We had the house special,with drink for about €10each had wine or small beer with it,nice but not a lot on plate,had another half beer was charged near €2 so not really cheap as looked glad had a dinner later

Good restaurant in albuferia, absolutely unexpected, I never thought I can get an Indian restaurant in small town of albuferia.
We ordered the veg special meal, it was really tasty and felt like proper Indian food.

Great food. I've been to India in the past and I absolutely love Indian food. This is up there with one of the best Indian restaurants possible. If you get chatting to a guy named fez who works there, he is well mannered and a really interesting person who has the right attitude that most should in life. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go again...

We had the lunch menu, which was a very good price for a nice amount of food. Not as much food as you would normally expect from an Indian but it was a perfect portion for lunch. They didn't have any naan available when we were there as the main chef wasn't working but this suggests they make them fresh

This is the best Indian restaurant in the EU . The service is excellent. The food is fantastic. I had one complaint, should be nearer to my house. Might have to move here. Excellent.

Essen soweit O.K. Nicht von den günstigen Preisen täuschen lassen - Brot und auch Reis müssen extra bezahlt werden, was zumindest beim Reis nicht üblich ist.

Excellent Indian restaurant!
I went twice during my stay in Albufeira.
Food is very tasty and good quality. Menu very diversified with a lot of choice. Good price.
Staff are nice and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere.
If you like Indian food or if you want to discover, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Lovely location on a foot path near the water. Food was wonderful and staff were great at explaining different cooking methods and very attentive. Highly recommend, absolutely worth the short walk off the square.

My friend and I are not very familiar with Indian cousine. On our first night in town we went there since it was close to our apartment. We didn’t know what to order , so just asked for recommendations from waiter. We absolutely loved everything we had. Delicious food, friendly staff. Thank you!

Excellent dinner and service. Loved the fact that the owners were hands on and very friendly. Also loved the fact that they customized it according to us/ the customers. We wanted our food hot and spicy and authentic and that's what we got.

We had never dined in an Indian Restauant before. Neetu and Faz made our experience the best of our holiday. We returned a second time and it was even better. We would highly recommend the Indian Ocean. It is just a few minutes from the main square, near the lift to the beach.

Great food! If you’re looking for food that has proper taste/flavour in Albufeira, I recommend this place. Also vegetarian friendly which is rare to find in this town. Also good money/value ratio and friendly owners.

I got a chicken korma and it was the nicest one I have ever eating. Lovely place. Definitely recommend it to anyone and i will be going back before I leave

Can’t recommend this place enough! Me and my family came here for dinner and it was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the staff were so nice and friendly! If you are an Indian food lover you must visit this place! If I ever come back into the city I will be returning!

Amazing! I'm going to throw it out there and say it is the best indian i have ever had! I had lamb balti and lamb jalfrezi and they were superb. The meat was tender with no fat and the sauce was thick and full of flavour. I put myself into a food coma trying to finish it as it was so tasty. Well done indian ocean :)

This place is amazing!!! We live in the midlands (UK) which bosts some of the most finest Indian curry houses in the world yet this place gave them all a run for their money. I had the fish curry with mushroom rice and Naan bread, which was divine. So much choice and fantastic value for money. The staff are lovely and welcoming. You must visit if your staying in old town Albufeira. You won’t be disappointed.

I only stayed in Albuferia for 5 days but we ended up eating here two nights in a row. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Albuferia (also very reasonable prices)

Brutal toda la comida en un ambiente muy familiar y en el que plato tras plato te sorprenden con mil sabores. El arroz con huevo, la carne picada de kebab con salsa.. todo muy bueno y para repetir sin duda. El mejor o de los mejores indios que he comido en mi vida.

Lovely place to enjoy Indian food with nice service. The dishes are displayed on very authentic tableware adding to the „Indian“ vibes, however as a vegetarian their are very few options to choose from.

Really lovely Indian restaurant. Visited here as a group of 4 girls. The food was faultless, so fresh and full of flavour. Service was a little slow but we could appreciate there were new staff on duty who were getting trained. Can't wait to visit again next year.

