Can get very busy so make sure to get a reservation. Hostess was very accommodating for a large party. Waitress was very helpful in wine and food selections. Food is smaller tapas style, mostly vegetable dishes, and modern, and very tasty.

An absolutely delish meal here at Prado! A beautiful light and bright space with the perfect mix of industrial and modern. Also love all the greenery!
Prado is such a nice modern eatery to have in Lisbon, the food was great and fresh and the drinks were really lovely too! Also very friendly staff!

Really great, small-dish style,casual venue with staff who had no hesitation (or pretension) about recommending dishes and matching wines.
Am not a fan of orange wine at all, but that and the balance of the recommendations (by the glass) was superb. Had the hilarious misfortune to be placed next to a food critic (blogger) and her partner. And all I can say is, with the greatest of respect, it was like watching sausages being made.

Our first lunch in Lisbon and it couldn't have been better! A bit of gourmet style food sans the restrictions. The chef's creativity was just flawless! The concept was refreshing and I must say, it was definitely worth the visit!

First, must thank everyone who served us for the exceptional service and attention to detail. It's the little things that count most. And refreshing to see this level of service not seen in many places in Lisbon and Portugal. Congratulations and wonderful to see the level of expertise and great care from well trained staff to passing on a wonderful experience for your guests. Now the quality of food was awesome, wonderfully done and theme of " farm to table " approach and the artisan bread from Gleba to the coffee from Fabrica ( local Portuguese Roasters). A must to have dinner at, level of service and the " going above and beyond " not seen often in Portugal. We will surely recommend to all! Thank you for the wonderful experience. We will be back! Best.

Great service, delicious food, beautiful interior. Reservations are easy to make through their website. The dishes are small so an average person eats about 2-3 of them. The prices range from 11-25 per plate, but are very worth it. The wine list is extensive and the wait staff is very knowledgeable about pairing them. Coffee is surprisingly good here too.

One of Baixa’s newest dining destinations, Prado is injecting new life into this traditional, calçada-lined neighborhood. Ferns and ivy dangle from the rafters, and the cavernous space—a former conserves factory—is flooded with natural light, making it feel like a terrarium. The setting is fitting for the food: fresh, organic, and heavy on produce. This is where your niche knowledge of obscure seaweed can really shine; as in, the menu can take a little decoding to figure out exactly what's what. Regardless, each dish is cooked perfectly; even something as simple as smoked Iberico pork lardo on toast with florina apple can steal the show. But don’t let that stop you from moving onto the black scabbard with nasturtium flowers and heritage radish. (Just go with it.)

Went to Prado with two friends of mine. We ordered one of everything. It is so refreshing seeing Lisbon do this kind of food. Portugues food is so good but tends to always be done in the same way. It is wonderful finding a place that balances style and quality so well without being stuffy or stuck-up.
I would almost say it was slightly overpriced, but the restaurant itself, how nice the staff were and how good the food was makes it totally worth it. I love this place and will be coming back. Good for groups also for a date. Go there and eat!

Some interesting dishes like the heart of cabbage w/whey, and Minhota stew while others verge on bland and... tiny... Staff are friendly and attentive. The space itself is nice, albeit the "airspace" we're all used to by now. May or may not return.

They advise you to take 2 plates by people and that’s enough with the dessert on top at the end.
Everything is really good. New wave of Portuguese terroir.

All the ingredients are Portuguese and all speak for themselves, specially the meat, while it waits in the kitchen shelves as premium quality prime materials for the chemistry that will follow. The service is kind and plenty for the demand and to put it all together the architecture and decor makes a perfect blend between Portuguese and classy, classic Chicago old school interior, with good music.

