Zeer schoon en mooi modern hotel met klassieke details. Strakke kamer met mooi uitzicht en klassiek frans balkon. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Goede bar en restaurant in het hotel. Ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid. Het hotel ligt midden in het centrum naast de beroemde brug. Wat een fantastische plek om alles op loopafstand te bezichtigen. De kamer waar ik verbleef was niet groot maar van alle gemakken voorzien. Bedankt Carris Porto Ribeira voor het topverblijf!

Ottimo albergo, quasi sul fiume. Camere e bagno all'altezza delle 4 stelle che merita tutte. Personale gentile, non parla italiano, fortunatamente il portoghese si capisce facilmente .Ottima colazione nel piano interrato. Ero al terzo piano, anche se sulla strada molto trafficata, si riusciva a dormire tranquillamente. Avevo una camera carris, non base.

Great location and friendly staff but understaffed house keeping. Left seveal doors open at a time while cleaning. Thank goodness there was a safe. Great view with balcony but floors were never cleaned & walls were thin. Not sure I'd stay again.

Lage Super. Hatten Junior Suite, daher Zimmer auch von der Größe okay.Zimmerbereitstellung sehr spät, erst nach 17:00 Uhr.Augenscheinlich an anderen Tagen, scheint dies Usus zu sein.Aufzugsbetrieb permanent überfordert, wohnten in +3, Frühstück in -3 Etage. Ansonsten war das Hotel für unsere Städtereise super.

Pues la verdad la estancia no fue para nada buena,pedimos 3 noches,con cama de matrimonio que se que no es una obligacion ponerla pero estando sin la ocupación llena hubiese sido un detalle....El primer problema viene nada más entrar en la habitación,el WC estaba con restos de orina seco,encima de la mesilla había un suero usado y en la papelera habia comida,papeles,hasta un documento bancario,nos pareció lamentable que un hotel 4 estrellas que en esa zona era de los más caros,cometa este tiempo de errores,desde luego no volveré a usar esta cadena.Luego por un "problema" informativo cada mañana teníamos que ir a recepción a que configurasen las tarjetas para poder abrir nuestra puerta.Otro par de detalles es que a nuestra llegada en el baño había el estuche para guardar los clenex de baño y estaba vacio,y alado de los jabones ponia que tenian peine,maquinilla y cepillo de dientes pero sólo habían dejado el cepillo,el resto nada.Después de la primera noche el jabón tampoco lo repusieron.Como se pueden ver en mi críticas no acostumbro a dejar malas valoraciones puesto que tuve siempre mucha suerte pero este caso me parece el peor y más tratandose de un 4 estrellas de una cadena de "prestigio",ni volveré ni lo recomendaré desde luego

시내에 존재하고 오토바이 경기가 있어서 호텔접근이나 관광에 불편을 주었지만 시설이나 서비스해 주시는 분들이 너무 친절하고 편안하게 해주어서 너무 좋았습니다. 아마도 이곳에 다시 온다면 이곳에서 다시 묶을 예정입니다. 그리고 어제 저녁에 먹는 스프와 고기가 맛있었습니다. 같이 나온 10년 포르토와인이 정말 좋았습니다.

Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt nur wenige Schritte von der Promenade, den Restaurants und den Schiffstouren am Douro. Saubere und ruhige, eher kleine Zimmer in sehr schönem Gebäude. Sympathisch: gratis Mineralwasser in den Zimmern und bei der Abreise. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

The location for this hotel is very central in the old City and just a small walk from the Douru river. It's located by one of the big streets in the old City and therefore we expected some noise. We've been surprised that the hotel have chosen a door that is in no way closing all the way and therefore we could just as easy have slept in a tent by the side of the road.

Buen Lounge Bar para tomarse unos gin - tonic. Copas bien preparadas y normal de precio. Dos Gin Tonic (Bulldog y Hendriks) a 20€. Si te apetece un sitio un poco más tranquilo en la zona de la ribeira está fantástico. El trato de los camareros muy bien.

Bona conjunció de l'antic i el modern, respectant la història dels diferents edificis. Agradable i càlida la decoració minimalista. En general els espais son molt acollidors. Excel.lent i servicial el tracte de tot el personal un 10/10. Molt ben situat i tranquil. El recomano. Si torno a Porto hi repetire la estada.

