Ich war schon mehrfach in der Nebensaison (November/Februar) im Rocamar und jedes mal sehr begeistert. Das Hotel ist sehr nett von der Aufmachung her. Aufgrund der Nebensaison hat das Hotelpersonal daraufhin gewiesen dass Arbeiten am und im Hotel statt finden, aber das haben wir als Gast nie gemerkt. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch. Es kommen sogar Gäste aus anderen Hotels um dort zu Frühstücken. Die drei unterschiedlichen Bars/Restaurants ergänzen sich sehr gut zu dem Hotel.

Spent ten wonderful, happy days here at Rocamar, at the end of May 2019. Our room overlooked the street, which was great we caught the afternoon sun on our balcony, sunlight until mid evening. Breakfast is an all you can eat feast, the food both plentiful and tasty. You can, if you wish, eat outdoors on the esplanade. The staff that we met and spoke to were polite, and well informed about local places of interest etc. Access to the beach is down a winding pathway, or by using the near by elevator. The old town centre is not too far away, there you will find countless bars, cafes and restaurants. My wife and I liked it so much that we have booked a return visit in October/November.

No free coffee available all day. No coffee maker in room. Room very, very basic. Although did have a nice beach gfront view However, this time of year no sunset or sunrise visible from room balcony. Staff was mixed We had some great customer service and some terrible. But Superior customer service is not stessed enough. Parking is on your own good luck on public streets . It is within walking distance of just about everything you'll need . Seems like most guest either spoke Russian orfron U K. The breakfast had a good selection but was very basic in quality . Place was ok , very basic amenities and not worth the $135USD paid for room.

Roca tapasbar is geweldig! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Shefkok is mishelin ster ook, prijs-kwaliteit is super. Alles is met talent en liefde gemaakt, prima!

Aardig hotel op een perfecte locatie (als je aan de goede kant zit met je kamer). Wij zaten aan de achterkant en iedere ochtend werd de vuilnis geleegd met een enorme herrie om 05.30u! Kamer netjes en schoon, goede douche, te weinig stopcontacten. Kluisje gebruiken (EUR 2,50 extra neertellen per nacht). Op een avond wilden we een kurkentrekker lenen om een flesje wijn te openen. De ober van het restaurant wilde het niet uitlenen, ook niet als ik zelf de fles met de kurkentrekker zou open maken. 'Er hangen hier camera's waarmee wij in de gaten worden gehouden, wij mogen niks uitlenen, als ik dat doe verlies ik mijn baan en ik verdien maar 600 EUR in de maand'. Vreemd, het overigens perfecte Indische restaurant naast het hotel maar gevraagd onze fles open te maken, geen probleem, tuurlijk!. Ook nog gevraagd twee glazen te lenen voor op de kamer bij de bar. Ook niet. Dan maar uit onze plastic bekertjes... Ook nog gevraagd bij de receptie, de receptionist kon absoluut ook niks voor ons regelen. Heel raar allemaal. Ontbijt is goed, verder ook allemaal okee, alleen koffie moet je ergens anders halen. Is niet te doen.

Würden wir nur die Lage des Hauses bewerten, gäbe es, wegen des traumhaften Blicks aufs Meer und den Peneco Strand, 5 Sterne für dieses Hotel. Da aber ein großer Teil der (kleinen) Zimmer Blick nach hinten haben und darüber hinaus dort eine stark befahrene Straße vorbeiführt, kann die Bewertung nicht gut ausfallen. Erschwerend kommt nach dazu, dass der Essensraum zu klein ist, so dass man u. U. (wenn's voll ist) sehr unfreundlich hinaus komplimentiert wird! (So uns mehrfach passiert) Mit dem gebuchten Essen HP (Frühstück und Abendessen) waren wir zufrieden. Da wir "nur" ein "normales" DZ über Jahn Reisen gebucht hatten erhielten wir natürlich kein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Auf Anfrage teilte uns der Manager mit, dass wir ein Zimmer mit Meerblick für 24 € (pro Tag!!!) dazubuchen könnten. Ganz schön unverschämt, wie wir meinen! Das hätte uns in den 3 Wochen sagenhafte 500 € Aufschlag gekostet! Wir haben dankend abgelehnt! Übrigens; der auf den Fotos abgebildete "Pool", ist ein Planschbecken, mehr nicht! Das Haus hat kaum deutsch sprechendes Personal, da es seit ewigen Zeiten auf Engländer eingestellt ist! Wir waren einmal hier; das hat gereicht!

