Een portugees autoverhuurbedrijf. Auto gehuurd via boeking bij Corendon. Ik had een klasse E auto gehuurd. (duurste klasse) Kreeg een Opel Astra met airco en radio en dat was ook het enige luxe aan de auto. Corendon vermeld op haar website dat het een Citroen Elyssee of gelijkwaardig zou zijn. Kortom ik voel mij gen....id. Nooit meer een fly en go via Corendon. Beter een auto huren via Hertz of een ander gerenommeerd bedrijf. Betaal je misschien wel wat meer maar geen verrassingen over 30 euro per dag eventuele schade afkopen. betaal je dat niet wordt er bij Air Auto 2000 euro gereserveerd op je Creditcard.
Kortom allerlei zaken waar je niet op gerekend hebt.

Mto ruim. Carros mtos usados, sem manutenção e revisão. Tentaram nos dar carro sem estepe, com avarias e com pneus gastos. Limpeza dos carros ruins. Limpador do parabrisa com borracha solta. Não recomendo.

Autovermietung nimmt nachträglich Geld wegen irgendwelchen dingen die angeblich nicht dazu gebucht wurden, jede kleine Verunreinigung wird in Rechnung gestellt und Kundenumgang ist absolut unterirdisch!
Ausser halb der Öffnungszeiten werden Gebühren erhoben.
Lieber buch ich bei Sixt oder Europcar!

Auto war wie bestellt, sauber und ordentlich in Schuss. Abholung hat etwas gedauert, da scheinbar mehrere Flugzeuge gleichzeitig Kunden ausgeschüttet hatten.
Abgabe war etwas hektisch, da Überprüfung usw sofort passierte und wir nicht mal das Kind aus dem Kindersitz genommen hatten. Aber unterm strich hat der Mitarbeiter sein ding gemacht und wir konnten im Anschluss ungestört ausladen und das auto leer räumen.

Appalling customer service. Will stripe you up for 'extra costs left right and centre. Very rude woman who informed me that they are a business when I queried the €25 they wanted to charge us for being slightly under the half tank of petrol we took back. Indignantly my hubby drove to put it in himself and it cost €5.
Also charged €30 for the privilege of being open before 8am to drop off the car - are you being serious!!!!

We have rented from Airauto a couple of times and found them to be fair and efficient.
Their office is within walking distance of Faro airport, if you have light luggage.

We hired a car from here covered in dents and scratches, you check the car before you drive away but it is impossible to see all the damage we returned the car and the guy found a small mark on the front bumber and said it was freshly marked and we had done it but we definitely did not hit the car. He seemed to find it very quickly. He charged us €250 straight onto our credit card. My advise is Do Not Go Near Them!

Het proces om een auto op te halen is zeer zorgvuldig. Met name het samen bekijken van de aanwezige schades is mij zeer goed bevallen. Het shuttlebusje is snel vol. Maar je kunt er vanaf het vliegveld in 5 minuten naar toe lopen. De afstand van de shuttle bus naar het terrein van Airauto is slechts 500 meter. Bij het terugbrengen van de auto wordt er wel zeer precies gekeken naar evt. schades. Het is dus zaak om bij het meenemen van de auto alles goed na te lopen.

Not recommended at all. When returned a car they ask me to pay 50euro for hoovering a sand from car floor. It was just small amount t of sand from beach. That's kind normal when you are on holidays with kids.
I have some time so done it on pertol station for 0.50 euro instead.
The staff was very rude to customers.
Booked by Ryanair Website. Never ever again. Also have been charged 2500 euro deposit. Returned 2 weeks after we delivered a car back.
Nie polecam tej wypożyczalni. Strzeżcie się rodacy! Po oddaniu auta bardzo arogancki personel poinformował mnie iż muszę uiścić 50euro za odkurzenie piasku z dywaników samochodowych. I nie była to ilość piasku potrzebna do budowy zamku. Udałem się na pobliską stacje benzynowe gdzie za 0.50 euro odkurzyłem owe wydmy. Po około 2 tygodniach zwrócono mi kaucję w wysokości 2500Euro. Nie polecam. Zazwyczaj korzystałem z firmy zest I nie miałem problemów tego typu.

Everything was ok till i returned a car.
Car have a sand on a floor (that what usually happen when you are going back from a beach with kids). I have been told that have to pay 50 Euro for cleaning, hoovering a car. We have some time so i went on near by petrol station and do the job for 0.50 Euro. Also they been very aggressive to us and rude. Not recommended at all. Use to hire a cars around a globe and is first time we have this kind of problems to return a car.

Nie polecam tej firmy. Przy oddaniu samochodu zostalem poinformowany przez pania z obslugi ze w samochodzie jest troche piasku i z tego powodu bede musial zaplacic 50 Euro za czyszczenie.
Bylem bardzo zaskoczony tym fakte. Nigdy wczesniej nie spotkala nas podobna sytuacja a wypozyczalismy auta w rozmaitych miejscach.
Z uwagi ze mialem troche czasu pojechalem na pobliska stacje benzymowa i odkuzylem te micro ilosci piasku z dywanikow.
Koszt 0.50 Euro. No ale niesmak pozostal. Obsluga bardzo arogancka.
Nie polecam tej firmy . Zarezerwowalem przez strone Ryanair jak kupowalismy bilety. Jednak bede raczej kozystal ze sprawdzonych firm typu ZEST jak wczesniej.

Wat een malafide organisatie! Bij aankomst op het vliegveld hebben we 1 uur in de volle zon (met een baby van 1 jaar) moeten wachten op het Shuttle busje. Vervolgens nog 2 uur moeten wachten voordat we aan de beurt waren op het bedrijf zelf. Vervolgens twee auto's meegekregen die vol schade zaten. Dit moest in de schemer, omdat het ondertussen al 20 u was, worden gecontroleerd op schades. Na een weekje lekker vakantie te hebben gevierd hebben we de auto's weer ingeleverd, we dachten dat alles goed was gegaan. Toen zagen ze bij elke auto een kras die er volgens hun eerst niet was. Het kruisje bleek achteraf nét niet op de juiste plek te staan. Gelukkig hadden we van 1 auto foto's gemaakt voor het wegrijden. De schade aan de bumper die ze dachten te zien á €350,00 hebben ze dus na veel zeuren terug gedraaid. De lichte kras op twee deuren van de andere auto moesten we toch betalen á €380,00. Gelukkig hebben we dit via Sunny Cars gehuurd en krijgen we waarschijnlijk dit geld wel weer terug, maar het ging ons vooral om de slechte en oneerlijke werkwijze.
Niet meer huren dus via Air Auto en wat mij betreft ook niet meer via Sunny Cars.

Avoid, Scam artists; €370 was debited from our Credit card for a Parcel Shelf that was missing on picking up the Car. We always take pictures and videos externally but now do we have to document every item internally to make sure it is present?? , do we need to open the bonnet also to check every part of the engine is present also?!

Good place to hire car from, very local to Faro airport. Had a long ish wait to complete paperwork and collect the car. Car was adequate, Corsa with 5 doors and AC that could've done with a recharge.
Hand over was easy, noted every lump, bump and scratch. The final check on returning the car was straightforward enough and no surprise costs or payments required.

Warum buchen diese Autovermietungen in Portugal nachträglich nochmal Geld von der Kreditkarte ab? Was soll das? Ich habe das Komplettpaket gebucht und bezahlt, den Wagen mehr betankt als vorher drin war. Was hat das auf sich? Ich musste mit meiner Freundin 2 Stunden warten, bis ich den Wagen übernehmen konnte. Also lange Wartezeiten in der Hochsaison und am frühen Morgen.

Bij het huren van een wagen blijft het optekenen van de reeds aanwezige schade een moeilijke opgave. Om alle problemen nadien te vermijden hebben wij een extra verzekering afgesloten in eigen land. Het is natuurlijk een meerprijs maar dan ben je tenminste zeker van een geslaagde vakantie. (Kon je aanvinken bij onze reis geboekt met Ryanair.)
Wij waren op voorhand op de hoogte van "het bakje" in de wagen om de tol te bepalen. Daar hangt ook een prijskaartje aan vast. Deze kosten worden na een week in rekening gebracht.
Alsook bij het binnenbrengen van de wagen buiten de openingsuren is extra.
Alles is goed verlopen bij Airauto en moest dit nodig zijn komen wij hier terug.

Attention, une arnaque que cette compagnie.
Un prix attractif au départ et puis des frais ajouté au fur et à mesure, par exemple : 30 euros pour qu'une personne soit présente à l'accueil avant 8h du matin. Puis refacturation de 30 euros lors de la remise de la voiture car quelques grains de sable sur le tapis de sol avec un accueil glacial, la personne ne devait pas avoir envie de faire ce travail apparemment...Donc plus cher que d'autre loueur de voiture au final...Réclamation déposée mais les réponses sont toujours du même genre, le loueur ne veut rien savoir...Donc absolument à éviter pour ne pas avoir de mauvaise surprise.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The experience of hiring a car from AirAuto made a very painful start to what was otherwise a lovely holiday. We had to wait for 3/4 hr at the airport with nobody to meet us and then, when the bus arrived, told the bus was full so had to wait again. The man picking us up was extremely rude. And then charged us an extra payment because it was now gone 8pm and there was an additional charge. The only reason we were late was because there was nobody to pick us up! Very frustrating.

Kamen nach 22 Uhr an und haben ein nagelneues Auto bekommen. Am Schalter wollte uns keiner irgendwelche Versicherungen andrehen, super. Die Rückgabe war nach einer Minute erledigt, ohne Beanstandungen. Am Check-in fiel mir dann auf, dass mein Portemonnaie fehlt. Das konnte nur im Auto sein. Ein Anruf und am Mietwagenverleih ist sofort einer nachschauen gegangen und hat es gefunden. Wurde mir dann vom Shuttlefahrer ans Terminal gebracht. Danke!

Personnel est désagréable et malhonnête. Ils essaient de vous arnaquer en voulant vous faire payer divers suppléments. Aucun effort en anglais.
Petits exemples de tentatives :
Faire payer un supplément du à l'âge alors que sur le bon de location il était clair qu'il n'y avait aucun.
Faire payer un supplément de 30 car nous étions devant la grille à 7:55 au lieu de 8h...
Location pas chère mais à FUIR.

Hatten Glück und bekamen ein nagelneues Auto. AirAuto wollte uns zum Internet Preis noch eine Versicherung von 20€ pro Tag verkaufen. Was uns aber etwas überteuert erschien.
Die Rückgabe war etwas konfus und der Shuttlebus hatte viel Verspätung, so dass wir leider unseren Flug verpasst haben.

Wenn man eine Vermietung auf Business-Level erwartet sollte, man schnell weiter ziehen. Aber von Anfang an. Der Mietwagen war neu und alles okay. Aber es wird keine Amex angenommen. Ich musste eine teure Versicherung abschließen obwohl bei meiner Amex alles dabei ist. Na gut, nicht aufgepasst. Abgabe des Fahrzeuges: Musste vor 8 Uhr abgeben da der Flieger um 9 abheben sollte. Überraschung: Man zahlt entweder 30 euro extra Gebühr oder muss einfach bis 8 Uhr warten. Dem Mitarbeiter war es egal. Die Station ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür das günstig nicht immer billig ist.. Ich werde sicherlich nicht mehr Kunde. Wie gesagt: Am Auto war alles okay. Wer also per MasterCard, Visa hat oder die Kaution bar zahlt und nach 8 Uhr abgeben möchte ist fein raus.

