The photos don't do the hotel justice. It's a stunning location. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The welcoming cocktail was a nice touch. Breakfast was included and had a decent selection. We had dinner on site the first night to keep things simple, but the meal was anything but. Highly recommend the octopus carpaccio. The room was fab (all have ocean views). The shower was spacious. The large bed faces the roomy balcony which overlooks the ocean. Leave the curtains open for the sun to wake you up. The only minor, minor complaint about the room is that the balcony door does not close from the outside, so you have to leave it at least slightly ajar if you're on the balcony. No bugs flew in, though, so not a huge deal. The hotel is not walkable to the Lagos town center, but is a short drive. There are a few locations with free parking, but pay parking was pretty cheap the one time we used a garage. We took a taxi one night because we wanted to drink. It only cost 10 Euros.

As we we only passing by the resort it is difficult to comment but if you are a golpher could be great. Newish Palmares complex still being developed to be one of the Algarves better courses. Currently has a 27 hole capability.

This boutique hotel is fabulous. The bedrooms overlook the golf course and the sea. The staff are lovely and nothing us too much for them. I highly recommend a stay at the Onyria Palmares Beach Hotel.

Modern Hotel & Golf course on a hillside just outside Lagos overlooking the Sea.Large room with Lanai style balcony with a view of both the Sea and Golf course.Very good restaurant (best to book) and a variety of options for breakfast.Staff all friendly and efficient.

Great location, fantastic view from your bed full sea view, staff very helpful always willing to help you. We live in Portugal and needed a relaxing battery charge. Well it was well worth it. We opted for breakfast in the room as didnt want to rush and wasnt disappointed. If you play golf or want a relaxing time I would certainly recommend this hotel. We will certainly be here again.

Beautiful golf resort with hotel overlooking part of golf course and a full 180 view of the coast near Lagos. Restaurant was first class! Breakfast included our own platters of fruit, cheese, and meats. Eggs were cooked any way we wanted. Loved sitting on the deck outside the restaurant in the sun. Our room was perfect! It was so nice to relax on the sofa or on the deck outside our room.

We stayed here in this lovely golf hotel in December. It features big modern rooms with a grand view from the terrace! The hotel is kinda hidden /off track and the road is a little narrow and not lighted at some parts. The reception is very friendly and showed us to the room and explained all the features of the room. The breakfast was okay, but not so much variety. Here is still room for improvement. We didn't play golf, so can't review the course. Definitely worth a stay!

Arrived very late, but the lady at reception gave us a warm welcome. She accompanied us to our room and a bit later we got some candies :-) Lovely view (even at night) with all the boats at sea (it was 1 November). Big room, very nice terrace! Expected more of the breakfast (a bit more choice). This is a golf-resort style hotel, but you are just as welcome if you don't golf. Very quiet. Slept very good! About 10 minutes from Lagos, but road is narrow at certain parts, so be careful at night ...

Gold, golf and more golf.. let down by the locals wandering around the course collecting lost balls to re-sell, cheapened it

Nice property in a very quiet and peaceful area (despite the construction of villas nearby). Only 20 rooms so never felt crowded even at busy breakfast times. Service is good, staff very friendly and polite. It is clean, though more attention should be paid to the floors in bathrooms, the dining room and the sofas/seats in reception area.Snack food we had the first night was overpriced and lacked flavour so did not try dinner. The breakfast generally was good, though selection did not change much during our weeks stay.The hotel would benefit from a spa/gym, we enjoyed those at their sister hotel.Golf course looked nice, though did not get to play as it was busy and felt that we were not not too welcome as beginners. Local area has plenty to offer for exploring so overall really enjoyed our stay.

I can not say enough wonderful things about my stay at the Palmares. The hotel was spotless and offered spectacular views of the ocean from your bedroom. Pedro, the Manager, and his staff were beyond accommodating and did everything they could to make your stay memorable including packing you a beach picnic and offering you a ride to the ocean in their golf cart so you didn’t have to walk. I hope to be back again soon.

Este hotel nos surpreendeu pela positiva em todos os aspectos. Não há dúvidas de que é o lugar apropriado para umas férias para descansar e recarregar as baterias. Apesar de não ser um hotel adults only, é como se fosse. Não há lugares para gritaria ao pequeno almoço e nem pulos e desmandos à beira da piscina. Tudo se faz com calma, um silêncio reconfortante e uma qualidade excepcional. Não há piscinas gigantescas que convidem multidões e nem piscinas para crianças. Não mudem nada, não alterem nada, está perfeito. O campo de golfe é excepcional!

Nice hotel overall with helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, but not near the best we had on our 3 week vacation in a Portugal. Could use a bit more variety and presentation could be improved (didnt like the plastic lids on the hot items). We had 3 dinners at the hotel and all meals were delicious. As for complementary water, being a 5 star hotel they should give you one bottle every day rather than just one for our entire 3 day stay, but they did give us a bottle of wine complementary and house baked cookies for turn down every night so we cant really complain. Nice property overall. It USC a little ways from the beach but they gave a free shuttle there. Great view of Lagos and the sea. Great rain shower.

