After 10 days in Sol E Mar we didn't want to go home.You can't fault anything.Location is amazing. View from the hotel is just breath taking and of course lovely cosy rooms.Reception staff is awesome, helping always and with everything they can.Thank you to George (pizza ) . reception ladies Carolina,Luiza and Berta...always happy and smiling . Breakfast is very good...wouldn't be the same without Sergio, Gabriel and Mr Ireland Colin!! Thank you boys!! Highly recommend Sol e mar hotel! We miss you already!

This hotel is the place to go to relax. All rooms face the sea so no paying extra for seaview. Breakfast is plentiful and good quality. Friendly staff and comfortable lounge area with live gentle background entertainment from Nunu playing keyboards and singing. All rooms are clean and well maintained and each has a private balcony. Near the old town square and direct access to the beach make this hotel perfect for us

Hôtel merveilleusement bien placé, toutes les chambres avec vue sur mer. Personnel très agréable et sympathique.
Nous avons passé un joli séjour, jolies excursions.
La ville d' Albufeira est très animée, beaucoup de restaurants, boutiques, etc.
Dommage de devoir payer 15 euros par jour pour 2 chaises et 1 parasol à la plage, et d'avoir une si petite piscine qui est à l'intérieur !!!
Encore un grand merci à tout le personnel, spécialement à BERTA pour tout ce qu'elle a fait pour nous....
Plein succès pour l'avenir et merci beaucoup.

Stayed in this hotel 10 years ago for our 30th Wedding Anniversary.Returning for our 40th this September.Overlooking the beach which is great .Underneath Hotel are restaurants and places to drink serving beers,smoothie and cocktails.Hotel rooms are clean but a bit tired,despite that we still enjoyed our stay this time around.Would recommend hotel for maturer couples.You would have to travel out of hotel for entertainment if of younger age group (under 50).

El hotel tiene muy buena ubicación, pero es muy viejo, la comida deja bastante que desear, y las habitaciones están un poco descuidadas. Los grifos de la bañera goteaban. La tele en la habitación era una smart tv, seria mejor tener menos calidad de televisión y más calidad en las instalaciones, principalmente por que el wifi era lo justo para usar whatsapp, por que para el resto de cosas no iba, por lo que para usar la smart tv, tampoco por que no la tenían conectada a la red. La piscina climatizada no la vimos abierta ningún día. La nevera de la habitación era lo mejor, enfriaba muchisimo y las vistas desde la terraza. El resto, dejaba mucho que desear. Una pena, por que está en el centro del pueblo y la playa no está mal del todo. No tiene aparcamiento, y aparcar por alli es una odisea.

Vista deslumbrante....
Para quem pretende um hotel na praia este tem a localização perfeita.
No entanto há que contar com serviço de Recepção desleixado, serviço de Limpeza de quartos lento (em uma semana de hospedagem nunca consegui ter o quarto limpo antes das 14h; quando decidi fazer uma sesta após o almoço fiquei com o quarto por arrumar), péssima insonorização (a porta para o corredor tem frinchas que permite passar a luz e som do corredor), o WC apresenta lavatório fissurado, papel higienico de fraca qualidade, toalhas desconexas.
Toda a área social (entrada, salões) apresenta um ar desleixado (veja se as cadeiras das mesas de jogo, os jogos de tabuleiro em estado decrépito, as tomadas eléctricas "adaptadas", etc). O ar retrô poderia (e deveria) ser mantido aquando da renovação dos espaços.
De realçar a simpatia do staff do restaurante!
Embora eu soubesse que se trata de um hotel com 60anos ( e de bela arquitetura) presumi que estivesse conservado.
De 4estrelas só tem a vista e o preço.

En el buffet habia un señor de avanzada edad, por lo menos de apariencia, que si no eras portugues ni te atendia. Con bastantes pocas ganas de trabajar, solo cuando aparecia el jefe. Hay mucha gente con su edad que seguramente tenga muchas mas ganas de trabajar que esta persona.
Habitaciones muy viejas y el baño deberian reformarlo. Todo muy antiguo

Simples café pedido e servido ao balcão , provavelmente não estou habituado a este tipo de preços no neus pais. Mas se o Algarve é dos estrangeiros fico muito triste. Nao recomendo

Great location, decent balcony with lovely beach/sea views, close to centre with all shops bars and restaurants. Clean rooms, good shower, comfortable, but rooms a little basic. To be honest, we had ruled this hotel out on many other occasions because it was very expensive during the summer so we had expected a little more. There is better value in the area so for this reason we may not stay again.