Personal ist sehr nett und flott. Die Autos sind nicht die gepflegtesten (unseres hatte fleckige Sitze), ansonsten fuhren sie aber zuverlässig. Es gibt einen Shuttle Service, da der Verleih nicht direkt am Terminal liegt. Allerdings empfehle ich zu Fuß zu gehen, da der Weg zum Shuttle gleich weit ist wie der Weg zum Verleih selbst (nur gute 5 Minuten).

Car was a good few years old with many scratches etc. Returned car today, and they told us that the tyre was damaged and charged us €180 saying it needed replacing. They seemed to know exactly where to look for this damage which was hard to find. Had no option but to pay as they held €2k credit card deposit. Stay clear, seems to be why they can offer cheaper prices to start with

Kurzer Shuttlebus zum Verleih. Dort etwas Wartezeit. Das Auto dem Preis entsprechend etwas älter und bereits mit Vorschäden (Kratzer, kleine Dellen). Diese wurden aber durch den Mitarbeiter mit uns zusammen begutachtet und notiert. Hier ruhig etwas genauer hinschauen ;-) Bei der Abgabe keine Probleme. Schriftliche Bestätigung auf dem Durchschlag gab es auch. Rundherum guter service, nette Mitarbeiter und ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis.

De ontvangst en de auto waren oke. Het inleveren was een grote tegenvaller. Het kantoor gaat om 8 uur open, maar omdat wij uiterlijk om 8.40 moesten inchecken, stond ik om 07.30 voor een gesloten hek. Het hek bleef dicht, maar tegen betaling van €30 Kon je eerder worden geholpen. Pas nadat er om 07.56 uur negen auto's de hele straat blokkeerden, ging het hek open. Wat een geldklopperij. Service alleen tegen een absurde betaling. Laatste keer geweest

Attention à bien vérifier l état de votre voiture au départ même si minuscile rayure ou impact et que le personnel vous dit " pas grave" note l intégralité des rayures,, chocs, caoutchoucs sous parcs chocs etc .... Cette erreur nous a coûté 300€. Le personnel a dit cette micro impact pas noté au môment du départ donc il faut payer.. Une location au tarif intéressant au départ mais qui flambe au retour. Nous louerons chez un professionnel la prochaine fois

Wir hatten keinerlei Probleme bei der Rückgabe trotz eines wirklich extrem verkratzten Autos (schon von Anfang an bei Abholung) preislich super günstig mit allen Versicherungen über check24 so das wir jegliche zusatz Leistungen vor Ort nicht brauchten. Man sollte dennoch sehr darauf achten das alle schon vorhandenen Kratzer und Macken in das Protokoll aufgenommen werden von außen und auch von innen. Der Transport vom Flughafen bis zum Autovermieter klappte problemlos und dauerte nur wenige Minuten. Mit wenig Gepäck könnte man die Strecke auch gut zu Fuß hinlegen.

Vorsicht beim Autocheck am Anfang und bei der Abgabe! Bei der Autoabholung hat der Angestellte ganz oberflächlich die bereits schadhaften Stellen aufgenommen und sogar teilweise übersehen. Bei der Rückgabe fielen ihm plötzlich die kleinsten Kratzer auf, die zwar vorher auch schon da waren, aber nicht im Protokoll standen. Ich musste daher über 200 Euro nachzahlen, obwohl ich nichts verursacht hatte. Ich habe mich total abgezockt gefühlt. Es schien wirklich alles Masche zu sein.

eine Frechheit! In äußerst ruppigem Ton 30 Euro "Bestrafung", weil ich das Fahrzeug in Faro vor 8h zurückgab, obwohl sich ein Mitarbeiter am Gelände aufhielt. Niemand machte uns vorher darauf aufmerksam, dass hier Kosten anfallen werden. Anschließend fuhr er uns nur zur Wartestation, die anderen Kunden aber direkt zum Flughafen. Nie wieder Air Auto! Sicherheitshalber habe ich die Kredeitkarte sperren lassen - wer weiß, was alles außer den Mautgebühren noch nachkommt.

Like all car rentals they try to take as much money from you with expensive insurance, second driver charges. Car broke down and had to go back to the office myself instead of them delivering a new car etc. However, compared to the other rental companies there they are quite ok (or said otherwise, the others are worse)

Zeer slechte begeleiding. Ten eerste moet je zoeken waar je opgehaald wordt om naar de echte plaats te gaan om je auto te halen. Je moet bijna de gehele luchthaven lopen en dan naar P4 zoeken door de parkeerplaatsen. Aangekomen krijg je niet de auto, die je op internet heb gezocht, maar een " gelijkwaardige". Nou dat vind ik dus niet. Je krijgt een formulier om in het Portugees in te vullen. Ook een Engelse versie krijg je, maar ja ..om die daar te lezen...
Later blijkt, als je de grens overschrijdt, je een fikse boete kan krijgen!!!
Er is geen redelijkheid pf coulance mogelijk, maar je wordt gewoon afgerekend. Omda je ze de gegevens hebben van je creditcard, boeken ze ook regelmatig bedragen af die niet te verantwoorden is. Slecht bedrijf! Ten duivels.

The concept of this agency is based on massive fraud. I took a video when picking up the car which 100% proves that a damage was already there. I was charged 307€ for a minimal dult. PLEASE keep away from this !!!

Absolut unseriöser Schweineverein. Haben uns eiskalt abgezockt. Möchte nicht wissen, wie oft sie die gleiche Masche mit dem damage report schon bei anderen und vor allem beim gleichen Auto und dem gleichen Schaden gemacht haben. Guckt euch die Autos sehr gut an. Wenn sie ungünstig und schlecht beleuchtet stehen, lasst sie in eine bessere Position fahren. Nie wieder Air Auto!!!!!!

I was worried about AirAuto due to many negative reviews. We had a great experience with AirAuto in Faro! There was a shuttle bus waiting for us at P4 (not with all of the other rental cars-go the opposite way) when we arrived at 11am. The cars in the lot all looked new. Our car was a Fiat Piro that was great for 4 people. We dropped off our car at 4 am and there was a shuttle waiting for us to take us back to the airport. We did purchase the SCDW coverage for €30/day and they didn't really even care what condition our car was in as we purchased the coverage. They just checked the fuel level.
The employees at pick up and drop off were very helpful and friendly. He did type €2000 instead of €200 into the credit card reader, but I honestly think this was an honest mistake and I caught it before the transaction was processed.
If you are informed about Via Verde tolls and insurance before you arrive, I think you will have a great experience with AirAuto!

Sehr gute Erfahrungen. Wie bei jeder Agentur für Autos sollte man darauf achten, wie das Autos bei Aufnahme aussah (via Fotos) und dann sollte alles reibungslos laufen. Sehr günstige Raten und daher für einen Urlaub um den Flughafen Porto zu empfehlen!

Nach den ganzen negativen Rezensionen, hatte ich doch ein wenig Bedenken, bei diesem Autovermieter einen Wagen zu übernehmen. Am Ende jedoch war ich völlig begeistert! Sehr zügige Abwicklung bei der Übernahme des Fahrzeugs. Alle Vorschäden wurde detailiert aufgenommen und ein vollgetanktes Fahrzeug übergeben. Bei der Rückgabe ein schneller Rundumcheck und eine schriftliche Bestätigung, dass der Wagen ordnungsgemäß und ohne weitere Mängel zurückgegeben wurde. Der Transfer vom Flughafen zur Anmietstation und am Ende des Urlaubs zurück von der Anmietstation zum Flughafen erfolgte ohne Wartezeit. Die Fahrt dauert keine 5 Minuten. Ich würde bei AirAuto jederzeit wieder einen Mietwagen buchen.

Auch wenn ich erst skeptisch war, es funktioniert alles reibungslos und ich bin zufrieden: Erst muss man mit dem ganzen Gepäck dahin, wo der Shuttle einen abholt, aber das ist gut ausgeschildert und der Shuttle-Bus kam schnell - war also weniger aufwändig, als gedacht. Das Auto war nicht mehr das Neueste und hatte einige Beulen und ca. 45.000 KM runter. Die Reifen waren auch schon ganz schön runter und mit zu wenig Luft. Von außen gewaschen, aber die Falze rot vom Sand. Aber im Verhältnis zum günstigen Preis war das Fahrzeug akzeptabel. Sehr gut: Diesel, bei der Rückgabe schneller Service, keine Probleme mit Schäden o.ä., war eh alles versichert. Insgesamt: wenn ich Geld sparen will und mir ca. 15 Minuten Zeitaufwand für den Umweg mit dem Shuttle-Bus anstelle der Flughafenstation mehr nichts ausmachen, dann würde ich hier sofort wieder mieten. Das Personal war nett und zuvorkommend.

Personal sehr unfreundlich, dreckige, verbeulte Autos. Bei der Abholung soll man die kleinste Delle und den kleinsten Kratzer aufnehmen. Auch die Innenausstattung (Warndreiek, Kofferraumabdeckung usw.) soll man genausten auf Schäden und Vorhandensein überprüfen. Mein Rat: Finger weg von Air Auto!

bijzondere nare ervaring bij het terugbrengen van de auto. we hebben de auto opgehaald in de avond. degene die de auto naliep kwam efficiënt en bekwaam over. Rapporteerde ieder krasje rondom de auto. Voelde ook bij de wielkas rechtsachter en ook ik zag dat er schade was. Tevens werd uitgelegd dat de hoedenplank en antenne er was. Alles bij elkaar begon ik het na een lange vlucht wel een beetje overdreven te vinden. Ik heb helaas niet het schaderapport nagekeken of hij ook echt daadwerkelijk alle schadepuntjes had aangevinkt. Bij het terugbrengen liep de werknemer in vogelvlucht rond de auto en de schadeclaim lag vermoedelijk al klaar want in vier minuten tijd zaten wij in een eindeloze discussie dat wij schade hadden gereden rechts achter.Degene die dit deed heb ik in eerste instantie niet eens zien kijken naar die schade. Hij liep er pas na de melding naar toe. Een kind kon zien dat de kras waarbij de verf weg was al ouder was dan tien dagen. Maar de intimidatie was groot, het dreigen om de creditcard te blokkeren, de druk om gewoon maar even 215 euro te dokken was enorm en afschuwelijk naar. Ik vroeg inzage in het rapport van de vorige huurder, dat kon hij niet geven maar dan moesten we maar mailen. Dat heb ik gelijk gedaan en binnen 2 uur kreeg ik al antwoord terug dat er geen schade aan de bumper zat voordat wij huurden. Het was rechts achter en niet de bumper. en zo snel reactie geloof ik gewoon niet. het kwam mij zeer berekenend en verontrustend geroutineerd over. Dus kijk zelf het rapport goed na want als je in een auto stapt waar al schade aan zit loop je het risico dat ze bij terugbrengen gaan claimen. Foto van de auto maken als rapport gemaakt wordt. Het gaat me nog niet eens op het geld maar wel dat ik via internet er nu achter kom dat ik niet de enige ben die dit bij dit bedrijf heeft meegemaakt. Goede les voor de volgende keer.

