We visited Cafe Ingles for lunch today and what a great find. The food was lovely and the staff were super friendly and hospitable. 100% worth a visit and Susie the owner was super nice and great story about how she bought the place many years ago. We would visit again in the future.

Endroit très convivial. Les serveurs sont super sympas. J'ai beaucoup apprécié la décoration. Il y a parfois des concerts. Sinon, il y a toujours une petite musique lounge pour mettre de l'ambiance.

Sehr sehr freundliche Kellner. Gute Laune ist Programm. Die Speisekarte ist kunterbunt. Hübsche Terrasse unter verschiedensten Bäumen in denen die Vögel zwitschern. Dazu trällert die Musike aus dem Innern des Cafés. Es gab Nachos mit 3 Dips und danach knusprige Pizza. Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit!

Ambiance détendue, conviviale, bon vin blanc (2€/grand verre bien rempli) et pain avec fromage et ail (pâte à pizza avec fromage fondu et goût délicat d'ail 3.50€). Soupe quantité, goût et prix OK. Prix un peu plus élevés qu'ailleurs mais ça vaut le détour. Terrasse arborée très accueillante, intérieur sympa. Serveurs/Serveuses souriants. Concerts ts les vendredis et samedis soir 20h (8 PM) et les dimanches à 14h (2 PM). Fermer en janvier 2019 pour vacances. J'y vais souvent. Ev

Questo piccolo ristorante accanto alla cattedrale di Silvers è sicuramente un luogo in cui vale la pena fermarsi per mangiare il rilassarsi. Incantevole location, disponibile e gentile il personale, ottimo il cibo. Ogni sera nel periodo estivo inoltre, musica dal vivo allieta la serata. Se siete da quelle parti sicuramente da provare.

Großartiger Ort, super Kuchen und sehr gute Stimmung. Das Café versteht sich auch als eine Art Kulturzentrum. An dem Tag unseres Besuches spielte eine afro Band auf der Terrasse wirklich gute Musik vor zahlreichem, begeisterten Publikum. Super Abwechslung von der sonst ja eher durch Massentourismus auf billig und schlecht getrimmt Gastronomie an der Algarve.

Wir waren gestern um 18:00 Uhr da. Wir haben vom Kellner eine Karte inkl. Essen erhalten. Es war warm und wir gingen davon aus, dass wir Essen bestellen konnten, also bestellten wir 1l Wasser und je 1 Ice Tea. Eine sehr unfreundliche Kellnerin kam dann, brachte die ganzen Getränke und sagte, dass die Küche geschlossen sei und erst in 40 Min. öffnete. Ok... 40 Min. später und es gab immer noch nichts, also gingen wir.
Als Gast in einem Café brauche ich keinen Anschiss von einer Kellnerin, wir waren wirklich sehr enttäuscht.

Went due to good reviews in NatGeo guide. But we were disappointed. Cake was just ok and the waiter did not bring us correct bill - it was 7 EUR higher than supposed to be. Only after a short discussion with another staff member it was corrected. So check the bill before paying.

Right next to the castle. Spectacular view over Silves from a rooftop terrace. Staff were very happy and relaxed. Fresh pizza and delicious garlic bread..when it got to around 10pm.. was a little dark up there, but didn't mind it too much! Lovely evening and tasty food.

Muy buena ubicación en el precioso Silves aùn así con dificultad para acceso de personas con minusvalía. Empleados amables, alegres y profesionales. Buena preparación del producto. Disfruten de las diferentes vistas que ofrece tanto en el interior, de la azotea como de la terraza exterior. La iluminación una noche de verano es muy acertada. Bom apetite!

E pra isso é necessário que as pessoas consigam comunicar sem a necessidade de gritar .. poderia haver música sim.. mas em tom de música de fundo para compor o jantar ... E não em tom de concerto

This place is amazing! I have made numerous memories here, some go so far in my childhood. The staff is absolutely amazing, they blend perfectly with the whole atmosphere of the place. Going with a big group to this restaurant/cafe is no problem at all! The pizza on the rooftop with a view on the city is so comforting, especially when there is live music playing on the "esplanada". I feel as if i could write a whole book of this summer feeling cafe, it is so nice!!!!

