Wolfgang Pulz: Nochmals vielen Dank auf diesem Weg an Katja und Thomas. Beide sind sehr nett und haben uns bei der Planung der Touren sehr geholfen. Die Räder waren sehr gepflegt und liefen ohne Probleme. Zusätzlich hatten wir 10 Tage tolles Wetter. Die Gegend ist zum Rennrad fahren ideal, sowohl flach als auch bergig ist möglich. Christian Scheinhardt: Every house has a good soul, as they say. I found even several of them here, all in one and the same place. People who open their hearts to you the moment they meet you. The "Three Marias" in Lagos is filled with an atmosphere of warm cordiality. Here they not only care for the comfort of their guests, they make them family. Everything is simply and comfortably furnished. Again and again, lovingly arranged details show up: a few shells on the little table in the room; two matching flat stones on the safe; a glass of sea sand on the sink in the bathroom. The absolute highlight is the breakfast terrace. The view over the city on one side and down to parts of the old city wall on the other is breathtaking. Gulls laugh through the morning as their shadows glide across the floor and tables. From a terrace below, two cats are watching you curiously. The tables are perfectly laid, the extensive range of food awaits you on a buffet directly under the kitchen window. Here not only the body is strengthened for the coming holiday day, but also heart and soul get nourished. The hosts lovingly inquire about the previous day, the current well-being and plans for the next hours. Maria, Joao and Manuela are always at hand with tips and tricks to make the Lagos/Algarve experience even more intense for the guests. The breakfast offer consists of different kinds of bread, yoghurt, honey, chocolate cream, jams, sausages, cheese, fruit, olives, tomatoes, coffee, juices, homemade lemonade ... You should not refuse the offer of freshly prepared eggs. Scrambled and fried eggs are simple culinary delicacies. And if there's no bacon, the host is about to apologise with a cheese filled omelette. On a Sunday it happens that a fresh pancake is casually placed on the table. My favourite: add fresh fruit, drizzle honey over it and sprinkle everything with cinnamon. I had my birthday during my stay. Of course this did not go unnoticed. And then they came out on the terrace with a cake on which the candle was burning for the coming year and they sang "Happy Birthday!" to me. Thank you again, dears! Besides, breakfast lives from communication. The atmosphere of kindness seems to attract such souls. And already one is in conversation and exchange with ladies from France, an Australian lady on a European tour, with boys from Berlin and with a girl from Denmark. The "3 Marias" in Lagos is for me without doubt an answer to questions that had not even occurred to me before: In what way do I want to be treated on holiday? Exactly: In the same way I had the pleasure to experience it here! I would come back with pleasure again, dear hosts of the "3 Marias".

O meu pai foi buscar um secador usado para mim no final de Agosto. A secadora começou a ter problemas cerca de uma semana antes do fim da garantia de 30 dias. Liguei e deixei várias mensagens, ninguém respondeu às minhas chamadas. Passei lá várias vezes para falar com alguém e nunca ninguém estava lá. Não só me faltaram os 125 dólares gastos originalmente na máquina de secar, mas também os custos de conserto da secadora, que totalizaram mais do que aquilo para que a máquina foi comprada. Desejando nunca ter comprado deste lugar. Entre as peças e a compra original, eu poderia ter comprado uma secadora novinha em folha. Só que agora este secador tem um motor e ventilador novinho em folha, por isso está a funcionar melhor do que nunca.

Achei que a loja mais próxima de mim no Texas só precisava de treinar melhor os seus funcionários, mas a minha filha e o meu genro estão a ter os mesmos problemas com esta na Florida. Eu também notei quando estive lá na semana passada para pegar alguns suprimentos que eles tinham pedido. Os funcionários com quem lidamos são legais, mas eles precisam de mais treinamento para os departamentos em que trabalham. Nós também íamos comprar alguns vasos para plantas, mas havia muitos sem a base inferior disponível. O trimestre que encomendámos para um trabalho de pavimentação foi adiado duas vezes na data da recolha, por isso o tapete e o chão da casa deles não conseguiu ser marcado para ser concluído. Eu sei que alguns dos Home Depot não têm controlo sobre eles. Há um monte de faltas para coisas diferentes devido à covardia interminável. Mas havia um belo arco-íris quando estávamos a sair da loja!