Ein schlimmes Unternehmen!! Auf jeden Fall meiden.
Das Auto würde uns im Dämmerlicht übergeben. Wir notierten die Kratzer, Schäden an dem offensichtlichen Unfallwagen und verliessen den Ort mit einem mulmigen Gefühl. Es wurden 2000 Euro auf die Kreditkarte geblockt. Versucht uns eine Versicherung von über 350 Euro aufzuschwatzen. Kurz vor knapp verlangte der arrogante Mitarbeiter noch mein CIV, die Nummer neben der Unterschrift. Sehr unangenehm.
So war es nicht überraschend dass dem Mitarbeiter sofort ein kaputter Seitenspiegel auffiel, den wir bis dato nicht bemerkt hatten. Uns würden 400 Euro abgebucht. Wir sind uns sicher, dass der Schaden schon existierte. Jetzt bangen wir, was uns erwartet, wenn wir zu Hause sind.
Nie wieder!!! Eine Beleidigung für das schöne Land und unglaublich dass KLM offensichtlich Cooperationspartner ist.

Lief bis zur Rückgabe bzw. 7 Stunden danach alles Super, das Auto haben wir um 12 Uhr zurück gegeben, woraufhin uns gesagt wurde alles sei in Ordnung wir können gehen, um 19 Uhr kam dann ein Anruf eindeutig in der Annahme wir hätten Faro schon verlassen, es würden Unterlagen fehlen und sie würden uns 125 Euro berechnen, wir sind dann hin mit allem was wir hätten und es stellte sich raus, dass der Fahrzeugschein, den wir nie in der Hand hatten fehlt. Blöderweise haben wir uns bei der Rückgabe nicht bestätigen lassen das alles in Ordnung ist.
Deshalb lieber gleich bei einem renommierten Anbieter buchen, das spart eine Menge Stress. Air Auto wird für uns nie wieder in Frage kommen.

Finger weg!!!! 7 Stunden (!) nach der Rückgabe bei der uns nur mündlich gesagt wurde "alles ok" wurde ich angerufen es würden Papiere aus dem Auto fehlen und er berechnet mir 125 € Strafgebühr. Bin dann extra noch einmal vorbei um den Sachverhalt zu klären. Angeblich fehlte aus dem Handschuhfach aus einer Mappe ein Versicherungsdokument. Die Mappe hatte ich noch nie gesehen geschweige denn jemals angefasst. Meiner Meinung nach ist das einfach nur eine Betrugsmasche (oder grobe Schlamperei zu Lasten des Kunden). Wehe dem der kein Vollkasko / keine Superselbstbehalt-Option gebucht hat. Für uns zum Ende des eigentlich schönen Urlaubs ein echter Dämpfer. Nie wieder.

Ich habe sehr gute Erfahrungen mit der Autovermietung gemacht. Die Abholung war mit einer Wartezeit von ca. 10 - 15 min verbunden. Der Berater war super freundlich, hat individuelle Anfragen berücksichtigt und nicht versucht unnötige Versicherungen zu verkaufen. Das Auto (Fiat Punto) zeigte von außen und innen deutliche Gebrauchsspuren, die aber deutlich in den Papieren vermerkt wurden. Während der Vermietung gab es keinerlei Probleme mit dem Auto und es war ein elektronisches Gerät für die Autobahnmaut inklusive. Die Abgabe erfolgte außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten um 5 Uhr morgens gegen einen Aufpreis von 25 Euro inklusive Transfer zum Flughafen. Vor der Rückgabe des Mietwagens hatte ich aufgrund der Bewertungen hier schon Sorge vor Problemen aufgrund von Beschädigungen am Auto. Aber der Mitarbeiter hat sich das Auto von außen nicht einmal angeschaut, lediglich den Kilometerstand und den vollen Tank kontrolliert.
Insgesamt kann ich die Autovermietung nur empfehlen mit einem super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Mietwagen gebucht bei Air Auto.
Mit dem Mietwagenvermittler CarDelMar gab es keine Probleme bei der Mietwagenbuchung bei Air Auto !
Der Prepaid Voucher von Car Del Mar aber wurde bei Air Auto nicht anerkannt, als ich das von mir angemietete Fahrzeug abholen wollte. Nach einer halben Stunde Rückfrage der bearbeitenden Mitarbeiterin v. Air Auto bei ihren Vorgesetzten erhielt ich einen Vertrag für ein Fahrzeug eine Klasse größer als angemietete und sollte aber 350.- dafür bezahlen. Ich verweigerte das mit dem Hinweis, das ich den Mietwagen schon komplett über Car Del Mar bezahlt hätte und keine weiteren Zahlungen leisten würde. Nach wieder einer halben Stunde Rückfrage erhielt ich einen Mietwagenvertrag über ein Fahrzeug eine Klasse über dem von mir bestellten Fahrzeug. Auch wurde mir die Checkliste für dieses Fahrzeug zur Unterschrift vorgelegt mit dem Eintrag „Fahrzeug ok“.
Ich teilte der Mitarbeiterin v. Air Auto mit, das ich meine Unterschrift erst geben werde,
wenn das Fahrzeug auf etwaige Mängel überprüft wurde. Man machte sich daraufhin auf den Weg zu dem mir angebotenen Mietwagen und schon da waren aus der Ferne einige Schrammen am Fahrzeug zu erkennen.
Die Mitarbeiterin v. Air Auto weigerte sich, das Fahrzeug mit mir auf Mängel zu überprüfen, somit tat ich es selbst. Begleitet und gestört wurde meine Überprüfung durch einen bestimmt nicht freundlichen Wortschwall in der Landessprache und in Englisch wurde immer wieder gesagt, das niemand so genau wie ich ein Fahrzeug überprüfen würde. Nur widerwillig markierte die Dame die von mir genannten Beschädigungen ( 7 an der Zahl ) des Fahrzeuges auf der Checkliste und ich unterschrieb genervt die Checkliste ohne nachzuzählen ob die Frau v. Air Auto auch 7 Kreise darauf gemacht hatte. Bei der Fahrzeugrückgabe stellte sich heraus, das es nur 5 Kreise/Einträge waren.
Der Kilometerstand dieses Mietwagens betrug 48.000 km, und entsprechend waren auch die Beschädigungen und der Zustand des Fahrzeuges. Bei der 1. Tankstelle überprüfte ich den Luftdruck des Fahrzeuges ud stellte an allen 4 Rädern 1,1 bar fest. Das ist dann beinahe eine Reifenpanne.
Bei der Fahrzeugrückgabe „entdeckte“ der Herr v. Air Auto ganz zielgenau doch noch 3 winzige Schrammen am Fahrzeug, die ich offensichtlich bei dem oben beschriebenen chaotischen Check Out „übersehen“ hatte. Man bemerkte diese Schrammen nur aus einem entsprechenden Blickwinkel und den entsprechenden Lichtverhältnissen. Bestimmt hätte man noch weitere „Mikro“ Schrammen finden können....Aber die gefundenen 3 Schrammen waren 420.- wert und genügten anscheinend.
Ich bekam den Hinweis, das ich diesen Betrag ja v. meiner Versicherung zurückbekommen würde und ich mich nicht ärgern sollte und im übrigen bar oder mit Karte diese 420.- bezahlen solle, was ich zähneknirschen dann auch tat. In Internetforen ist zu lesen, das auch anderen AIR Auto Kunden ähnliches wiederfahren ist. Könnte man das hier beschriebene Verhalten v. Air Auto Betrug nennen ?? Bessert man so günstige Mietwagenangebote auf um dann doch noch satten Gewinn zu machen ? Ich überlasse das jedem, der diesen Kommentar hier ließt , selbst zu entscheiden und empfehle dem Mietwagenvermitteler CarDelMar, sich von dem Autovermieter Air Auto zu trennen mit dem Wissen, das diese Empfehlung sinnlos ist.

Voor de tweede keer hier een auto gehuurd via Car Del Mar op Faro Airport. Alles verliep zonder problemen. Bij het ophalen moesten we wat langer wachten ondanks de 5 man achter de balie, was voor ons geen probleem. De auto was hagel nieuwe en het type zoals afgesproken. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en geen verkoop praatjes. Het terug brengen ging erg snel en zonder problemen. Na het inleveren waren we binnen 10 minuten op het vliegveld.

Habe bei 2- maliger (Langzeit) Miete bei Air Auto nur beste Erfahrungen gemacht. Warum hier einige von Pingelichkeit reden, ist mir unverständlich. Flotte Abwicklung, gutes Auto. Beim 2.mal sollten wir ein Fahrzeug mit halber Tankfüllung erhalten. Habe nach einem Auto mit vollem Tank verlangt, dem anstandslos nachgekommen wurde. Alles Top!
Vielleicht sollte einige Mal ihr Benehmen überdenken!

Great and efficient service! Frequent shuttles are run between airport and the rental center. Cars are in great conditions. The staff carefully checked for scratches and damages during the pick up process and marked every single scratches on the forms. This ensures that customers can avoid bearing the responsibilities of the previous damages on the rental car. Return process was also quick and efficient where the staff checked the fuel level and briefly walked around the car to check for any new scratches or damages. Then we were good to go!
Definitely 5 stars and I will return when I travel to Algarve again!

Entgegen anders lautender Berichte hat alles reibungslos geklappt. Das Auto wurde über Car del Mar vorgebucht. Relativ zügige Anmietung ohne aufschwatzen zusätzlicher Versicherungen. Gemeinsamer Rundgang ums gepflegt wirkende und saubere Auto. Keine Probleme bei der Abgabe. Für die Kaution wurden 1000 Euro auf der Kreditkarte geblockt.

Wie schon öfter hier beschrieben, sind kleinste Macken bei der Abholung kein Problem! Werden nur grob mit großen Kreisen auf dem Übernahmebeleg markiert. Bei der Rückgabe wird dann genaustens das Fahrzeug untersucht!! Kleinste Kratzer werden moniert und mit horrenden Beträgen abgerechnet!! Diese gesamte Abwicklung geschieht äußerst unfreundlich, wir baten um einen Beleg des Schadens. Aber so lange wir nicht zahlten wurden wir unbeachtet in der Sonne sitzen gelassen. Um die notwendigen Dokumente der Rückgabe zu bekommen, mussten wir dann zähneknirschend zahlen! Wir haben schon viele Mietwagen gebucht, aber das war bzgl. Schaden und Abwicklung absolut unterste Schublade!!!

Just been robbed to tune of 615 euros - returned vehicle in good order, early with more fuel than handed over with. I hour later whilst at airport, got call to say being charged 615 e for a cracked windscreen. Due to delayed flight went back to challenge and cracks right across driver's vision, including under area cleared by wipers which had been used during journey. Damage done by company to boost their income as we hadn't used their insurance. Take photos and video of every vehicle you hire from this company when you collect it, and most importantly, as soon as you bring it back. They sent us away with no paperwork having checked the vehicle back in saying it was fine. Then called an hour later to bill us for damage that had clearly been done after we left. You don't drive 4 hours ignoring two large cracks right in front of you, that also start below the bonnet line at bottom of screen. Went back to company, confirmed and photographed it for myself that cracks had appeared after I parked it and went round it with their staff member. Beware!!

