In the attendance the employee did not look closely the car, only informed that the car was new. He only jotted down two scratches and did not lower down to check the lower parts of the vehicle, and did not open and checked the trunk to check the car's spare parts and spare tire. Something I did not pay attention to being tired right after a plane trip. Upon return, another clerk was very rude ... he checked everything in detail and went down and identified a scratch on the inferior part of the front bumper by saying immediately that I did it without any proof. I do not think it fair to charge for scratches in rented cars, because I always rent cars and they all have scratches that are never fixed. Other more honest and serious rental companies do not charge for small scratches. Larger damage such as a dent or a broken part is a different matter, but small scratches are something irrelevant, since they do not need immediate repair and are never repaired by the car rental companies and do not cause further damage. Therefore charging more than 130 euros for a risk is totally unfair, dishonest and disproportionate.
Do not be deceived. Most customer reviews confirm that every time the daily value is low, they have a dishonest way of charging through small scratches and sand / dirt on the carpet, charging values from 30 to 180 euros.
From the numerous comments I read on Google, this unpleasant situation is common with most European tourists who have had the misfortune to contact car rental in Algarve. But I will send this despicable and annoying situation to my lawyer to analyze and take the appropriate measures if there is no solution.

Péssimo e desonestos. Valor muito barato na diária, mas depois cobram caro nos riscos. O funcionário entregou o carro rapidamente, não conferiu se havia riscos e só disse que o carro era novo, também não conferiu se havia estepe. Mas na devolução outro funcionário foi detalhista, abaixou e viu um pequeno risco no pára-choque do carro e nós fomos obrigados a pagar 130- euros por um pequeno risco que nem temos certeza que fomos nós que fizemos, mesmo fazendo um seguro total do carro. Sempre alugamos carros com algum risco, e as locadoras de automóveis cobram por quaisquer riscos depois e nunca concertam estes riscos, porque não é uma batida. Isto é totalmente desproporcional, desonesto e injusto!

Bisher die beste Erfahrung die ich mit Autovermietungen im Ausland gemacht habe. Schon der Preis war Bombe, gerade einmal 55 Euro für 9 Tage mit Vollversicherung. Das Personal war sehr nett, die Übergabe war extrem gut (es wurde ohne Hinweise von uns jeder noch so kleine Kratzer vermerkt) und das Auto (VW Polo) war auch super.

Bei uns hat alles perfekt geklappt! Wir haben einen VW Up pikobello sauber übernommen, sind unterwegs allerdings - auf Grund der z.T. schlechten Bewertungen - sehr vorsichtig gewesen und haben den Wagen vor Rückgabe gründlich gesaugt. Gewaschen allerdings nicht, da die Wagen ohnehin direkt am Vermietungsbüro durch die eigene Waschanlage geschickt werden.
Der Angestellte am Schalter war - trotz spätabendlicher Uhrzeit - sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und hat nicht versucht, uns irgendeine Versicherung anzuschwatzen. Wir hatten allerdings vorab über Billiger-Mietwagen.de ein Rundumsorglos-Paket gebucht und den Beleg dafür auch gleich gezeigt.
Fazit: aus unserer Sicht können wir diesen Vermieter sehr empfehlen. Wahrscheinlich ist es allerdings von Vorteil, wenn man sich für das Auto etwas verantwortlich fühlt.

Vorsicht Betrug!
Es wird mit scheinbar niedrigen Preisen gelockt und hinterher werden kleinste Schäden wie z.B. Steinschläge gesucht und berechnet.
Wenn man sich dennoch für diesen unseriösen Autovermieter entscheidet sollte man auf jeden Fall eine Versicherung ohne Selbstbeteiligung abschließen.

Cheaper but about 10-12 minutes from airport. Must use a shuttle. You will need to go out main entrance of airport and walk to back left side of parking lot for shuttle . They were friendly but very slow. Cars are a little older but clean and well maintained. Again price was very good.

Sono poco espliciti quando consegnano auto e non potendo leggere tutto il contratto per le molteplici clausole mi hanno fatto pagare in anticipo 5,50€ di tre giorni di autostrada e poi tre giorni dopo la consegna hanno prelevato 14,75€ dalla carta di credito senza una causale o di un avviso per motivare il prelievo . Ho dovuto telefonare per avere una spiegazione. Fatto molto grave

Scammers - Stay away
his company used to be very good - we have rented cars with them for years (usually 3-4 times a year, every time we went to the Algarve). However, now that Tourism is again on the rise in the Algarve, they seem to have become rather greedy and dishonest.
When we returned the car, they claimed we had a cut tyre. This is not true. The tyre was not cut at all, at the very most there was a tiny rubber flake coming off of one of the tyres that could hardly be seen at naked eye. Yet, the person checking the car went directly for it as soon as we handed in the car, as if he knew it was there (the car was brand new and although we looked for scratches when we received the car, we did not meticulously check the tyres. As such, we ended up paying 205 Euros for the alleged damage as we had no proof of it not being there (remember to always take photos of the car).
I asked for a report detailing the damage and payment so that I could claim it via the insurance policy I bought when I rented the car. They said they would send it via email on that day (24th April) and asked me for my email details, which I provided. However, no email was ever sent.
I sent them 3 emails with no reply. I had to phone them and they eventually replied with an invoice instead of a report detailing the damage they identified and the charges they imposed. They are resisting putting the charge/ car damage they claimed in writing. I assume this is so because they have been dishonest and now do not want to provide proof of it. As a result, I have not been able to claim the charge to my insurance. So they have been dishonest on a double account - of charging for something as little as a rubber flake that should be put to tear and wear - and of not allowing me to claim the charge via my insurance.
Sadly, I cannot say I am surprised. I am just really sad that Portuguese companies continue to shamelessly take advantages of tourists.

