INCREÍBLE!!!

Un lugar especial para comer y cenar, comida de muy buena calidad. Un poco caro si...pero merece la pena! Un trato de los camareros muy amable. La cocina tardan un poco pero en Portugal por nuestra experiencia es así en todos lados... además te sacan todos los platos a la vez. Si volviese al Algarve sería a Alvor y a este restaurante sin duda.

La única pega es que es de difícil acceso y no esta correctamente ubicado en Google Maps.

La ubicación que esta puesta en google y en la web no es la real, por lo que no llegas a tiempo a la reserva y tienes que esperar( en mi caso 10 minutos tan solo).
Para aceder a el restaurante tampoco esta fácil, el coche tienes que dejarlo encima de las aceras y tienes que cruzar campo a través andando.
Precio del pescado excesivo( a 6 y 7 euros 100g de pescado como lubina, dorada, sargo....)solo tienes que mirar alrededor tuya y ver la cara cuando la gente paga.
La calidad muy buena y el sitio espectacular de noche.

Um espaço deslumbrante e único com imenso potencial, mas que no final se revelou ser uma grande desilusão... Quando liguei para fazer a reserva fui muito bem atendido pelo João que prontamente arranjou mesa. No entanto a comida que devia ser o ponto alto de toda a experiência deixa muito a desejar, em primeiro lugar trouxeram umas saladas frias que normais e que nem tinham grande aspecto e que nem quiz provar, os shots de gaspacho com presunto faltavam tempero. A travessa para mostrar os peixes do dia tinha alguns com falta de frescura. Escolhemos a cataplana de mariscos que estava boa mas pouco apurada e trazia apenas meio lavagante, que para um prato para 2 pessoas nem dava para partilhar. No final trouxeram uma travessa com as sobremesas para que pudéssemos escolher algumas da que lá estavam não estavam disponíveis, agora perguntou-me se não tinham essas sobremesas porque não as retiraram de lá...
Enfim as sobremesas que escolhemos ainda foi o que salvou a refeição eu comi uma pana cotta com doce de fogo e queijo que estava deliciosa e a minha namorada escolheu um bolo de alfarroba com gelado ambos estavam muito bons. Em resumo cobram muito caro para o serviço e para a comida que oferecem.

One word...WOW! Such an amazing restaurant and unique location. You enter through a small tunnel dug out from cliff then take a lift down walk through a longer tunnel then arrive at the bar and terrace overlooking an amazing secluded beach, like something from a bond movie. As we didn't book we had to wait some time but it was well worth it. The food, wine, service all 5+ stars and a very special thanks to the owner Joao, thank you for an amazing night and all your efforts to accommodate us and I will be back soon!

Wirklich sehr speziell! Wir waren zu viert da ohne Reservierung. Pedro hat sich total bemüht uns einen unvergesslichen Abend zu arrangieren.
Wein und Essen top. Fangfrische Fische und Desserts wurden präsentiert. Mit dieser Kulisse und dem freundlichen Service auch die etwas mehr Euro wert. Einmaliges Erlebnis!

Zeer mooie plaats om te eten! locatie was perfect.Bediening waren wij heel tevreden van. Prijs van het eten is te duur voor wat je krijgt. Het eten was wel heel lekker maar bv 43e betalen voor 2 gamba's (achteraf op het bonnetje gezien) voelt echt niet oke dit vonden we wel jammer.

Zugang von "ewiger" Baustelle umgeben. Caffeebereich nur vorn gemütlich. Restaurant eine Treppe höher. Muss man aber wissen oder anhand Menükarte an Treppe erahnen. Vom Pflicht-Aufzug als einzigen Zugang von oben erwartet, dass es ein Aussenaufzug mit Ausblick ist. Fehlanzeige. Küche oben leider ungetestet geblieben. Nach unten Zugang zu kleinem aber schönem Sandstrand mit gleichzeitig Sonne und Schatten.

