The absolute worst. Bedlam reigns. Picking up our car took close to three hours, and they managed to upcharge us $300 for bogus nonsense. It is a scam. If you don't have enough chaos and chicanery in your life, this is your new favorite car rental company.

Worst car rental experience so far, when I received the car, they lied to me that the car fuel tank is broken and the fuel index can not go higher than 5/8 even it's full, I was careful enough and I asked the stuff to write down a comment on the car check form to explain this situation. But it was totally a lie, since I've started driving, the fuel tank index started reducing immediately and when I fulfilled the tank during the trip, the index can go to 8/8 when it's full. When I returned the car, the fuel tank index was around 6/8 full, so I returned the car with even more fuel when I got it, I explained the situation to the guy who received the car and he just said "yes yes, i got it". apparently he didn't understand or transmitted the message. At the end, they charged me money for the fuel, for the service to refill the tank and a fine for not return the car with full tank. It was totally 40 euro something, it's not big deal to me, but I just can't accept the fact that even I returned the car with extra fuel as a gift for them, they still charged me a fine. Before I wrote this comment, I had contacted with their customer service, same result, they don't want to do any investigation and just kept the same decision. I think this company is really not well organised, people are not competent and super lazy, if you rent the car with them, don't trust their stuff at all, follow the car check from end to end, otherwise you could be the victim as me. I never choose this company again in my life.

Booked prepaid with Expedia "including all mandatory fees and charges" but Europcar want to charge me "airporttax" 25€+IVA=30,75€ Car was upgraded how it's dusty inside and stinks smoke af... Lisbon airport is always same: you can book wherever: it will be a scam in any case regardless the company (Sixt and Avis is better)! Shame on you, Europcar to be avoided BTW: they bought Interrent and Goldcar which are both non trustworthy car rentals!

J'ai rendu la voiture nickel sans dégât, propre ( une bonne heure au car wash ). J'ai rendu les clefs en boite aux lettres vers 6h le matin car il n'y avait personne pour me recevoir, donc la voiture n'a pas été vérifiée en ma présence. Europcar s'est permis de me ponctionner presque 200 euros sur la franchise de dégâts matériels mais je n'ai jamais reçu de détails ni de liste ou de photos des soi disant dégâts occasionnés. Uniquement la facture C'est du vol et ce n'est pas la première fois que j'entends cela avec cette compagnie. J'en ai terminé avec europcar, c'est la première et dernière fois, à Fuir!

Il faut bien faire attention à sa réservation car sinon ils nous rajoutent des frais et donc être vigilant. Sinon bon rapport qualité prix et ne pas hésiter à prendre le premium pour éviter tout problème de caution et de franchise.

Bardzo łatwe i szybkie wypożyczenie. Warto wcześniej zarezerwować samochód przez internet, wtedy proces przebiegnie sprawniej. Dostaliśmy lepszy samochód niż ten który wybraliśmy. Obsługa poinformowała nas dokładnie o możliwych kosztach, potrąceniach jak ich uniknąć ( np. przejezdzając tylko na wyznaczonych bramkach autostrady) i o zasadach oddania samochodu. Kaucja została zwrócona bardzo szybko, po dwóch-trzech dniach od odddania samochodu. Warto jest wykupić ubezpieczenie i dopilnować aby każda rysa, małe wgniecenie bylo odnotowane przed wynajeciem samochodu. Bardzo dobrze jezdzilo się po Portugalii. Polecam serdecznie :)

Pior experiência possível . Recusaram entrega do carro pois o cartão de crédito estava em nome da minha mãe e não do meu pai (pessoa que foi levantar o carro) sendo que são casados não vejo qual é o problema. Atendimento rude. E quando questionados sobre soluções simplesmente disseram que iam fazer a anulação da reserva e devolver o dinheiro. Nunca mais. Já é a segunda vez que causam problemas

Lo siento, pero será la última vez que alquile un vehículo con esta compañía. Llamé por teléfono para informarme de las condiciones de alquiler y me dijeron que se me retendrían 300€ de fianza, que automáticamente se me devolverían al devolver el vehículo (lo devolví el día 21 y aun sigo esperando la devolución más de una semana después). Hago todo el trámite online para ir solo a ventanilla y recoger la llave y el contrato y me indican que el coche va sin seguro, que si quiero asegurar tengo que pagar más de 16€ por día, total ya con todo pagado y en el aeropuerto de destino no te quedan más narices que asumirlo y pagar más por el seguro que por el propio alquiler, bien se lo callan antes de hacer la reserva los listillos. Y nada ahora a seguir con llamadas hasta que me devuelvan mis 300€ de fianza...

Had very big problem and takes more that one month to resolve problem (didn't get any apologise from Europcar). There was demage back shelves and it was recognize and write on paper during check in. We return car during OOH. Later I receive that new demage was found notice and they immediately charge me more than 160 EUR. I complain and sent 5 times their paper on email but no one read because no one new how translate word broken shelve. After one months and complain even on Facebook thay finally found someone who translate and they give me back my money. BUT then I found that they charge me for gas but I fill car 100m before airport rent a car agency and I have Proof. Latter they give me back money for gas too. Story is from Lisbon airport

Super bad experience: We had to wait over 1,5h to get our reserved car! I was waiting for my partner at the EC stall in the garage, and the staff behaved very unprofessional; screaming, singing and so on. The organization of the pick-up is so inefficient: you cannot get the car documents and keys at the carage. You have to pick it up iat the crowded airport terminal. Never again!

Eine einzige und immerwährende Katastrophe. Unendliche Wartezeiten von min. 1 Std. sind mit Urlaubsbeginn schon kaum zu ertragen. Als Businesskunde jedoch ist das keineswegs akzeptabel. Dies war definitiv meine letzte Anmietung bei Europcar in Portugal.

The staff were friendly enough. It was the busiest rental car agency in the day we visited so the wait was 20mins+ to be served. Don't forget to grab a ticket from the machine to the left of the counters. Having a reservation does not negate the need for getting one of these tickets and we saw people wait in line for a while before realising.

This place... it makes no sense. You've got signs, but they lead you to a perma-closed smaller branch with no indications to where the REAL branch is. Eventually you find it, massive queue because it needs more staff, eventually got some paperwork (not keys), so now I have to get up to the second floor of the parking lot (why not drive the car to me? That would be customer service) to get the car. Very inconvenient since remember that you're careying your luggage with you all this time, up and down, in and out. The car was nice, but then again I paid for it to be nice, so they don't even have that going for them. Needs more staff and needs staff to bring you the car to you if your branch is so convoluted to get around in. Proper signage would be great too, you're indicating people to the wrong place.

With reservations already made with the travel agency and still: +30m waiting in line at the Europcar counter; +20m to make 'the rental contract' although almost all info was given during reservation....; +45m waiting for the car at the parking lot Europcar people were very nice but still.... Ils essayent de vous refiler le pire modèle correspondant à la catégorie pour vous faire payer au prix fort le passage en catégorie supérieure si refus. Une agence d’escrocs mais un bon service après-vente chez europcar france qui m’a remboursé une partie de ma loc une fois la location terminée. Décidément c’est une profession qui nécessite une refonte complète. Par ailleurs, ma carte bleue a été piratée la semaine qui a suivi l’empreinte pour la caution.