Świetna wypożyczalnia. Informacje na temat wynajęcia i opłat uzyskałem poprzez wiadomości prywatne. Z lotniska sprawnie odebrał nas kierowca Auto Rent z parkingu nr 4. Formalności na miejscu załatwione bez żadnych problemów. Po oddaniu auta, przekazanie odbyło się równie szybko i bez problemowo. Wypożyczalnia posiada własną myjnię, więc z brudnymi autami radzi sobie doskonale. Polecam.

Great Staff, easy process and staff know a couple of languages between each other which is great.
As a standard procedure, take pictures of the car whilst you are at the car rental centre BEFORE you leave with the car.
Also don't be shy in pointing any scratches or blemishes on the car when the initial check is being made because at the end of the day its your money on the line.
Had a little knock on the car whilst car was out, the staff mentioned this is completely normal and an accident is just that "an accident, so dont worry" staff were great at reassuring and making sure there was no injuries with passengers etc.
Would highly recommend for the staffs' great professionalism , friendly demeanor and fantastic overall customer service.

NO ALQUILEN CON ELLOS!!! Son unos ladrones! Nos cobraron marcas en el auto de menos de 1 cm , con tal de sacarnos dinero buscaban cualquier marca ínfima que claramente ya estaban al momento de alquilarlo pero por supuesto el encargado no fue igual de exhaustivo al momento de entregarlo y si lo fue en el momento que lo devolvimos, un auténtico timo y mala fe increíble.

DO NOT USE!!!
rented a car for 3 days. Inspected the car before use highlighted all the dents and scratches. These were not all highlighted on the paperwork. Charged me €184 for a scratch that I had already pointed out. Also charged me €184 for a cracked light, which was how the car was given to me. No justification for the extortionate price.
I wish I took a video of the car with all the scratches and dents before driving off.
They really do rip you off, extra charges, deliberately dont put all the marks on the paper work. Car was scratched and dented.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE CONARTISTS

Het boeken van een auto bij Auto Rent RADEN WIJ TEN ZEERSTE AF!!!. Dit bedrijf doet er alles aan om je extra kosten in rekening te brengen.
In ons geval (schade) kosten waarvan je niet eens wist dat het schade was. Bij het inleveren vonden ze een miniem krasje op de bumper van de auto (en die is altijd wel te vinden) dat euro 130,-- moest kosten.
Deze krasjes zijn zo klein dat je eraan voorbij loopt bij het ophalen van de auto.
Het lijkt gezien ook eerdere posts dat hier een alternatief verdienmodel aan de gang is.
DO NOT BOOK a car with this company.! This company has an alternative way of making money as in our case for scratches on the car which are so small that you need an magnifiing glass to see them.

Voiture de retour impeccablement propre après 10 jours de location, quand j'ai remis la voiture l'employé m'a informé qu'il y avait un petit trait sur le capot de 6 cms. Il y avait plusieurs autres traits, je crois que celui mentionné a été négligé. 147 euros de frais, faites très attention c'est une Fiesta de couleur Noir.j'ai déjà loué plusieurs fois avec cette société, quand vous loué en période haute pas de soucis, par contre en période creuse le prix très bas, mas on cherche tous les moyens de vous faire payer le prix normal, prenez le soins de faire des photos sur toute la voiture, sinon évitez de prendre chez ce type de loueur à fuir !!!

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert. Das Abholen lief noch ok, wobei auch hier zwei Dinge nicht stimmten:
1. Die Ausschilderung / Information zum Shuttle war unzureichend, so dass wir unnötig lange Strecken im Flughafen und auf verschiedenen Parkplätzen zurücklegen mussten.
2. Der Wagen war mit vollem Tank gebucht, er war aber nur zu 3/8 gefüllt und die Mitarbeiter haben trotz Schriftstück keinerlei Entgegenkommen oder Einsicht gezeigt.
Probleme gab es dann bei der Rückgabe: Es wurden 25 Euro wegen "ausserordentlicher Verschmutzung" verlangt - wegen Sand auf den Fußmatten. Nachdem wir diese sorgfältig ausgeschüttelt hatten und der Wagen von den Angestellten für sauber befunden wurde, sollten wir dennoch bezahlen, weil wir die Reinigung auf dem Parkplatz der Vermietung durchgeführt hatten und nicht wie gewünscht zu einer Tankstelle gefahren sind. Als ich mich weigerte, wurde mir das Geld dennoch von meiner Kaution abgebucht - ohne meine Unterschrift oder Zustimmung.
Ich habe dann ein Video gemacht und den Angestellten darauf gebeten, mir zu erläutern, wofür er mir die 25 Euro abgebucht hat - er hatte ja selbst gesagt, dass das Auto jetzt sauber sei. Darüber wurde er sehr sauer und hat mit der Polizei gedroht (die er sich dann aber nicht getraut hat zu rufen). Ich bin dann gegangen - das Geld war die Mühe nicht Wert und der Flieger war bereit.
Von der Vermietung kann ich nur abraten. Die niedrigen Preise rächen sich durch Betrug bei der Tankregelung und Touristenabzocke bei der Reinigung. Schriftliche Anfragen blieben unbeantwortet.

