I stayed with my family in January 2020 and it was the one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable. We all had robes and slippers which was wonderful. The bathroom was amazing and well stocked with lovely products. The breakfast was amazing. I am gluten free and the chef made me gluten free pastries fresh each morning. I felt like royalty. The staff were very professional and helpful and so friendly. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. Obrigada!!

Beau boutique hotel: decoration recherchée, personnel extrêmement aimable et bienveillant, petit déjeuner a la hauteur de l'établissement. Notre chambre était quand même très petite et occupée par le bourdonnement constant du tableau électrique et nous avions vue sur des échafaudages (cela n'est en rien la faute de l'établissement) Sinon très bien.

Housekeeping staff annoying and disrespectful they have suspicious behavior. I was left my cell phone in the room for charging. When I was come back to room I noticed that housekeeping staff entered to room for bring cookies and weather information card and for some reason they changed location of my cell phone in the room. I did not understand that behavior because there was no reason, no authorization to touch or replace location belongings of hotel guests without permission. I informed front desk about situation they were apologized behalf of housekeeping but I did not satisfied, for me it is unacceptable. Housekeeping has to know that do not touch any belongings of hotel guests for any reason. This hotel working with amateurs I do not thrust them about privacy and security. Guests should consider about these issues who cares about privacy and security.

Schönes ruhiges Zimmer das gut ausgestattet ist. Die Verdunkelung n den Zimmern hat es was besser sein können. Ich habe trotzdem sehr gut geschlafen.Sehr sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Leckeres Frühstück. Das Buffet war sehr reichhaltig und es gab auch noch eine kleine Karte. Auch der Kaffee war lecker.

Immediate assistance to fix a minor plumbing issue. Rooms a little small but clean and close to SOUNDPROOF ! Try to request a room facing main avenue. If ever back in Lisbon this is the place we will choose to stay.

Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent location within a three minute walk to the Avenida Metro station. Walking distance to many of the attractions in the heart of the city. The smart phone that was at my disposal with unlimited data was a very nice touch. Breakfast included was a nice bonus.

O brunch tem um preço bom, a qualidade da comida e do ambiente fazem valer muito a pena. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here. What a gem of a hotel. Absolutely beautiful. Our room was spectacular and spacious- King bed, wainscoting throughout the room and bathroom, big walk-in shower and soaking tub, separate WC, walk-in closet. Even though it was on a busy street, the dual panel windows made it extremely quiet. Close to great restaurants-within easy walking distance of everything. The staff were all superb, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the restaurant. And all spoke excellent English. Everyone was so accommodating, wanting to make sure our stay was fantastic and that we lacked for nothing. We were left with very fond memories and will come back again for sure. Thank You Val Verde Hotel and staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

For someone who travels a lot it is not often that I am surprised by a hotel. The Valverde is about as good as a European hotel can get. While I was in a suite, all of the rooms were large and very well appointed. The food was outstanding, and the breakfasts were absolutely delicious. And you cannot beat the location in the heart of Lisbon.However, what really sets this hotel apart is the service. I have rarely seen a staff go out of their way like the staff at the Valverde, making sure that my wife and I were comfortable, giving great directions and recommendations, and even little thing like holding an umbrella over her when we got into an Uber.The only negative was a blown light bulb in a lamp and some minor housekeeping issues. This is one hotel that i will be happy to stay at again!

Everything was good except breakfast service attitude. The staff in breakfast hall was not very attentive, 8 out of 10 time they are behind the counter and chatting instead of asking customer if they need anything. We always have to ask for water or additional tea or butter instead of they are initiating the need.

We had a gorgeous suite that had a beautiful view over the Alfama area. The suite had fantastic interior features such as bluetooth Harman-Kardon speaker, automated curtains and automated blinds, and plenty of sitting area. It was most enjoyable, we hardly wanted to leave the suite!

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but stopped in for a drink at their patio bar on a Sunday evening before a dinner reservation nearby. The service was incredible. The patio is beautiful. And the cocktails are amazing. Highly recommend!!

We were treated like royalty when we checked in. We were offered water, and we sat down and chatted about our stay. We asked about what to do in the area and we received a detailed explanation with the map on things to do and see. Everyone was so friendly. We enjoyed a meal and jazz night in our first night and fado and drinks on our second night.

