Nice hotel near to the beach and close to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast is rather basic but staff are very helpful when needing assistance. Booked a outing to Zoomarine through the hotel which gave a discount
Pool was lovely but it's very cold. Room was basic and the socket to charge your device isn't in a convenient place. Fridge in room useful and prices are reasonable for any drink on offer

Hotel com localização privilegiada, a 5 minutos a pé da Praia dos Três Castelos, onde não podem deixar de visitar o Branquinho, e a pouco mais da zona de lojas e bares da Praia da Rocha.

Ich war Anfang April für 10 Tage in diesem Hotel. Es ist ein sehr einfaches Hotel, das auch schon ein wenig verwohnt ist. Da ich lediglich einen Platz zum Übernachten gebraucht hatte, war es für mich ok. Ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer zur alleinigen Nutzung, ansonsten wäre es wohl etwas eng gewesen. Die 3 Sterne sind sicherlich nicht mehr wirklich gerechtfertigt und meinen hauptsächlichen Urlaub möchte ich dort nicht gerne verbringen. Das Frühstück ist sehr schlicht und bietet keine Abwechslung, es reicht lediglich für den ersten Kaffee und ein erstes Brötchen. Da es aber in der Nähe eine große Auswahl an Cafeterias und Candelarias gibt, kann man dort auch sehr gut frühstücken. Der wirkliche Vorteil dieses Hotels ist seine ruhige Lage am Ende der Promenade. Nach links geht es in das lebhafte Praia da Rocha voller Hochhäuser und nach rechts geht es zum deutlich ruhigeren Praia do Vau. Also nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

Nao recomendo, a limpeza do quarto praticamente nao existe, pequeno almoço muito muito fraquinho, leite intragável, yogurtes nem vê-los, com tanta laranja não tem uma máquina para sumo natural e funcionários pouco simpáticos na despedida nem um gostaram nos perguntaram, como disse não recomendo e voltar a este hotel nem pensar.

The staff here are lovely and willing to help as much as they can. Breakfast is available for all guests every morning, ranging from cereals, hams, cheeses and breads, bacon and eggs, coffee teas and juices. Pools are lovely and relaxing. The beds could be comfier but a quiet hotel to stay in. Lovely location right in front of the beach, and just beside a main road so taxis are handy to get. Dinner food is very good and loads of options. Only thing I would change is the room decor and invest in new air conditioners. Bathroom and bedroom very clean on arrival

Great location, on the beach. Nice pool. Assortment of food for breakfast. Wifi in hotel lobby but once connected we could use it in our room. We were on the first floor. Told wifi was only available in lobby, pool, breakfast area. Could upscale their shampoo packages. Fridge in room. Very small, old tv but we were not there to watch tv. Smell from bathroom when we first arrived but comes and goes with the tide and is a city problem, smelled it in other places as well. We either got used to it or were in our hotel when the tide was right because only smelled it a few times during our stay.

Return visit to hotel, we had stayed there several years ago. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Had read previous reviews that money had been stolen from safe with no lock, this is easily resolved as lock can be hired for safe for 1 Euro daily with 15 euro returnable deposit.Hotel room comfortable, decent sized fridge in the room. Air con in rooms which we needed even in Oct as temperature hitting 30c. Bathroom had powerful shower over bath, no plug for bath.Extra pillows available from reception on request.Great location. We opted for a sea view would definitely recommend this as rooms at back of the hotel look onto a road. Building work next door which we were not aware of before we came but can honestly say we were not disturbed by the noise.Good WiFi in public areas (also managed to get access from balcony ).Pool area was busy but we managed to get sunbed every day, sunbed cushions need replacing. Breakfast provided cold meats, cheese, nice bread, rolls, pastries with cereals. scrambled eggs and bacon which I don’t usually eat when abroad but it was tasty. Would have liked some boiled eggs and fruit and yoghurt but breakfast was tasty enough.There is a bar next to pool which also provides snacks, we did not use this as we preferred to use the many bars and restaurants nearby but it seemed to be very popular with other guests.