Dieses Restaurant besticht durch seine Lage, direkt an einer kleinen Bucht gelegen, hat man hier zu jeder Zeit einen phantastischen Blick auf das Meer. Dazu kann man sich die landestypischen Fleisch und Fischgerichte schmecken lassen. Der fünfte Stern fehlt, da aus meiner Sicht zu viele Tische auf zu wenig Raum aufgestellt sind.

Algarve lugar de praias lindas agua quente, férias. num cenário único e exclusivo. O Caniço é um achado esplêndido no algarve. O cenário único para ser vivido a dois. achei o lugar um verdadeiro paraíso. Os pratos degustados foram fantásticos consegui encontrar uma carta de vinhos esplêndida onde consegui harmonizar os peixes na perfeição. Não fosse Portugal um ótimo produtor de vinhos. Não sou fã do algarve de verão, mas este lugar dignifica o algarve no seu melhor. Recomendo!

Restaurante de praia ou de época balnear agradável e muito bom. Está situado no Aldeamento da Prainha, Alvor. Não é barato para o cidadão comum mas tem bastante qualidade e requinte. Para almoçar ou jantar é melhor reservar mesa. Costuma organizar festas e casamentos por marcação. Para além do bar e restaurante, na praia existem mesas e cadeiras onde o cliente também poderá ser servido. Simpatia dos funcionários. Excelente vista para a praia. Restaurante com 30 anos de existência, explorado sempre pela mesma pessoa.

A truly Great beach Retaurant, fabulous views nice staff, good food. The couvert is the best. The awesome seafood pancakes make the best starter! The clams are great, their chips / pomme frits go well with it. The bar underneath the restaurant is a great place to relax afterwards.

The view and location of restaurant is great. The food quality was ok (we had the fish of the day). The vegetables were a bit undercooked and the desert was mediocre. Unfortunately the timing of dishes, price quality (e.g. €5 for a glass of housewine, €2.50 for 1/2 coffee cup of tea) and most importantly neglect of allergies wishes shows that this restaurant is not on par of other choices in the Algarve.

Excellent food and service, add to this the location and you have a wonderful experience to be enjoyed or moaned about depending on you propensity towards whinging.
The staff were helpful, knowledgeable and helpful.
The food, as mentioned above was excellent.
The location can be a challenge if approached or exited from the beach depending on the tide times, light levels and personal mobility level but of course you can approach and leave via the road instead.
Would we go again, we already returned and plan to do so again.

I dont understand why this place has only 4.2. We've been here a few times and the food and the service was always beyond our expectations. We were offered better seats whenever they became available, André, our waiter was very knowledgeable about seafood and gave us excellent recommendations without pushing anything on us. Food was fresh and tasty - amazing!

Wonderful little place on the beach built into a cave. The food is good and fresh, though not mind blowing, but it is tasty. If you’re looking for exceptional/unique food don’t go there, but if you want some very good food in a great location with a good ambience and very friendly service, come here! Good for groups! And they have a few vegan dishes too, yay.

Un moment superbe entre copines avec vue sur l’océan! Déjeuner mi septembre avec un temps magnifique. Le poisson est pêché du matin, cuisson parfaite et les plats cuisinés en sauce sont à tester absolument!! Le service est de qualité, assez rapide et l’accueil est bon ! Réservation conseillée pour être sûr d’avoir une table de choix et sûr.
Bref, ne passer pas à côté de cette super adresse!

Espetacular. Primeiro a vista de tirar o folego. A seguir o restaurante com servico e simpatia impecaveis. Claro, não é barato mas vale a pena. Entrada tartar de atum ou camarões do chefe. Depois siga em peixes ou mude radicalmente pra costeletas de borrego, por exemplo. As sobremesas são muito variadas, se vc for um fã de doces. Vinhos otimos com preços de moderados a caros. Mas tudo vale a pena.