Älteres aber sehr gepflegtes Hotel in absolut zentraler Lage. Die ansprechend renovierten Zimmer mit kostenlosem Safe sind geräumig und verfügen über einen phantastischen Meerblick. Die TV Programm Auswahl ist etwas dürftig, das kostenfreie Wlan funktioniert dafür aber einwandfrei. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ok, könnte jedoch etwas mehr Abwechslung vertragen. Das Personal ist ausnahmslos freundlich und überaus hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Wife and I spent a few days here for our anniversary in late February, and happy we did. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The new renovations look great, and feel modern, though there are still some growing pains, so to speak (our rain head shower popped open from the pressure). Our room was small but lovely and bright. The buffet breakfast and dinner were pretty good, and varied a little bit every day. As a north american, I missed having the ability to make coffee/tea in my room, but there is a cafe a few steps away if you need coffee before breakfast is available. The neighbourhood is a sleepy one, but the club district is just a few minutes walk away. The beach is beautiful. We would definitely come back to stay if we find ourselves in the area again.

Was here in Feb beginning, If ones looking for a quieter period with spring weather feeling like summer in the sun, and you want to grab a bargain .
The best place to stay . All rooms are sea view with a balcony so you don’t run the risk . Staff excellent.
Excellent room , clean and new, Daily turndown service. Apparently refurbed last year and looks immaculate .
We were on half board basis. Was good and the dinner was not the same every day .Bed extremely comfortable so much so you don’t feel like getting off.
Few points to consider, they do not have a parking. It’s street park your own and risk . As it’s Feb it’s quiet and was able to find spots even in front of the hotel . Most businesses were not opened hence you don’t find the crazy summer crowds. But instead you can appreciate the architectural walks .
Would highly recommend this place .
Ho don’t be fooled by the pool , you wouldn’t!!
Also they did not have tea coffee making facility in room or before breakfast in lobby,so had to pop out in the morning. (I had a chat with the manager when leaving and he did say its in the pipe line next month or so.
Loads of restaurants to choose from . And if your looking for night life it’s not the time of year. Also if you are a wheel chair user this hotel will be a challenge!!

Hotel rooms are really lovely, a good size, very clean and lovely views from the large balcony. Food was ok not a lot of choice but hot. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly.The only thing that lets the hotel down was a lack of outdoor pool and sunbeds, which was such a shame. The area is quite hilly but very near the square where all the bars and resturants are.

Fantastic short break in this hotel. Ideal location in the old town close to bars and restaurants but rooms face on to the beach making it very peaceful when you want it to be. First time in Albufeira in winter so much quieter than our previous summer visits. Would highly recommend everything about this hotel

My husband and I stayed here while on vacation in Albufeira. We highly-recommend this hotel. The hotel was in a great location in old town and right on the beach which provided a fantastic view from the nice sized balcony. We stayed during Christmas and the hotel hosted a gala which was lovely and entertaining.

조식은 그냥 나쁘지 않은 정도지만 레스토랑의 파노라믹 뷰도 너무 좋습니다 비수기라 저렴하게 예약해서 더 좋았구요
알부페이라 도시 자체가 비수기는 대부분의 레스토랑이 닫지만, CABANA FRESCA라는 레스토랑이 열어있어 다녀왔는데 해물밥이 맛있었습니다! 해피아워로 5시전에는 맥주가 저렴하고 칵테일이 5유로로 할인하네요(원래는 7.5유로)
호텔1층에는 바다와 연결된 호텔레스토랑겸 바가있는데
뷰도 좋고 바다보면서 빈백체어에 누워있으면 정말 편안합니다
맥주와 카프레제 시켜먹었는데 저는 너무 맛있었어요 한국에서 보다 저렴하지만, 고급진 바질페스토에 생 치즈가 듬뿍 구글후기는 그닥 좋지 않았는데 메뉴 선택을 잘 한 것 같아요
I simply chose this hotel since it’s a good name:). But I couldn’t help but loving them since they have spectacular view from every room and the lobby.
Room was perfectly clean and spacious enough.
It could be very noisy when there are people around the door or the room next to you.
It’s connected with a door.
Try to avoid the room near the elevator:)
Staff were friendly enough and helpful. I refused to get a room cleaning since I stayed for only two nights. But the maid offered to give me some more towels and stuff.