Seit Jahren mache ich die Erfahrung mit Europcar am Aeroporto: lange Wartezeiten, kein Entgegenkommen, Übergabe des Fahrzeuges im dunklen Parkdeck, jetzt wurde mir auch noch ein beschädigtes Fahrzeug angedreht, die Abdeckung des Kofferraumes war defekt, das muss bekannt gewesen sein, das Teil lag auf dem Rücksitz. Fiel mit erst später auf. Scheibenwaschanlage total hinüber und seit Jahren immer wieder kleine oder große Dinge, wie Abrechnung über Kreditkarte € 500,00 zu viel. Aber über Olimar gebucht, wird das zur Zufriedenheit von dem Anbieter geregelt, ansonsten würde ich nie Europcar in Lis in Betracht ziehen.

Atendimento e serviço péssimo. Reserva feita com opção de garantia de viatura. Conclusão: não havia viatura e mais uma vez tentam enganar o cliente com uma viatura inferior e caso quisesse viatura melhor teria de pagar mais 350€!!!! por um dia só. Falta de vontade de resolver a situação por parte do funcionário. Tive de pedir uma viatura na concorrência e no dia a fazer mais de 250km para entregar a viatura, uma vez que era uma viagem one way. A concorrência resolveu a questão em minutos e pude seguir viagem, com um preço muito inferior e com uma viatura de gama superior. Será feita queixa e pedido de compensação pelas horas perdidas e pelo dinheiro gasto nos quilómetros feitos para entregar a viatura. Moral da história: pague caro por um serviço péssimo.

45 minutes waiting period at office desk. Than another 30 minutes queue in the car park to get the car. Nobody looks after the pre damage and if you have to claim some you have to wait another 30 minutes. That's a terrible service for a premium car rental company. I am really disappointed and missed my appointment.

Сама стойка компании, как и других, находится внутри аэропорта(терминал 1). Обслуживание занимает достаточно много времени т.к. эта компания востребована. Сам авто забирают на первом этаже в соседнем здании ( с надписью "Парковка и прокат") - нужно перейти через переход и подняться на лифте.

Uma vergonha de serviço. Solicitei a quando do processo de Aluguer da viatura, que os dados de facturação da mesma fosse feito com o NIF da minha empresa ( fornecido nesse momento), e a fatura final veio endereçada em meu nome pessoal. Após várias tentativas de contacto telefónico para corrigir o lapso do sistema ou do funcionário da Europcar, fui forçado a enviar email. Email esse que obteve resposta quase 2 meses depois a argumentar que teria de pagar 15€ para corrigir um erro. DA MINHA PARTE e DA MINHA EMPRESA...NUNCA MAIS

NÃO ALUGUEM CARRO EM ESSA EMPRESA. Aluguei o carro com essa empresa a 1 semana atrás, paguei o valor de € 3.74, quando cheguei para retirar o carro disseram que não tinham um carro a gasolina e me deram um carro a diesel. Como estava com pressa peguei o carro e fui embora, para minha surpresa no dia seguinte quando cheguei para devolver tinha sido descontado do meu cartão € 10.00, questionei o atendente e ele me disse que aquilo era a taxa do diesel. Eu ate poderia pagar aquela taxa se eu tivesse solicitado um carro a diesel, so que eles estão agindo de má fé com os clientes, anunciam um valor baixo na internet, o cliente aluga e quando vão retirar o carro eles inventam que não tem o modelo, lhe dão outro "a diesel" e depois descontam umca suposta taxa 3x o valor que voce pagou no aluguel. ESSA EMPRESA É UMA VERGONHA. Fiquem atentos pois a InterRent, Europcar e GoldCar são todas do mesmo grupo. DO NOT RENT CAR AT THIS COMPANY. I rented the car with this company 1 week ago, I paid the value of € 3.74, when I arrived to pick up the car they said they did not have a gasoline car and gave me a diesel car. As I was in a hurry I picked up the car and drove away, to my surprise the next day when I arrived to return it had been discounted from my € 10.00 card, I questioned the attendant and he told me that was the diesel rate. I could even pay that fee if I had asked for a diesel car, so they are acting in bad faith with customers, they advertise a low value on the internet, the customer rents and when they go to pick up the car they make up they do not have the model , give you another "diesel" and then deduct a supposed rate of 3x the amount you paid in rent. THIS COMPANY IS A SHAME. Stay tuned since InterRent, Europcar and GoldCar are all from the same group.

we usually use Europecar, here at Lisbon airport, as it is convenient.I get the deal whereby if you return the car with a scratch on it they dont charge you for it.This is fine for me , as we drive on the left hand side here in Portugal, which requires me to put my left finger by the drivers window to remind myself that cars coming from the left at a traffic circle have priority (everything exactly opposite from South Africa where we stay!).

Fui bem atendido no posto de atendimento do aeroporto de lisboa. Tinha uma reserva e não fui atendido pois a reserva foi cancelada pois meu voo atrasou. A culpa não foi da Europcar mas acho que deveriam se esforçar mais em atender bem.

Je loue un véhicule tous les ans pour visiter ma Grand-mère à Lisbonne, l'Europcar de l'aéroport ma déçu cette année, un véhicule 9 places, à récupérer sur le parking coincé parmi les autres voitures, obligé de passer par la porte passager, collée à la berline derrière elle, j'ai entendu les plaques d'immatriculation claquer. Pas de cache valise au coffre, donc pas rassuré lors des pauses. Véhicule abîmé sur le côté. Au tableau de bord un signal indiquant un manque d'entretien ne m'a pas rassuré non plus pendant les trajets. Trou de cigarette sur le siège conducteur. Sous prétexte que j'ai opté pour l'assurance Premium, Europcar peut se permettre de vous louer un véhicule en mauvais état ?