Fuimos a comer 2 adultos y 2 niños de 8 y 11 años el sitio es espectacular, la comida buena pero la carta para mi gusto incompleta para ir con niños, el trato de los camareros un poco soso teniendo en cuenta que estas pagando por comer allí una pasta, 7 euros por cada 100 gramos de pargo.... volvería a ir con mi pareja pero no con mis hijos así que no volveré a ir, el sitio puede ser caro por la ubicación pero el servicio debe ser óptimo y en este caso no lo es.

Qualitativ gutes Essen, aber sehr lange Wartezeit fürs Essen. Waren über 2 Stunden dort für Vorspeise und Hauptgang.
Zudem sehr eng zum Sitzen. Es werden zu viele Gäste hineingepresst.
Da die meisten Tische unter einem Dach sind, wird es sehr schnell stickig, obwohl man fast im Freien sitzt.
Fazit: zu teuer für was geboten wird.

Restaurante com uma localização magnífica! No entanto a arrogância e pouco profissionalismo de colaboradores estragam tudo. A comida não é má mas nada que deslumbre e o preco é exagerado face ao que se recebe. Nao recomendo, mesmo com reserva, a probabilidade de nao a cumprirem existe e depois discutem com os clientes. Enfim se quiserem esperar bastante, pagar muito e provavelmente discutir com os colaboradores... escolheram o restaurante certo!

Praia tipicamente algarvia. Pequena e portanto quando a maré sobe fica um pouco confuso, a regra é encontrar um espaço mais próximo da falésia (nunca por baixo ). Com a maré baixa é possível passar pelas grutas à praia seguinte... e tirar milhões de fotos !!!

Einmalige Location mit wunderschönem Ausblick auf die kleine Bucht. Im oberen Teil gibt es ein Restaurant mit sehr großer Auswahl an frischem Fisch und Meeresfrüchten. Auch die Dessertauswahl ist riesig und wird auf einem großen Tablett präsentiert. Natürlich zahlt man hier etwas mehr, aber uns war es das wert.

De nuevo una oportunidad después de una cena desastrosa hace 2 años y otra vez los mismos fallos. Personal desagradable exceptuando el camarero que te ofrece los pescados y mariscos, tardanza a la hora de servir, la calidad no se corresponde con el precio y la idea del nebulizador cada 2 minutos no se entiende. Eso si, esta vez no tuvimos que esperar 30 minutos a sentarnos, aún habiendo reservado. Lo mejor la situación. No creo que volvamos.

WORST service EVER. I never experienced such a thing in my life; we had a reservation at 15h30, we received our table at 16h10 and our order at 17h30!!! We havent been offered any appetizers to wait, and some of our order were missing... we asked several times what was going on in the kitchen, and have been treated very badly.
Even to pay the (quite “salty”) check, we had to wait: they were taking out the trashes between the guests... and the best of all, 2 friends met the waiters (with the trashes) in the exit, and those had the audacity to ask if we were gone without paying!!!!!
I put one star for the location, but seriously, do not bother to go there.

Beautiful setting, but the waitress is so rude and unfriendly I'd rather starve or walk 10 minutes up the beach to a far friendlier place where my custom is wanted. The food and bar is far over priced, we only came here as we thought we are on holiday and would treat ourselves. Waited over an hour for the food. The chips came first, cold, we sent them back, their replacement came not properly cooked. Extremely disappointing lunch. Shame really as this place has the prime location. It feels more like a concentration camp than a treat.

Tras solicitar reserva el dia anterior y contestarnos 15 horas después para confirmar los datos, les envíamos la información a los 10 minutos (4 horas antes de la reserva) y al llegar alli nos dicen que la reserva no la han apuntado y que están completos. La ubicación del sitio es inmejorable, pero el trato hacia el cliente y la gestión de las reservas, peor imposible. Poco personal y mesas demasiado juntas.

