I should really keep this hidden gem secret but it's a lovely retreat which really made our holiday special. Great customer service, probably the best breakfast I've had whilst in a hotel (and I've stayed in a few) and it's really peaceful and quiet throughout this resort. The sea view at breakfast was perfect.

We have stayed here for the 4th year as it is always amazing. However this year was a bit disappointing ad the staff were not friendly, the food was constantly cold even though the dining room had just opened. We reported it to staff and they were not bothered. Lots of new conditions were in place, no snacks on terrace etc even we had eaten there on previous nights. Rude staff, 1 very pleasant bar person who was polite and friendly.

The suite we have booked was not cleaned at all: sticky chocolate peaces on the floor, hair in the bath tub, fingertips everywhere, dirty toilets, wet paper peaces on them and completely dirty toilet brush (really disgusting!). I couldn't beleave that I see something like that in a 5* hotel. Their answer on my complaint was: "The supervisor couldn't double check the cleaning staff. He or she probably forgot to do that."
I really enjoyed my vacation in Albufeira but staying in this hotel was a waste of money. They don't even deserve one star.

Le sobra 1 estrella. Las habitaciones son amplias, la número 0108,(en la que estuve yo), al poner la maleta en el soporte para deshacerla, se desarmo el mueble y cayó la maleta al suelo, el bidet del cuarto de baño principal perdía agua, Internet no se cogía prácticamente casi nunca en la habitación , sólo en las zonas comunes(zona del bar y comedor). La comida es decente aunque sin mucha variedad, quizás el desayuno sea lo mejor.

Not the place for a relaxing break! The entertainment team entertain themselves to a mega decibel romp, way in excess of Portuguese Tourism Law, around 4 o/c and succeed in clearing the pool area. Bizarre? Hotel is in wonderful situation but performs like a downmarket holiday camp. Hi-de-hi anyone?

Had a fabulous few days here with friends. Lovely hotel, spacious suites and the staff were so helpful. Food was lovely but we did have to warm it sometimes with the microwave. Thats normal with buffet food I suppose. The A la carte restaurant was good quality. Pool and spa area spotless. Good for local golf and the beach was stunning.

L'hôtel est très accueillant, beau et le personnel agréable, chambre très belle et spacieuse.
Cependant le gros point négatif est la nourriture, c'est une catastrophe pour un hôtel dit 5*, il y a peu de choix, aucune grillade proposée, aucun assaisonnement dans les plats, le restaurant à la carte propose les mêmes plat que dans la buffet.

Recently visited Sao Rafael suites. The hotel was amazing and my room was one of the best rooms I had stayed in, we got upgraded which was a bonus :):):). Food was pretty good, a nice selection. Atmosphere was fantastic and staff were super friendly. Would love to come back again.

We stayed mid March 2019, booked a double room all inclusive for the 2 of us for 5 nights and only cost me £396 (with some cash back) now for less than £40 each for 3 meals and booze a day with a sea view you can't complain about much really! I wouldn't want to pay the summer prices for what you get!
What I would say is there are several doubles (we were room 102) that are the same floor plan as the suites but instead of a lounge you get a terrace with sun beds, now I don't know about you, but that to me is far more use than a lounge, especially when it's lot cheaper! We had privacy to sunbathe and woke to a lovely sea view every morning.
The hotel is in a quiet spot about a mile walk down hill, it's pretty steep, to the marina in Albuferia and a few mins down to some lovely beaches and coves, there aren't a lot of local options for food and drink but if your all inclusive it's not really needed.
The food was pretty good, not always labelled though, so but of guess work required, no help yourself beer pump in dining room like some hotels which was a shame, and at our time of visiting only the main bar for drinks, which if your by the pool was a trek.
Al a carte dining was very nice and make sure you book in and take advantage.
Wifi was quite frankly rubbish.
Spa disappointing when I visited, no staff to be seen, no water for sauna, egg timer not working, pool cool.
Most staff really nice, friendly and helpful.
Pool areas, needed a clean and a hotel in March needs at least one of the pools to be heated.
Room comfortable, but no hot drink facilities without having to ask for them, and then no tea bags/coffee or milk so have to pinch them from restaurant.
I'd certainly never put anyone off staying here and if you got a good deal I'd recommend it but it really depends on the price/value you get.

We spent our honeymoon for 7 days in this hotel. We wasn’t disappointed , very nice hotel, clean ,good food and the service of the staff very pleasant, they were kind and helpful.The italian restaurant made our nights! Not too far from the beach, I recommend Evaristo beach it’s a small private beach very grateful,hidden from the wind, nice bar and restaurant.We really enjoyed our stay in here!!❤️ Definitely I recommend this hotel, and why not maybe in the future we comeback aswell.

Hotel bien placé pour randonner le long des falaises. lmpeccable pour les bons marcheurs. La suite que nous avons réservée etait au calme .Heureusement car le gros problème de cet établissement , cest la présence d anglais qui senivrent toute la journée et qui hurlent le soir. Donc à eviter si vous aimez la tranquillité.

We booked as a very last minute trip away. The hotel is very grand and the outside area is nice. The food was truly amazing and the staff were friendly too. They had entertainment at night which was really good too.
If you want to use the indoor swimming pool, make sure you have a swimming cap.
The room a were huge and the view from ours was nice too. The only downside was the smell when we walked into the room. It smelt like blocked drains. We called reception in the first day and they sent someone up to spray around the room (I'm not sure what that was meant to achieve). On the second day we went to reception and they said they would send someone up to look. By the time we came back from the beach it smelt much better.
The hotel drinks were also good and free parking for hire cars is a nice bonus.
Overall a great stay and real value for money.