Perfect! From the level and warmth of the service, to the beauty and comfort of our room, to the quality of the dining room, to the location in the city, everything was perfect. Other than the pillows, which were a little hard for my taste, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Though at a first sight the hotel is a bit gloomy, once you step down to the bar and get into ithe courtyard then the ambiance changes drastically for better. You find yourself in an eden-like in the bustling city that Lisbon has recently become. The staff is kind but not very efficient. For a 5star hotel you expect a service of the same ranking and so the same you do for the quality of the orders. The scones were not the traditional ones, while the chocolate cake was served warm on a hot day!!! It was obvious that it had been oven heated, perhaps for being deep frozen before. Not acceptable to be served at a place of such a status. As to prices charged, you pay the ambiance...

Tämä oli todella mukava ja tyylikäs hotelli. Sijainti metron vieressä ja lyhyehkön kävelymatkan päässä nähtävyyksistä oli erinomainen. Palvelu oli kaikin puolin ystävällistä avuliasta. Aamiainen viihtyisässä aamiaishuoneessa oli erinomainen. Myös illallinen hotellin ravintolassa oli hyvä, ja saimme illallisen lomassa kuunnella myös fado-lauluja. Suosittelen lämpimästi!

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Very convenient location. Staff were super helpful and very friendly. Service was very personalized which is what we like., Breakfast was delicious. A cell phone with wi-fi and international calling provided by hotel was an added plus. Would highly recommend it.

It's a small oasis in the City centre. Never stayed at the hotel but went there for lunch several times. The yard is incredibly beautiful and quiet. The food is extremely good and the staff extremely correct. Worth a visit!

We stay at 5 star hotels often, and the Valverde Hotel is no 5 star hotel. We travel often, and I always try to write reviews about our best and worst experiences to help others. This hotel is in my worst column. Look at my other reviews, and you can see I rarely give one star, but this was such a disappointment. These are some of the reasons this hotel is closer to a 3 or 4 star hotel: 1. The “king bed” is two twin lumpy mattresses pushed together. Our nights were horrible, because the mattresses and pillows were so uncomfortable. 2. No door / privacy for the toilet, which means only one person at a time can use the entire bathroom. 3. No fan for the toilet. So, you better hope you don’t get sick during your stay. 4. One tiny sink with limited counter space. 5. No gym / fitness center: We’ve never stayed in a 5 star hotel without a fitness center; so, it didn’t seem important to check that they had a gym. What they do have is a tiny wading pool. For us, working out daily is super important. Since we had no gym, my husband opted to jog. Since Lisbon is just steep hills and valleys on bumpy roads, he hurt his back on one of the runs. 6. Tiny pool: The pool is closer to a wading pond located right outside the restaurant. It isn’t large enough for an adult to swim for fitness. The pictures are deceptive. 7. One tiny elevator. If it breaks during your stay, yikes. 8. Lack of toilet paper: We almost ran out twice. We ran out of facial tissue once. 9. Dark and dingy: The room was very dark and the lighting was inadequate. 10. No elevator to reception area (no doorman typically either): Although not critical for us, if you have a disability or have a lot of luggage, it would be awful. I could go on listing other things, but I will spare you more details. Some of these items alone would knock this off a 5 star experience; in combination, it just made us feel more and more robbed. We booked a suite and paid a fortune to stay here (over 500 Euros/night), because it was listed as a 5 star hotel and the reviews were so good. I’m convinced most of the reviews are fake, because there is no way anyone who has stayed at 5 star hotels would recommend this place. When we return to Lisbon, we will definitely be booking at a name brand hotel.

Passé la réception très minimalisme, vous irez de ravissement en ravissement: luxe, calme, et volupté. Tout est parfait dans la déco design, laccueil personnalisé, la cuisine et le petit déjeuner concoctés avec des produits frais .Bien placé dans le centre ville pour se promener à pieds dans les ruelles, et à labri du bruit dans la verdure dune avenue chic.