If I could give negative stars, I would. Europcar is running a SCAM here. Employees are on commission. The higher the invoice, the more they make. I was told that the confirmed reservation for an A class Mercedes wasn't available. For an extra 50 euros per day I would be upgraded to a different Mercedes class. When I said no, the price dropped to 20 euros. After 19 hours of traveling, I didn't mind paying the 20, so I agreed. I just wanted to get to my destination. The problem with this is that, the vehicle that they gave me, was the one that I had originally reserved and confirmed. When I returned the vehicle, I went to the rental counter and informed them of the "scam". The agent at the counter tries to convince me that my A class is really a "B" class. He tells me I am wrong. He even tries to show me on his phone some pictures. I told him that I don't care what pictures he shows. The registration, insurance, and europcar's own paperwork states that it is an A class. He reluctantly adjusts my invoice. One of his colleagues asked him if it was a mistake. His answer was, in portugese "você sabe o que eles fazem", " you know what they do". He was unaware that my primary language is English, but I speak fairly decent Portuguese. He had blamed it all on the agents in the garage area, they had make a mistake. They didn't. The agents at the counter are the ones who allocate the vehicles and give out the keys. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Last week I rented a car at Lisbon aeroporto through my europcar app. I rented a fiat500 model choice. Called europcar to ask if I rent the model choice I’ll get the car that I payed for and not a similar one. They say yes. Next day get to europcar in Lisbon to pick up my car and they say that they can not promess that the car that I chose and wanted to give another one. After explaining my point of view of the situation to the lovely lady, (Raquel santos was her name) she understands and try to fix the situation the best as she can and get me an upgrade. She made my day. Overall experience: love the staff, super professional in particular Raquel, the lady that helped me with my situation. I could really see that she was worried about the service and she was giving and try do the best she could. Can’t stop saying how great she was. Avoid - Ripped off and lied to by Europcar employees. Sounds like I was also scammed as Stefan's experience. Hired a car from Europcar Porto and returned to Lisbon Airport. On dropping the car off at Lisbon airport the staff noted on the return form that the 'Documents' were missing (Car user manual). These documents were never given to us at Porto and were not in the car when we drove away. I believe they are meant to be handed over with the car keys? After explaining this to the employee he went away to speak to his manager. Five minutes later he returned and stated that it was a mistake and the documents must be in the Porto office, he assured us that we would not be charged, and told us not to worry about it. A week after returning we receive a £100 fine for missing documents. Several complaints to Europcar later and they still refuse to refund the charge. Not only do we believe we were scammed as Stefan experienced, but we were blatantly lied to by the employees. I do not recommend hiring from this Europcar office.

I'd sum up this business with one word: untrustworthy. First, as soon as I get to the airport I'm greeted by a smiling customer service representative that shares "Looks like we can upgrade your car". What would you think in this case? Per my experience with many other businesses, this suggested that they were offering an upgrade. But, ten minutes later, it was clarified that they were trying to sell me more stuff, event though I had already pre-paid online exactly to avoid wasting time. Second, after paying for the "toll pre-payment service", I still got a bill for tolls. I contacted customer service and they "would like to advise that even though you have paid for an electronic toll pass, you will still be charged for tolls" and to please look at "our Terms and Conditions". Not very interested in going through pages and pages of fine print, so no thanks! Third, I felt compelled getting the extra daily insurance because other reviews suggest they will go after your money even when these customers claimed they had nothing to do with the damage. I'd be inclined to believe the customers in this case.

Péssima experiência, não recomendo e jamais usaria novamente. Tive que pagar o seguro duas vezes e me deram um GPS que não funcionava. Apesar de saber que eles tentam empurrar adicionais e ir preparada para isso, no aeroporto de Lisboa me senti totalmente frustrada.

Agence loin d'être sérieuse et honnête. Nous sommes partis avec une voiture qui n'a pas été révisée, au bout de 3 jours les plaquettes de frein ont lâché. Nous avons du retourner à l'aéroport changer de véhicule, sachant que nous étions en vacances sur Peniche, et ils n'ont pas hésité à me facturer ce qu'il manquait d'essence. Pour moi il était hors de question de refaire le plein pour une voiture pourrie, de refaire la queue à l'agence de location, et de perdre une matinée à faire la route sur Lisbonne. Abstenez-vous

Arrivée à 23 h 15 et à 23 h 36 on quitte avec la voiture donc nickel ! Retour impeccable à 06 h 30. Pas d'attente à ces heures extrêmes. Effectivement, c'est peut-être pas la même chose aux heures de pointe. Je prends toujours un kit d'assurance complet histoire d'être complètement tranquille, surtout quand on ne maîtrise pas la langue locale avec mon anglais niveau CP.

В Лиссабоне в аэропорту в этой компании менеджеры — это мошенники. Обманули моих родителей следующим образом: Автомобиль был оплачен по интернету, стоимость за 15 дней 215 евро. На стойке регистрации менеджер предложил франшизу «0» доплатив 100 евро, они согласились. Но на самом деле 100 евро это была помощь в дороге, а франшиза «0» стоила 273 евро и была вписана в счет, но не озвученаим. Так как клиент эти деньги не платит сразу на месте, а эти деньги списываются после сдачи авто с залогового депозита, он не понимает, что платит в 4 раза больше предложенной услуги. В данной ситуации как менеджер, так и мой отец свободно говорят на испанском, поэтому недопонимание исключено, кроме этого все было написано менеджером на бумаге. Скорее всего менеджеры имеют хороший процент от проданных услуг, поэтому которые не имеют совести занимаются мошенничеством. Пусть Господь благословит всех менеджеров и их начальство которые в этом участвуют. А Вам уважаемые клиенты я не советую связываться с данной компанией, а если решили по каким-либо причинам взять у них авто на прокат будьте предельно внимательны подписывая документы и осматривая авто на наличие повреждений.

Bit of a long wait to get the keys, otherwise everything was perfect. Keys are collected in the airport. Cars are collected and dropped in the adjacent car park building which is just out the door and works really well. Europcar are big in Portugal so the set up is good. Toll Tag was usefull. Tolls were about 100 euro after two weeks. We travelled the length of the country.

Et bien sachez que la réservation annulée au mois d'Août à l'aéroport pour plus d'un mois pour un montant de plus de 1600 € car vous n'aviez plus le véhicule de disponible et vous vouliez encore nous rajouter 200 € de plus. Et bien nous sommes allées prendre une location chez SIXT juste le stand à côté pour écoutez bien même pas 500.00 € pour une AUDI A3 alors que vous vouliez nous donner une CLIO. Gardez vos merdes et arrêtez d'arnaquer les gens sous prétexte que vous travaillez directement avec les compagnies aériennes. Et vous clients ouvrez les yeux et n'hésitez pas à aller ailleurs !

Voleur voleur voleur. Attention on voyage beaucoup et c'est la première fois que je me fais avoir avec une compagnie de location comme ça. Voiture été déjà accidenté. Donc je n'ai pas pris de chance j'ai payé pour 0 déductible pour avoir l'esprit tranquille. Lorsque j'ai retourné la voiture j'ai demandé de savoir les frais de tolls (frais de passage routier). On me demande de signer sur une facture écrit dessus service routier. Donc je demande à la personne c'est quoi les frais on me dit c'est pour le service routier. Je redemande à l'intérieur de l'aéroport on me confirme la même chose. Donc je paie et c'est fini. Quelque semaine après notre retour à la maison je me fais charger 180$ sur ma carte de crédit. Et quand je demande pourquoi on m'envoie une facture pour service routier. Quand je dis que je l'ai déjà payé on me dit non ce que vous avez payer c'était pour assistance routière. Un service que j'ai jamais demander. Lorsque j'ai contester on m'a dit ah désolé vous avez signer pour ce service. Donc attention ils vont sûrement vous volez

We are frequent car rental users as we constantly have to travel. We are appalled by how we were treated at Europcar during our trip to Lisbon. The car rental fee was Euro 156 but we were charged an additional Euro 200 for an almost invisible dent on the car which was not caused by us. We spent time challenging their repair bill by giving Europcar Portugal Customer Services detailed written explanations. Then we received a few words after more than 5 weeks (though by an automatic reply they promised to get back to us in 7 days) saying “the repair bill sent is based in our LDAS List certified and validated by DEKRA”. Not even bother to tell us what they have checked nor explain what are the meanings of their abbreviations. This is just a message from us to let other fellow car users to know how Europcar ignored communications from clients and charges clients by inspecting their returned cars at a carping level. There are plenty of rental companies and we would advise anyone to avoid Europcar.

