Personnel très sympa et accueillant. Bons petits dejeuners salés sucrés. Très belle vue et un joli parc . Possibilités tennis. Soins massages. hammam sauna piscine intérieure à 30° salle de sport. Jeux dont grands échecs... piscine extérieur à débordement. Bien placé. Une voiture de location est un bon plus pour visiter. Suite très confortable. Seul gros gros bémol: le ménage. (3 ☆ seulement) Je recommande quand même mais demandez. Très peu de français...parlez anglais

Wasn't blown away but its still a great place.

Es un hotel muy agradable cerca de la playa y a un paseo del pueblo de Carvoeiro un pueblo que hay de todo, las vistas desde el hotel son maravillosas la costa escarpada que es caracteristica de la zona y con una brisa muy agradable ya que está en un alto. A la hora del desayuno tenias de todo desde frutas, cereales, buffet al uso,con la wuifi cambian cada semana y teniamos problemas para conectarnos y en recepcion les explicamos lo que nos pasaba y nos dieron otra clave, Hemos estado muy agusto para volver.

Zugenagelter Nachttisch, Handtuchwechsel nur alle drei Tage, Minibalkon es passen mal gerade zwei Stühle drauf, Mauer so hoch angesetzt dass man kaum drüber wegschauen kann, wenn man sitzt zwar Zimmer mit Meerblick gegen Aufpreis aber was nutzt einem der Meerblick wenn man den Balkon nicht nutzt nur zum Aufhängen der Handtücher, Anlage ganz nett, Personal nur so lala, zwei waren richtig nett, einige schaffen nicht mal ein bom dia, ich fühlte mich nicht willkommen

The hotel is very nice, since it was low season they gave us a room upgrade with a view to the ocean. The room was big, had a bathtub and a nice big balcony. We had diner there and it was ok, nothing special. The breakfast buffet had a big variety of things and the room had big windows so we had a nice view while eating. The staff was friendly as well. Although there were a few things off, like a black stain (mold?) next to the bathtub and rust in the shower handle (Shown in the photos).

Non soddisfacente: il terzo letto per il bambino era un letto pieghevole peggio di un lettino da spiaggia. La rete non si stendeva completamente, il materasso vecchio e pieno di molle. Mi sono lamentata alla reception ma ho ottenuto solo un altro materasso sintetico dello stesso spessore. Sicuramente non una sistemazione da quattro stelle

Gute Lage mit Meerblick. Freundliches Servicepersonal. Das Essen war reichhaltig, aber leider etwas geschmacksneutral. Das Zimmer etwas abgewohnt, insbesondere bräuchte das Bad eine Modernisierung. Alles andere war durchweg in Ordnung. Das Hotel ist von unserer Seite durchaus weiter zu empfehlen.

Los camareros del buffet muy amables, así como también del bar al mediodía y de recepción. La comida del buffet exquisita, felicitaciones al chef. La suite esta muy bien, terrazas muy amplias. Le haría falta una reforma y los colchones eran malísimos! Tuve que dormir en el sofá las 3 noches.. En el baño poca luz. Los jardines y hamacas y tumbonas muy limpio y organizado y había mucha paz, y una gran vista al mar. Las actuaciones nocturnas de cantante y violinista muy bien también

While the overall experience was excellent the room I received was somewhat dated and in need of a refresh. One of the closets in the bedroom would not close fully as the door was handing off its hinge and a couple of the drawers in one of the units would not close properly as it appeared that they were of their runners.Besides those (very) small items the hotel, the staff (a particular shout out to Julio and Eduardo who could not have been more professional), the available amenities were first class.

La chambre était correct mais pas extraordinaire, ça sentait un peu l'humidité, le lit n'était pas très douillet, il y avait juste un petit drap. Restaurant à fuir : 20€ par personne pour un buffet digne d'une cantine scolaire. Pareil pour le petit déjeuner où ils resservent les mêmes légumes que la veille au soir... Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter de la piscine car il faisait mauvais temps.

Hotel ideal para ir en familia. Tiene un parque infantil exterior, una sala de juegos interior, piscinas exteriores y piscina interior más jacuzzi, además de zona spa y sauna. Hotel muy agradable, limpio, aunque necesitaría alguna reforma sobre todo en el baño de la habitación. Está a unos minutos en coche del pueblo de Carvoeiro, y a pocos andando de la playa, donde puedes contratar una excursión en bote por las cuevas de toda la costa altamente recomendable!

Está bien,, es pequeño, pero suficiente para pasar unos días. Las habitaciones están bien,,, baños nuevos, y camas y colchones perfectos. El desayuno es muy bueno, hay de todo. La zona de piscina, césped y hamacas, muy bien cuidados. El enclave es muy bonito, rodeado de naturaleza.