Abholung mangelhaft, Koffer ins Auto geladen Auto fährt ohne uns ab. Nach 15 min würden wir abgeholt. Abholung dauert lange. Rückgabe vor 8 Uhr kostet extra! Bei der Rückgabe werden minimale Dellen bemängelt die vorher schon dort waren aber bei der Abnahme kein Problem laut air Auto darstellten. Vorzugsweise bei Vollkasko Autos!rück Transfer zum Vergleich der anderen Vermieter weit ab vom Abflug. Der 5. Mietwagen in kurzer Zeit, definitiv der schlechteste. Leider definitiv keine Empfehlung,

Samochód dostałem czysty, zatankowany w 1/2, z takim samym stanem zwróciłem auto.
Bez problemów mogłem podróżować po autostradach i oddać samochód w innym miejscu niż brałem.
Firma nie miała modelu,który zamówiłem więc dostałem samochód klasę wyższy w tej samej cenie.
Jedną gwiazdkę odejmuję za stan techniczny samochodu, niby wszystko ok,jednak przy większych prędkościach lekkie drganie kierownicy i prawdopodobnie zbieżność do ustawienia.

We booked through Ryanair and got Air Auto. You have to take a shuttle bus from the airport carpark. There was only a short wait and the journey is also very short. The car was exactly as expected. The staff member did not try to pressurize me into buying unnecessary extra insurance. He did a thorough check of the car with an accurate sheet. It was easy to drop the car back but you have to pay €25 if you want to collect it before 8am. There was no attempt to overcharge or invent damage on the car. I had a very positive experience with them. August 2018

FINGER WEG VON AIR AUTO-MAFIA LADEN!!!
Wollten mir erst ein verdrecktes Auto anbieten mit halbvollem Tank, habe auf ein anderes bestanden, über check24 wurde auch ein Zusatzfahrer gebucht, dennoch mussten wir nohmal 25 euro dafür bezahlen. Tankregelung voll/voll war ausgemacht und beim anderen auto auch so gewesen. Ein befreundetes Paar kam einen Tag später an und hatte dieselbe Tankregelung gebucht, dennoch bekamen wie es 2/3 voll une sollen es auch wo abgeben. Eine Frechheit. Die autos an sich sind ganz okay, aber nichts besonderes. Nächstes mal wieder ein anderer Anbieter. Eben das auto abgegeben und mir wurde ein kratzer unterstellt, wenn man nicht direkt bezahlt, bekommt man für die Versicherung keine RECHNUNG, sondern sie belasten einfach die kreditkarte. Also mussten wir bezahlen und jetzt zusehen, wie wir dir 300 euro wiederbekommen. Außerdem ist es eine masche um abzuzocken, denn alle anderen Kratzer, Beulen und andere schäden wurden auch nicht repariert. DONT RENT A CAR @AIRAUTO!!!!

Terrible car hire company, we booked & paid for a vw golf & got a tatty old opel astra with 54000 km on the clock. They're also running an insurance scam by claiming for really minor bumps & scratches which were already on the car at the start of the hire. If you've already booked through this company, make sure you photograph every side of the car in detail. At 300 euros a scratch they're making a fortune, avoid like the plague !

Read all the horror stories after booking and was a little concerned. However, pick up from the airport was easy, the car was clean, in good condition and they were happy to note any extra scratches we highlighted (concerned we'd get blamed for it).
Car was great while we had it. Friendly guy checked it over briefly on our return (2 mins) and thanked us for our business. No problems or hassle.

Man hat uns nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass das Gerät für die Autobahnmaut in Rechnung gestellt wird. Es sind zwar knappe zwei Euro pro Tag, man hätte es aber erwähnen können. Es hat mir nicht gefallen, dass ich explizit nach dem vom Vermieter unterschriebenen Rückgabeprotokoll fragen musste um es zu erhalten.
Die Mitarbeiter gehen seriös und professionell mit den Kunden um. Es hat uns gefallen, dass wir das Auto bei der Vermietung in aller Ruhe selbst aussuchen durften. Es war technisch im einwandfreien Zustand, nicht mehr als zwei Jahre Alt, mit 20kkm und mit den, für das Alter nomalen, kleinen Beschädigungen.
Die Autovermietung empfehle ich.

Ok rental company. Be careful who you book through. I came through the Ryan Air website and payed via Amex , but the company doesn't accept Amex when it comes to paying your 2K damage deposit which you need to stump up when you collect your car, so make sure you have another credit card if you do use Amex. Another issue was that the insurance broker that Ryan Air use does not cover you for travel to Spain (an extra €40). Finally, be aware that if you pick up or drop of your car after 8pm and before 8am you have to pay a €25 charge for an out of hours service. Car was fine and staff were helpful.

First you need to go to the end of parking lot P4 not to rent a car but to wait in line 25 minutes for pick up... to car rental destination, there you wait another 15 minutes for car rental... but worst experience were at car return! They do everything to charge you extra charges... as I drove very carefuly they could not find any new scratches on the car so decided to charge me 40 EUR for extreme dirt of the car...
External dirt was explained by... sand on the wipers...
I said I can clean that easily and anyway I expect you give a car for car wash before new user comes
By the way I rented car for 17 days and they expect me to go to car wash before return!!!! Horrible customer experience!!! Never again!!!

Die Abholung des Fahrzeuges war okay. Mit einem Shuttlebus geht es vom Parkplatz 4 in Faro zur Vermietstation. Die sprachlichen Fähigkeiten der Mitarbeiter (Englisch) waren zwar nicht so gut aber mt Händen und Füßen hat man sich verständigt.
Bei der Übergabe gab es dann die ersten Irritiationen, als die Mitarbeiterin auf der Kreditkarte 2.000 Euro als Kaution blocke wollte. Dies war uns so nicht bewusst, zumal die Kreditkarten ein niedrigeres Limit hatten. Somit splitteten wir alles auf und verteilten dann auf mehrere Karten. Die Übergabe am Fahrzeug ging sehr schnell. Die Mitarbeiterin ging zügig um das Auto und markierte die größten Mängel schnell in ihrem Bericht. Da ich bereits mehrfach Autos über cardelmar in Spanien gebucht hatte, dachte ich, dass kleinere Mängel nicht zu notieren seien und unterschrieb das Protokoll. Ein großer Fehler, wie sich bei der Abgabe heraus stellte.
Am letzten Tag wollten wir das Auto abgeben. Die Übergabe hatte gerade begonnen, der Mitarbeiter stand hinter dem Fahrzeug, da wurde ich auf eine "Beule" am vorderen Kotflügel hingewiesen. Wo und wann er diese gesehen haben will, ist mir ein Rätsel. Da es sonst nichts gab, gingen wir zu der Stelle und er zeigte mir eine etwa 1,5 x 1,5 cm große Stelle am vorderen Radlauf, die auch für Laien erkennbar schon reichlich alt war und ohne Lackabschürfungen oder ähnliches. Eine Stelle, die man auf den ersten Blick nicht einmal findet, wenn man nicht darauf hingewiesen werden würde. Diesen "Schaden" hätte ich angeblich verursacht, da er im Übergabeprotokoll nicht vermerkt sei. Meine Anmerkung, dass dieser Schaden nicht von mir stammen kann, weil er sichtlich älter als zwei Wochen war, wurde nict akzeptiert. Stattdessen hatte ich vor Ort 369 Euro für die Reparatur eines minimalen Bagatellschadens zu zahlen. Das ist übrigens die gleiche Summe, die man zahlt, wenn der gesamte Kotflügel zerbeult gewesen wäre.
Mir kam das Ganze aufgrund der oben geschilderten Umstände wie eine Masche vor. ch möchte nicht wissen, der wievielte Kunde ich war, der diese "Beule" bezahlt hat.
Fazit: Nie wieder AirAuto und beim nächsten Mal ganz genau hinschauen und jede noch so kleine Kleinigkeit notieren lassen.
P.S.: Mein Schwager war zur gleichen Zeit in Portgal und mietete bei einem anderen Anbieter Dort wurde alles gehandhabt, wie ich es von Vermietungen in Spanien und Portugal kenne. Ohne Reibereien und mit Kulanz.

Der Verleiher ist unseriös!
Es fing schon an das sein Kreditkartengerät die 2000 € Kaution nicht buchen konnte und er mir mitteilte, die Karte habe das Problem, nach Rückruf bei Mastercard wurde mir aber bestätigt, das keine Anfrage von 2000 € angekommen ist. Nach langen Diskussionen auch mit einem zweiten Kunden wurde, dann ein altes Gerät gefunden was die Kaution buchen konnte.
Dannach habe ich ein total verkratztes Auto erhalten, wo der Verleiher nur mit wieder willen die Schäden auf dem Bogen eingetragen hat. Dazu hat er sich beschwert, ich müsste keine Bilder machen, den der Übergabebogen sei hierfür das ausschlaggebend Dokument.
Bei der Rückgabe wollte er mir ein Kratzer am Außenspiegel anhängen, weil dieser bei den über 50 Beschädigungen nicht eingetragen war, das konnte ich dann aber mit einem Bild widerlegen.
Danch habe ich keine Unterschrift erhalten, dass ich das Auto in einem ordnungsgemäßen Zustand abgegeben habe.
Also Finger weg von Airauto!

Great service. No hassling you to take anything extra like the big boys on the airport. Car was good, got a bigger one than we paid for. We always video car inside and out,always take out our own excess cover. Toll road in portugal had to be paid for whether you are in a hire car or not.had to pay late pick up fee of 25 euros as we landed after 8pm, if I had read the small print it was probably in there! Always feel like hiring s car is the start of a battle but this was a pleasant experience!!

L’entreprise de location de voitures à éviter !!
Nous louons un break le mercredi. Le temps de faire l’aller aéroport/hôtel de vacances. Le jeudi, la voiture ne démarre plus. On nous envoie un dépanneur qui, très mécontent d’être là, recharge la batterie et fuit. Pas de bol : mon mari se met au volant, elle cale et refuse de redémarrer. Les bureaux sont fermés. Une journée a passé sans pouvoir l’utiliser.
Le vendredi matin, on nous annonce qu’il faut prendre un taxi pour retourner à l’aéroport pour prendre une autre voiture (un dépanneur vient récupérer celle que nous avons). Matinée de perdue...
Le personnel trouvait cela apparemment très amusant.
On nous a donné une voiture moins efficace et en plus, aucun remboursement possible pour la journée et demie de perdue ! On pourrait presque considérer cela comme une arnaque !

Mein Fahrzeug, ein Fiat Panda, war neu (12km „alt“), aber auch die anderen Autos schienen neueren Datums zu sein. Musste recht lange auf den Shuttlebus warten. Da die Verleihstation aber sehr nah am Terminal liegt, ist mein Tip einfach rüber zu laufen. Familie bleibt mit dem Gepäck am Terminal und man „springt“ die rund 500m schnell rüber. Personal war freundlich und ist mehrsprachig.

Lange wachttijd nadat wij geland waren op Faro - de auto die we gehuurd hadden was ook al weg. Uiteindelijk een grotere auto gekregen waar we dan ook meer voor zouden moeten betalen, dit uiteraard niet gedaan, toen konden ze gelukkig wel regelen dat we niet hoefde bij te betalen.
Het terugbrengen van de auto en naar het vliegveld Faro ging daarintegen wel weer snel!

