Véhicule réservé par BSP AUTO : voiture Clio avec GPS (non prévu) mais trace de colle - voiture récente L''agence AVIS BUDGET de Faro a des consignes pour récupérer le tarif attractif consenti par BSP AUTO : on vous annonce une caution de 120 euros pour le carburant et en réalité, une partie de cette somme correspond à la souscription d'une assistance et responsabilité civile sans que vous le sachiez .... au final, 40 euros de plus que la réservation déjà payée ! Attention, au Portugal, péage automatique donc 20 euros pour le boitier à payer au loueur + les consommations prélevées sur la CB

Where do I start? Waited 40 minutes for the shuttle bus, had to load our own suitcases, awful driver who was the only member of staff that we met, the car hire compound was closed on our return day(Sunday) even though it was meant to be open 7 days a week so we then had to take the car to the airport and pay a parking charge! Avoid at all costs!

I was charged for extras that I didn't ask for, including insurance which I already had though a third party. I specifically told them not to put insurance on there, but they did it anyway secretly. Arguing this cost got me nowhere when I returned the car. Avoid.

BE VERY WARY! I Left a review last year after being charged extra for absolutely no reason. I was ignored and given no answer - it's not even easy to contact them! They recharged me twice (around 100 Euro total) after I returned the car with a full tank and paid the tolls. They didn't bother sending me a breakdown of what the additional charges were for. They've now changed their name from "Budget Faro" to Budget Polska" seems like they're trying to disguise all the bad reviews they've received - I can't see mine and they have no stars showing. Terrible way of fixing issues, just brushing it under the carpet, little do they know people like myself are watching them closely. This is 2019 - everything is easily documented. I've just booked another another trip to Portugal this year and I decided to go with Budget again, to see if they'll mess up twice, which will prove they're doing it on purpose... I'm calling it now - I won't be surprised if my booking somehow gets "cancelled"... I hope they do that, because all this is being very well documented, it'll just point out even more how sleazy the company is... This is how companies go under, by making silly mistakes and providing terrible customer service - easily avoidable. I hope someone at Budget reads this - it's time to fix up!

Finger weg!!!! Wir haben von zu Hause aus online über Check24 einen Mietwagen gebucht. Den Wagen bekommen haben wir dann vor Ort von der Firma Budget. Wir haben den Wagen extra zu zweit abgeholt. Der in spanischer Sprache verfasste Mietvertrag wurde uns von einer Mitarbeiterin ins englische übersetzt und vorgelesen. Wir haben alle angebotenen Zusatzleistungen verneint und abgelehnt. Am Ende musste ich auf eine Tablet unterschreiben. Zu Hause kam dann die böse Überraschung. Neben der eigentlichen Fahrzeugmiete buchte Budget über 280€ ab. Einige Tage später erhielt ich dann eine Rechnung über alle erdenklichen Zusatzleistungen. Nach ewigem Hin und Her wurde mit einer Kopie des spanischen Vertrags zugeschickt. Jede Zusatzleistung ist dort mit einem Häkchen versehen und darunter prangt meine Unterschrift. Den Vertrag habe ich so zum ersten Mal gesehen. Anschließend haben wir nun mehr für die Zusatzleistungen bezahlt als für die eigentliche Fahrzeugmiete. Absolute Frechheit! Ich habe schon öfter von zu Hause aus über ein Onlineportal ein Fahrzeug gemietet und jeder Anbieter versucht einem vor Ort noch was aufzuschwatzen. Aber so etwas wie bei Budget ist mir noch nie passiert. Richtige Abzocke! Nie nie wieder!!!!

Den Punkt Abzug gibt es wegen dem unfreundlichen Personal und der Wartezeit bei der Abholung. Mit dem Fahrzeug und der Rückgabe hat alles gut geklappt, von daher gibt es hier keine negativen Punkte zu berichten!