Prima kamers met zeezicht. Dichtbij centrum en strand uitstekend ontbijt. Alleen de koffie bij ontbijt is een aanslag op laag en darmen . Verder alles prima. Vriendelijk personeel. Dagelijkse schoonmaak

Chambre vue mer suberbe, mais avons vu un cafard (sur 4 jours sur place) dans la salle de bain.
Petit déjeuner varié et plutôt bon, mais ne recommandons pas le restaurant.

Very nice and cozy little hotel in the heart of the Old Town in Albufeira. What to say about the pool and the bar upstairs? Gorgeous views over the Peneco and Fishermen's beach. The rooms are small but very clean. The breakfast is to amazing. Buffet and you can order eggs on your way.

Personne très serviable. Hôtel propre, belle décoration. Les chambres sont propres, certaines avec balcons. La piscine surplombe la mer , des places pour se poser sur les transats. Accès direct à la plage via l'hôtel. Très bien situé dans la ville. La salle du petit déjeuner est jolie et a une vue sur la plage. Le spa est sympa mais il faut réserver le créneau il n'est pas en accès libre.

Excellent place to start your vacation. Make sure you have a room with seaview. The breakfast is good, forget the coffee !Rocamar is just a few minutes away from the old centre with a lot of restaurants and bars. Try the seafood, you will not find it for that price at home. Lot of souvenirshops and no rush just take your time...Enjoy Albufeira..

One of my favorite boutique design hotel above the Old Town in Albufeira, modern, close to all amenities, restaurant and bar open to public along the promenade, so always interesting, adult only!! Spectacular views, lovely Spa

Mooi hotel alleen hele stugge medewerkers. Totaal niet vriendelijk vond ik. Kamer was redelijk met te weinig stopcontacten om stroom te krijgen. Op de tv kon je geen HDMI aansluiten om je chromecast te gebruiken. Bedden waren oké. De kamers mogen wel gerenoveerd worden.

We booked this hotel last minute, without much research before, that was a big mistake. Our room was labelled as a "superior double" room. Superior in this case was only the disappointment and disgust.
What met us at the reception was an unfriendly midle-aged women that seemed shocked that we would even dear to ask where the hotel parking is (there is none). My girlfriend had to ask twice for someone to help with the luggage, first the guy denied with the proposal to make two trips.
The room itself is small with tile floor and looks tired and dated. The overall cleanliness is o.k. The real treat is the AC, which is placed on the balcony. It is super loud an takes up a lot of space on the already small balcony. Using the AC and staying outside at the same time is impossible.
The breakfast was decent, staff again unfriendly, apart from the guy making excellent pancakes.
Overall very unpleasant, the location is great but that's it. If the room was priced at around 70 euros it would be fair.

Nos íbamos a sentar 4 personas y una d ellas pregunto x el baño y el dijo que el baño era para los clientes el chico l dijo y yo q doy y el nos dijo un paseante
Con lo cual nos fuimos sin consumir nada
Yo creo que así no se hacen clientes
Pero como no tenía ganas de trabajar a el ya l iba bien

Perfect location with excellent beach views. The infinity pool is very nice and the deck gets sun all day. Breakfast served from 8 until 10 am and offers good variety (and foods are fresh). Staff are friendly if you are friendly. Rooms are cleaned daily and toiletries topped up when needed. Budget rooms are not provided with coffee making facilities (???), but do have a small fridge. Budget rooms are excellent value for money, book in advance. Downside is the infinity pool is your communal decking area too...no privacy and you can't open your window without being in the public eye. Air con is good. TV gets some good channels. Room is spacious and comfortable. Towels are good quality and changed regularly. The hotel is quiet all the time and is adults only. Wifi is excellent. Reception provide a map and directions if asked. Bus stops nearby. Near to elevator to beach. A very good hotel. (But the plastic cups in the bathroom are very cheap and break very easily when you try and take the plastic covering off them, false economy.)

