Vraiment un super établissement. Les produits sont de très bonne qualité et rapport qualité prix vraiment excellent félicitations. Les infrastructures génial. La propreté nickel. L'accueil super . Le personnel super sympa et très professionnel et avec le sourire cela devient rare félicitations encore je recommande vivement l'établissement

We've just come home from our holiday to beautiful Salema, it's a wonderfully cute fishing village with what must be one of the best beaches in Portugal.
We visited in early march out of the busy season when it was quiet, some mornings we were the only ones on the beach.
All the people are lovely, all the seafood restaurants are great and serve fish caught that morning by the boats in the harbour.
But the best thing...? Walk along the beach to the east side near the wooden steps and you'll find a rock with genuine dinosaur footprints! Only discovered recently, there are 7 orthopod footprints preserved in the rock.
It's well worth a visit if you are in South Portugal

Excelente e pacata praia do barlavento algarvio, com amplo espaço de areal.
No pico da época balnear o estacionamento é um pouco condicionado e escaço.
É pena não possuir apoios públicos de praia como chuveiros e lava-pés. Apenas possui um WC público de apoio à praia.

Фишка этого пляжа - цепочка отпечатков следов динозавров на камне. К нему спускается лестница прямо от парковки. Но осторожно, ступеньки сделаны из пластика и очень сильно нагреваются!

Stopped at Salema enroute to Sagras, the southernmost tip of Europe. Enjoyed beautiful stoll through winding, narrow streets ending up at Boia Restaurant. After lunch strolled the seawall walkway. Parking is "interesting" but relatively non-event. Be bold ;-)

The beach is nice but...first of all the good things. It's sandy and has nice rock formations. In the rock formations are nicely preserved petrified former sea live and even petrified dinosaurs footprints.
BUT right next to them, to left to the ladder to climing up the cliff, there is a active sewer tubing creating right next to the petrified footprints a disgustingly stinking puddle of "human leftovers". Unfiltered and untreated, of course! This is just disgusting and for children actually dangerous. Furthermore, this gets sooner or later - as intended - washed away polluting the water and the sand in the near by area. How can local authorities allow this. Change it!

Ein wunderbarer Strand. Hier kann man sich erholen, am Strand spazieren, im Lokal herumlungen, die Dorfstraße hinauflaufen oder einfach nur auf der Bank sitzen. Parkplatz (vor der Saison) nie ein Problem, öffentliche Toilette fast am Strand (am Parkplatz). Mich stört manchmal nur ein gewisse Unordnung und laufende Bautätigkeit ( das kann man aber auch übersehen).

Elle est presque dans son jus cette partie de la baie de Selema, cependant les cabanes de pêcheurs mériteraient d'être plus typiques pour réhausser le cachet de ce lieu magnifique. La partie ancienne du village située juste au dessus mérite aussi une visite. Par contre, les constructions sans goût sur les hauteurs de la baie gâchent en partie ce site exceptionnel malgré tout.

A beautiful south facing beach with pure sand which is cleaned daily. A bit windy yesterday which caused waves which the surfers enjoyed. Ample dining and drinking places right on the beach. I can imagine that parking will be a big problem in the summer. Definitely needs be on your list to visit.

We have been here in 2007. And now, in 2018, I could notice many many improvements. The beach got larger. And now is very clean. Nice place for sunset too. Buildings were restaurated and repainted in local style.
In 2007 we stayed at Romantik Villa in top of the hill. That time was a very good experience.

Suuper lieu de vacances... une vue imprenable sur la mer... En revanche, il se peut qu'il y est trop de monde à la piscine de l'hôtel... Il faut absolument louer une voiture, dans le but de visiter les villes des alentours ( notamment Luz qui est aussi une superbe ville) Attention, l'eau est très froide !!

Lovely beach with plenty of open space to make your own spot. It is a sandy beach with the odd stone thrown in with toilets and a shop more or less on the beach for drinks. If you want sunbed then there are plenty to hire.

Très belle plage de sable fin. Pas trop touristique, assez tranquille et prope. L'accès oeste à la plage est un peu dangereux. La dernière partie des escaliers est très profond et fini sur des rôcher donc très attention avec vos enfants.