Wir kannten das Hotel von außen, schon von den Jahren zuvor. Die Lage d Hotels ist super. Diesmal brauchten wir für eine Nacht ein Zimmer. Länger würde ich in diesem Hotel nicht bleiben wollen. Das Hotel ist nicht gepflegt und hier wird anscheinend seit Jahren nichts mehr gemacht. Das Frühstück ist ein Witz. Einzig der Ausblick vom Balkon ist 5 Sterne wert. Alles andere erhält in meinen Augen keinen Stern. Gibt definitiv bessere Hotels/ Unterkünfte in Praia da Rocha.

Visited for the WSBK racing and stayed a week this year. Staff very friendly. Good bar and snacks menu. Outside pool lovely and surrounding area. Ideally located for beach/shops/restaurants and bars which are all easily accessible through back gate of hotel.

O hotel até nem é mau. O que me espanta é os javalis logo de manhã ocuparem as cadeiras da piscina durante o dia todo. Se quiseres uma cadeira tens de te levantar as 6 da manhã ou as 5 horas. O pequeno almoço não tem fruta. Os javalis estragam mais do que comem.

Boa localização, perto da praia e restaurantes e boa piscina, contudo tem muitas coisas que deixam muito a desejar, nomeadamente: espaço e quartos degradados, limpeza e manutenção muito fracas - numa semana só mudaram as toalhas uma vez e foi porque pedimos e mesmo assim reclamaram, os lençóis e fronhas não foram mudados; o ar condicionado é velho e os filtros não estão limpos; o frigorífico faz muito barulho e tivemos que o desligar durante as noites. O pequeno almoço é muito pouco variado, não tem fruta ou iogurtes...

Hotel obsoleto. Necesita reformas urgentes. Los colchones esfondados; el baño, sin reformar desde la propia inauguración del hotel; el calentador, insuficiente para una habitación doble; la televisión pequeña, obsoleta, solo se visualizan 9 canales y, algunos de ellos con neblina; el aire acondicionado no enfría lo suficiente. El bufet-desayuno que ofrecen es un chiste, apenas bacon y huevos (que unicamente los ingleses son capaces de digerir), queso, fiambre, mantequilla y mermelada. El pan seco y el café de máquina. No ofrecen nada de fruta ni lácteos. Como anécdota, diré que es el único hotel en el que he visto que los propios huéspedes llevan su propia comida para desayunar.
Dispone de piscina y campo, bien conservados, quizá lo único positivo del hotel, aunque conseguir una hamaca es una odisea. Los huéspedes dejan sus toallas dispuestas en la hamaca sin estar presentes en el recinto -algunos bajan a la playa o suben a las habitaciones- y, aunque lo comuniques en recepción, nada hacen por evitarlo, tan solo unos carteles informativos.
La ubicación del hotel es otro de sus atractivos, con acesso al paseo marítimo, a 1 minuto de la playa Três Castelos y a 5 de Praia da Rocha. Cerca de las inmediaciones hay restaurantes y locales de ocio.

Não muito boa. As informações dadas antes da reserva foram incompletas gerando conflito. O ar condicionado não funcionava e dormimos 2 péssimas noites de forte calor, no 3o. dia colocaram um novo depois de muitas reclamações. Quem for de carro tem que reservar uma das 11 vagas de garagem ou parar na rua se houver vaga.

El hotel se ve bien por fuera en lo que respecta a infraestructura y está muy bien ubicado frente a la playa dos tres castelos, tiene una piscina bastante agradable, sin embargo en cuanto a servicios es realmente pésimo, las camas de la habitación sumamente incómodas, muy mal aseado, encontré pelos de los huespedes anteriores en la bañera y la cortina llena de hongos. Las toallas manchadas, el aire acondicionado muy ruidoso, no tiene secador de pelo. El desayuno no tenía nada de variedad y el café de los peores que he probado en un hotel. Solo le pongo dos estrellas por la ubicación pues en servicio merece una.

Top-Lage, Frühstück so grottenschlecht wie voriges Jahr, Zimmer schmuddelig, Personal an der Rezeption unfreundlich. Hab's noch mal versucht wegen des relativ günstigen Preises. Aber jetzt wirklich: Nie wieder! Gebt lieber ein paar mehr Euros aus und genießt euren Urlaub.

