Obti a aprovação de Patrão Local nesta escola, depois de ter frequentado um curso de vela, e a equipa e o acompanhamento dos alunos é absolutamente exemplar. Os instrutores são profissionais com experiência de mar e os barcos estão em excelentes condições, numa marina muito bem localizada. Recomendo, sem qualquer dúvida.

Excelente Escola com óptimos profissionais. Tirei o curso de patrão local e considerei um bom curso, com bons conteúdos programáticos e fantásticos formadores. As instalações também são boas. Tenciono fazer curso de Vela também com a West Coast pois fiquei muito satisfeita. Parabéns pela excelente equipa :)

Eu nao conclui o curso de certificacao. Nao senti-me confortavel em permanecer a bordo após descontrole emocional do skipper na primeira rajada de vento em travessia no Tejo.

We had such a wonderful experience here. We took a two-hour lesson on some of the basics of sailing as we had never done any before and our instructor, André, was really attentive, went at our pace and was encouraging. I took my boyfriend for the lesson as an anniversary present and it was a really lovely thing to do together, but I also thing it's a great intro to sailing for those who want to get into it and learn more. Would definitely recommend this centre and André, and I now hope to do learn more sailing on future.

Great sailing school! I am an experienced sailor but my partner had never sailed before. We took the RYA Competent Crew & Day Skipper course (for my partner and I, respectively). That is 5 days living aboard with mixed Competent Crew and Day Skipper students. The boat (a 38-feet Dufour) was very modern and comfortable. My partner and I had a private cabin. I have sailed with some prestigious schools in France and the UK but our West Coast instructor Joao was one of the best I ever had. Even though an experienced sailor, I kept learning new things from him all through the week. Joao was also very good at teaching full beginners, like my partner, and he personalised his teaching to show my partner and I how to handle the boat together and work as a team. I was impressed by the RYA syllabus, that is very thought-through and provides a good structure to learn yachting. The Lisbon area allows to sail in tidal waters with plenty of wind but no waves. On top of the Competent Crew and Day Skipper, we passed our RYA SRC/VHF certificate with West Coast and the whole process was smooth. Very professional team. With Day Skipper + Competent Crew + VHF = we are ready to charter! Only con (not responsibility of West Coast): the marina bathroom facilities at Oeiras were not very well maintained - room for improvement there.

Fiz vela vários anos com esta escola. Excelentes instrutores, muito rigor com a segurança, bons veleiros, oferta diversificada.

Awesome sailing instructor, he has adapted quickly to what we knew and didn't know so we've learned a lot from a 2 hours course!