Lugar muy bonito comida de muy buena calidad. Los dos camareros estupendos hacían lo que podían. Pero aora viene el caos que tiene montado la chica rubia que parece la que mueve el cotarro por decir algo. Con reserva esperar a 35 grados al sol no es plato de buen gusto. Y luego mucha espera de plato en plato. Tardaron hasta para cobrar.. Si mejoran eso.. Es un sitio de la leche.

En primer lugar fuimos a la zona restaurante, nos dijeron que sin reserva no podíamos comer allí y que fuéramos a la parte de bar (sandwichs y hamburguesas) para acto seguido sentar a una pareja que tampoco tenía reserva en nuestra cara. Fuimos al bar porque algo había que comer: las bebidas carísimas (una coca-cola pequeña (200ml) 3€ y grande (400ml) 6€, mismo precio para la cerveza; el servicio muy lento, y el sandwich bastante seco (aún estoy esperando la mayonesa).
En definitiva, mejor un bocadillo de casa que ser engañado por este restaurante.

Lamentable atencion.
Caos de organización a la hora de atender la entrada y sentar a la gente aún teniendo reserva.
Ya en la mesa , los tiempos entre plato y plato son largos. Nos quedamos sin poder pedir postre porque nunca llegó a nostros la carta o el camarero con la bandeja donde te los nuestra pese a haberle dicho que queríamos postre... En total he estado más tiempo esperando que cenando ...
Así que si lo que quieres es esperar y esperar es tu sitio, no lo dudes !!!!

Poor experience. Time between starter and main course was 1 hour. Wrong drinks brought and long time to wait.
Staff nice but extremely pressured.
Returned here as lovely experience last year but it seems profit making has become priority by squeezing too many seats and too many sittings.
To top it all I got food poisoning.

Amazing setting for a restaurant but have to admit the good experience ended there. Understaffed, non friendly, had to ask for things more than once, food very average. I had lamb which I ordered medium and came out burnt to a crisp. Very disappointing.

Booked in advance requesting a table with a nice view and glad we did as wow what a view. Neither me or my husband eat any fish or seafood so initially worried we was coming to the wrong place when the waiter came to display the catch of the day but we enjoyed a mixed starter, steaks and amazing almond pie for dessert plus lovely wine. Walked back into town across the beach which was nice !

Arrived for our 7pm reservation and most of the tables were still empty. I made a reservation about 4 months ago via email. The hostess looked frazzled and once she took us to our table I asked if we could jade a different table and she said no that was reserved for someone else. At the time I made the reservation I was not given the option as to where I would like to sit so it was quite annoying that being one of the first people there I wasn’t afforded the luxury other reservation were given with table selection.
Once we were seated it took them 45 minutes to give us our menu. It took me constantly flagging them down to finally get them to come to out table to ask for appetizers and drink orders. At that time we told the person who took our drink menus that we were ready to order our food, he told us he doesn’t take food orders. We waited another 20 minutes for our ‘real server’ to come take our food orders.
Our table for the appetizers and some oysters after about an hour of the empty plates sitting there someone finally coming to brag the plates that person spilt the ice/water from the oysters all over one of us. He apologized and said his dessert would be complimentary.
Our food came 2.5 hours after we first sat down, it was delicious but the overall experience had already been ruined with the horrible service.
After we finished our dinners a server came around with a huge platter of deserts to choose from. Most of us got a dessert and once my father selected our I told the server, in Portuguese, that he is allergic to 90% of fruits to make sure that his egg whites dessert was not plated with any. Once he got the dessert there was raspberry sauce all over the plate. I tried some to make sure it was that and called him over to tell him he could die if he ate that and that I had specifically told him he was allergic. He apologized and took the dessert and said he was going to get him a new one. He then proceeded to take that dessert that was on our table, which I used my finger to take some of the sauce from the plate to try to another table of guests. Horrible!
We finally got the bill close to 11:30pm and the dessert was not comp’d like he said it would be for spilling oyster juice and the overall experience was not worth the amount we paid. I believe they have a great location and menu but need to invest in better service.