Stayed here last year and returned because it was so lovely. The refurbishment of the reception and bedrooms is superb. Fantastic service all round and a delicious buffet breakfast. Not to mention the views which are the best in the heart of Albufeira. Definitely coming back.

We have just returned from another fabulous holiday at the Solemar Hotel and it was our first stay since the refurbishment which I must add is beautiful. The always friendly and helpful staff made our holiday so enjoyable, the girls and guy in Reception, the bar staff with the lovely music entertainment in the evenings, the restaurant staff, the beach front restaurant, café and ice cream bar staff and the house keeping staff everyone so friendly and helpful in every way 100%
The Hotel is simply beautiful in the best location in Albufeira and is so relaxing with a lovely atmosphere just the place to chill out.

Gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Direkt am Strand. Das Frühstücksbuffett könnte besser sein, vorallem der Kaffee. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind sehr nett. Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber mit Blick auf das Meer.

Nous avons réservé avec mon mari une chambre dans cet hôtel avec une terrasse vue mer et avec un très grand lit
( 250 euros la nuit !)
Nous sommes arrivés, nous avons eu une chambre très bruyante, avec vue sur le toit d'un restaurant et avec 2 petits séparés.
La chambre est vieille et sale. Les draps ne sont pas changés tous les jours et il y a des cafards qui se baladent..
Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est inmangeable.
Les œufs sont froids et caoutchouteux, on se demande même s'ils ne sortent pas du congélateur. Le jus d'orange à un goût très chimique ...
Le personnel est très antipathique et n'accepte pas les remarques.
Le directeur raccroche au nez des clients.
PASSEZ VOTRE CHEMIN
si vous ne voulez pas être pris pour des pigeons en payant hors de prix pour un hôtel lamentable..

La chambre au top avec une vue incroyable sur la plage ! Seul bémol des fourmis dans la salle de bain.. Cela ne devait guère les déranger puisque qu’après leur avoir dit nous avons reçu une bombe anti fourmis dont l’effet n’a duré qu’un jour..Puis en partant l’accueil nous a simplement dit « oh elles ont senti que vous étiez sucrée.. ». Ensuite le petit déjeuné c’était pas... Pas copieux beaucoup de salé je comprend que les anglais apprécie mais quand même...Bref

Отель на свои четыре звезды вполне соответствует. Находится в самом центре города. Рядом куча всяких кафе в которых довольно вкусно готовят.В номере правда за семь прожитых нами дней убирали два раза. И на завтраке меню не изменилось ни на одно блюдо. Но шампанское было регулярно. Номера с балконами. Хотя под окнами кафе,но шума от него не слышно. Океан находится в 50 метрах от отеля. Лежак и зонтик на пляже стоят 10 евро. Очень не понятно почему нет крана с водой при выходе с пляжа. В связи с этим приходится таскать песок в номер. WiFi бесплатный и очень хороший. По телевизору есть 5 русских каналов.

Forse le ciabatte in camera e i teli mare? Colazione basic, essenziale. Praticamente nulla di dolce, ma perfetta per i nordici.

Unica nota positiva è l’ottima posizione, posto direttamente sulla spiaggia da un lato mentre dall’altro si affaccia sul centro storico. Le quattro stelle sono assolutamente immeritate. Struttura molto datata, le camere hanno tutte vista mare ma sono molto spartane, materassi e cuscini da buttare. Il rapporto costo qualità è pessimo. In giro è facile trovare alberghi a tre stelle meglio attrezzati e meno costosi.

