Visitei e não gostei. O atendimento feito por uma "estagiária" belga, foi excelente. O peixe que supostamente deveria ser o centro das atenções, era literalmente mal conseguido. Pouco fresco ou até com mau aspecto, palavra de quem percebe de peixe. Na confecção nada a dizer e o preço muito acima do serviço.

Went here with 7 other people and a baby and honestly sat down at which ever restaurant could accommodate our group. However, we were pleasantly surprised at the high quality food on offer. We have been to many places in Spain and Portugal and were not expecting this quality of food at a restaurant right on the beach. If you are staying in this area I would definitely recommend this place for lunch while enjoying the beach throughout the day.

2018: leider muss ich meine gute Bewertung von letztem Jahr revidieren! Was hier inzwischen geboten wird ist eine Unverschämtheit und viel zu teuer. Vor allem aber richtig schlecht gekocht. Schade, Portugal bräuchte eigentlich mehr soviel gute Orte wie es im letzten Jahr begonnen hat und nicht so eine schlechte Qualität zu überteuerten Preisen bei absolut dilettantischer Gastronomie.
2017:ein Essen im O Sargo! Was für ein wunderschöner Ort mit hervorragendem Essen. Familienbetrieb einer reizenden und fleißigen Familie, excellente Küche, die beste seit Langem! Die Location ist unbeschreiblich schön, cooles Restaurant, sehr hübsch und liebevoll in einer einzigartigen Lage an einem der schönsten Strände der Welt - dem Monte Clérigo Beach. Das O Sargo ist auf jeden jeden Fall einen Besuch wert, Preise sind günstig, Küche sehr sehr gut und der Ausblick bleibt ewig in Erinnerung

Me and my family went to the restaurant unpretentiously and it was a super nice surprise! Only one waitress to serve all the tables but she is always with a super smile and quite helpful. We have a restaurant in Germany, I would like to call her to work with us! Great food, good portions - octopus, risotto w/ salmo, black rice and t-bone - a bit more expensive than the other restaurants we went on the coast, but well worth the visit. Good terrace for good weather. Super recommend!

Bem localizado na praia de Monte Clérigo em Aijezur. Atendimento muito simpático. Conceito genuíno de pratos gostosos e bem apaladados. Recomenda-se. O Sargo é um restaurante muito especial com uma culinária inovadora de sabores, e pratos de iguarias novas e antigas. O restaurante tem uma esplanada bem orientada sobre a praia de Monte Clerigo com uma vista deslumbrante. Aconselha-se uma visita.

Havia uma funcionária a ralar queijo para uma caixa numa mesa do restaurante Havia um cheiro esquisito junto às mesas exteriores, presumo que viesse de alguma fossa. O preço praticado é para um restaurante com algum requinte, o que não é o caso, já que estamos a falar de um simples restaurante de praia.

Em pleno Agosto não apresentam menus de criança para o jantar, apresentando como alternativa esparguete com alho ou molho de tomate. Um restaurante que apresenta pratos com preços médios de 25 euros devia ter mesas mais limpas, e mesmo sendo um restaurante de praia ter lugares com mais conforto.

This place was unexpected. Delicious, beautiful food. Highly recommend the tuna sashimi and salmon tartar. The sangria is perfect with just the right kick and the octopus salad is moreish! Perfect match to the great vibes on the beach! Happily come here over and over again!

Nice ambient with live music. However, I waited over 1 h for octopus with sweet potato. Meal was half cold when it arrive and octopus was very hard to chew. Also, if you like to have a drink like modronho, you need to ask the owner if you are allowed to drink it (or at least if you are women).