Pour un 4* je mattendais à beaucoup mieux. La chambre est décevante pourtant avec une belle surface; prises électriques au mur non fixées, et absentes près des tables de chevet, problème de TV et sa télécommande cassée, pas de chaise, très mal dormi car énormément de vent et apparemment mauvaise isolation (on croirait que le vent etait dans la chambre.

We got a good deal and thought our whole experience was great value for money. Beautiful views of the ocean, peaceful and quiet resort. Everything you need for a relaxing few days is available. Friendly and helpful staf, especially Rui in the restaurant. Good buffet morning and evening. Location perfect to explore the beautiful Algarve. Will be back!!!

É caro para as condições apresentadas, os quartos estão ultrapassados e mal organizados. Falta de estacionamento para tantos hóspedes. A comida é fraca, deslavada e pouca variedade. A maioria dos empregados são antipáticos e com falta de brio e profissionalismo. Não recomendo de todo.

4 Sterne Hotel. Gefühlte Sterne 2. Das Hotel liegt abseits auf einer Klippe. Für uns kein Problem, da wir einen Mietwagen hatten und das Hotel als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nutzten. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, die Möbel darin sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Matratze führte dazu, keine Nacht durchschlafen zu können. In einer Woche Aufenthalt, hatten wir 2 mal Probleme mit dem Wasser. Hier ging über 1 Stunde nichts mehr. Kein Duschen, kein Toilettengang. Die Toilettespülung selbst hatte eine so Ohrenbetäubende Lautstärke, das man sich nachts nicht wirklich getraute diese aufzusuchen, damit man den mitreißenden nicht aufweckte. Das Essen war auf keinen Fall 4 Sterne Wert. Man kann natürlich sagen, was erwartet man für den Preis der gezahlt wurde! Ich auf jeden Fall ein schmackhaftes Essen. Hier wurde bei jedem Gericht an Gewürzen gespart. Jedes Gericht war absolut fade und immer lauwarm bis kalt. Man wurde satt, das wars. Kantinenessen trifft es charakterlich am besten. Auch die Abwechslung fehlte komplett. Portoguisiche Küche haben wir nur außerhalb des Hotels genossen. An der Freundlichkeit des Personales kann man noch arbeiten. Da ist viel Luft nach oben. Vllt lag es an Weihnachten, zum Dienst verdonnert. An der Rezeption spricht man zwar deutsch, aber man wird eher schnell abgefertigt. Die Zimmerreinigung war mal so und so, dass änderte auch ein Trinkgeld in Scheingröße nicht. Hallenbad haben wir uns nur von außen angeschaut, weil hier Badekappenpflicht bestand, was in der Katalogbeschreibung nicht geschrieben stand und wir es nicht einsahen, eine solche zu kaufen, die man dann nie wieder gebrauchen kann. Die Größe des Hallenbades ist zudem sehr überschaubar, nichts mit wirklichem schwimmen. Badekappenpflicht besteht auch im Aussenpool, arme Kids im Sommer. Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn, man sollte nicht an falscher Ecke sparen und lieber einwenig mehr Geld in die Hand nehmen und ein anderes Hotel buchen. Wir können das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen.

Drei Sterne Hotel - wie erwartet. Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.
Ich hatte mich im Weihnachtsurlaub auf das Hallenbad gefreut. Jedoch, ohne es zu erwähnen, wurden wir bei der Ankunft sofort darüber informiert, dass man das Hallenbad nicht ohne Bademütze benutzen darf. Somit hatte sich das Thema erledigt.
Das Personal ist nicht unfreundlich. Jedoch sollten sie an der Nicht- Freundlichkeit noch arbeiten.
Für einen Winterurlaub in Portugal würde ich das nächste Mal ein Hotel in Albufeira bevorzugen, da hier mehr los ist.

Wspaniały hotel. Dobra cena, pokoje słoneczne, piękny ogród i widoki tuż obok hotelu. Smaczne śniadania. Największym plusem jest dla mnie personel. Przecudowni ludzie, niesamowicie mili i zawsze gotowi pomóc. Sprawili ze poczuliśmy się tu jak w domu. Szczególnie Pan z baru. Każda osoba z personelu wiedziala o moich urodzinach, dostałam życzenia oraz prezent. Napewno tu wrócimy!!