Sehr schönes und sauberes Hotel. Mein Mann war auch sehr begeistert. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, Abendsessen leider fast immer das gleiche, trotzdem werden wir nächstes Jahr auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Hotel gehen. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel weiter.

Positiv: Frisch renovierte Zimmer und direkt am Strand.Negativ: Wird als Nichtraucher Hotel beworben, stellt aber auf den Balkonen Aschenbecher auf dadurch ist die Geruchsbelästigung sehr groß gerade nachts störend, irgendeiner raucht immer. Das Hotel selbst ist wenig interessiert an einer Veränderung der Situation. Daher für Familien eher ungeeignet. Das Frühstück und Abendessen und Ambiente entspricht eher Hostelstandard. Billardtisch ist leider auch nicht mehr wie beworben vorhanden. Personal spricht nur Englisch und Portugiesisch und keine weiteren Sprachen wie ebenfalls beworben.Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig.Die Bezeichnung Beachhotel ist verwirrend denn außer die Lage direkt am Strand bietet es nichts was ein Beachhotel sonst bietet. Kein Fußbad oder gar Dusche am Strand-Zugang vorhanden es werden keine Strandtücher und Schirme gestellt oder angeboten. Die auf der Internetseite beschriebenen Liegen mit Schirm gehören zu einem externen Unternehmen die mit dem Hotel nichts zu tun haben.Dieses Hotel macht Versprechungen das es nicht halten kann und ist preislich massiv überzogen, lediglich die Zimmer entsprechen (ohne Kocher und Kaffeemaschine fast 4-Sterne Standard. Der Rest ist internationaler 2-3 Sterne Standard.

Wer das Hotel nur für das Übernachten nutzen möchte, der liegt goldrichtig. Für einen Badeurlaub oder als Ausflugsstartpunkt ist das Hotel super.Frühstück und Abendessen können wir gar nicht empfehlen, auch zum längeren Verweilen lädt es nicht unbedingt ein. Einziger Vorteil: Halbpension war sehr günstig, jedoch gibt es wesentlich bessere Essensmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe, die man definitiv nutzen sollte. Fazit: Essen dort macht satt aber nicht glücklich.Auch der Service ist eher mau. Den Tisch beim Frühstück muss man sich meist selbst eindecken und benutztes Geschirr wird auch erst abgeholt wenn es sich zu sehr stapelt. Dabei sind meist drei bis vier Leute vor Ort. Die meisten sind bemüht freundlich zu sein, aber am Servicegedanken und -wissen fehlt es einfach. Auch beim Dinner sieht man das Personal nur, wenn die Getränke das erste Mal gebracht werden. Hier besteht definitiv Nachholbedarf.Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ist in Ordnung.Wir hatten ein Zimmer im ersten Stock. Es war relativ laut, da direkt unten drunter die Strandbar war. Lt. Aushang sollte die Bar nur bis 22 Uhr geöffnet haben, jedoch lief diese meist bis 23 Uhr oder länger. Zudem sitzen dort natürlich viele Gäste die sich entsprechend mehr oder weniger lautstark unterhalten. Offene Balkontür war also nur bedingt möglich. Ggf. nach einem Zimmer in einer höheren Region fragen.Die Strandliegen gehören leider nicht zum Hotel. Hier kommt direkt ein Geldeintreiber und möchte 15 Euro pro Liege.

Local muito agradável mas... os colchões de molas entrelaçadas são péssimos. Dormi mal, reclamei, desconversaram e forraram o meu colchão de cobertores. Uma pena. Seria uma alternativa bucólica ao movimento de Portimão. Mas é ruim. A comida também não ajuda mas isso importa menos porque há muitas outras opções.

Clean, but in need of some modernisation. Situated very close to the sea and very nice view of the sea from the rooms. The sea can be quite noisy at nights, particularly when rough, so light sleepers beware!
Dinner is a buffet and although reasonable, more options would be welcomed, particularly dessert options. Breakfast is normally very good but things like crêpes and fruit juice do not always get restocked.
WiFI is very hit and miss, particularly in the rooms where it borders on unusable so don't expect to be watching Netflix or any of the other streaming services.