Bei Übergabe wird ein völlig neuer Vertrag angeboten,Der Voucher von Check 24 wird als Gutschrift verrechnet, es entstehen wesentlich höhere Kosten, Die Selbstbeteiligung im Schadensfall wird auf Euro 3100 erhöht, vom deutschen Anbieter aber nur Euro 2500. Alles zusammen sehr unseriös, auch meine Empfehlung: Finger weg

1 star is about right considering the car hired ran ok started ok stopped ok didn't breakdown, and was an absolute bargain at 40 squid...but. Firstly the reception desk isn't in arrivals but a Portuguese 100 yards away in a new block outside, to be fair its not much further. When you enter the block you're supposed to get a numbered ticket, we didn't and to be honest no one else did and we were there A LONG LONG TIME. Bob shall be call him was smart polite and had PATIENCE. When he asked for a further 270 euros i asked him to explain and he did, twice. Asking for a print out enabled us both to go through the looongg list. Yes I had asked for their super dooper insurance, 35 years of hiring cars in Faro has taught us to do so. Is glass and tyres included in the super dooper insurance, yes it was he said but it wasn't. To be honest i would have signed my misses into slavery by now as we both were very tired. Still signed documents were given and off we went alone to find our car, no accompanied car check here, but the damage to the lower front panel was clearly marked on the paperwork. Getting to the car we couldn't find the damage highlighted but the boot/tailgate lid was so back to the office. Bob was busy so ticket in hand i spoke to ? . Assured i could speak to the man on the exit about the damage we finally finally set off, but. No man was on the exit and no man came so we left. To be honest arguing about the sensibility of leaving with a damaged boot wasn't the best start to a holiday. Now, we returned the car with a full tank photographing the fuel gauge and keeping the receipt, and the return went suprisingly easy. 100 euros was not taken as the fuel tank was full and what ever the charge/ deposit for motorway usage wasn't either as we never used any, leaving a total charge for our bargain hire was 200 squid, that's 40 + an extra 160 not such a bargain now. Rediculous initial quote. Never again.

The worst hire car company at Faro airport. They take ages to process you when there - not what you want when arriving late! The service is miserable and rude. They're not competitively priced. They do not check the car out with you but they check it incredibly thoroughly on the return. Beware their hidden admin charges. So much choice at Faro that is so much better. Even Goldcar are better than Budget and that really is saying something!

The service was not as nice as their competitors. The lady who handled our arrival was grumpy and rude. She did not try and help us with any of the issues we were facing. Wouldn't use budget again as the service you get from the other companies are much nicer and there is no difference in price either.

Don’t bother! I thought that booking through a well established well known company that I’d get a the car “or similar” that I’d ordered. Well let me tell you that a 3 year old Fiat Punto that’s dirty inside and out, internal lights not working, no Bluetooth, weak AC is not the same as a new(ish) Renault Clio. If I’d paid the €80 on top of the £180 I’d already paid for the car to get the upgrade it may have been a better car?? Then of course there’s the €5 a day to get the motorway charging dongle to be activated..... that’s €50 euro to drive on the one motorway the Algarve has to offer which in our case would have been a two way journey costing no more than €10 in total. Oh but it included the breakdown cover..... silly me. Those unknown branded hire cars company’s you see on the comparison sites were everywhere and they were new clean modern cars. AVOID RIP OFF BUDGET/AVIS!!!!!