Absolut zufrieden! Die Lage ist meiner Meinung nach Perfekt. Man ist in nicht mal 5 Minuten mitten in der gemütlichen oder auch zu späterer Stunde sehr interessanten Altstadt. Das Personal - Das Hotel hat mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen - ein kleines Hotel aber alles absolut übersichtlich. Vom Essen kann ich lediglich das Frühstück beurteilen was für meinen Geschmack absolut ausreichend war. Sehr zu empfehlen

Lovely hotel, very modern, with views of the ocean. The breakfast was really nice with plenty different options. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool isn't big or deep but it's very nice to have, the are plenty of long chairs and there are some private areas.
Rooms are good size and bed very comfortable ! Would recommend and come back :-)

Wij zaten op de 5e verdieping strandzicht, hadden een schone kamer met goed bed. Diner buffet is inderdaad wat minder maar a la card is prima. Het personeel lijkt misschien niet vriendelijk maar als je contact zoekt/ maakt zijn ze echt wel vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

+Schöner Ausblick zum Meer.
-Zimmer total veraltet.
-Frühstücksbuffet naja.
+Nähe zum Stadtzentrum sehr gut.
- Steckdosen im Zimmer sind Mangelware
- Poolbereich sehr klein und der Pool selber ist ziemlich niedrig.
+ Strand echt riesig und gepflegt in der Hauptsaison aber trotzdem extrem voll.
Fazit:
Ob das Hotel 4 Sterne würdig ist bezweifel ich sehr.

Unser Zimmer auf der Rückseite war leider ziemlich abgewohnt. Schäden an Wand und Badezimmer. Matratzen extrem hart und unbequem.
Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig war aber nicht dreckig.
Der Balkon war durch die Rückseite leider wenig einladend.
Der Safe kostet pro Tag 2.50€!
Bisher das teuerste Hotel in dem Thema unserer Hotelerfahrungen.
Das Personal spricht ganz wenig deutsch. Gute Englischkenntnisse sind hier von grossem Vorteil, da in ganz albufeira kaum welche deutsch sprechen.
Hauptsächlich sind hier Briten und Niederländer in diesem Hotel.
Leider geben viele der Gäste dieses Hotels wenig auf Respekt anderer um nachts Ruhe zu wahren. Es war nachts oft ausserordentlich laut was auch leider vom Nachtwächter nicht sehr beachtet worden ist oder gar von der Rezeption.
Die Müllabfuhr kam fast jeden Tag um 2:30 nachts um den Müll abzuholen. Natürlich nicht auf leise Art und Weise.
Der Service im Restaurant war, bis auf eine Ausnahme, freundlich.
Die Dame vom Spa hatte es mit den Zeiten nicht sehr genau.
Das Essen in Form eines Buffet für Halb oder Vollpension ist leider schlecht gewesen. Wenig Auswahl wenig liebe wenig Abwechslung.
Essbar war es aber allemal.
Frühstück war ok. Standart Britisch.
Preise sind moderat bis etwas teuer.
Wir werden dieses Hotel leider nicht wirklich weiter empfehlen, da es nachts einfach viel zu laut ist.
Sehr sehr schade!

El hotel no se merece 4 estrellas, 2 como mucho. El personal en general son maleducados y pasan olímpicamente de todos los huéspedes que no son guiris.
Está situado a pie de playa, si eso es verdad, pero esta comodidad no supera los puntos negativos del servicio.

Este hotel como os outros da mesma rede de hotelaria são uma vergonha,pois tanto o patrão como o pessoal dos recursos humanos e os rececionistas do mesmo hotel,obrigam os funcionários que estão de baixa pelo seguro ou pelo o médico de família, a,irem trabalhar ou serão despedidos, esta situação já se repetiu várias vez com a minha esposa este ano,nesse hotel,é uma vergonha,porque o tempo da escravidão já acabou há muitos anos.

