Nice atmosphere. Boutique hotel. Location good - close to the congress centre, Estoril train station, and the beach and some good restaurants on the promenade. Very clean. Reasonably priced for location. Breakfast was also good for the price. Bed was however very uncomfortable. Mattresses need to be replaced (I believe there is a newer part of the hotel which has been renovated with better rooms). The shower head also turns outward, so I had to hold it above my head when taking my shower. If they can change the mattresses, and fix the shower head direction issue this hotel would be comfortable. However, I would not stay again, as the most important factor for me is to be able to sleep. My visit was for work and I tossed and turned all night in the bed, so it made the hotel useless in my case. The phone in my room also did not work. I let the reception know but they didnt do anything to amend it. As a woman traveling solo for work, it made me very uncomfortable that I couldnt even call the front desk from my hotel room. Every time I needed something I used my Skype to call the front desk from an external line.

Hace 27 años, cuando tenía 15, estuve con mis padres y me enamoró. Ahora he vuelto y me sigue enamorando. Es una auténtica maravilla, tiene una excelente ubicación al lado del Casino de Estoril y de la playa, y ahora se le ha añadido un edificio moderno y la piscina nueva con borde infinito. El edificio principal es de finales del XIX. El personal excelente y los productos del baño son de una marca de cosmética marina que tiene la etiqueta Ecolabel, que otorga la Unión Europea. Tiene muebles y maniquíes vestidos con ropa de la época. Hay un ambiente Belle Époque inmejorable. Volveré sin duda,muchas más veces y sin que pase mucho tiempo.

No parking, literally. They have 7 street spots and 1 is wasted on a stupid hotel vehicle that is there for decoration.The hotel itself is really nice, but there’s no wash clothes and very few towels offered. Breakfast was good, coffee is terrible. Beds are like rock, but then again ALL the beds in Portugal were like that. We were a party of 6 with 2 rental cars and couldn’t get parking.. wouldn’t recommend based on that. You’ll drive around forever and have to lug suitcases a long way if you don’t score a coveted spot.Front desk check out was ridiculously slow.

It was an amazing stay complete with breakfast in their restaurant, roof top swimming pool and clean room. The room is open space with high ceiling. A short walk to the train station and around the corner from the casino. A nice stroll to Cascais and minutes away from the beach.

The hotel has great sympathy, nice building and facilities, but there are several points that should be considered as soon as possible: the elevator doors are with the floor loose with risks of guests stumble and fall, an absurd that a hotel of this category still exists this kind of problem, the employees seem that every minute a host almost falls and nobody acts. Horrible quality of the coffee, at breakfast those industrial machines that produce a terrifying acid coffee of poor quality. I asked the desk clerk to talk to the manager, who said he was not available so I asked to send my feedback. I was very upset to be in this hotel for almost fifteen days, and every morning I did not have the pleasure of having a decent coffee, the biggest wonder at the beginning of the day, starting the day with a good quality coffee. Advice, modern machines hygienic Nespresso capsules known worldwide in gastronomy and hospitality. The cleaning staff, screaming in the corridors of the hotel on a Sunday morning, this is no go. I was charged 28 euros for a plate of rice with duck, when I complained that the price was out of reality, I paid 16 euros the real price. They wanted to charge me about 10 euros a day for the rental fee of the safe in my suite, thats a absurd, I never heard an absurdity from paying a fee for the use of the safe inside the room. Hotel Inglaterra, my stay was long, but you urgently need to change all this, because I felt cheated and just wanted to leave.

We were on the first floor. Internet service was sporadic and they denied knowing of any problem. The bathroom smelled terrible; I hated using it. And the mattress on our double (king) bed was uncomfortable with some kind of noisy plastic wrapping instead of a proper mattress protector. Room was elegant and breakfast was 5 star.

Para noite de passagem de ano num Hotel 4 estrelas foi uma experiência muito negativa, comida horrivel, organização pior, a sala onde foi o jantar era o auditório com cadeiras de escritório que impossibilitaram as pessoas estarem perto da mesa.
Na transição do ano não houve contagem e os hóspedes tiveram de ligar os telemóveis para fazer a contagem.
A partir da 00h não serviram mais nada...
Enfim... Não voltarei de certeza e acredito que as cerca de 100 pessoas que lá estiveram também não.