This company was instructed to provide me with a hire vehicle for the duration of my holiday booked through Expedia, I did not have any say in who would be providing the service nor the exact details of what vehicle I could expect to recieve other than a basic four door, petrol vehicle with no A/C as an optional extra. 1) Arrival and initial customer service. After verifying my identity and confirming that I have a current valid UK driving licence, it was straight into the 'hard sale' for extras that are quite frankly not required for the overall majority of drivers "Super CDW/Gold CDW/Breakdown Recovery(?really?)". Once I had shown the customer sales rep that my itenary already had the legally required insurance and CDW provided as standard, the mood went way south, very quickly. I was also told it was necessary to purchase some form pre-paid Toll-pass so I could drive the on the transponder controlled motorways. Here's a clue, the over-riding majority of the locals including taxi and private bus drivers avoid the toll roads like the plague. It is not necessary to purchase these unless you explicitly feel the need to, I managed a eleven day break driving all over Portugal without using them. Decide whats best for you, not some sales persons commission. After the sales agent decided she was not going to get any sales bonuses from me an ignition key was slid across the desk with a stern warning "any damages to the vehicle will be deducted from the card you have provided and the Portugese government now have your UK address to send the heavy fines to if you use 'our' motorways without paying". Gee, thanks. "Where is my car?". "Out there, you can find it yourself". Nice customer focus. 2) The vehicle itself The vehicle itself was a reasonbly well presented and recently valeted Peugeot 206 with better than expected equipment and comfort levels. It was a reasonably economical car and I had no issues with it from pick up until hand over. Having a car with A/C was an added benefit. 3) Return and handover I made a point of refuelling the vehicle at the nearest gas station to the airport so it could not be argued that the fuel status was anything other than full. On the day before I handed back I had given the driver side and passenger side footwell a thorough clean as dust gets everywhere. Upon arrival the handover agent was very keen for me to attempt to park the vehicle in between two badly parked cars that probably would have resulted in damage to any of the vehicles when it came to opening the doors. I parked somewhere a bit more spacious and where I could take handover pictures to verify that the vehicle was clean and undamaged. The collection agent conducted an almost forensic level examination of the vehicle but didn't seem very happy to sign the vehicle off as free from damage. I was told to expect an e-mail confirming that the vehicle had been returned back in undamaged condition, but have yet to recieve one. Whilst there was no drama at any of the stages I'm quite concerned reading some of the other reviews with very low star ratings for charges after the event, needless to say I will be keeping a very close eye on the account used for this service. As a customer I would not recommend them as they were incredibly pushy for unnecessary extras, did not seem customer focussed or have anything special to offer, here's a novel idea, why not give advice on the most competitive places to top up your hire car and even walking the customer out to their hire vehicle once the paperwork has been completed? I've hired vehicles from different types of providers in a few other European countries, the standard offered here was not even close. Avoid if at all possible.

Finger weg! Über Car del Mar gebucht, dann bei Budget derart über den Tisch gezogen worden, dass das Auto am Ende weit mehr als doppelt so teuer war. Hohe Kaution nötigt den Kunden, eine Absicherung der Selbstbeteiligung abzuschließen, die je Tag mehr kostet als die Automiete selbst.

Naciąganie kasy na dodatkowe opcje, które są niepotrzebne. Kaucji wcale nie trzeba płacić, ale mocno na to nalegają. Obsługa niemiła i niekompetentna. Za nawigację każą zapłacić, jednakże nie zapłaciłem i o dziwo jakoś działała ;) Jedyny plus, że auto nowe i czyste. Nie zatankowane do końca (spuszczają paliwo, ale kreska nadal widnieje na full). Radzę unikać. A i auto dostałem inne niż zamawiałem :)

Such a disappointment for such a trusted car rental company name. Booked our rental car online and paid €180, this included full insurance. Paid a €300 deposit at the desk and also agreed to pay €25 for the road toll service. Discovered I was in fact charged €360 and given no explanation as to why this was. Returned the car in perfect condition with a full tank of fuel,two days later I had 200€ taken out of my bank account. When I rang budget car rental in Faro they told me this was for additional cover which included windscreen cover and super damage waiver. They also added a fuel charge on. What was worse was how I was continuously ignored by budget car rental and given no clear explanation as to why I was charged more. I wrote to avis car rental who told me they would look at my documentation and try and make sense of it, they sent me a full detailed report of what I was charged for. Be very careful when signing anything.

Nie mehr - FINGER WEG! Der Mietvertrag stimmt nicht mit der Buchung überein - logischerweise teurer. Differenzen können nicht erklärt (weder auf Englisch noch auf Portugiesisch). Man soll unterschreiben und sich an den Customer Sercvice wenden.