Swietna wypozyczalnia. Tanio, z pelnym ubezpieczeniem nie ma zadnych problemow, szybka obsluga, auto w porzadku, pomimo +50000 przebiegu. Przy oddawaniu trwalo to minute i bylo bardzo uprzejmie. Polecam :)

Everything was at it should be- great service. I'm not sure what happened with the people who had bad reviews...but for me, everything was perfect. Bus was waiting at P4 as expected. 5 minute ride to the car home base, desk clerks were nice and funny...even found me a spare phone clip that someone had left in a car (it was broken, but I rigged it up nicely with some elastic bands). The car was in fine condition, it was the car I reserved online...a week later I returned the car and they took my back to the airport..what else could I possibly ask for. Personal note, for the reserved dates (5 days) I opted for insurance..in my experience it's just easier to not have to worry..only cost 50 euros more, and I opted for the highway pass, which saved us time (addtl 7 euros). All in all, I would rent from this agency again- if anyone at Autorent is reading this, thanks for everything- ;)

Korrekt autókölcsönző, új és jó minőségű autókkal. Az autót tisztán és teletankolva kaptuk meg. Egy apró szálka volt csak, a repülőgép késése miatt ~ 1 órával később érkeztünk, a cég pedig +30 EUR díjat számolt fel azért, hogy ott maradjanak. Három autóbérlő személynek külön - külön felszámolták a 30EUR -os díjat, amit én egy kicsit sértőnek éreztem.

Charged for Via Verde tolls a day or two after rental completed as expected, but was then charged five euros weeks later with no explanation. Contacted customer stores but they would not respond; they essentially skim customers' cards weeks after rental in the hope they won't notice.

5 stars are for fair treatment after I scraped car against wall in Sep 2018. Expecting to be ripped off for repair I went to an auto paint repair shop in Lagos to check pricing before heading to airport - they quoted €200 for repainting. Auto Rent had detailed repair price list publicly on counter - €160 for the painting. Further €160 for removing dent. Fair charge for damage and great not to be left 'wondering' what you could get deducted from your deposit. Car and service from and back to airport was very good. Recommend - particularly given their rental price was so much better anyway.

Shuttle hat vorn und hinten nicht geklappt. Musste mit Taxi hinfahren, sonst hätte ich noch ein eine Stunde in der prallen Sonne verbracht. Für die Grenzüberquerung nach Spanien wurde saftig extra berechnet. Genervtes Schalterpersonal. Der Wagen hatte einige Kilometer runter und war von innen und außen schmutzig. Für mich ist der Verlieh beim nächsten Besuch von Portugal auf dem Index.

Unkomplizierte und freundliche Abwicklung, keine Probleme, keine versteckten Kosten. Man wird vom Flughafen abgeholt und auch wieder hingebracht. Das Auto war sauber und gut in Schuss, nur die Kupplung etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Jestem bardzo miło zaskoczony - niezwykle sprawnie i kompletnie bezproblemowo. Z lotniska zabrał nas kierowca z Ukrainy - bardzo miły i kompetentny. Zarówno przy przekazaniu, jak i zdaniu pojazdu jakichkolwiek negatywnych uwag. Jestem bardzo zaskoczony przyjęciem samochodu - bez sprawdzania jakości lakieru, a zdałem samochód bardzo brudny z zewnętrz. Jeździłem Fordem Focusem. Polecam tę wypożyczalnię!

Probably the easiest and most efficient car hire company I've used. Went to P4 and waited 5 minutes to be picked up. Driver helped with bags and very chatty and friendly. 2 minute drive later we had arrived at the hire place and was greeted by another friendly helpful person. He took me to look around the vehicle and I was worried that I would have to pay particular attention to every detail but to my surprise and even though I was looking with a fine tooth comb, he pointed 99% of the marks out. Rememebr to check the windscreen as this accounted for the 1% I spotted.
On return, no quibbles and deposit refunded before another easy and friendly return to the airport.
Very impressed by all at company.
We had a little VW polo which yes was 3 years old but done exactly what you would expect. Drive.

Superbe agence de location. Services impeccables. Location d'un VL pour 15 jours. 2 sièges auto en plus. Prix de la location abordable en plein juillet. VL impeccable. Très bonne finition. Location sans encombre. Juste ne pas oublier qu'il faut prendre une navette au parking 4 en sortant de l'aéroport de faro pour se rendre à l'agence. (compris dans le tarif de location). Kilométrage illimité. Je repasserai par cette agence pour une prochaine location.

