I had a great stay here. Staff were great and accomodating, it was quiet and peaceful, it was very clean, and the kitchen was a definite plus. Only downside was the hilly incline getting to and from the location. The views and the lively surrounding areas made up for that though.

Tout étais parfait. La seule petite chose, c’est que il avait un bruit intermittent qui venais des mûrs et que les lits, font énormément de bruit. Des lits en bois, serais plus approprié, que des lits en métal.

La ubicación excelente, ya que se obtienen muy lindas vistas de la ciudad y es bastante tranquilo.
El desayuno muy completo, con panes, huevos, queso untable, mermeladas, nutella, cereales, café y leche.
El personal es muy atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudarte.
Muy contento con la elección. Espero poder volver.

This place is very lovely. My room felt almost private and the staff was awesome. You have access to the kitchen and free coffee/tea which for me is just what I need when backpacking.
Only complaint would be the showers which automatically shut off...

Ha sido una estancia muy agradable. Apenas tiene puntos negativos el hostal. Habitación privada muy cómoda, una terraza con unas vistas increíbles, está cerca de todo la zona turística de Lisboa, personal amable... lo único que no me ha gustado mucho ha sido el desayuno (Zumo de bote, pan malo y poca cantidad, nada de fruta, galletas o otra bollería que no fuesen cereales...).

Gorgeous hostel located in the hills of Lisbon with amazing views over the city. The rooms were spacious and well decorated/inviting. The hosts are incredibly friendly and happy to suggests activities and trips. The price is incredibly reasonable compared to most places I've visited. 5/5 would recommend staying here!

Amazing location, as can be seen at the pictures. The kitty doesn't belong to the hostel but he lives there, at the balcony. Have his bed and food but don't get in the hostel. The personal is awesome. Good people for different places and always ready to help and with food mood. It's clean and with good installations. Good breakfast included, btw! The city is amazing and I totally enjoyed it and recommend the hostel.

We booked and paid for a private room with ensuite and when we arrived they had given it to someone else. The was no compensation and a "oh well" attitude.

Waren 2 Wochen in Europa unterwegs und das Hostel war mit Abstand das schönste - wunderbare Atmosphäre, freundliche Mitarbeiter, super Ausblick von der Dachterrasse (schönster Platz zum Frühstücken). Wunderschönes und großes Zimmer mit riesigem Bad... Auch sehr sauber und gemütlich. Einzig die Anreise war etwas beschwerlich, da zurzeit einige Wege aufgrund einer Baustelle gesperrt sind und nicht ganz klar zu sehen war, wie das Hostel zu erreichen ist..

Ostello perfetto come base per girare la città. La camrta privata è ampia e luminosa, i bagni condivisi sono puliti, la colazione abbondante e lo staff simpaticissimo e super preparato!!! Ritorneremo sicuramente :)

Wonderful view at the hilltop. But if you have luggage， it might be a problem to go up there. It is in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon. They have dorm and private room. Staffs are awesome, free breakfast! I was so enjoyed my stay there.

We came here for a private yoga session with Kat as part of a hen do weekend. The yoga session was excellent (all agreed the best yoga class we’d ever done), amazing views and a delicious healthy brunch afterwards. Highly recommend

This hostel would t even consider a change of date let alone a refund during a global pandemic.
Our flights have been cancelled due to COVID and they outright rejected any request for moving the timeslot or refund. We are literally in no position to fly over due to COVID from Australia.

This is one of my favorite hostels ever! The staff are all extremely kind and helpful and made me feel welcomed. It's in a BEAUTIFUL area close to public transportation. 100% would reccomend. ❤

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at! The staff is very friendly and they have an amazing terrace with the greatest view of Lisbon. It’s very central and close to all commodities. They have free breakfast, WiFi, computer room, and they sell drinks! Couldn’t asked for a better hostel

I stayed here in winter so things were quiet and chilled out. The staff were very helpful, and more than happy to chill and chat and generally have a laugh. The location is excellent, though up a hill so beware! There is a kitchen for you to cook if you wish, and a free simple breakfast each morning. The terrace is a very nice place to sit and overlooks the city. Rooms were generally clean and had lockers. The value for money is fantastic, would 100% come back!

