Fantastic staff and property. We were very well looked after with everything we could possibly need for a 4 month old baby.

Waren mit unseren Zwillingen dort. Super Lage. Alles in der Nähe. Hat sogar einen "Kindergarten" bei dem man sein Kind abgeben kann. Grosse und schöne Zummer. Kleines aber gutes Frühstück. Hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Waren das erste Mal in Lisabon/ Martinhal und jederzeit wieder. Beim Frühstück gib es auch die super lecketen Pastais de Nata...

Loved everything about this hotel, especially the fact that they dont nickel and dime you about food. We were often too late for breakfast from sleeping in or too early because of an excursion, and they helped us so much by packing our breakfasts for us to eat in the room or on the road. They are so accommodating to kids and families - one of the most family friendly, high quality and supreme service boutique experiences weve ever had. Shout out to Rita at the front desk and the breakfast staff who are wonderful!

We had a drink in the bar/restaurant. Tastefully decorated. Great choice is you need a break from the busy, touristy streets.

We stayed for the first time in Martinhal Chiado March 2019 having decided that its child orientated attitude suited us very well with our 18month old, we had already booked Martinhal Sagres for later in the year so when we say this site in Lisbon we thought why not. Price wise its certainly not the cheapest but the value for money seems to be there. The hotel is located in Chiado a central area of Lisbon easily accessible with lots to do nearby. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who helped us with our bags and check in and brough us to our room, a Deluxe Studio (501) which was on the top floor. It was bigger then we expected with the Kitchen located in a seperate room which was ideal. Located on the top floor the ceiling is all funny angles making the useable space limited but the feeling of a large space. the Bed was very large and comfortable with lovely memory foam pillows, the kitchen was extreemly well equipped with just about anything you would need there to cook a full dinner if you chose to do so! The bathroom was a little bit cramped in my opinion but workable. A cot and baby equipment including a nappy bin were all ready for us to arrive along with plastic plates / cups and child friendly cuttlery... also provided was a nice free welcome board with snacks / water / milk etc... and a nespresso machine with some free pods. The breakfast was ok. I think this is where the service falls apart just a touch... Cafe M the hotel Restuarant / Bar is not done well in my opinion, menu options are limited, especially for smallies with just 5 things to choose from and some of those just a mild variation on each other ie salmon with rice or chicken with rice. At breakfast it wasnt quite clear what was included but the staff were pleasent and helpful. What is a REALLY nice touch is you can order breakfast to your room free of charge which we did for the remainder of our stay. We had booked babysitting on 2 nights of our stay but alas on the first night our son was a little off form... we sent the baby sitter away and had to pay for the full 3 hours which was a sting in the tail... I could certainly understand a charge but the full amount hurt a bit. The baby sitter was friendly as can be though and it was not her fault... we should have asked her to return in an hour but we were a bit flustered. The second nights baby sitting went well with the same baby sitter it went without a hitch. We never got to use the kids club as we were busy each day but it seems very well setup, and also available is the playroom which we brought our son to several times and he was quite happy to play in there. On our last day checkout was straight forward and they kept our bags until later, we also were able to make use of the play room later that day (and changing facilities) while waiting for our Uber to the airport. Overall I liked the place alot, nice decor nice staff nice location.. price is a touch higher (especially in peak when youd have to pay for the kids club!) but im certainly looking forward to our visit to Sagres later in the year even more now :) Thanks,

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern 1&3 Jahren dort und unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Super freundlicher Service super Kinderlieb und vor allem der Kinderbereich und die Betreuung waren Wahnsinn. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen ebenso die Zimmer waren schwer in Ordnung. Ideal für einen City Trip in Lissabon, da es sehr zentral gelegen ist. Ein paar Schritte und man ist an der bekannten Straßenbahn Linie 28 in der wir jedes Mal einen Sitzplatz mit den beiden Zwergen bekommen haben. Direkt an der Station ist ein Kiosk mit einem wahnsinnsleckeren Schokoladen Kuchen.Auch kurzer Weg zu Fuß und man ist an der Fährestation, um zur Christus Statur zu kommen. Direkt an der Markthalle und an der Haltestelle vom Bus - eine Richting Beleem und in die andere Richtung fährt er direkt bis zum Aquarium und dem atemberaubend Kinder-Science-Museum. Super auch schon für die kleinen Zwerge, ohne Kinder ist es nur bedingt spannend. Auch die Seilbahn direkt um die Ecke hat unseren Mäusen gefallen. Insgesamt kann ich mir kein besseres Hotel vorstellen, um die Stadt zu erkunden. Abends haben wir 2 min fußläuftig in einem tollen Restaurant zu Abend gegessen wärend unsere Mäuse im Pyjama Club Spaß hatten. Alle kamen auf ihre Kosten - so macht Reisen sehr viel Spaß. So viele tolle kinderfreundliche Tips habe ich auch noch nie an einer Rezeption bekommen und vor allem die Buggy- Tauglichkeit Tips der ausgewählten Strecke waren spitze, da ein Kinderwagen nicht überall geeignete ist.

