What a great stay! The room itself was very tidy, clean and new. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Easy check-in. Besides all that the property is absolutely beautiful! My room had a terrace that overlooked the landscaping and pool area. However, if you are wanting to sleep in (past 8am) I would suggest requesting a room away from the breakfast area as the noise from the other guests having breakfast did carry into my room.

Wow we just loved everything about this place! The room was beautiful with 3 walls all of glass with view to the amazing garden with 2 pools. Breakfast was great and the owner was a wonderful host. Will definitely come back. Perfect place for any nature lover.

Drie prachtige villa's die tot een bijzonder geheel zijn verbouwd. Geweldige locatie, uitmuntende service en gastvrijheid. Hier kom je thuis en tot rust. Schitterende tuin, met twee schone maar onverwarmde zwembaden, is een sprookje. Bovendien is Cascais is de perfecte rustige en sfeervolle uitvalsbasis om Lissabon en de omgeving te ontdekken! Er zijn uitstekende lokale restaurants in de directe nabijheid. Lopend in 15 minuten te bereiken vanaf het treinstation van Cascais/Lissabon.

It was a quite wonderful stay, despite some mishaps of the reception that operates in way too small area and feels and looks a little amateurish. All in all a lovely hotel, an oasis in Cascais in walking distance from the action.

We stayed here for our anniversary. They upgraded our room. Very well maintained hotel. Felt like home there. The garden is nice and the sound of birds in the morning was so peaceful.

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage und das Personal ist sehr nett.Aber es ist alles einwenig schmutzig, nicht sehr sauber. Tischset werden nicht abgewischt, liegen längere Zeit(bis Nachmittags) vom Frühstück auf den Tischen. Wir haben es beim Check-Out auch mitgeteilt, es hat aber niemanden interessiert.

There's a nice big garden with a swimming pool and sun loungers everywhere. 10 minute walk to town center. If you are lazy, taxis are very cheap too around 5 euros. Séjour inoubliable dans un cadre magique: du calme, du confort, une vegetation qui invite au repos, un personnel charmant, souriant et très chaleureux et une promenade au milieu de belles maisons et un beau parc pour arriver au bord de l’eau (10 min à pied tout au plus). Seul regret pour nous, qui n’a toutefois pas gâché le séjour: veilleuses brûlées au dessus du lit, pas de kleenex dans la chambre ni de téléphone et nous étions réveillés tous les matins par le personnel qui préparait le petit-déjeuner et qui bavardait sans se rendre compte que notre chambre était à côté... ça a enlevé le charme du réveil calme dans un tel endroit. Nous en avons parlé aux responsables au moment du départ, ils semblaient receptifs. Allez-y, ça vaut la peine vraiment!

Las instalaciones son nuevas y modernas, habitaciones espaciosas, y con cocina, la mayoría dan al jardin o a la piscina , el jardín también da a la piscina. Tienen un amplio jardín tropical muy bonito y muy bien cuidado con algunas fuentes de agua que es una delicia oírlas. Piscina con un buen solárium y con yacusi. El trato del personal es excelente.

Un lugar tranquilo, lleno de vegetación. Le doy cuatro estrellas por que el jacuzzi no funciona al 100%, pero es de 5 estrellas. El personal muy amable, muy limpio todo muy nuevo y los jardines muchos y muy bien cuidados, es un sitio ideal para descansar. No sirven comidas, pero todas las habitaciones tienen cocina, lo que si te dan es el desayuno.

Esta cerca del centro de Cascais, a unos 10 min andando. Se aparca bien aunque es zona de pago(pero no limitada a 2 o 4 horas por lo que puedes poner todo el día). Las habitaciones están bien y la atención del personal es excepcional. Permiten perros con un suplemento por día.

Very nice location, in a quite calm area of Cascais but only 10 minutes walk from the center or the famous cliffs. People working there were very kind, the room was clean but a bit cold in the winter, and it did not get much warmer with the heating. The garden and living room areas are really nice, including the pool. Indeed a place to stay again, but maybe in the warmer season (we were there for New a Year).

It was a great day for us being at Casa Vela Guest House, they lovingly welcomed us, Ms. Nadia was very helpful and kind towards us. Since we were new to the place she helped us in making necessary arrangements in different ways. The rooms are so palacious and at the reasonable rates as well. The house has a beautiful environment with trees and swimming pool. It was a great experience for us. We loved staying at casa vela and so I strongly say that it is worth booking in this guest house.

Très bon accueil et services. Chambre avec kitchenette assez spacieuse car on était avec un enfant de 3 ans. Bon petit déjeuner. Grand jardin ombrage avec 2 piscines. A 15-20 min du centre, de la gare. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour et recommandons sans hésiter.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und uns wurde ausführlich das Hotel gezeigt. Leider stand kein Zimmer unserer Kategorie zur Verfügung (Suite, Kitchenette, 3.Bett) und uns wurde 1 Kategorie niedriger angeboten. Das Zimmer war sehr hübsch, allerdings laut, da im Haus nebenan gebaut wurde. Uns wurde ein anderes Zimmer angeboten, dass leiser war, allerdings recht dunkel.

Local muito sossegado, vista lindíssima. As casas de banho dentro dos quartos sem porta, só com cortina podem ser um pouco constrangedoras. O pequeno almoço poderia ter mais variedade.