Car ok and service friendly, but no matter how canny you are they find a way of hitting you with charges when you get home, and because they don't give you an email address, you are very limited in how to fight against these unwarranted charges. Not sure how you can protect yourself against these? Would using another company be better? I don't know, Villa Plus use them as part of the package, so you think you're getting a good deal, but when you find out on your return it would have been cheaper to book through another car rental .. it puts you off both VIlla Plus and Budget/Avis

Absolutely dreadful company. Discovered charges of €300 on our return from Faro. No explanation at all. When I returned the car I was told all ok. Do not use the company. Scam artists. Scam artists extraordinaire! I've rented cars in Portugal on 2 previous occasions, lots of times in Spain and the US. Never have I been sold insurance waiver as a deposit only to find it's a pre-charge on your credit card! Be warned, these guys will add on insurance waiver at over €20 a day and a fuel charge and will ask you for a deposit to be charged to your credit card. You will be told the fuel charge is waived if you return the hire car with a fuel tank. The attendant serving you will draw 2 circles on the screen showing you the fuel charge and insurance waiver charge but he won't explain the insurance charge to you. He will tell you the fuel charge won't apply unless you return the car with less than a full tank. He then asks you to sign the screen contract twice but not once do you see where the signature is next to. You will be told the contract will be emailed to you. About an hour you do get the contract and will see the insurance waiver has been added as an optional extra and not a security deposit. By then, it's too late as if you ring customer services to cancel it, all you will get is "it's in the contract and you've signed it". Crooks!!! You can never get hold of the branch by phone, no use driving back to the branch after you get the contract to challenge the scam as again, all they say to you is "it is in the contract you signed". This is pure mis-selling and I'd advise you steer clear of these guys if you don't want to be fleeced.

Scammers. As with other reviewers that I found here these scammers also charged me additional insurance and fees that I did not agree upon when I collected the car. They make you sign on a touch screen without seeing any printed contract. Later, after one hour, you get the contract by email. I was already at my destination enjoying my holidays and did not review the contract. I realized they had placed the digital signatures I made on the touch screen at strategic places within the contract stating the additional charges and fees. It’s a scam. Wait until the contract arrives to your email before collecting the car and starting your holidays. If a scam has been attempted, complain right away and make them rewrite a new contract.

Wir hatten einen Mietwagen über einen deutschen Vermittler gebucht, und einen Voucher dabei. Bei der Ankunft musste ich ca. 10 Minuten warten, trotz Vorsaison. Die Erläuterungen zum Vertrag erfolgten sehr schnell (Absicht?) am Display des Schalters. Der Agent hat wichtige Passagen mit dem Finger farbig markiert, das ganze erhält man später per PDF als E-Mail zur Bestätigung. Unbedingt durchlesen!!!! Bei mir waren dann plötzlich 2 zusätzliche Versicherungen ausgewiesen, die ich nicht nachgefragt hatte. Am Schalter waren mir diese nicht aufgefallen. Versuche, die Station per Telefon zu erreichen sind zwecklos, es nimmt niemand ab. So mussten wir nochmals 30km zum Airport zurückfahren, um die nicht gewünschten Versicherungen ausbuchen zu lassen. Das Fahrzeug war ein fast neuer Kia Rio mit sinnvoller Ausstattung (Android Auto, Apple Carplay).

Latest Avis/Budget scam at Faro I prepaid a rental through British Airways 24-28 Feb. When I arrived at the counter I was asked only if I wanted the e-tolls authorised to which I said yes. I specifically declined any other extras. The new Avis machines now only provide a terminal rather than paper. You are asked to sign on that terminal. Here is how they are now scamming us. They will add in extras such as Roadside Assistance. It will not show as that. It’s hidden. Even if you look it just says additional products automatic toll, RSN They make you sign on the computer screen based on the verbal discussion you just had. They then make you pay for the e toll fee there by credit card. In addition you pay for petrol up front even if you plan to return it full. All you later get is an e mail of the document you have signed by which time it’s too late A couple of weeks later you get a credit card charge. It includes clearly identifiable now roadside assistance cover. You never asked for it. Never approved it. But they charge you anyway You don’t their Budapest call centre. They refuse to Refund anything hiding behind what they say is a signed agreement You have all been warned. Don’t sign anything unless you have been able to read it all first