Minha primeira experiência no Hotel Inglaterra foi inesquecível, tanto que retornamos para passarmos o Natal e o réveillon, entretanto vi uma diferença na parte do restaurante, notei a ausência da chefe? "INA" ...que promoveu dois eventos Natalinos bem acolhedores, unindo pessoas de outras nacionalidades e principalmente os Portugueses. Espero poder usufruir dos mesmos momentos nesse Natal.

El día 24 de noviembre fuimos de viaje a Portugal, en el Hotel Inglaterra, de Estoril, el Hotel parece un museo no un Hotel de cuatro estrellas, el primer día que llegamos que Hera las 10 de la noche y nos dijeron que teníamos la cena en la habitación había un plato de pasta frío y estaba agrio que nadie se lo comió, una botella de agua pequeña una botella pequeña de vino y un plátano, ustedes creen que esto es una cena, bueno dijimos mañana estará mejor la comida , el desayuno perfecto, pero el almuerzo y la cena horrible ni en los Hoteles de una estrella o pensión dan la comida tan mala, así que mucha gente no comía, solo la ensalada y además si quedaba comida del almuerzo la daban para la cena. Repetían las comidas arroz blanco al mediodía o pasta hervida , y así un día si y otro también , la carne solo ponían alas de pollo y si no unos trozos de carne pequeña que no se podía comer, un día pusieron una cosa que parecía una butifarra y solo tenia harina y un poco de carne picada. Mucha gente solamente comía el pan con aceite, y se termino el aceite al pedir mas dijeron que no les quedaba. Así que me compre jamón y fruta y la lleve al comedor, me dijeron que no podía llevar comida de fuera, les dije que tenia azúcar y no podía comer cada de postre melocotón o piña en almíbar.
Así que fuimos a reclamar con el gerente del Hotel y nos dijo que la comida que nos daban era la que habían pactado con mundo senior, y que teníamos que reclamar que lo hiciéramos a la compañía. Llame a Mundo Senior explicando el problema y la persona que me atendió, me dijo que tenía que ponerme en contacto con la guía que teníamos. La guía sola la vimos a la mañana siguiente de llegar para explicar las excursiones y no apareció hasta el día que hicimos una excursión, que solo faltaban dos días para irnos.

Estancia perfecta. Habitación muy espaciosa, cama cómoda, ducha también. Desayuno muy completo y con pan y tartas caseras. El personal increíblemente amable. No se les puede poner ni un pero.

Personnel aux petits soins (même les stagiaires sont très pro), petit déjeuner de très bonne facture, (bien que la salle soit petite), super piscine et même une petite salle de sport si vous voulez brûler un peu de graisse. Les chambres, comme l'hôtel sont décorées avec goût, et j'ai aimé la hauteur sous plafond (3m) et la clim très bien gérée.
L'hôtel est situé entre la plage et le casino, a coté d'une épicerie fine, une très bonne patisserie et une pizzeria stylée. Bref, nous avons passé une excellente semaine. J'ai apprécié le personnel réactif. c'est digne d'un 5 étoile.

Hemos estado cinco días muy a gusto: dos habitaciones, una de las modernas otra antigua. Hay diferencia...La antigua estaba tapizada en negro, con cortinas negras y pequeña... bastante deprimente. La habitación nueva, perfecta. La piscina es muy original y cómoda. El desayuno correcto. Bar de la piscina... mejorable y caro y de servicio lento ( a veces eterno). El personal es agradable y dispuesto a ayudar. La situación del hotel es perfecta, así que, seguro que volveré.

and attentive staff, however parking is dreadful, there is a small front drive area, for maybe 4 cars, we got a ticket for parking on the road, one evening, when the hotel said it was ok to park, they did NOT guide us, during our stay at all regards parking rules. Since April.we have been trying to pay it and still we have done all the portuguese parking department have asked several times over and still we are no way further on. Help...