“Prado celebrates the best of Portugal has to offer, from sea to land” their mission sums up my experience at the restaurant.
The food:
Favorite-Pork Presa, Red Mullet.
Cockles, nice blend of creaminess of the sauce and chard.
Cabbage, simple, satisfying veggie dish that bring a meat fulfilling experience. Cabbage + sunflower seeds was a winning cooperation. Mackerel, parsley purée and the fish, nothing too wow about it.
Wild Mushroom, the egg yolk coats a different experience to the fungus, appreciating the natural taste of the mushrooms.
Red Mullet, liver & broccoli: excellent execution of the fish, flavor blend is very balanced, you do taste the liver, not too powerful to overthrown the fish, small portion.
Pork Presa, Medium rare, texture tastes like filet mignon, pieces of pig ears drizzles on top added more gelatin thickness to it.
Beef tongue, very buttery, smoked and seared on the outside to lock the juiciness of the protein, the greens were a bit strong to me.
The dessert: Mushroom Ice-cream, you do taste the mushroom in the ice cream, the sweetness of the caramel is on point, not too overwhelming
The service: Staff was knowledgeable about the dishes, was able to paint the picture of how dishes would be delivered, gives detailed explanations about local ingredients. Good awareness of table touching, awareness of changing plates. When ordering, they recommend “2,3 dishes per person to share”, order according to your need.
The Somm: listens, interpersonal, knowledgeable, not pushy.
PS: The bread was priced, they charge for additional Bread, would expect a more extraordinary quality for paid bread.

Impresionante. El servicio extra-atento y con conocimientos de cocina que hacían explicar los platos perfectamente. Nos recomendaron muy bien y la experiencia fue magnífica. La cocina es espectacular. Todos los platos tienen un “twist” que los hacen muy completos y sabrosos. Las raciones son de tapa y necesitas dos o tres para quedarte satisfecho. Los platillos de pescado fabulosos. Un acierto total.

Very strange menu, almost nothing to eat. Lucky me I haven’t ordered squid for 14 euros. When my friend received it I have tried a bit and I wasn’t not very good. Very small portions.

Un sitio que parece estar de moda en Lisboa con comida muy buena pero en cantidades algo ridículas que hace que sea caro. Picamos unos entrantes buenísimos de tostas con tocino fundido y pan con mantequilla de algas y otra de ajos y cebolla caramelizada. Sorprendente. Probamos unos cogollos riquísimos y unas setas con mojo rojo algo escasas. El helado de champiñones, espectacular. Vino muy rico.

Tres tres tres déçu! A part la deco qui était top tout le reste est vraiment très décevant en vu du prix de la note à la fin. Lorsque vous arrivez aucun sourire de la part des serveurs à croire que notre présence les derange. On vous impose deux cocktails aux choix dès l'arrivée avec aucun grand intérêt. Concernant les plats nous avons fait le choix d'en prendre 8 à partager et seulement 2 étaient délicieux. Nous avons tout de même voulu terminer par 1 dessert mais la encore grosse deception; nous avons eu les avis de d'autres tables qui nous entouraient et nous étions tous d'accord c'est du gros n'importe quoi.
Je vous le déconseille vous perdriez votre temps et votre argent.

Têm excelentes amostras de pratos com bons sabores, mas não se pode chamar de ir jantar. Onde já se viu pagar amostras de pratos que nem guarnição têm? Acho que poderiam reformular o conceito. Colocavam na mesma o pratos que existem e chamavam "para picar" e picava quem pretendia. Quanto aos pratos deveriam ser criadas mais variedades de legumes e criação de guarnições saudáveis, aumentando a porções. As sobremesas devem ser todas repensadas, não me surpreenderam em nada. Boaaa sorte! Local que ficou conhecido mas não irei certamente voltar.

Ambiente: a little nordic coolness imitating .
Service: from nice to very poor. A number of service personell who might not know, what to do and how to serve guests. The lady with wine recommendations was the best. Others were a little arrogant. Talks with memorized text. Not really interested in guests. The food was unfortunately not prepared for both at the same time. One had to wait a long time. Staff and kitchen were not organized. Our friendly demand was answered very rude.
Food: Fish tapas very nice and tasty. Cucumber tapas very nice.
Beef tapa was not edible. "Shoe Sole like" - We had to return it.
Was not charged for the sake of fairness. But no "sorry" or "regrets" from the kitchen....hm.
To sum up - there is room for improvement! High prices - poor experience.