My experience was good altogether. We hired the car for 4 days and took all the insurance cover directly with Europcar. The car was in excellent conditions. The only problem was the wait of over an hour at Lisbon airport when collecting the car. This looked like a common problem also with other rentals anyway. Apart from that my experience was good. No problems to report

Warning. Even though this is an airport location they are stickers for time. Our flight arrived early. Tried getting car 30 minutes early. Waited in line and they said no. Come back in 30 minutes. Your reservation is noon. I then asked if the car was here and they said yes. I asked why? They said because I had a reservation for noon. Airport folks. People come a little early. Some come a little late. Roll with it.

Schamlose Abzocke! Wir buchten über Europcar aufgrund des großen Markennamens und der dadurch suggerierten Seriösität. Fataler Fehler! Hier wird mit System abgezockt. Die Anmietung verlief (bis auf eine sehr lange Wartezeit am Schalter) relativ problemlos. Es wird ein Übergabeprotokoll mit bereits vorhandenen Schäden am Fahrzeug erstellt. Dies allerdings handschriftlich und auf portugiesisch! Auf Nachfrage was das bedeutet wird einem fleißig versichert das alles in Ordnung ist und alle Schäden protokolliert wurden. Die Rückgabe erfolgt relativ kontaktarm, man gibt den Schlüssel einem Mitarbeiter an der Abgabestelle und geht. Da diese Mitarbeiter scheinbar alle kein Englisch sprechen können oder wollen gab es auch keinerlei Kommunikation. So weit so gut.... Oder auch nicht.... Wenige Wochen später wurde von Europcar kommentarlos ein zusätzlicher Betrag über 250€ abgebucht. Nach Nachfrage und wochenlangem Warten auf eine Antwort stellte sich heraus, dass dieser für eine fehlende Kofferraumabdeckung/Hutablage war. Dies wurde auf einem Rückgabeformular welches wir nie zu Gesicht bekommen haben vermerkt. Das dieses Teil bereits bei der Anmietung gefehlt hat, hat die freundliche Frau natürlich nicht auf ihrem Zettel vermerkt, trotz der mündlichen Bestätigung das alles I.O. sei. Ich möchte nicht wissen wie viele Leute diese fehlende Abdeckung bereits bezahlt haben. Das hat definitiv System! Wie die Sache ausgeht kann ich leider noch nicht berichten, der Vorgang geht nun erstmal zu meinem Rechtsanwalt.

Vorsicht Abzocke!! Nicht empfehlenswert !! Zuerst wollte mir der Mitarbeiter bei der Fahrzeugabholung einen größeren Wagen mit einer zusätzlichen Betrag von 20.00 €/Tag (insgesamt 160.00€!) aufschwatzen. Nachdem ich dies abgelehnt habe, hat er das Schutzpaket Premium im Vertrag aufgenommen (172.69 € ), obwohl ich am Schalter klar gesagt habe, dass ich kein Schutzpaket Premium haben möchte – wohlwissend dass ein Kunde nicht alles Kleingedruckte im Vertrag liest. Ausserdem wurde zusätzlich eine Flughafenservice-Gebühr (30.75 €) erhoben. Diese Beträge wurden meiner Kreditkarte belastet und auch nach Einspurch bei Europcar nicht zurückerstattet.

Terrible experience with this company. I DO NOT recommend them. We were charged an exorbitant “damage fee” for an internal trunk cover that never came with the car in the first place when we received it. We explained this to the receiving agent when we returned the car. He refused to believe us. We then went into the airport to discuss the situation with a person at the main airport check in. He agreed that the cover was never there in the first place and and wrote a note and signed a copy of our contract stating this. We then received our credit card bill and there was still a damage charge for the missing piece. We emailed immediately explaining the situation and requested a refund for the damage charge. We included a copy of the contract we had the agent at the airport sign and confirm in writing that the cover was never in the car in the first place. Zero response on first submission of this email. We then sent it to a different customer service email, where we received a response stating “we will look into it”. Many weeks later, nothing. If this is their approach to customer service, I’d recommend you book elsewhere. I am still hoping they can make this right; if they do, I will be happy to retract this post and advise that good customer service prevailed. Until such time, I will never rent from them again or recommend them.

3 Stunden Wartezeit trotz Reservierung. Standpersonal war freundlich und arbeitete so schnell wie möglich aber der nur 5 offene Schalter von 8 sind viel zu wenig. Einziger Vorteil: niemand hatte Zeit uns noch teure Zusatzleistungen aufzuschwatzen wie sonst in Porto oder Lissabon City. Habe Europcar über Facebook und Instagram angeschrieben und keine Antwort erhalten. Nie wieder Europcar in Portugal. Lieber ein paar Euro mehr für Hertz oder Sixt ausgeben. Da hat niemand länger als 10 Minuten gewartet.

Correct. En revanche, arrivée retardée à cause du vol, on nous donne les clefs du véhicule sans nous accompagner et nous retrouvons notre véhicule avec la carrosserie endommagé. On remonte au stand et plus personne! 1h perdue et un aller retour deux jours après pour faire constater. Dommage!

By giving the car back in Lisbon Airport we were served by a lady who tried to openly cheat my parents while seeing two older foreigner people. We fully tanked the car and i confirmed with the employee that everything is okay with fuel. Next day my parents received per e-mail a new invoice with charge for 50 liters of fuel and refueling charge. This fraud was amended by a kind employee of the booking office in Lisbon Airport after showing him all the necessary documents with the bill for the fuel which we tanked 20 minutes before giving the car back the previous day. Please, be aware that there is employee damaging company opinion in Lisbon Airport. Also Europcar forced us , without informing us about it an addicional road astistance insurance and dont want to give the money back... really bad . Also no answer for the complaint email....next time we try some small car rentals in the city. Europcar think is too powerfull to be fair to customers.