Returned car spotlessly clean after 1 weeks rental, when the car was checked I was advised there was a "Ding" the size of my thumb on the passenger side door. There were several other dents and scrapes on the car which were highlighted when i rented the car and I believe the one mentioned was overlooked. 183euros later we were taken to the airport! Rip of car rental!!! Avoid like the plague!!!

When we return car at Faro on 4/8/2018 their staff didn’t check car with us then said there is a scratch at front wheel and want us to pay €184.50 for A wheel. I can’t believe a wheel cost that much for OPEL Corsa 1.4 Dynamic Number plate 68-UC-39, don’t rent car from them

Wat een slechte service. Ze willen 30 euro extra berekenen, omdat ze de auto te vies vinden na 2 weken gebruik. Het gaat om wat stof en een beetje strandzand.
Bad service! They want us to pay 30 euro extra, because they think the car is too dirty after two weeks use. It's only some dust and beach sand.

We pre-book a car with ryanair rent car service and everything went perfect. A shuttle come every 10mins or so at the airport and takes only 5mins to get to the agency. There, employees speak several languages (english, spanish, french, portuguese), they explain you that you can rent an automatic device to pay the highway for 1,5 per day which is usefull if you planning on travelling around. D'ont forget that they have to block a guarantee (mine was 1000e for à small car)

Excellent experience, we made a reservation. Went to P4 at Faro Airport and their shuttle bus arrived in 5 minutes, it was a 2 minute drive to their office. Driver loaded and unloaded our luggage from the bus, opened and holded the door for us, really nice service.
Paperwork was quick and the staff was really friendly and helpful, and did answered all our questions. Got the key and drove away.
Returned the car a week later at the office, at 4am. No problems at all. Shuttle bus dropped us off just in front of the airport entrance. Really good! Highly recommended.

Paying the SSW gare I didn’t have any problems with Autorent, the car they gave me wasn't the advertised but was okish. Was a diesel, as asked, but had several issues. Air bags warnings the whole weak. Tires not on the correcto pressure and the interior was not in very good conditions. But, overall, I'm satisfied with their services as the values for money is fare.

I rented the car (WV Polo) with them in June 2018 for 2 weeks and faced several disappointing moments with them.
1. Though they state the average age of their cars is 9 months, I was provided a 3 years old car and there were a number of cars of the same age on the parking. The body was covered with lots of scratches and dents with lots of stains on the seats.
2. Their fuel policy is "full-to-full" which is really the best option for me. I checked the fuel level on the pick up and the indicator was on the "full" mark, but after some 40-50 kilometers of driven it fell to the "half" mark. The most reasonable explanation of this "miracle" for me is that they fix the float of the fuel indicator in the tank somehow in order to cheat you on the fuel level and just steal 30-40 EUR from you.
3. The windscreen washer tank was filled with just water, without any cleaning reagents which was not very nice to discover on the highway, trying to clean the insects out from the windscreen.
4. I used ViaVerde transponder provided bu them. On the car return they said that the tolls will be charged from me within next few hours after the return and they really did, but I was additionally charged 4-5 EUR some 2-3 weeks later. I requested the explanation of this additional charge from the and asked for detailed invoice for the road tolls which I was promised to be provided on demand, but they still ignore my request.
I will definitely avoid this company in future.

Be careful with your belongings! The renting went well (it was only 2 days really) but their staff haven’t got the honesty of returning any items left in the car. Before you return your car please make sure you take all your belongings with you! When on route to return the car and whilst stopping at a red light, notices my rectractable usb charger was still plugged in so had it unplugged, put it back to the pouch and kept it close to the gear box. Unfortunately when getting out of the car to get the luggage from the bag, forgot to take the charger with me. After the car has been checked by a staff member and while going to the office to close the contract, a young man took the car straight to cleaning.
I only realised I left it in the car when I was at the airport. Called them straight away... OBVIOUSLY NOTHING HAS BEEN FOUND! Called the day after and got the same response.
BE EXTRA CAREFUL! They will keep your belongings to themselves!!

Totally a scam, they just charged us with a scars that has already been there. Please be careful when you rent a car here. Better take a picture before you take the car. Because the marks that they do in their contract is inconsistent between their employee. Totally disappointed with this rent car.

Goede service en uitleg. Helaas ligt het verhuurkantoor een beetje uit de route ( ver van het vliegveld van Faro). Je loopt er niet even naar toe, maar je moet hiervoor gebruik maken van een shuttle bus

Rented for 10 days , unbelievable value, great car, very regular shuttle to from airport, no waiting about.toll tag extra €15 plus tolls used. But given their rates for hire this is not bad. Very professional and friendly staff and they explain everything and do a proper check of car with you when you collect it. From my expierience I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Брали тут машину на прокат в начале июня, должны были дать Seat Ibiza, а получили почти новый VW POLO ~2016 года, с пробегом 70к и были очень рады. В автопарке стояло очень много новых машин, никаких скрытых платежей не было, все оформили быстро и легко. Так же был бесплатный трансфер с аеропорта в офис и потом когда отдали машину, так же завезли обратно в аеропорт. Цены очень приятные, персонал такой же приятный. В следующий раз обязятельно обратимся в эту же фирму!