Kids club was extremely well run and available 12 hours a day. My son did not want to leave it he had so much fun.Self catering apartments with washer dryer in unit was very handy.Central Lisbon location.

We stayed for almost a week and can not say enough amazing things about this place. The hotel is absolutely amazing for families and has everything you may possibly need. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and they are very knowledgeable if you need recommendations. Special shout out to Rita at the front desk who went above and beyond every day to make us feel at home. The kids club is wonderful and our 4 year old twin girls did not want to leave. We literally had to drag them out of the kids club to go sightseeing they would have been perfectly happy to just stay there all day! Special shout out to Johny at the kids club who my kids could not get enough of and he was so sweet and kind they actually asked if we could take hime home : ) The location of the hotel is amazing its close to a major train station that takes you to Cascais and also walking distance to many amazing shops and restaurants and the Time Out Market. Overall we loved it and would absolutely come back next time were in Lisbon!

It's not a top ratio just because it's a family hotel.. That's their business, nothing against. Fabulous hotel in Lisbon City centre.. Incredible, beautiful and big rooms. Large variety of amenities for children. Restaurant it's not good...average food, highly priced. Better to stay in Hotel and eat outside, plenty of offer In restaurants. Changed my review to 4 stars, after experiencing other hotels that suited me as examples.

Great spacious apartments for families in perfect location in lovely Chiado area of Lisbon. Massive living room. Bedrooms fine. Bathrooms and showers rather small and basic.

This is a concept that I wish would travel across the ocean. We stayed here for 3 nights with out family of four. We were in a room (apt) with a kitchen, washer, and every amenity a toddler could need. The location was also great in the heart of Lisbon and the playroom and babysitters were the icing on the cake.Would highly recommend to any family traveling.

The staff were incredibly good and welcoming. The facilities were top notch and it is a really nice touch to have coffee, juice, milk and cookies in the room. The kids had a ball and it is very central.I cant wait to go back.

Excellent hotel for families in a perfect location. We were travelling as a family (my wife, our 8 month old son and myself). We had a large room with all the necessary equipment (baby bed, changing table, etc). Everything you need for children is available. The babysitting service is fantastic to allow parents to enjoy the nightlife of Lisbon. And the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful hotel that caters to families. One of the best staffs we’ve come across and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It included a terrific breakfast. We highly recommend Martinhal!

What an excellent place! We did not want to leave. If you have young kids but still enjoy boutique hotels this is the place for you. They have considered every need a family might have: from high chairs to bunk beds, changing pads, bottle warmers, etc. a kid center where you can leave your kids all day and babysitting services on top of that. The restaurant was perfect and really every single detail of the hotel was perfect. I am not easily satisfied so the fact that I loved everything about this hotel says a lot I could. I could not find any faults. Also the location was perfect close to the train station for day trips to Sintra and CASCAIS and also the time out market, the number 28 tram and so much more!

We had a fabulous stay which could not have been better thanks to the wonderful staff and facilities at the hotel. We felt comfortable leaving our kids with the child care at all times, which really helped make our stay and vacation much more enjoyable. Thanks and keep up the great work!

The restaurant/cafe is a wonderful place to take you children. There is a table on the back and some toys where the children can make drawings and play safely and a small car on the front for them to play. Employees are very attentive with the children and prices reasonable taking in account the space.

Popped in for breakfast as the inside and outside looked clean, tidy and inviting. What a let down. I asked for poached egg as advertised and that’s exactly what I got - 1 poached egg which looked more like scrambled on a plate. My friend asked for toast and got a roll halfed with butter already on and a pot of jam - €1.20 for the butter and another €1.20 for the jam!! Very expensive for not a lot and average service. Might have caught them on a bad day however in the hospitality industry they seriously need to improve the service and how they present it.

Overall experience was ok . It was not what we were expecting it to be . It’s not at all 5 star comfort for the price they are charging

Durch die zentrale Lage konnte man alles sehr gut zu Fuss erkunden. Wer trotzdem auf oeffentliche Verkehrsmittel zurueckgreifen moechte der hat in unmittelbahrer Naehe U-Bahnstation,Zugstation und Schiffshafen.Das Hotel ist sehr familienfreundlich: riesiges Spielzimmer mit Betreuung.Die Zimmer sind ueberdurchschnittlich gross und bestens ausgestattet.4 Herdplatten, Backofen, Mikrowelle,Geschirrspuehler,Wachmaschine und zu guter letzt eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine!In einem riesigen Bett konnte man sehr gut schlafen, leider wurde die Nacht am Wochenende etwas gestoehrt, durch groehlende Partygaeste auf der Strasse.(einziges Manko dieses Hotel,die Fenster)Die Fenster konnte man auch nicht oeffnen, trotzdem ein gutes Raumklima.Das Hotel wuerden wir immer wieder gerne besuchen und auch unseren Freunden weiterempfehlen.