The view from the restaurant is beautifull. But the waiter was not competent, not able to speak english, neither not able to get information on the dish content. He was more concentrated in talking to the young girls around.

Room clean with air con. Bathroom clean with new fittings but nowhere to put toiletries. Some staff friendly, others not. Breakfast was reasonable (freshly made pancakes were great). Hotel is in a great location and is very quiet.

No está mal el hotel para estar en el pueblo de Portugal, y digo pueblo porqe eso es lo qe es, Albufeira, un sitio saturado de giris, y la Comida nefasta para mi gusto,, comida rápida en la mayoría de los bares, y la comida portuguesa qe no es de mi agrado, me aconsejaron mucho venir a veranear a este lugar, pero no volveré,, es un Benidor portugues,, pero nada qe ver con los hoteles y las comidas de mi España querida, vamos!!! Sin lugar a dudas prefiero benidor qe lo tengo aquí al lado,, antes de albufeira,, comida, bebida y ambiente saturado de giris

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, colazione abbondante molto anglosassone, ho anche provato il ristorante assaggiando un piatto di Bachalau, cucinato in modo eccellente. Il prezzo del ristorante adeguato alla vista, nel centro cittadino si spende ugualmente molto ma si mangia probabilmente peggio e la location non è sicuramente migliore, anzi... Lo consiglio

Zimmer in der 1. Etage mit "Terrasse" zu einer Gemeinschaftsterrasse ..... keine Privatsphäre oder Sicherheit... selbst das Hotel hat Aufkleber angebracht, dass man die Balkontüren geschlossen halten soll ... man kann weder tags noch nachts die Balkontüren offen lassen und schlafen
das Zimmer hatte nachts ein nicht lokalisierbares störendes Geräusch (Wasser oder Lüftung). Die Rezeption hat trotz Bitte kein anderes Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt.
Rezeption sehr unfreundlich .... schon beim Einchecken gab es Probleme und später beim nicht erfolgten Zimmerwechsel.
Das "Fitnesscenter" ist ein Loch und auch nur nutzbar, wenn der "Spa" Bereich geöffnet sind.
"Spa" Bereich nur stundenweise mit Reservierung nutzbar ... also weniger als 10 Zimmer pro Tag.....
Das Hotel sollte nicht mit Spa im Namen werben, denn es ist keines.
Badezimmer sollten besser gereinigt werden.
Frühstück ist ok, wenn man vom ungeniessbaren Kaffee absieht

Well located for the old town and the many restaurants and bars with the beech accessible by lift or on foot. The hotel offered comfort and excellent facilities with spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was a highlight with good selection to cater for all tastes and the staff were brilliant. Bra hotell, stille og rolig, kort vei til det meste. Litt slitne rom og senger. Bad var ok. En sur resepsjonist trekker ned. Kranglet med flere gjester. Vi måtte krangle for å få to plastglass til på rommet.

This is the most rude and over price hotel I have ever been too. Its a dated hotel, not a 4 star hotel. The staff at reception are rude, no friendly smile you would expected on arrival. The wall must be very thin as you are not allow to play soft slow music. You will get threats you will get thrown out by security So be warned!!
The seaview room I paid for you will get this high wall blocking your view while you sit down on the chair.
If you want a old towel for the tiny pool at the hotel you have to give 30 euros for holding deposit.
To be honest I have been much more better hotel than this for money I have pay for would better treatment.
The beds are very uncomfortable you wake up with back pains and I'm average built guy.
Only good thing I can say is the the location is good in the old town for the beach and all the restaurants and bars.
If you don't like moody staff here, Your best bet is to find a more friendlier hotel as we will never set foot here again..