I came here with my family. I must say we were catered and looked after. My little one enjoyed spending time in indoor pool and at kids club. The staff in kids club were good and all DBS checked. it was an open drop in and pick up through out the whole day. Plus it is situated in the middle of the hotel so we could always pop in on the way to see how my child was getting on. loved the outside gym plus the tennis court. i must say we were able to do lots of activities inside the hotel itself as a family. Spa was good too. However, there wasnt much of a choice for vegetarians. From the galore of food on the buffet counter for us veggies we had to have same food everyday. which became boring after the 3rd day itself. even the salads that we were able to pick as a starter were turned into non-veg the next day. hence, even with the salads we had to stick with the basic ones. Therefore, we had a slight disappointment with the Vegetarian Variety. Over all good and i do recommend it.

Wir hatten Suite mit Meeresblick. Allerdings ist Meer so weit weg, dass man ihm kaum von Himmel unterscheiden kann. Zimmer ist zwar groß, aber planlos eingeräumt: man hat von riesigem, aber fast leerem Zimmer nicht viel davon. Sehr hellhörig. Essen ist von schlechter Quslität. Innenpool ist klein. Zu Fuß bis zu Strand ist es zu weit. Nicht empfehlenswert. Standart passt für 3 Sterne, und keine 5, wie es angegeben wurde.

Very good hotel. Great suite and big. The suite have two complete bathrooms one with shower. The suite have 2 big televisions with cable TV. The food is regular but all time is available. Breakfast from 7 to 10 after snacks in the morning until luch time. After snacks until diner time and after snacks until midnight. Drinks also available all time. Very good place

Was here for a week and I must say this is NOT a 5 star the food is bloody terrible I actually lost weight going home the buffet is the same cold food every night the breakfast is disgusting. Don’t even get me started on the A la Carte, worst than the Buffet food absolutely disgusting in a whole the chef needs sacking I have had to eat out every night as it is really that bad
Are room was invested with ants it was appalling ants crawling up the walls on the table in the bathroom this should not be acceptable for a5star hotel we informed housekeeping everyday about the problem but nothing was done, some staff are very rude and not very helpfull the cleanliness of the hotel is s lot to be desired definitely not a 5 star hotel would not get any problems like this in the Hilton or Radisson Blu hotels

Hotel com espaço digno de 5*****. Quartos amplos e bonitos, casas de banho espaçosas.
Limpeza fraca.
A qualidade da comida é medíocre, muito repetitiva para quem passa mais de 2 dias. Pouca variedade de alimentos. Pequeno almoço fraco no que diz respeito à qualidade. Ceias apenas em papel....pois pede -se qualquer coisa mais leve do que sandes de patê e panikes. Com crianças é necessário mais alguma atenção. Nem pão nem manteiga!!!! Inadmissível terminar a cerveja sem álcool, serem avisados e o chefe de sala nada fazer sendo necessário falar na receção. A situação ressolveu-se por um dia, no dia seguinte já não havia.
Para um hotel de 5***** é lamentável simplesmente deplorável.
Campo de futebol a precisar de manutenção.
Funcionários muito pouco simpáticos, sem formação para atendimento ao público. Os únicos que se esforçavam para agradar o cliente eram 2 da receção, os do spa e os da animação.
É pena um hotel com um espaço tão agradável ter um grupo de funcionários que trabalhem como uma obrigação.

Service 5/5 (staff is super nice and accommodating)
Food/beverages 5/5 (3 full meals served and also snacks twice a day with late night after 10pm snacks) Food and beverage selection was top shelf and the quality and quantity of the variety was delightful.
Entertainment: 5/5 ( depends when you go, we had tango dancers, Elvis’s impersonations and pianist)
Spa: 5/5 great selection, sauna and soaking pool

After a night on the town I missed placed my phone I couldn't get over how helpful the staff at the hotel were they phone every local taxi firm and managed to get it delivered back to the hotel for me they were so helpfull polite and friendly the hotel was very clean and food was lovely very recommended

No global posso dizer que é quase um salgados palace, alojamento amplo e muito agradável, refeições muito boas, de salientar os grelhados feitos na hora, muito bom mesmo, de lamentar a limpeza nas áreas exteriores, manutenção das piscinas, o serviço de bar muito abaixo do expectável para um 5* além de um ou outro colaborador do empreendimento.

House keeping : the standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel and the public areas are exceptional the service the ladies have provided to our room thought out our stay has been fantastic. Restaurant and bar staff: the restaurant staff have been very couteous, polite and professional even when presented with some very difficult guests ( some people should not be allowed in restaurants - well done guys you dealt with them fantastically)We had a wonderful relaxing time which is what we were aiming for . The staff and hotel have earned every single star keep up the great work and thank you for a fantastic holiday. Chiefs: thank you very much we are not great fans of buffets as we like our food pipping hot but the quality, variety and standard of the food presented on the buffet was excellent , love the BBQs . The ala carte and bar restaurant food was exceptional ( to much for us as we like small portions but we couldn’t resist eating each course- thank you for four amazing nights) Spa: i love my spa treatments and have them as often as I can I must say Philippa and Sarah where fantastic- thank you ladies

Rooms were nice and pretty modern, only complaints were lack of view and poor lighting in rooms. Reception and All inclusive services were excellent and the pools were nice. The largest problem was for some reason there was no WiFi in rooms nor dinning areas, only in reception which is disgraceful for a 5 star hotel

Great accommodation and friendly staff but generally not the 5* its advertised as. Food at the restaurant, drinks and entertainment more matching a 4* resort. Great kids club but didnt seem to be widely used during the height of the season. Great for a couple of nights but I wouldnt be keen to stay there for any longer.