Surrounded by beautiful Moorish architecture adds an interesting perception to the perfect pizza's, which have light crispy bases and delicious juicy toppings. The duck, served with cranberries and buttered mash potatoes had a strong gamey aroma you'd expect, washed down with a fruity house red. The service was friendly, relaxed and made you feel welcomed. We had one of our best dinning experiences at Cafe Ingles.

Fantastic place, beautiful decor and ambience, great location by the castle of Silves, with terrace and view to the monuments very high up the hill, in the town historical center. We had dinner with live concert - was amazing can only recommend. We ordered the (super tender) steak, vegetable and gorgonzola calzone ( recommend for those who can't eat heavy meals for dinner, loved it), and fisherman's calzone (spicy and full of flavour) all was delicious, and went very well with a glass of wine (good selection of Algarve's wines). The staff was very nice, helpful, made us feel at home. Super recommend! The menu does not have many options but enough to satisfy every taste and there is some variation every day. The ingredients were all fresh. The dough of the pizza/calzone was thin and crisp =)

Lovely setting just outside the castle walls. Very good freshly made food and a friendly atmosphere. Better choice than the cafe inside the castle. The sort of place that has your mouth watering the moment you walk in and smell the cooking. Terrace and garden as well as inside seating which we were glad of on a chilly blustery November day. Recommended.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Pizzas are delicious as is the chocolate and red fruit cake. Tankery gin staff that welcome us by name and top notch jazz musicians I'd pay to see at Ronnie Scott's. Al Guitar Duo tonight was incredible. A must go to place if in Silves and a castle right next door .

Une excellente pizza avec une pâte fine et croustillante et une meringue superbe sur une tarte au citron.
Mauvais point : Comment dire... Il y avait un bout de verre dans ma boisson que j'ai d'ailleurs croquer. Aucunes blessures etc mais pour le principe je ne met que deux étoiles et honnêtement, plus jamais.
Les erreurs ça arrivent mais une comme celle ci c'est dangereux.

Wellicht een van de mooiste plekken van Silves, alleen ontzettend jammer dat de uitbaters van dit restaurant dit zelf niet meer in de gaten hebben. De kwaliteit van het eten is niet meer goed en de bediening is erg hartelijk als je aan komt maar vervolgens moet alles zo snel mogelijk om het tafeltje weer vrij te krijgen voor de volgende gasten.
Ook de kaart is maar erg beperkt en voorheen hadden ze altijd nog wat leuke suggesties buiten de kaart om maar ook deze zijn er iet meer...
Zeer teleurstellend.

Nice place in a nice setting. Each of us took however the fig and almond dessert and it was very sweet with alcohol inside. The description in the menu did not match and it would have been nice to know beforehand. The waitress was nice and replaced one of our cakes as my boyfriend cannot have alcohol, but he took a crumble instead which was also not great. So a bit disappointed with the desserts.

Vimos el restaurante desde lo alto del castillo de Silves y no dudamos en cenar allí. Aunque no habíamos reservado mesa y éramos 6, rápidamente nos acomodaron. Fue un privilegio comer en aquella placita y disfrutar de buenos platos, bien presentados y con raciones muy correctas. Los deliciosos postres fueron el colofón a una bonita velada, amenizada por una buena música de fondo. El servicio fue rápido y muy amable en todo momento.

Superbe terrasse ombragée façon place de village, nous n'avons pas réservé, l'accueil est un peu glacial, une fois les cartes distribuées et le menu expliqué au pas de course, ça va beaucoup mieux.
Pas de menu enfant, mais des 1/2 pizzas, ça fera l'affaire et pour les grands, de la morue.
Service rapide, c'est bon, animé, vraiment sympa.
On a passé un très bon moment pour un tarif très raisonnable (pizza dans les 10€,les plats 13€).
Notre avis sur les desserts est plus mitigé.

Wonderful restaurant! Pizza is particularly excellent. We booked for 630pm and sat outside and it was so lovely. Food is excellent, portions are generous and the staff are brilliant. Also good for kids and babies as they have kids seats.

We sat down for a beer, but ended up dining here. Lovely place to sit and just enjoy the view. Both (we think) the owner and female staff had a natural kindness welcoming and serving. The food was very tasteful and well prepared, only the ham on the pizza did not look very fresh to us since it came in square slices. When you visit the Castelo, make sure you enjoy the garlic bread and great white wine!

Ils ont une petite terrasse au pied du château protégé par les arbres donc pas trop ensoleillé ce qui peut-être un bon point.