Nice and clean public beach with life guard and usually very calm sea. Good for families. Few very nice restaurants around (book your table if you planning to stay for a dinner) two grocery shops, small hotels and lots of apartments. It's busy during a high season (July/August) but not overcrowded.

Cresci e vivi em Burgau que fica perto da Salema. Praia que frequentei durante toda a minha juventude. Após alguns anos voltei a visitar e o que encontrei foi uma Salema mais bonita e mais organizada, com mais serviços para oferecer aos nossos visitantes.

Great beach with something for everyone unless you want jet skis' etc.
Visited in peak season but if you are able and prepared to walk 250 metres in either direction you can get plenty of space to yourselves.
Lovely sand, suitable for young children (but beware the beach shelves/breaking surf can get big for toddlers). Beds and umbrellas available in central area. Bar and restaurants in immediate vicinity.
No public toilets but buy a bottle of water and the bar will let you use theirs. Very limited parking for disabled - public car park is 5 mins walk from beach. If you must have water sports then best look elsewhere else as it's not that sort of place.

Nice, clean, well maintained beach, never overcrowded, with nice restaurants in the (tourist) village behind, a kind of upmarket place. Dinosaur footprints at the beach some 500 m west of the centre beach at the wooden stairs (125 Million years old)

A quiet village to be proud of, well kept green with small outdoor gym. No amenities seen. Definitely worth a visit. Great views and fabulous beaches. Lots of cats being looked after by some kind resident who places bowls of food around the small narrow streets :)

Ein schöner Strand ohne jetzt besondere Eigenschaften....das besondere ist eher eine Holztreppe die von oben herab zu echten Dinosaurier- Spuren führt. Nicht zugänglich vom Strand liegt etwas oberhalb.....jedenfalls haben wir nur via Straße mit Parkplatz oberhalb des Strandes einen Weg gefunden

Real pearl of patience amidst Portuguese beaches
In course of our two-week tour around the country on our way to Faro we especially visited this beach to have chances to swim there and have some sunbathes since the weather was very beautiful and the Atlantic ocean as a result of that was too peaceful :).
Despite the fact that in late October the water temperature was just 18 degrees centigrade we twice swam enough and then were gladdened with the sun - it was very delightful :).
Close to very beach there, at least, three small shops with foodstuff and beverages, some cafes and parking slots (however, their number seems to be very inadequate when the very season lasts).
It's wide enough and extended so that many guests could be there without any disturbances.
This beach, if to trust oceanologists :), is one of the most patient in the whole country and that visit confirmed their research opinions :). Thus, there you could swim and bath even with children.
And don't worry on your way there - a navigator determines and sets directions to that without any delay and problem even using off-line maps :).

A minha praia a minha aldeia e o mau modo de vida
No verão cheia de turistas no inverno quase deserta
Com grande oferta de alojamento, restaurante e alguns bares
Ótimas vistas sobre o mar
Podemos observar pegadas de dinossauros em ambos os lados da praia de espécies diferentes
Do lado esquerdo do fundeadouro dos barco mais afastado da costa existe um museu subaquático do navio Almirante Francês L'OCEAN onde ainda se pode ver algumas peças de metal como âncoras,canhões e outras peças mais pequenas, alguns pedaços do convés de madeira também
Algumas actividades efectuadas na Salema e a sair de Salema:
-pesca embarcada
-observação de cetáceos ( golfinhos , baleias)
-visitas as grutas do barranco de barco ou Kayak
-visita as grutas de Benagil
-aluguer de bicicletas , scooters, kayaks e paddles

Wir hatten nicht vermutet, dass hier die viel Tourismus ist. Zum 1. Mal waren wir in dieser, eigentlich eher einsamen Ecke. Im oberen Bereich des Ortes befindet sich eine Bungalow/Appartement Anlage, aus etlichen Häusern bestehend. Großer Parkplatz in der Nähe des riesigen Strandes. Fast alle Häuser waren z. Zt. unseres Besuches (23.11.19) geschlossen.

If you're a sun worshipper then this is the spot to people watch, get your tan. You can go topless discreetly. People don't usually stare. The surf, even in Fall was gentle. Sand was cozy, close to the town center, parking is a slight challenge. If you're staying in a lodging, best to walk but it's all up hill. Good for exercise. There are 2 Mercado, a large and a mini. If you want to mind your budget, shop in Portimao before,coming in.