Nos atendieron muy mal, simplemente porque a las 7 de la tarde decidimos tomarnos 2 mojitos y quisiéramos cenar. Aún por encima pedimos los mojitos que ponen en la carta de 8€ cada uno, y a la hora de pagar nos cobraron 10€ cada uno diciendo que nos había puesto otro de mejor calidad que no aparece en la carta. Lo que creo es que el jetas del camarero se ha querido ganar una propina extra ( mucho ojo) , por no cabrearse se los paguè, pero nunca mas. Creo que es un restaurante a la caza del guiri de turno que paga sin saber lo que està pagando.

Teniendo reserva nos hacen esperar media hora,íbamos con 4 niños.
Tardaban en servir, ponían el segundo plato sin recoger lo vacío del primero, faltaban cubiertos...
Muy caro para la calidad del producto y del servicio. Mucha dejadez.
El sitio es bonito, pero como cualquier playa de la zona de portimao.
No lo recomendaría a nadie.

Uniquely located, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We are fish and sea food enthusiasts and this place has it all, starting from razor clams, seafood rice to oven baked octopus. The hidden beach complements this place. You should certainly plan to spend your entire day here, which cannot be completed without a scoop of two of gelato. We had a great time here! Nous avons eu du mal à trouver un restaurant mêlant beau cadre et bonne nourriture / bon vin, car dans la région il y a pas mal d’ « attrape touristes ». Le cadre de ce restaurant est incroyable, il est encastré dans les rochers au bord de la mer sur une plage. Un grand choix de poissons frais, des alternatives végétariennes (utiles pour moi), et une grande sélection de vins du Portugal, celui que nous avons bu nous a été conseillé par un membre du personnel en fonction de ce que nous mangions tous les deux car nous ne connaissons absolument pas les vins portugais, et il était excellent (et nous sommes des amateurs de vin !). Le personnel est très attentionné et très sympathique, et si il y a une petite attente pour avoir une bonne table on vous sert des choses locales à grignoter en buvant votre cocktail tout en admirant le soleil se coucher sur la vue magnifique du bar-terrasse au 1er étage ! Tout était parfait, et c’est de loin le meilleur restaurant dans lequel nous avons mangé dans l’Algarve ! Une très belle expérience. Pensez à réserver pour être assurés d’avoir une belle table.

Didn't live up to expectations. Didn't get greeted by the staff, were pointed in the direction of our table. Seafood was good, if a little over cooked. Vegetables were microwaved (it's an open kitchen... ). Staff didn't seem happy and weren't attentive despite there being 6 of them. Has the potential to be a little gem with the location and views, such a shame that the staff let them down.

Der bestellte Sangria blanca für 15 EUR stellte sich als Fanta im Krug mit ein paar Früchten drin heraus. Kein Hauch von Wein oder Sekt, die Zimtstange war zwar drin aber nicht durchgezogen. Wenn ich hätte Fanta trinken wollen, hätte ich eine Flasche bestellt und nicht Sangria !! Platz sehr eng, dafür tolle Aussicht.

Einzigartige Location, das Essen ist sehr gut, die Weine und die Sangria Verde excellent. Wir sind als Gruppe von sechs Personen dort gewesen und haben zwei Tage vorher telefonisch reserviert. Allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt, sowohl die Vegetarischen, Veganen als auch die Fleisch und Fischgerichte sind gut angekommen. Die Nachspeise war ein absoluter Traum.

I love this restaurant.. we had a stunning experience food service view everything.. but on our second night .. food still great but the service was very bad.. staff seemed to be all over the place.. best advice be prepared for slow service.. then u wouldnt be disappointed.. well worth the experience but the staff need a shake up they drove us and table beside us mad with the slow service..