Das Hotel an sich liegt wirklich super... Strand promenade, Strand, Restaurants... bisher haben wir immer gut gegessen, auch das Hotelrestaurant ist gut und freundlich. Im Allgemeinen ist alles vorhanden und für den Leihwagen findet man auch immer einen Platz. Wer die Reinlichkeit liebt sollte ein anderes Hotel wählen. Auch das Frühstück ist sehr einfallslos. Es gibt weder Obst noch Auswahl an Wurst/Käse/Ei/Brötchen. Schade eigentlich. Das Publikum hier ist von jung bis älter ... alles vertreten. Da wohl die meisten zum Strand gehen wirkt das Hotel ruhig. Trotz den negativen Punkten würde ich dank der perfekten Lage wiederkommen.

El hotel es normal, un 3 estrellas. La gente es muy exagerada. Esta en la playa literalmente, la piscina es genial. El único fallo que le veo es la mini nevera del cuarto que hace mucho ruido. No merece la pena sacarse nada de comer del hotel, fuera del hotel se come bien y barato.

Gute Lage ja, aber sehr museumsreife Ausstattung. Nachts leuchtet ein grelle grünes Licht im Zimmer, und es riecht permanent auffällig nach Abwasser. Dreck in den Ecken des Zimmers, und das Frühstücksbuffet hat minimalistische Auswahl, zudem sehr ungemütlich. Ein billiges Hotel, das dementsprechend ist. Ich kann es nicht weiterempfehlen.

Breakfast is poor, not a very wide choice of selection. People were bringing their own fruit and spreads down to breakfast which they had gone out to buy. Coffee machine is always only part way filled with selections.
Room is fine but we asked for a double room and got two single beds pushed together, with separate sheets. Pool is excellent however.

Das Hotel ist zu empfehlen, wenn man ein einfaches und günstiges Hotel sucht! Das Zimmer war sehr einfach aber sauber. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, aber nichts besonderes (jeden Morgen das gleiche, kein Obst oder Gemüse). Die Lage ist hingegen kaum zu überbieten. Man geht über die Straße und ist direkt an einem wunderschönen Strand. Man ist außerdem inmitten netter Restaurants und Bars. Da das Hotel relativ am Ende der Straße ist, ist es nachts trotzdem sehr ruhig und an hört überhaupt nichts. Auch der Pool ist völlig ausreichend, wenn man ihn überhaupt nutzt und nicht direkt ein paar Meter weiter an den Strand geht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!

отель Луар 3* город Портимао (Алгарве) и очень быстро заселились. Номер с боковым видом на океан и бассейн на 2 этаже. Номер просторный,старенький,но все работает и чистое. Терраса большая. Удобные кровати.Кондиционер. Ванная и туалет большие. Завтрак по системе шведский стол однообразный каждый день. Голодными не оставались. Кофе несколько видов из кофеаппарата очень вкусный на удивление. Молоко,чай, мюсли,соки 2 вида. Разные сорта хлеба,бекон жареные и омлет . Нарезка из сыра и ветчина.Тостер для хлеба. Из фруктов только вкусные яблоки и апельсины. Однообразно конечно,но сойдёт. На рецепции приветливый персонал и сувениры производства Португалия дешевле чем в городе. Во дворе большой бассейн и много лежаков,но мы не пользовались т.е.рядом 100 м океан. Отель на 1 линии от моря,но к нему надо спускаться 66 ступенек вниз и также вверх. Калитка отеля прямо рядом со спуском примерно 100 шагов. Отель очень удачно расположен почти в конце променада. Нету дороги и кафешек с шумящей толпой. Пляж песчаный местами есть плоские плиты из камней в воде,но в отлив их видно и мы там не купались. Пляжи все бесплатные можно располонаться где удобно. Есть кусочки с платными лежаками. Передевалок не видели,но мы ходили в купальниках так как близко. Если стоять лицом к океану,то справа в самом конце самый красивый пляж он в тупике. Мы ходили туда по пути собирая ракушки. Если пройти на лево в сторону маяка то тоже отличный песчаный пляж. Океан холодноватый примерно 18 градусов и не больше. К температуре быстро привыкаешь.Волны всегда достаточно большие. На некоторых участках есть спасатели.
Что касаемо самого городка Портимао. Очень маленький и уютный. Хорошие приветливые люди в магазинчиках и кафе не липучки! Старый город очень маленький и ничего особенного обошли за пол часа. Вся основная жизнь кипит вдоль променада.

