Kundenunfreundlich, schlechter Service. Wir mieteten einen Kleinwagen für schmale Straßen in den Bergen und bekamen einen Bus für 8 Personen. Sie hätten unseren Wagen bereits verliehen und laut Vertrag könne man uns upgraden, nur nicht downgraden. Nach langer Diskussion mussten wir eine Tour in den Bergen aufgrund des Fahrzeuges, das eine Spritschleuder war, ausfallen lassen.

La macchina è stata noleggiata tramite rentalcars con una copertura totale ma l addetto ci ha risposto che per loro non era assicurata. Ci hanno consegnato un auto strisciata e lavata in fretta e furia. Sconsigliato

Atendimento super rápido. Faça a pré reserva antes via internet para agilizar o seu atendimento. Para Brasileiros, é necessário apenas apresentar passaporte e carteira de habilitação. Sugiro alugar carro sem franquia, para não ter imprevistos na viagem. A franquia normal custa 2100 euros, o que pode tornar qualquer imprevisto um grande transtorno.

Location prise par l'intermédiaire d'Autoescape , budget â débité les frais de retour du véhicule rendu à Faro de 123€ supplémentaire alors que ce retour été mentionné à 0€ sur le contrat d'autoescape. Un deuxième retrait sur notre compte à été fait par Budget d' un montant de 34,25 €quelques jours plus tard. Après réclamation près d'Autoescape les remboursements ont été effectués, parcontre malgré des mails effectués au service SAV de Budget / avis je n'ai eu aucune réponse et donc aucune explication. Parcontre Merci AUTOESCAPE qui à assurer les remboursements. Je crois que cette agence Budget fait des retraits qui frise l'escroquerie. Conseil méfiez-vous de cette agence.

Très déçue de la politique commerciale d'Avis. En effet, nous sommes arrivés à Lisbonne et malencontreusement aussitôt descendus de l'avion, nous nous sommes faits volés le portefeuille contenant permis, carte bleue et carte d'identité. Nous nous sommes déplacés à l'agence et avons alerté deux jours avant le jour de location notre situation. Ils nous ont expliqué qu'il n'était plus possible de louer le véhicule n'ayant plus les papiers ayant servi à la réservation, ce que nous avons naturellement compris (malgré que nous avions un deuxième conducteur avec son permis mais sans non plus la carte d'identité). Nous avons sollicité la direction d'Avis en justifiant le vol pour avoir un geste ou un minimum de remboursement, nous n'avions rien eu. Regrettable...

Absolutely furious with the service experienced here. It took 2.5 hrs to get our car. The delay was a combination of 'system issues', being under staffed and having either an incompetent process or inefficient staff (I couldn't figure out which one it was, maybe both). When I complained, the person serving me took zero ownership for the delay and instead immediately said 'its not my fault'. The manager wasn't much better. He originally blamed us for being 'late' to pick up the car and tried to justify the delay by saying that they had served 12 customers in 2 hours (as if that was some kind of achievement). When my boyfriend pointed out that that meant they took appox. 30 mins per customer to process paperwork for pre-booked cars, he eventually conceded that they were having system issues and that it would usually take 10 mins. When we eventually got our paperwork, we were told to go outside and give it to a staff member who would collect our car for us. We were then told it would take 15 mins to get our car as it hadn't been cleaned. This seemed to be common practice as the same had happened to other customers around us. Not good enough Avis. I won't be back.

Caríssima!!!! Alugamos um carro com 2 meses de antecedência. Foram tantos os acréscimos devido seguro, taxas...etc... que pagamos novamente o mesmo valor. Era R$ 2.500,00 no final ficou em 5.000 . Na próxima usaremos o trem!!!!

Overall good rental experience. However, they didnt send me a break down of the toll charges when I was charged. It was higher than I expected. I confirmed with them that I would get a receipts of tolls when I returned that car. They dont respond to emails or pick up the phone.

The rental started well as we picked it up and dropped it off smoothly. The day we picked it up we were informed about a device for tolls 2 euros per day. this would mean that we would have to avoid paying the tolls (at least thats what they told us.) Three weeks later I got a charge on my credit card for a random amount by Avis. I called them as I was extremely confused why they would charge me without notifying me and also I had already paid the whole amount they had told me I owed. turns out that this amount was the total use of tolls I had during my trip. I argued that this was not what they had explained and that this amount was nowhere in the receipt or the contract. we were extremely misinformed and would never rent with Avis again because they think its okay if they just charge me a random amount (one which I did not agree with in the contract) three weeks after the car rental.

