Análise: We enjoyed a fantastic visit to this vineyard in August 2019, including a tour of the grounds and tasting a selection of Croft port. The views are spectacular, the staff are friendly and as knowledgeable as it is possible to be about the process of making port and the history of the Croft brand. The Douro valley more generally is a must-visit location in this area of Portugal and I highly recommend spending at least a day or two getting to know the region. Análise: We arrived and there was a group finishing a tasting so they said to come back in 20 minutes. So we walked around the estate and came back for a great tasting. There was not a lot of time left before the closing time, but we still had the chance to enjoy the wines and have a great conversation with the girl who worked there. Análise: Really nice and beautiful place, really good Red Wines! we did the standart tasting for 5 Persons what ends in a total of 75 Euro for 4 sample Wines! just realized inbetween the tasting that for 75 Euro we could have 5 1/2 Bottles of exact the same Wine what we just had a little taste of .... i see absolutely no relation and its very sad that even after my question about this strange Price Mismatch the staff couldnt give me clear answer why its so expensive without a reason???? Análise: We arrived excitedly today in the beautiful Douro Valley and our first stop was Carvalho Vineyarrd. And That was our first big mistake. Our second was to pay 19 Euros for a for glass sampler from an extraordinarily rude and arrogant attendee (presumably the company front person) behind the reception desk.