El hotel no es para nada lujoso pero le doy 5 estrellas por qué cuando entras en sus habitaciones te sumerges en un encantador aire estilo años 60 y es como si regresases a los años 60 por su suelo y su decoración, además de su agradable terraza, en cuanto a su piscina parece fenomenal amplia y con una cafetería con una agradable terraza y con un personal muy amable y educado bravo un 10.

A beautiful location, by a stunning coastline. The Luar is affordable and pristine. The rooms are serviced every day and the staff are polite, helpful and professional.
A holiday here is a wonderful experience.
There areas enough shops and restaurants to cater for your tastes and they are within a two minute stroll from the hotel.
I would certainly return.

Das Einzige, was uns absolut gefallen hat, war die Lage des Hotels.
Das Hotel selbst ist absolut in die Jahre gekommen. Alte und teilweise kaputte Einrichtung. Das Frühstück war auch sehr lieblos gestaltet und eintönig - in südländischen Staaten wird zwar nicht so ausgiebig gefrühstückt, wie bei uns im Norden aber liebevoller kann man es dennoch gestalten.
Es gab einen Pool mit sehr alten und dreckigen Liegen. Eine Bar war dort ebenfalls. Man konnte sich Getränke und Speisen aber nicht auf das Zimmer schreiben lassen, sondern musste immer direkt bezahlen.
Die Mitarbeiter waren zwar höflich,aber wirkten eher genervt und nicht besonders gut gelaunt.
Es ist im ganzen Hotel sehr hellhörig - wir konnten das TV Programm der Nachbarn hören. Hatten ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite , was bei der Lage an der Hauptstraße eine Katastrophe war.
Wir haben schon in wesentlich besseren 3-Sterne Hotels übernachtet und haben uns nicht besonders gut betreut und aufgehoben gefühlt. Sehr schade, aber wir würden das Hotel nicht wieder buchen.

You get what you pay for - the upsides, the pool and pool bar both great, plenty of hot water for the showers, some free toiletries in the bathroom and a hairdryer, they make your room up almost daily, the OK stuff now room is adequate, a bit on the small side and not really enough storage (but we don't travel light!) breakfast was a little better than expected from reading the reviews here, I really liked the coffee but there is a limited choice, we were unlucky to be at the front of the hotel in a noisy room but we are used to quiet, the patio doors do not lock either which on the 5th floor would be a concern if you have children, on the reception front I would say they are a little standoffish not the usual warm welcome we've come to expect but nothing worse than you would get in the UK - when all is said and done it is a 3 star hotel charging 3 star prices - it is superior to some 3 stars we have stayed in.

Wo soll ich anfangen, beim schrecklichen Frühstück, bei der nicht vorhandenen Sauberkeit, bei der baulich bedingten Schallübertragung aus dem Fluren und Nebenzimmern oder bei dem stark abgewohnten Inventar? Selbst im Treppenhaus, dort also, wo der Chef beziehungsweise die Chefin vorbei geht, befinden sich alte Spinnweben und alte Ansammlungen von toten Fliegen. Es stört also niemanden. Daher werde ich dort nicht mehr buchen.

Die Lage verdient 10 Punkte. Mehr Positives gibt es nicht zu berichten. Sauberkeit ist hier ein Fremdwort. Es ist ein abgewohntes Hotel, dessen beste Jahre Jahrzehnte zurück liegen. Das Management presst vermutlich mit maximaler Renditeerwartung das Hotel aus. Dies ist erkennbar an dem unsauberen Zimmer (in 4 Tagen wurde einmal gewischt) und dem übel riechenden permanenten unangenehmen Geruch. Das Frühstück besteht u. a. aus lauwarmem Kaffee aus dem Automat, Pressschinken und Marmelade. FAZIT: Das Hotel kann man Freunden nicht empfehlen.