Le daría 3 o 4 estrellas por las vistas, pero la calidad de la comida tanto el buffet cómo el restaurante pésimo. Muy mala.calidad y no por que sea un hotel de 4 estrellas, sino que un hostal o B&B o bar de carretera es mucho mas variable el menú, más rico y mas bueno. Ni variedad, ni rico ni calidad. La fruta y comida parecía que era de días. Ya decía yo que era muy barato la noche para ser de 4 estrellas y las vistas que tenía mi habitación, y creía porque estaba fuera de temporada mediados de Octubre, pero la calidad y servicio en general malo, sobretodo la comida. Lo mejor la que nos atendió y nos hizo el checkin y checkout que era super amable y buena en su trabajo, Rosa. A ella la doy 5 estrellas la comida 0 puntos, el restaurante y bar 1 y el encanto del hotel un 3. Hotel de playa para verano de batalla y poco más.

Lage und Aussicht sehr schön, toller Blick auf den Atlantik. Zwei schöne Pools. Das Personal ist freundlich leider sind die Zimmer nicht Vier-Sterne-Niveau : anscheinend wurde in den letzten Jahren nicht mehr viel modernisiert und restauriert. Das Bad, Badewanne und Waschbecken sind sehr alt. Bei starkem Regen hat es durch das Flachdach etwas in den Wohnbereich getröpfelt. Die Matratze ist eine absolute Katastrophe, alt und durchgelegen. Das Essen ist ok. Der Speisesaal ist nicht ansprechend auch sehr alt.
Schade, man könnte einiges machen, dann wäre es ein tolles Hotel!! ☀️☀️☀️

Hab mich dort sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Zwei Pool man kann auch ein bisschen schwimmen wenn man will. Toller Garten man sitzt nicht auf dem Präsentierteller.Teilweise deutschsprachige Rezeption und auch teilweise im Restaurant. Jeden Abend unterschiedlichs Musikprogramm. Tolles abwechslungsreiches Frühstückbuffet. Abendbuffet ausgezeichnet es gab in den 7 Tagen die ich dort war nicht einmal das selbe. Sehr abwechslungsreich. Viele Salate, täglich Fischgerichte, viel Obst, mehrere Vegetarische Speisen, Nachtischbuffet abwechslungsreich auch Kuchen. Unter der Woche kostenloser Shuttle vom Hotel zum öffentlichen Strand wenn man ihn bestellt und auch zurück. Man kann aber auch mit dem Taxi für 5€ z.B. am Wochenende, oder mit dem Buss fahren. Haben wir nicht gemacht daher weis ich den Oreis nicht. Mann kam aber die 1,5 Km auch gut laufen zumindest hin da bergab man sollte aber die Strasse nehmen über die Klippen ist es für nicht so standfeste Wanderer gefährlich. Ein toller Urlaub a auch sicher alle in hinfahren. Personal sehr nett.

Great location. Close to town & many nice restaurants. Pool & room with sea view were great. Had a couple problems with the room that took some time to correct. When we took shower, water backed up thru a drain on floor of bathroom. Also, A/C evaporator in hall had a clogged condensate drain and water dripped all over the floor when it ran. Plumber came at 6PM right before we were going to shower to go out to eat!

Essen eintönig. Kaum Abwechslung. Zimmer sind gut. Sicher ist das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen, aber es wird gefplegt. Von Hotel Kinderfreundlich, leider sind die Gäste nicht Kinderfreundlich. Gute Lage, um überall hin zu kommen. Was stark zu bemängeln ist der Müll und Sanitär Gestank auch auf den Straßen.
Es ist schön hier und ich komme gerne wieder hier her.

We stayed in room 245. We paid over $300 for a one night stay and we didn’t have air conditioning. It was a miserable experience. We’ll never go back here.

Hotel com boas piscinas e bons espaços para relaxar e apreciar o oceano! O mais negativo: a saída era às 12h00 e não nos deram a mínima tolerância, às 12h03 estavam a bater à porta e às 12h05 a telefonar para dizer que já devíamos ter saído... O mais positivo: A Cláudia do clube das crianças, muito querida, com um talento natural para os mais pequenos e as massagens da Catarina do SPA.

Way too many restrictions on the all inclusive package. Not helped at all by poor quality food with a very limited choice. Guys in the main bar are fantastic but other than that customer service was shocking.