Tres bel hôtel, très bien situé dans le centre historique et proche du Douro. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très bien achalandés et très bon. Les salons disposés un peu partout dans l'établissement sont très beaux.
Le point négatif était la fermeture du bar pour cause de travaux pendant notre séjour. Si nous comprenons les travaux pour rendre plus joli le bar, nous aurions apprécié être prévenus avant notre séjour et pas le découvrir en arrivant. L'autre défaut est le bruit même nocturne de la rue. Les fenêtres semblent légères et laissent passer tout le bruit. Les photos ci jointes représentent la vue depuis la chambre d'hôtel. Par contre aucune vue sur le Douro de ce côté ci. Très peu de chambres en disposent.

We aren’t staying at the formal hotel. We are staying at some very nice apartments that the hotel is associated with. The apartment is very nice and has stairs that wind up to a very high-up loft. The entire apartment has large windows that offer a panoramic view, we are on the top floor (fourth floor) and have unimpeded panoramic views down to the water. The hotel is in a very good location and very secure. We had to go through three different doors, all with security codes, to get to our room. There are also cameras everywhere (in the hallways, not you actual room) that ensure your safety.

Very nice, clean, newly renovated hotel in as good a location as you can get in Porto. We asked for a room with a view, and got exactly what we hoped for. This was on the third floor, so recommend you ask for a river view room on the third floor or higher.

Very good location for all the usual tourist haunts. Central to it all. Very clean very friendly English speaking staff. Food was delicious. Be warned if you have a front room that the main road is directly below you. It seems that the Portuguese love motorbikes particularly Harley Davidson which do boom all through the night

El mejor lugar donde quedarse en Oporto Bel personal es excelente y super entregado. Nos recibieron con una copita de Oporto y una sonrisa de oreja a oreja. Las habitaciones están perfectamente decoradas y en un estado excelente. Rafael es sin duda uno de los mejores recepcionistas con los que me he topado.

... nach längerer Parkplatzsuche fanden wir in Gaia einen Parkplatz wo wir das Auto für 3 trage stehen lassen konnten... das Hotel hat leider keine eigenen Parkplätze... so ist man bei der Ankunft erstmal auf sich gestellt... wir waren im Dezember da ... mag mir nicht vorstellen wie das in der Hauptsaison aussehen soll...denn jetzt ist es schon chaotisch.
... Begrüßung im Hotel war sehr nett... sehr zuvorkommend... toller Eindruck... zur Begrüßung gab es für jeden ein Glas Portwein!
... das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet... aber sehr klein
... von außen drangen keine Geräusche ins Hotel... bezüglich der Nachbarzimmer konnte man allerdings Stimmen Türen etc sehr deutlich hören... und saß ggf das ein oder andere mal aufrecht im Bett, als die Nachbarschaft in der Nacht heim kehrte.
Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet!

Serviço ruím, não há ajuda sobre onde estacionar para poder descarregar a bagagem, refere convênio com estacionamento mas o desconto é apenas simbólico 20 euros diária do carro, café da manhã simples e com mosquitos no suco de laranja, copos mal lavados ( precisei trocar 4x até encontrar um limpo) além de cobrar 32 euros no café da manhã sem aviso previo do valor.
Solicitamos 1 taça para tomar um vinho no quarto e nos cobraram 5 euros para poder usar a taça.
Quarto minúsculo com pequena vista para a ponte.
Quarto com goteira ! Parece até mentira... mas infelizmente não é. Este hotel só nos trouxe decepção.

Apesar de ter ótima localização peca em Alguns aspectos...
No dia que chegamos estava chovendo e o hotel não há local de embarque e desembarque e nem estacionamento... sofremos um pouco para descarregar o carro e fazer o check in...
Já no quarto e com uma vista maravilhosa o banheiro estava horrível... O ralo do box não dava conta da água e vazava tudo pra fora, fora isso o box do banheiro é MUITO pequeno, desconfortável e impossível para pessoas altas ou gordinhas. Ou seja, foram 3 dias sem tomar banho com com conforto que o hotel oferecia. Não recomendo!