Hotel extremamente deficitário no atendimento. O diretor do Hotel , não dialoga com os Cientes . Dado ser cliente que vou duas a três vezes por ano para este Hotel , tentei obter preço para estadia em Setembro, foi-me proposto um preço superior ao do Booking. Referi por diversas vezes que era cliente habitual e que não era admissível um preço para a estadia, superior ao do Booking, visto não terem de pagar comissões ao mesmo, se a reserva fosse feita diretamente , repeti, por se tratar de um cliente habitual. Todo o argumento apresentado foi em vão. Este Hotel já teve pessoal com algum nível de atendimento e estranho esta postura de um responsável pelo Hotel, e de um seu colega da recepção . Questionou-me , será que não estão preparados para o efeito , ou seja, não querem vender os quatros disponíveis. Em relação ao Hotel está bem localizado, e está em remodelação para melhor, tem preços dentro da média e está perto da praia. Lamento mais uma vez o atendimento na recepção, espero que não esteja em auto-gestão e por esse facto dou duas estrelas.

Mais de 100 euros por noite é abusivo para a qualidade do hotel e do pequeno-almoço que proporciona. As camas são confortáveis assim como as almofadas, ao contrário do que se vê a mencionar. Hotel essencialmente para famílias, não recomendo para casais nem para grupos de amigos. Muita confusão com bebés e crianças tanto no hotel como na piscina. O que é perfeitamente natural em hotéis familiares. A limpeza esteve top. Nada a apontar. Dormi sempre como um anjo.

En general fue muy decepcionante ya que cogimos este hotel para visitar las cuevas de Benagil de lo que se encargaron ellos... Tras haber confirmado una hora para la visita cuando llegamos al hotel nos dijeron que se habían equivocado, que nos cambiaban la hora o no podríamos hacer la visita... Tuvimos que aceptar y nos ofrecieron dejar las habitaciones al día siguiente a las 14 horas. Al día siguiente nos hicieron dejar las habitaciones a las 12 porque no se lo habían comunicado a la persona que se encontraba en recepción... Un desastre... No volveremos...

There was a disgusting smell coming from the bathroom; they never changed my bed sheets; the breakfast was cold and not tasty at all. The only thing good about the hotel was the restaurant and the bar. The outside of the hotel is very deceiving. This hotel is only good for a one night stay nothing more.

Exterior is really nice but rooms are disgusting. Fridge is filthy. Old bath mats. Disgusting smell that comes from the bathroom...continuously having to spray expensive perfume to get rid of it. Hotel needs a serious refurbishment, everything is old and out of date. Breakfast was nasty and basic; no variety, watery scrambled eggs, toaster grill that doesn’t rotate, cold bacon. Only thing nice was the tropical juice, bar and pool. Sorry to say but avoid at all cost.

Estuvimos a gusto en el hotel. Tiene un gran parking gratuito frente y otro de pago al lado (de Junio a Septiembre). El hotel tiene piscina y ofrece desayuno buffet variado. También dispone de un bar aunque es un poco caro.
La calidad de las habitaciones es adecuado al 3 estrellas.
Desde el hotel se sale directamente al paseo de la playa y se puede ir andando a la zona de ambiente

Гостиница понравилась. Место супер. Снял бал за то, что доплатив за номер с видом на океан, получили вид на недостроеное бетонное здание и стройку, где солнце бывает только вечером. После нашей жалобы, нам дали отличный номер на солнечной стороне с видом на сад и океан. Спасибо администратору который дежурил в тот вечер за отзывчивость! Но боюсь другим недовольным своим номером, так не повезло.

It's not for the English. I've got a bigger toaster at home and everything at breakfast is the cheap stuff!
The rooms are clean but the fridge and air conditioning are very noisy.
There is also a large dog that barks all night on the strip side of the hotel.
The only plus point is the pool

Hotel was OK. Reception not customer focused. Very disappointed and frustrated on last day of holiday. We had to be out of room by 12 and not leaving hotel until 4pm. When we asked about room to take shower to refresh before we leave was informed that the only place was the 'general pool toilets' that had 2 showers. When we went to use them 1 didn't work at all and another just about dripped through. When we went back to reception and explained, once they found time to communicate with us, we were informed again that they were they only ones and they didn't know that they were not working.
This left a bad memory for us after having a good holiday break. Not to sure I would book again.