I took my children here and left 5 days early , the food was warm if you were lucky , the rooms need a deep clean .
We stayed before and it was a lot better we thought we’d stay again because it was advertised as sea view suites had been refurbed , not the case they have just painted the rooms , zero wi fi unless you stalked the reception area
Some not all staff with bad manners
Never again this should be downrated to 4 star on a good day .

No es facil mejorar una reseña negativa como la que hace unos dias escribi de este hotel, no he cambiado de opinion respecto a lo que pensaba, es un gran hotel, en un lugar con unas preciosas playas, un clima privilegiado e incluso alejado de los grandes centros turisticos de lagos y portimao imposibles en esta epoca del año. Aqui dentro del mes y zona se respira cierta tranquilidad. Seguro convencera al 90% de familias que vengan buscando eso. Sin embargo uno puede escusarse en la dificultad de encontrar gente profesional para trabajar en esta epoca, es hasta comprensible, pero si ello es asi, entonces lo que no puedes hacer es cobrar lo que ofreces a precio de 5 estrellas, debes bajar el precio o bajar las estrellas o estas condenado a que la experiencia del cliente exigente este muy lejos de la expectativa generada y del precio pagado y con ello el valor de lo que tu hotel ofrece con respecto a otros de igual nivel se devalua. La calidad de algunas de las opciones del buffet no dependen de la profesionalidad de los camareros sino de las decisiones de direccion. En fin , si no eres gastronomicamente exigente un gran hotel, pero si lo eres... Sara , tu hotel te debe esta ligera mejoria en el comentario , pero me temo que te va a dar mucho trabajo sino cambian algo las cosas por ahí.

Easy access to the beach, the domestic drinks which are included are surprisingly good. Some of the food is amazing and others are just okay. Food and drinks and games room all close at midnight which is a bit early. The service has been outstanding!! Thank you for a good weekend. The only reason for a 4 star review is that it does not feel at the standard of a 5-star resort in terms of look and feel of the space and facilities.

Aspectos Positivos
- Limpeza 5 Estrelas, espaço exterior muito bonito, embora ache o mesmo pequeno para ocupação total do hotel, colchões bastante confortáveis, restaurante italiana muito boa confecção.
Aspectos Negativos dado tratar-se de um hotel 5 Estrelas
- Pequeno almoço muito fraco para um 5*, pouca variedade de pão, falta de compotas de frutas e produtos alusivos a zona do Algarve, zona de doces bastante fraca. Durante os buffets ha presunto e donuts, elementos que num pequeno almoço tem lógica existir, por exemplo
- Refeições Buffet, para um hotel de 5* bastante mediano. Demoram imenso a repor, após solicitação repõe. Falta de variedade na zona das saladas. Sem showcooking. Muito cedo deixa de haver determinado tipo de alimento e nao ha supervisão para nova reposição.
_ fiquei alojado no quarto 0110 e a meio ver para um hotel de 5*, e conheço o vosso de Montargil, o Wc em termos de dimensões nao é compatível com o vosso estatuto. Num Wc que mal cabe uma pessoa, nao pode ser um quarto de um 5*
EM resumo, o que nos pareceu e que em termos de serviços e simpatia dos colaboradores, o hotel funciona muito bem, em termos de refeições ou é norma ser assim ( e se assim for é estranho) ou baixaram a qualidade do serviço para as promoções que fizeram no Carnaval. Os quartos devem ser revistos

A beautiful hotel with friendly staff located next to an amazing little beach (15mins walk). There are two large outside pools and an indoor pool which is heated. There is a small football pitch and a full size tennis court where you can book the court for an hour from reception and everything is provided from tennis rackets to tennis balls. The biggest let down I believe was dinner which is repetitive and boring.

Wow, what a wonderful place! I recently visited with my two daughters. We have just had an amazing family holiday. We didn't want to leave. The staff are all so lovely, the cannot do enough for you. The hotel and facilities are first class.
Every effort is clearly taken to ensure your stay is tailored to suit your needs. We enjoyed a wonderful pamper in the spa on our last evening. We enjoyed meeting the wonderful staff, all who work so hard to provide a first class professional and friendly welcome. The place and its surroundings, the wonderful, beautiful beach, just leave you feeling peaceful and so relaxed.
Thank you so much to each member of staff for making our family holiday perfect. Helping make memories to treasure forever!

Las habitaciones están bien(bastante amplias), el bufet deja mucho que desear para ser un 5 estrellas (los hay mejores con 3 estrellas) mucha comida de fritos y los postres de baja calidad y tener que esperar mucho tiempo para poder entrar en cualquier comida y esperar otro rato para que te traigan las bebidas por no tenerlas en el comedor(vamos que te tienes que ir al bar a por ellas y te echan la bronca por hacerlo) . Con respecto a la limpieza, la zona de la terraza poco limpia y la zona del bar de la piscina igual(el cual estaba cerrado) la zona de fumadores con sólo un cenicero. Poca animación y el personal no muy agradable. Así podía seguir diciendo muchas más cosas negativas, en definitiva que no lo recomiendo (vamos que no repito).

