Edited as a reply: Luiz, if you’re worried about that behaviour, I suggest you train your workers to handle these situations without recurring to discrimination. As the other family was british, they couldn’t understand what Cristina said and she wasn’t shy about it, but I could and decided to leave this comment five months ago. So it is not about getting to know you or your business, but about good practices that you should be fostering and about accountability for workers that do not align with them. That would be a friendly approach to the problem, not worrying whether someone is unfriendly towards discrimination. I will always be unfriendly in these cases I was waiting in store to get my contact lenses when a family comes in and is immediately profiled by one of the workers, Cristina. They were british indian, so they didn’t understand what she was saying and she wasn’t shy about letting the rest of the shop now. She left me on the counter and went to ask the other worker to help her keep an eye on them. Another client comes in, she tells her to wait a minute because she didn’t want them stealing anything. Luckily the other worker was decent and helped them out. But i was so uncomfortable with her reaction towards a family and what felt like racial profiling that I left and I’m never coming back. If that behaviour is appalling to you as well, avoid this shop.