The room 332 was ok not worth the money, the toilet floor was dirty between the fake tiles the grout between the red tiles around the bath/ shower was black in places mould I presume and this was an upgrade. The cooked breakfast was cold every morning, the reception,bar,housekeeping staff are very friendly location great. Would I stay here again no

Die Zimmer waren schön und wir hatten auch eine Terrasse mit 2 Liegestühlen.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, als meiner Freundin eine Kette zwischen die Holzbretter des Fußbodens beim Pool fiel wurde dieser sofort aufgeschraubt um die Kette zu holen, vielen Dank.
Das absolute Highlight war der Infinity Pool.
Super Ausblick über den Strand und die Stadt.
Einziger Mangel war das Frühstück, dass komplett auf englische Urlauber abgestimmt ist und nicht sehr vielfältig war. Jedenfalls nicht für ein 4*Hotel

Creio que é o hotel em Albufeira com a melhor vista da praia. Ficar no deck ou na piscina observando a praia é fantástico. Gostei muito da minha estadia aqui.
Pontos positivos:
- Equipe de atendimento é a mais simpática que já vi em um hotel.
- O deck é muito bom de ficar. A vista é incrível, o sol bate boa parte do dia... É um paraíso.
- A piscina com vista para praia é única!
- Café da manhã incluído, e é bom (mas tem defeitos; veja abaixo).
- Os sabonetes e shampoos são os melhores que já vi em um hotel. São da marca Rituals!
Pontos negativos
- O café de máquina do café da manhã é muito, mas mesmo muito ruim. Café de máquina geralmente é ruim, mas esse é horrível.
- Os travesseiros são horríveis, acho que os piores que já vi. Acordamos com dor de cabeça algumas vezes. A cama não é incrível, mas é razoável.
- Meu quadro não possuía chaleira para aquecer água, que é tenho visto em todos os hotéis mesmo mais baratos.
- O cofre é pago.
Uma questão menor que não chega a ser ponto negativo: cheiro de baunilha na recepção é muito forte, não sei como os funcionários aguentam.
Por último, uma observação importante: alguns quartos vista mar não tem varanda, mas tem uma porta de vidro que vai direto ao deck público. Por um lado há menos privacidade (ainda que possas fechar a cortina), mas por outro são os únicos quartos com espreguiçadeiras exclusivas. No fim das contas, achei que valeu a pena pois as espreguiçadeiras são bem concorridas.
No geral, gostei muito da estadia e voltaria a me hospedar!

Funcionários grosseiros na recepção, falta de comodidades nos apartamentos, toalhas de banho muito velhas, minibar muito ruidoso,dificuldade para descer com a bagagem do carro pois não tem uma vaga para embarque e desembarque como em outros hotéis. Einfach eine top Lage ! Direkt am Strand und 100 m und die Altstadt beginnt. Das Personal durchaus freundlich wenn auch zurückhaltend. Pool am Dach sehr sauber und gepflegte Dachterrasse. Das Frühstück könnte etwas üboger ausfallen und der Kaffee ist einfach sehr sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig. Grundsätzlich ist alles da was man braucht. Zum Abendessen kann ich leider nicht sagen wir waren immer auswärts essen. 4 Sterne gibt es wegen der absolut guten Lage. Für 5 Uhr ist das Frühstück leider zu dürftig.

Lovely position and friendly staff. Stayed for 4 nights had no issues at all. Hotel is fairly new and is by far the newest in the area. The big bonus is that it's not to far from the old town, which means it's quiet at night time. Lovely sea view and the beach is lovely and clean. Best restaurant/bar was Eddies bar just around the corner from the hotel. Lovely place to visit and well priced.

We loved our stay at the Rocamar. This hotel has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. Good food, clean rooms, dining and separate bar area. Also outside seating with ocean views. It is within walking distance to all other dining as well as the beach and shopping. It also has a pool which was a bit too cold for when we stayed but it would be nice if the weather was warmer. Thank you Portugal, we hope to be back some day.

Zware teleurstelling !!! We hebben twee nachten geboekt maar stappen na 1 nacht op. Hoewel onze verwachtingen niet eens hoog lagen, we boekten namelijk een goedkope kamer. Vriendelijkheid van personeel liet te wensen over. En dat staat toch los van de kamer die je boekt ( zou ik denken ). Bed op kamer : je voelt er de veren door. Slecht geslapen en rugpijn tot gevolg ! Deze opmerking komt blijkbaar meermaals terug in andere reviews. ( had ik maar op voorhand gecheckt ). Links laten liggen of boek zeker één van de duurdere kamers !