Living locally I heard a lot about this place and booked for my birthday. There were one or two things on the menu that were delicious out of the 9 things we ordered...we really did try. However, we have been told that the menu is different everyday which is an incredible feat for any chef, creatively and logistically, so we will try again!

Before visiting Lisbon we had read some mixed reviews of Prado. We had read that t didn’t live up to expectations and that it was pretentious. This is simply untrue!!!
Our experience at Prado was perfect. We entered into a lovely, cool, well decorated dining room. We were sat immediately and offered water.
After a few minutes we were asked about wine, we had chosen a wine, but we’re offered the service of the sommelier. Our wine (Fossil) was gorgeous. We asked our waitress for recommendations; she asked us some questions before selecting a bespoke selection for us, we ordered them all, even though some of them were out of our comfort zone.
Between two people we had; mushrooms, bread, lado toast, mackerel, hake and pork. Each dish was AMAZING!!! Neither my friend or I had ever experienced food like it!
After our meal we were going to leave and get an ice cream elsewhere, but instead we decided to try the mushroom ice cream and the granita. I am so glad we did. To miss out on those two desserts would have been a sin.
We had the best service ever along with the best food ever!!! We spent €85 between two for all our food and drink. I would happily have paid double!!!
An absolute delight!!!

Forgetable restaurant... The ingredients are of good quality, service has a lot of highs and lows, price is too expensive for what it is, the menu is hardly understandable and the food is simply unbalanced and sometimes scarce. The fish was a sample and could hardly be shared between me and my wife, the ris de veau with shrimp sauce is simply a mistake of unbalanced flavours, the Plumas de Porco was amazing and the ambiance of the whole restaurant quite quiet which to me is a very good thing.
Its one of those places where you'll forget you have been there... Nothing worth mentioning or unforgettable... Spend your money elsewhere!
P.S.- "Lomelo" which you have on your menu is NOT A WORD in the portuguese diccionary, its a word you made-up to sound posh and "molejas" IS NOT the salivary gland of the cow, it's SWEETBREADS!!! Learn something about your cooking!

My wife and I discovered Prado in the Soul of Lisbon book which billed it as the home of Portuguese nouvelle cuisine. This statement was accurate as we found out. The restaurant interior offers a relaxed environment and the attentive service was some of the best we have ever experienced. Combined with the food, it was a remarkable 4 hour dining experience. If you are going to Lisbon, do yourself a favor and put Prado on your itinerary.

Just one catch, the portions are really small. So you will end up taking a few to get filled. That can very easily turn out to be expensive. Be careful for that.

Prado was recommended to me by friends and industry people that I respect. It executes nicely in a striking space.
The dishes are well-designed and -prepared.
The wine list is nicely-curated and the staff are well versed in its offerings.
That being said, it's not set up for dining solo. Those so inclined have other options that may be more appropriate.

Memorable dishes:
- squid (noodle-like! Must get)
- big eye tuna belly (melts in your mouth!)
- sea bream wild rice
- the bread :)