Hotel com ótimas condições e pessoal muito simpático. Devido à imensa afluência, especialmente de espanhóis, havia muito pouco número de funcionários de limpeza, o que originava zonas sujas, especialmente nas varandas do restaurante.

The actual rooms dont have ceiling light only lamp so it was very hard to put make up on. The hotel was fully inclusive which was expensive however there were no facilities to keep us occupied for example there was no gym no golf course basically nothing to do other than sit at the poolside. Entertainment was boring. Food was the same foods every single day which got very boring. Staff were lovely though

Overpriced vs the quality of service expected of a 5* resort.
- The kids club isn't one. We didn't feel comfortable leaving our kids in the care of the entertainment team, and as far as I could tell no one did. There are cartoons on at all time, so children daring to play with toys are being policed rather than entertained unless actively requested by parents hovering.
- the last 3 days of our stay were crammed with noisy revellers presumably because the hotel massively discounted their rooms to not suffer losses towards the end of the season. Meaning that the indoor pool was horrendously crowded and noise throughout the hotel was epic.
- the queues to get served at the bar and seated at the restaurant was overly long (even before the invasion, so never ending after that).
- Very limited choices in the food, and the only other restaurant served roughly the same thing as the buffet.
- There are no views, the hotel overlooks houses and a road.
- on the plus side the family room are spacious, functional and well designed.
- a good choice of drinks (better than other all inclusive 5*)
- The hotel is a 10min walk from 2 beautiful sandy beaches, 20min from the marina and 40min from the old town (Albufeira)

En la primera toma de contacto con el personal del salón, lo primero que hicieron fue llamarme la atención por fumar en una terraza al aire libre, cosa que hice inconscientemente sin saber que estaba prohibido.
En el desayuno, el tránsito de personas era muy elevado y esperé una cola de 10 minutos, acto seguido desayuné, a medias, cuando fui a por más alimentos los estaban retirando porque tocaba cerrar.
Señores si su público es español deben de enfocarse en ellos, yo no voy a levantarme a las 8 de la mañana para desayunar.
La comida deja mucho que desear y las bebidas son algo mejor que otros hoteles de la zona.
Las habitaciones espectaculares, eso sí, la cama es un acordeón, super incómoda para mi gusto. Las almohadas si no te gustan las que hay, que no te van a gustar. Tienes la opción de alquilar otra, 22h 3€, algo razonable (ironía).
ÉSTA HA SIDO MI ESTANCIA.
No lo recomiendo.

Positive:
- Lovely staffs, we love it when some staffs smile to us
- Very quiet room, it reduces noise from outside very well, even the floor below had a live music party, we still had good sleep through the night. Sleep in peace :)
- The room is very clean.
- Safe, I feel safe because I left my valuable staffs in the room and it still there. Anyway, you have to take care of your belongings, it’s your responsibility, not them.
- Nice indoor swimming pool, with lovely staff. Alway speaks softly and smile to us. Love!
- Yummy food! We had all inclusive for whole days. We love it all! Sometimes I see barbecue which is super delicious!
- Bartender boy at the live-music room is the best! He’s smiling, helpful, polite, and friendly. I wish he can teach all staffs to be exactly just like him. On the end, your customers would definitely love this place!
To improve:
- The tall man at the beginning who show us the room didn’t smile. He was polite, he spoke only Portuguese to us, but when we were walking pass another group, we accidentally heard he spoke English fluently to them. I wish I understand why he did it. I hope it’s not what I think.
- Some of food was too hard to eat such as bread with tuna. It was hard as rock.
- Kids club, I feel uncomfortable in the room. The staffs seem careless and don’t really love children, it’s like they just do it because someone forced them to be here. I wish they would just be happy when they see children visit the place. They were also didn’t be much polite as they should be, and no smiles. They also open music as they wanted which isn’t music for children. I saw there were 3 staffs but they had lunch break in the same time and closed the room, when they can switch to get lunch at different times, and let children visit kids club anytime.
- Wifi, I wish it works everywhere. There were times that it didn’t work in restaurant and my room

Five stars to the male Masseuse called Vimicius. He is excellent at his job and such a friendly person. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with him during your stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Our 2 bedroom unit was quite nice with comfy beds and a huge balcony which could have been even more amazing had there been enough loungers for the 3 of us. I also wish there had been some extra seating in our rooms. Other than one desk chair, there was nothing so we were stuck sitting on the beds. I was quite happy with the food quality and had no problem finding something that suited me. The service was outstanding everywhere we went. The pool area is very quiet, no music or activities so if you like tunes, you might want to pack a portable speaker. The beach is close by and beautiful. We used the shuttle service to go into town one day and were very glad we were staying where we were, it was super touristy!

The beachfront 2 bedroom two bathrooms was lovely. No hot tub to relax in during our stay. The buffet restaurant food was not hot. The music in the lounge ended to early . The reception was exceptional with the assistance from Nuno Rocha and Joao Cunhd . Bartender Monday night lounge with the live music was very welcoming.