Buenas vistas si te alojas en una habitación con vistas al río,(porcierto la habitación 412tiene en el baño un extractor de aire que hace un ruido tremendo a todas horas) pero como te alojes en la 4 planta para bajar a desayunar al -3 tienes que madrugar para poder cojer el ascensor tan sólo hay una para muchísima personas, si llegas en coche ( DIOS MIO) no tienes donde poner el coche unos minutos para sacar las maletas , ( el personal muy agradable y profesional) pero después sales a pasear por la ciudad y te encuentras a su gente tan maravillosa y agradable ( volveré seguro en otro momento)

Mooi hotel in populaire wijk Ribeira. 5 min loopafstand van de Douro. Mooie, schone ruime kamer, sanitair goed en modern, uitzicht op steegje, jammer maar hey als je de stad wilt zien, ga je naar buiten!
Veel restaurants in deze wijk, de kleinere straatjes hebben de iets minder toeristische restaurants.

Interesting and funky adaption of historical buildings in a fantastic location. Right beside the river and close to good eateries as well as an accessible position for walking to all old city historical sights. Beside a taxi rank too for airport transfer. Staff were all helpful, professional, warm and friendly. Would love to return to the Carris and Porto.

Für einen Phantasiepreis von 728 Euro/Frühstück/4Tage erhält man grottenschlechten Service: Die einfache Bitte, statt einer Bettdecke für zwei Personen doch eine zweite zu erhalten wurde mehrfach schlicht nicht verstanden, als ob wir dort die ersten Mitteleuropäer dort gewesen wären. Die Frühstücksorganisation darf man als chaotisch darstellen: Viel zu viele Gäste auf einem Raum. Die Enge des überfüllten Raumes bewirkt, dass das Nachholen von Frühstücksutensilien sehr lange dauert, häufig ging auch nur einer von zwei Kaffeeautomaten. Das Personal überfordert und abwehrend: Beim Frühstück wurde einem ein Tisch zugewiesen - wenn einer frei war. Die Begrüßung in einem temporär ausgelasteten Frühstücksraum war "It´s compilcated!" Sorry dass wir Ihre Gäste sind ;-). Die Räume wurden ebenfalls nicht täglich gemacht/aufgeräumt. Eine freundliche Nachfrage gegen 17.00 wurde mit einem "Don´t worry" (häufig formulierte Wendung) erwidert, eine Nachfrage nach zwei Stunden wurde sinngemäß beantwortet mit: Ich hatte doch gesagt, dass es ein Problem mit den Zimmermädchen gibt.
Der Gast ist hier nach meiner Wahrnehmung nicht willkommen. Sorry, aber nie wieder.

Spent 2 nights here.. would stay again as comfy rooms and great location for exploring Puorto. It is a bit of a warren inside as it is a converted quayside warehouse but beautifully restored. Lovely bar area.

Lo unico que tengo para decir es que la habitación estaba en una parte renovada de uno de los 5 edificios que integran el hotel. La habitación era claramente para personas con movilidad reducida, y si bien era cómoda no tenía donde colgar una toalla ni apoyar el jabon, lo que resultaba un poco incómodo.No repusieron el café o té ningún día. El desayuno era excesivamente caro: Eur 17 por persona.Y un día no hubo agua por varias horas pero vamos a darles el beneficio de la duda y que eso era responsabilidad del ayuntamiento de Porto.

- gute Lage
KONTRA:
- keine Vorfahrt vorhanden, um Gepäck aus dem Auto ausladen zu können
- Zimmer sind hellhörig. In Treppennähe hört man jeden Schritt auf dem Treppenlauf.
- Frühstücksraum besitzt keine angenehme Atmosphäre, was zum Teil an der nicht ausreichenden Größe für die vielen Gäste liegt. Zeitweise muss man warten bis einem ein Tisch zugewiesen werden kann.
- teilweise keine Dusche sondern nur Badewannendusche vorhanden, keine Haltegriffe zum Ausstieg aus der Badewanne vorhanden
- unbequeme Federkernmatratze bei der die einzelnen Federn spürbar sind
- hoher Preis
FAZIT:
- Für fitte Leute ohne Knie- und Hüftprobleme geeignet
- Für kurze Aufenthalte

No 4 star. Location, very good. Near the center of it all. Stone's throw from all the wineries across Douro river. Close to many restaurants. Reception if good at front desk, efficient and friendly. Parking: non existant if you come by car, good luck finding a spot near hotel. Had to park car across the river. Room: Tiny, Tiny, Tiny. Unacceptably small, even by European standards. Cleanliness: very clean. WiFi very slow. Definetly not a 4 star hotel.