Great staff both in the breakfast area and also the restaurante that is linked to the hotell in the ground floors. the rooms are big and i loved that we had a small hottub. the rooms could need an refresing but doe to the amazibg staff you get 5 stars from me and my son :) thank you so much fpr welcoming us with open arms

The hotel is on the sea front in the middle of the old town. The location is really good. The rooms have seen better days but the hotel is modernising them. The food (we are staying half board is ok), my wife is happy with it and she is picky! The staff are helpful if not overly friendly. This is our second stay in this hotel and we never stay the same place twice, so take that as a recommendation.

Stayed here for 10 days. Weather was 24 degrees feel factor ...amazing for January.Its an old hotel built in 1960 and has all original 60s fittings and style. It would have been glorious when new and is well maintained. If you dont mind old fashioned its fine. The location is fantastic on the beach overlooking the pale blue sea.Very big rooms on 6 floors all have sea view. Clean on the 6th floor but tatty on the first floor.
Big bath and old fashionex shower loads of boiling water clean sheets every 2 days and lots of towels clean evry day. The dining room is again oldi worldi but good food not masses of choice but starters consisted of large prawn and mussles salads etc, main courses were salmon turkey beef halibut chantonay carrots lovely veg and choice of 4 gataues with ice cream etc.
Surrounding the hotel a short 5 min walk is fishermens beach with lovely cheap restaurants and bars overlooking the sea. Local beer 1 euro and English breakfast 3.5 euro. Shops surround the area 2 mins away.
Big open air restaurant on ground floor of hotel to purchase lunch if half board extensive menue. Drinks in hotel 3.50 for a large beer. There is a wrap around balcony on the 4th floor to sit oht and watch the gorgeous ocean and sunsets. We paid 400 each for 10 days.
Im really fussy ...A minimilist .....would I go again? At that money every time.

The best things in the Albufeira are the beach and the Old Town and Hotel Sol E Mar puts you next to both of them! Excellent location right on the beach with a direct access to the beach by your hotel elevator is certainly a BIG advantage. The hotel is very clean but quite dated. So, don't expect too many amenities in the room or in the lobby even. All the rooms are only twin bed! No safe or locker in the room but you know you can rent it out! No hair dryer but had you can borrow it from the reception (seriously )! The breakfast is very basic and if you are in your fifties, you might be the youngest among the guests. Well this place is frequented by senior citizens. The best part of the hotel is that every room is same and has same view of the sea. So, don't worry about, which room to choose from. Of course there is no official car park but you might get some place around for the parking. As such, you can't drive in the old town, so hold on to your parking place. Overall, this is a clean, good, OLD PLACE to stay in the old Town of Albufeira and directly on the beach.

Really good Seaview rooms. Lovely food! Best to get half board, trust me! All rooms are twin beds, as I've been told by hotel staff, which was our only problem during the stay, plus the bed are not that soft. Even so, I won't hesitate to book again if I'm in town!

As 3 estrelas da classificação devem-se a localização e a simpatia do pessoal.
O hotel tem uma localização excelente a sul, o que faz com que todos os quartos, varandas, salas, e esplanadas apanhem sol todo o dia, de nascente a poente, com uma posição invejável.
Para um hotel de 4 estrelas, o pequeno almoço é pobre, com café instantâneo de máquina em que fica o sabor do instantâneo intragável, o sumo também ele industrial fica a saber a remédio, apenas o buffet quente é aceitável.
Ao jantar eles tem um serviço muito bom com buffet de saladas e sobremesas, prato de pasta/massas e com sopa, prato de peixe e de carne aceitável. A comida estava muito bem confeccionada.
O pessoal do hotel foi muito atencioso conosco e tambem muito paciente com as crianças. Excelente.
Recomendo, mas sem muitas espectativas quanto ao número de estrelas.

Very disappointing the only reason it would be 4* would be because of its position. Food choice poor ,rooms very dated bed falling to pieces bathroom old shower didnt get hot. No outside sitting had to pay 15€ to use the beds on the beach even though they were part of the hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Very miss leading about the transport to the hotel yes they do arrange it but tell you that you are charged for it when you get there. In real need of being updated could be a lovely hotel.

