Having hired many cars from Faro, after my experience with these guys I will be using them again. From start to finish the service was excellent. Great communication, and responded to my specific requests quickly. I particularly liked the smooth and quick transaction when I arrived hot a tired, and just wanted to get to my location. Drop off was also smooth and easy. For price and efficiency I would highly recommend.

La réservation a pris 20min. Le retour du véhicule a été encore plus rapide car il n'a même pas été vérifié...juste le temps de rendre les clefs Je conseille vivement cette agence qui permet d'éviter les grosses structures et les mauvaises surprises. J'y reviendrai sans hésitation pour de prochaines vacances mais en réservant cette fois-ci.

One of the best experiences with car hire companies I ever had! Amazing service, no hidden charges, no bs, you get what you pay for. We hired Nissan Micra, petrol, 46k km, manual. It had some scratches but was clean and serviced. It is a decent little car, easy to drive, easy to park, fuel cons was around 5.5 l/100km or 45 mpg. This is a trustworthy company. I would definitely use it again.

Prise de possession du véhicule avec une charmante jeune femme, parlant très peu français, étant venu a notre rencontre à l'aéroport. Elle nous a imposé le système automatique de paiement des autoroutes (20 euros en plus de la location de 80 euros) Démarches, 1/4 h environ Nous avons rendu le véhicule avec plus d'essence qu'il n'y en avait à la prise. Nous avons fait attention à ne pas prendre l'autoroute. La restitution s'est très bien passé, assez brève. Comme prévu, la cotisation "autoroute" nous a été restitué (comme prévue) quelques semaines apres notre séjour Nous avons effectué 600 kms environ pour 80 + 40 d'essence. Le tout sans stress. Nous avons loué une voiture via amoita pour notre séjour au Portugal C'est la meilleure location que nous avons utilisé jusqu'au aujourd'hui Pour habitude de prendre du low cost ou on vous force à prendre des assurances ou autres même avec une carte de crédit Amoita est très pro ne force en rien et font l'effort de parler français Nous avions une voiture neuve 13kms

Bon loueur, aucun problème majeur pour le check in si ce n'est que ce n'est pas facile de trouver le représentant amoita sur le parking. Aucun problème durant la location du véhicule et retour/check out facile sans mauvaise surprise. Le seul bémol c'est que les pneus du véhicule étaient usés au point de craqueler ce qui n'est pas rassurant vis à vis de la sécurité...sinon c'est très bien. ( voir photos ci jointes des pneus ...un peu usés quand même...personnellement sur ma voiture je les change quand c usé comme ça )

Excellents en tous points, service, amabilité, arrangement, prix. Même si en basse saison, le prix était moitié moins cher pour les mêmes garanties avec en plus la surprise de se voir proposé gratuitement de nous raccompagner à l'aéroport puisqu'ils allaient y récupérer une autre personne. I was quite sceptical about booking with a local company but the previous reviews convinced me. Well, I can see why they get such good reviews. (And actually their response to a trumped up complaint won serious brownie points too!) Having a quiet day they actually tried to contact me to say they would collect us from the airport because we had a toddler with us. (My phone took forever to work so I totally failed to take them up on this) The office was just a short walk from the airport, the chap we met was absolutely lovely and professional and the collection process very smooth. He explained everything clearly (and fortunately for us, in perfect English) and laid out the return procedure very well. The car was as ordered and very clean, the child seat appropriate for our son. We havent finished our stay yet but I have been very impressed with the service so far, from the booking process onwards. Highly recommended.

Arrived to rent a car in the height of busy season with no reservation, based on the reviews we read online. Suprisingly, they had a car for us, at a reasonable price. Returned the car and asked to have a taxi called for us to get to the train station in Faro to continue our travels - to have Patrick (an employee) offer to drive us himself. Excellent service! I will be renting from Amoita again when we return to the Algarve, and reccomend you to do the same.

Fantastic service, they extended my reservation with no problem, price is as advertised rather than being stuck with hidden fees, and they even help you with the inspection. It seems weird to say "honest car company" but they live up to the title. Would totally rent from them again

I would like to share my experience renting from Amoita. So my wife and I found out the easiest way to travel Lagos/Faros was through a rental vehicle; however, upon doing a little research, almost every car rental place had poor reviews and somewhat sketchy/shady services. We initially booked through interrent, however even though it was cheap, the reviews really scared us. We did not want to get scammed for 200+ euros. So we cancelled interrent and booked Amoita. Now, my experience with Amoita was 10/10. I was a little apprehensive when I received the car in poor condition (abundant scratches and marks). If you are reading this review, you’ll realize why those scratches are there after traveling Lagos. But Phillip at Amoita wrote down all the marks and upon returning, checked the same marks and for any new ones. The whole process was fair and predictable. Even though I paid a little more money I am so happy I didn’t have to go through any headaches or “issues” with any other car rental service. No hidden fees and flexible dates. Pick Amoita and have peace of mind!