È molto comodo pertanto alla zona dei ristoranti e caffè caratteristici che si situano sulla riva destra del Douro, allo scenografico ponte in ferro ed alla riva sinistra anch'essa ricca di cantine e locali, oltre che gas e di partenza per le crociere sul fiume. Davanti all'hotel c'è un punto di partenza dei taxi e nelle vicinanze ci sono anche le fermate dei bus della società Porto sightseeing. Per arrivare qui in taxi dall'aeroporto si pagano circa 25 euro.
Le camere sono veramente essenziali, e quelle basic sono piccole e con "vista muro", nel senso che danno su angusti cavedii, e sono quindi praticamente prive di illuminazione naturale. Rompendo energicamente le scatole io sono riuscita a farmela cambiare con una dotata di luce naturale, ma c'è voluta tutta la mia determinazione, che non è poca...
Sono comunque tutte dotate di tv a schermo piatto, minibar e cassaforte.
La sala della colazione è anch'essa priva di luce naturale, dato che da su un vicolo angusto. Non ho trovato la colazione entusiasmante (il caffè è indegno di tale nome, è impossibile ottenere una spremuta di limone e cose del genere), però è abbastanza varia.
Il personale è molto gentile, disponibile e decisamente efficiente. La quarta stella è grazie a loro.

Trotz super zentraler Lage und an einer sehr befahrenen Strasse hatten wir, ein Paar, in diesem grossen Hotel, das aber charmant unterteilt ist, ein sehr ruhiges Superieur Zimmer.Frühstückbuffet war perfekt und die Inneneinrichtung des Hotels sehr stylisch!

Pagamos por dos habitaciones casi iguales (99 y 119) precios diferentes. El baño tiene vista a la habitación salvo que lo cierres con una persiana. Viajo con una persona mayor con bastón. La habitación con bañera, y por eso no se pudo bañar, no era accesible para ella.
Algo complicado el acceso a habitación porque son edificios anexos. En las dos habitaciones eran buhardillas. Ruido o de los motores de aire acondicionado (aunque estuvieran apagados) o bien habrá unos motores encima del tejado que se escuchan en la noche. Nos levantaron a las 8 las obras del edificio de al lado.

Location is excellent. Rooms are small. I wouldn’t recommend eating breakfast here. Instead, go to a local bakery for a breakfast. Receptionists are super friendly. There’s cheap parking lot on the other side of river.

La iltima vez que estuvimos fue en el hotel Pestana en la misma Ribeira. Exelente hotel, pero la diferencia calidad/precio con el Carris es mejor. Algo a mejorar. La insonorización de las habitaciones. Es una zona muy ruidosa y las ventanas no aislan lo suficiente.

Bueno pues el hotel en general regular, muy buen trato, eso sí.
La habitación muy pequeña, no me parece nada bien que por el precio que se paga te den una habitación en la que no te puedes mover.
Otra pega es el no tener donde dejar el coche, y el parking que te ofrecen es carísimo, 25 € diarios, y lo peor, que cuando llegas o te vas, no hay donde dejar el coche para coger las maletas, te tienes que buscar la vida...
Y por si fuera poco, te cobran una tasa de 2€ por persona y noche....
Creo que no vamos a volver ....

Boa localização, staff amigável e atenciosa, principalmente o senhor que me recebeu durante a madrugada quando cheguei do aeroporto. Comida boa e lugar limpo, arrumado e internet rápida. Único ponto que eu diria ser negativo é a necessidade de pagar uma taxa de 5 euros extras se você necessitar que algum funcionário leve alguma coisa no quarto de alimentação ou bebida ( mesmo uma garrafa de água ). Isso para mim que vinha do Brasil foi inesperado.

Este Hotel é encantador...
Super cuidado, muito elegante, as pessoas que trabalham e com quem nos cruzamos, uma simpatia enorme.
Inclusive aquando o check-out o senhor da receção estava muito preocupado com um casal que também estava de saída e chovia imenso e toda a sua atenção para com eles, marcou e só me fez ficar ainda mais satisfeita.
Sem dúvida que o Hotel é incrível, mas como em qualquer local, são as pessoas que melhoram tudo.

A pesar de estar en estado de alerta y no poder viajar a Portugal, no han querido hacernos un reembolso o darnos un bono para canjear más adelante. Me parece una falta total de visión empresarial porque desde luego, después de esto, cuando podamos viajar, no nos alojaremos en su hotel.
Teníamos otras reservas en Portugal (visitas a bodegas, tours...) y sin decirles nada, nos enviaron un email indicándonos que cancelaban la actividad y nos reembolsaban el dinero. ¡Eso sí que es ser buen empresario!