This hostel has a wonderful terrace with a great view and it's located in a strategic position to visit the whole center of Lisbon as well as the Alfama. It really felt like home. And Sara was super kind!

부킹닷컴이랑 구글에 쓰여있던 단점들을 다 보완하신 거 같더라구요, 화장실 문도 잠기고 샤워실 바닥에 물 흡수할 수 있게 카펫도 깔아주셨습니다. 하지만 시설 자체가 노후되어있고(쇠로된 열쇠, 수압약한 해바라기 샤워기, 기울어진 바닥 등등) 돌길 오르막을 올라가야된다는건 어떻게해도 안고쳐지겠죠ㅜㅜ 제발 여기 오갈때 택시타세요 몸살나지말구....

After trecking up hill in the hot mid day sub with my havey back pack for what felt like forever, i was pleasently surprised with the hostel, it has a huge terrace with a great view and you can buy buys and wine from the reception, which is much apprecaites after the trek up there! We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom which was clean and well maintained. We were only there one night but could have happily stayed longer. The hostel had a friendly vibe and there were a few people around around still even though we were entering in to low season. I wasnt a solo traveller but could see that this was a good place if i had have been there alone. We didnt stay for breakfast as we had an early flight but it lookes good and you are able to use the kitchen to make the eggs (which are provided by the hostel) in what ever way you want, which is a nice touch. If you book here and do have bags make sure you als the hostel for directions and they will let you know how to get there via an city elavtor rather than climb many many mnay steps and hills (and i mean many!)Staff were a mized bag, one person on reception was super friendly, the one the next morn seemed like she couldnt really be arsed to be there. Over all though a good place to stay in the old town and near loys fp afes and bars that feel leas of a tourist trap than in other areas.

Great hostel, stayed in a double room with private bathroom whixh was fab, we only stayed one night be would have happily stayed some more, location is great BUT if, like us, you are carrying big pack packs there, either get a cab or find out where the elevators are as is it a big hike on a hot day with back packs! The communal space is nice and terrace was great for watching the sun go down, you can also by beers and wine etx from the reception which was very handy for us.

찾아가기 어렵다기 보다는 오르막과 돌길을 거쳐 올라가야하기 때문에 짐 끌고 가기가 굉장히 힘듬
근데 그만큼 뷰가 정말 너무 너무 좋음. 근처에 뷰포인트도 많음
숙소는 아고다 이미지와 달리 파티분위기나, 시끄러운 분위기가 아니며 주변도 조용해서 편하게 잘 잘 수 있었음. 직원들이 친절하고, 조식도 잘 나오는 편. 테라스에서 조식을 먹기 때문에 아침부터 맞이하는 뷰가 환상!

I was only there for one night. Most of the staff seemed friendly professional enough. The terrace and the views are the redeeming factor for this hostel. Great location (away from the noise of the city but close enough to shops, restaurants etc). Breakfast is basic but you can cook your own eggs which is a plus. The only complaint I had was an annoying interruption in the middle of the night. The young man on the night shift burst into our room, flicked on the lights and proceeded to check in/show the newly arrived guests to their beds at 1am, talking loudly as if it were not the middle of the night. Zero awareness whatsoever of the other people sleeping in the room. I found this highly unusual for a staff member to act in such a way; the newly arrived guests continued to unpack their bags loudly, speak to eachother and walk in and out (although this isn't the hostel's fault).
Other than that one staff member, everyone else was super friendly and helpful. I'd probably stay at another hostel the next time I'm back in Lisbon.

Great views, room and staff. Place kept to a high standard, clean with good facilities.
It was bit of a hike up the steps (even when you take the lift at Dingo Poce) but well worth it.
Highly recommend!