Wir waren letztes Jahr und dieses Jahr im O Sargo abends Essen. Im letzten Jahr waren wir sehr zufrieden, handelt es sich doch um ein Restaurant, welches gute portugiesische Küche zu zwar höheren aber angemessenen Preisen anbot. Das Ambiente ist rustikal, strandnah, etwas ungepflegt und das Personal scheint teilweise ausgebildet und zum anderen Teil unausgebildet zu sein. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Speisekarte ist abwechslungsreich. Gekocht wird interessant mit einigen Überraschungen und durchaus schmackhaft. Handwerkliche Schwächen allerdings inbegriffe. So befanden sich gare, halbgare und matschige Kartoffeln auf meinem Teller. Das Essen war lauwarm. Alles in Allem lohnt sich der Besuch daher nicht unbedingt. Allerdings muss ich auch anmerken, dass in diesem Jahr die Karte deutlich teurer geworden ist. Die Preise entsprechen einem anderen gastronomischen Niveau, aber der Betreiber scheint hier testen zu wollen, was möglich ist.

Wow! Außergewöhnlich gutes portugiesisches Restaurant direkt am Meer. Die Speisen werden mit sehr viel liebe zubereitet und sind gut sättigend. Das Speiseangebot ist übersichtlich, aber dafür sorgfältig ausgewählt und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir hatten ribeye steak und Pulpo und waren sehr zufrieden. Zu zweit mit suppe, Bier, Café und weinen für insgesamt 60€. Etwas teurer, doch dennoch einen Besuch wert.

Ja, das Essen ist im Vergleich zu den anderen Restaurants in der Umgebung etwas hochpreisiger. Das Essen war aber wirklich qualitativ hochwertig und alles hat super geschmeckt. Am Ende haben wir 30 € pro Person gezahlt inklusive Getränke beim Essen und Bierchen/Weinchen to go für den Heimweg. Außerdem gab uns das Team noch jede Menge Brot mit, das sonst weggeworfen worden wäre - wir konnten es gut gebrauchen. Auch das Ambiete dort hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Speisen werden wirklich sehr hübsch angerichtet serviert und sehen wirklich vielversprechend aus, geschmacklich sind sie jedoch sehr enttäuschend!! Das Ambiente des Lokals ist ansprechend, Stühle sind für ein längeres Sitzen nicht gerade bequem. Service und Küche wirken unorganisiert, Speisen sind teilweise nicht annähernd zeitgleich am Tisch. Insgesamt leider enttäuschender Besuch, noch dazu stark überteuert für portugiesische Verhältnisse.

Leckeres, außergewöhnliches Essen
Ich hatte die Rote Beete Gnocchi mit Gorgonzola Sauce und Entenbrust. Die Gnocchi waren selbstgemacht und besonders lecker.
Der Service war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Great view and location. Service was good. Food fell completely flat for me. While the presentation was great the taste was okay. I had the tuna takaki with a guacamole onion salad. The tuna was a great piece of fish but it was overall lacking flavor. The sauce that it came with was overall very salty. The guacamole salad was quite good. The dish itself was quite small and not very fiilling especially considering the price.
My wife had the poke bowl which i tried later and it was okay. Overall, just not very good especially after all of the reviews that I had read.

Not bad food but the service was very slow.
We were two person and the food arrived with more than 40 minutes of difference in between and the only answer that we received was a smile of the waiter.
More than the time the tuna of the tataki was dry and the noodles with vegetables very oily.
The restaurant is cool and they have all the stuff to look like this but they have to improve the kitchen and the service.

It is a nice place for everyone who goes surfing and bathing as you can sit on wooden benches and chairs so that you can wear your wet clothes. But 12€ for a bowl of overcooked spaghetti that are not tasty at all is just too expensive. Staff did not really care about us either, they took our plates away without asking if we were finished. The other dishes like salads looked tasty but were also expensive. Maybe our experience was just unfortunate but I dont understand the hype about this restaurant.

The best restaurant in Aljezur so far!
The restaurant doesn't seem so special from teh outside and the prices seemed a bit high at the beginning – but it was TOTALLY worth it and the price was absolutely justified due to the quality.
I ate the tuna with lemon rice and a mango cheesecake as desert and it was delicious!
Highly recommendable! :)

Nice place to get dinner and a nice sunset at the beach nearby. The food is very good but a bit pricey for Portuguese standards. If you are looking for a local Portuguese experience you have to go to another place since it's quite touristy and more on the "hip-side".