Un buen hotel sin lugar a dudas. La ubicación muy buena ya que esta cerquita de la playa y de una parada del tren cercanías que te puede llevar hasta Lisboa hacia la izquierda o Cascais hacia la derecha por un precio bueno. También tienes el casino muy cerca. El hotel tiene una parte antigua con decoración al estilo inglés y una parte nueva con aire modernista pero todo bien conectado. Tiene una recepción con una sala muy acogedora para poder disfrutarla. El comedor se encuentra en la planta 0 donde también se encuentra el bar cafeteria aunque los precios me parecen algo elevados. El hotel también dispone de un zona pequeñita de gimnasio y de piscina al aire libre. Hay bicicletas de alquiler. En mi caso tenia contratado pensión completa y lo que más me gusto fue el desayuno. Todo fue buffet y muy bien atendido por los camareros con un trato agradable y profesional. Las habitaciones muy limpias y muy completas con mucho nivel detalle. Con una gran television(42 pulgadas) en mi caso, pequeño frigorífico y aire acondicionado.

Hotel simples com uma decoração clássica mas que chama a atenção, particularmente das crianças, proporcionando momentos de diversão. O quanto era agradável e o pequeno almoço também. Há uma máquina de fazer panquecas muito engraçada para os mais pequenos. O hotel tem alcatifa nos corredores e o cheiro característico da alcatifa, também.

Hotel de época, portanto com estilo antiquado, quase “palacial”. O quarto era espaçoso e com vista sobre o mar, com bom estado de conservação. O pequeno almoço bom embora sem muita variedade. A localização é óptima sobretudo para quem quiser frequentar o casino que fica apenas a metros de distância.

Perto da praia e do casino estoril. Boa internet, boa televisão, quarto espaçoso e luxuoso com igualmente uma boa varanda. A piscina está ótima para dar uns mergulhos e o pequeno almoço é de enorme qualidade e variedade. Infelizmente o ar condicionado não estava a funcionar.

Hotel muito bem decorado ao bom estilo da bela época francesa e com requinte cinematográfico americano. Staff moderadamente simpático. Estacionamento com 6 ou 7 lugares apenas. Os restantes na rua (aliás como em todo Estoril... bem como em todo o país praticamente) com parquímetro. Quarto bem decorado, mas a casa de banho carrega o peso dos muitos anos que o hotel tem. WC sem exaustor? Hum... Já não se usa... As varandas dos quartos com uma boa perspetiva do Estoril... E com o mar lá ao fundo
Por fim um pormenor... então o pequeno almoço não contempla charcutaria light? Onde está por exemplo os fiambres de peru ou frango... humm... e os pãezinhos de leite? Já tiveram melhores dias... Tipo os que se compram num supermercado com validade até 3 meses. Como dizia o outro... não havia necessidade... por vezes são esses pequenos pormenores que fazem a diferença...

Absolutely fabulous hotel .margarite the manager couldn't of been more helpful in fact all of the staff were kind ,friendly and helpful .the hotel furnishings ,food ,and rooms were beyond our expectations ,as stated in brochure ,no room or suite the same .each had its own unique character and were extremely comfortable and clean .I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Estoril

We booked suite .such a beautiful hotel .but bed cover was dirty,metris wasn't good and didnt have toilet paper .. so we asked change the bad cover .How they changed the bed cover is how they threw the blanket on the floor and changed the bed cover.(we were there) .....
Also Door handler wasn't good ..
And we cheked out they asked me about minibar .we didnt use any minibar but they doubt us (because we bought water from supermarket)
Even they dont know how many they have bottle of water..
Elevator also very scary
If you sensitive with sleep because quit noisy (you can hear every thing from next door )
But breakfast was good !that's why I gave this hotel 2 stars .