Kein 5 Sterne Hotel!
- Zimmer (Suite) war sehr groß aber nicht besonders schön, lieblos eingerichtet, sehr alte Fernseher, nur die Dachterrasse konnte überzeugen. Schimmlige Fugen im Badezimmer sind ein No-Go zudem feute Wände im Zimmer
Badezimmer im Verhältnis zum restlichen Zimmer viel zu klein, Klo direkt vor dem Waschbecken
Beim Checkin ist zudem aufgefallen, dass der Klodeckel kaputt war. Hinweis an die Rezeption: Reperatur sollte erst am nächsten Tag erfolgen. Wiederwillig wurde doch amselben Abend repariert.
- Essen: Wer Fastfood mag und keine grossen Ansprüche hat wird zufrieden sein. Qualität im allgemeinen sehr schlecht, zudem war das Buffet-Restaurant sehr dreckig.
- Lage: zwar keinen direkten Strandzugang, aber schöne Poolanlage. Super Strand ist fußläufig erreichbar und kostenlos
- warum nur 1 Stern? Das lustlose und teils unfreundliche Personal übertrifft alles, was ich je in einem 5 - Sterne Hotel erlebt habe.

O staff do restaurante nao é acessível nem simpático. A comida não é bem confecionada, está quase sempre fria, especialmente os acompanhamentos. As carnes como lombo assado, peru com natas, etc, tudo muito seco. Tudo demasiado condimentado. Retiram -nos os pratos da comida demasiado cedo da mesa. Durante a refeicão, na minha estadia, levantei-me para me servir e quando cheguei a mesa ja estava posta de novo para os proximos clientes. Não há um bom serviço. Encontrei um plástico no bacalhau à Brás . O jacuzzi nao funciona e a área do spa está demasiado suja, tinha plásticos no chão entre as espreguiçadeiras. O que ainda se manteve sem desagrado foi a suite . É um sítio onde nao vou mais voltar. Um hotel de 5 estrelas nao é isto. Já tive o prazer de desfrutar de alguns a sério
. É uma pena, podia ter sido bom. Estão a deixar estragar esta unidade hoteleira.

In general the place is very nice, with a super nice view of the ocean and Funchal, the complex and the villa were amazing only one thing to mention, there was no tv on the rooms, this is very important for me, also there was no gym on the complex , only an small, tiny place at the golf club that was very expensive for the service.

Instalações (quarto duplo comunicante) espaçosas com uma excelente vista para as piscinas. Bom serviço de quartos. Comida bastante razoável (se bem que não muito variada) e fantástico staff principalmente na zona de restauração. Boa equipa de animação. Piscinas e "ginásio" ao ar livre inseridos num espaço agradável. Animação diária noturna variada e agradável! A praia de São Rafael fica a 10 minutos de distância mas é um bom passeio e vale a caminhada!
Não gostei dos colchões pois eram muito moles... mas é uma questão mais pessoal! Também o jantar no restaurante Eataly me pareceu fraco apesar de incluido no All Inclusive da minha estadia.

Buffet food was good; especially the bbq chicken lunch and the Italian restaurant was good too.The food was generally on the same rotation so there was the same food every other day.The larger pool didn’t seem to be cleaned as there was lots of debris in the pool that was there for the entirety of our stay.

I would not class this hotel as a 5 star, it is more like a 3.5! For an all inclusive you Are very limited to the food and drink you can have. All the staff seemed miserable, it’s a shame as the hotel has the potential to be very nice!!

Quanto ao hotel tinha todas as facilidades dos hotéis desta categoria. A distância de 10/15 min. da praia acaba por ser ótimo para um pequeno passeio.

Dans l’ensemble c’est un bon rapport qualité/prix, la restauration est correcte la chambre était parfaite et le personnel très sympa et à l’écoute. Seul bémol le manque de langue française. Autre bémol mais là c’est plutôt à l’égard des vacanciers qui réservent les transats dès le matin, résultat pas de place dans la journée et oui la bêtise n’est pas que française ! La direction de l’hôtel l’interdit mais ne le fait pas respecter.

Stunning big outdoor pools with plenty of poolside loungers, a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, I was very impressed with the quality and range of food, our room was clean and spacious, the only downside was the bar room is quite small with limited outside seating, and no kettles in the rooms but overall a lovely hotel.

Midway through our 7 days here,definitely, definitely,not a 5 star,hotel is spotless,water in the pools could,and should,be a bit cleaner,food is only OK,in my opinion,hot dishes are cold,which they should not be,all of the staff are brilliant,room is huge and cleaned everyday.Entertainment at night has been very good,but the atmosphere isn't what it should be,not enough of us Irish here,I'm guessing ☺.The cocktails in the bar are pathetic,absolutely garbage,no effort goes into making them,none at all,sick of the Boc at this stage,would I return?no,atmosphere is poor,cocktails are shockingly bad,other than that the hotel and staff are first class.

We stayed for a 4 night break for my husbands birthday. A lovely welcome, staff cannot do enough for you, they were all fantastic throughout our stay. The food was usual buffet standard, plenty of choice but as said in previous reviews the food was warm and not hot. The A La Carte restaurant was lovely! And they made a real effort with cake and bubbles for a birthday surprise.. The bar area was small but was fine for us as we only used it once and it was quite empty for our our stay so not a problem however the drinks were! If you like beer then you’ll be happy but there was only a small list of drinks that were free and all branded and any sparkling wines were charged for. Cocktails were pre made out of a machine and not the best. The rooms were perfectly adequate and clean and were serviced each day but are looking tired. The big thing for us is entertainment and that was really lacking here, maybe it was because it was the beginning of the season but there really wasn’t any. We went out in the evenings into the old and new towns.. great atmosphere, live music etc.A great hotel for golfers but would not recommend for families. I would also agree with many reviews that this is most definitely not a 5 star hotel but a 3/4 star but I also did not pay 5 star prices so am happy with our stay.