Aceptable pero con precios elevados. Hay lo dejo. Nunca pague un zumo a 4 euros. Que cuando colaron y le quitaron los hielos se quedo en medio vaso (Mi hijo). El arroz tiene una pintaza con sorpresas de tres gajos de limon, que son 26 euros, quizas sea por las vieras.

trotz Reservierung wurden wir nach 1 1/5 Stunden rausgeschmissen-kurz nachdem wir uns eine Flasche Wein bestellt hatten...selbst auf der Terrasse durften wir dann nicht mehr sitzen
Begründung vom Besitzer: er wolle kein 10€ Leute - wir waren mit 7 Leuten da und haben 130€ bezahlt....der Abend war im Eimer - nie wieder

Certainly if you're looking for cheap, very plain and simple traditional Portuguese; save your complains and your money and stick with obviously standard looking local restaurants, there's two others in Monte Clerigo alone to chose from. HOWEVER if you are looking for very interesting, very healthy and modern fresh food we found O Sargo a really nice discovery. The dishes were more what you might expect to find in cultural suburbs of Lisbon, Melbourne or Berlin etc. I think the chef's deserve a tip of the hat for putting some original and diverse tastes on the menu. Perhaps it's not the same old same old but very progressive. The Tuna Tataki was delicious. My wife enjoyed the seafood pasta and the ( previously badly reviewed) south east asian style ceviche was also very nice. No complaints here, on the contrary a big thumbs up. Friendly service. Definitely check it out for a healthy, delicious meal post surf or beach time.

I can't understand all the positive reviews of this place.
I went here for lunch and ordered the cerviche with tuna which was completely inedible. The tuna was not fresh and was floating around in a sickly white foul smelling sauce. My girlfriend ordered grilled prawns but was served pre cooked cold prawns which smelled a bit off. Unfortunately later on she felt sick.
I asked for my food to be taken back and was offered a replacement dish (I ordered an average tasting chicken wrap on par with most wraps you can buy in supermarkets). However the final bill included both dishes in the price. We had a rather undignified wrangle with the manager to get the dish taken off the menu.
Really bad experience, yes the location and views are amazing but restaurants should not make this the sole selling point to the detriment of food. The experience ruined our day and as mentioned my girlfriend was also sick as a final parting gift.
Avoid this restaurant.

Very nice location, very nice presentation, but the food was a big disappointment, especially considering the price. Live music was good, but way too loud. Big potential, nevertheless

Em pleno Agosto, sem tempo de espera para arranjar mesa, simpatia de topo e rara pelos sítios por onde passámos nos últimos dias, comida do melhor que provamos nos últimos tempos (especial destaque ao salmão com risotto de cogumelos! Foi eleito o prato da noite) parabéns ao chef e a todo o staff d' O Sargo! Adoramos, vamos voltar para dar volta ao menu!

Nice Location above the beach. Can be chilly outside as only a small part is sheltered against the wind.
Food is good. No questions asked. Prices reasonable, but slightly higher in comparison to other Portuguese restaurants with comparable style and cousin.
Organization needs improvement. Too many staff working. Received the starter only after the mains.
Nice and friendly people though!

Cocina muy bien elaborada con productos locales y una carta aunque reducida, original y distinta a las de la zona. Fuimos dos días a cenar y nos gustaron todos los platos sobre todo el tardar de atún y el wok de verduras. Nos gustó mucho también los dos tipos de sangría blanca. El personal amable y atento.

Een mooie locatie om te zitten. Ze hebben duidelijk hun best gedaan op de aankleding en zijn prachtig aan zee gelegen. Het eten is buitengewoon goed. Ook de cocktails en wijnen zijn aan te raden. Erg vriendelijke bediening en schone toiletten.

Great new spot with the best view, amazing menu & impeccable decor & style. Service could be improved but as they just opened its & were super busy it's understandable.