En dan de slechte punten: het ontbijt is echt armoedig (weinig keus, oud brood, lauwwarme melk), schoonmaak wordt met de Franse slag gedaan en op sommige plekken echt verouderd. Goed hotel voor deze prijs. Kamers waren schoon. Elke dag schone handdoeken. Koelkastje op de kamer, dat snachts wel veel herrie maakte. Hotel direct aan het prachtige strand. Dichtbij winkels en restaurants. Ontbijt vond ik echt niet goed. Heel erg simpel en te weinig keus. Als ik nog eens zou gaan, dan zonder het ontbijt. En nog 1 minpuntje, er was in het hotel niks te doen. Erg stil en ongezellig. Gelukkig was er buiten genoeg te doen.

Gezellig hotel, pal aan zee, restaurantjes vlakbij, mooie wandelboulevard, prachtig strand, fijn zwembad, zeer vriendelijk personeel, centraal gelegen om van daaruit diverse uitstapjes te maken.Eenvoudige kamers maar met veel kastruimte en airco en minibar en kluis.. Eenvoudig maar top!.En op een prachtige locatie !
Ontbijt mag wat gevarieerder zijn.Maar prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is goed.

Tired, a bit dirty and cheap feeling hotel, not what we were expecting. Breakfast was disappointing. No Wi-Fi in rooms. Towels and bedsheets had marks on them. Floor under the beds were dirty, toilet seat loose, toilet door wouldn't close, noisy fridge, friends room had ants. Location is good though, outside a lovely beach and plenty of shops bars and restaurants.

Belle piscine.plage juste en bas il faut descendre des escaliers mais ca vaut le coup.accueil acceptable.parlé peu français mais on se débrouille.juste une chose par rapport aux chambres le ménage est fait à la va vite (voir sous le lit!)le balai n'est pratiquement pas passé il faudrait faire un effort même si on n'y est presque pas.je reviendrai au portugal les gens sont accueillant.

Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel, wer nach einem Hotelurlaub sucht ist hier jedoch Falsch. Die Poolanlage ist ganz nett, die Liegen und Schirme könnten jedoch mal erneuert werden. Aber das ist für eins zwei Tage am Pool okay, besser ist jedoch das sehr nahe Meer, das aber ohne Umweg nur mit vielen Steilen Stufen erreicht werde kann, aber in höchstens 2 Minuten ist man da und der Strand ist wirklich schön! Die Zimmer scheinen sauber, hat in unseren Fall aber kein Fön oder Fernseher. Kurz: Super Lage, gutes Hotel! Ich würde Noch einmal kommen :)

Very nice hotel. Close to all the amenities. Beautiful beaches within 5 minutes walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Only downside they could do with more variety for breakfast menu . Could do with evening entertainment but we did go in October.

Sucio y desastroso. Antes de alojarse aquí, recomiendo dormir en el coche. Está sucio no, ASQUEROSO. No se si pueden publicar las fotos. La cortina del baňo y toallas sucias. El agua de la ducha amarilla y cuando acudes a recepción te dicen que las habitaciones buenas ya están ocupadas. Penoso.Las fotos no reflejan la realidad actual de las habitaciones, al menos no la de la nuestra. Lo único aceptable fue la piscina y el desayuno tampoco estuvo mal.

Hôtel vieillot mais à un prix raisonnable, avec une équipe de réception qui aide beaucoup à organiser le séjour, une grande piscine déserte, un snack pour boire de bons cocktails et surtout très très bien situé pour la plage et les commerces. Seul point vraiment négatif : le petit déjeuner atroce.

Hotel Luar arata bine la exterior, este situat pe faleza si aproape de centrul statiunii. Interiorul lasa de dorit, camerele sunt mici si austere, mobilierul vechi si urat.
Micul dejun este cel mai slab dintre toate locatiile pe unde am fost. Hotelul merita cu indulgenta 2 stele !
Singura zona ok este piscina.