Right, so the location is amazing. Just go around the corner and you are at the waterfront at the restaurants and bars along the Douro. The breakfast buffet has everything you could want and although pricy compared to some other hotels still worth it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had all the amenities and a very clever layout (with the TV on the wall and a sofa in between it and the bed so that it felt like a mini lounge when watching). The hotel bar is welcoming in a comfy way but still seems elegant and the prices I paid were very fair.
Recommended for both business and pleasure in Porto. I will return for sure.

A centralidade do hotel é uma mais valia. O grande senão é a falta de parqueamento, com um a 50 metros e muito caro para uma estadia de fim de semana. Durante a noite pode ter uma vizinhança barulhenta devido à existência de um bar em frente ao hotel. O isolamento térmico dos quartos não é fantástico e durante a noite, em Dezembro, sentiu-se frio.
A sala de pequeno almoço é muito pequena para os horários mais frequentados e parte dos produtos não foram repostos.
Há melhores opções para estadia de fim de semana na cidade do Porto.

The position of this hotel is excellent- really convenient for the main square by the river and also accessible for the newer bits of the town. The hotel is generally very smart and the renovation of the old buildings has been done with attention to the original features; some lovely exposed stone walls for example. The bar area is pleasant and we sat here two or three nights for a drink before or after going out to eat. The prices were reasonable too...comparable with bars in the town. Our room was supposed to be a superior one and although it was large and smartly fitted out it was an odd shape with only one small narrow window at one end meaning that the other end where the bed is was very dark and completely lacking in natural light. There were two good sized wardrobe/ cupboards but only one of these had a hanging rail and it only had 6 hangers. There were no drawers anywhere either, despite there being plenty space for stand alone ones in a range of places. There was no dressing table just a large table- again this seemed like an odd use of space. There was a large full length mirror by the door but the poor lighting here meant that the only real place to do make up etc was in the bathroom. The bathroom was a good size and the shower excellent with a large rain shower and a hand held option. However there was no extractor fan meaning that it was a rather steamy affair for the second user! Had a great stay...just some odd design choices that could be easily be remedied.

Un hôtel très bien placé à côté du port, nous avons été très bien accueilli. Une chambre plutôt spacieuse et une assez grande salle de bain pour deux personnes. Le rapport qualité/prix du petit-déjeuner en vaut largement la peine (une multitude de choix entre salé et sucré). Le personnel parle aussi un peu français. Il ny aurait rien à redire sur cet hôtel ! Pour les dormeurs sensibles il y a juste un peu de bruit le soir, mais avec mon compagnon nous avons passé un très agréable séjour.

Beautiful Hotel. The staff is discreet but always there to give you informations, good services and help. The decoration is modern and mostly clean. The breakfast served in the morning is delicious ! Be careful to stay at this hotel!
The hotel is the worst that I have had in the whole world, the reason is as below,
1.l pay the money on two carris rooms, but we got two rooms in different size（one is basic, another is carris）. The staff said basic and carris rooms are standard rooms. Then why should I pay higher price on carris rooms and get basic room?
2.The second day, the staff let us change to other rooms which are still basic rooms and said the two rooms have a connected door, the hosekeeping will open the door later. We think that should be more convenient for our family, so we changed.
After we returned to the hotel at night, we found they didnt open the connected door. The staff told us he didnt receive the information, so he can not open the door.
Terrible hotel.

Es könnte eigentlich ein sehr schönes Hotel sein wenn man sich ein bisschen Mühe geben würde. Freundlichkeit und Ehrlichkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Das in einer Suite 304 kein Tisch, geschweige denn Schreibtisch ist, darüber ist ja noch hin weg zu schauen. Der ständig auftretende Gestank aus dem Gulli war kaum ertragbar, uns wurde am nächsten Tag immer ein neues Zimmer zugesagt, was wir jedoch nie bekommen haben. Eine defekte Toilettenspülung , ein sich wellender Laminat Boden rundeten das desaströse Bild ab. Die Reinigung der Zimmer wurde sehr lieblos und halbherzig vorgenommen, neue Handtücher bekam man nur nach Anfrage an der Rezeption und dann wurde nur noch ein Handtuch für zwei Personen geliefert. Über ein nicht funktionierendes WLAN kann man noch in wegsehen.