Just had a week in Portugal and visited this Indian Restaurant twice. The food is excellent, staff very friendly and the place itself very clean. Shows how tasty the food is as it was always packed out. Keep up the good work guys

Having been going to Albufeira and eating Portuguese Cuisine for a number of years we recently decided to try a Curry..In the UK we regularly eat curry so when in Portugal we eat like the Algarvians..What a delight the Indian Ocean is...Beatifully appointed and sensational food...We will be back ..❤❤❤

Weer eens wat anders dan je schnitzel xxl. Deze mensen pompen de dikste hits uit de zero's, terwijl jij gewoon goed eten naar binnen harkt . De gemiddelde mens in deze Indiase oceaan van lekkernijen was waarschijnlijk geboren in 1990, maar dan voor Christus. Dit mocht de pret echter niet drukken, hier merkte je niks van. De bediening was top. Op het einde kreeg ik ook nog Port, dus dat is nog een dikke plus. En die was gewoon gratis wat elke gierige Hollander uiteraard wel kan waarderen. Verder had deze tent een flitsend neonlicht buiten hangen wat uiteraard onmisbaar is in Albufeira. En die van indiaan oceaan knipperde, dus dat is nog professioneler. Maar zonder gekkigheid lekker eten voor een goede prijs, met een goede service.

What can I say that hasn't already been said hundreds of times? Food was awesome, service exceptionally attentive. My wife had a medium hot Lamb Madras and I had the Lamb Vindaloo, both with garlic naan. Complimentary glass of port at the end rounded off a fabulous experience. We eat Indian food often so it has to be great to make us rave.

Food was quick and very tasty! The main chicken madras could have been a bigger portion. Also the guy serving me could have smiled a bit and been a bit more friendly hence the 1e tip but he was quite attentive. Overall 4 stars.

Indian food to die for. Authentic, spicy and tasty. We've been so disappointed in Portuguese food whilst on holiday here so came to Indian Ocean and we've been so so pleased we did. Great service as well, they are proud of the food they serve and it comes across in the service. Fab. We recommend it 100%. We're coming back tomorrow!

The taste of the food was not as well as expected for this price level. Any side dish, as rice or bread had to be paid extra. The portions are not enough .
The boss of the restaurant explained me, that they have only 3 month season , where the have to make all the turnover of the year. So they had to increase the prices.

Je n'avais jamais mangé dans un restaurant indien, c'était une première. Et je suis plus que ravie! Accueil plus que sympa, et c'était pour ma part le meilleur resto que j'ai mangé des vacances.
Petit jardin avec des herbes et piments qu'ils utilisent pour leurs plats. On a pu goûter tout droit du jardin. Je recommande !

Food as good as expected. Timely arrival as well. Clean premises. Correct and attentive service, though somewhat dour.
For some bizarre reason it appears that every second servicegiver in albufeira resents and/or is disonterested in customers. Somany places where they won't crack a smile, or give you anything other than a Hello that just about skips being freezing.

Heerlijk gegeten. Lekker gekruid, niet vet, fijne zaak op een rustige plek net uit het centrum. Prima bediening, goed verzorgd. Indiaas eten zoals ik het graag heb. Aanrader voor de liefhebber.

Helaas toch weer buikpijn een paar uur later. Gebeurt helaas maar zelden dat ik dat niet heb als ik Indiaas eet. En ik ben er dol op, dus ik blijf het proberen.

Had a lovely dinner for two at this restaurant. The Service was excellent, the place is spotless and the food is very good. The price for one bottle of house red, 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 rice dish was 37 euros, and the meal was well worth the price. Recommended for a good dinner experience.

Super lekker gegeten,wij zijn tijdens onze vakantie hier twee keer gaan eten. Service was perfect en het was er hartstikke schoon. Voor de mensen die van super spicy houden en de madame jeanette peper gewend zijn te eten is het gerecht vindaloo lams/kip een perfecte optie. Bedankt mannen!!

Fast and friendly service. We thought the two veggie dishes (chana masala and veggie korma) were very tasty. One of the better Indian restaurants I've been to. Prices were about the same as America if you include the rice charge.

Schönes Ambiente im Restaurant, alles total schick eingerichtet! Das Personal war überaus freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Die Vorspeisen waren bereits ein Traum und der Hauptgang konnte locker mithalten. Und das alles zu sehr fairen Preisen! PS: das mangoeis als Nachspeise war auch sehr lecker

Amazing food and excellent service. The Prawn Madras is satisfyingly spicy while the Chicken Tikka Masala is classic and delicious. Don't miss out on some garlic naan or appetizers like the chicken tikka, which was expertly cooked and came with a selection of sauces and spicy onion. Overall it's an excellent restaurant and a must try for lovers of Indian food!