This is a very sad place to go to. I tried to make the most of my holiday with my family and overlook all the small errors, mistakes and so called "misunderstandings" but the service is just Terrible!!
I cannot believe how bad our experience was!
May I just say that this is my second attempt to make a review here as it has been flagged. So I will copy & paste my initial review which has been removed.
"This is our 3rd night here and I am literally in tears!
My husband hates it and the kids cannot wait to leave.
We booked for a 4Star hotel near the beach, by the 1st night it was clear this is definatly not a 4Star.... Where do I start???
The place is understuffed, working up to 16 hours straight.... the cleaner is so tired and had no shame expressing it when I approached her to let her know my son had wet the bed... ( she did not clean the room as I felt so sorry for her) the plates, cups, are dirty at meal times. The staff is not friendly at all as it is clear they are under a lot of pressure.
The last drop for me was when my son aged 4 cut his toes on the children’s pool as there are tiles missing, another child got hurt and was bleeding from her feet.
My 4 year old son has cut 2 of his toes on the children's pool and when I approached reception I was given "excuses" and my issue/complain was quickly dismissed.
The person whom I spoke with I think the managers name was Andre, he told me August is very busy for them, they have 90 rooms and if I am not happy that is my own issue as they cannot satisfy everyone.!! ( Wow)
At this point I was in tears, was told to contact the agency I booked with and that the agency is responsible, not them (as in the hotel isn’t responsible)
He didn't asked me how bad the cuts were, if my son was alright, not even offered me a plaster or a first aid kit. Instead proceeded to tell me how satisfied other clients are whilst I was in tears due to my son being hurt and him and the hotel not taking any accountability.
this is a terrible hotel and I did not get what I paid and was promised.
I am still here trying to find another solution, the hotel has told the agency via e-mail that my son wasn’t even hurt & I actually have photograph proof of it along with the lack of hygiene
I have a video where I washed a clean glass I was given however it is not uploading.
I will never come back here, neither would I advise it to anybody else!
Any hotel can have things that are not up to scratch but when the service is about covering their backs showing no regard for the actual clients staying there- This place should be undergoing INSPECTION.

Beautiful location of the hotel. Near the beach, within walking distance of Carvoeiro, .... The hotel is good and the food is very tasty. There may be more variety in the breakfast. The staff is friendly and the people in the Algarve region are just fantastic. Carvoeiro has a beautiful beach and nice bars. Take some money with you because it will not be your cheapest holiday. You pay a lot in restaurants for drinks and food. We especially enjoyed our holiday and will definitely come back again.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in . Air conditioning always leaking, didnt let me sleep. Bathroom flush not working properly. Food was not fresh. Towels not washed properly. Ants on the the bed and floor, been bitten a few times. Horrible, horrible! Spoiled my long expected holidays. I will make sure i do a better research, before i book a hotel.

Stayed over for a night either side of our villa holiday to obtain better flight prices. It was perfect for our requirements. Nice big pool, overlooking the sea, park for kids. Restaurant served nice food and rooms were clean. Second night at end of our break was much bigger and better family room. Would definitely stay again. We don’t stay in hotels if this size generally, we prefer small boutique hotels.Reception & bar / restaurant staff were very helpful although pool bar assistant (lady) came across very cold and unenthusiastic both times we stayed there. I actually refrained from approaching the bar in the end but maybe she was just having a tough time! Reception arranged packed lunch for our airport journey as we left very early before breakfast which I thought was a nice touch.Thank you to Raffael who was particularly welcoming and helped me to my room with my luggage.

Nous avions reservé une chambre vue mer pour 3 personnes debut aout pour 6 nuits.Points positif : emplacement sur falaise avec une plage juste en dessous, piscines, parc verdoyant calme, bon coktail.Point negatif : hotel vieillisant, chambre sale, serviettes de toilette usées, ménage approximatif...vue mer avec blocs clim !!La direction a voulu nous changer de chambre mais cetait guere mieux, ils nous ont offert une bouteille de mousseux et une paniere de fruit pour faire passer la pillule mdr...Et là, la chambre maudite continue...Probleme delectricité et de chasse deau dans la SDB. Impossible de reparer le jour meme car le technicien etait parti !!! Pratique pour les besoins !!!Même si ce fut tres gentil de vouloir nous changer de chambre, lhotel nest pas digne dun 4 etoiles...HOTEL A FUIR ....et joublié le petit dejeuner mediocre (cafe infecte de leau noire, jus dorange industriel, nourriture pas fraiches, fruit en boites ect...) nous avons donc pris tous les jours notre petit dejeuner a lexterieur !!! Merci Baia hotel pour tous ces desagrementsEnviron 185€ par jours non et non !!! Cela ne vaut pas plus de 100€ !!!

Very nice and friendly staff. Everithing was perfect and i did admire the dedication of whole staff to make turist journey in Hotel Baia Cristal a beautiful and unforgetable holyday. I consider myself very luckky i could book at this hotel as i knew was in very high demand. On the other hand has a very peaceful atmosphere, you can really hear the seagulls in the morning and have a wonderful view of Centeanes Beach from hotel cliff.