As noted by every one else. Booked vehicle through a very reputable company. Wasn't the cheapest either but thought it would be good. I purchased extra insurance prior to arrival. When collecting the car I was asked for credit card for a charge if car wasn't returned etc. Very common practice. However, 2 weeks after they charged my card £140. I'm now 4 months on and still haven't been refunded. They are a bunch of fraudsters. Stay clear

Bereits das 2te Mal gebucht und sehr zufrieden. Vielen Dank für die bisher immer schnelle unkomplizierte Abwicklung. Sehr schöne Überraschung weil der gebuchten Mini nicht mehr zur Verfügung stand. Terrible experience. I advice you to choose another company to rent a car in Algarve. Be prepared to pay a lot more anytime after 3 months I got 2 bills, I had to pay more than 100 pounds. Terrible communication issue. I don’t trust them anymore and I will definitely choose a different company in the future

I have just come back from a holiday in Faro, Portugal and used Budget Car Hire at the airport, very friendly staff and signed on the dotted line for the car hire stating the only extra I wanted was the Toll road as I had insurance etc through work. I have just received a letter from BUDGET stating I have been charged an extra £240 for extra Insurance etc that I did not agree to but sadly I must have signed for unwittengly, Argus Car hire who I booked through have stated its not their issue. I am very annoyed and am trying to make contact with Budget to get this issue resolved, but from reading other comments I am not holding my breath, very very disappointed with BUDGET and I will not recommend them at all. They will charge you extra and you dont know anything about it.

Alles bestens, verstehe einige negative Bewertungen nicht. Alle Formulare wurden auf Deutsch auf einem tablet präsentiert. Schnelle Abwicklung, man fragte ob ein zusätzlicher Schutz benötigt wird, nicht aufdringlich. Übernahme KFZ schnell und einfach. Abgabe ging noch viel schneller ohne Problem Zu zahlen waren dann nur die Mietgebühren für das Mautgerät, welches man mitmieten sollte. 17 Euro ca für 9 Tage, plus Maut

Typically terrible - my partners credit card was failing so I offered to put the hold on mine but as I wasn’t the main driver they wouldn’t let me, they wouldn’t even change the name and put me as the main driver so the only option is to pay the full insurance (more than double the car hire) This is all they are after - they offer fantastic prices but do their best to make sure you end up keying for the full insurance. Customer service was terrible to, took over 20mins to get a refund.

Man wird nicht auf Mehrkosten oder eine Vertragsveränderung hingewiesen. Leider kann man hier keine zukünftigen Kunden warnen,da man nicht weiß, an welche Autovermietung man von Check24 weitervermittelt wird.Auch Check24 hilft nicht,obwohl oder weil sie ihre Kunden an Betrüger vermitteln .Das Unternehmen glänzt mit positiven Bewertungen, wo sind die Negativen?? Ich kann nur jedem raten,lasst euch bevor ihr unterschreibt,alles auf Papier ausdrucken und studiert es sorgfältig. ACHTUNG VERSTECKTE ZUSATZLEISTUNGEN! Ich kann mich den negativen Bewertungen leider nur anschließen. Ich habe bis dato viele Mietwagen gebucht, aber diese Masche ist mir neu. Wie hier bereits schon mehrfach beschrieben, werden bei Anmietung Zusatzleistungen ohne jeglichen Hinweis »untergejubelt«. Auf einem kleinen Tablet musste man zweimal unterschreiben – für die Kaution und den Mietvertrag. Der Mietvertrag war auf portugiesisch, die deutsche Version kam 45 Minuten nach Anmietung per E-Mail. Dort war dann ersichtlich, wofür man tatsächlich unterschrieben hat. Es war nicht für die Kaution, sondern für besagte Zusatzleistungen, die die eigentliche vorab bezahlte Automiete in etwa nochmal verdoppelten.