This is a beautiful hotel that was converted from a large house (mansion) and has been added to. The resulting floor arrangement is a bit confusing until you work out where everything is. They have retained most all of the original homes charm and the mannequins positioned on the outside of the building make it easily recognizable from a distance. The hotel is in easy walking distance of Estoril station and the beachfront. Cascais can also be reached on foot, and we walked there a number of times.Luis was very helpful in arranging our transport from Lisbon airport ahead of time via email and was on duty to welcome us. As we arrived late at night, this was a necessary expense. Traveling back to the airport during the daytime was easily done and a lot less expensive.We had a room in the original house with a view to the west towards the Estoril casino and Cascais.Breakfasts were well-presented and the staff very attentive.We would certainly chose to stay here again.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, great service.
Rooms are large, fresh and clean. Staff at the reception speak English very well. Some reviews mentioned bad coffee - yeah, I do have to agree with that. Breakfast was not all that but OK if you go early.
This is a boutique hotel, so there are some creepy mannequins displayed in the hallways as "art".

L'hôtel est bien placé, chambres spacieuses mais comme dans la plupart des hôtels portugais la salle de bain mériterait un meilleur aménagement plus pratique et surtout un éclairage plus adapté. Le service à table n'est pas chaleureux. La gare est à proche, vous pouvez aller à Cascais qui est à 5 mn en train pour 1,5€.

Muy buena atención. Desayuno incluido en la reserva. 103€ por noche. Hice la reserva con 6meses de antelación.. Aquí se paga un impuesto de 2 €por persona y noche. Que va a las arcas del ayuntamiento.

This is a lovely hotel! Friendly helpful staff, excellent food and beautiful rooms (stayed in the superior room in the new part of the hotel). Only downside was pool was very cold for the middle of summer! Highly recommend - breakfast is amazing!

Nous avons apprécié la gentillesse du personnel, sa disponibilité, la propreté,la decoration originale.Jai grandement apprécié le geste de letablissement pour mon anniversaire. Assez inattendu! Bouteille de vin petillant quelques pasteis de nata et des chocolats. Nous avons regretté que la carte du restaurant soit aussi limitée (pas de menu enfant et peu de legumes).

Hotel má čtyři hvězdičky, ale každý pokoj tomu neodpovídá. Měli jsme malý pokoj, ve kterém byly zazděné dva svody kanalizace, takže když někdo v horních patrech spláchl, bylo to u nás jako u splavu. Ráno a večer obvzlášť. Všechny kroky z pokoje nad námi byly slyšet. Naši známí naproti tomu měli prostorné dva pokoje se sedačkou, dvěma televizory. Pokoje byly nad sebou se schodištěm. Jinak je to starý hotel stylově zařízený, zřejmě nedávno zrekonstruovaný. Jídlo na švédských stolech bylo pestré a chutné. Personál upravený a profesionální. Tři hvězdičky dávám za náš pokoj, kdybych tu měl být déle než dva dny, trval bych na výměně.

What a beautiful hotel. Nothing was a problem for any staff members if you needed help. Quirky - very. Bedrooms absolutely wonderful and cleaning service was top notch. Breakfast was a delight and also offered a vino vherde or two. Selection of breakfast, either hot or continental was nicely displayed.

Está bien, pero las habitaciones de la parte moderna (en las que estuvimos el año pasado alojados), no tienen nada que ver con las que nos adjudicaron este año, y el baño muy pequeño.

Wonderful Hotel. Great location handy for beach and station. High standard rooms, very comfortable, we were provided with everything we needed. Staff are all excellent, nothing is too much trouble and they are all clearly happy in their work. Very good restaurant.
Highly recommended! We will be back. Thank you to all at the Inglaterra Estoril.

Stayed here last year, had a great time. In a quiet area, very nice and relaxed. Hotel was clean and staff helpful. A short walk to various restaurants and bars. The swimming pool is great.

A estadia no Hotel Inglaterra, através do voucher Odisseias - Hotéis de sonho, foi fantástica! As zonas comuns do Hotel são lindíssimas, desde os ambientes criados, o mobiliário, as peças de vestuário em exposição. Ficámos num quarto grande com uma vista espectacular sobre o Estoril e a zona ribeirinha, com imenso sol a alegrar os dias frios da primavera. Os pequenos almoços foram bastante completos e com imensas opções. E quero ainda destacar a simpatia, a delicadeza e a atenção que recebemos por parte de todos os colaboradores do hotel. Recomendo vivamente!

I loved this Hotel. We ended up changing our plans and leaving Lisbon early because we wanted to get closer to the beach and we are so glad we found this place. It was such an amazing and relaxing place to stay.