Stayed from the 4th to 11th April 2018 in room 318Room is located at the corner of the hotel with a very large bathroom and good size bedroom.Room has air conditioning which was not required this time.Has as small fridge for keeping those essential drinks cold.A room safe also available for 15 euros per week.Rooms are cleaned daily.However that view is not near as good as in previous years we have stayed.Did not like the partial view overlooking a garden area which is is used for a dog toilet.Bins were full from the day we arrive till we left and although there seems to be a security guard on duty at times, nobody seems to take responsibility for its upkeep.Seating around this area may attract people during the summer months which may create a noise issue.There does seem to be security gates at both entrances but they remained open during our visit.We will be staying at the Rocamar again in October 2018 and hope not to be given rooms in that part of the hotel.Breakfast is served from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and is pretty repetitive but that is not a criticism,everyone seems catered for.And they have an amazing coffee machine.

Waardeloze bediening. Lijkt wel of ze haast hebben om ons er weer uit te krijgen. Eten is doorbakken en hard. Service is ronduit slecht. Geen tip gegeven en dat werd even openlijk tege elkaar vermeld.

Zentrale ruhige Lage mit schoener Aussicht, im Allgemeinen ansprechend eingerichtet. Allerdings weichen die Zimmer (Meer Blick empfehlenswert) davon ab. Sind renovierungsbedurftig, nur maessig sauber, das Bad sehr beengt ( keine Ablagemoeglichkeit u. Steckdose). Speisesaal versprüht Kantinenambiente, Frühstück geschmacksneutral, Kaffee nicht genießbar. Personal unfreundlich und wenig motiviert (Ausnahme Rezeption und Putzfrau ). Keine Parkplätze, für Raucher nicht geeignet, winziger Poolbereich. Als Gast fuehlt man sich geduldet, nicht willkommen. Maximal für einen Kurzurlaub geeignet.

El hotel en sí está bien pero no cubre las 4 estrellas que dice tener.
La habitación es amplia y luminosa. Las camas son un poco incómodas ya que son de muelle. El cuarto de baño es pequeño aunque tiene de todo. Nosotros en pleno san Valentín tuvimos acceso gratuito a jacuzzi y gym. El desayuno buffet es casi continental. Los camareros y personal siempre atentos aunque no hablan ESPAÑOL. La playa super cerca. El hotel en gral. está para 3 estrellas muy bien puestas. Volvería en otra ocasión. Por poner una pega a la ciudad, es que a la entrada de los establecimientos te encuentras a los RRPP que, sino te convencen, te medio obligan a entrar a éste.

Fantastic hotel, spottlessly clean and modern. Great breakfast selection. Stunning views of the beach and sea (obviously from the sea view rooms). Some balconies only get the sun at certain times of the day though.The only other thing we were disappointed with was no coffee / tea making facilities in the rooms.....why they don't do this I just don't know. Also fantastic location to 'the square'. All in all a great hotel with a minor fixable annoyance.

Muito mau, quartos muito pequenos com aspecto de velhos. Casa de banho minúscula, recepcionista sem capacidade para resolver problemas. Quarto com climatização avariada. Pequeno almoço muito fraco e só começam a servir a partir da 8 horas. Experiência a não repetir.

For the amount of money spent I was very unhappy that we had 2 twin beds pushed together, especially when they wouldn’t stay together. On vacation and my boyfriend and I couldn’t even sleep together. The receptionists were very rude and showed no interest in helping us solve our problems. Very small shower. Downstairs in the resteraunt area smelled horrible every time we passed through. Like dirty bathrooms. We didn’t eat the free breakfast because the food was not of good quality. The hot tub was not hot at all. We had no idea the spa was going to be so ridiculously expensive. Overall very disappointed that I spend money on this hotel when I’m sure I could have gotten a better one for cheaper.