Gepflegtes Hotel, in bester Lage. 1.Foto zeigt Ausblick aus dem "Top Zimmer". Es handelt sich nicht um einen Neubau, weshalb auch das eine oder andere etwas "abgewohnt " ist und auch mal erneuert werden könnte. Aber trotzdem völlig in Ordnung. Ich konnte damit leben. :) Schöner Pool und tolle parkähnliche Gartenlandschaft. Perfekt zum Relaxen. Nettes Mehrsprachiges Personal. Ich würde wieder hin fahren. :)

Ausgezeichnete und ruhige Lage an der Steilküste mit Strand direkt unterhalb des Hotels, in der Nebensaison kaum belegt und daher auch im Resort angenehm ruhig, sehr nette Bedienung/Service, geräumige Zimmer (zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber dennoch voll ok, deshalb auch nur 4 Sterne). Sehr gut ausgeschilderte Wanderwege an der Steilküste entlang in beide Richtungen.

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine en février, hôtel très bien situé pour balade visite et plage avec ou sans voiture. Très bel extérieur avec pelouse et transats pour se reposer. Piscines extérieures et intérieure chauffée avec jacuzzi prévoir bonnet de bain . Personnel très pro et sympathique. Seul bémol je dirais le repas du soir en buffet la nourriture n'est vraiment pas formidable du tout. Je recommande car nous avons passé de bonnes vacances.

Este hotel es un laberinto,no es nada recomendable en invierno,te mueres de frío buscando la habitación por los pasillos al aire libre,con escaleras por todos lados y lleno de charcos cuando llueve.
Las habitaciones huelen a humedad y es anticuado,no te fíes por las fotos,se ve bonito pero la realidad es otra.
La comida muy mal,no reponen y algunas bandejas de comida están revueltas,parece vómito en vez de comida.
No volveré.

Also wie dieses Hotel als 4Sterne Hotel bezeichnet werden kann ist uns ein Rätsel. OK,die Zimmer sind groß ( wir hatten eine Suite), der Garten ist schön angelegt und die Lage auf dem Felsen ist hervorragend. Aber das war es auch schon... Die schönen großen Zimmer sind ziemlich verwohnt und alles ist feucht und muffig. Das ganze zieht sich durch die gesamte Einrichtung. Alles sehr lieblos und ungemütlich. Das "Restaurant" hat den Flair einer Kantine, kein einheitliches Geschirr und Besteck. Frühstück und Abendessen vom Buffet ziemlich eintönig, und die Qualität auch sehr unterdurchschnittlich,und das ist noch höflich ausgedrückt. Alles in allem nicht zu empfehlen. Ach so, das betrifft nicht die Kellner in der Kantine und der Bar.
Ich würde dem Hotel höchstens drei Sterne zugestehen.

Tolles Hotel mit guter Ausstattung. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und daher unseren Aufenthalt verlängert. Leckeres Frühstück. Kleiner Spa- Bereich mit Pool und Whirlpool, sowie Türkischem Bad, Sauna und Fitnessraum. Nette Bar mit täglicher Livemusik. Im Restaurant hat man Blick auf den Aussenpool, sowie auf das Meer. Dies ist besonders schön zum Abendessen bei Sonnenuntergang. Sehr schöner Strand. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

We drove to the Algarve. Parking spaces are tight, but we always found a place to park the car. Baia Cristal proximity to the beaches is fantastic. Front desk reception extremely helpful. We walked to the Praia de Vale Centeanes every day. Kayak trip to Benagil Algar and dinner on the beach were a highlight.

The hotel has a great external space and location! The swimming pool is really nice, most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The games room is very pleasant with good options of games to play in couple or with kids (games are paid individually, though). Dinner offered in the restaurant is a buffet with several options and the price is ok, but I missed more vegetarian options. There is a free shuttle from hotel to Carvoeiro city center and vice-versa which is really handy. The SPA is well decorated and gives several options of relaxing: massages, sauna, Turkish bath and others. There is also an indoor pool and a jacuzzi, but a swimming cap is mandatory. This is not informed beforehand (e.g. in the website) and the hotel sells it for 5 euros.
However, some items need attention and/or improvements: the hotel is older than shown in the pictures: new painting and furniture would make it nicer and modern. Wardrobes are noise and smelly. Beds are uncomfortable. The evening shows are a good attraction for some people, but it could start and end earlier. Several times artists were playing till 23:30 and the volume was very loud considering the number of people watching it. Although the restaurant closes at 22:00, if you arrive after 21:00 most of the tables are not prepared anymore and part of staff is already preparing the restaurant for breakfast which is a bit annoying. Gym is really small, very, very hot inside and smelly. Airco or windows that can be open to refresh the gym would really help people to stay there.