Op zondag 15.00 uur zomaar komen binnen vallen met 4 personen een geweldige band 5 ex aan het spelen. Er werd direct een tafel vrij gemaakt en we werden heel snel bediend. Het eten was super! Behalve voor mensen die van doorgekookt voedsel houden)
De bediening wat een geweldige mensen, lachwekkend en dansend de paden door.
Echt een aanrader als je in deze omgeving bent. We hopen volgende week nog een keer te mogen genieten van al deze gezelligheid!

Varios años apareciendo en la Guía Routard pero la comida no merece distinción, más bien mediocre y alejada de la exquisita gastronomía Portuguesa, más pensada para los gustos anglosajones.
El lugar muy agradable, sobre todo en el exterior, junto a la iglesia y al Castillo de Silves y, en nuestro caso, un grupo musical amenizando el almuerzo con jazz/pop brasileño. Muy recomendable para copas, café, dulces. Hay que reservar con cierta antelación.

The town of Silves has a lot of charm and Café Inglês is certainly a massive part of that. With exceptional views of either the castle behind or over the town and landscape beyond, it is wonderfully relaxing sitting in the courtyard of the Café. The house red wine really is delicious and the food is actually way better than anyone has a right to expect it to be. The tuna pizza is perfectly cooked and loaded with tuna and just the right amount of other ingredients (thanks for taking off the corn!) and the Smoked Salmon salad was out of this world! Maybe the only thing better is the homemade cakes and desserts, the chocolate orange cake is excellent, oh and the almond cake is as delicious as described... Thank you so much for a special meal and relaxing stop at Café Inglês, we will definitely return for the food and the incredible service next time we are in the Algarve!

Sfeervolle locatie. Helaas was de bediening bv niet zo vriendelijk en kon je er (onverwachts) niks eten omdat het niet druk genoeg was volgens de serveerster. Het was wel in november. Wellicht is het in het hoogseizoen anders.

Tolles Cafe.. auch zum Essen sehr gut. Über eine große Treppe gelangt man zum Cafe.. hier kann man dann zwischen zwei großen Räumen wählen, wo man sitzen will. Meistens sehr voll, wir hatten Glück mit dem Sitzplatz.

Ein nettes Cafe mit Flair. Am Sonntag sogar mit Live-Musik im Gastgarten vor dem Cafe. Die Speisekarte ist soweit in Ordnung, die Auswahl bei den Pizzen könnte etwas größer und sein, sie war auch eine Spur zu trocken. Daher nur 4 Sterne. Die Bedienung war freundlich und flott. Sanitäreinrichtungen waren in Ordnung.

Visited Silves for the Cafe Ingles Sunday music, very hot day. We were lucky enough to get a table in the sort of courtyard area at the rear, and had a pizza and iced teas. The pizza was excellent, the dough tasted very fresh, and the whole thing was great. After the food we went back out to the front and watched a very good young band playing everything from the Stones to Ed Sheeran. Thoroughly recommended if you are in the Algarve.

This restaurant was recommended to us in the villa we are staying and it lived up to expectations. Food and service was great, which made the ambience first class. We sat outside but it did get a bit chilly by around 10.00pm. It was extremely busy and the food was slow to arrive but it was worth the wait. Pizzas were extremely tasty, as was the salad, and I had the lamb bourgignon ... superb! What are you waiting for?!

Live music on Saturday night, lovely terrace. Portuguese cuisine and fusion: I had the best octopus with baked potatoes so far. Large menu of homemade dessert (big portions). Service is sometimes slow but they are so incredibly nice that you end up spending a great night!

doskonała, bardzo klimatyczna restauracja usytuowana w samym sercu Silves, tuż obok zamku i katedry. Zachwyca nie tylko pysznym jedzeniem, ale również przemiłą obsługą i bogatą ofertą kulturalną: odbywają się tu koncerty jazzowe, jam sessions, ale też wystawy malarstwa, rzeźby, fotografii czy wieczory poezji. Dodatkowym atutem jest….polska obsługa☺ Jedna z kelnerek jest Polką, od 20 lat mieszkającą w Portugalii. Co prawda nie ma czasu na długie rozmowy, bo w restauracji panuje spory ruch, ale na pewno uda Wam się z nią zamienić kilka zdań.