При дуже помірній ціні, все на вищому рівні. Номера чисті, всі одноразові гігієнічні засоби є в номері, фен також є. Прибирають кожного дня. В нас тільки не було тапочок, але на рецепції, відразу видали, та перепросили.
Сніданок- шведський стіл. Дуже різноманітний, багатий на різні солодощі, випічку, та фрукти. Голодними не залишетесь точно. А ще на сніданок можна взяти їхне green wine , і день точно буде веселим

Unicamente bien la ubicacion
La habitacion, en este caso duplex, mal. No funcionaba bien la ducha y el agua caliente solo salia templada, En la parte de arriba no hay armario, sólo en el piso de abajo por lo que tienes que dejar la ropa que te has quitado en el suelo o bajar una escalera muy empinada . Tampoco hay una mesa donde dejar el bolso, el ordenador..todo en el suelo... La limpieza tampoco es buena

nous venons de quitter l'hôtel où nous avons passé 3 jours hôtel très propre personnel super super gentil et vraiment à votre écoute le seul petit bémol mais vraiment le seul c'est les chambres qui sont côté route vu que ces routes sont en pavé un petit peu de bruit qui résonne dans les chambres malgré un double vitrage à mon avis il suffirait de rajouter une contre porte avec un double vitrage et là ça sera le top merci à tous ceux personnel très sympa .... déjeuner très copieux également.

3박 머물렀습니다. 분명 위치로는 최고입니다. 왠만한 포르투의 관광지와 도보로 연결됩니다. 다만, 호텔의 퀄리티는 좀 아쉽습니다. 호텔로서의 역할과 기능은 충분하지만, 일부 건물은 습하고 춥고 볕조차 잘 들지 않습니다. 호텔이 단일 건물이 아니고 주변의 건물 4채를 이어붙였습니다. 즉, 건물에 따라 룸컨디션이 다를 수 있습니다. 물론 이 모든 것을 상쇄할만한 좋은 위치를 지녔습니다. 위치가 깡패!

Fantastic, modern designed hotel with historic facade & architectural features superbly located where the origins of Porto lie. The bedroom & shower are large,clean, comfortable & modern. The Reception/Bar Team are all young & friendly. The WiFi is good. Not all the TV stations have good reception like the BBC channels. Had some problems with bagage transfer so there internal communication needs to improve too.

Muy complicado hotel con subidas y bajadas de nivel, dificil a nivel de evacuación, no lo recomiendo a personas mayores o con movilidad reducida, lo siento pero yo misma lo he visto asi

Hotel soweit ok. Super zentral, mehr geht kaum.Nettes Personal. Der Bereich Rezeption und der Gang zum Fahrstuhl, Bar riecht unangenehm nach Abfluss.Preis für Frühstück Wucher.Gibt schöne Cafés nur wenige Meter entfernt.Zimmer in der 4. Etage zwar mit Fenster, aber blick auf eine Wand und somitkeine Möglichkeit zu lüften und das geht gar nicht.

Det er beskidt over det hele, dårlig rengøring mellem dagene, ikke tømte skraldespande på værelset, morgenmadsbuffen var konstant mangelfuld og personalet var ikke særlig serviceminded!

Me gusto mucho la situación y la atención en recepción al llegar. El chico que nos llevo las maletas nos dio consejos y sitios que visitar y donde comer. El desayuno estaba muy bueno y había mucha variedad. Quizá lo único malo es que era un poco pequeña la sala de desayuno y había mucha gente.

Por la calidad precio, camas king size, calidad de toallas que no encontrarás en otro hotel, atención muy agradable, ubicación perfecta al lado de la Ribeira, habitaciones amplias..
Si lo comparas con los 4 estrellas que usas, este le da varias habituales es muy muy recomendable, un bar muy agradable y bien cubierto. Repito seguro

The hotel was a block off the river, right in the heart of everything. Close to sights of all kinds. Clean, modern, and a great deal -- I couldnt have asked for anything more! I didnt spend a lot of time in the hotel, as I was at a wedding, but the room was adequate without being cramped and the bathroom was plenty spacious.

Very nice hotel with an extremely comfy bed. The sofa bed was not very comfortable and once open made the living room space very tight. Overall it’s a very nice place to stay and walkable to all the sights.