Die Zimmer müssten dringend renoviert werden. Es hatte unangenehme, mit Schaumstoffstücken gefüllte Kissen, die Steckdosen waren zum Teil mangelhaft und es hatte allgemein zu wenig davon. Badezimmer: keine normale Steckdose, Föhn musste an der Rezeption verlangt werden. Im Badezimmer hat es kaum Ablagefläche, der Duschenschlauch war kaputt (wurde trotz Meldung nicht geflickt oder ersetzt). Kleiner, unsauberer Kühlschrank ohne Minibar-Inhalt. Allgemein zu wenig Ablagefläche / Stauraum im Zimmer, Schrank war mit Kissen und Decken vollgestopft. Das Sofa war schmuddelig, lud nicht zum Sitzen ein. Der Safeschlüssel kostet 15 Euro zusätzlich pro Woche. Ein sehr lautes Generator-Geräusch (oder ähnlich) störte uns auch in der Nacht. Der Balkon, samt Tisch und Stühlen,war völlig verschmutzt durch Möwendreck, trotz Meldung wurde nicht zufriedenstellend gesäubert.

Although the decoration was dated, the hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bed was quite hard and the sheets weren't quite large enough to cover the bed, but overall I'd return for the great location... right on the beach and beside a variety of shops and restaurants.

Hôtel vieillot, chambre ultra simple et mal insonorisée, odeurs sdb.... l'unique chaîne francophone (TF1) est aussi la seule sans son.... Le petit déjeuner est correct mais toujours identique. Le buffet du soir est trop simple et manifestement adapté aux nombreux touristes anglais ! La plupart des membres du personnel est sympathique et certains parlent le français. La piscine... couverte et ENCLAVEE entre le bar et la terrasse ! Les seuls points positifs : la vue sur l'océan, la proximité du centre tout en étant au calme. Cher payé....

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand und für eine reine Übernachtung ist es OK. Gemäss unserer Buchung gibt es Parkplätze im Hotel, dem ist leider nicht so (sind im November ausserhalb der Saison verreist und die Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel waren immer belegt). Leider wurde im Gebäude seit Jahrzehnten nichts mehr erneuert. Matrzatzen sind unangenehm, in unserem Zimmer sind teilweise die Steckdosen und Telefonanschlüssen aus der Wand gefallen. Bettüberzug war schmutzig, wurde schnell ausgewechselt.Personal an der Rezeption war eher unfreundlich, gegenüber den Langzeitgästen war man weitaus freundlicher. Das Frühstücksbuffet war zwar abwechlsungsreich, nach dem ersten Begutachten haben wir uns aber entschieden, ein Brot beim Bäcker zu holen. Das Essen sah nicht frisch aus, kam aus der Dose und der Kaffee war ungeniessbar.Für den Preis bei dieser Lage kann man wohl nicht mehr verlangen.

Das Hotel ist nicht empfehlenswert und uralt. In den letzten Jahrzehnten wurde nichts erneuert, ausser dem überteuerten Preis. Als wir ankamen durften wir unsere schweren Koffer über 4 verwinkelte Treppen auf unser Zimmer schleppen. Dort empfing uns der starke Toilettengeruch. Die Einrichtung abgewrackt. Die Matratzen sind so hart, dass wir morgens wie gerädert aufgestanden sind. Die Leselampe defekt, der Sonnenschirm auf dem Balkon defekt, die Fugen der Fenster verschimmelt usw. Das Frühstück war unterirdisch, selbst die Margarine, Marmelade, das Rührei ungeniessbar.Gelangweiltes Personal, das achtlos an jedem leeren Salz,- und Pfefferstreuer langschlenderte.und darauf bedacht war nichts zu säubern. Die Getränke ekelhaft, man muss einen starken Magen haben um sich nicht an den versifften Geräten was einzuholen. Jeden Abend das gleiche Buffet, selbst Kartoffeln, Reis, Rosenkohl nicht geniessbar. Wir waren froh, als wir abreisen konnten, da half es auch nichts, dass das Hotel am Strand liegt.