Alles problemlos abgewickelt, sowohl bei der Übergabe des PKW als auch bei der Rückgabe. Auch der Transport von und wieder zurück zum Airport erfolgte zügig und problemlos. Das Auto selbst war recht neu, gut gepflegt und sauber. Jederzeit wieder!

Weil bei der Rückgabe auf dem Kofferraumdeckel-Gummiaufkleber Seat zum Teil gefehlt hat würde ich zur Kasse gebeten über 60€ , bitte schaut auch auf Trustpilot nach. Ich kann diese Vermieter nicht weiterempfehlen!

Despite the fact that the VW Polo broke down in the middle of nowhere and left us hanging there for 1-2 hours we were sent a driver to pick us from that spot and platform to take the car. The driver took us with nice Mercedes Benz and drove back to their office where we were given a new car with a tank full !!! I can only respect the speed & quality of the staff it was perfect. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nous avons réservé une voiture chez autorent via une plateforme de réservation auprès de qui nous avons payé un supplément pour l’assurance Zéro franchise. En arrivant chez autorent, on nous a annoncé qu’ils n’acceptaient pas les cartes de débit (la majorité des cartes standards françaises !!!!). C'était effectivement marqué en tous petits caractères en bas du contrat.... L’agence ayant refusé d’accepter que nous réglions la caution en espèces, nous avons été contraints de payer une nouvelle fois l’assurance tous risques, auprès d’autorent cette fois. Conclusion, une location dont le prix a triplé par rapport au prix initial !!!! Et en sus, l’impression de nous être fait arnaquer ...

Selten so einfach und korrekt ein Fahrzeug gemietet. Keine Diskussionen bezüglich zusätzlicher Versicherungen und sonstiger weiterer Kosten. Rückgabe wurde mit einem Rundgang um das Auto und der Tankkontrolle erledigt. Wartezeit auf den Shuttle ca 5 Min, Anmietdauer unter 10 Min. , Rückgabe ebenfalls. Einfach nur gut!

ACHTUNG! DIESEN AUTOVERMIETER NICHT VERWECHSENN MIT "AUTO RENT, ALGARVE, FARO AIRPORT" !!!
Habe das 1.mal diesen Anbieter über CHECK24 gebucht und war mit allem sehr zufrieden. Abholung am Faro Airport (P4) und dann Fahrt zum Büro ging fix über die Bühne. Neuwertiges Auto, nach tadelloser und schneller Abwicklung, erhalten. Freundliches Personal. Auf Kreditkarte blockierter Betrag wurde bei der Rückgabe -nach den 17 Tagen Automiete- km Büro freigeschaltet. Fahrzeug wurde kurz inspiziert und voller Tank überprüft. Nach 10 Minuten brachte uns ein Mitarbeiter von AutoRent zum Airport. Alles Prima! 5 Sterne von uns!

Pünktlicher Transport vom Airport zur Station von AutoRent. Freundliche, schnelle Mitarbeiter/Abwicklung im AutoRent Büro bei der Übergabe des gemieteten Autos. Tadelloses, 1 1/2 Jahre altes/junges Auto ohne jegliche Beschädigungen. Wir hatten voll/voll gebucht. Die Abgabe nach 17 Tagen ging flott und einwandfrei über die Bühne. Transport von der MW Abgabe-Station zum Airport ging ruck zuck über die Bühne.

It takes a lot for me to feel compelled to give a car hire company 5 stars but these guys really deserve it. Have used them multiple times and have always received great service. The airport shuttle is never too far away, the pick up is quick and efficient and they give honest advise on the toll pass depending on where you are staying and what you plan to do. Fahrzeugübernahme und -übergabe haben gut funktioniert. Wir hatten full/full gebucht und haben dann 1/8-Regelung erhalten, was am Ende z.G. von Auto Rent ausging. Im Vergleich zu den meisten anderen Anbietern war unser Opel Astra mit 2 1/2 Jahren schon relativ alt und entsprechend abgenutzt. Bei einem Preis von 60Euro für 6 Tage aber völlig o.k.

Cheap n Cheerful!!
We booked through Ryanair and got a very cheap deal of around £55 including all insurance so was a little bit wary of what may unfold. However everything was great. Friendly service. Car was a little older and had a few scratches (and maybe a bit smaller than I thought - had booked a Focus size and was given a Fabia estate?) but given what we paid fair enough. Pick up and drop off was off site but only a couple of minutes from airport. All in all would use again.

All went smoothly even though at first the place seems a little sketchy, shuttle from the airport and back to the airport. Unlike pretty much every other rental place where you filly up to the brimm and the return it all filled up here is a minimum of 1/4 and also what you get..... So refueling becomes a game of just how much do you need???