I'll start by saying I've eaten at my share of high-end restaurants and I've never had a bad experience until I went to Prado.
Usually at places like this, the staff is friendly and enthusiastic about their food. Prado's staff is neither. While the restaurant was mostly empty when we sat down on a Wednesday evening, we waited for 20 minutes before someone even noticed we hadn't ordered. That person was the hostess who I'll write about later because she single handedly made this dining experience the worst dining experience in my life. And I'm confident other bad reviews will reference her as a part of their poor review.
When items came out of the kitchen, the waitress would just slide the dish between my wife and I, say the name of the dish, and walk away. Didn't take time to explain what's in the dish or anything. Especially given that the food is a modern interpretation of Portuguese food, maybe they can share some background or the inspiration. Nope - you pay 6-20 Euros per dish to have a waitress serve you like you're picking up an order at McDonald's.
While we're on the subject of food, I have to say the food at Prado is way too expensive for what we got. While their chorizo bread was good, it costs 3 euros and all you get is 2 tiny pieces of toast with 3 thinly sliced pieces of chorizo. The whole thing is no bigger than a Twix mini and if you're on a date or with someone else, you just dropped 6 euros. 10 euros gets you 4 prawns...with nothing else on the plate.
If you do go to Prado, my recommendation is to go right down to the Specials section and order from there because the portions are at least not laughable small.
While the food was overpriced and overhyped, the wait staff skipped customer service training, nothing compares to the hostess.
The couple ahead of us showed up 10 or so minutes after their reservation and decided the best way to welcome them to the restaurant is to point this fact out. My wife and I were walk-ins and the hostess made us feel like we were terrible people for making her take 2 minutes to find us a couple of seats. And while she made it seem like she had to work some magic to seat us, the restaurant was never more than 50% full by the time we left 2 hours later.
With all this, you'd be unsurprised to find out the hostess is also terrible at taking food orders. After we placed our order, her response was, "that's not enough food," gave us a face, and walked away to place our order.
2 hours and 60+ euros later, the best part about the restaurant was leaving.
If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would and I'm inclined to reach out to Conde Nast (which is where my wife heard about them) to tell them they shouldn't be sending people here.

Overrated. Expensive super small plates. The hostess made it seem like she was doing us a favor for allowing us to eat at the place with no reservation even though there were empty seats nearby the entire dinner. Poor service. When our waiter forgot about us the hostess came over to take our order and condescendingly said "you didn't order enough" even though our original waiter said 5 plates was enough. Giving 2 stars because I enjoyed the taste of the meal.

The place has a lovely, refined aesthetic. And the service is excellent (aside from one small misstep when the last dish came when we were ordering dessert — no biggie). There were a couple elements of the experience that we found underwhelming, however.
1) Food: We ordered 7 dishes and all were frankly uninteresting. I appreciate subtle, understated cuisine, where delicate flavors can come through without being overpowered. But that's not what was happening here. We found all the dishes to be relatively bland. I don't mean this to sound catty, but in honesty the bread was the best dish. It comes with two types of butter, one derived of pork fat and one from goat milk. The bread was a warm sourdough and lovely.
2) Wine: I love love love natural wines. The list is all natural, biodynamic, and organic. I had some great interactions with the sommelier, who is very nice and knowledgeable. She gave me three glasses of red, all of which were pretty, medium-bodied, and with decent structure. But they lacked personality. I told the sommelier that I was looking for something with character, but they didn't come through, which was a disappointment. I'd be willing to go back and try again, as they have an extensive wine list.
2) Presentation: I put this last because it's the least significant comment I have. However, the presentation of the dishes is very literal. For example, the pork belly with blueberries is a strip of pork belly with blueberries literally placed in a row on top. Likewise, the flan with hazelnuts has hazelnuts cracked in half, placed in symmetric rows on top of a syrup that is also laid in lengthwise stripes, so that it looks like graph paper. Again, this is not so important, but the presentation lack imagination. I mention this because a restaurant of this quality and calibre can do better.
Altogether, it wasn't the experience we had hoped for or expected given some of the reviews we've read.

Worst restaurant of our stay in lisbon, rude staff who refused to sit us in empty table and slow serving. The portion is super small and only tasted normal, totally not worth the price, 41euro for 3dishes, so overpriced for starter like portion and when we paid they gave us a bunch of coins. Will not recommend anyone to go.