After being confirmed a reservation for 18:00 on a Friday I was not allowed in at that time (they did not pick up the phone in the hour previous). I was told to come back the following day at 9 am, only to be told I could not get a car because it had to be picked up the previous day. Appealing service, rude, inconsiderate. a company that deserves going under. Will never work with them again. Ps. It got better. The car I was given was broken. Support sent a tow car but not a taxi. After calling four times and waiting over four hours, was eventually informed that they had forgotten to send the taxi.

Budget/Avis - Very friendly and helpful staff. I got an upgrade for free and the car was brand new and pristine clean. The whole rental experience was very positive and I didn’t have any issue with the fuel deposit amount reserved on my card at the counter when I took the car out (I returned the car with a full tank so the deposit wasn’t charged). Drive safely !

Locadora picareta e de serviço lamentável. Aceitaram meu cartão para a reserva, porém não aceitaram no momento de buscar o automóvel. O preço do aluguer era de 20 euros e me cobraram 60 euros no cartão por não ter saído com o carro, que eles mesmos me impediram de fazer. Não conseguem cobrar um valor de 20 para fazer o levantamento mas conseguem cobrar 60, nunca vi uma prática mais absurda e picareta.

Avoid at all cost, they have a systematic scheme to defraud your credit card, and Avis Portugal is covering them, so they must benefit from the fraud !!! There are better option to rent a car in Lisbon try SIX . I got 3, 49$ charges from them, more than 6 months after my last rental , and all this ,after they try to steal almost 400 usd from me by intentionally overcharging 400$ for an extra rental day, Avis Portugal are taking advantage of the explosion of tourism in Portugal, they should be investigated ! I went to the police at the airport where an officer told me they new about the fraud but could not do anything !!!!

Scams and lies. I don’t recommend! We've been given an upgraded car and were promised it would be at no extra cost. On the contract we signed it mentioned an amount that was not agreed to. However, the lady who sorted out the car for us, said, it would be refunded if the car was returned without damage and filled with fuel. When we returned the car undamaged and full, the same person told us we would not get any money back and she never said we would. So we ended up paying twice the amount we originally booked the car for. Never again.

Je ne croyais pas qu'on pouvait se faire arnaquer par une compagnie comme AVIS, eh bien OUI c'est possible ICI ! Ils ont votre numéro de carte de crédit? Alors ils se servent dans le plat de bonbons, à répétition, et la seule façon de les joindre c'est par téléphone (et mon portugais est plutôt nul!) Au moins vous le saurez, ne vous plaignez pas après vous être fait avoir!

Rarement vu une agence aussi peu professionnel et arnaque ses clients en plus. Déjà les heures d’ouverture ne sont pas les bonnes sur internet et sur le site donc un conseil ne commander pas une voiture un samedi !! De plus on nous laisse pas le choix de prendre le système de péage au Portugal (viaverde) qui nous coûte 16e alors qu’il est tout à fait possible de conduire sur autoroute sans. Enfin nous voulions prendre un jour de plus, le monsieur au téléphone nous dis qu’il faudra payer 20euros. Nous demandons un reçu par email mais il nous assure que tout est ok que nous avons pas à nous inquiéter. Nous serons finalement facturé 35e! Quand nous expliquons tout cela au responsable lorsque nous déposons la voiture, il nous dis que nous avons sûrement mal compris et que c’est comme ça. Ce n’est pas de payer une certaine somme le problème c’est de payer plus que le prix annoncer qui est agaçant. Rien à ajouter

J'ai choisi Avis car cette enseigne est connue pour son sérieux en France, mais au Portugal on a l'impression de se faire arnaquer car même s'il connaissent peu le français, il le comprennent mieux que ce qu'ils nous font croire. Il m'a donc été difficile de faire marquer sur la feuille tout les points de carrosserie abîmés. surtout prenez des photos avant votre départ. (la Fiat Punto de 39000km était en plus mauvais état que ma voiture personnelles qui a 180000km)

Nuestra experiencia con Avis fue mala. En primer lugar no nos dieron el coche que elegimos en la web. No sabemos el motivo pero el caso es que en el último momento decidieron darnos un coche diferente. Aparte de eso, el motivo real por el que no recomiendo a nadie alquilar un coche con Avis es que, en el contrato que firmamos decía que si nos demorábamos en la hora de entrega teníamos que avisar y se nos concedería una prórroga. 20 minutos antes de la hora de entrega llamamos varias veces a varios teléfonos que nos facilitaron para avisar de que nos íbamos a retrasar un poco. Nade respondió nunca. Cuando llegamos al punto de entrega, 10 minutos después de la hora prevista, la oficina de Avis estaba cerrada puesto que era el descanso para comer. Allí nos quedamos, durante 2 horas esperando a que volvieran, pagando un parquímetro, puesto que no había nadie para atendernos y guardar el vehículo. A las 2 horas volvió el personal y nos dijeron que nos pondrían una sanción por entregarlo tarde. Decían que habíamos excedido las 2h de margen que dan. Explicamos que en primer lugar habíamos llamado para avisar de los 10 minutos de demora pero que nadie dio respuesta, y en segundo lugar la hora de su descanso no debería perjudicarnos a nosotros. No hubo forma. Nos cobraron como un día más de coche por haber estado esperando a que volvieran de comer. Me parece muy injusto… No lo recomiendo a nadie.