Abholung am Flughafen funktioniert reibungslos. Der Bus kommt ca. Alle 15 Minuten. Das Büro ist nur 900 Meter vom Flughafen entfernt Abfertigung am Schalter war ebenfalls in ordentlicher Geschwindigkeit und freundlich. Personal spricht gut Englisch.
Das Auto was wir bekamen hatte 9000 km gelaufen und war gepflegt.
Rückgabe war ebenfalls schnell und unkompliziert. Der Hammer war auch die Freundlichkeit des Mitarbeiters. Meine Frau hatte sich im Urlaub den Fuß verletzt und als er das sah, hat er uns mit einem Leihwagen direkt vor die Flughafen Tür gebracht.

Guter Vermieter, absolut keine Probleme. Gut auch zu Fuß in unter 5 Minuten vom Terminal mit leichten Gepäck zu erreichen. Hat einmal noch gefragt wegen Zusatzversicherung aber nicht gedrängelt. Auto war Fiat Panda mit rund 11000 Kilometer runter Tank war voll zu voll. Auto hatte auch ein paar Vorschäden die der Mitarbeiter mit einem durchgeht. Einen Schaden haben wir beide übersehen. Er ist erst beim abgeben aufgefallen da das Sonnenlicht dann von der anderen Seite kam.(Kratzer Schrammen auf unlackierter Stoßstange hinten unten)War aber kein Problem für die Mitarbeiter.

Right tricky one, reasonable prices, actually very good cars, we had 7 seater and two 5 seat cars. All clean and well maintained. But very pushy staff re insurance, which I had already purchased in the UK, they told me that was not very clever as theirs is better. When we returned cars, quick check and done, great. But then said they will take any tolls charges from credit card, I said fine, do you email first, "no we just take" I said would I get receipt for any charges, he said " if you ask" I said can I ask u send any receipts please, "he said don't ask him phone office. Just felt wasn't the best service. I spent over €600 expected they might want repeat business. But I guess not

Economy car was Toyoto Yaris. Sounded and felt like a lawnmower - not good. On arrival home I discovered it had two bald front tires. Phoned rental company who said to drive back the 45 kilometres (at my expense !) To have new tires fitted. Declined the offer, so hardly used it for the 30 day hire as it felt unsafe. 2☆ are for the depot staff who are very friendly and courteous.

Got this car rental via a holliday package deal. Rental was provided via sunnycars. I insured everything via the holliday booking. All was well!
I arrived at faro airport. After a some searching I found the pick up point. The driver of Air auto shuttle was very polite and helpfull.
Once at the office they answered all my questions. Including the toll roads and if needed how I could avoid them.
Car was in great shape. After my trip of 3 days I returned the car. They did a quick sweep. Everything was ok.
Only weird thing was the amount of administration fee for the toll in comparison to the toll it self.
Also the guy who took my car in was not in a good mood. I think he left his friendliness at home.
Overall it was a good experience.

Usually, I dont write reviews, but in this case I really have to as I was very pleased with the service at AirAuto. Staff was very friendly and when we had a small accident, they were very responsive and helpful. Our cars were both in a good condition.

Das Ausleihen des Fahrzeugs selbst lief absolut problemlos und man war auch sehr nett zu uns. Einen Stern ziehe ich ab, weil ich ein schlafloses Wochenende aufgrund eines Altschadens hatte, den wir eben erst am Wochenende gesehen haben. Unten war der Wagenboden richtig böse eingedellt, aber bei der Übergabe hatten wir nicht darauf geachtet, weil das Fahrzeug dicht an anderen Autos stand. Der Schaden selbst war von aussen auch deutlich zu sehen. Im Gegensatz zu meinen Befürchtungen hat man uns aber keinen Ärger gemacht.

Tourist Scam!!! We got a rental car included in our Corendon-trip (Flying to Faro, hotel in Spain) and we got ripped off.
First of all we had to wait for a long time (We were hours behind the other guests in our hotel to check in). The "All Risk" insurance that was included in the price that we paid, suddenly turned out to be a basic insurance and not an 'all risk'. We had to pay more than €100 euro extra if we wanted an 'All Risk insurance' (while our booking with Corendon stated we got an all risk insurance included in our price).
The rental of the car was with our Corendon holiday: they make us fly to Faro and drive to Isla Cristina, Spain. Suddenly Air Auto doesn't know that we are about to cross a border and we are not allowed to do so! We have to pay €40 to have permission to go to Spain (this was never mentioned before).
When all the paperwork is done, Air auto gives us a car with tires that are completely worn out (I added a picture of one of the tires - the picture was made before we left Faro). They tell us the worn out tires are completely safe and legal when we ask for a safe car. During our first and only ride in Spain, a tire bursts. We call the 'Road assistance' telephone number provided by Air Auto, but they just hang up the phone. We call Air Auto, who immediately tell us they are not going to do anything and we have to come back to Faro to get another car. They refused to call 'Road assistance' while that was included in our price (And we were told they would call them if we wanted so)! We have to fix a spare tire ourselves or pay another road assistance service.
The spare tire was also worn out and flat (I'm not kidding). When we came back in Faro, the staff was extremely rude from the beginning (to say the least), they tried to intimidate us. We explain that we were given a car with worn out tires and we prove it with a video and the manager told me he doesn't need to see nothing and he does not care about anything I want to explain him.
We still need to pay the fuel, taxes and toll for the ride to Faro (and again from Faro back to Spain). They tell me "I'm lucky for having paid all the insurances or otherwise they would have charged me hundreds of euros", while we got a car that was not safe from the beginning, plus we lost a complete day of our holiday, plus we had to pay for all this!
Also, Corendon is doing nothing about it. NEVER rent with Air Auto, it's a scam and you will lose a lot of money! We were lucky we got the burst tire while driving a slow pace!

Dit bedrijf raden wij iedereen af. Ze willen kopietjes van de creditcard voor en achterkant. Waardoor ze alle gegevens hebben om uw creditcard te gebruiken waarvoor ze willen. Als ze een nieuw iphone nodig hebben bestellen ze deze gerust op uw creditcard.
Wij hadden via sunnycars geboekt, toch wilde ze nog allerlei extra’s verkopen die al afgedekt zijn door sunny cars. Ze schrijven 600-850 euro af van je creditcard maar willen ook een kopie met de code er bij of 600-850 extra cash (hadden net zo goed onze pinpas met code kunnen overhandigen) aangezien wij geboekt hadden via sunnycars meteen gebeld. Sunnycars gaf aan dat dit niet de afspraak is en zelf wettelijk niet is toegestaan. Wij zijn keurig geholpen door sunnycars waarvoor dank. Wij hebben na overleg met sunnycars een andere auto verhuurder gekregen. Het nadeel is alleen dat deze duurder was en wij dit zelf moesten bekostigen. Dat is dan wel weer jammer.
Boek dus nooit bij Airauto, pluspunten voor de zeer goede service van sunnycars! Alleen had het verschil in kosten ook wel gedekt mogen worden.

Sie versuchten uns auch keine zusätzlichen Leistungen aufzuschwatzen!!

Wir waren zufrieden. Bekamen aber während unserer Wartezeit mit dass mindestens zwei Pkwmieter im nachhinein nachzahlen mussten für eine Fußmatte die von Anfang an garnicht im Fahrzeug war, der 2. sollte für ein Navikabel bezahlen obwohl er sein eigenes benutzt hat und gar nicht eines von air Auto genommen hat. Wir hatten über einen anderen Anbieter gebucht, der uns an air Auto vermittelt hat. Wahrscheinlich wollen sie solche Firmen und Kunden nicht verkraulen mit solchen Aktionen.Desweiteren stimmt die Angabe nicht direkt am Flughafen zu sein, ein Shuttlebus bringt die Leute erst zum Platz der Firma.Das ist ne Abzocke die Fahrzeuge billiger anbieten und wenn sich die Möglichkeit bietet nachzahlen lassen. Dann doch gleich einen Preis angeben der auch die Kosten deckt.Kalkulation will auch gelernt sein wenn man sich selbständig macht.

Hired the car through a love holidays package, paid for the fee requested, no quams. On collection of the car, we were given 2 options, a €2k refundable fee if no damage to the car if there was any damage I'd lose it or pay €200 to have it fully insured and if any damage no further fee to be charged. Was told this was in the terms and conditions, but you dont get these until the full payment is done. No I didnt read them, no one does. I find it appalling that it only comes to my knowledge once I collected the car, because no one travels with 2k spending money and many people have little above €200 to spend on their holiday. Should be showing when you are given the prices to hire the car not hidden in t&c's. In essence I paid for the car hire twice as I wanted peace of mind and if I didnt have the money it would have been ruined because of false advertising. Sickened to death how can this be done and get way with. Your choice to hire from them or not!

I am soo disappointed, I have used this company many times as other companies ie. Goldcar , hertz, have ripped me off with fake problems. So I Just dropped car off to airauto and a young member of team just tried to rip us off... I will explain .... When we collected car employee went around car and I pointed out some scratches missed on his sheet he said “don’t worry not interested in little ones”. Thank goodness wife took photos on collection of car (plus petrol and mileage pics) as scratch that was pointed out was already on car! He continued to argue with me until my wife reminded me she took pic of the whole car! Luckily the scratch showed up when she zoomed in on pic! So that settled argument there and then, and euros were NOT given. We use this car hire company because they were fair against other rip off companies, but unfortunately only takes “one bad egg” to spoil a companies reputation. Hopefully no deduction upon our arrival to UK! Otherwise we will turn up at their desk next month!

Abzocke!!! Wir haben den Wagen über Check24 gebucht inkl. Aller notwendigen Versicherungen. Trotz Vorlage der Unterlagen wurde behauptet, dass eine Zusatzversicherung notwendig ist, da wir sonst keinerlei Schutz hätten. Es würde sich angeblich um eine "refundable" Option von Check24 handeln. D. h. wir könnten uns das Geld (170,-€!!!) nachher von der Versicherung wiederholen. Absolute Lüge.
Auch die zusätzlichen 30,-€ für die frühere Autoabgabe kann ich bestätigen. Außerdem haben wir den Wagen 3/4 voll erhalten. Wer zum Teufel macht denn so etwas??? So ist selbstverständlich sicher gestellt, dass Kunden draufzahlen.
Natürlich steht hier Wort gegen Wort und es wird nicht ein Cent seitens Check24 zurückerstattet. Äußerst fragwürdig, warum man mit so einem Anbieter überhaupt noch zusammenarbeitet.

Der Vermieter liegt gleich fußläufig beim Flughafen. Nette Mitarbeiter. Leider wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, dass das Auto in demselben Zustand wieder zurückgegeben werden muß, wie es vorgefunden wurde. Weil wir am Strand waren und den Sand nicht entfernt hatten, wurde uns noch zusätzlich eine Reinigungsgebühr von 30 Euro abverlangt. Das ist grundsätzlich kein Problem, wenn das so klar und deutlich vorher kommuniziert worden wäre.