The view is spectacular from the reception balcony. If you aren't staying in bairro alto area, this is the next best location. Do take the supermarket elevators to reach here otherwise you might get too tired since it is a steep way up. Follow the directions on their website . They allow you to cook too so it's very helpful. There's all Accessories in the washroom and it it super clean and run very efficiently. Also it is centrally located . To get to Carlo convent, the cathedral, to get to the topmost location of the city . P.s. I went here when it was festival time in Lisbon and was super easy to get back here.

Incredible experience! I went out of my way on my trip to stay here again. Beautiful views of old Lisbon. Clean washrooms and comfortable rooms. The staff were super nice. Couldn't have had a better stay.

Buena ubicación, un poco difícil acceder a él pero cercana a distintas atracciones turísticas. Buen precio, camas cómodas, personal agradable, la bañera un poco incómoda de usar para la gente que no está acostumbrada a bañeras públicas.

Très mauvaise expérience.
Nous avons pris une chambre pour deux et n'avons pas pu dormir à cause du bruit d'un groupe d'ados.
Apparemment c'était normal pour la personne qui était à l'accueil.
Sympa si vous voulez la jolie vue et que vous n'avez pas besoin de vous reposer la nuit.
Attention la montée avec des valises peut s'avérer très fatigante.

Une auberge de jeunesse très agréable située au coeur du quartier historique et pittoresque de l'Alfama.
L'auberge au caractère pittoresque dispose d'une terrasse très agréable et spacieuse qui offre une vue magnifique sur la ville.
La cuisine est bien aménagée et les dortoirs, même si un peu petits, sont propres avec des lits confortables.
Le personnel est très sympathique et se montre disponible.
Le petit-déjeuner est inclus et des prestations sont proposées gratuitement en journée (pain, café, thé...), le tout pour un prix par nuit très abordable.
Un lieu que je recommande !

La gente fue muy simpática y nos ayudo en todo lo que necesitamos. Además no hay problema para hacer tu comida y descansar un rato. La gente es muy comprensible y no molesta. Tiene unas vistas magníficas a la ciudad y en la terraza puedes disfrutar del sol.

Wir haben uns in dem kleinen Hostel sehr wohl gefühlt und das Personal war sehr nett. Die Umgebung mit dem heruntergekommenen Haus nebenan täuscht zu Beginn etwas. Das macht aber der restliche Ausblick von der Dachterasse wieder wett.

Wir waren für 5 Tage hier in einem hübschen Doppelzimmer mit direktem Zugang zur Terrasse. Im Januar bei ca 13 Grad war es leider zu kalt, um draußen zu sitzen. Der Heizkörper im Zimmer hat gut funktioniert. Wir wollte einen ersten Eindruck von Lissabon gewinnen. Dafür war das Hostel ein guter Ausgangspunkt. Das Hostel ist gut gelegen, direkt unter der Burg (castelo de S. Jorge). Von dort ist man fußläufig schnell in Alfama. Mit wunderbarem Ausblick über die Alfama und auf das Meer, am Largo Santa Lucia. Dort hält auch die gelbe Tram Nr. 28 und man kann von hier aus die ganze Tram-Strecke abfahren quer durch die Stadt.Vom Hostel gelangt man gut zu Fuß nach unten in die Stadt (Stadtteil Baixa). Das beste ist, dass es einen modernen Aufzug am Berg gibt, der die Höhe von 7 Stockwerken überwindet. Am unteren Ende des Aufzuges befindet sich ein Supermarkt.Es gibt viele Restaurants rund um die Burg, in dieser Jahreszeit waren wir oft die einzigen Gäste. Deshalb haben wir es vorgezogen, in der Alfama unten am Meer bzw. rund um den Rossio-Platz zu essen.