ABZOCKE! Ich habe über Check24 bei Avis/Budget in Faro ein Fahrzeug für 9 Tage gemietet. Preis 190€. Obwohl ich bei der Abholung ausdrücklich gesagt habe, dass ich keine Zusatzversicherungen benötige, wurde mir trotzdem eine Vollkasko für 268€ berechnet, die nachträglich von der Kreditkarte abgebucht wurde. Somit hat das Auto insgesamt 458€ gekostet! Ich habe mich deshalb bei Check24 beschwert und als Antwort erhalten, dass der Betrag nicht mehr angefochten werden kann. Eine Erstattung der Kosten ist nicht mehr möglich.

Betrüger! Mietvertrag gründlich lesen und Zusatzkosten selber im Vertrag vor Unterschrift streichen. Dreister geht es nicht. Der Mitarbeiten behauptete, dass keine weiteren Kosten entstehen und es nur eine Kaution sei. Das ist eine Lüge! Der Kundendienst zahlt das Geld nicht zurück, weil der Vertrag unterschrieben wurde. Der Fall liegt jetzt bei meinem Anwalt.

Attention! Fraudsters! Our booking already included an insurance. Nevertheless, the employee unintentionally booked an insurance policy for us. Argument of the employee after we found an additional insurance in the contract: "This is not an insurance but only a deposit. You don't have to pay anything at the end. This is the case with all customers. There is a translation error in the text...it is definitely just a deposit". In the end I had to pay 300 Euro extra. The case is currently being clarified by customer service.

This company is so completely disorganized. To extend 1 day on a E class car cost 125 Euro, to rent it separately for a single day is 34 euro??! Every call requires 3 transfers back and forth as people have "no access" to information and frankly, don't care. I will never reuse this company, I strongly advise the same as other. Do not bother. I picked Budget as it is a big franchise and less likely to rip off the customer as opposed to some of the small shops. I was wrong!

At the moment of picking up the car I was informed that I'd have to pay the full insurance of €94, otherwise they'd have to take a secure deposit of €1500 from my account, which hasn't been informed anywhere when I booked the car online. Obviously I agreed to pay the full insurance but when I checked my account later they had taken €214, which wasn't specified anywhere in the contract I had signed. The staff was completely dishonest once she clearly said nothing would be charged but the previously agreed €94. When I went to return the car I asked them why they had charged that amount, they said it's something usual but I'd have it back in my account soon. I never got anything back. No doubt that was the worst experience I've ever had renting cars and I would never recommend them. They should be ashamed of doing something like this.

Über billiger-mietwagen einen Mietwagen gebucht (250 euro, inkl aller Versicherungen), vor Ort wurden wir dann leider verarscht, indem uns eine Zusatzversicherung im Wert von 350 Euro, ohne dass wir drüber gesprochen haben oder informiert wurden, berechnet wurde! Das alles obwohl ich der Dame am Schalter den Ausdruck auf Portugiesisch von billiger-mietwagen gegebene haben, auf dem genauestens steht, dass ich über billiger-miewagen komplett ohne Selbstbeteiligung versichert bin! Dies ist leider erst nach dem Urlaub aufgefallen. Da der Vertrag, der uns nie richtig gezeigt wurde, unterschrieben war, ist das Geld jetzt weg! Wenn ich mir die restlichen Rezensionen hier so durchlese, bin ich fast beruhigt, dass wir nicht die einzigen sind, die abgezogen wurden! Schade, ich hatte mir vorgenommen nie so eine negative Rezension zu verfassen, aber sowas lächerliches habe ich noch nicht erlebt!