We discovered this amazing restaurant while exploring the beaches and caves. We went for dinner and lunch. It’s stunning view makes it very romantic. The food fresh, with a nice regional wine selection and the atmosphere is casual. It was very reasonably priced. The only thing I would recommend to the restaurant management is to not allow smoking on the upper dining room level. We had a couple at the far end of our row of tables that were chain smoking like there was no tomorrow. It was slightly unpleasant for us and the lovely Dutch couple sitting next to us.

Did not enjoy our experience at this restaurant. While the location is lovely and food was nice, the service and overall experience was poor. The tables were crowded together and waiters were rushed - they were bumping our chairs as they went past. The staff were calling to each other across the restaurant and from the kitchen. It was very noisy and the atmosphere was hectic - not at all relaxing. The service was very slow. We were there for over an hour before we received our food and after our meal, it took two requests and 15 mins to get the bill. When we complained that the service was slow, we were dismissed. The food was good but equal to many good fish restaurants in Alvor. I would not recommend it.

Overrated restaurant. Yes, the view is nice if you get a place on the 4 tables at the edge of the terrace. The place is so small and so crowded. Service is bad. We waited 20-30 min for each order. I don't recommend it.

Muy buen sitio para comer un lugar bastante original aunque con poco espacio pero es de entender.
La comida excelente, comimos pescado y estaba delicioso aunque nosotros no somos de pescado lo recomiendo 100% aunque eso sí no e para todos los bolsillos.

Perfect place, can be romantic for a couple or cozy for a group... Be advised that bread and other couverts offered when you sit are not free or offered!
Avoid the crepe as starter (under salted and not the best starter) go for the clams... It's divine!
We had the spaghetti and a whole scorpion fish... Both were tasty! The vegetables and salad served with the fish are a little bit too simple but the freshness of fish made it all!
I'll be back one day!

Superbe vue. Restaurant très sympa, 1er étage où vous pouvez boire un verre et 2nd étage pour dîner ou déjeuner...
Personnel très attentionné sauf la femme au cheveux brun qui vous amène l'addition, très antipathique.
Le repas fut délicieux mais avec les prix excessif de l'Algarve (je vous rassure ça reste raisonnable)

Bel ristorante incastonato nella roccia con vista sulla spiaggia. Il cibo è buono, e con porzioni giuste. I cocktail buoni e anche ricercati ma scarsi nelle porzioni.
La vera pecca il prezzo. Costo eccessivo, tanto da far "meritare" solo 3 stelle.

This is what I call a place deserving the 5 starts..
The food, the staff, the service, the place, the facilities... everything.
Even when the place was full we didn't feel the typical rushing or being rushed as in other places. We had to wait for a table a little longer than usual, but the manager was in all attentive and treated us well. I worth the waiting.
The food? From heaven!
The music? Hypnotic!
The drinks? Aphrodisiacs from Devil's bar.
The place? To never forget!

Es una lástima que en un sitio tan bonito el servicio sea tan mediocre. El restaurante es una belleza, la terraza con vista a la playa es divina pero esperamos más de media hora por las bebidas, otra media hora para que trajeran 2 sopas y al final tuvimos que levantarnos para pedir la cuenta y esperar un buen rato por el cambio. Una decepción absoluta.

Lamentable la gestión del maitre, teníamos reserva a las 22, llegamos antes, en torno a menos 20 y cómo está hasta la bandera esperamos tomando una cerveza, en ese tiempo llegó más gente con reserva a las 22, cuando son las 22,15 y ha sentado a todos los que han llegado después que nosotros, me dirijo a él recordándole la hora y, haciéndole saber mi malestar por haber sentado a todos antes, a lo que me explica que es porque está esperando para darme una mejor mesa, sigo esperando y llega una pareja con reserva a las 22, pero son las 22:20. Les dice que esperen y a nosotros por fin nos sube a la planta de arriba y nos da una "supermesa" junto a la parrilla, habiendo 2 libres al borde de la terraza pero esas no pueden ser porque son para gente que estaban antes??? A los 2 minutos sube la pareja que acababa de llegar y les pone en la mesa de la terraza. Cómo no me gusta que me toreen educadamente nos levantamos y le decimos que nos vamos. Tampoco pareció importarle mucho. Pues eso que no cenamos, el sitio está chulo pero el trato muy mejorable. El restaurante está más que sobreexplotado, con un montón de mesas sin espacio para pasar y muy juntas, pero es lo que hay. Suerte al que se anime