Das aller letzte. Wir haben kein Auto bekommen weil die Kreditkarte nicht auf den Fahrer lief. Leider waren die Mitarbeiter vor Ort auch nicht in der Lage die Reservierung zu ändern oder zu stornieren. Die hatten keine Lust ein Auto zu vermieten. Sind mit dem Zug gefahren.

BAD: 1) Extra charges additionally to the web reservation (vat, taxes, etc.) In any case something they will charge when you return the car. 2) You don't know the car you will drive until you come (my case: I asked for Toyota CHR and they gave me Toyota Corolla - long family car not adequate for travelling in Portugal with difficulties for parking and a lot of curves, the employee didn't even try to find more options to offer) 3) Receive/Return Car limited to office schedule, the only one 24h office is the airport and they will charge you for returning it there GOOD: 1) Paper work was fast 2) Car in exceptionally good condition 3) They explain you all extra charges (THIS SHOULD BE DONE AT RESERVATION time) 4) Competitive price

Unfortunately the good reputation of AVIS did not apply in our case. The receptionist gave the impression of him not enjoying his job very much.In our opinion he would have been better off picking one without the necessity of human contact. Apparently the toll device of 69 Euro was compulsory to pay, which was not pointed out during our booking- therefore unplanned costs which were not communicated applied. On the way back to the hand in we called to notice them we might be 1hour late due to the countrywide shortages and waiting times for petrol. Their reply was not empathetic at all, since they wanted us to pay an extra day that would have been twice the price of our original daily fare. We were glad making it in time despite our worries, since giving them more money would have been contributed to a customer service that clearly lacks a minimum of customer oriented quality standards.

Car pickup and return was smooth and easy as it only took minutes. The staff was friendly and spoke good English. I had prepaid online for a Volvo but was disappointed I got a Citroen model instead. I only needed the car for a day trip to Sintra and the car got me to my destination and back. The car was clean and drove well.

Very good rental experience. Pickup was fast and smooth, return even easier. Car was clean and in good shape, although a few more km than you would expect on a rental (42k), this was no issue though. As always make sure to check for pre existing damages during pickup. The car I picked up had quite a few dents and scratches. One of their employees helped me document all of them during pickup and all was fine when I returned the vehicle, and I had not opted for any additional insurance. If you have reserved online and are planning to drive on toll roads in Portugal, they recommend a special device with RFID that bills and toll charges to your credit card automatically. Rental cost for the device is low, I believe ~2 eur per day but max 20 eur per rental. If you don't want hassle paying toll at post offices this is a useful add on.

Diesem Autovermietungsbüro ist wirklich nicht zu empfehlen! Finger weg von diesem Autovermieter! Hier werden Kunden gnadenlos abgezockt!!! Ahnungslos und bedrängt vom AVIS-Mitarbeiter (Hr. Fabio!) und mit dem Argument, dass wir über den Autovermittler (Broker) nur einen Basis-Mietvertrag abschließen, wurden uns mangels Hilflosigkeit eine separate zusätzliche AVIS-Versicherung aufgesetzt, die wir nach späterer Rückfrage beim Vermieter normalerweise nicht benötigen. Hier werden Kunden in seiner hilflosen Situation ausgenutzt, übergangen und beabsichtigt abgezockt. Dessen Mitarbeiter (Hr. Fabio) war gar lautstark, als ich mich weigerte zu unterschreiben!!! Fairness, offen und freundl. Kundenumgang habe ich erwartet, stattdessen nur maßlose Ärgernisse und Enttäuschung. Nehmt Euch bitte in Acht, wenn Ihr bei diesem Autovermieter ein Fahrzeug abholt....

Cliente da Avis há mais de 20 anos, fui vitima hoje, dia 23/02/2017 pelas 14 horas, de lastimável e desrespeitoso atendimento por parte do atendente Fábio e o supervisor presente. Quero manifestar o meu mais veemente repudio. Vou-me reportar a direção da Avis em Portugal

Hartnäckig zu versuchen, mir eine C-Klasse anzudrehen, obwohl ich einen Peugeot 208 reserviert hatte, ist dann doch eher dummdreist. Als ich das dann hinter mir hatte, war der Peugeot dann allerdings in gepflegtem Zustand.

Accessible but be aware there are some roadworks nearby. Staff is helpful but tries to sell a higher coverage. Just avoid that up selling and you'll be fine.