Tienen todos los servicios básicos sin ser gran cosa: piscina exterior grande y pequeña (el agua fría de cjns), piscina interior pequeña y jacuzzi, gimnasio 4x4m2 (sujeto a horario). Restaurantes: Bar ( muy lento, calidad justa, No vale la pena), Restaurante Buffet (20€) hay mejores opciones en Carvoeiro. Limpieza: muy correcta. Para niños: las piscinas, un pequeño parque infantil y un Kids club que funciona regular (te pueden dejar al niño dos horas al sol sin agua ni crema solar)

Lift pfeifft die ganze Zeit und man hört den Motor im Zimmer.Einrichtung alt, alle Türen klemmen und quitschen. Schranktüren defekt.Tropfleck in Decke vom Badezimmer.Tücher werden nicht wie angegeben gewechselt.Matratzen katastrophal.Angabe des Hotels dass es Glutenfreie Kost gibt. Gibt es nicht ohne Tage vorzubestellen und dann nur Brot. Keine Teigwaren und nichts Anderes.Laktosefreie Milch musste jeden morgen verlangt werden und wurde nur spärlich angegeben.

War ein toller Urlaub mit meinen Töchtern... Das schon etwas in die Jahre gekommene, aber gepflegte Hotel war echt in Ordnung. Die Lage ist perfekt und man ist in ca. 10 min an einem großartigen Strand. Der Ausgangspunkt ist ideal für Ausflüge und es ist extrem ruhig und entspannt dort. Gerne wieder!

Vom Hotel abgesehen, hatten wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub.
Hier fehlt leider die Liebe zum Detail (siehe Fotos). Die ersten beiden Fotos haben wir gemacht, nachdem das Zimmermädchen das Zimmer gemacht hat. Der Service im Hotel vom Mitarbeiter im Restaurant bis zur Rezeption sollte verbessert werden. Wir haben Höflichkeit und Freundlichkeit vermisst. Einige Dinge haben uns gestört, das ging anderen Gästen ebenso. Wer mehr wissen möchte, kann mich gerne per Mail anschreiben. Der Ort ist wunderschön und man kann tolle Ausflüge machen. Man darf nur keine großen Ansprüche an den Service und die Sauberkeit stellen, schade, ansonsten hätte es ein (positiv) unvergesslicher Urlaub werden können.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer wunderschönen Lage. Hier hat man es ruhig und läuft nur ca 5-10min zum Strand. Wir haben uns hier wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal versteht größten Teils Deutsch, was uns sehr gefreut hat. Trotzdem gibt es ein paar Dinge die uns nicht ganz so gut gefallen haben. zB. Das dir Getränke zum Abendessen kostenpflichtig sind. Nicht mal ein Glas Wasser bekommt man zum Essen dazu ohne ein kleines Vermögen zu zahlen. So kamen wir im Laufe der Woche auf einen Saftigen Preis von 70€ extra. Was ich wiederum sehr gut fand war der kleine Mitternachtssnack nach Ankunft im Hotel. Da wir in der Nacht angereist sind und das Buffet schon geschlossen war fanden wir Mitten in der Nacht einen kleinen Snack mit schnitten und Süßkram + Obst auf dem Zimmer. Leider stand das halb angefutterte Tablett dann 3 Tage im Zimmer ohne dass es jemand abholte. Bis wir dann mal an der Rezeption Bescheid gegeben haben. Außerdem hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass wenigstens alle 2 Tage die Trinkgläser auf dem Zimmer ausgetauscht werden. Zu Hause trinkt man ja normaler Weise auch nicht eine Woche aus dem selben Glas. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers kann nicht bemängelt werden aber mir fehlte ein bisschen die Rundumsicht des Reinigungspersonals. Ansonsten hätten wir wirklich einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Was uns außerdem sehr gut gefallen hat, war dass man sich direkt im Hotel ein Auto mieten kann. Jeden Tag gibt es etwas Neues auf dem Abendessenbuffet und Freitag ist BBQ Abend- auch sehr zu empfehlen Wir können das Hotel vor allem für Familien wirklich weiter empfehlen.