Absolute Frechheit und Abzocke! Zusatzversicherungen wurden abgeschlossen, obwohl ich dies 10x verneint habe!!! Über 400 EUR mehr bezahlt! Ich musste den Vertrag via Tablet unterschreiben. Die abzocker Dame scrollte einach hinunter und forderte mich den Vertrag zu unterschreiben! Ich erhielt den Vertrag später per Email. Da war es schon zu spät, ich habe den Vertrag erst gelesen, nachdem ich diese Kommentrare hier gelesen habe!!! Absolute Frechheit und Abzockerei!!! Absolute Frechheit!!!!!! NIE mehr bei BUDGET!!! Unbedingt sofort den Vertrag nach Abschluss, anschauen!!!!!!!!!!

Terrible customer service with many hidden charges. Before you drive away expect to double the price as advertised. Do not go here if you think you avoid bad service or car because of brand "Budget" or "Avis". You are much better off taking a cheaper provider and will get the same service.

One of the worst car rental I ever had! A lot of hidden trap fees in the contract. Partly unfriendly, definitely not customer oriented service! They just pretend not to be the contract party?! I booked with Budget, the sign shows Budget, so why the hell they aren't my contract party!? The best tip was, you don't have to take the car! Funny at the beginning of your holiday! In the end I payed 100% more than considered, to get what I already booked! Thumb down!

Unfriendly staff in the Station and on the telephone. There was no help for us available as a woman hit our rental car. The callcenter Agent on the hotline told us to call the station because he wasn‘t responsible. As we called the Faro station about 10 times no one answered the phone although it was open the whole day. As we were there at 6:00 am the next day no one was ready to help us because the unfriendly woman first had to start the Computers for about 10 minutes until she was finally ready for her customers. By the way we had only 30 minutes left until our gate closed, but still needed help because of the accident. If your opening hours are 6am until 24pm your staff should be ready for customers on time! Worst customer service ever seen. Get your Job done!

Bei größerem Andrang sind die Wartezeiten doch relativ lang. Wir hatten Glück und nach 10 Minuten dran. Nette Beratung am Schalter, eine Versicherung wurde zwar angeboten, aber in keinem Fall aggressiv oder drängend. Ein Hinweis auf die Erstattung der Selbstbeteiligung genügte und der Mitarbeiter meinte, dann ist alles ok. Kein Aufdrängen irgendwelcher Zusatzartikel. Auf Autobahnmaut und Tagessatz wurde hingewiesen. Ausschilderung vom Flughafen zum Schalter war gut. Ein deutlich höherwertiges Fahrzeug wurde ausgegeben. Das Fahrzeug war nagelneu, vollgetankt und top in Schuss. Die Fahrzeugrückgabe war ebenfalls gut. Das Fahrzeug kann außerhalb der Öffnungszeit auf dem bewachten Parkplatz abgestellt werden. Der Schlüssel wird dann in einen Sicherheitskasten geworfen. Eine Übergabeprotokoll gibt es dann natürlich nicht, was ein gewisses Risiko bedeutet. Nach nun 14 Tagen wurde die rechtmäßige Abbuchung der Maut vorgenommen, weitere Kosten oder Reklamationen nicht. Daher kann ich Budget wirklich empfehlen.

Cela ne mérite même pas une étoile . Oui la voiture est correcte et sur le papier cela paraît moins cher que d'autres. Mais la facture finale... une blague monumentale qui termine plus cher qu'ailleurs. Un GPS à 90 euros on nous annonçait 60 euros de base ce qui était conséquent mais là...(oui presque le prix d'achat du GPS) la semaine ET SURTOUT ... qui n'à même pas fonctionné (nous avons du utiliser nos portables merci maps ) alors merssieurs dames evitez de le prendre autant vous en acheter un à 150 euros en france qui s'utilisé très bien en ue il sera bien plud rentable. Ensuite un boîtier autoroute qui est annoncé sans frais mais qui termine à 6 euros par jour autant dire que nous ne l'aurions pas pris sinon, sans parler de l'attente interminable à l'arrivée de l'aéroport pour prendre la voiture alors que la file n'était pas bien longue (nos amis étaient servis en 5 minutes à côté chez Europecar pour exemple). Nous ne sommes pas de nature à critiquer à tous bouts de champs mais nous avons vraiment eu l'impression de nous faire "rouler dans la farine" et bien correctement en France nous sommes donc "des pigeons" au Portugal je ne sais pas comment ils appellent ça... Des pigeons voyageurs ! Donc à ceux qui veulent s'y frotter quand meme... faites attention à tout car cela gâche un peu la fin des vacances !