A great central location, only yards from the riverside with its bars and restaurants, architecturally very interesting a very old series of buildings converted into a modern and sleek hotel, kept spotless and all the staff very friendly and helpful, nice bar area and seating for a nightcap , and drinks no dearer than outside bars.
Huge choice of breakfast again set within a very nice restaurant , being so central you do have to expect road noise we had a room at the front of the hotel by a busy road, anyone who has visited Portugal before will know the Portuguese drive on their car horn day and night!!
Only a minor point but housekeeping, very hit or miss, would we stay again, absolutely.

Porto un lugar para visitarlo una y otra vez....cada calle y cada rincón que ves y consigues. Su gente te atiende sin mirar clase ni raza... las mixturas que día a día se cruzan en ese destino son interesantes. El tema cultural en la calle ....el que salta, el que canta, pinta, o se quedan quietos como estatuas....todos tienen su valor.

El hotel tiene una ubicación inmejorable muy cerca de toda la zona turística. Los recepcionistas y los camareros del hotel encantadores y súper amables , estuve 4 días y me hicieron la estancia muy agradable.
Por poner una pega...se mancho por accidente una sábana y cuando nos dimos cuenta no habían cambiado las sábanas seguían con la misma mancha!!!. Estaba alojada en una habitación de 3 personas y me hubiera gustado q fuera un poco más grande y el baño demasiado pequeño y faltaba una mesita con sillas. Por otra parte habia un ventanal precioso que daba a una avenida y estaba cerrado con llave!!! Eso fue un fallo.

This is my first bad review that I have ever written.
I walked into the Hotel Carris and the service especially snotty by the front desk agent Daniela who treated me like I was the scum on the universe. She clearly does not enjoy being around people which is a terrible first impression to guests walking in.
At first she did not acknowledge the fact that I was even there- which is fine however, there was no one there-- and again her job is to greet people who checking in.
After sitting here awkwardly for a couple of minutes I was like I know it is a little early to check in and In which she snapped at me that my room was not ready. Which was totally fine. I do not care if I can check in-- I can wander around the town as the hotel is in a central location, grab lunch, anything.
Then when I went to check in I passed her my credit card and instead of passing me my credit card when I booked the room in my name, she passed my receipt to my younger sister to sign knowing she was not the person listed on either the room or the credit card.
To make matters worse--
-She directed me with completely wrong directions to my room
-Made it a point to tell me how to connect to the wifi in the hotel, and when I got to the room the service in the room does not have the ability to connect to wifi.
-and the room that I was checked into was not the room I paid for-- I am in a dungeon when I paid for a river view room
-I called to speak to the manager as I felt like I was being treated unfairly and in a manner that did not reflect the reviews I read when booking this hotel, andshe answered and at that point I did not want to speak to her to have her help resolve the issue but she refused to allow me to speak to a manager
Its like it is some sick joke for her to play control game in her petty front desk role.
After traveling to over 30 hotels this year with nothing but pleasant reviews I have never encountered as terrible service as I have had with Daniela. Until they replace her please do not stay there, it is nothing but a terrible first impression for what could be a wonderful lodging experience-- Porto is a wonderful city.

We waited for almost half an hour to be checked in . There was a big crowd and only two staff at the reception . The staff dealing with us was rude and said she was new.
The room has a coffee maker with coffee and sugar but no creamer . Apparently we need buy creamer / milk at an extra cost . Having travelled to many parts of the world this was the first time we came across something like this in a 4 star rated hotel where our average room tariff was over 200 euros per night . We were again rudely informed over the phone that creamer has to be bought and phone disconnected .
This has left a very sour note on our visit to the beautiful city of Porto . We will never stay in this hotel again

Die Arpartments (nicht Hotelzimmer!) im Gebäude gegenüber sind abolut super, recht neu. Toll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Gute Wifi qualität. Nur der TV (32") könnte etwas größer sein und höher an der Wand hängen. So kann man vom Bett aus kaum schauen. Allerdings gibt es außer der deutschen Welle keine deutschen Sender (Sat ist wohl nicht auf Astra ausgerichtet). Die Fenster sind sehr schalldicht und die dicken Klappläden innen halten Licht und Wärme hervorragend ab. Klimatisiert sind die Apartments natürlich auch.

