Comimos 3 personas y las 3 terminamos con gastroenteritis. Los mejillones con crias de cangrejos dentro, cosa que nunca he visto, incomibles y dos de ellos negros, como con alquitrán. Las manos se quedaban negras, protestamos y nos ofrecieron cambiar el plato, que ya estaba casi terminado. Nos pusieron otra cazuela con mas mejillones en compensación que ya no pudimos comer del asco. Pongo una estrella para poder puntuar, pero no se la merece. Todo muy sucio, y desde que protestamos fueron muy amables, antes no.

Bar o restaurante como se pueda definir... El emplazamiento no está mal pero si abusaron cuando cobraron por un simple pan con una porcion mantequilla (5,00€!!!!) Indignante! Nunca pongo una crítica negativa pero esta esta vez fue demasiado, dijeron que tenían que ganar dinero, y tanto!!!

Food is okay, but not great. I've had way better seabreem in many retaurants throughout Portugal. The vegetables were soggy... Personnel seem very unhappy to be working there or perhaps they were bothered by the extreme heat... It was 36 degrees when we were there. Still it would have been nice to get a smile...
Outside there are loads of cars going by at half a metre from your table... Inside looks nice.

Pedímos arroz de marisco y pescado y no nos gustó nada, una receta muy particular arroz hervido con almejas y menta. El precio abusivo porque el marisco eran almejas y berberechos. No volveré en la vida.

Worst service experience in my life. The food was okay, a little overpriced, not very creative, but overall tasty. The interior decor is really charming, but when you start talking to the service, the whole magic falls apart. They act like they don’t give a f*k about costumers, we had to ask for everything. The only person that was nice, was the older woman on the bar. My advice- start caring about costumers, cause this place and food has a lot of potential, but is ruined by the service. Oh and the best thing happened at the end- we borrowed a lighter from the table beside, when the waitress came, in a very rude tone said: this is my. and took the lighter.

Auf den ersten Blick ein kleines Schmuckstück, etwas Abseits gelegen vom idyllischen Hafen. Kellner sehr freundlich und bemüht....empfahl uns eine Dorade für 2 aus der frischetheke. Laut Karte kostet eine Dorade 14€. Unsere Dorade für 2 mit Gemüse und 4 kleinen Kartoffeln sollte jedoch ohne jegliche Vorwarnung 40€ lauten.
Auch wenn alles wirklich schmackhaft war fühlten wir uns total über den Tisch gezogen und können behaupten, dass es mit Abstand das teuerste Restaurant im Vergleich in Faro war

Zeer lekker eten voor een vriendelijke prijs. Heel veel visgerechten uiteraard. Eigenaar is tweevoudig wereldkampioen boksen ( licht- of middengewicht).

Früher sehr gut, heute lieblos von der Bedienung, der Umgang mit dem Fisch, noch die Zubereitung.
Leider kein Interesse an Mensch und Umwelt.

Fresh fish served inside or outside at sidewalk tables. Charming servers spoke the barest bits of English and I know only three Portuguese words, still, I got exactly the right food. Pan roasted sea bass with lightly steamed broccoli & carrots with a side of fresh tomatoes & onions for 10€; a glass of sparkling white wine, a dish of olives and a bottle of water was an additional 8€. I'd go back.

El mejor restaurante de Faro para mi opinión, sin lujos pero una cocina casera y rica, todo fresco, de calidad y buenisimo, decir que el personal totalmente casero y campechano. Hay zonas en Faro con muchos restaurantes pero con unos precios elevados para la calidad que tienen.

Serveuse Sibinia très accueillante.
Nous y sommes allés deux fois et c'était bon l'addition correcte.
Je recommande l'une des meilleures tables de Faro.

Best place we went in Faro. We went for dinner and as it was so good we went for lunch again the next day before taking the boat. Really good starters and AMAZING sardines. Staff is super friendly and price very reasonable!!