Ich war dort 11 Tage am übernachten.. Also ein 4 Sterne Hotel ist es definitiv nicht.. Das Buffet war immer mickrig für so viele Leute und es war kaum Auswahl an verschiedenen Sorten.. Das gute war das man fast direkt einen Strand vor dem Hotel hatte das Personal war nett aber nicht jeder konnte Deutsch.. Also wenn jemand kein Englisch oder portugiesisch ist man fast aufgeschmissen. Aber gut das hat man bestimmt auch woanders. Die Betten waren komisch alles so altbacken.. Naja was solls es war eine Erfahrung Wert.. Aber ich werde dort nicht nochmal einen Fuß reinsetzen.. Es hat höchsten 2 bis 3 Sterne nach deutschen Standards

Quarto com armários antigos e frigobar que mal resfria. Pedimos cama de casal e nos deram 2 cama de solteiro encostadas...
Havia pequenos insetos que habitam colchões e madeira velhos.
Pontos positivos são os funcionários, a bela vista para o mar e a localização próxima de Carvoeiro.

Love this place, stayed here 6 years on the trot. The staff are fantastic, the location is perfect, however.......... The food is ordinary and the bedrooms are tired.When we started coming the cost was about £100 a night. That cost has nearly doubled. Some of that is beyond the hotels control (exchange rates) but not all and, generally, its not such good value for money anymore. We love it but Ive left the last few times thinking that I could do better for the money

Location is optimal for wandering. Beautifully situated on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic and a short stroll into Carvoeiro. Property was well-maintained. Food was plentiful with good quality/taste overall. Reception and Manager Gil were very professional and helpful with dinner reservations, taxis, etc. Biggest complaint was with the housekeeping as our room was not well kept at all. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

The weather is fabulous, the location is good! There are a few points which prompted good instead of great- we paid extra for a Double room with a sea view and balcony!! Only to get a room with twin beds and the only view from our downstairs room is that of trees and bushes refer to photos. The hotel website states tea/coffee making facilities but there aren’t any within the room. Also the shower pours out everywhere so you have to hold with one hand to shower. The sauna and Turkish bath don’t work after waiting 40 minutes so we gave up!. Our day of departure we were greeted by a bar bill for which we had never been into the bar our whole week! Someone had signed against our room no! No apology from the reception staff for this error.

Tudo muito bom, o pequeno-almoço é muito completo e o jantar é muito bom também, os funcionários da recepção e do restaurante (buffet, onde é o pequeno-almoço e o jantar) são extremamente simpáticos e prestáveis. O bar deixa muito a desejar, esperamos mais de 1 hora para trazerem uma sopa e três pratos banais (almôndegas, hambúrguer e bife grelhado), sendo que vinha tudo frio à excepção da sopa. Ainda tiveram o descaramento de gozar quando nos queixámos da demora. Uns 6 funcionários e não davam conta de 3 ou 4 mesas. À noite, este bar também é muito fraco no atendimento, passámos completamente despercebidos mais de meia hora para pedir um café e um gelado, acabámos por ir embora depois de várias tentativas para que os funcionários viessem ao nosso encontro. É o único ponto negativo, é o bar.

Ne vaut pas ses 4 étoiles, les chambres sont grandes mais la moisissure s'invite dans la salle de bain et l'insonorisation laisse franchement à désirer j'ai eu l'impression de dormir avec mes voisins. Le buffet est misérable pas de vrais plats portugais ni de vrai jus d'orange au petit déjeuner... au pays de l'orange c'est un comble !
Pour pouvoir profiter du sauna il faut faire une demande 30 minutes avant, un sauna chauffé à 25 degrés...
Points positifs l'emplacement de l'hôtel et le personnel de la réception.
À éviter en toute franchise

I picked this place on a last minute decision to attend the Carvoeiro Black and White festival. So we didnt arrive until early evening and departed the next day. We had an hour by the main pool/patio area that was very pleasant, but the pool was a little too cool to enter. Ive stayed in other Portuguese hotels and I think it must be due to regulations that you must wear a swimming cap for indoor pools, we didnt want to pay €5 each for a cap so gave that a miss.Room was spacious with a fridge, TV etc. Bathroom was a little bated but functional.Breakfast finished too early on Sunday (10am) and check out was non negotiable noon.All in all a good value stay.

Im Großen und Ganzen für ein 4 Sterne Hotel akzeptabel, am Zimmerservice und Frühstücksbuffet muss noch gearbeitet werden, Zimmerservice Bewertung ungenügendund Buffet einbischen mehr Abwechslung täte gut ! - Ansonsten ein in die Jahre gekommendes Hotel, aber immer noch gut, ob im Aussenbereich, am Pool und natürlich mit der herrlichen Umgebung geeignet fürs Wandern und Baden. Die Vermarktung von Angeboten, wie Ausflüge oder Sehenswürdigkeiten könnte noch fossiert werden, ... ABER wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und das ist ja wohl die Hauptsache oder ?