Wir haben das erste mal über billigermietwagen.de gebucht. Gebucht wurden 3x Seat Ibiza oder ähnlich für insgesamt 9 Tage. Versichert wurde über Car del Mar. Am Flughafen in Faro angekommen gibt es auf dem Parkplatz Nunmer 4 ein Infokiosk der kleineren Autovermieter, hier fährt auch das kostenlose Shuttle ab. Der Transport verlief ohne Probleme. (Hinweis: auf google maps gibt es eine Autovermietung "Auto Rent" in fußläufiger Entfernung zum Flughafen, hier ist aber nichts!) Vor der Anreise haben wir eine Info zu der abgeschlossenen Versicherung in Landessprache erhalten, die wir bei Bedarf vorlegen konnten. Ich bin es gewohnt, dass Mietwagenanbieter sehr penetrant Versicherungen verkaufen wollen, dies war hier nicht der Fall. Wir wurden gefragt, ob wir bereits eine Versicherung haben und dies wurde sofort akzeptiert. Wir haben drei nahezu neue Fahrzeuge bekommen (Seat Ibiza, VW Polo und Citroën C3) und haben vor Ort die wenigen Schäden festgehalten. Es wurde auch notiert, dass es bei Abholung regnete und somit kleinere Macken ggf übersehen wurden. Alle Autos waren bei Abholung vollgetankt. Außerdem kann man vor Ort die Vorrichtung für die elektronische Maut mieten, falls man vorhat, die Autobahn zu benutzen. Die Mautgebühren werden unmittelbar der Kreditkarte belastet.
Die Rückgabe war unkompliziert und ging schnell, Möglichkeiten zu tanken gibt es in der Nähe ausreichend.
Wir können diesen Anbieter uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wir hatten im Juni 2019 12 Tage einen Mietwagen Seat Ibiza über Autorent Faro.
Dieser war soweit ok / wie vereinbart, auch der Transfer hat gut geklappt.
Jedoch wurde bei Abholung versucht uns eine weitere Versicherung anzudrehen obwohl wir über billiger mietwagen bereits ohne Selbsbeteiligung abgeschlossen hatten. Weiter negativ viel auf dass die Autos "gereinigt" zurück gegeben werden sollten da ansonsten eine zusätzliche Gebühr anfällt (sowas hab ich noch nie zuvor erlebet).
Das Ärgernis fängt nun nach dem Urlaub an. Wenige Tage nach Rückgabe mit Bestätigung dass alles ok und erledigt/bezahlt ist wurden uns nochmal um die 8,-€ abgebucht, -nun sollen nochmal 3,10-€ abgebucht werden. Wieso weshalb warum weiß niemand.
Die Vermittlung ist informiert und recherchiert.
Ich werde weiter berichten.
Update: billigermietwagen meint es handle sich laut Anbieter nochmals um verspätete Mautgebüren. Dies verstehe ich jedoch nicht da das Auto ein elektronisches Erfassungssysthem / Kästchen hatte welches direkt ausgelesen und bezahlt wurde!?
Ich rate bei AutoRent eher zu Vorsicht

Loueur avec un bon rapport qualité/prix. Une navette vient nous chercher à l'aéroport pour nous emmener à l'agence située à peine à 3 minutes de l'aéroport. Véhicule propre, pas de pression pour la prise d'assurances complémentaires (juste prévoir une caution de 1000 € par carte bancaire minimum le cas échéant), fourniture d'un boitier ViaVerde pour le télépéage moyennant un supplément d'environ 6 € pour 5 jours (hors coûts des péages). Le personnel est courtois et prend le temps de faire un vrai état des lieux du véhicule. Politique d'essence respectueuse (rendre le véhicule avec la même quantité). American Express non acceptée.

Mauvaise expérience..... Lors de la location nous avions choisi un véhicule moyen de game et ils ont voulu nous refiler une polo... C est bizard ils n ont jamais le véhicule correspondant a ce que vous avez reserve sur le parking.... Pas de GPS fourni donc 42 euros en plus mais pas trop le choix au Portugal .... Puis 20 euros pour un second conducteur.. . Tour de la voiture quasi de nuit et sans pluie... Pare choc avant abimé au dessous... Jantes abîmées... Qqs rayures et autres... Il ne voulait pas noter pour les jantes mais on a insisté... Heureusement !!! Car avons du ne pas voir ce choc au dessus de la roue.
Au retour ils nous font payé un choc au dessus de la portière visible avec la pluie qui tombait... 215 euros !!! Ils ne veulent rien savoir alors que nous n avons eu aucun accrochage ni autre. Ils nous disent que cela doit être un coup de portière mais a nous de payer. Nous leur demandons pourquoi alors qu ils font payer les gens a chaque impact... Qu ils ne font pas les réparations alors que nous payons... Ils nous ont répondu que ce n était pas notre problème.... C est une honte !!! Apres un merveilleux séjour cette agence de location a terni notre voyage... Tout simplement une arnaque. Un conseil: quand vous louez une voiture faites le tour et faites tout noter. Prenez des photos de tout. Même si ils essaient d abréger en vous disant It's ok plusieurs fois car cela prend du temps ? Prenez votre temps.!!!