Perfektes Hotel für einen Städtetrip in Porto. Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein, ist aber aus meiner Sicht egal, weil man sich sowieso die ganze Zeit in der Stadt aufhalten möchte.
Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und modern. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr gut.
Das beste ist sicherlich die zentrale Lage, so dass man jederzeit kurz ins Hotel zurück kann, wenn man unterwegs ist.
Aus meiner Sicht sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage für eine gelungene Stadtbesichtigung. Wir sind spät angekommen, es hat aber alles sehr gut funktioniert. Das Team an der Rezeption ist nett und zuvorkommend.Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer zur Straße, was aber sehr laut ist. Ständig fahren Autos (Kopftseinpflaster) und hupen scheint eine Lieblingsbeschäftigung zu sein.Das Frühstück kann man komplett vergessen. Es findet im Keller im dunklen Restaurant statt, in dem es an den hinterern Plätzen penetrant nach Abfluss riecht. Der Platz reicht bei weitem nicht für die Menge an Gästen aus und es ist sehr laut und ungemütlich. Die Tische sind nicht wirklich sauber. Es gibt nur 1 (manchmal 2) Kaffeemaschinen mit nicht sonderlich gutem Kaffee. Die Milch ist gesüßt, ungesüßte kann man aber anfordern.Unsere Minibar wurde trotz Nachfrage nicht befüllt (4 Tage lang).Schade, aus dem Hotel könnte man mehr machen.

Overall excellent. Very helpful. staff. Restaurant maitre,d outstanding As usual with a lot of non-legacy European hotels, skimpy on the bathroom soap and closet hangars. Excellent chef in under-rated restaurant. Room selection excellent and may trip advisor correct in saying trying to get room in the back (also river view), since front rooms overlook noisy street.

!Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Aber das ist nicht genug. Der Zimmerservice steht in keinem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir wohnen im Nebenhaus (!!) über der Bar , aber dieser Teil scheint nicht zu existieren. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig, da es diesen Teil nicht gibt. Freundlichkeit insgesamt schwierig und die Saison fängt es an. Schade und das nicht wenig Geld.

I have visited Porto 1 or 2 times per year, during the last 12 years, mainly on business. I had stayed at the Carris Porto Ribeira on 4 previous occassions, in the period inmediately following their opening. I always had reserved a junior suite. After some time, and given their excellent location and my positive past experience with them,, I decided to return and use their services once again, this week .Their success has translated into an expansión which more tan doubles their original size. Unfortunately, the quality of the new installations which they offer, at the new wing, where I was assigned, more than halves the original quality of their product.I remember their "old-wing" junior suites as excellently appointed, well distributed and well designed rooms, full of charm, with nice exterior views. This time, their new "junior suite" was at a hidden backyard. No relation to what they used to offer. A desk to work on, yes - but with no chair to sit on. A shower structurally designed to overflow, inevitably filling the whole bathroom with wáter. No place to put toilettries. The bathroom, and the room as a whole, are a waste of improperly designed, insifficiently appointed space, with no decor charm, at the back of an alley.If reserving at the Carris has now become a lottery, not knowing what kind of product I will get, I believe I will keep my memories of better times, and no longer use it. Porto has plenty of excellent quality alternatives, offering stable quality.

We were placed in this hotel for a couple of nights by our cruise company prior to a Douro river cruise.
The hotel is well situated, near to the river and some of the tourist sites and is in an attractively converted building with very nice architectural touches.
We (two couples), had rooms in floors above the main hotel entrance ( Rua Infante Dom Henrique), and despite double glazing, both suffered from extensive traffic noise throughout the night - horn honking, accelerating cars, motorcycles, etc. When we went to reception the first morning, there was already a queue of people asking for room changes and so we were turned down, as was our request for ear plugs.
The breakfast in the downstairs restaurant was very mediocre, with a poor selection of cereals, cold meats and hot food selection. The toaster could barely colour the bread and the coffee dispenser was so slow, long queues formed at both of them, partially blocking access from the tables to the food.
On the upside, we were only had to suffer the traffic noise for two nights and there is an excellent little restaurant across from the hotel, called the Winebox, which we would thoroughly recommend.

Un fiasco, habitación individual, para dos. Poco mantenimiento en los productos de aseo y deficientes los muebles auxiliares. Desayuno muy básico. Y sin aparcamiento, ni siquiera para dejar las maletas. Un sólo ascensor que en las horas puntas, te obligaba a bajar por las escaleras. No vuelvo.