Wer etwas heimisches und gemütliches sucht, nicht weit von Lissabon sein möchte, aber auch nicht mittendrin, ist hier genau an der richtigen Adresse!! Rein optisch hat uns die Villa durch die Mischung aus Altem und Neuem schon mal überzeugt und auch das Zimmer hat uns aus den Socken gehauen! Wir haben die Junor-Suit „Brazil“ in dem modernen Teil der Villa gebucht, in der sich eine kleine Küchenzeile befindet. Zur freien Verfügung wurde uns eine Nespresso- Kaffeemaschine, ein Wasserkocher sowie eine Mikrowelle, ein kleiner Kühlschrank und ein Kochfeld gestellt. An das Geschirr wurde auch gedacht! Die Dusche ist eine „zwei-Mann“ Dusche und steht im Raum - durch eine Wand wurde das Wc abgetrennt! Alles ist sehr offen gestaltet und die große Fensterfront sorgte für ausreichend Licht! Der Balkon lud uns jeden Abend zum Ausklingen auf einen Tee ein, der von Palmenblättern umringt ist - man fühlte sich wie in einem kleinen, privaten Dschungel! Wenn man wollte, sorgte täglich eine Hausdame für die Sauberkeit im Zimmer! Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang war bei Fragen immer für uns da und fragte immer wieder nach, ob wir noch etwas benötigen! Man hatte das Gefühl, sie interessieren sich für einen und wollten immer wissen, ob es uns hier gefällt... Das Frühstück geht von morgens bis 12 Uhr, was für uns persönlich super war, da wir uns nicht stressen mussten, um zeitig zum Frühstück zu kommen! Sitzmöglichkeiten gab es drinnen, aber auch draußen auf dem großen oder kleinen Balkonen im alten Teil der Villa! Es gab täglich frischen Saft in verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen (Orange, Mango, Birne), der regelmäßig nachgefüllt wurde! Käse- und Wurstaufschnitte, Rührei und Bacon wurden ebenso immer wieder nachgefüllt und für Naschkatzen war auch immer etwas dabei! Wir haben uns bewusst für dieses Haus entschieden, da wir etwas Ruhe haben, dennoch aber nicht allzu weit von Lissabon sein wollten! Der Fußweg zum Stadtkern von Cascais war nicht lang und auch die Fahrt mit dem Zug nach Lissabon ging immer flott! Die Anbindungen sind sehr gut und es fuhr alle paar Minuten eine Bahn! (Da könnte sich die Bahn hierzulande eine Scheibe von abschneiden ) Fazit: es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werden!!!

Hotel in sehr schöner Lage am Rande der Altstadt vom Cascais. Das Haus ist relativ neu mit einem tollen Garten und geschmackvoller, moderner Einrichtung. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Im Grunde hat dieses Haus demnach sehr großes Potential, wäre mein Aufenthalt nicht von einer Ameisenplage in meinem Zimmer beeinträchtigt gewesen. Die Lösung dieses Problems bestand darin, dass ich eine Sprühflasche mit Gift auf mein Zimmer gestellt bekommen habe. Ein alternatives Zimmer wurde nicht angeboten - eine professionelle Schädlingsbekämpfung wurde ebenfalls nicht durchgeführt. Fürmich hat sich dieses Haus, bei allem Charme, für zukünftige Buchungen erledigt.

Un sitio magnífico para pasar unos días en uno de los lugares más bonitos de Portugal. Lugar muy tranquilo y acogedor. Situado a menos de 10 minutos andando del centro. Las habitaciones están perfectamente equipadas. El hotel tiene una parte nueva, otra parte más clásica y un jardín con piscina y lugares de descanso increíbles. El servicio es perfecto, todos muy atentos y agradables, y te informan de todo lo que necesites. Muy recomendable, intentaré volver en verano.

Das Hotel eignet sich durch die gute Anbindung an Lissabon ( Bahnanschluss Cascais) sowohl für ein verlängertes Wochenende in Lissabon als auch für eine ganz entspannte Woche am Meer.

Schönes Hotel mit tollem Garten, Terrasse und Pool. Wunderschön gelegen. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es ist herrlich auf der Terrasse oder im Garten zu verweilen. Das Frühstück war reichlich und sehr lecker. Unserer Meinung nach sollte das ein oder andere, hier insbesondere die Terrassenmöbel, erneuert oder repariert werden sowie eine Reinigung der Umrandung des Pools wäre angebracht. Dann ist es hier perfekt!

A great location to stay, like a paradise and with a generous host (invited us to a coffee on the terrace with a beautiful view to the backyard and upgraded us to a better room) - though by foot with luggage from the train station a bit far (>1km on cobblestone and ascending)

Vi var två från vårt företag som var där på konferens. På webben såg det ut som det var en svit, men det var egentligen ett dubbelrum med extrabädd. Så rummet var ok, men inte mer. Det var dessutom sagt som en svit för två till tre personer. Hade vi varit tre hade det inte fungerat. Härlig trädgård, bra frukost. Fick bra tips på matställen som vi provade allihop och kändes mycket personligt. Tur att det var lugnt så vi kunde använda sällskapsrummen som arbetsrum utan att bli störda.