Son unos estafadores, alquilas barato pero de seguro que luego se lo cobran. Cuando te entregan el vehiculo apenas se lo miran, pero cuando lo devuelves te miran y cobran desperfectos de los cuales ni los han mirado al entregarlo. Ganan en esto. Goedkoop bij reservering en dat is het enige positieve dat ik kan vermelden. Bij on-line booking nergens vermelding van een meerkost als je de wagen voor 8u 's morgens binnen brengt. Er was ook wat zand van tussen mijn schoenen op de mat gevallen. Dit werd aanzien als EXTREME DIRT! €50 extra kosten in totaal! Ik kan me niet van de indruk ontdoen dat ze de lage tarieven willen compenseren op andere manieren. Tip: Huur je auto elders!

Auto gehuurd via de website van Ryanair voor 10 dagen. De auto ophalen ging redelijk. Wel een stukje lopen met alle koffers en een buggy met kind. Op P4 was het ook even zoeken hoe of wat. Iemand vertelde ons dat we op het busje moesten wachten. Er kwam na ruim een kwartier wachten (ik denk toevallig) een busje van Airauto aan rijden om mensen af te zetten. Hij stopte ook niet waar wij en andere mensen stonden te wachten, maar ik zag hem toevallig dus er maar naartoe gelopen en mee gereden. Chauffeur was semi-vriendelijk. Hij ging verder ook niet checken of er nog meer mensen stonden te wachten.
Aangekomen bij het kantoor van Airauto was men eveneens semi-vriendelijk. Alles ingevuld en toen naar de auto. Ford Focus geboekt, Opel Astra gekregen, maar dezelfde klasse en dus volgens de voorwaarden.
Auto had rondom aardig wat krasjes en deukjes. Ik heb niet veel ervaring met auto's huren en ik heb zelf eigenlijk ook niet echt gecontroleerd wat men op het formulier aangaf. Ik ga ook een beetje uit van vertrouwen en je komt uit het vliegtuig met al je koffers en het is warm en je kind is moe etc.
Kinderzitje is relatief duur (€4/dag) en we moesten extra betalen (€30) omdat we buiten openingstijden de auto in wilden leveren. Dit was echter allemaal vooraf bekend, dus verder geen probleem.
Na het lezen van een aantal negatieve recensies op Google toch een beetje zenuwachtig geworden. Toen heb ik toch maar eens gekeken wat men op het formulier allemaal had aangegeven qua schade en zelf een rondje om de auto gemaakt. Ik zag een aantal beschadigingen die niet op het formulier stonden. Ik had vooraf wel een extra verzekering afgesloten om het eigen risico van €2000 af te dekken, dus ik was redelijk safe.
Vanmorgen (04.15 uur) de auto ingeleverd en dit ging eigenlijk heel soepel. Bij de benzinepomp naast het vliegveld getankt. Vrouw en kind alvast afgezet op het vliegveld en zelf de auto ingeleverd. De man liep in 20 seconden rond de auto en vertelde dat het in orde was (ondanks de beschadigingen die dus niet op het formulier stonden). Hij keek heel globaal en was zeker niet naar schade aan het zoeken zoals een aantal andere mensen blijkbaar hebben ervaren. Vervolgens door een vriendelijke vrouw met het busje afgezet bij het vliegveld.
De auto was ondanks de vele beschadigingen prima in orde. Bij thuiskomst zag ik dat de €2000 ook alweer zijn vrijgegeven op mijn creditcard.
Al met al hadden wij een prima ervaring met Airauto.

Despite buying excess insurance from Ryanair, AirAuto wants me to pay 30euro per day for the excess insurance or give them a deposit of 2000 euros as they do not accept what Ryanair has charged us!
I paid them 2000euros as deposit as I feel they are scamming people with excess insurance. However this is the first and last time I am using them!

Overall the experience was fine, the car was nice and picking up was pretty simple although it was fairly quiet when we arrived.
Important things to note here though - If you need to drop the car off outside of office hours (8am-8pm) they will ask for you to pay an additional 30€. They will not even allow you to park inside the car park between these times.
Additionally, if you are able then do not bother waiting at the kiosk for the shuttle, it is around 5 minutes to walk to the rental lot across the road which is better than waiting in the sunshine for upwards of 30 mins.

I'm quite unhappy because they mistakenly debit money from my credit card account days later after the end of the contract. When it comes to refunds they complicate everything, the process takes a long time, they lie etc. I don't recommend this company.

If you are involved in an accident (no matter if it's your fault or not), they will charge you 90€ ("police report fee"). My insurance didn't pay for that. So be careful and check with your insurance first.

It was horrible! Been badly traded as new arriving customer from an arrogant naughty shuttle driver who supposed to take customers to the office, I was so stunned and shocked from this man! Whatever, you never ask passenger to get out and walk, it’s your job to serve! Absolutely unacceptable.
The staff at reception wasn’t better...everybody in the office was in a such bad moods and let me feel that I’m not welcome.
My first day in Algarve was ruined.

Hired an 8 person minibus for our family. Declined 400 euro fully comp insurance in return for a 3000 euro returnable deposit. Six different cards declined across 3 different people (all with enough funds) as they try to funnel you toward the 400 euro non-returnable. After speaking to my bank who could not see a declined transaction and checking Monzo which would show in the app as declined.... The 3000 euro pre-auth magically starts working (as they could see we were sticking with it)
Followed the guy round and signed off the damage sheet with quite a lot of marks on it
No problem with the hire car for 10 days and a good experience. On return a mark is picked up that wasn't on the damage report and I'm charged 433 euros!!! I've not so much as nudged a car on anything in 21 years of driving...
If you hire off air auto watch them like a hawk!!
1. Watch for magically declining transactions if you do not go fully comp
2. Double check all damage is accounted for on the initial report (my first mistake)
3. Take photos of all panels on receipt of the vehicle (my second mistake)

You must have a credit card in your name that they can reserve 1500.00 euros ! Not a pre paid credit card, debit card nor ANY card in your partners name. As I do not do credit, I learnt the hard way and it took me 4 hours to sort a car out in the end . I have lived in the Algarve many years before, My advice is to do your homework in that there is a car company that does not need a credit card.

They have a slick operation on how to gain a few damage extras on the car.
So on arrival I was picked up by family who live in Portugal and they took me to the pick up office. On arrival staff just plain rude and with no service level training. Waited to be seen in the office that only had 1 customer and 4 staff behind the counters, fanning themselves as it was hot. Took a while to be seen, once seen produced my paper work that was snatched out of my hand. I had to turn hold myself back as I don’t do bad service. On processing the staff tried to convince me to take 20€ per day damage insurance. I explained I paid a premium already to protect me via AXA Assistance Group, he then tried to convince me that it’s better to take their insurance, even though I already paid a premium. When I confirmed no thanks he got even more aggressive. We then moved outside to inspect the vehicle, my brother was with me and he also went around the car and found dents scratches and damage that the staff didn’t note. Then on front right wing identified some damage, the staff said Yeh yeh yeh I have this and wandered off and returned then said I need signature for car, explained fuel return etc. My mistake was not rechecking the form as the damage to front panel was not marked. So on return they said not on there so you must pay, pulled up a load of rates for damages and pointed at front wing damage, this cost me a lot . At this point my blood was boiling I remained calm and explained what went on and how their scam was not right, I only drove the car 4 times, 2 of which was to and fro the airport and the remainder of time it was sat in my families massive drive, under shade. The staff on return seemed to not even bother with my comment and said it’s not on the paper work.
I do wished I had taken a video of the car and pics as I would’ve had them where I needed them.
It’s sad that companies like these even with the feedback nothing is enforced to protect travellers. I will be conducting a separate investigation with the tourist authorities in Portugal to stop these kind of traders operating.
Please don’t hire from these people and company, they only have one thing in mind, to rip you off. I also note reviews on Trip Advisor is very consistent with Trustpilot.
Plus the car was filthy on pick up so no care overall. Thanks and go elsewhere, even if it’s more.

Anstatt direkt beim Flughafen ein Auto zu mieten, lohnt es sich mit einem Shuttle zu AirAuto rüber zu fahren (ca. 1km). Konkurrenz wie Sixt und Europcar verlangen ca. das Doppelte. Bei AirAuto haben wir pro Tag 20 € plus Versicherung und Navi bezahlt.
Der Service beim Anmelden und Zurückgeben war sehr kompetent. Einziger Minuspunkt war dass das Navi viele Orte/Straßen nicht gespeichert hatte. Angekommen ist man trotzdem. Insgesamt nur zu empfehlen!

es wird überall extra abgezockt, 30 € für halbe Stunde früher aufmachen, obwohl 4 andere auch früher das Auto zurück bringen, muss jeder 30 € bezahlen. Wegen dem ein bisschen Sand im Auto wurden noch mal 30 € kassiert. Unglaublich unfreundlich. Putzt das Auto lieber gründlich bevor ihr es zurück bringt!!!!!!
Man merkt sofort, dass es die Masche ist mehr Geld rauszuholen....bitte bucht wo anders Euer Auto um Ärger zu sparen. Buchen so oft ein Mietwagen, aber sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt....

Ich dachte ich könnte hier heute eine positive Bewertung abgeben. Denn wir hatten für unsere 17 Tage Urlaub in Portugal ein tolles Auto. Die Fahrt mit dem Shuttle Bus und die Übergabe verlief problemlos.
Bei der Abgabe dann die Krönung: Leider hat man wohl versucht das Auto aufzubrechen. Das Schloss und alles funktionierte problemlos und das Auto ließ sich öffnen und schließen. Nun wird allerdings ein Betrag in Höhe von 130 Euro fällig. Ich könnte schwören der Schaden war bereits bei der Abholung da gewesen. Aber ich hatte mich mehr auf die Kratzer und Dellen im Lack konzentriert als das Schloss zu prüfen.
Ein Tipp: Schaut euch alles an und macht zur not Bilder. Dann seid ihr bei der Abgabe auf der sicheren Seite.

Ich habe sehr gute Erfahrungen mit airauto gemacht. Bei der Abholung gab es keinerlei Probleme und das Personal hat sehr gutes Englisch gesprochen! Außerdem war airauto mit Abstand der günstigste Anbieter in der nähe des Flughafens. Die Abgabe des Autos verlief auch ohne Probleme, uns wurde dabei noch mitgeteilt das die Gebühren der Autobahnen im Laufe der nächsten Wochen noch der Kreditkarte abgebucht werden.

An absolute shambles. We arrived at the airport where we were given unclear instructions on a shuttle bus and had to then wait for at least half an hour for the bus to finally arrive. We were then taken to the nearby car park where they held the cars. We were made to wait again for over an hour with no reason why as everyone was just standing around doing nothing! The car was first shown to us in a dark setting, but 3 of us went round the car with torches making sure to get every piece of damage, however in hindsight it is clear that the man did not write down all scratches (and there were a lot of them.)
On returning of the cars, they “spotted” what they said was a new scratch, however this was pointed out by at least one member of the group. After some back and forth they would not budge and decided to charge €250 for barely visible scratches. Terrible service, crooks are the only (safe for work) word I can use to describe the people who work here.

Arrived at the airport and waited for a shuttle to another venue to hire the car. We waited 45 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Then another 45 minutes to check each car for scratches. We pointed out many scratches but the person failed to mark them down- DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. Moreover, avoid arriving between 8pm-8am you have to pay out of hours fees. Furthermore, arriving late will mean MANY PRE-EXISTING SCRATCHES WILL BE MISSED due to lack of light. They say they have enough light with their ‘floodlights’ but they still use their phone lights.
When you return, they WILL find something and make you pay £200++ for it.
Save your money, go for a more reliable company.