Para finalizar pagamos 11€ por isso é não tivemos direito de fatura

I'm coming here every year, food is ok for reasonable price, service try to be attentive but last time i was here in June, there was 2 waiters (man & woman) yelling at each other in portugese (swearing and arguing)...sorry but if you have customers eating in your place, customer suppose to feel good atmosphere so you keep the drama once you close a restaurant.

Sitio genial para cenar al lado del centro pero sin el jaleo del mismo. Comida 100% portuguesa de buena calidad, pedimos la cataplana d marisco y pescado fue todo un acierto. Inmejorable el sabor del marisco!! El señor que nos atendió fue muy amable y simpático. No se puede pasar por Faro Y no cenar allí!

Unfortunately we have to share the opinion of some of the other people here.
We chose this restaurant because my travel guide recommended it for its "fair prices and friendly service". Well, we had neither of those.
The lady who served the food was incredibly unfriendly. We had to ask several times if we could order. The food came quickly but was average, I'd say. I had ordered the squid which was not on the menu (because the other two things from the menu I tried to order were shot down with a cold "we do not have"). I was pretty sure she said 7,50€ when she told me the price, but when I saw that on the bill afterwards she wrote 17,50€ I thought I must have misunderstood... After what I have read in the comments I'm not so sure it was my mistake, after all.
After asking 3 times (!) for the bill and a coffee and waiting 40 minutes for it, we payed a bill of 55€ in total and left very disappointed.
By far the worst experience for now on our beautiful Portugal vacation. I would not recommend to come here.

Sort of shambolic in an entertaining way. If it's not just a place to wait for the ferry go elsewhere, but if you need to eat or drink here you'll have an okay meal with a side of faulty towers-esque charm.

Do not recommend this place. They deceived us with the price of portion. Told us that fish costs 15EUR/portion, but gave us a bill 50EUR. They accepted it was their mistake with "english language" but we had to pay for it. Be carefull with that place.

Very nice lunch experience. The food was fresh, simple, tasty and delicious. The staff was very nice and friendly. They gave us advice about amount of food to order, and what shells and fish to take. We tried mixed seafood platter that was excellent and grilled red sea bass that was really nice. The house and bottled wine was good. The place is situated near the sea, in the quite part. The prices were very reasonable. Nice place to visit.

Auf den ersten Blick hatten wir gedacht einen kleinen Schatz zu finden. Leider war in diesem (im wahrsten Sinne) nur Sand.
Aber von Vorne:
Bereits bei der Bestellung hätten wir uns wundern sollen. Wir wollten Cataplana essen - laut Karte: 30€ (mit Meeresfrüchten) für 2 Personen.
Die Bedienung teilte uns jedoch mit, dass das was wir wollen 55€ kosten würde. Wir fragten nach Cataplana mit Meeresfrüchten (also das laut Karte). Da wir die Preise an der Ostalgarve nun schon kannten und uns dieser Preis definitiv zu hoch erschien suchten wir uns auf Empfehlung der Bedienung eine "Seafood-Plate" für 25€ aus.
Es kam eine Platte mit verschiedenen Muscheln. In keinem Fall im Wert von 25€, aber deswegen nicht die schlechte Bewertung. Die erfolgt, weil die Muscheln voller Sand und ungeputzt waren und ungenießbar.
Insgesamt fühlten wir uns während des ganzen Essens über den Tisch gezogen und getäuscht.
Da die Bedienung auch nicht mehr nachgefragt hat, ob das Essen geschmeckt hat, gehen wir davon aus, dass sie sich darüber wohl bewusst war.
Definitiv können wir nicht empfehlen in diesem Restaurant zu essen!!!

A very disappointing eating experience. The fish meal was mediocre, small in portion and very expensive. My wife and I by contrast had the same fresh fish meal in Loule yesterday for a fraction of the cost. My advice would be to walk on by.

E um pequeno restaurante com esplanada, o pessoal e muito simpatico e acolhedor. Feijoada de marisco 5 estrelas, as ostras tambem e sobremesas de comer e chorar por mais!!! 5 estrelas a preço muito acessivel!