PRIX Dopé à l'arrivée (+140EUR) copie du mail env à Europcar : "Le fait est que vos homologues portugais ne parlent pas du tout français ni même anglais correctement. Là bas j'ai précisé trois fois le montant de ma réservation, même lorsqu'il m'a remis un 4x4 à la place d'une Clio SW (ce qui était précisé à la base), j'ai dis que je ne voulais pas payer plus que 239EUR. Et puis, avec une prise en charge qui dure quasiment 1h30, on a envie de quitter l'aéroport, on a envie que ça avance et votre agence là bas utilise très bien ça puisque plus ça traîne plus c'est opaque (prix changeant, véhicule changeant, acompte ou règlement complet ?...), lenteur et malhonnete puisque ma réservation clairement effectuée en ligne a complètement été modifiée et revue à l'arrivée : perte de temps, inutilité à prévoir la réservation puisque sur place on fait la queue et on refait un contrat avec un agent qui parle pas anglais. Arnaque bien ficellée, plus l'agent est incompétent, plus il feint de parler anglais, plus il fait grimper la note et vous fourvoie en parlant caution etc... on pense récupérer l'argent au retour après controle du véhicule et là : absence total d'Europcar, des salariés récupèrent le véhicule à toute vitesse et qd vous demandez "puis-je voir un commercial ou un agent parce qu'il y avait une histoire de caution on vous redirige vers l'accueil du terminal d'arrivée et bien malin car logiquement nous nous rendons au terminal de départs.... risquer de louper son vol pour 140EUR de plus .... non merci, je préfère pas mais je comprend l'arnaque et je manquerai pas d'en parler."

Insgesamt hat die Anmietung und Abgabe bei Europcar selbst gut geklappt. Aber stellt euch bei beidem auf lange Wartezeiten ein. Auch bei der Rückgabe...da kommt es selbst in der Vorsaison an nem Samstag am Mietwagenparkhaus zu langen Staus und man wartet schnell mal 30 Minuten. Die Rückgabe selbst geht dann wieder relativ schnell

Soy cliente habitual Europcar a través de empresa y los últimos tres coches alquilados me han sido entregados sucios y con problemas técnicos varios: ruedas con presión baja, poco aceite, suspensión deteriorada, etc. Todo esto junto con las colas a la recogida del coche hacen de Europcar Lisboa un servicio cliente de muy bajo nivel a precios muy altos.

The car was quite new and absolutely fantastic, and giving it back at 5:30 in the morning was quick and easy. Getting it at arrival was tough, though. Waiting at the counter for the paper work, and then waiting in the parking space for the car to get washed and delivered took all in all about 1.5 hours.

Tal não é o meu espanto quando vejo que me foi debitado o valor da tal viatura que não estava disponível. Fique muito intrigada pois no Dire eles dizem que não cobraram qualquer valor se a reserva não se confirmar. Liguei para o apoio ao cliente, é afinal de apoio não tem nada pois ninguém me resolveu a situação. Disseram que tenho de enviar um mais com a reclamação e aguardar até não sabem quando. Foram 279€ que não sei quando vão devolver. Não

Efetuei a reserva e pagamento com sucesso pela app da Europcar. Na recolha da viatura, foi-me oferecida uma nova reserva que ficaria um pouco mais em conta. O atendente disse que o estorno da reserva feita era imediato, então aceitei. O estorno nunca foi feito, e agora paguei por duas reservas. O veículo oferecido tinha perda de calibragem do pneu dianteiro esquerdo, cujos indicadores de desgaste nos sulcos já mostravam necessidade de troca. Na devolução da viatura, emitiram também o relatório acusando falha técnica durante a reserva, que por telefone disseram ser um mero erro interno e que nada será cobrado. Enfim, impossível confiar. Cada passo dado é como uma oportunidade para que tirem alguma vantagem do cliente.

No dia 6 de Janeiro tive um acidente em São João do Estoril com a viatura 64_NA_57 que se declarou culpada. Tornou-se necessário eu pedir um veículo de substituição e a declarada culpada do acidente ( segura na tranquilidade) indicou_me vós_sas excelências em Cascais. O carro fornecido foi utilizado por dois dias tendo os funcionários da Agência falado na necessidade Duma calção de 80 euros que me seriam devolvidos serca de cinco dias depois. E nada mais me foi dito , No dia 7/3/2020 recebi o talão do multibanco e verifiquei com surpresa que no dia 6 me debitaram 60,27 euros . Porgunto eu : 60 , 27 euros de quê? Chama)se aisso enrrique cimento sem causa! Se estragar pago L se não estragar pago na mesma!!! Absolutely impossible to extend my rental one day, took 8 phone calls to different departments, from the rental pick up site to the drop off site to the reservations line. We were told to call the reservations line which couldn't understand that we wanted another day and not to drop off at a different location. After all that, it was just easier to drive to the drop off site and ask for the extension. Then we were told there would be no charge for the extra day cause we had already paid for it. Two days later we were charged €45 for that extension, because of their phone operators having no idea what is going on it was easier just to leave it and not use europcar again.

Location début mars. Je suis déçu, j'ai fait l'erreur de faire confiance lors de la restitution du véhicule (il était environ 5h30 du matin) l'opérateur m'a dit que c'était ok et je n'ai pas fait signer le bon de retour. Surprise quelques jours après en recevant la facture , 30€ de frais de dossier plus 225€ de franchise pour soit disant 3 griffures sur le dessus du toit. J'ai demandé une copie du bon de contrôle , les photos avaient été prisent après que le bon a été fait et en plus on voit clairement que la voiture n'avait pas été nettoyée. Je suis certain de ne pas avoir eu d'incident pendant l'utilisation de la voiture. Entre le moment ou j'ai laissé la voiture et le moment ou le contrôle a été fait il s'est passé 2h30. Eu ía dar 5* pois a minha experiencia das duas vezes que aluguei com eles foi boa, excepto quando decidi ir pagar a segunda, o senhor levou-me o cartao de débito para o gabinete para copiar o numero para o computador... Além disso, fez o débito na moeda errada (a conta tem multiplas moedas) custando-me assim mais dinheiro do que necessário.

BETRUG UND ABZOCKE ... ich habe über Autovermietung.de für 10 Tage einen Mietwagen gebucht und bezahlt. Bei Übernahme im Airport von EUROPCAR in Lissabon wurde ich regelrecht betrogen !!! Diese Typen haben mir im Mietvertrag diverse Zusatzversicherungen angedreht ... eine Flughafen/Bahnhofgebühr nachträglich in Rechnung gestellt - Kraftstoff und Betankungs- Service, obwohl ich über Autovermietung.de bereits ordnungsgemäß bezahlt habe und das Fahrzeug mit vollem Tank abgegeben habe. Auf meine Reklamation hin haben die mir gesagt, dass zwar im Mietvertrag diese Kosten aufgeführt sind, aber natürlich nicht abgebucht werden, weil ich ja wie bereits aufgeführt den Mietwagen bezahlt habe. Dies war eine GLATTE LÜGE .... diese Typen haben mir ein paar Hundert Euro für nichts und wieder nichts abgebucht. Jetzt versuche ich den Betrag von 267,66 Euro zurück zu holen - niemand fühlt sich zuständig - Mails kommen als unzustellbar zurück - so etwas ist mir noch nie passiert - bisher bin ich immer davon ausgegangen dass diese EUROPCAR eine seriöse Firma ist - FINGER WEG VON EUROPCAR !!!