É um resort de 5 estrelas na zona dos Salgados. Fica perto da Marina de Albufeira e da praia dos Salgados, podemos ir a pé para ambos. A recepção é deslumbrante. Tem parque de estacionamento grátis. O staff é atencioso e sempre pronto a ajudar. Ideal para quem quer descansar e repor energias.

No jantar do buffet minha esposa foi repreendida por uma funcionaria por ir jantar de chinelos que nao eram de quarto, qd tinha perguntado na recepção...dress code. O mais irritante foi q posteriormente entraram inglesas e a mesma funcionária nao fez qualquer observação . Loby bar com pouco espaço e cadeiras. Nunca consegui tomar cafe sentado. Quarto familiar mt bom. Buffet bom mas nao para 1 hotel de 5☆. Funcionamento de bilhar horrível...sem limite de utilização, podiamos ficar horas à espera, sem regras!!

Suite grande e confortável, boa animação. Funcionários muito simpáticos. Fui com o meu marido, um filho adulto e duas crianças e ficamos todos alojados numa suite enorme com dois quartos.Piscinas exteriores boas e piscina interior agradável.
Apesar da boa manutenção as casas de banho dos quartos necessitam de renovação, hoje em dia a banheira já não se usa, é muito mais prático o duche. A praia fica a 10 minutos a pé e o kids club é do melhor. Não leva as 5 estrelas devido às casas de banho e ao facto de não existir nada perto. É um hotel isolado e para um jovem adulto torna-se monótono.

El hotel Sau Rafael es estupendo, la comida del buffet no es lo 5 estrellas como dicen, pero tampoco está mala.Las habitaciones no están mal y las camas son super cómodas, pero pedimos la familiar de 3 habitaciones y no teníamos camas de matrimonio ni eran tres habitaciones separadas.
La barra libre está bien aunque es de bebidas de marca blanca, y los cócteles están bien, recomiendo sex on the beach o tequila sunrise. Los demás saben mucho a alcohol y no los recomendaría a no sé qué tengas alguna herida abierta.
No hay masajes gratis aunque este entre los servicios, valen la friolera de entre 50 y 100€ lo más básicos. El spa es una piscina de agua caliente llena de niños saltando y sin el gorro de baño obligatorio. No hay vigilancia y y la gente hace un poco lo que le da la gana.
La estancia ha sido buena , algún camarero desagradable pero los jóvenes son muy agradables eso sí... Nada de español, y les dices "ron" y no sabe que es, pero bueno hay que tomarse la vida con humor y disfrutar de la estancia.
Hay tartas y postres muy deliciosos.

Are you a large group of obnoxious, rowdy golf w4nkers that love dominating a place and disturbing the peace and comfort of families and couples on holiday?? Then this is the place for you!As the title says, I thought the hotel itself was very nice, clean, and the facilities were good. The rooms were modern, a good size, and the balconies quite private. I also thought the food was pretty decent for an all inclusive resort and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is pretty good and in a quiet area just outside Albufeira (20 min walk) with a lovely little beach just down the hill if you dont fancy the big resort hustle and bustle. However, The hotel is a magnet for big groups of rowdy golfers who cant afford to stay in the actual golf hotels and resorts. They dominate all public areas, bars, and restaurants with their loud profanity strewn banter, and make it very uncomfortable for other guests just trying to enjoy a relaxing drink or intimate dinner etc. The only respite that you get from them is in the middle of the day when they are all out playing golf, but come 5pm the bar fills up and you cant get a seat anywhere as they have pushed all the tables together and taken all the seats.The hotel is in a well know golf area and the total cost wasnt that much, so perhaps I should have guessed, but the hotel website certainly doesnt promote itself a golfers only hotel.

Les suites sont très grandes et bien équipées/décorées. L'hôtel est proche d'une très belle plage. Le restaurant est correct. On retrouve souvent les mêmes plats... Et les poissons/viandes sont souvent trop cuits. Les restaurants à la carte n'ont rien d'exceptionnel en terme de qualité pour un temps d'attente significatif.

Agréable séjour en famille. les chambres familiales sont spacieuses avec deux grandes chambres et deux salle de bains . La formule all inclusive est complète et la pension est de bonne qualité. Le personnel est aux petits soins des clients. Le seul bémol pour nous a été le ménage mais cela a été remédié à notre demande. La plage est à 400 mètres et elle est magnifique. Lhôtel propose des navettes gratuites pour aller en ville .

El hotel es maravilloso, muy tranquilo y completo. Ofrecen actividades, aunque no hemos probado ninguna. La comida es espectacular, el mejor buffet y dos restaurantes (a la carta e italiano) que ofrecen geniales platos, vienen en el todo incluido. El único punto que no me ha gustado es guiarse por el hotel, porque llegar a tu habitación es un reto, a veces te encuentras con puertas de acceso cerradas y es fácil perderse. Hay autobuses que llevan al pueblo, que también es muy bonito.

Great family holiday, pools are clean with comfortable loungers, buffet is great something for everyone. Hotel is modern & clean. Rooms are spacious and great for a family. 2 negatives..... WIFI is rubbish and we paid (a lot) for a luxury family suite (ocean view) the view wasn't great, we could just about see the sea and we were positioned directly above the hotel bar which played live music/Karaoke until midnight every night preventing our children from being able to sleep!

Boas instalações. Pessoal muito simpático. Não dou 5 estrelas porque o Wi-Fi funciona muito mal e os sumos ao pequeno almoço são francamente maus!