I rent car by budget get free upgrade two level higher. Very friendly older man, did give me papers.good instruction.didn t persist for an extra insurance. I did get a new car renault capture, with 7000 km. Clean and washed. The cars look new on parking, compared to athens in greece. Anyway al cars in faro seams new and the rental car price are generally low compared to greece. I can recommend to rent cars in faro,less complicated then in malaga. Three weeks later i get second bill, it s not really possible to understand for what reason they charged me. I leave car correctly. On the bill there is no email, so no asking possible. Now six weeks later they charged me again 18 euros , this is for using the highway, no bill sent in a time where you can sent emails. For me budget Faro is not to recommend, because i pay at least 65 euro more then we have fixed. In spain they are more honest in malaga airport. Budget Portugal is not very honest. Maybe it comes from higher management. The local staff was friendly.

CUSTOMERS BE WARNED: We recently fell for a scam where Budget hides a clause into their contract stating you are happy to be charged in your local currency at an extremely bad exchange rate rather than in euros!! Even though we specifically asked to be charged in euros they refused to do this!!

Rented a car through a third party company, we landed in Faro in the approx. 12 at night and went there just to find out that their policies are COMPLETELY different to what we were given beforehand. Ended up paying 350 pounds more than expected. Stupid moron behind the till was mocking us (definitely looked like it) and was acting like an idiot trying to put blame on us. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I have hired a car twice with Budget in Faro airport in the last 9 months over Ryanair website. First time has been given 6 month old car Second time has been give 2 month old car Both cars were spotless, no issues with pick up or drop off - second time the guy who picked up the car was brilliant, sadly I do not remember his name! Also I have always enabled extra insurance offered to be covered 100% and have a peaceful holidays that worked out pretty well. Only complain that I would have is that cars were not very powerful on motorway but that is not what you can expect from smallest car selection anyway. To sum up it has been a great experience and I am sure next time I am going to be looking to hire a car it will be with Budget for sure

If I could give no stars, I would. They completely scammed us. We had to return the car after hours because they were not open when our flight left. It was dark or I would have taken pictures of the car...(lesson learned), but a week later I was reviewing our credit card bill and wham! There was a fee for over $600. When I contacted the rental agency they said they would look into it...two weeks later I get an invoice for the damage with some pictures of the damage that looks like it had been done a while AND it was super up close so you couldn't tell if it was the car we rented or not. When I complained about the evidence/pictures their response was sorry your answer wasn't favorable for you but Budget has supplied you with proper documentation. What? A picture of a car we can't even tell was our rental? Trust me when I say...we did not damage this car in any manner. They screwed us...so don't let them screw you. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! Especially if you are coming from another country...it's hard to defend yourself. Pay the extra money for peace of mind. You will end up paying a lot more in the end if you don't.

After 3 days and only 70km the gearbox broke and we received a replacement car. When we returned this Budget charged my creditcard 1000 euro's. Since then they refused to return calls from my legal insurence. Very rude company.

Shockingly bad experience with Budget FARO, from being given a much smaller car than listed on my rental voucher, to being made to wait over 1.5hrs to pick up the car in the queue, then charged all sorts of 'EXTRA' hidden charges on the bill for things I did not request. Inadvertently left my iPad under the seat of rental car when I returned it to Faro airport. It was never 'found'. So don't rely on employee honesty or ever leave anything in your rental car. Lost all pictures of family and recent wedding. Gutted.