A quien tenga intención de alquilar un coche a estos le aconsejo que antes les intente presentar una reclamación. No ponen su correo electrónico en la web ni en sus propios correos electrónicos que son “no respuesta”. A través de la web te marean con las fotografías (como para asegurarse de que no eres un robot) y luego te dice que lo intentes otro día. Me hacen unos arañados en el capó mientras el coche (viejo y anteriormente dañado en la misma zona) estaba aparcado en la calle y se quedan con todo el importe del depósito (300€). No me dan factura de reparación sino factura de Europcar por importe que casualmente coincide con el del depósito de garantía. El alquiler me pareció barato. Está claro, su beneficio está en la ESTAFA

Got a car with a missing handle (inside), didn't notice until the fourth day, didnt answer when I called, they charged me ove 100€ for it. Scandalizzato da queste persone. Ho prenotato una Clio benzina ad agosto scorso e ad ottobre, il 25, hanno tentato di darmi una micra diesel con le gomme a zero battistrada... Dopo poco é comparsa la clio... Sporca, unta, sedili macchiati, 20.000 chilometri percorsi, piena di graffi e fitte, senza antenna radio, il navigatore non funziona e tutto questo per la stessa cifra pattuita per una vettura seminuova, quelle che i dealers seri noleggiano ai clienti che pagano profumatamente un noleggio.. Questo è banditismo, questo è fottersene del cliente. Se questo è fidelizzare, forse dovreste rivedere piani di lavoro e forza lavoro, ok? Finale della storia: Ultime notizie, dopo le mie proteste udite udite, dicono che indagheranno, e lo stanno facendo da mesi, e udite udite a compensazione mi hanno propinato uno sconto del 10% sul prossimo noleggio!!!! Una sola considerazione, mi arrivano mail di offerte Europcar, dove lo sconto è del 25%...... No comment!

Alugamos um veículo médio gasóleo. Ao chegar no balcão, o atendente insistiu que nossa escolha era veículo médio gasolina. Entre idas e vindas, comprovamos que se tratava de um médio gasóleo. Após isso, tentaram empurrar uma carrinha Volvo V40 gasóleo por preço maior. Tivemos de ser muito insistentes em não aceitar, pois o atendente teimava todo o tempo em aceitarmos pagando mais por isso. No balcão contratamos o serviço de portagem eletrônica. O pior ocorre agora: 9 meses depois da viagem, recebemos correspondência com várias multas por passar nas portagens sem pagar. Oras, deixamos os dados de cobrança para a Europcar, não bastava executar a cobrança no cartão? Porque agora temos de pagar multas, além do valor das portagens porque a Europcar não fez o serviço que lhes fora confiado?

We rented a car in 2019 june for 2 days. The guy at the office said the price will be 227 € with full insurance. My credit card was deducted with a sum of 327€, sent us a reciept of 227,89€ (which would be the logical cost of such a rental service) and snatched 100€ for themselves . I'd never ever chose them for a car rental service as they misleading and cannot be trusted. I'm only frustrated for not having looked this up earlier. Never rent a car from them. I'd give a rank 0 for the entire frenchise if I could.

Terrible. The payment terminals don’t work when reserving the security amount on your card - but when they offer you a extra insurance, to pay a extra fee in order to not reserve, it all of a sudden works paying. And on top of that, terrrible customerservice to a small family with baby.

Abbuchungen von der Kreditkarte noch fast drei Monate nach der Rückgabe, die nicht eindeutig begründet/belegt werden. Bei der Rückgabe gab es trotz Nachfrage kein Übergabeprotokoll ("Kommt per E-Mail", es kam nichts ...) Call Center verweist auf das Schreiben eine E-Mail, die dann nicht beantwortet werden. Berechnet wurden zum Beispiel im November 75€ für "zusätzliche Reinigungskosten", obwohl das Fahrzeug direkt vor Rückgabe Ende August ausgesaugt und durch eine Waschstraße gefahren wurde.

This is at new temporary location. NOT rental car return. Only EuropaCar is at a new location. The other rental car places are still at the permanent, well-signed locations. There are NO SIGNS pointing you to the new temporary location for Europa Car. No one to offer help. Nothing. Go to Parking Lot 3 for the NEW LOCATION! It is open air. Across from the main airport terminal. It’s also Bus Parking. After you find it, you’ll need to walk with your bags back to the terminal—across the green space. Good luck! I hope this helps someone else waste less time looping around the airport!

Nos dejaron tirados en el aeropuerto de Lisboa por la noche con un niño después de tener un coche de alquiler reservado al no aceptar nuestra tarjeta de crédito pese a cumplir todas las condiciones necesarias. Están totalmente anticuados no saben que ahora se puede usar la tarjeta de crédito a través de la aplicación de banca móvil del teléfono y que las tarjetas de crédito de plástico van a desaparecer... pónganse las pilas señores, estamos en el siglo 21. Nos causaron un grave perjuicio. No pudimos llegar a nuestro hotel y perdimos el dinero de la reserva además de tener que pagar otro hotel.

Ao abrir a porta da viatura após me ser entregue o cheiro a tabaco era de tal maneira insuportável que tive de fazer a viagem até ao meu destino (120km )com as janelas abertas e nos dias seguintes o mesmo procedimento( como não fumador é ótimo receber um carro assim!) No dia que era para entregar a viatura só andei aproximadamente 30 minutos às voltas no aeroporto á procura do sítio para devolver visto que não era no sítio habitual só tinham mudado para o parque 3 sem aviso prévio aos clientes e nem sinalética a indicar esse novo lugar para depositar a viatura

Unfortunately I cannot leave a zero on this review. After arriving at the desk at Lisbon airport to collect our car, we had to wait nearly an hour for the car to be available to drive away. Bearing in mind we had a 4 month old baby with us. On top of this, the baby chair we also hired was disgusting and completely inept for the purpose. The car itself, was dirty and not fit for purpose. We returned 2 days later to the airport as we decided to pay for an upgrade..I left my credit card details and signed authorization for tolls to be charged. 6months later I receive a debt collector letter back in the UK to pay for tolls I apparently never paid. Europcar was contacted and their lack of customer service and respect for their customers is appalling. Don't use Europcar ever. I know I won't be using them especially not in Portugal. Amateurs both at the customer delivery end as well as customer services in general. Europcar never contacted me to state that they never charged the tolls and bow I have a debt collector agency after me for the complete lack of professionalism by Europcar.

Juste des VOLEURS. Véhicule récupéré dans un parking souterrain sans état des lieux. Arrivé à destination, je vois de multiples rayures que je prend en photo. Au retour du véhicule je demande si on doit faire le tour de la voiture, on me dit que non Une heure après dans l'avion, je reçoit un état des lieux avec plein de rayures et 5500 km parcouru en 7 jours. On a juste loué une maison dans la banlieue de Lisbonne. En faisant le plein avant de la rendre j'ai mis 20 L. (pour 5500km!!!!) Il nous on prit la caution et ne veulent rien entendre NE PAS Y ALLER

Trying to return our rental car at the Lisbon Airport was very frustrating as the location was moved and there was NO signage indicating where they had moved to . We decided to drop it off upon arriving in Lisbon instead of waiting until the day of our flight. Thank goodness we did, we would have missed our flight! The rest of our experience was good.