Très bel hôtel, très calme, parfaitement situé, le restaurant est de grande qualité et le personnel adorable et aux petits soins comme rarement. Nous avons voyagé pour la premiere fois avec notre bebe de 6 mois et cette première expérience a été parfaite grâce à l’ensemble de l´équipe. Nous nous sommes sentis en famille! Jag och mina vuxna döttrar firade jul i Lissabon. Jag bokade hotellet för att det var ett litet 5-stjärnigt hotell med centralt läge. Vi ville bo tillsammans så jag bokade en juniorsvit. När vi kom dit blev vi uppgraderade till en större svit högst upp med panoramautsikt. Fantastiskt snyggt och designat hotell, med trevlig personal som gav service utöver det vanliga. Trevlig restaurang med mycket god mat.

A superb, modern boutique hotel in the heart of Lisbon, blessed with friendly and truly service minded staff. The staff were young, attentive and with a genuine understanding of what you as a guest need to make a good stay. No old fashioned snobbery. The room we had, was an absolutely wonderful suite, spacious and with a very tasteful furnishing. The hotel is small, 25 rooms I believe, but didn’t feel at all crowded when we were there (aug 2017). Wifi was excellent all over the hotel. The restaurant was just amazing with its lovely atrium that was a true oasis in the middle of busy Lisbon. The meny was short but the dishes we tried were all excellent. Needless to say, breakfast was awesome, in particular if You like pastry! The location of the hotel is perfect, just in the heart of Lisbon. Metro less than 100m away, bus stop even closer. And still You can walk to most interesting places. All in all, for a modern traveller, who appreciate and can afford better hotels, this is the place to stay in Lisbon, no doubt!

The Valverde Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel that was just recently completely renovated. It was an excellent value for how nice and comfortable it is. The location is excellent on a beautiful street with high-end shopping and only a 10/15 minute walk to the main squares of the city. There are great restaurants all around the hotel area.The whole space -- the common spaces and our room -- was beautiful with dark woods and fabrics and a beautiful, big marble bathroom with both shower and tub. Breakfast was included in the rate and was delicious with many options. There is a small pool in the breakfast area that you can sit in or put your feet in. We didnt use the pool, but it was nice to have it in the breakfast area. The staff for both the hotel and the restaurant were very, very nice and helpful. We would stay at this hotel again if we are ever back in Lisbon.

Mesmo para quem não fica hospedado, o hotel Valverde dispõem de um espaço ao ar livre no andar -1 com um serviço de bar exemplar e com espaço exterior repleto de elementos naturais. Como cereja no topo do bolo, uma piscina de hidromassagem com água aquecida. Tudo isso num só espaço. Perfeito.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Extrem freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Beeindruckend fanden wir die Ruheoase mit Pool. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Das Bad ist top, nur ein wenig zu dunkel. Ales in allem können wir uns kaum ein besseres Hotel für eine Städtetour vorstelle.

Das Hotel liegt wunderbar zentral an der hippen Avenida da Libertade. Von hier aus ist alles sehr gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Metro Anvenida ist fast gegenüber, so dass auch weitere Destinationen schnell erreichbar sind. Das Staff im Hotel ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Fenster schliessen sehr gut, so dass der Verkehrslärm von der Avenida nicht ins Zimmer kommt. Das Hotelrestraurant ist sehr schön und produziert qualitativ hochwertige Speisen.

Accueil sympathique, le personnel est attentif , et lhôtel est bien situé dans Lisbonne . La décoration des chambres et de lhôtel en général est moderne, mais le lieu a le charme de lancien, et dun établissement de taille humaine.

The immediate surrounding area is comprised mainly of high end shopping but you're within a sort walk of a ton of bars/restaurants in neighborhoods like Barrio Alto, which is less than a 10 minute walk away. Breakfast in the terrace/pool area is a great relaxing way to start the day.

Sehr und hilfsbereites Personal, Küche hat sich auf nicht alltägliche Nahrungsmittelunverträglichkeit individuell eingestellt. Zimmerausstattung (Suite) komfortabel, alles sehr sauber. Es blieben keine Wünsche offen.