El peor hotel que he estado. Suciedad en ducha y sábanas, y si te quieres duchar hay muchas posibilidades de que no puedas porque se estropea la ducha cada día. El aire acondicionado no enfría es un simple ventilador. Lo peor es que no tienen intención de mejorar este hotel, cada año será peor hasta que no haya nadie que vaya y lo cerrarán. La TV es de chiste, sin canales y de las primeras en color que existieron. Sin hablar del desayuno que es de risa, alimentos duros, lo que debe estar frío está caliente y viceversa. Merece la pena ir a cualquier otro lugar antes de alojarse aquí.

Passei 6 noites neste hotel, tem os seus prós e contras, sendo que os prós, para mim só a localização e a piscina. De resto os contras, quartos velhos, wc com cortina do banho cheia de bolor, colchões de molas velhos para acordar pior do que quando se deitou, frigorífico ruidoso que chegue para embalar no sono, e por fim uma coisa que me desiludiu muito, pequeno almoço limitado a pão, cereais, ovos mechidos, café, leite água e sumo ok. Mas faltava uns bolos, uma fruta, qualquer coisa diferente. Não voltarei...

The fridge in the room was very noisy. The breakfast is horrible. The rooms are not clean. The place is very loud. If you need WIFI in the room you have to pay. The only free WIFI is the front desk but it's very slow. The whole place looks run down.

After being in big cities the previous 8 nights, it was nice to have a hotel where there was outside parking along the street with plenty of room for the van we were driving. This hotel has great views of the beach from hotel rooms. There is a nice pool area for kids to relax and play after a few hours at the beach, after waking up in the morning, and before going to bed. Proximity to beach a bonus, a 5 min walk to stairs that take you down to beach area. Breakfast was the typical European style, it was enough to fill us up for the days activities.

Checked in for a one night stay. The bar and pool are awesome. Well looked after and reasonable prices for most items. The beds are a joke. Dont even try to move on them or youll wake your neighbours up. The hotel is in a great location though which makes this one night stay tolerable. I would probably stay here again if I could transport mattress covers from Canada to Portugal.

Hotel is a bit dated but has all the essentials and offers a good breakfast but with a comparatively limited choice of foods. It is right on the beach and close to shops and bars etc. The rooms facing inland overlook a busy road and are are bit noisy as a result - but the views are really great all round.

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und sollte dringend renoviert werden! Die Matratze war so durchgelegen das ein angenehmes schlafen unmöglich war.
Das Frühstück war lieblos hergerichtet und schmeckte auch dementsprechend.
Positiv war die Lage des Hotels... Ich würd allerdings nicht noch einmal in dieses Hotel gehen.

Short break stay in lively resort over Easter weekend. Good value price for clean basic hotel in great location. Due refurbishment but had everything required along with free sea view from balcony. Nice staff on reception and bar plus good cleaners. Fab pool and gardens. Didnt bother going for breakfast so cannot comment. Overall - we would return for a short break

Balkon heeft uitzicht op zee. Tuin met zwembad uit en je loopt linksom naar strand, winkeltjes en restaurants, of rechtsom via pad langs strand in de hoogte. Trappen af om aan het strand Praia da Rocha te komen. Hotel heeft lift, personeel die de talen spreekt. Jammer dat de tv naast het bed staat, want mijn ogen kunnen niet om een hoekje kijken. Ligging is aan het strand. Centrum Porti Mao is verder weg.

Samo miejsce jest ok. Własny basen i blisko do oceanu. Hotel jak za PRL-U. Internet tylko w holu głównym o małej prędkości. W pokoju z boku hotelu, od strony ulicy, nie da się spać przy otwartym oknie bo duży hałas od przejeżdżających samochodów. Szafa bez półek, tylko wieszaki i dwie szuflady. Telewizor 14" kineskopowy, 8 programów. Łazienka z wanną. Obsługa hotelowa jest OK. Na śniadanie codziennie to samo: jajecznica, bekon, szynka kons. i żółty ser. Obiadokolacja w restauracji poza hotelem.

Very nice place, great value for money. Good Wi-Fi available in the lobby. Continental breakfast is really nice. Air conditioner in the room which is ace.
Nicely maintained pool area - only problem (not limited to Luar) are the inconsiderate guests who place towels on lounges first thing and sod off all day. Literally 5 minutes walk from the beach - just across the road and down some steps. On the main strip too so lots of restaurants, bars and shops are only minutes away.
I would recommend this place wholeheartedly!