Hallo zusammen, wir waren sehr enttäuscht, aber jeder muss seine eigene Erfahrungen sammeln.
Hier also meine/unsere:
Das Restaurant wurde uns von der Reiseleitung empfohlenen als eines der besten in der Region. Da uns nahe gelegt wurde man solle besser einen Tisch reservieren, haben wir das per Mail getan. Ich hatte extra gefragt nach einem guten Ausblick.
Es sollte der krönende Abschluss eines wirklich tollen Urlaubs in Portugal werden.
Leider kam alles anders:
Als wir ankamen, sagte man uns, der Tisch ist noch nicht fertig, weil noch Gäste da sind. Kein Problem, dachten wir uns, der Kellner sagte wir sollen an einem anderen Tisch Platz nehmen. Dort angekommen, sagte ein anderer Kellner, dass wir hier nicht sitzen können, wei der Fußboden gereinigt wird.
Kein Problem, dachten wir uns, dann halt wo anders.
Mittlerweile sammelten sich die Gäste, die zur selben Zeit reserviert hatten...ca 20 Personen.
Dann auf einmal: Die Belegschaft, ca. 8-10 Personen, setze sich gemütlich neben die wartenden Gäste und hat erstmal was gegessen.
“starkes Stück“ dachte ich mir aber kein Problem, wir wollen ja keinen Stress machen.
Nach ca. 20 Minuten war unser Tisch fertig (ich musste einen der essenden Kellner fragen, ob wir in der Zwischenzeit was zu trinken haben “dürfen“)
Wir gingen rauf ins Obergeschoss und man führte uns direkt neben den qualmenden Ofen. Platz war zirka so viel wie im Flugzeug zum Essen.
Ich sagte, das muss ein Missverständnis sein, weil ich extra nach guter Aussicht gefragt habe. Der Kellner sagte (recht frech): “naja, da müsst ihr schon 1-2Wochen vorher reservieren“. Aha, dachte ich mir, also nix für Touristen.
Naja, kein Stress, also wieder zum Tisch.
Plötzlich, und das war dann zu viel des guten, hat der Koch mit Insekten Spray über die Fische gesprüht, um die Fliegen zu vertreiben.
Sie wurden zwar ein wenig beiseite gestellt, aber durch meinen Ehrenplatz beim Grill hab ich alles genau beobachten können.
Bis dahin dachte ich “naja, südländische Gemütlichkeit, keinen Stress“ aber hier drehte sich mir der Magen um.
Als uns der Chef die Karte bringen wollte, sagte ich, dass ich die Getränke zahlen möchte. Er schaute uns mit großen Augen an und ich habe ihm erklärt, was uns stört:
Freches Personal, schlechter Sitzplatz, mangelnde Hygiene, alles zu eng zusammen gepfercht.
Immerhin hat er uns auf die Drinks eingeladen, ein netter Zug.
Also haben wir uns ein Taxi genommen, sind zum Hafen von Alvor gefahren und haben in einem kleinen Restaurant köstliche Cataplana gegessen, guten Wein getrunken und hatten (wahrscheinlich um's halbe Geld) noch einen sehr schönen Abend.
Und wieder hat sich meine Meinung bestätigt, dass man nicht auf alles hören soll was andere sagen, sondern seine eigenen Erfahrungen machen muss.