Booked property 8 month out. Nowhere did it say no kids allowed. Arrived on Christmas night from Lisbon after-dark, tired w/ wife and infant son, and got a cold-handed kick in-the-face (sorry, but you have to stay elsewhere). No offer of anything to rectify the problem, just, “we’ll help you find another hotel”. No thanks, I can google myself. I understand things like this happen, but since it was the mistake of the property, I expected at least more compassion or attention to the matter.Asked Sarah, the manager, to change the booking name of the hotel on Hotels.com to say “Adults Only” to make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else (which now it does, so FYI). Looks like management of this hotel worries about their future business (good), but ignores the experience of existing clients (bad).Otherwise, the property looks good (have been scoping it for a long time), and the “surface-level” reviews look good. However, the way management handled this situation tells me that if you say happened to find bed-bugs in your room, they would just promise to clean the bed for the next customer and let you hang dry. That is not how customer service works at top companies (think Amazon). If the company makes a mistake (and Sarah admitted she missed properly labeling the booking on Hotels.com), then the company has to “make it right”, or it will soon be out of business.Oh yes, you bet we left all of the dirty nappies from the drive in the parking lot. Fair gift for the SNAFU.

Amazing hotel, the highlight of our trip. Staff were wonderful and very friendly. Pool was great, you could order food and drinks and sit by the pool. Dinner was also excellent. Views were spectacular. Great place for couples and to relax, very quiet. A short drive to the beach or hotel will take you in a golf cart. all rooms have balcony views. Overall gorgeous stay! Highly recommend.

Vista espetacular ...ótimo quarto...mas longe de ser um hotel 5estrelas...é um lugar sem indenidade ....não tem ninguém tomando conta ou se preocupando em agradar os hóspedes ❗️e uma pena .....quem fez o nosso check-in estava totalmente despreparada p estar num hotel como esse.

Quiet elegant luxury. This hotel just opened in April 2017. Although it it is a bit outside of Lagos, the location insures privacy and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. While for many the attraction is the golf, my wife and I don’t play golf, bu the beauty of the course made me want to learn. The rooms are spacious, clean open and elegant modern. Each of the 20 rooms has a huge deck overlooking the golf course and the ocean. Really one of the most beautiful views. If you need a vacation to get away from it all, this is the place. It probably helps to have a car (we rented one). One suggestion - if you use GPS - we couldn’t find he hotel because it is so new but we found the golf course as a POI.

Je vais très souvent à l'Onyria Palmarès Beach. J adore venir ! La vue est magnifique, le service aux petits soins et les plats très accessibles niveau prix au vu de la qualite de l'hôtel et de la vue. C'est pour moi un petit coin de paradis où j'adore amener nos amis qui viennent chez nous en vacances.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel con mio marito.noi ci siamo trovati molto bene il personale è cordiale senza essere viscido.il cibo molto buono(per la colazione oltre al buffet sarebbe bello avere un piccolo menu per ordinare altre cose come uova fritte ,omelette centrifugati ecc)e sarebbe carino che i camerieri venissero a chiedere loro cosa si desidera caffe o the o cioccolato ecc.il cibo comunque molto buono perfetto avere il servizio in camera 24h.usato più volte e devo dire ha un prezzo onesto.non Honda 5 stelle perché nonostante la camera fosse pulita negli angoli della doccia e della stanza si vedeva che non veniva pulito bene presenza di polvere che era lì da un po. Nota molto importante andrebbe riscaldata l'acqua della piscina.era veramente fredda Comunque il giudizio totale è positivo la vista stupenda una vista dalla stanza che migliora la vacanza.consgliato

Bu hotel yeni açıldı. Ancak henüz hizmete hazır olmadığını düşünüyorum. Servis oldukça zayıftı. Ciddi bir personel eksiği bulunmakta. Resepsiyona bakan kişi, hem oda girişinizi yapıyor, hem telefonlara bakıyor, hem araçtan bavullarınızı alıyor, sabah kahvaltıda servise çıkıyor. Bu durumda servis oldukça zayıf kalıyor. 5 yıldızlı bir hotelde kahvaltıda çay servisini kendiniz yapmak zorunda kalıyorsunuz. Çalışanlar belki çok iyi ve güler yüzlü olabilir ancak bu durum hotelin hizmetini düzeltmiyor. Odalarda duş jeli bitince koymayı unutuyorlar. Yer havlusu unutuluyor. Erkekler için terlikler kesinlikle uygun değil. Hotelin çevre düzenlemesi henuz yapılmamış. Hotel hazır olmadan müşteri karşısına çıktı diye düşünüyorum.

This place is awesome, view from room is breathtaking, swimming pool clean, restaurant has delicious food ( very good price ) Not far away from beach. Really great stay !