I rented from Amoita and I have to say that the customer service I experienced from the beginning to the end was top notch. Everything was exactly as planned when I booked the rental. I was greeted at the airport with friendly staff that went above and beyond to help me get situated with 3 kids since I travelled without my spouse who was meeting me a week later. They helped guide me to my destination and remained in touch during my 3 week stay to assure I didn't have any issues or concerns. A very friendly firm with great tips on what to do in the Algarve area. I will definately rent from them everytime I visit. Thank you Amoita!

We rented a car for a week at Amoita at the beginning of July. We made the choice according to the good reviews and I have to admit, it was the best we could do. The price was exactly as agreed with no hidden surcharges. Their service is 100%. Before the rental, they answered all our questions very fast. The fact that they deliver and pick up the car at the agreed place speed up the whole process of rental (the dox were already prepared; just a quick control of car, signature and that’s all). The car was clean and in a very good condition, almost new. We did not have any trouble during the 1700kms done in Portugal. The person who assisted during the delivery and pick up was extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Thanks to Amoita, we enjoyed our holidays.

Une location d'une semaine, qui s'est très bien passé. Le véhicule était neuf. Pas de problème de caution ou de carte de crédit, la location de siège-bébé à un tarif raisonnable. Pas d'attente, prise et dépose du véhicule en un temps record. Seul petit défaut, l'agence de location est à l'extérieur de l'aéroport, mais 5 minutes à pieds ça reste raisonnable et lors de notre arrivée Marta est venue nous chercher en voiture sachant que nous avions des enfants. Vous pouvez y aller en toute confiance.

We rented a vehicle at the beginning of October. We were met at Car Park 4 and opted to walk to the office. We did have a lot of luggage (bags and golf clubs) but the kind representative helped carry the bags. Paperwork and car collection were quick and smooth as was the return. Great experience. We are planning to rent again with Amoita but we think we will opt for the Airport Service Fee - save the walk.

Before going to Faro, i checked the usual car rentals and was quite terrified seeing all the negative reviews. In the end, I decided to pay a bit more to have my peace of mind, and opted for Amoita and am very happy with my choice. The service and support were excellent, and there were no troubles whatsoever getting the car or returning it (both procedures took like 5 min). Will definitively choose the again when back in the region.

Great experience. Booked our car through broker zest car rental. Amoita staff were really friendly and helpful. Lady waiting in car park 4. She gave me a call just after our flight landed to give us directions to car park 4. (When you walk out the main doors head towards 10 O'clock position) Will be using amoita everytime I fly to faro and will also be recommending to our friends. No hassle service. Just waiting on my 20€ toll transponder deposit to be refunded as we did not use toll roads, but they did advise up to a week. Thanks

100% zum empfehlen. Check-in sehr schnell, auto sehr sauber ,wir haben ein klein Wagen gebucht(Opel corsa) war aber ein neue Modell mit Villen Extras. Check-out auch sehr schnell, personal war nett und die haben mit Geduld alle meine Fragen geantwortet. Zum empfehlen ist beim Buchung alle versicherungen an zu nehmen ,ist ein bisschen teuer (ohne die extra Versicherungen in Schadensfall werd aber echt teuer ),aber dafür kann man den Urlaub ohne weitere Gedanken erleben. Von mir 5 Sterne .

Agence au top sans soucis contrairement aux grandes enseignes dont les avis Google m'ont tout de suite calmé. Ici pas de surprise, on ne vous oblige à prendre aucune assurance( d'autant que pour ceux qui ne le savent pas si vous avez une carte bancaire visa Premier les éventuels dégâts et franchises sur une voiture de location sont inclus dans votre assurance de carte bancaire) , il y a simplement le paiement de 20e d'un badge de péage '' pré chargé '' qui vous est rembourser 10/15 jours après avoir rendu la voiture si vous n'avez pas emprunter l'autoroute durant le voyage. Et les tarifs sont peux élevés pour 5 jour une panda avec climatisation nous avons payer 92 euro.... C'est moins cher que les deux vélos ou le scooter 125 que nous comptions louer sur la même période, sauf que transporter des valise en voiture c'est quand même plus pratique Que ce soit à la prise en main ou à la remise du véhicule pas d'observation du véhicule à la loupe donc il ne vont pas vous facturer un 500e pour une éventuelle micro rayure même si pour ma part j'ai rendu le véhicule dans l'état où je l'ai eu. Merci pour le service je passerai à nouveau par votre agence si je reviens visiter l'algrave

We hired a car with Amoita Car rentals in Faro recently, the SAT NAV did not work at all and was with old and non updated Maps. When we called up their emergency number they were extremely un helpful and did not want to appreciate our problem. We really tried to explain but hey blamed us for not knowing how to use SAT NAV, infact said that they can deliver another one that will be the same but will charge us for the delivery. Such apathy and such arrogance. Will never recommend AMOITA to anybody as we lost so much of our holiday time finding palces and landing in the wrong ones.