Olá boa noite venho desde já agradecer a D.Aduzinda e a todos os Funcionários do Hotel Luar sem exceção de ninguém em meu nome António Lobreiro e Helena Martins pela vossa atenção como sempre tem sido de todas as vezes que aí vamos passar uns dias de descanso seja no verão ou noutra época só um aparte talvez fosse bom fazer algumas alterações nos quartos por exemplo o frigorífico que faz bastante barulho o ar condicionado também e se possível no pequeno almoço fazer algumas alterações tais como colocar fruta e alguns yogurtes apesar de actualmente o pequeno almoço ser bom mas com estas pequenas alterações ficaria soberbo até uma próxima comprimentos a todos 16/08/2016

I wanted to be near my family (they were based on the 2nd floor 230, 231, 235) and asked the reception staff if they could accommodate me. The answer was a resounding No. They couldn't have put me further away from them (5th Floor, 513). I know it was a busy time at the hotel but it was disappointing and the reception staff need to improve their interpersonal skills. For the money I paid for the room €288 for three nights (just myself), and thought they would understand the importance of being with my family may have swayed them to do a bit better but it was very disappointing. We were all gutted and I know it sounds a bit dramatic, but I felt very alone.
I think there needs to be more sunbeds at the pool area, don't get me wrong there are plenty but they could do with some more. They run out quite quickly.
The beach is magnificent but there is very steep steps down to it but worth a visit every day. The location of this hotel is fantastic.

Podría hablar de lo viejo y roñoso que está todo, de los veinte minutos de cola que hay que hacer para servirte un supuesto café en la única máquina de la sala de desayuno, de los peligrosos bordes de azulejos resbaladizos de la piscina, de lo mal que se ve la tele, de la cutrez de que sólo haya WiFi en el hall... Pero lo que me mató definitivamente y que no había visto en ningún otro hotel es que no cambien las toallas todos los días, sino alternos. Cutre a más no poder. Lo único bueno su ubicación, pero eso tampoco es mérito suyo.

We have been here 5 times soon to be 6, the location is superb, out the back gate and it's literally a few steps away from the beach, the hotel has a lovely swimmjng pool and also has one for the kids, the staff are lovely especially Rosa, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is the usual continental, we can not wait to go back in a few weeks.

Gosto muito de passar uns dias neste Hotel,especialmente no peíodo entre Março e Junho,porque me permite aproveitar de belas praias.O ambiente é muito tranquilo.Os empregados deste Hotel são muito simpáticos e as instalações são agradáveis e muito limpas.Para quem gosta de mais divertimentos também dispõe de muitas ofertas,muito perto.O pequeno-almoço no Hotel é muito bom.

Even though it may be a bit dated, it's a nice hotel with a good swimming pool and ample grass garden area to rest. It's near a very beautiful beach, not very crowded. Very simple breakfast.
We enjoyed our one week stay very much.

Zeer vriendelijke receptie.
Goed ontbijtbuffet.
Het restaurant was niet open voor diner, maar met de restaurantjes in de nabijheid was dat geen probleem.

I was very impressed with the Hotel Luar. It was in an excellent location and spotlessly clean. A good range of breakfasts served, staff friendly and helpful, it was also good value for money. If I have to think of disadvantages, one would be there were no tea/coffee making facilities in room but you could get tea and coffee in hotel bar. there wasnt a hair dryer in room which may have bothered some people.
hotel was close to a number of bars and restaurants and taxis/buses to Portimao and Alvor very reasonable,(5 euro to alvor in taxi)

o hotel é muito acolhedor desde a simpatia dos recepcionistas ao bar , restaurante e o hall é muito alegre.desde a decoraçao e as cores têm um contraste espectacular é muito amplo.a vista para o mar é espectacular ouvir o mar.adorei a privacidade de se poder pôr o carro na garageme a confiança dos respectivos empregados, qualquer dúvida estão no quarto em segundos.

El trato en recepción, sobre todo los días que estuvo una señora madura, fue exquisito y muy cordial. No nos ponían en el cuarto de baño gel ni champú
