Eaten before and it was always good. This time was the first day of the new menu, very disappointed chicken was dry poor excuse of onion rings chips over cooked on the outside. The use of a deep fat fryer and microwave seems to be the main source of cooking.

Beverages and service were good, the young staff trys pleasing guests and are pleasant. The food is an absolut let down, nachis totally soggy and not well garnished, the chicken wings are uneatable, tast as is quick microave defrosg and the only flavor is BBQ sauce. It is about the 4th time we eat there and never again, each time was a disapointment. However the place is nice and a good ambiance, shame we can not geg a decent meal or even a tapa. Hope my coments help the team improve.

This is a lovely bar not far from where we stayed. Visited here twice in our week holiday. The staff are very friendly. Food is lovely & if you ask they are willing to adapt the meal within reason. This bar is a good place if you want to watch sports. There is a play area for children.

Great bar and good value food. Fire in winter. Gins list a mile long. Wine good too. What's not to like!

I can't criticise the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful, there is also a small play area which is great to entertain the kids, the food however was just very average and fairly tasteless on both recent visits..

I mostly have the ribs but me and my family love Oscars bar and restaurant it is very good quality food for everyone.

Had a meal here yesterday evening. Very poor experience. Dry, bland and tasteless food. Not just one of the meals but all three. Slow, disorganised service, chaotic at times.Can see why families like it but not for us I'm afraid.

Had 2 fantastic meals here. The service is friendly and good, and although the food is not high end, it is really good ‘pub food’ which is plentiful and tasty. We enjoyed spending some time here, recommend for families staying locally who want a meal out without the huge expense!

English bar, great food and drink. Plenty of staff available to help. Televisions everywhere showing live sport and plenty of live events held. Would recommend.

Sunday roast was nicely presented but could have been warmer, not much of an atmosphere or many people as its early in the season. Staff were nice. Decor was good.

Nice bar, good Guinness.....not a football fan, so when the lovely music stopped and the game started and all 1000000 TV's went live......I left for quieter times. But great place for a sports fan.

Popped in for drinks and a meal. Very nice place, friendly staff. But the best part is, they do a very nice burger, one of the best burgers I've had. Well done to the chef.

Service agréable, les plats sont excellents, de la musique live le prix reste encore abordable pour ce type de prestation. Néanmoins un choix de bière plus important ne serais pas négligeable et des frites maison un gros plus sinon tout le reste parfait

Absolutely dreadful, I don’t know if I ever been cursed with a ruder bar tender. I caught his name, it was Seamus. I can hand on heart say he should lose his job, he’s a vicious man with no respect for others, towards the end of the night I even took the time to ask other customers of their experience and they agreed, he ruined it! I will not be returning to Oscars again which is a shame because it was supposed to be good. It’s no wonder that idiot man Seamus looked angry, I would be too if that many people wanted me gone!

Facelift on interior and the menu has transformed it back to the good old days. This plus loads of bar staff makes for a great evening for all. Very child friendly.

Great English style pub with great pub food nice ambience! Good place to watch the football or enjoy a quiz night. Including a children's play area outside to keep the little ones happy!

Piri piri chicken dry and overcooked.. Just badly cooked roast chicken served with a chilli oil on the side.. When I mentioned the poor meal we were offered 10% discount off our 2 glasses of coke

If you like a quiet meal & a drink Don't go Tuesdays Sunday carvery is very good. Had great meals on 4 occasion's. All of the staff are very pleasant and attentive. Lots of TV screens inside and out. Live music nights & a karaoke night.

Excellent meals on both occasions we ate here. We also had a take away. I am coeliac and the manager arranged for the chef to make me a gluten free lasagne which was delicious. All the staff were polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend Oscars.

Nice place, friendly staff, good food (chefs steak n Guinness pie was banging) good beer! Also a sunday carvery (you know where we will be sunday). Just had the carvery - well nice!!!!

Great place to meet up with friends. A favourite with mainly English tourists and expats. Menu is good with a separate Burger menu which offers a great variety for the Burger Lovers out there. Staff are very very friendly which is so nice to see and very important and Vicki the new owner is such a lovely warm and friendly lady. Every night offers different entertainment from Live Music, Karaoke and British Quiz Night. A lovely British Pub in the heart of the Algarve.

Had a really good meal, however asked the staff to order us a taxi as safer than to walk and you would assume they know who to call. Absolutely disgusted that we put our faith in their hands and they ordered us an unlicensed taxi not only putting us at risk but he also had no meter and charged us double what we have paid every other time to get there, fuming is an understatement

Excellent food great atmosphere, all staff courteous and attentive. great facilities for young children. Certainly would recommend this venue.

“Oscars Bar Restaurant Vila Sol - A fantastic new era” 5 of 5 starsReviewed 2 March 2015 I have visited Oscars Bar and Restaurant in Vila Sol, Vilamoura on several occasions in the past few years and once again found my way there and just in time the the opening night of the new season. What a surprise awaited us, for those who have not been there before it was a good pub grub type restaurant, but now its a gastronomical surprise!! Most of the old staff have gone and a new team who I must say looked pretty keyed up for the type of service required in this type of restaurant and bar. All the new staff are very pleasant and welcoming and the speed of service far quicker than the last time I visited. But the biggest change is by far the new chef and the menu he has prepared. Its quite stunning and the food that was leaving the kitchen all looks amazing. We were a table of 8 and when the food arrived in what seemed a short time, we were all delighted with both the quality and presentation, truly superb. I have been to many other restaurants around the area and paid 3 times as much for the same quality. So tremendous value for money, superb presentation and all tasted fantastic. Oscars bar and restaurant has stepped up ten gears and I think anyone revisiting will be more than pleasantly surprised by the changes that have been made. Well done to all and I am sure it will become the top restaurant in Vilamoura before long, Oscars bar and restaurant is one of those hidden gems, find it and I guarantee you will also be amazed. Its only a 5 minute taxi ride away from the center of Vilamoura and Quarteira or 10 mins from Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, but believe me well worth the visit if you are looking for a truly fantastic restaurant.