A fabulous quirky trendy hotel with amazing staff that are so professional beyond their years!!! Had a great weekend here recently with my hubby a break before the madness of the Christmas began... The food the wine the service all truly 5 star. The room was beautiful we even took snaps to try recreate some of the design ideas in our home.. Tolles Boutiquehotel im Herzen Lissabons! Sehr zentral gelegen - alles zu Fuß zu erreichen und die U-Bahn zum Flughafen direkt vor der Tür. Das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Hier weiß man noch was ein Gastgeber ist, toll! Das Frühstück ausgesucht und lecker. Das Gesamtdesign ist wunderschön und der Preis wirklich angemessen. Wir würden diese Hotel unbedingt weiterempfehlen und wieder buchen!

Grossartiges Boutique-Hotel mit toller, stylische Einrichtung, sehr zuvorkommendem Service, kleinem aber sehr feinem Frühstück und einem wunderbar warmem Pool, um sich nach der langen Stadttour zu erholen.

Das Hotel liegt perfekt für alle Besichtigungen - sowohl zu Fuß als auch mit der Metro - in einer sehr schönen Lage in der Avenida da Liberdale. Die schalldichten Balkontüren (kann man öffnen) lassen keinen Straßenlärm durch. Das De lux Zimmer ist platzmäßig gut, Badezimmer mit Dusche und Badewanne. Alles sehr stylisch und neu.Wir haben uns vom check in an wohlgefühlt. Das junge, engagierte Hotelteam, war sehr hilfsbereit und kompetent bei Fragen und Tipps für Veranstaltungen, Lokale, Reservierungen.Leider war das Wetter etwas unbeständig, dadurch haben wir das im schön gestalteten Innenhof befindliche, beheizte kleine Pool nicht genützt. Hier konnte man bei Loungemusik nach der Sadtbesichtigung den Tag entspannt ausklingen lassen.Die Stadt lässt sich zu Fuß gut erkunden. Es macht auch Spaß kurzentschlossen mit einem Tuk Tuk zu fahren, Taxis sind überall zu bekommen und sehr günstig. Für einen Tag haben wir ein Auto gemietet und die Umgebung besichtigt (Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Gunicho, Estoril und Cascais und die gegenüberliegende Seite des Tejo)Es war ein wunderbarer 5tägiger Aufenthalt in Lissabon.

Wir waren 5 Tage in Lissabon und haben uns in dem Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war komfortabel und besonders das Badezimmer gut ausgestattet. Beim Frühstück gab es eine gute Auswahl an leckeren Sachen. Man konnte sich auch sein Wunsch-Omlette bestellen.Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und in unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich eine Metro-Station. Man kann aber auch gemütlich zu Fuß bis zum Praca do Comercio laufen. Von dort aus gibt es alle Verbindungen, z.B. für einen Ausflug nach Belem. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Neu eröffnetes Hotel, moderne Zimmer, super zentrale Lage zum Sightseeing, toller Patio für den Kaffee zwischendurch, gutes Frühstücksbuffet, sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal.

Wir waren schon öfters in Lissabon und sind von diesem Hotel in jeder Hinsicht begeistert! Es ist ein wunderschön renovierter Altbau mit stilecht ausgesuchter Möblierung und feinen Materialien, tollen Bädern und sehr gut gelegen. Das Frühstücksangebot ist eher klein aber fein, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.

Haben 3 Nächte für die Stadtbesichtigung im Hotel verbracht.Sehr schöne und große Zimmer (auch das Badezimmer) und trotzdem man mitten in der Stadt ist, sehr ruhig. Ruhiger und schöner Innenhof mit Schwimmbad.Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen.Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit.Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.Ideal für die Besichtigung, haben alles bis auf Belem und Expogelände zu Fuß vom Hotel aus besichtigen können.

Zimmer sind sehr sauber und ruhig. Man wurde auch durch einen vom späten Abend bis in die Nacht dauernden Events auf der Straße, bei dem auch laute Musik gespielt wurde, im Zimmer in seiner Nachtruhe nicht gestört. Ein derart ruhiges Hotel haben wir bislang noch nicht erlebt. Die Zimmerausstattung war sehr gut und auch das Bad war überwältigend. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr hilfsbereit und gibt auch Tipps für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war vielseitig angerichtet. Wir haben selten einen so guten Kaffee bekommen und der Orangensaft war ebenfalls stets frisch gepresst.