Unser Aufenthalt in Martinhal Chiado war wunderbar! Das Hotel liegt super zentral in Lissabon City (in einer Nebenstraße). Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, unzählige Geschäfte und Restaurants sind in Kürze zu erreichen. Am Ende der Strasse fährt die berühmte Eléctrico Nr. 28 die engen Gassen hoch und runter. Die nächste Metro ist in weniger als 5min zu erreichen. Das Frühstück ist super lecker (alle Eierspeisen und Kaffeespezialitäten werden frisch zubereitet). Das Service Personal ist um alles bemüht, extrem zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit in allen Dingen und sehr freundlich (kinderlieb). Man bekommt jede Menge Tipps und wir durften sogar im 30km entfernten Partnerhotel Cascai den Pool und den Spa kostenfrei nutzen! Klasse Service! Wir werden wieder in Martinhal buchen!

Nice cafe. Immaculately clean. The classic old bmw bubble car is a treat for children to climb into and pretend they are driving. Real towels and flowers in the loos.

We loved the location right in the centre of Lisbon since we could walk almost everywhere - up and down the 7 hills. Our kids really enjoyed the kids club to the extent that they didnt want to come with us for dinner anymore. ☺️ One detail tbat could be improved: we would have appreciated if the cleaning stuff would come a bit earlier since we like to take nap after lunches when on holiday. But not a big issue. All in all a fantastic hotel with great people!

An absolutely amazing experience. With two little girls, age 4 and 2, we could not have dreamed of a better stay thank our 3 nights at Martinhal. The staff are incredible. The amenities are perfect for young families. By entering information online in an easy to use manner, we ordered items like a kids toilet stool and video baby monitor... everything was ready and waiting for us. The breakfasts were just perfect. The kids club and babysitting services were so good. We never planned on leaving our kids but the girls loved the kids club... my wife and I had two evenings to go out alone... heaven! The location is prime. We loved Lisbon and will really miss the martinhal team. Any hotel with kids will be a downgrade from the Martinhal excellence. Every single staff member treated us like royalty. Thank you so much Martinhal!

Very cool place to stay. We didnt take advantage of the Kids Club or babysitting but it looked great.

I can only wish that every city had a hotel like the Martinhal Chiado Family Suites. For young families, this concept is brilliant. Plenty of space of the entire family and brilliantly executed by the team at the hotel.

Excelentes apartamentos pensados para familias, con todas las comodidades y una atención del personal realmente de cinco estrellas. Todo está muy nuevo y en un excelente estado de conservación, y hasta los pequeños detalles piensan en familias con niños. Se agradece que existan alojamientos de este tipo. Adicionalmente la ubicación es excepcional dentro de Lisboa, así que es muy recomendable.

Sitio casi a estrenar! El personal increíblemente amable y servicial. Los apartamentos de lujo. La ubicación espectacular (en todo el Chiado, pero calle tranquila). Tiene un pequeño parking. Volveremos!

Bottom line up front: All hotels  (not just family ones) should emulate the service, prefessionalism, and style of Martinhal Chiado Family Suites Hotel. Even prior to my family's arrival the concierge team was responsive and helpful with questions about our stay and the area via email. Upon arrival Paulo greeted us at the door and a kid club team member gave us a tour of the kid and baby club. The kid club has toys, a projector with large screen, & a crafts section. The baby club has toys, large bean bags, a tent, and a peaceful ambiance. The hotel is minutes walk from the river and serene lapping waves and the hustle of the Chiado shopping area, but perfectly set away from heavy foot traffic.  Victor gave us a tour of the hotel explaining the security in place and showed us our single room deluxe suite. This room had all the bells and whistle from a stocked kitchenette, a washer/dryer combo machine, bunk beds in a living room with child safe furniture, a crib/playpen we requested and even potty seats and chairs with a stool in the bathroom (I didn't even think of that necessity myself). My 3 yr old son was the only child in the kids club for 3 days because we stayed during mid-low season and he loved it. He didn't want to leave each time we came to pick him up and he always had some type of craft he had done that day. The team were the kindest people and I can not say enough great things about them but specifically Bruna was the light of the childcare team. She is competent, professional, and a sweetheart. I wish I could take her back home with me as a nanny! Every bit of my experience with this hotel was a pleasure and every staff member a jewel. Including Ricardo and Felipe in the hotel's M bar café.