We were slightly disappointed when arrived to the hotel by the hotel providing no parking spaces, for a fee or otherwise. We had to park in an unsupervised parking lot approximately 0.5 miles down the street. When booking on Travelocity, the hotel was advertised as having parking available.The staff at the reception was nice, speaking very good English, and considerate enough to send a breakfast tray to our room free of charge, when informed that we will be leaving before scheduled breakfast time.The room itself was spacious, but old and very simple (a motel 8 type simple), despite the hotel attempts to make it more appealing by the new tile in the bathroom. There was no hair drier available.But the most disappointing fact by far was that our room was directly above the hotel bar, which continued to play loud music all through the night, even after the bar had closed. When we left for the airport at 5:30 am, the music was still playing! Lesson learned: if you want to sleep at night, pick something farther from the beach!

Decepcionante para lo caro que es (224€ la noche). Cuartos de baño muy antiguos. Habitación muy antigua. Sin parking. Vistas desde la cafetería OK. Venimos de una ruta de 5000 KM estando en 11 hoteles suizos, italianos, españoles y franceses, el más caro con diferencia el sol e mar, y el peor.
No lo recomiendo.

Stopped for drink on way home from dinner in old town after investigating the beach tunnel. Great location, nice looking cocktail shack and comfy seats. Waitress very helpful in us ordering drinks and quick to serve. On looking to purchase a 2nd set there was no sign of Waitresses so ordered at the cocktail bar. Bad mistake. Head barman had a full blown tantrum to himself when I asked for a single shot of rum. "We only sell shots of sambuca, tequila or whiskey". No problem says I, but then obliges as I walk away, screaming at his young assistant to serve me. Shouting a number of angry things in Portuguese and slamming bottles and glasses around whilst I'm at the bar inc. at the obviously intimidated young guy serving me. Young guy asks how much to charge and the guys tantrum gets even worse. We are charged 6 Euros for a shot! Felt bad for the guy serving as he was clearly uncomfortable working with the head cocktail guy. Paid up and left. Wish we hadn't bothered. In all my time I have never met such an arrogant and rude member of staff. Avoid establishment at all costs as there are so many better choices.

Le choix de cet hôtel fut lemplacement sur la plage. Comme déjà exprimé, ce nest pas un 4*. Les matelas rigides, peu de produits de toilette, petites enveloppes de gel de douche, certains jours, une seule pour 2 personnes, savons minuscules. A la réception, personnel accueillant mais certains jours, expéditifs pour nous informer. Petit déjeuner complet mais répétitif. Aurait besoin de rajeunissement pour justifier le prix. Je recommande si votre importance est la situation sur la plage, comme nous.

Simply the best located hotel in Albufeira. All rooms have sea view, air conditioning, satelite tv, mini-fridge and wifi is available in the whole hotel.
They have a great restaurant with buffet on the top floor with an amazing view over Albufeira main beach. There's also a snall indoor swimming pool and a comfortable café and restaurant with a large terrace on the ground floor right next to the beach.

Rezeption englischsprachig, überwiegend hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das zugewiesene Zimmer auf unterster Ebene roch aus Rohrleitungen des Bades fürchterlich. Nach Beschwerde konnten wir auf gleicher Ebene ein anderes Zimmer beziehen. Im Bad fehlender Föhn wird von Rezeption ausgehändigt. Steckdose im Bad ist für Föhn nicht geeignet. Nach Auskunft der Rezeption nur für Rasierapparat. Meine Frau fand es nicht gut, dass neben dem Spiegel des Zimmers keine Steckdose gegeben war. Bad stark renovierungsbedürftig. Matratzen halbwegs i.O. Schöner Meerblick vom Balkon. Zimmerreinigung haben wir bereits deutlich besser erlebt. Hatten nur ÜF gebucht. Frühstück wiederholt sich, jedoch gar nicht so schlecht. Meine Weiterempfehlung dieses Hotels gab es nur auf Grund des von uns gezahlten sehr günstigen Preises (also nur bedingt).

If your looking for a beach side hotel, this location can't be beat.. Elevator from the hotel down to the beach, you won't find that anywhere else!
Rooms are older but we didn't mind as we didn't spend much time in there. We would definitely go back!