Die renovierten Zimmer sind in Ordnung . Wir hatten eine große Suite gebucht .
Die Lage des Hotels ist gut . Parkplätze sind vorhanden .
Das Essen ist wirklich sehr einfach und durchschnittlich .
Die Zimmer werden sehr schlecht gereinigt .
WLAN total schlecht , Einwahl nur schwer möglich und wenn dauert der Seitenaufbau einige Minuten .
Das Hotel wirkt insgesamt sehr ungemütlich . Wir haben uns hier wirklich nicht wohl gefühlt und kommen keinesfalls wieder .
Es ist einfach kein 5 Sterne Hotel mehr ...max 3 und dafür ist es zu teuer .

Brilliant. Rooms/suites are luxurious, staff are brilliant and helped us so much. Food is very good. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a pleasant stay at the Sao Rafael Suites Hotel. Staff was great and kind with us. Hotel needs refurbishment for sure, some of the furniture in the room was quite old, but still very comfortable. The game room wasn't the best, very old and the fact that we had to pay 1 euro per machine to use it wasn't nice as well when you think about the price you pay per night. Food was good, not perfect, with some days better than the others. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and the staff told us they will go through a refurbishment in June, therefore the expectation is that the hotel will look nicer after that in the inside.

sehr schönes Hotel, Suite war geräumig und ansprechend,sehr sauber, freundliches Personal, am Buffet findet jeder etwas Es gibt nichts zu meckern auuuussseerrr...
Leider sehr unruhige Nächte durch Gäste die betrunken ihre Zimmer aufsuchen und sich gar nicht vorstellen können das es Gäste gibt die nachts um 1 Uhr schlafen Nachteil eines all in Hotel.

Skickade mina föräldrar ditt på deras 45:års jubileum. De bodde på rum nr 108 med havsutsikt. De älskade allt med hotellet. Servisen var utmärkt, personalen var mycket proffesionella. Maten var utsökt och fräsch. Läget var perfekt och transporten dit var smidig. Rekommenderas starkt!

Las habitaciones muy bien el Buffet regular.Tienen chucherías encima de la vitrina de los postres que no son comestibles. Nos arruinó el fin de semana mi marido enfermo por comerlas y tuvimos que abandonar el hotel.

Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist schon in die Jahre gekommen.Das Essen ist ok. Auswahl reichlich aber Qualität mittelmäßig (viel Tiefkühlkost).Alles in allem aber sehr angenehm.Uns haben nur einige englische Familien extrem gestört, deren Verhalten und Essmanieren unter jeder Kritik waren.Kids spielten im Hotel Fußball (volle Kanne gehen Wände und Scheiben), schossen mit Pfeilen Löcher in die Wände. Luden Berge von Essen auf die Teller. Gegessen wurde mit den Fingern und die fast vollen Teller zurückgeschickt. Statt Zahnstochern wurde der Mund mit den Fongern inspiziert und nach dem Essen glich der Tisch einem Schlachtfeld sodass die Kellner nur den Kopf schüttelten. In das Spezialitäten Restaurant kamen Leute mit Turnhose und Nadeschlapfen, obwohl es einen Dresscode gab , etc .etc.Hier könnte die Hotelleitung mehr durchgreifen.Aber wie gesagt ... das Hotel selbst war ok und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Really pleasant and relaxing all inclusive hotel. Not too overcrowded, so easy to get loungers at the pool even in high season. Very pleasant restaurant staff. One grip would be that the pool bar is kind off dark and as a result feels dank.

El hotel super aburrido la comida muy repetitiva nada de animación eso si la habitación super limpia la piscina climatizada fría no le doi cómo pa 5 estrella el alcohol regular le doy 3 estrella como mucho Eso sí los huéspedes super amable

In general, the hotel amenities are quite acceptable, I've been here twice and might return. On the plus side are such elements like an all-inclusive, relatively affordable resort with pleasant staff, an okay location in terms of proximity to the beach, room, restaurant and overall conditions of the hotel. The kids club lists several activities that add to your child's experience, and is a definite advantage.
The food is what is to be expected from a AYCE buffet, even if you take one of your meals at their hotel "restaurants", so... meh.
They should definitely do something about their wi-fi.

Bonnes prestations en général mais piscines petites pour un 5 étoiles, chambre bruyante et il nest possible de se rendre à la plage ou en ville quavec un taxi, les shuttle de lhôtel ne sont pas pratiques au niveau de lhoraire et pas assez fréquents

Aunque al principio me pareció un hotel que no era el que esperaba, después me sorprendió gratamente, tanto que no descarto volver. El personal es extraordinario, amable y muy atento. La comida es estupenda, bien preparada y siempre están reponiendola. Un 10 a su restaurante a la carta. Está un poco alejado del centro de la Albufeira, pero tienen transporte gratuito, y si no te conviene el horario un taxi sale por poco más de 5 euros. Por cierto acaban de ganar su primera Eurocopa, PORTABENS!