Dans l'ensemble l'agence de location de voiture reste correct l'accueil y est bon, je n'ai pas mis 5 étoiles car l'agence et plutôt loin de l'aéroport même si une navette est gratuite et mise à disposition.
En ce qui concerne les voitures je ne sais pas si c'est propre au Portugal mais elles ne sont pas en très très bon état et elles ne sont pas à égale des voitures de location que l'on peut trouver en France, généralement en France les voitures de location sont très bien équipés : GPS climatisation options diverses et variées, ici les voitures sont assez basique et les voitures souvent abîmé, c'est la première fois de ma vie où j'ai fait autant de croix pour signaler des impacts ou des rayures sur la feuille de pret. Sur le papier de location ma Seat Ibiza ressembler trait pour trait au modèle 2016 mais j'ai bien eu une voiture beaucoup plus vieille ~2009.
Je ne décommandes cependant pas cette agence car elle fait son travail et elle le fait bien, je n'ai rien à redire là-dessus et je pense que vous pouvez louer votre voiture Là-bas si vous n'êtes pas très exigeant ou si vous ne recherchez pas une voiture luxueuse, de toute manière vous êtes au Portugal et vu l'état des routes je ne vous conseille pas une voiture toute neuve où un état irréprochable.
Par contre petit bémol toutes les voitures de location sont estampillés avec des logos aussi gros que des feuilles A4, il vous sera facile de reconnaître votre cher amis confrères totouristesur la route.

Pas de problème lors de la prise du véhicule mais des problèmes lors de la restitution qui était annoncée pour 7 h. du matin le vol étant programmé pour 9h. A l'arrivée chez Autorent nous avons trouvé porte close, après de nombreux coups de téléphone un employé de très mauvaise humeur est venu ouvrir le portail a 7h30 en expliquant qu'il n'était au courant de rien mais signalant tout de suite que j'aurais 30€ à débourser pour une restitution avant 8h du matin! La prochaine location se fera certainement chez un autre loueur.

This rental shop is outside airport so you need to take a shuttle from the airport parking - this is not a big deal though as they go every 10 mins or so. We had pre-booked and paid a car while booking flights. But ended up paying 59 euros more for extra driver + right to drive to Spain (didn't read the small print) + highway toll device. Next time Hertz or other normal company...

If you rent with these ensure you take out the damage colision. When we arrived back the guy went straight up to the drivers door lock and inserted the key and announced that someone had obviously into the car as the lock was broken. Why he would do that when it was remote locking and there was no obvious damage. They hadnt checked it when we set off. He wasnt too bothered about checking for other damage. When we got to desk he told us to the cent how much it cost without having to look. Despite having taken out collision insurance we had to pay and have to claim back through the insurance. It was so obvious a regular fiddle they must pull.

Auto ok, aber Geld kostende Falschinfomation und schlechter Kundenservice. Wir hatten explizit "voll-voll' als Tankregelung gebucht, stand auch auf dem Voucher, aber vor Ort hieß es" haben wir noch nie so gemacht, hier haben wir '1/4 voll entliehen und 1/4 voll zurück bringen'". Ist natürlich viel schwieriger hinzukriegen und schenkt dem Vermieter im Zweifelsfall Diesel. Und beim eToll für die Autobahn haben die zunächst gesagt, dass man das auch nachträglich machen kann, aber als wir es nach 5 Tagen machen wollten, hieß es" geht nicht". Hier würde ich nie wieder buchen (war via Cardelmar).

Very important review from a very open minded and patient customer
I go to Europe two times a year and I rent a car almost every time. This time, we decided to navigate the Algarve coast by car and rent an Opel automatic car from auto rent Faro. When we arrived at the airport they transported us with a shuttle to the headquarters and everything went smoothly. Afterwards, when they gave us the car, the sales rep quickly checked it ( not even 20 seconds around the car just to say he did) and gave us the car. I accompanied him outside while he did it and observed him. The car was in ok shape but it was not new. We used it only to go from a hotel to another and always used spacious parking lots to park the car. We really did our best to keep the car tidy. We are two women in our 30s we do not go out drink and drive and so on. The morning we were supposed to give it back, we were a little bit late but sent an email to the company to warn them we will be. Unfortunately I sent an email to a non replying adress and instead of arriving early in the morning we arrived around noon or so. The sales rep was not happy and inspected the car for more than 10 minutes. He told me there was a slight scratch. I checked and found a little imperceptive white fine line which could have easily been there before and not noticed by the first few seconds inspection. He charged me 290 euros and told me it could have been a little branch or a leaf that scratched the car. Are you serious? a leaf? You should have done your proper inspection first because I am pretty sure this mark could have been there when we took the car. They only wanted to get back at us for arriving late. On top of that, when i called my insurance they told me they need a police report for vandalism if I don't know where the scratch came from. I called back the place and explained the situation to them. The woman from screaming on the other end of the line and interrupting me telling me she can't help me she can't get me a police report or give me my money back. I never had a problem with any companies but this one lacked on delivery service and after purchase customer service. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER ONE.

After seeing the reviews online I Was a bit apprehensive booking with Auto Rent but all other companies have similar reviews because people dont read the rules or check the car.
I must say that I would have no hesitation booking again with Auto Rent.
We were collected at the Airport picked up the car at a reasonable price,no hard insurance sell,brought the car back and got dropped back to the Airport all without a hitch.

Best advice NOT to use Auto Rent in Faro. If you really want, avoid the sales rep Victor. Unfriendly and cheeky on everything. Clearly hates his job. Everything comes at a price!