Hotel built right into the cliff face, every room overlooking the beach. Beautiful views! Friendly and accommodating staff. Good selection of food and drinks available in both the bar area and restaurants.

Voted Albufeira best ice cream...by me. I have become increasingly lactose intolerant and I would down a whole bottle of pills before giving this place up. Lots of flavors are going to try to entice you. They're all good. If it's your first or your only visit, you MUST order the salted crack caramel. This is a decision you will regret if you stray from my advice and then take a lick of your rule abiding pal's cone. Now that I'm a regular, I like to mix the salted crack caramel with the Mexican hot chocolate. Salty, sweet, spicy, horny. Put this in your mouth.

4 weken een heel prettig verblijf gehad,alleen de kakkerlakken op de kamer waren heel vies en heel groot...ongeveer 8a9 cm.
Een maar een kakkerlak gebracht naar de receptie met verzoek de bedrijfsleider te spreken,maar niet gezien en niets meer gehoord !!!.

Muy buena relación calidad precio, por 21 € es mucho más de lo que se puede pedir. Wifi sólo en el hall. Cuidado con el pago de las autovías en Portugal.

Tremendamente caro para lo que es. Hace 20 años no sería mal hotel pero los hoteles tienen que renovarse. Lo mejor, las vistas desde cafeteria, (desde la habitación no son lo mismo) y lo peor, el baño (parece que no se ha renovado en bastante tiempo). A pesar de ser hotel de 4 estrellas parece más una pensión.

rummen var ljusa och fräscha med gott om förvaringsutrymme, garderober, och ett kylskåp. rymligt badrum. alla rum har utsikt mot havet och rymlig balkong. bra frukost, matsalen dock i behov av upprustning. stor och trevlig bar med levande musik och möjlighet till dans. trevlig personal. tillgång till fri wifi i allmänna utrymmen. vi bokar nog detta hotell igen.
- dyr safety-box. mörk och inte direkt tilltalande reception. svårt att hitta parkeringsplats till bil, till hotellet hörde endast en plats som alltid var upptagen.

the hotel, in general and rooms has seen better days. saying that it is clean, no bad smells, has entertainment every night* and the most fantastic sea views.(*not my taste but at least it was provided and many seemed to enjoy it)
the circular bar was a hit with my group of 20+ golfers, and also breakfast although not the best ever had enough to satisfy even the fussiest of us all.
it is ideally positioned for an easy walk to the square and old town and depending where you end up, a short climb back.
all said it was a really good hotel adaquate for our needs or anyone wanting 2-3 star comfort, rather than 5 star luxury.
considering my previous hotel stay had been a suite in the shangri-la sydney, it certainly as value for money outstripped that! the view was every bit as good as the opera house and harbour bridge, both easily seen from the room in sydney!

Dette hotel er med dets beliggehed et perfekt udgangspunkt for en ferie for hele familien. Der er nem adgang til både strand (direkte) og byen (direkte). Det kan varmt anbefales at tage på ture i området, bl.a. jeep safari, som er en fantastisk mulighed for at se noget af det "rigtige" Algarve, både levevis og natur.

Bästa läget i Albufeira, granne med Atlanten. Alla rum med havsutsikt. Man ser stranden, klipporna och havet från balkongen och hör vågornas brus hela tiden. Underbart. Man åker hiss längst ner och går via en trappa direkt ut på stranden. Här finns också tunneln till centrum och en samlingsplats med sittplatser. Rummet var bra och badrummet rymligt. Dock var sängarna alldeles för hårda och vi saknade en fåtölj. Hela hotellet var välstädat och handdukarna byttes varje dag. Bra med kylskåp på rummet. Trist engelsk frukost med tråkigt bröd. Vi blev stamgäster på liten portugisisk restaurang på samma gata som hotellet och med samma härliga utsikt över hav och strand från terassen. I centrum är det väldigt turistinriktat, mycket mer än när vi var där för drygt 10 år sedan. Känns jobbigt med alla påträngande och envisa inkastare till restaurangerna. Många turistbutiker med samma innehåll.