테라스 본 순간 힘들었던 기억 싹 다 잊어버립니다
리스본을 마음껏 누릴 수 있는 숙소가 아닐까 합니다

I would stay an extra day in Lisbon just to sit out on the terrace and soak up the view!
It's also really nice when you can use a computer and the kitchen and make yourself eggs in the morning.

I understand that adolescents might enjoy noise, but this hostel is a joke. Ok, the terrace is wonderful, it's really a reason to go there 1 night. But if you intend to sleep, forget about it. The walls are made of paper, every time a door is closed it's as if as if the building would crumble over you. Typical over-profitabilization of what long ago was a beautiful house.
We got the best room (for 2). It was like a basement, with a window to the yard for thrash cans of the house next door...
The young people working there had the mood of old pensioners. The woman in charge was, in exchange, a very pleasant presence.
oh and don't loose your time with the "breakfast"...

Sehr schönes Hostel. Ruhiger als viele andere. Sehr sauber, vom Platz her etwas enger aber sehr schöne Räume. Küche sehr gut eingerichtet. Frühstück gibt es kostenfrei. Große Terrasse, toller Blick über die Stadt. Hier lässt es sich gut aushalten.

The staff are amazing, the hostel is spotless and homely. Breakfast and sunset snacks and drinks on the terrace is a must, since the views are breathtaking. I would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Lisbon.

-Great, central location. The hostel is about 15 min walking distance from Rossio metro and train stations and requires a steep uphill climb (via several staircases) to reach it. You can take an elevator, but must ask for directions to it.-Knowledgeable and friendly staff.-Enjoy the free breakfast on the terrace with the amazing view.

The hostel has a great location in the middle of Mouraria, one of Lisboas most traditional and charming neighbourhoods. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and also a great breakfast. The terrace is the high point, with a beautiful view over the city, perfect to have a nice relaxing drink in the end of the day. Definitely recommend.

Very cosy place, super clean, and with central heating! Our room had direct access to the terrace with an amazing view over Lisbon. The staff was very helpful. They organize surf and yoga classes. We recommend it and we will be back!

Historical building completely restored in the heart of Mouraria, great location, walking distance to most touristic spots. Nice breakfast and friendly staff willing to help with anything you might need. Definately recommend.

テラスからの眺めのレビューの評価を見てこの宿に決めてみましたが、写真通りのステキな場所でした。
正直ホテルの場所は最初はわかりにくいですけど、数日過ごすと土地勘もつくので大丈夫です。
バスタオルは1ユーロで借りれました。アメニティは持参しなければなりません。
ドリンクが販売されてたりするし、良かったです。また泊まりたい宿です。

Revenons d'un stage de dessin peinture pour neuf personnes et avons logé et travaillé (un peu, c'était quand même un peu des vacances) au This Is Lisbon Hostel.( Peinture sur la terrasse, croquis, Yoga...)
Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse, la disponibilité des personnes présentent à l'accueil, les super petits déjeuners sur la terrasse avec vue sur Lisbonne, l'excellence de la cuisine qui nous était proposée le soir (bon anniversaire à Johanna), l'ambiance du lieu, très chaleureuse, très conviviale,

the hostel is super nice, the people working there are really helpful and kind.
the dorm is clean and the beds are very comfortable.
all the facilities are working perfectly.
they are very careful of environment using recycling paper, eco products and they recycle trash... awesome!
and most of all from their terrace you can have the best view in lisbon!

Amazing Hostel! I had great time there. The hostel is at an amazing spot with great views of the city. Staff is very helpful and extremely friendly. The place has a nice character and cosy feel. Nice and clean kitchen. The best part is the terrace! It was really nice to sit and relax and meet with people while enjoying the view. I will definitely visit again!

Sehr tolles Hostel, mit 24/7 reception. Alles freundliche Leute. In der Küche ist alles nötige vorhanden. Das Hostel selber bietet gemeinsames kochen, tickets für div. Ausflüge und biete selbst geführte Ausflüge an.
