Famous for Cozido à Portuguesa, Pataniscas de Bacalhau and the famous Francesinha you must try this! Great gateway for your trip to Alfama! Great prices and the staff makes you feel at home.

A great little place in Lisbon tucked away from the tourist hot spots, the Francesinhas were delicious and obviously popular with the locals as every other table around us was eating them too. We visited from the UK, staff were quick, polite and spoke great English too

At the time of writing this restaurant holds the 1625th spot of 4300 restaurant's in Lissabon but it deserves higher and will definitely go up.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and spoke decent English. They ask if you want the bread, so you won't be charged for it if you don't want it.
The food is excellent and the quality is great for the low price they charge. The house wine sets you back 2,5 euro for half a liter and it's quite good. A steak with fries is 9 euro. Dessert was about 2 euro and you can have a look what it looks like before you make your choice .
The location is also very calm and quiet so you can have a talk in peace while you eat.
So I can wholeheartedly recommend this place, you won't regret it!

Buen sitio para tomar un desayuno según sales de la estación. Los croissans no son lo mejor, pero el café está algo más rico que lo que acostumbran a servirte en España.

Wine and food were great and cheap! Black Swordfish was labelled as "Swordfish", so I didn't quite get what I expected but was still happy!

A comida é muito boa. O espaço não é enorme mas dá para um grupo de 20 pessoas à vontade. Para grupos convém marcar, mas penso que não têm menu de grupo. Os preços são muito acessíveis e uma dose chega bem para 2 pessoas. São muito simpáticos. Também tem uma esplanada no exterior

Ha sido mi restaurante de referencia durante mis vacaciones en Lisboa, el trato es excelente, la comida cumple completamente, típica y a precio muy económico. No se puede pasar sin sentarse en su terraza y comer uno de sus platos del día o una excelente francesinha, eso sí, acompañando lo que sea con una cerveza Sagres.
A cualquiera que lea esta reseña, le ánimo a entrar y probar, y al que busque que no dude, que pruebe, no te decepcionará.

Plats froids, pas terrible. Ne recommande pas.
Repas du midi en terasse. Sur avis plutôt positif vus sur le net, nous nous y rendons à 2 pour déjeuner. Nous avons choisissons une table au soleil. On commande une francesinha et du baccalahau + bière pression et bière sans alcool.
Les boisson arrivent. Après une gorgée pour madame elle se demande si la super bock stout est bien sans alcool :résultat non 5 degrés. Ça peut arriver mais bon si Mme était enceinte C est quand même pas top.
Les plats arrivent et là C est vraiment la déception. Plats froids, frites pas très cuites, froides et pas salées. Je demande le sel poivre pour assaisonner mon baccalahau et je reçois une salière et poivrière vraiment pas propre sur un support un peu rouillé. Note de 25€ à 2.oui c est moins cher qu en France mais pour manger cette qualité ça fait cher. Service correct. Dommage.

A cash only establishment with the perfect balance between value for money, quality of food and no tourists. Three prego rolls, a plate of french fries (for 3) and a starter portion (3 ate comfortably) of grilled chorizo and olives + soft drinks cost us €16,50. Excellent value in my books!
No, the only downside is the SMOKING, SMOKING and more SMOKING, everywhere $#@&!

Numa zona muito turística ainda há bons restaurantes, com boa relação qualidade preço. Comida bem confecionada, bem servida e com bom atendimento, preços da meia dose (que chega bem para uma pessoa) a rondar os 7 euros! Recomendo o queijo como entrada, pode encarecer um pouco, mas é tão bom aquele queijo!

Went there the first time and ordered a burger which was not available. Ordered a sandwich which was also not available. So we left the restaurant and went somewhere else.
Unfortunately we went there a second time. This time I ordered olives and the sea—salad for €8,00, normal big salad was €3,,00. so i could expect something, right.
Olives were simple not served, he said he forgot.... no sorry...
Regarding the salad, in the menu it said Orange and cocktail sauce. Unfortunately it came with oranges, not orange and cocktail sauce. Since i dont like oranges, this was not to my benefit. Since it was a sea salad, it was supposed to come with prawns and crabs. Crabs were missing and afterwards i asked what happened. They told me that they had none.
Bad thing i had to pay the €8,00 for a salad which was missing the crab. Good thing, the olives they forgot at least did not appear on the bill...

Cenamos por 24€ (vino a 9€/botella incluido). Las medias raciones buenas y bien de cantidad (bacalao y costillas). Hay postres típicos y caseros muy buenos y económicos.

One of the top three places in the area which are cheap and not tourist traps. Serve fresh and authentic food. The classic "bitoque" with bread, dtink and dessert will be €10. Go for it!

Novo conceito um restaurante pequeno bem próximo da estação Sta Apolónia, cerca de 200m, um restaurante bem modesto e entrega aquilo que esta escrito no menu, pedi um suco de laranja mas achei muito pequeno, uma porção de azeitonas algo bem comum, e um bacalhau na grelha... a comida estava boa o peixe estava bem grelhado, vem algumas batatas e uma salada, comida agradável, o que chama a atenção é o preço, um valor bem em conta cerca de 10euros vale a pena, o garçom foi super sorridente, achei algo diferente aqui em Portugal.

Premier restaurant par hasard lors de notre arrivée à Lisbonne et très bonne surprise excellent rapport qualité prix le poisson était très bon et les escalopes à la crème également. Service agréable et efficace.

The sangria was delicious. We ordered bread and butter that never arrived at the table. My husband ordered grilled cod and I ordered the vegetable soup. His cod smelled like 2 day old fish and was served in a puddle of oil. The "salad" consisted of a couple of pieces of lettuce that drowned in the oil and anemic tomato slices. My soup was served at room temperature. I asked if they could heat it up and it came back luke warm. This was the worst meal I've had in Portugal.

Novo conceito é un sitio de comidas sito moi preto da Estación de Santa Apolonia e de camiño cara o largo do Terreiro do Trigo. Trátase dun lugar agradable, cunha terraza tranquila na que gostar da comida tradicional popular alfacinha. Os prezos son correctos e a intensidade da presión turística inda deixa espazo ós locais para seguir incluíndo a este establecemento dentro das súas rutinas.

It's not fancy, more like home cooked food - quite tasty, quite healthy and inexpensive. There are no surprises, which is a good thing 9 out of 10 nights (which was, by the way, how often I ate there...)

Nothing special, the swordfish had anlit of tiny bones, one of then got stuck on my throat, and the fish was not proply cleaned. The service was good though, price is not cheap neither expensive.

D'abord le plaisir de dîner en terrasse un 6 mars! Ensuite goûter une très honnête cuisine locale a un prix encore plus honnête.
Laissez le patron choisir le vin, il est de très bon conseil. Et vous ne prenez pas beaucoup de risque, toutes les bouteilles étant à moins de 10 euros sur la carte.
Morue grillée délicieuse mais ça... On est à Lisbonne!

Yes the famous Cozido à Portuguesa is great you must definitely try this! The three guy are great, the youngest one speak english very wel and Costa have a special humour with is glasses down on his nose.
Don't forget the women, they kook for you ! and great !!! OBRIGADO !