Used them a number of years now (via Holiday Autos), no issues, bus transfer on time. Drivers & staff pleasant. No queues. Not newest of cars but fine for what we want driving locally. Remember to buy your collision damage insurance in UK before travelling & be prepared to put €2000 on your credit card at the depot. Would be used for damage claim, which you'd recover from UK policy if you were unfortunate to have a bump.

guter Service. Das Auto, dass wir bekamen war relativ runter, in Portugal bei den steinigen Straßen aber definitiv ein PLUS, weil keiner auf die Idee kommt kleine Macken zu monieren. Verleihen auch ohne Kreditkarte, mit is aber deutlich günstiger. es sei denn Du hinterlegst 1500 Takken Kaution.

Two of our party had special assistance which stopped at the exit gate of the airport. We were sent to Air Autos at a distance all uphill of at least 10 minutes walk. We literally stole wheelchairs and the 2 more able bodied had to do the trip twice, once with 2 suitcases each and then back to push the wheelchairs. Then we had to stand and wait 30 minutes in strong sun for a minibus to take us to the off airport place where the cars were several miles offsite. We are in our mid 70's and were absolutely exhausted. They thought it was funny! Then when we returned the car they insisted it had a £400 scratch that we put on it (we didn't). Thank heavens we took out proper extra insurance in the UK before we left! Then we had to beg and plead with the minibus driver to take us to departures rather than the remote drop off point. He charged us €3.50 to do this and was not at all happy. Never again - dreadful company.

Au retour 246€ pour une rayure entre la porte et le toit, nous ne l avons pas vu.. On a toujours tendance à mieux regarder les portes que le dessus de la voiture... Donc une rayure qui doit être là depuis longtemps et qui y restera longtemps encore car elle rapporte à tous les coups, le loueur y va direct dessus ça été flagrant.
Passez votre chemin si vous voulez bien finir vos vacances pas comme les miennes.

Ich musste 492 EUR zahlen, weil angeblich jemand versucht hat das Auto aufzubrechen. Das Auto stand aber 2 Wochen unabgeschlossen bei uns auf dem Camping Platz, sodass das nicht sein kann. Ich bin mir sicher, dass das Schloss schon vorher defekt war und das alles nur eine Masche ist, um die Leute abzuzocken. NIE WIEDER AIR AUTO!

Mittlerweile wurde mir von der Versicherung zugesichert, dass ich die Kosten erstattet bekomme.

Huur gewoon een auto bij een gerenomeerd bedrijf.
Inmiddels zijn we meer dan een maand thuis en is de 2000,- euro credit voor de huur nog niet terug gestort op mn creditcard.
Air car renstal een onbehulpzaam bedrijf en als het kan zullen ze je extra kosten in rekening brengen.
Een kinderzit verhoging kost 4 euro per dag terwijl je ze voor 7,5 euro kan kopen bij de eerste de beste supermarche.

Sehr schlechter Vermieter.
Bei der Übergabe wurde versucht, Altschäden als neue Schäden zu deklarieren.
Desweiteren befindet sich ca 50 Meter neben der Abgabestation eine Tankstelle und ich tankte den Wagen vor Abgabe rantvoll.
Bei Übergabe musste ich trotzdem 15 Euro zahlen, da der Wagen angeblich nicht vollgetankt war.
Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

They are complete cowboys and scam tourists for old damage which has probably been charged for time and time again!
On inspection prior to hire the rep was happy to ignore certain scratches - if you’re using them take a video of the car and note ALL scratches down.
The scuff we were charged for ( and definitely did not do!), was under the front bumper. You had to get on your hands and knees and look under the car to see it.
The car next to us was also being scammed for a scratch they didn’t cause- funny how the reps know exactly where to look when you return!

Air Auto was a good company, the initial prices were good and they had Via Verde electronic toll transmitters fitted in the cars. Checking out the car took a long time and was a bit of a hassle. They charged extra taxes for each toll journey which was not cheap and a hassle. Returning the car was a easy and fast. They drove us back to the airport.

On a été très bien accueilli. On avait réservé notre voiture sur last minute mais n'avions jamais reçu de bon d'échange. Le loueur a pris le temps de retrouver notre dossier dans ses fichiers. Nous avons donc pu récupérer notre voiture sans problème. Aucune incitation à prendre une assurance complémentaire. Quand on a rapporté la voiture, aucun problème et le loueur nous a ramené à l'aéroport, juste devant le terminal. Vraiment top.

Would have given five star but for the long wait for the transport from the airport to the office to pick up the car. However, it was easter so a really busy time. Ärger gab es bei der Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs, das wir mit dem besten Gewissen, nichts beschädigt zu haben, zurückgaben. Uns wurde aber eine Beule an der hinteren Tür auf der Beifahrerseite des Fahrzeug zur Last gelegt. Diese war so klein, dass sie mit dem Auge nur bei günstigem Lichteinfall (Sonne von hinten) und auch dann nur aus einem bestimmten Blickwinkel heraus zu sehen war. Der Lack hatte an der Stelle - im Gegensatz zu manchen anderen Stellen des Fahrzeugs - überhaupt keine Beschädigungen (vgl. Foto, wo Sie sehen, dass Sie nichts sehen). Der Mitarbeiter der Firma entdeckte diesen Schaden jedoch quasi sofort, als hätte er schon gewusst, wo er ihn finden kann. Dafür buchte man dann sogleich ca. EUR 190 von unserem Konto ab. Merkwürdigerweise wollte man uns zunächst drängen, den Schaden vor Ort zu bezahlen und verweigerte zunächst sogar eine Quittung über die Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs.
Dagegen wehren kann ich mich als einzelner Kunde wohl nicht, denn diese Beule war bei Übergabe nicht bemerkt worden und sie war angesichts des sonstigen Zustandes des Fahrzeugs auch eigentlich nicht der Rede wert. Interessant wäre aber, ob bereits andere Kunden für diesen Schaden bezahlt haben, oder zukünftig dafür zahlen sollen. Das Kennzeichen des Wagens (Fiat Panda, weiß) lautet: 93 QC 29. Da das Fahrzeug bei Übergabe einige größere Schäden aufwies, nehme ich an, dass der uns zur Last gelegte Schaden ebenfalls nicht repariert wird. Wozu auch? Er lässt sich ganz gewiss noch vielen anderen Kunden in Rechnung stellen . Ich vermute hier unseriöse Machenschaften des Verleihers, der seinen Mietpreis auf diese Weise schön aufbessert. Aus 70 EUR wurde so fast das Vierfache. Ich kann daher vor AIRAUTO nur warnen. Und wenn man dort mietet, sollte man das ganze Fahrzeug abtasten, um später keine bösen Überraschungen zu erleben.

Second time hiring a car from Air Auto. Just be careful doing a night collection from them. the lights dont show up all the dents. had an issue returning car where a dent wasnt picked up due to poor lighting on collecting the vehicle. Lady who did the check left the check entirely to me to spot the issues on the car and there were quiet a few scratches. would recommend taking a video tbh. Issue was sorted out by calling the supervisor who to be fair was extremely nice and issue was resolved straight away. I would use them again. value and service is very good.

Chaos beschreibt es am besten, Wilkommen in Portugal! Beim Auto abgeben, bloß nichts im Wagen vergessen, das ist auf Nimmerwiedersehen verschwunden. Immer das Auto genau prüfen (Bremsen z.B.) , hier werden auch die letzten Schrottmühlen noch vermietet. Vielleicht hilft ja etwas Bakschisch...

Miete eines Fahrzeugs hier haben wir nur positive Erfahrungen gemacht.Es wurde uns KEINE zusätzliche Versicherung "angedreht", wie hier von einigen berichtet wird.Man weiss, dass bei -über billiger-mietwagen.de in Deutschland- gebuchten Fahrzeugen die SB übernommen wird! Von der bei der Miete vorgelegten Kreditkarte wurde die fällige Autobahngebühr im Nachhinein korrekt abgebucht. Außerhalb der Geschäftszeiten (8-20 Uhr) kostet es 25 Euro zusätzliche Gebühr. Autos bisher immer tadellos!

Pessimo servizio!!!!Fare attenzione ai soldi che chiedono per il deposito benzina. Al momento in cui si restituisce il veicolo tentano di non ridarteli. Fare una foto del pieno della benzina quando ai ritira il veicolo il primo giorno.Inoltre non buttare il contratto di riservazione poichè cercano pure di dirti che hai usato l'auto un giorno più del dovuto.

top zufrieden, immer wieder! Ich fliege mehrmals im Jahr nach Faro und mittlerweile buche ich ausschließlich bei AirAuto meine Mietwagen. Es ist ein sehr korrekter Vermieter, Autos sind immer tip top und ich habe noch niemals Probleme gehabt. Es geht sehr schnell, in wenigen Minuten, sehr kompetent und freundlich. Auch mit der Belastung der Kreditkarte und der nachträglichen Abrechnung der Autobahngebühr läuft immer alles perfekt. So muss Reisen sein, ich werde in Faro nichts anderes mehr buchen!

Was rather upset the day we returned our vehicle. We paid to have an early return time because our flight out of Faro was very early. We arrived @ the time they set ( 4:05 am ) just to sit and wait 30 minutes for the agent to arrive. The car was great, the pick olup of the car went well, but arriving on time @ 4:00 am is pretty important when you have a very early flight to catch.

Abzocke!! Vorsicht!! Kreditkarte wird 2 x verlangt! 1 mal Kaution, ok! 1 mal angeblich für eventuelle Strafzettel, Maut usw. ! 4 Wochen nach dem Urlaub kommt dann die Kreditkartenbelastung mit 20,- Euro pro Tag für eine Zusatzversicherung die ich zuvor aber schon bei Cardelmar abgeschlossen habe ( steht auch in der Buchungsbestätigung)!

Schlechter Mitarbeiter. Die Abwicklung war unkompliziert. Die Übergabe das Auto war ok. er Tank war nich 3/4 voll trotzdem wurde 3/4 voll eingetragen. Öl Wechsel Anzeige meldetet sich immer beim Start. Wartung wahrscheinliche versäumt.Gelaufen ist das Auto gut. Leider nicht genug Mitarbeiter. Alles war überhastet. Als wir das Auto abgegeben wollte waren wir um 07:46 auf dem Platz. Ein Mitarbeiter wollte 25-. Euro von uns haben da wir vor 08:00 Uhr den Wagen abgeben wollten. Diese habe ich ihm verweigert. Ich musste die Koffer wieder ins Auto laden und mit dem Auto den Hof verlassen. Ich durfte nicht die 14 min. auf dem Platz stehen bleiben. So ein unverschämtes Verhalten ist mir noch nie vorgekommen. Sonst war alles ok. Solche Menschen braucht Portugal. Mich würde interessieren was seine Mutter dazu sagen würde. Ich glaube sie wurde zerbrechen an solch einem Sohn. Es war ein toller Urlaub. Alle Menschen in Portugal geben alles um uns zu zeigen wie toll Portugal ist. Bis auf diesem Mitarbeiter des Unternehmen Air Auto. Sunny Cars überlegt euch ob man da nicht handeln sollte.