Séjour du 30/10 au 04/10 avec autre un couple d'ami. Nous avons adoré l'hôtel Rocamar. Le personnel est sympathique et professionnel!
Chambre spacieuse au dernier étage avec vue incroyable sur la magnifique plage de Albufeira
Idéalement situé, proche du centre animé sans les inconvenients du bruit
Petit déjeuner varié salé ou sucré pris depuis la terrasse. Bar avec de délicieux cocktails
Piscine vue mer....bref tout était parfait
Prix très attractif pour début novembre.Météo au top nous nous sommes baignés

Het speciale vh hotel is de ligging en het uitzicht. ontbijten met zicht op zee, erg mooi. Rest is gewoon normaal, niets bijzonders. Wel kleine douche, met weinig ruimte. Bed lag heerlijk. Als je eten besteld, is de zalmburger en de garnalen een echte aanrader.

The only reason I didn't give it one star was because of the location. poor service, uncomfortable bed, dirty walls in our room with chipped paint. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we were told we had a renovated room and when we asked to speak to the manager we were ignored.
Love the city and would recommend visiting, just not at this property.

Powiem, napiszę, to od serca. Z hotelu to może i byłem nie zadowolony, a to że stary i gdzie niegdzie tynk odpada i rdzę widać, windy stare, drzwi do łazienek to o młodości już dawno zapomniały, ale no właśnie...
Hotel ma naprawdę wiele atutów. Położenie rewelacyjne tuż nad plażą, śniadania smaczne (byliśmy tam trzy dni), pokoje czyste. Do starego centrum, pełnego pijanych głośnych angoli, bardzo blisko ale położenie hotelu jest tak fajne, że nie dociera nawet szmer. Obiekt położony jest na skraju nadbrzeżnej promenady przez co owi podpici synowie Albionu tu nie docierają. Zarazem jest z tąd blisko do spokojnych klimatycznych knajpek. Polecam.

Wonderful stay!The hotel is basically on the beach and whitin walking distance from the city centre.The Sea view upgrade is definitely worth it! The rooms have rather new furniture even if it's not the highest quality. The beds are comfortable and the blackout blinds are very helpful considering the rooms are facing East. The entire hotel is very clean. The bathroom toiletries are Rituals - nice touch!If you want to use the safe, it's €2.5 per day. If you need a beach towel, you need to leave a €30 deposit. I haven't used the Spa - there was a girl every morning in front of the restaurant but she looked so angry that I haven't actually asked anything; also, you can have a massage on the beach for c€20 for 30' (April 2017) - that girl actually smiles.In terms of staff, the concierge were great whilst the restaurant staff was rather rude and definitely not welcoming.Would I go back? Yes - great location, good quality, good value!

Location is great, room was what I expected, great views, clean. Wifi terrible, front desk staff a bit unfriendly. Breakfast buffet okay, didnt try the dinner buffet with all the restaurant choices in the area. Pool nice, small, but no chance to experience, as there are so few deck chairs. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Booked for a girls short break. Hotel was in great location and staff helpful. Not an awful lot of area around the pool for sunbathing as a number of large bookings were staying at the same time. Was great for our girly hol for 6 though but possibly not for couples. Need to be social people to stay here.

The Rocamar has a great beach location with stunning sea views from the balcony.Stayed for 12 days from 3rd to the 15th of AprilRoom 402 is spacious enough but has a very small bathroom and if you are a person of the larger varietythe shower cubicle is going to be a problem,the bathroom door does not even fully open as thedoor hits the toilet, luckily this was not a problem for me or my wife.This was our 3rd visit to the Rocamar and we will most certainly return here.The location from the square means it has a quiet location also.Breakfast is a bit repetitive but plentiful.Overall a great stay.

Das schicke Hotel steht nahe an einem Wohnviertel in dem größtenteils Portugiesen zu Hause sind und am westlichen Ende des hübschen Sandstrandes. Der ist direkt über eine Treppe zu erreichen. Das Restaurant liegt im untersten Stock an einem Spazierweg. Das macht den Charme aus. Morgens draußen in der Sonne frühstücken mit Blick übers Meer, Einheimische eilen zur Arbeit, Möwen schreien auf dem Geländer sitzend. Cool!Anschließend auf Klippen oder im Hinterland wandern oder am Strand relaxen und abends in 2 Minuten in der Altstadt bummeln. Das ist Urlaub!