Excellent car rental company! For my first time in Faro, i haven't been disappointed. I have to admit that I was a lit bit anxious to rent a car in a local company instead of renting one in an international company, but it was a perfect experience. I highly recommend Amoita which is for me the best car rental company of Faro.

Hired a Category C car when staying in Olhão back in August & service was great. Car was a Fiat Punto, 4 door, in good condition as almost new, competitive price which included delivery & collection to our Olhao apartment. Communication from staff was terrific, they spoke good English & the deposit and motorway tariff thingy were credited back to my account in good time. Would highly recommend for those holidaying in the Algarve.

N’hésiter pas à louer chez eux, pas de soucis de franchises, d'accessoires à louer en plus etc...Aucune arnaque, demander fillipe à Faro il parle Français, il nous a rembourser les 20 euros de location du boitier pour les péages puisque nous ne l'avions pas utilisé, nous a conseillé de ne pas prendre d'assurance complémentaire puisque nous avions réservé avec la carte visa premier, et nous a même ramené au terminal des départ le jour ou l'on a rendu la voiture, à 4h00 du matin !!! Voyagé l'esprit tranquille...

This is the second time we have used Amoita in the Algarve, their customer service is excellent. My camera had been left in our hire car and they very kindly returned it to me in the UK within a few days. I would highly recommend using them. I will certainly use Amoita when we next return to Portugal.

It was our first time when we used car rent company “Amoita”, We arrived in the Faro (Portugal) airport very late, but the man from “Amoita” came to meet us in Faro airport “meet and greet” place. Then we walked to “Amoita” parking place, which is near the airport. He (shame, I forgot his name) filled all the documents and it was very quick. First time I had such a great experience: he marked all the scratches on the car, didn’t insist to buy additional insurance or charge deposit and etc. We arrived after 10 pm. So we need to pay 20 euros more, which is fine, we knew about that. Although they charge 20 euros for “toll roads” and said that we will get back our money if we won’t use toll roads. After one month I checked my bank account and saw that they didn’t return 20 euros, I wrote to them and they said the mistake was made and money went to another account. They returned my money. The communication with this company was very smooth and I will strongly recommend this car renting company for others.

We can't say enough good things about Amoita. This was my husband and I's very first car rental experience in Europe (we're from Canada). We rented a car for 15 days to travel through Portugal. Upon our arrival, we were greeted at the airport and driven to the gas station to pick up our car. At first we were a bit concerned as this seemed unusual however after meeting Paulo we were put at ease. He explained everything thoroughly including the toll roads, which are very confusing. Our car was clean, comfortable but nothing too exciting. We selected from the midsize vehicle and got a Skoda station wagon, which is not a very powerful car but got us to our destinations safely and slowly! After two weeks we had to park our car for two days in Lisbon so we contacted Paulo and he was more than accommodating in helping us park in a safe place. We really appreciate the excellent customer service we received with Amoita and will recommend it to our friends and family.

Costumo recorrer aos serviços desta firma em Lisboa, mas por vezes também viajo para Faro, e posso deixar as viaturas em Lisboa e vice versa. Tal como em Lisboa o serviço e o atendimento são excelentes e a viaturas bastante conformes e em boas condições. O processo de entrega é ligeiramente diferente mas igualmente fácil. Em 5 minutos estou na estrada. Recomendo vivamente!

Good people, good rates, good service. I've used Amoita for years and they've been consistently good. My first rental was based on a recommendation and I couldn't be bothered to do a comparison; but their service was excellent so I used them again. Then a while back I thought I ought to check rates and was delighted to find that they are up there with the best on competitive rates. I've found their service first class - I've rarely had problems with the car but on the very few occasions I've had a problem they've immediately driven a replacement to my villa. Their support service is very good. I've used the big firms in other locations and they seem pretty much the same - impersonal service (they have so many ordinary customers) and a tendency to try to charge extras - worst example is Avis. But Amoita are effectively "local" in Portugal so you get a more personal and helpful service. I get the impression they really do try to be better than the rest and I've enjoyed dealing with them; I unhesitatingly recommend them to my friends who visit Portugal and they've all been pleased. For a first time user it may seem odd meeting the rep in a coffee bar rather than in a separate office; but I hate the impersonal branded office firms and I love the simpler Amoita approach to the formalities. And I firmly like the more relaxed (and easy) collect and return arrangements. Every time I use them the collection is quick and straightforward and the car's immediately available. You might have a problem finding them the first time you use them if you turn up expecting big signs like Hertz, Avis or Sixt - contact Amoita before to get a note on where to meet. So I've found good people (which makes such a difference for the tired traveller), good rates (I don't mind paying a bit more for better stuff but with Amoita I don't have to pay extra!) and good support (vital in case of need). If they were international I'd use them everywhere.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. I have never had lower costs in Portugal. I recommend using this Rental Car service whenever in Portugal, they really care about their customers.