Didn't have the best experience with Europcar at Lisbon airport. Very confusing system. On arrival we were left standing in a queue for ages until one of the customers told us we needed a ticket to be helped. The car had not been cleaned properly, it didn't smell great and the windows were still dirty and streaky. Also no clear directions when returning the car.

Awful check-in experience. Had to wait 2h in line to get my car, even though we had a reservation. How on earth does something so simple take this long? You go to the trouble of making a reservation and paying up-front, selecting exactly what you want and they still try to sell an upgrade or whatever service they are offering. I get it if you don't have a reservation, but it makes no sense if you do! Just pick any other rent-a-car company.

We hadden van te voren gereserveerd en betaald. Reden binnen 10 minuten weg in een geweldige auto. Zag er nieuw uit en reed fantastisch. Terug brengen ging ook gesmeerd. Ook nu binnen 10 minuten alles geregeld , geen gedoe achteraf.

I don’t recommend this place. We had already reserved the car online and yet we had to wait nearly 1 hour. We couldn’t have that car because we paid with a prepaid car and they needed to take the deposit from a credit car at the name of the driver. We ended making another reservation at the name of another driver. They wanted to charge us for other extras, which are very expensive.

A éviter absolument. On nous a dit de ne pas nous inquiéter du plein au retour avec la grève du carburant. En fait, on nous a vendu l'option fuel tank. Et plus fort : on doit payer une protection premium à 300€ qu'on n'a jamais voulu ni demandé ! 2 formulaires envoyés à Europcar... Sans aucune réponse. Le summum c'est que la seat Ibiza louée n'était pas trop fiable : alerte niveau d'huile, heure qui se dérègle... Bref, n'y allez pas !

The check in process was horrendous - 50 minute cue even with a priority ticket. However the price and quality of the car was exceptional. The return process was simple too. Sort the arrivals procedure out and it would be an easy 5* review.

We paid for a Volkswagen Golf or similar and was given a Renault Capture. I can't even begin to tell you how bad this car was. Obviously Europcar don't care about giving their customers good value and would rather assign sub-standard cars to their customers. I won't be using Europcar again.

Wir wollten unseren online gebuchten Mietwagen abholen, hatten jedoch keine physische Kreditkarte, sondern lediglich eine mobile Kreditkarte auf dem Handy dabei. Nachdem wir eine halbe Stunde angestanden haben (die Mitarbeiter dort haben sehr, sehr, sher viel Zeit) erklärte uns dann der Herr, dass man damit kein Auto mieten kann. Woran das liegt weiß wahrscheinlich nur er selbst, an der mangelnden Technologie liegt es allerdings nicht, denn die Kartenlesegeräte vor Ort unterstützen dies problemlos. Allerdings sind wir auch selbst dran Schuld wenn wir keine physische Karte mitbringen, was jedoch gar nicht geht, dass eine eingebildete Kollegin hinter unserem Ansprechpartner herläuft, uns anschaut irgendwas auf portugiesisch sagt und dann lacht. Was ist denn das für ein Verhalten? Unmöglich, nie wieder!

Un personnel dépassé et tout sauf agréable De plus pour un aéroport international, aucun membre du personnel ne fait l'effort de parler soit de manière assez lente et compréhensive en anglais, soit un tout petit peu en français

Wir haben unseren Wagen außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten des Schalters zurückgegeben (um 6 Uhr, Schalter öffnet erst um 6:30). Es waren Mitarbeiter in der Rückgabestation vorort, allerdings konnte kein einziger Englisch! Wir hatten noch einige Rückfragen zum Ablauf der Rückgabe, da es uns komisch erschien, den Schlüssel einfach in einen Briefkasten zu werfen. Niemand überprüfte mit uns das Auto, damit war zum Glück alles in Ordnung, aber wir hätten mit niemandem eventuelle Schäden oder aufblinkende Warnanzeigen (wenn es welche gegeben hätte) besprechen können! Finde ich ehrlich gesagt unzumutbar, gerade in einer Autovermietung sollte man zwingend Englisch sprechen können!

Inadmissibles, arrivé à l'aéroport suite à un retard de vol d'environ 55 minutes et l'agence étaient fermés malgré le fait que notre numéro de vol ai été indiqué pour la réservation et qu'il était stipulé en cas de vol retardé quelqu'un vous attendra. réservation pour une prise de véhicule à 00H15/0H30 arrivé à 1h et personne. Les autres agences de location étaient elles ouvertes. Guérin, ALAMO, etc. Du coup à presque 2h matin après avoir essayé de joindre leurs services bien sur fermé, après avoir essayer de trouver d'autres solutions et sans voiture nous avons dû prendre le premier hôtel qui avait une chambre disponible près de l'aéroport. Facture salé, début des vacances réussi Je précise mon amie es en ceinte de 5 mois je ne compte pas laisser cela passer.

First we waited over 2 hours to be helped when they told us the wait would be within an hour to pick up our reserved car. Then they gave us the key and told us where our car was and gave us paperwork that was only in Portuguese (not expected at an international airport). When returning the car, they tried to blame the existing damage on us and told us to dispute it with our card (we did; big hassle but did not pay in the end). We also noticed a bigger line for those picking up their cars and overheard that the staff was peddling their usual lies ("wait under an hour - they are overwhelmed because ten flights came in at once" which is the same story they tried to feed us). Avoid this place. Plenty of other car rental companies in booths next door.

Agence malhonnête. A la prise du véhicule, l'employée n'avait noté aucun défaut et nous avons du nous-mêmes relever les défauts un à un pour le constat. Nous sommes apparement passé à côté d'une éraflure sur une jante que l'entreprise nous a ensuite facturé 370 euros (+30 euros de service technique) - je ne rappelle pas le prix des jantes dans le commerce sur une toyota corolla... Je suppose qu'ils nous auraient également facturé les autres défauts si nous ne les avions pas signalé et qu'ils facturent à chaque locataire les dommages sur leurs voitures. Les employés se sont montrés très désagréables et dans l'intimidation. Je ne recommande pas et nous ne repasserons plus sur cette agence.

I waited to pick up the car for 2 hours. Then they told me that I can not pay highway from Lisabon to Porto with cash or card, only with some electronic device which they rented to me, which is not true but they gave me a wrong information. After that they gave me a document on Portuguese to sign which I didn`t understand. After my vacation I realised that they charged me 60 euros for some traffic assistence and some taxes which they did not mention to me. And by the way I paid full insurance to Rentalcars. At this place communicate on English but documents are on Portuguese and they know that you are in hurry and late because they didn`t gave you a car in time. I booked my car at Rentalcars and they don`t care about this scam at Europcar and do not want to help. This is mine experience with Europcar and Rentalcars. Scam.

