Amazing service and good atmosphere but food was really disappointing. We ordered the cataplana, which lacked flavour and the prawns were overcooked. Not the best value for money in this region.

This is a lovely restaurant. The owner & staff are very welcoming & friendly. A good choice on menu & the show you what fish they have before it is cooked. It is best to book a reservation before you go.

Wenn ein Restaurant 40 Jahre alt wird spricht das fast für sich!
Gemütliches Lokal mit Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre, sehr offener und freundlicher Service, guter Hauswein, unfassbar leckeres Essen (sowohl der frische Fisch als auch das Steak) und grandioser Nachtisch!
Wir waren in unserem Urlaub 2 mal hier und wenn wir erneut in Portugal sind werden wir definitiv wieder kommen!

Nous avons été très séduit par le lieu et par l'accueil chaleureux de Béatrice, sur place depuis 39 ans ! Les portions sont copieuses et très bonnes. Cuisine sans fioritures et produits de qualités. Nous avons pris les calamars parfaitement préparés et cuisson maîtrisée. Mention spéciale pour la carte des vins de super qualité. Béatrice nous a bien conseillée.

Voilà un petit resto à ne pas manquer tenue par une française nommée Béatrice elle vous reçoit avec un grand sourire vous assoie au bar en attendant vous offre une coupe de champagne puis vous installe et vous explique tous les plats de la carte avec un plaisir que avant de manger on a les papilles qui frétillent elle nous a conseillé un plat typique du Portugal la cataplana un mega plaisir de poisson de l'entrée au dessert vos papilles sont toutes excité avec un bon vin le final était en apothéose

The atmosphere in the restaurant is really pleasant. The menu is in Portuguese but nevertheless all the waiters and waitress are really kind and willing to explain the best dishes conforming to your wills in English and even in Italian. I suggest following their proposals which can be different each day. We really appreciated the starters and the lamb meat.
The desserts are e beautifully shown off in the middle of the room (a bit expensive). In general the cost is fair. I really recommend this restaurant!

This is the only restaurant we returned to twice on our trip to this area. Super friendly service, great food, and fair prices.
Sea bass and sea bream both great. Lamb was great.
Only disappointment was the fish soup.
If the French owner recommends any special fish, order it. The French flair differentiates this restaurant from others in a great way.
Complimentary shuttle service to your hotel - just ask when you call to reserve. Reserve a day in advance.

Das vezes que jantei lá só tenho bem a dizer. Espaço amplo com esplanada. Está um bocado escondido no meio da confusão de urbanizações da Quarteira mas é um achado que vale a pena, com muito movimento na hora de jantar. Staff muito simpático e comida muito boa e variada (Peixe fresco, Marisco, Carne) Às 6as podem comer mexilhão à descrição e têm sempre pratos do dia.

J ai rarement vu un service aussi attentionné et acceuillant. Client difficile pourtant Béatrice la patronne a été au petit soin... le repas est à la hauteur de la gentillesse tout est dans l esprit et l esprit est au top. On reviendra et on vous le conseille

An amazing little restaurant which I wish we'd found earlier on our holiday! Not the cheapest place around but definitely well worth it. Loads of good fresh produce, extensive wine list and a dessert fridge with loads of amazing cakes and tarts. Really friendly, enthusiastic and attentive staff that speak fluent English and French. Would definitely recommend

Excellent restaurant in Quartera. Great host (Beatrice), and her staff are equally well trained, knowledgeable and intent on great service. Food is amazing too. We have been before ona previous visit to the Algarve and have booked again for later on this trip.

Si vous voulez bien manger c’est ici. Accueil formidable, tout en gentillesse. Le chef n’hésite pas à venir conseiller et proposer. La serveuse est adorable et parle parfaitement français. La cuisine est délicate et savoureuse, tout est fait maison même les desserts. Le décor est cosy et l’ambiance détendue. Had the black scabbard, and I can honestly say it was the best fish I've had in my life. On top of that, service was excellent and the decor phenomenal. I very highly recommend checking this place out, it was the highlight of our trip!