We rented a car for the weekend for €48. It all went well until we returned it: we were charged an extra €50 for a missing tiny detachable plastic cover of the trailer attachment, which we never used, and most likely wasn't there already. It felt like a trap! We live nearby and we're going to rent cars in our weekends out, and on the first weekend we crossed AirAuto out - never again!
Tip: take photos of your rental car before they hand you the keys, and look for detachable parts of the car (we didn't).

A zero star rating would have been nicer. After weeks of trying to contact the office i finally manage to get an answer. 5 short sentences in which they accuse me of making the damage, period. And the funniest thing? The photo they provide as proof is not even our car. Crazy. These people are not to be trusted. Film and document eveything, let them sign everywhere but still manage to take more money from you.
It is as the saying goes: If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
When you rent here, make sure you document everything meticulously.
EDIT: After a lot of communication, calling and convincing, AirAuto decided to pay back the money withheld from my creditcard. There was suposedly a mixup in two seperate cases. I received an apology from the company and therefore i will change my stance a little on AirAuto. A little bit of service after all.
I was hoping for a free upgrade next time in Faro, but helas. Untill next time!

Worst car rental I have used so far. they debit your credit card for 2000 euros, do not accept early return of the car, unless you pay 25 euro extra, shuttlebus driver is a bully. they do not know they are in the customer business.

If I could give them no stars then I would..... shocking..... if you use them take LOTS of photos/video of the car when you collect it and make sure the tiniest mark is noted on the Damage Report. What starts out as a good deal in the end, cost us nearly 300 euros for a tiny dent they said wasn't there at the beginning ..... which in a different light on our return showed up, we returned car in bright early morning sunshine ...and which we CERTAINLY did not do...... so annoyed. Had such a marvelous holiday,love Portugal just to be marred by this !!!! WONT be using them again, that is for sure .....

Sehr schlechter Service!
Wir hatten leider das Problem, dass meine Kreditkarte von denen nicht akzeptiert wurde und es wurde leider von unserem Reisebüro versäumt uns dies mitzuteilen. Dann ist niemand mehr zuständig und man wird in einem fremden Land einfach stehen gelassen, obwohl soweit alles gebucht und bezahlt war!

DO NOT USE THESE BULLYING CON ARTIST!! We booked due to being a reasonable price. There is a short walk to a regular shuttle bus from the airport to their offices with the driver giving instructions on how to get back when you return the car. There was a hidden cost we weren't aware of though. Due to the time of our flight there was an after hours charge of around £30 which we were not expecting. Also the excess on the car seems a lot - £1500 which you can either pay upfront and have returned to you when you return the car or pay another insurance of £20 a day. The car was clean but a lot of scratches and marks that had not been noted before so highlighted these to the attendant as we went round (this was at night using my phones torch which didn't make it the easiest thing to do). After returning the car fully fuelled they "found" that the parcep shelf in the boot was missing. Despite our demands that this was never there when we collected the car the man pointed out that the box was ticked to say it was and that we lost it. He admitted that this box is ticked automatically and rather than pointing this out to us it was ignored. A total cost of £147 for something that was missing. An argument between us started with a staff member telling me to f#@$ off and aggressively hitting me in the back of the heel in front of other customers. I will be reporting this to the police and pressing charges against this individual who claimed to be the manager but turns out was only a member of staff will little regard for the customers. I would recommend you use taxis rather than this corrupt, poorly managed, rude and dishonest company it would certainly be significantly cheaper!!!

Booked via online agency for a good price. The AirAuto office and parking is about 300m from the Faro terminal building but they also run a shuttle bus. Professional service, paperwork in both English and Portuguese. Car was in reasonable good nick and we had about 1000km trouble free. CDW excess was Euro 2000 so I had taken out separate CDW excess insurance in advance, this was no problem to them. I collected car alone and supervised the checking at start and finish and took photos. No quibbles; you just have to show that you know what you are doing.

Ive used Air Auto on several occasions now and always find them to be competitive and fair. As with all hire companies you need to make sure you are happy with the product before you take it away. Always take photos of any damage. Also for £40 a year you can take out your own insurance which will cover you everytime you hire a vehicle anywhere in Europe. During high season i avoid the queue in car park 4 and walk straight to the office takes 5 mins.

Une belle equipe de voleurs et de personnes mal honnêtes. Ils m ont pris une caution de 460e sous prétexte que j'avais fais une bosse à leur 208 ! La bosse y était !!!! Alors quand on vient chercher la voiture tout le monde est souriant et parle correctement français mais quand il y a un soucis plus personne ne vous comprend ! C est la plus ignoble agence de location de voiture jamais rencontré. Le patron est vraiment une personne malhonnête qui cherche uniquement à faire du profit sur le dos des touristes. Bravo pour l'image que vous laissez de votre pays !!!!

1 car was very dirty not cleaned at all lot of marks and some damage to grill so took photos , just in case needed .

When my attention was diverted for a moment , inoticed and caught the chap who was checking out the car , kneeling down at front of the car and using back of the car key rubbing: scratching onto car front bumper . He quickly got and told me there is a damage and he will charge me for the damage . When challenged that I had seen him doing a criminal and intentional damage to the car himself.He became aggressive and lied by stating that he was checking the area if it was insect mark!!!
He threatened that he had my card details and he will charge me what ever he likes and there is nothing I can do about it ! This criminal and scammer went on to charge to my card with no sham . Supervisor was of no help.
Airauto car rental at Faro appears to be running a new scam by criminally damaging the car on return and than charge customers on credit card, details of which they have.
Avoid. AIRAUTO car rental company based at Faro airport
They are crooks with no shame to loot tourist by fraudulent and crimininal damage ( scratches with car keys ) to cars at point of returning the car

1. Excellent accueil.
2. Voiture de location changée à la dernière seconde contre une Fiat Panda noire humide, sortant du lavage et pleine de rayures.
3. Constat faisant mention de tout ce que j'ai pu voir...
4. Lors du retour de voiture: "agressé" par un employé alors que je n'ai même pas arrêté le moteur et qui crie "there is a dent"
5. Sort de la voiture et constate qu'il y a effectivement plusieurs mini bosses (type voisin de parking qui ouvre sa porte). Etant donné l'état général de la carrosserie, je pense qu'il plaisante...
6. Non, plaisanterie à 307.50 Euro .
Conclusion: Faites un constat de réception d'entomologiste avec photos et films à l'appui ou allez chercher plus simple et plus honnête chez la concurrence

Rented two cars. One was in good condition, the second one barely made it through the hills. Also, the service takes way too much time for renting and returning of the cars. we wanted to return the cars three hours before the flight took off and arrived at the check-in just in time because the employees could not handle so many car returns that day.

Ich habe in Deutschland über Sunny Cars gebucht, Abwicklung vor Ort wirklich unkompliziert und sehr freundlich,keine Versuche zusätzliche Versicherungen zu verkaufen. Mir wurde die Wahl gelassen welchen PKW ich in dieser Klasse haben möchte. Das Auto war sehr gepflegt, die Endabrechnung der Maut war korrekt.
Ich würde wieder dort buchen, ach so der Bus pendelt regelmäßig von P4, fahrt dauert ca 5min.

Not the best experience. I was asked for EUR 2,000 as a deposit and after 30 min of arguing I agreed to it. Alternatively, they offer their own insurance for EUR 20 per day, which means it goes into hot air, if you are a careful driver. Another thing that annoyed me was the fuel. Their fuel policy on the website says full to full, but they gave me a car with like 25% of fuel, but thanks to my maths, I was able to estimate exactly how much I was given, and not a litre more. Air Auto was the cheapest car rental provider in the season, but I rather pay EUR 25 more and have a hassle free holiday. I am now in the waiting mode to see if they will find a reason to charge my card...

Air Auto Faro or Air Auto in general: avoid like fire. They will charge 20€ if you leave the car before 8:00 even though it's not written anywhere on the contract nor terms and conditions. They will charge some customers, and some they will not. I have paid this value when under the pressure of missing the flight if I wanted to wait in order not to pay the 20€. When contacted afterwards they did not care at all. The car itself was old and made noises. It can be cheap but it can bring very bad situations like the car just not working or charging you fees which were not part of the contract. Like I said, just avoid this company...

Abholung etwas langwierig da großer Andrang beim Shuttle. Schade das nicht alle so diszipliniert anstehen wie die Briten dann wäre alles etwas entspannter. Service aber sehr freundlich und kein Versuch Versicherungen zu verkaufen. Rückgabe schnell und unkompliziert. Zur Öffnung um 8 Uhr morgens gab es schon eine kleine Warteschlange.

COMPAGNIE A ÉVITER A TOUT PRIX !!! Nous sommes passés par AIRAUTO via le courtier en ligne CareHireLabs pour une location au mois d'Aout 2016 au Portugal. Tout s'est bien passé y compris lors de la réception du véhicule... jusqu'à ce que nous découvrions, plusieurs semaine après notre retour, que leur compagnie sous-traitante AIRAUTO s'était servie de notre empreinte de carte VISA (alors même que le double nous avait été restitué !) pour nous facturer une seconde fois la location complète du véhicule (déjà payée en totalité à CareHireLabs)... Il s'agit d'un vol pur et simple ! On nous confirme à chaque appel passé auprès du service client de CarHireLabs qu'il y a effectivement un souci administratif et que le remboursement va suivre... Nous sommes maintenant fin décembre et toujours rien de fait !!! C'est une honte et après avoir été plus que patients nous allons maintenant déposer plainte pour faire cesser ces agissements.
COMPAGNIE AVOID AT ALL PRICES !!! We went through the online broker CareHireLabs for a rental in the month of August 2016 via their partner in Portugal AIRAUTO. Everything went well, including when we received the vehicle... until we discovered, several weeks after our return, that their subcontractor company AIRAUTO had used our VISA card imprint (then Even the double had been returned!) To charge us a second time the full rental of the vehicle (already paid in full to CareHireLabs)... This is a straightforward theft ! We are confirmed at every call made to CarHireLabs customer service that there is indeed an administrative concern and that the refund will follow... We are now at the end of December and still nothing !!! It is a shame and after being more than patient we will now file a complaint to stop these actions.

Auto Abholung und besonders die Rückgabe mit anschliessender Fahrt, direkt zum Airport haben super geklappt. Allerdings mussten wir 20 Euro extra zahlen weil wir vor den offiziellen Öffnungszeiten abgeben mussten. Deshalb ein Punkt Abzug.

Augen auf bei der Übergabe! Unbedingt jede kleinste Beule aufschreiben lassen und Fotos am Besten mit dem Angestellten im Bild machen. Nicht davon ablenken lassen, dass kleine Kratzer unaufgefordert (auf Englisch "chips") aufgeschrieben werden. Das schafft zwar Vertrauen ist aber unwichtig. Auf kleine Unebenheiten im Blech, Beulen und tiefere Kratzer achten. Sonst kostet es bei der Rückgabe 180€ pro Beule. Noch besser ist es, bei der Buchung auf Vollkasko OHNE Selbstbeteiligung zu achten. Lieber ein paar Euro mehr zahlen als nachher für Schäden zahlen die man gar nicht verursacht hat.