Stayed here (standard room) for 4 nights. It's a nice hotel but a bit too expensive for what you get.You pay for the neighbourhood, which is okay. Both the railway station and the beach with bars/Restaurant are a 5min walk. Rooms were okay but not amazing.., Big tv and nice bed. Our bathroom was extremely small though, not worth 4 stars. Breakfast was good and the small pool and terrace are great. Staff coukd be a little moe friendly. Keep in mind that there are only 7 parking spots for the whole hotel. When none left, you need to pay 8€ a day..

Requested a queen bed but was two beds pushed together. Breakfast is poor, many things available but none are particularly good, not even the traditional Portuguese products. Staff was friendly, location is good.Can hear all noises from the hallways, need to ask for a quiet room away from the highly trafficked hallway

A unique hotel, unlike any Ive stayed. Great breakfasts. Of course, youre likely to be sitting next to a table in which statue-people are holding hands. And look up from the street as you enter, and youll see another statue-person looking down at you. When the candles in the hall outside your room go out, you might wonder if ghosts are wandering.

Absolutely class! Stayed as part of a group for a football tournament and they couldn't have done any more to look after us. Perfect location at a short walk from food, transport and entertainment. Rooms were clean and of high standard.

Lhôtel Inglaterra était top en tout point. Nous avons passés un très bon séjour. Le seul hic était la literie. Nous navons pas tres Bien dormi mais ce nest quun petit détail par rapport au reste. Je vous recommande le tapis de sport. Il est génial !

Natalie and I stayed here for work. Amazing place and the pool is phenomenal. The staff is kind and even went to the Post Office for us. We heard negative reviews about the Old Hotel and to stay in the new portion. Well let me just say our room in the Old Hotel had fantastic views and was an outstanding sized room. Highly recommended!

Nice vintage hotel, with an old look and feel to it. I stayed in the new part of the hotel, in one of the superior rooms. The room was quite big, had a nice balcony and a modern and luxurious bathroom. Breakfast is a bit limited, as is the seating in the restaurant. Pool was relatively small, but enjoyable. Overall, a great hotel with a good atmosphere.

Lors de notre arrivée nous avons été reçu par le réceptionniste sans sourire est moyennement agréable le bagagistes nous a pris nos bagages et nous et les a ramenés dans notre chambre arriver dans notre chambre nous avons découvert des moisissures dans la salle de bain ce qui nest guère agréable pour un quatre-étoiles .Nous avons pris notre petit déjeuner jus dorange nétait pas fraîs, les oeufs que jai pris le matin mon rendu malade pendant plusieurs jours bref un petit déjeuner plus que moyen avec un choix limité.

Sotez avertis Nous avons eu un expérience très décevante à cet hôtel en plus davoir eu à débourser 100 cdn en plus du prix fixé pour les 2 enfants sinon le gérant Luis nous menaçait dappeler la police. Très sympathique comme accueille!! Nous avions réservé sur expédia pour un lit double et 2 lits simple arrivé là- bas il navait pas de lits denfant dans la chambre et le lendemain ils ont exigé un supplément très onéreux.

Hôtel agréable, situé à quelques minutes de la station de train desservant Lisbonne en 35 minutes. Une promenade le long de la mer permet daccéder à Cascais, jolie petite ville balnéaire, en une demi-heure. Le personnel de lhôtel a été courtois et discret. La chambre était claire, propre et suffisamment grande pour y circuler à laise. On compte peu de commerces et cafés animés à proximité; il faut aller en ville pour se distraire.

Bon hotel si on souhaite visiter lisbonne et profiter de la plage. A 5 min de la plage de estoril à pied, 30 min de lisbonne en train( tous les 20minutes). Piscine de lhôtel sympa. Petit déjeuner correct sauf pour les jus qui sont comme coupés à leau. La chambre dans laquelle nous étions à besoin dun rafraîchissement surtout au niveau de la salle de bain.