Boa praia onde quase tudo fica perto. Sitio ideal para passar férias em família. Vários parques de estacionamento para carros. Diversos restaurantes sendo para mim os melhores em qualidade /preço o Restaurante A Bóia e a Casa Pizza , proximidade com os habitantes para quem habitualmente lá vai, algumas lojas, vários Multibancos, minimercados, alojamento diverso incluindo particulares que alugam quartos ou apartamentos, posto de abastecimento de combustível a 3 km em Budens, diversos equipamentos para alugar para diversas actividades (pranchas, barcos etc), bares abertos só até às 2 da manhã.

Plaża około kilometrowej długości, ulokowana w spokojnym miasteczku o tej samej nazwie. Oferuje ładny, dość drobny, biały piasek oraz przepiękne zachody słońca. Spora część plaży przebiega pod sporymi, niezwykle malowniczymi klifami o ciekawym ubarwieniu.

A praia sempre muito limpa e o mar calminho, bom para uns banhos relaxantes. Restaurantes no local com excelentes opções e até nem é muito caro. Para relax é do best !

Beau village de bord de mer, les prix des restaurations ne sont vraiments pas abusés. Pour la plage, si vous voulez un endroit sans commerce et avec moins de monde vous la trouverez à la sortie du village en direction de Burgau, en bas de la grande descente à droite et tout droit, garanti que cela vous plaise.

Praia de Salema is a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. On windy days you can shelter yourself near the rocks on the west side of the beach. There is also a set of stairs you can walk up to get an even better view of the sea.
The water here is clear and refreshing for a swim. It is not too wavey and suitable for families and water sports like kayak, paddle boarding or skim boarding (all of which are available for reasonably priced hire here).
The town of Salema is a small and charming place. We were a young couple who stayed 5 nights here and reccomend the getaway for all types of travellers looking for a small, beachside town that is easily walkable.

Lovely clean beach. Toilets clean. Cheapest sunbed and parasol hire in the area. Plenty of places to eat. Small supermarket and gift shop.

Una playa bonita y deliciosa,sita en un pequeño y coqueto pueblo de pescadores. No tiene el encanto de Burgau pero merece la pena conocerla. En Agosto el agua está helada, alcanza temperaturas de quince grados y es impropia para el baño. Hay que echarle muchas ganas para bañarse.

Great beach, if you ask the locals they can show you dinosaur footprints. It's a very calm beach, not many tourists. What're is usually colder than usual but that's completely fine with the sun shining as it is. Definitely a must visit! :)

Lovely sheltered beach with lovely soft sand. It is also a working beach with fishing boats coming and going. Also fun to watch the fishermen bringing in their catch. Village has plenty of restaurants for a quick bite or even a meal. Cliffs shelter the beach from winds which is great on windy days.

Een van de prettigste kustplaatsjes aan de Algarve. Nog niet bedorven door het massatoerisme, dus: goede restaurants met prettige prijzen, fijne persoonlijke bediening, je wordt niet weggekeken als je bord leeg is, en een schoon en heerlijk strand. Graag allemaal wegblijven dus!!!

Big long beach with lots of space and some fishing boats for good photos. Good for snorkelling but I prefer rocks and caves to swim in and out of. Good restaurants and quieter bars at the back of the beach. Perfect beach for kids and families.

Einer der vielen Stränden Algarves. Sehr langer Strand und überhaupt nicht überrannt. Wenn mann weiter nach Osten am Strand entlang geht, kann man sogar Felsformationen sehen und wunderschöne Fotos machen.

Der Strand ist schön, wenn nicht viel los ist. Leider schmeißen viele Touristen ihren Müll in den Sand. Vor allem Zigarettenkippen. Aber der Sonnenuntergang ist schön und die Menschen sind friedlich. Besser man legt sich abseits der verbrannten Engländer abseits der Liegen, sonst hat man keine Ruhe.

This place is so rad I dont even want to tell people about it... dont miss the dinosaur footprint fossils down the beach to the west by the stairs. Parking can be tough but there is a 2nd lost higher up on the hill to the west with the aforementioned stairs down the beach.