Trotz Reservierung und Vorab-Bezahlung per Kreditkarte bei Abholung 2,5 Std. Wartezeit: Der Mitarbeiter versuchte, mir ein größeres Auto zu vermieten, das pro Tag 15 € mehr kosten würde. Begründung: komfortabler und mit Navi. Ich musste mehrmals dankend ablehnen, bevor er mir sagte, da ich Neukunde sei würde er mir ein kostenloses Upgrade schenken. Er hätte noch ein größeres Auto zu demselben Preis... Die Masche ist klar.

Mauvaise expérience avec Europcar (aéroport de Lisbonne) : - On essaie de me vendre plein d'options, dont le GPS... alors qu'il est inclus dans la voiture ! - La réception du véhicule est du grand n'importe quoi, le parking est extrêmement sombre, la personne fait l'état des lieux à la lumière... de son téléphone ! Et le véhicule est collé à un autre, donc l'arrière n'a même pas été vérifié. - Et cerise sur le gâteau : à mon retour en France, je constate que ma CB a été débitée pour un "supplément aéroport" !!! Ce dont on ne m'a évidemment jamais parlé. Donc plus jamais, fuyez ce loueur !!!

Europcar ist ein guter Anbieter für Mietwagen in Portugal. In den vergangenen 12 Tagen haben wir uns einen Mietwagen geliehen, der Service ging reibungslos. Das Auto (ein Renault Captur) war sauber, neu und mit zahlreichen elektronischen Assistenten. Außerdem hatten wir ein automatisches Mautsystem, mit welchem wir ganz einfach durch ganz Portugal fahren konnten. Auch die Rückgabe verlief ohne Verzögerungen oder Ärgernisse. Übrigens war eine Überfahrt nach Spanien (Santiago de Compostela) für einen Tag kein Problem.

Very well placed point of sale near the arrivals terminal. The wait times are absolutely catastrophic- inspire of reserving AND paying for my rental online I had to wait for 1.5 hrs just to be served. Once at the counter, it took me another 20 mins to get the keys to my rental. Somebody in Europcar’s Operations Mgmt needs to review the Customer Experience because this weakness is a massive opportunity for competitors such as Hertz and Avis who have less than half the wait times. *UPDATE* Returned my rental on 5th July and they still haven't refunded my security deposit

nous avons séjournés 2 semaines au Portugal, nous avons pris Europcar sous le nom de RENTALCAR et nous nous sommes fait avoir. 2 assurances souscrites alors quelle n'était pas désirées du coup 400 euros de plus a déboursé, le service client Europcar est très décevant on nous a promit un geste commercial et après 1 mois d'attente pas de geste commercial. They gave us a car with an empty Adblue tank. It was late and drove all the way with the constant beep. They would not let us log a complaint. We wasted a morning of a weekend waiting on assistance and then we had to pay for the Adblue! How ridiculous!

Achtung bei Upgrate werden Versicherungszahlungen fällig...und alles in einem katastrophalen Englisch. Naja, beim nächsten Besuch in Portugal wenden wir uns an hoffentlich seriösere Anbieter :-((((

É necessário ter muito cuidado com os funcionários, são falsos, enganam os clientes com a sua falsa simpatia. Quando na verificacão dos carros nem sempre assinalam todos os defeitos, alguns nem conhecem os carros. Existe pouca luminosidade no sítio da verificacão dos danos. Facilmente negligenciam detalhes importantes como a presença de colete refletor ou kit de reparação.

If you need a car in a hurry you will be disappointed. Extremely slow (about 2h to get your car- if you have a reservation) Staff tried their best, but still not adequate to what you are paying for. Keep it mind long wait when you are planning your journey.

Wartezeit am Vormittag ca. 1h, dann saßen wir schon im (bereits reservierten) PKW. Bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade (Diesel mit Automatik). Das Auto verlangte allerdings nach einer AdBlue-Nachfüllung. Ansonsten keine Probleme.

Nie wieder Europcar! Man wird hier nur übers Ohr gehauen. Es herrschen chaotische Zustände an den Schaltern. Nach zwei Stunden Wartezeit gab man uns den Wagen nicht, den wir reserviert hatten, obwohl, wie sich danach herausstellte, noch viele dieser Art im Parkhaus standen. Aber das Frechste war, dass man uns zusätzliche Leistungen angedreht hat, die wir gar nicht wollten. So kam es, dass zu der schon bezahlten Gebühr für den Wagen noch einmal soviel für Versicherungen und dergleichen berechnet wurde. Und dies, ohne dass wir davon wussten. Man liess uns den Vertrag schnell unterschreiben, was wir auch taten, da ja noch viele Leute nach uns darauf warteten bedient zu werden. Als Schweizer sind wir für alles versichert, wir brauchen keine zusätzlichen Versicherungen. Was da abgelaufen ist, ist einfach nur eine Frechheit. Dass Europcar es nötig hat, mit derart billigen Mitteln den Umsatz zu steigern wirft doch ein schlechtes Licht auf dieses Unternehmen. Wir werden jedenfalls in Zukunft einen anderen Anbieter Wählen.

ça sent un peu l'arnaque! j'ai réservé une seat ibiza que je jugeais(places assises et coffre) suffisante pour 4 personnes. au guichet on m'a indiqué qu'il n'y avait pas d'ibiza et qu'on m'attribuait une star mitsubishi (l'équivalent le plus pourri dans la catégorie)où il était évident que tout ne rentrerait pas.Au vue de ma désapprobation la personne du guichet m'a proposé un qashqai pour 40 euro de plus ;sympa le gars..!!!!!. Seulement que : dans le stress de l'arrivée, la queue qui attend derrière , le bruit et la barrière de la langue plus ou moins bien maitrisée le gentil Monsieur a oublié de me préciser que c'était 40 euro ht et par jour soit pour 4 jours de location un supplément de 200 euro à rajouter à une location de 85 euro pour l'ibiza (je reconnais que c'était bien inscrit en micro caractère sur la facture qui m'a été remise et que je n'avais qu'à lire) Je sais que je suis un peu niais de croire à un surclassement ibiza/quasqai pour 40 euro mais après tout je pensais que les gestes commerciaux existaient encore. Une enseigne correcte aurait je pense pu me proposer un véhicule catégorie juste supérieure (ford escort c élysée citroen) dont les prix sont très légèrement plus cher que l'ibiza J'ai l'impression malsaine quel le personnel est bien formé pour flairer le touriste susceptible de se faire avoir Chat échaudé craint l'eau froide....... ou Honteux et confus, jura, mais un peu tard, qu'on ne l'y prendrait plus.

Atendimento rápido e eficiente, só não gostei que só percebi depois que colocarão o seguro completo, por incrível que pareça, o seguro é maior que o valor da reserva, isso me deixou bastante chateado, uma pena que só vi depois, porém com isso, dificilmente alugarei novamente na mesma empresa.