Muy rica la col picante, delicada, intenda... El plato de calabacín estaba bueno, aunque se podía haber trabajado más. El resto de platos, mal. Veníamos atraídos por fotos y críticas positivas, pero no nos gustó. Probamos "el plato favorito del chef", dorada con arroz: era un arroz verde, sin nada, con unos medallones de dorada encima, totalmente crudos...soy fan del sushi pero... no era la idea, nada interesante en este plato. Tampoco nos acabamos el estofado, que incorporaba una salsita verde de un sabor muy raro... El servicio de pan llegó quemado, aunque lo comentamos y tuvieron el gesto de no cobrarlo. Deberían dejar de hacer experimentos extraños sinsentido... una cosa es innovar haciendo que un plato mejore, y otra, es añadir algo por añadir, sin ver qué te estás cargando algo. Una pena.

The atmosphere, service, menu, wine list were all top notch! We had a wonderful lunch - as a family of 3 we ordered 2 dishes each (among these the tuna belly, red mullet and beef stew are highly recommended), shared everything and it was quite enough we didn’t need bread to feel full as some reviews say - depends on your eating habits I guess. The local vino verde sparkling wine suggestion proved to be a success! Highly recommended. (The only point to be improved is the loud and unsoothing music)

I'm sorry to say that we were a little disappointed. We were here for lunch. We were told that 1-2 dishes per person is enough, but I think they forgot to tell us that bread is needed to get full. The food was good a solid 4, but service uneven. Sometimes we had to wait a long time and sometimes the food came directly.
The restaurant seems to have great ambition, but fails mainly in the service. The crew was friendly, but the team needs to sharpen the timing.

Our group of four arrived promptly for our 7:30 pm reservation on a Saturday night and were seated right away.. The food was delicious, our waitress Carlota was fabulous, the two bottles of wine were great. We ordered four glasses of Port to top off a nice evening. As soon as the glasses were placed on the table, the manager came over and informed us we had to leave the table because our two hours were up and they needed the table for the next group. She let us know that this was mentioned in the confirmation email. REALLY? I'm on vacation not at work reading emails. Have the courtesy to tell me when I sit down that I only have two hours. Then I can decide if I wish to stay or to skip your establishment. I did not know I was at McDonald's. At least they only turn up the music volume to suggest I leave. We checked our email and there was no mention of a two hour limit. We ordered food, we ordered wine, we were not loud, we spent money which is what restaurants want. What an amateur move. My suggestion: SKIP THIS PLACE. There are too many good restaurants in Lisbon serving great food. You don't need to spend your time and money at a place where Hospitity is spelled with a small "h". Prado, you are not good enough to have this kind of attitude. This experience ruined a perfectly nice evening.

Das Essen war zwar nicht schlecht, aber man kann es kaum genießen, wenn einem direkt am Anfang gesagt wird, dass der Tisch um 22:00 wieder vergeben ist. Erinnert leider an ein Fast-Food Restaurant mit einer unprofessionellen Managerin und dementsprechend schlechtem Personal. Schade!

Die Qualität des Essens ist sehr gut, aber wir wurden abgefertigt wie in einem Fast-Food-Restaurant.
Wer um 22.30 Uhr noch Tische zur Reservierung anbietet, sollte dann auch damit rechnen, dass Gäste noch etwas zu Essen bestellen und dieses dann nicht runterschlingen möchten.
Wir wurden mit den Hauptgängen regelrecht bombardiert noch während wir die Vorspeise aßen.
Der Service rangiert von freundlich bis arrogant und frech.
Die zwei Sterne gibt es für das gute Essen und den Wein.

Must go!!! One of our favorites. Booked for a late 3 pm lunch. Stunning design, warehouse style with lots of light, plants, and tasteful modern aesthetic. Incredible service and food - modern takes on Portuguese using all organic and local produce. Wines are all natural too - we fell in love with the pet nat - perfection. Don’t miss the bread service...wow. We thought the value was exceptional too.