I found another car-rental's before , but after I read reviews I resigned for they services. I was rent a car with full insurance, car good, clean, , there was no issues with the return of the vehicle. All process was very smooth and easy.
Compared to different car rental facilities - Auto Rent - Algarve Car Hire maybe is it not very cheap, but honestly - without problems. I recommend 100%.

Superb service, collected from airport and brought to rental shop in less than 20mins. We were with two small children and driver had seats and everything ready. Paperwork took less than 10mins. Car was clean and with good spec. There was no issues with the return of the vehicle. Again all process was very smooth and easy.

Be sure to take lots of photos before you rent the car
. 180€ for a dent the size of a 10cent coin, that may have been there before.. bit of a coincidence that staff member went straight to the dent!

Fuyez cette agence de location, personnel malhonnête, méthode de xxxxx bien rodée.
Je m'explique, j'ai loué un véhicule en août 2016 pour une durée de 2 semaines, au retour de celui-ci l'agent commence à faire le tour du véhicule pendant que je déchargé les bagages ( erreur à ne pas commettre) et reviens vers moi en me disant " bah monsieur qu'est ce qu'il c'est passé au niveau du pare choc"?, je le suit et il me montre un éclat de peinture décollé d'environ 1 cm. Je lui répond que cela ne pas être lié à un choc car aucune autre trace n'est présente mais plus à un défaut de peinture. Rien à faire j'ai du payer à mon grand desarroi. Je pense même que ce morceau de peinture décollé devait être déjà présent mais bien collé et qu'il a pris soin de retirer lorsqu'il était seul à l'avant. En résumé à l'arrivée prendre en photos tout le véhicule, au retour ne lâchez pas l'agent!!
Je précise que je n'avais pas pris d'assurance complémentaire sur le véhicule et comme tout le monde sait au jour d'aujourd'hui les loueurs n'apprécie pas car c'est là dessus qu'il gagne de l'argent en contrepartie ils utilisent des méthodes malhonnêtes

Collecting car was very quick and efficient, but on return we were charged for a very small mark on car less than size of figure nail, when inspecting they went straight to this even those it was very difficult to see, mark could very easily be polished out. charged us 184.50 euros. Friends have had previous problems because like us they did not take out auto rent excess insurance but got own annual policy. Felt that we were being scammed will not be using again. Would not recommend.

The shuttle service is brilliant and organised as is there compound and the actual hiring of the car there a good company but attempted to charge us for a nick in a tyre of which during the car check he went straight too as if they have done this before to others with the tyre all ready on the lowest red they wanted a new tyre but they dropped it

Zeer tevreden over Autorent, mensen vallen je niet lastig met het aansmeren van allerlei verzekeringen.
Inchecken en uitchecken gebeurd respectvol.
zeer recente voertuigen.
Heeft shuttleservice vanaf vliegveld Faro, is daar een paar km vandaan, was even zoeken naar de shuttle, maar verliep verder voorspoedig.
Hebben de auto bij Autorent gehuurd via Cardelmar, was zeer voordelig.

Friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle staff friendly and helpful with the luggage. Both station and shuttle staff speak quite good English. Car was checked thouroughly at check out and easily taken back without any questions. Just the location outside of the airport is a bit tricky to find. Even though I used Google Maps I almost missed it. If possible, a few street signs would help. Would rent there again.

Rented a car here from 2015 - 2017 years every 5/6 weeks during the rebuilding of our B&B Boutique Hotel Montinho.nl at Carvoeiro.
Never any problem. Very help full polite staff always on time at the airport P4 for the free 2 minute drive to there location. Good cars for very reasonable prices. No fuss and fast service. Very much recommended !!

Scammed! Charged my credit card *6 months* after I hired a car from them for a week. Claiming the charge was a fine for unpaid road tolls despite having the autocharger fitted! We will be investigating.

Hatten Sorge, dass der Shuttle Service sehr zeitraubend wäre. Das war aber nicht der Fall. Wir wurden kurzfristig abgeholt und umgehend nach der Rückgabe zum Flughafen gebracht. Es gab keine Versuche, uns weitere Versicherungen aufzuschwatzen. Alles verlief sehr zügig und professionell. Auto war fast neu. Gerne wieder!

Service shuttle in airport and the handling with rent of our 2 cars was excellent, however now 14 days after returned home to Denmark they haven't still released the reservation on my credit card for insurance deposit – although I have written an email , this in essence leaves me with a non useable amount of +1200 € and with No answer from AutoRent in Faro!!!! Bad service and unacceptable!

We rented a station wagon in Faro for 2.5 weeks and got a Ford Focus with 22'000 km. Nice car, just enough space for a family with 3 kidz and loads of luggage. Everything went smooth from booking to take-over to return of the car. Make sure you don't get any scratches on the car as these guys know each and every smallest scratch of the whole fleet!
Instead of getting the surf-stick (mobile-wifi) go and get a prepaid SIM from MEO for €7.5 and you get 2 GB free of data which can be used by Google maps or Apple maps for navigation.

Sehr guter service, alle auto machen guten und gepflegten eindruck. Surf stick ( mobileswifi) sollte man dazukaufen. Gerne wieder!!!!