Rooms are fairly basic although nice, could do with some updating to suit the rest of the hotel!Far enough from the old town to avoid noise pollution, but only a short walk away!No tea/coffee facilities, would have been nice to have that in the room.Some staff were a bit short but most were friendly.Loved the pool area! Great in the morning sun.

Very clean, modern hotel. It's next to the beach which has a lift to it close by. We had a great view from our room of the beach, sea and town. The staff, service and food are excellent. It's about a 5 minute walk to the town square. This hotel should be rated better than a 3 star, and we will be going back

The Rocamar is in a great location, just far enough from the centre of the old town to avoid noise, but a short walk to join all the fun. I have been twice now, the staff are friendly and polite, the breakfasts are buffet style, with plenty of choice. I was in room 124 which has loungers and decking. I can,t praise this hotel enough, and look forward to going back many times.

A very attractive hotel, well sited high up overlooking a beautiful beach and with extensive views along the coast. It is a short walk into the old town with shops and eating places, but with a bit of a climb back up to the hotel.Could not fault the facilities - plenty of places to relax. the one aspect we would criticise was the vegetables, which were few in number, often tinned and served in an inch of water. A shame because the rest of the food was quite good in quality and variety.

Das Hotel liegt interessant und die Zimmer zum Meer sind ok, die zur Straße sehr laut und die Klimaanlage sehr schmutzig von innen !Pilz ist sofort zu sehen !Sehr muffige Luft im Korridor, es sind keine Fenster dort.Alles in einem Es geht für ein paar Tage aber nicht länger.

wir haben unseren Urlaub in diesem Hotel schon auch genoosen, hatten uns allerdings von dem Zimmer mehr erhofft und waren vom Frühstück enttäuscht. wir haben ein zimmer aus der günstigen Preiskategorie gebucht und mussten uns folglich eine mini-Terasse mit anderen Gästen teilen. das Bad war zwar geräumig, aber es gab nur eine kleine Badewanne, die nicht täglich gereinigt wurde. Das Frühstück war sehr fettig mit wenig frischen Zutaten und Dosenobst. Die Lage des Hotels ist allerdings so gut, dass wir es wohl wieder buchen würden, allerdings ein grösseres Zimmer wählen würden.

Das Hotel liegt super direkt fußläufig zur Altstadt aber doch weg vom Trubel. Der Blick aufs Meer ist kaum zu toppen. (Sonnenaufgang inklusive) Das Zimmer bietet guten 3-Sterne Standard mit bequemem Bett, großem Kleiderschrank und etwas - der Meernähe geschuldeten - Abnutzungserscheinungen.Das Personal ist sehr nett und bemüht, den Gästen alles recht zu machen und bei kleinen Beanstandungen abzuhelfen, ohne dabei devot zu wirken.Das Abendessen als Option spontan zubuchbar zu vernünftigen Preisen (10,- €) ist ein redliches Angebot und qualitativ gut. Frühstück ist landestypisch bzw. am englischen Publikum orientiert aber mit Obst und Müsli bietet es auch etwas für den Deutschen Gaumen. Die Bar bietet ein gutes Getränke und Cocktailangebot zu vernünftigen Preisen und ab und zu Lifemusik.Was richtig störte war, dass nach wenigen Tagen eine Gruppe deutscher Pauschaltouristen anreiste und das Hotel quasi übernehm. Grupppen stören einfach häufig, so auch hier. Ohne diese Gruppen wäre das mein optimales Hotel für den Kurzurlaub.

Laccueil à la réception a été plutôt froid ou impersonnel, il est en de même pour quelques serveurs du restaurant. Sinon lhôtel est superbe, les chambres magnifiques avec un balcon du côté mer. La situation de lhôtel est idéale, près du centre et de la plage.

Wir kommen immer wieder gerne hierher, alleine wegen der traumhaften Lage. Das Hotel wurde zwischenzeitlich auch recht ansprechend renoviert und das Frühstück wurde erweitert. Allerdings ist ein Großteil des Personals nach wie vor unfreundlich.