The quality of the ingredients was great but all the receipts seemed as if some special kick was missing. Loud atmosphere. Really friendly staff, however their super-positivity got to the point of seeming inauthentic. When asked a question of how I liked the food, it didn't feel as if my real opinion was wanted because the server answered regardless of what I said with "It's fantastic right?"
I also feel the meal was overpriced for what was offered. I suppose if you earn a lot of money, it doesn't matter...

Loved the food here! The small organic and local plates paired with unique cocktails really made this place stand out. I espescially loved the cabbage and mushrooms which made vegan for me. Additionally the service here was impeccable and friendly. Our waitress( the Latvian waitress) was enthusiastic and recommended the best dishes. Finally I left my purse here and got as much help as possible from everyone at Prado. Thank you so much! A must visit in Lisbon.

Sadly my experience was not good whatsoever. It was meant to be a celebratory dinner, with my partner who is vegan. As we had been recommended the place by friends, we had great expectations, but I made sure to send an email before, making them aware of my partner’s diet and checking they were definitely able to cater for her. The response was yes, they have a few dishes they can make vegan, no problem. Sadly what they offered were a plate of asparagus simply drenched in oil with a few herbs, then a plate of mushrooms, again drenched in oil and too salty and the final dish was so bland we actually don’t remember what it was. All this for the same price the dish was originally (that’s really unacceptable) and my partner left still very hungry! We had mentioned to the waitress that the food was too salty and she just asked “oh really?” and then there was no further effort to make up for the mess up. I had some fish dishes but none of them were interesting in any way. Finally and most importantly, the ENTIRE restaurant was filled with tourists. There was not one Portuguese diner there, which says it all for us. We live here so even tried speaking in Portuguese, but even the staff spoke English between each other! It is totally overpriced for the unimaginative small dishes and the service is cold at best, bordering on rude. There are plenty of incredible restaurants in town offering innovative and more fairly priced food - filled with Portuguese and tourists alike!!!

Décor sympa et bien placé. La nourriture est très bonne quoiqu’un peu salée pour certain plats. Par contre les portions sont minuscules et très chères. Nous sommes à Lisbonne et ce sont des prix supérieurs à ceux de Londres ou NY. Pour ce prix, je préfère aller dans un étoilé Michelin. Service sympathique mais un peu hautain.

Terrible value for money. The food was tasty (not excellent - salt and fat can make anything taste good), quality and sourcing of ingredients was very good but the portion size was minuscule. Turned out to be a very expensive meal. I am happy to pay for good quality food but this was over the top.

This is a place where they phone you to tell you that you are “allowed” a particular slot, and they expect you to leave by the end of it, as if they are doing some kind of favour to you, the one who pays. It really doesn’t deserve any wait, and you can avoid paying 35€/person for mostly unsavoury food with “sophisticated” descriptions.
Nope, definitely not worth the money.

Eu jantei no Prado na última visita a Lisboa e amei.
Fui com alguns amigos então em vez de escolhermos um só prato, optamos por partilhar vários e achei cada um deles inspirado e delicioso. Gostei especialmente como combinam ingredientes que são aparentemente simples para criarem sabores novos, incríveis e surpreendentes. O pão de trigo e a manteiga..uau! E a sobremesa de cogumelos!
De forma geral o que gostei bastante foi o facto de cada um dos pratos ter um sabor especial, único, e com uma apresentação impecável mas sem nada parecer pretensioso.
A decoração é cool, a localização é óptima, especialmente para quem anda a pé pela cidade e o atendimento é simpático e atencioso. vou voltar de certeza :)

The place is hip looking for sure. However we really didn't like our food. we asked for suggestion salad but here came with cooked eggplant. The fish is yummy but portion is very tiny with that price. I tried the mushroom ice cream which isn't bad at all. But my friend got a sweet potato type of ice cream dessert which is really not tasty at all. It has a weird taste in the middle. I think the flavor is just too experimental for us. But here is the place if you wanna try something not traditional Portuguese flavor.