Globalement, hotel de beau standing, avec superbe terrasse et piscine à débordement.Déçus par les repas proposés : mauvais rapport qualité/prix et par la chambre: nous avions réserve une suite pour préserver notre intimité et ne pas être dans la même chambre que nos enfants, ce qui na pas été le cas.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit Zimmern teilweise im Art-Déco-Stil. Nettes und hilfsbereites Personal und gute Lage. Einziger Schwachpunkt: Zimmerwände sind (zumindest im alten Teil des Gebäudes) sehr hellhörig.

Auch, wenn das Wetter zu dieser Jahreszeit ( NOv.2012) nicht gerade ideal,d.h. sogar sehr regnerisch & relativ kalt war, haben wir eine sehr schöne Woche im Hotel Inglaterra verbracht. :) Personal, geschmackvolle Einrichtung in einem stilvollen Ambiente, die Lage des Hotels sowie die einwandfreie Sauberkeit in unserem Zimmer, haben uns absolut wohlfühlen lassen!!! Sicherlich wären noch ein paar Garderobenhaken hilfreich... und vielleicht eine kleine Extraablage im Bad... aber grundsätzlich ein guter Ort, um Lissabon und seine Umgebung kennenzulernen!!!p.s. die Preise im hauseigenen Restaurant sind allerdings völlig überteuert; das sollte sich unbedingt ändern.

Das Hotel war einfach und schnell zu finden. Parkplätze gibt es genügend auf den Seitenstreifen, diese sollten allerdings am späten Abend oder sehr frühen Morgen gefunden werden, denn unter der Woche werden diese von Pendlern benutzt, die den Zug nach Lissabon benutzen.Der Service ist sehr gut, die Zimmer sind sauber und ausreichend ausgestattet. Für gehbehinderte Menschen ist es etwas mühsam zu duschen.Das Frühstück ist typisch-britisch. Käse und Schinken sind immer die gleichen, dafür gibt es leckere Marmeladen, frisches geschnittenes Obst, Säfte und Vollkornbrötchen. Obendrein kann sich jeder ein individuelles Müsli zusammenstellen.Alles in allem waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und können dies an alle Reisenden, die nicht die höchsten Ansprüche an Hotels stellen, gerne weiterempfehlen.

Reisezeitraum: Juli 2012, 9 TageReise als Paar (26-29J)Das Hotel bietet ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, jedoch zeigt es auch in manchen Teilen kleine Schwächen. Es ist insgesamt sauber und bequem, in manchen Ecken fehlt es etwas an Liebe zum Detail. Insgesamt ist das Zimmerkonzept jedoch sehr gelungen, man fühlt sich auf Anhieb wohl.Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und war uns sehr behilflich bei Reservierungen und beim Versenden unserer Postkarten.Lediglich das Frühstück ist absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Die angebotenen Speisen sind meist einfache und nicht besonders schmackhafte Fertigprodukte und es gab ausnahmslos an jedem Tag das gleiche. Die Bar für abends ist zudem unserer Ansicht überteuert.Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Hotel insgesamt sehr genossen und würden es - bis auf die kleinen Einschnitte - auch weiter empfehlen.

Das Hotel Inglaterra hat seine besten Zeiten hinter sich. In einigen Bereichen wurde versäumt, rechtzeitig zu investieren. Der alte Charme ist zwar noch zu erkennen, allerdings zeigen sich inzwischen einige Mängel, die nicht zu einem vier Sterne Hotel passen (knarrende, zum Teil nicht schließende Türen; fleckige, verschlisseneTeppichböden, keine aktuellen Zeitungen).

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal.Lage ist ok.Strand ist zu Fuß erreichbar.Restaurants,ein kleiner Supermarkt in laufbarer Nähe .Frühstück ist in Ordnung.Pool haben wir nicht genutzt.Für eine Kombireise Stadt /Strand zu empfehlen.

We stayed two nights at this hotel. I would not rate it a 4*. The beds were not very comfortable, small. lumpy pillows, bathrooms needs an update, towels need replacing (mine had a hole in it). The general feel of the place is dreary, the hard area round the pool is not very attractive, water was cold, the garden is utilitarian rather than pretty. The staff are very willing and polite, and also very helpful. I found Estoril quite quiet and would have preferred to stay in nearby Caiscais, where there are more shops, restaurants and things going on.