Lovely meal this evening, with exceptional service. The restaurant is really cosy and has a great ambiance. Its a bit out of the way but they offer a free taxi service to pick you up and drop you back, should you wish. Very good

A great find away from all the hussle and bustle , beautiful local cheese and amazing fresh fish. well looked after by all staff espically Bruna. Well worth the walk up the hill ! (went twice in our one week stay )

A lovely place with great food and character tucked away in a part of the town I hadn't visited before. Great food and wine, and service to match. I had a beautiful piece of lamb which was slow cooked until tender and tasty. All in for four people was 180 Euros, and we had three courses and didn't hold back on the great Portuguese wine on offer.

Gostámos muito do restaurante. os funcionários foram atenciosos e a comida é EXCELENTE! Comemos lulinhas à algarvia e robalo grelhado, ambos os pratos estavam óptimos. Enquanto aguardávamos por mesa foi nos oferecido um copo de espumante. o restaurante é acolhedor, com uma decoração característicos e cheia de pormenores típicos. Possui também uma vasta oferta de vinhos de qualidade. Aconselhamos!

Restaurant sympathique, nous avons étaient très bien reçu par le patron qui parle français ; de très bon conseil sur le poisson "sabre" qui était délicieusement et simplement cuisiné ainsi que le vin de région qui l'accompagnait...aux petits soins pour nous, n'hésitait pas à revenir afin de savoir si c'était à notre goût....le dessert une spécialité de l'Algarve : une tarte aux figues, amandes et caroube à tomber, dommage que ce n'était qu'une petite part... merci au patron pour le digestif aux amandes : nous en avons apporté dans nos bagages.

6 étoiles: cadre chaleureux et soigné sans être prétentieux. Accueil sympathique et polyglotte, équipe aux petits soins pour les clients et surtout de très bons plats (brochette de gambas, pâtes aux légumes, costilles et les gateaux.... ) pour un prix raisonnable!

Béatrice the owner is so attentive to detail.The second time we ate there she picked us up as part of the service, remembered that one of our party was celiac so had gotten gluten free rolls. The food never disappointed and the desserts...

A lot of good points : welcomed with espumante and seated soon after even though we didn’t book a table. Service was really good from every member of staff and the quality of the fish was superb. Unfortunately the food itself was bland. The fries weren’t seasoned, no dressing on the salad and I think the squid may have been cooked in a burnt pan. If they could just fix the simple things with the food then I’d happily come back.

Comme tout le monde je souligne la qualité de l accueil mais nous avons été très déçus.
La cataplana, plat local, est très fade et les fruits de mer baignent dans liquide insipide. Pas d assaisonnement mais pour le coup addition un peu salée !!!! Dommage.

Fantastic authentic Portuguese restaurant. The food was first class, the fish was fresh and delicious. The service was so good, our group was so well looked after by all the staff, we went back twice and will be going back during next year's trip. They even provided mini buses to pick us up from the hotel and take us back, free of charge.

Great food, great service! We ate fish pasta and was amazing! The staff knows English and it was much easier for us compared to other restaurants we have been to in Quarteira! We ate fish pasta and for dessert almond roll! Delicious!

Staff was friendly, recommended us the freshest of the dishes that were available. The place is one of the cleanest and fanciest (but not expensive!) we've been to in Quarteira. Nice furniture, decorations, atmoshpere, jazz music. The dishes we tried were a 7/10, but the dessert...oh my, it was amazing!

Buena comida con generosas raciones y exquisitos postres. Tienen una carta de vinos aceptable, muy variada. El trato es estupendo, agradable y discreto. Es un lugar muy tranquilo y para comer no es necesario hacer reserva, pero sí para la cena. Está escondido en la parte popular de Quarteira.

Ce restaurant merite vraiment sa réputation pour sa cuisine et son choix de plats frais et variés , un accueil tres chaleureux ou la "patrone", française, s'est empressée de nous proposer tout un plateau de poissons frais ou nous avons craqué pour un excellent "poisson SABRE NOIR"très bien préparé.
Nous reviendrons avec un grand plaisir!

I don't know the difference between this place and next door so the review is going here, I believe they share the same kitchen anyway.
For the first time in many years of coming to Portugal has a restaurant finally managed to cook a piece of Tuna the correct way as I have requested, seared! I've asked in so many places previously and it always comes Algarvian style of just plain brown, but not here. I think it might be because I understand this place to be a French restaurant, the woman understood exactly what I wanted and I think for her that was precisely how a Tuna Steak should be cooked - so that it's pink inside.
I was happy. Someone else reported a possible issue with some mussels but luckily I did not try them so I can't say.
Drinks service was too slow initially, but hey!