Check-in/recepção: Só conseguimos fazer check in as 16h00, apesar de ter solicitado early-check in. Pedi um piso alto: ficámos num piso térreo.. Estamos a começar bem..
Como já li numa avaliação, é verdade que não é muito fácil "navegar" pelo hotel. Só consegui perceber onde era o nosso quarto, quando nos foram levar as malas.
Quartos: O melhor do Hotel. Ficamos numa suite familiar com 2 quartos, sala c/ kitchnette, e 3 casas de banho. 3 Lcd's de 42 polegadas. Foi de facto um dos melhores quartos onde ficámos nas nossas viagens. Amenities regulares, limpeza Ok. Toalhas já velhas e gastas, não admissível em 5 estrelas. Limpeza diária a chegar por volta das 16h00/16h30. Já percebi porque é fiz check in ás 16h00.. Não há wi-fi gratuito disponível. Boa insonorização.
O tudo Incluído: está ao nível de um hotel de 3 estrelas.Bebidas de linha branca. O TI é um serviço que a hotelaria portuguesa ainda não domina... A nível de refeições, bastante fraco, em alguns dias decepcionante. Falta de simpatia e disponibilidade dos funcionários. Melhorou bastante quando distribuí algumas notas de 10Eur.
Em termos de serviços: Piscinas exteriores, 2 piscinas bastante amplas e com espaço suficiente para as espreguiçadeiras. bar de apoio que serve lanches (hamburguers, cachorros, sandes, frutas, croissants), confesso que para mim era a melhor refeição do hotel.. O hotel fornece as toalhas para a Piscina. O hotel também dispõe de um spa com piscina interior e jacuzzi, que por sinal já funciona mal .
Miniclub: funciona bem, com um horário alargado, os miúdos adoraram.
De uma maneira geral: boas instalações, staff a precisar de alguma motivação e melhoria no atendimento. Se voltava ao hotel ? Acho que não... e isto é o mais importante..

Mucho calor en zonas comunes. Wifi en casi ningún sitio, ni de pago. Personal maravilloso.Te venden tres restaurantes en el todo incluido, solo hay uno. El otro es el bar de la piscina, que solo sirve bebidas, donde ponen comida italiana de noche, previa reserva limitada, y si tienes derecho. El a la carta, es al que pude entrar por 3 noches de ti, bastante mediocre. Te ofrecen postres en el menú que comes en el bufet.

Bra läge nära centrum o stranden, tyvärr lite dålig information av hotellet hur man skulle gå till stranden fanns ingen karta. Maten inget att klaga på lunchen bättre än middagen ala carte restaurangen utmärkt. Rummen rymliga m sköna sängar.Färgsättningen av hotellet o rummen tråkig,tre nyanser av brunt är inte snyggt.Barnvänligt o trivsamt.

Wir haben als Familie (2 Erwachsene/2 Kinder) zwei Wochen im Hotel verbracht und hätten uns eigentlich in jeder Hinsicht mehr erwartet! Das Sao Rafael Suite Hotel verdient seine 5 Sterne nicht!Infrastruktur- kein Internet im Zimmer- zu wenige und teilweise kaputte Liegen am Pool- einige Dinge waren kaputt/schlampig bzw. reparaturbedürftig (ist für ein 5-Sterne Haus nicht ok)- in einem kinderfreundlichen Hotel sollte man für Billard etc. nicht bezahlen müssenVerpflegung und Essen- oftmals fast kaltes Essen am Buffet und zu wenig Abwechslung (Nachmittagssnack 14 Tage lang Hamburger und Hot Dog, Essen entspicht Kantinenessen)- zwei improvisierte Restaurants (A la carte Restaurant: man darf egentlich nicht frei wählen, sondern ist auf drei Gänge limitiert/Mediterranes Restaurant = Pool Bar untertags, entsprechend kein Ambiente )- während unseres Aufenthalt wechselte das Besteck an der Poolbar von Metall- auf Plastik-Einwegbesteck- die angekündigten Essenzeiten laut Rezeption stimmten nicht (obwohl angekündigt, gab es kein Spätaufsteherfrühstück und keinen Snack nach 22.00 Uhr)Sauberkeit- die Zimmer wurden sehr oberflächlich gereinigt- die Tische und Liegen am Pool wurden wohl nie gereinigtMitarbeiter- freundlich, aber überfordert und nicht einem 5-Sterne Hotel entsprechend (im Mediterranen Restaurant auch auf Anfrage keine Weine von der Karte bestellbar)

Das Hotel hat uns gut gefallen, obwohl es unserer Meinung die 5-Sterne nicht verdient. 3 Sterne würden eher zutreffen.Unsere Suite war sehr gross (zwei Badezimmer, zwei rieisige TVs, zwei Balkone, viele Schränke usw) und ansprechend. Internet gibt es nur in der Lobby und bei vielen Usern ist das Netzt total überlastet. Der Spa bereich ist ok, obwohl das Dampfbad bei den Frauen die ganze Zeit nicht in Betrieb war, im Whirlpool funktionieren nicht alle Düsen und das Wasser im Pool dürfe etwas wärmer sein als 29 Grad. Der Spabereich war mässig sauber. Die Bedienung beim Morgenbuffet war nicht sehr gut. Manchmal wird das Teller schon abgeräumt, obwohl man noch nicht fertig ist. Kaffe erhielten wir manchmal erst nachdem wir schon gegessen hatten. Die Reinigung der Zimmer war super, obwohl uns danach zwei mal mehrere Handtücher fehlten.

Das Hotel liegt in Fußweite (ca. 300 Meter) von einem sehr schönen, kindergerechten Strand.Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich.Das Frühstück hat eine sehr gute Qualität und reichhaltige Auswahl.Das zuerst angebotene Zimmer war wohl das am schlechtesten gelegene Zimmer im Hotel und für eine Familie mit Kindern völig ungeeignet: Über der Hotellobby mit Auto und Busanfahrten Tag und Nacht! So überhaupt nicht akzeptabel, aber Tausch war möglich.