Es un hotel que no está nada mal, la atención por parte del personal es buena. Las habitaciones son amplias y limpias y muy tranquilas. El servicio de bar no está mal. El desayuno, por 9 euros, está genial mucha y muy buena variedad, me encantó. Lo que no destaca en absoluto es el buffet de la cena, es malo, sobretodo teniendo en cuenta que vale 20 euros por persona y no tiene bebida incluída.
Los horarios del spa son muy reducidos, debería estar abierto hasta más tarde, al menos en horario de invierno, que es cuando hemos ido.

Habitación limpia, bastante grande, con balcón, cama king size, personal muy atento, spa, buen restaurante con desayunos de calidad, vistas increíbles y ubicado en un buen barrio lleno de buenas casas, muy muy recomendado!!!

Gutes essen und schöne zimmer aber der balkon ist klein und die aussicht nicht sehr schön (bäume oder parkplatz) das w-lan kostet geld (außer in der bar) und es herrscht freie platzwahl beim essen was zu problemen bei 4er gruppen führen kann (zu wenig tische um sich zusammen zu setzen wenn man später kommt)

Wir waren 7 Tage dort.
2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind (3 Jahre)
Das Hotel machte von außen ein guten Eindruck. Die Zimmer waren sauber ( wurden täglich gereinigt), jedoch waren die Möbel in die Jahre gekommen, taten aber ihren Zweck.
Das Bad war mit allen wichtigen Sachen ausgestattet ( Föhn war auch vorhanden),aber auch das hatte schon zahlreiche Gebrauchsspuren (Abblätternde Tapete, defekte Duschwand).
Es gab eine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, die allerdings 2 mal in den 7 Tagen zu tropfen begann, so dass man sie nicht mehr nutzen konnte.
Das Restaurant war sauber und ordentlich, aber wie alles andere in die Jahre gekommen.
Das Frühstück wiederholte sich täglich, dafür war das Abendessen um so reichhaltiger ( Mottotage wie BBQ oder mexikanischer Abend)
Jedoch war das Essen immer gut hergerichtet und frisch und es wurde schnell nachgefüllt.
Leider gab es für kleinere Kinder keine Möglichkeit zu spielen. Werder am Pool, noch in dem "Kidsclub" der alle 7 Tage unseres Aufenthaltes geschlossen war.
Der Pool wurde täglich gesäubert, war allerdings morgens sehr kalt und brauchte einige Zeit sich aufzuwärmen. Auch der Pool zeigte viele Verschleißspuren, so zum Beispiel lose Fließen und rostige Geländer.
Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt ok. Wir würden das nächste mal allerdings ein anderes Hotel wählen.

Experiencia muy agradable. Estuvimos 5.dias y 4 noches. Todo. Muy limpio. Instalaciones muy nuevas. Las piscinas muy bien cuidadas. No estaba masificado de gente. La playa esta al lado. Zonas verdes muy bien cuidadas. Por ponerle un pero la sauna y el baño turco tienes que reservarlo y cierra tanto la piscina como el spa a las 19.00. Un poco pronto para mi gusto. Pero en general superbien.

Három éjszakát töltöttünk a szállodába! Nagyon jó helyen van, szép a kilátás. Kedves a személyzet. Viszont vannak dolgok amiket nem nagyon értek. Pl. Miért kell napi 2 EUR fizetni egy 4 csillagos hotelbe a széfért. Amit viszont megemlítenék, születésnapot ünnepeltük, és megleptek egy kis tortával. Ez nagyon kedves!

Loved our stay...it was our second time staying at this hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful! It is kept clean and there is entertainment at the bar or pool area every night. The spa is also a lovely escape and they even sent a cake and message for my wife on her birthday! It's the personal touches that make the difference on top of a superb location...we will be back!

Mittelgroßes Hotel mit toller Lage. Strandnahe und großartiger Blick auf den Atlantik. Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Wenn auch schon älter. Wir hatten Halbpension. Frühstück war sehr gut. Abendessen überzeugte durch die vielfältige Auswahl an Salaten. Nur das Angebot an Fleisch war übersichtlich und wenig vielfältig. Ansonsten gab es auch dort am Pool die täglich Handtuchrallye.

Zasługuje na najwyżej trzy gwiazdki, mimo starań i życzliwości obsługi. Niewygodne,rozjeżdzające się łóżka, w łazience podgnite futryny, szwankująca spłuczka,do tego wi-fi tylko koło recepcji i w pokojach nad nią, inne bez dostępu do internetu. Dopełnieniem były posiłki,monotonne, słabo doprawione, często podawano stare owoce z dnia poprzedniego. Niezaprzeczalnym atutem jest miła obsługa i doskonała lokalizacja.

Etwas ausserhalb von Carvoeiro, aber die Lage ist spitze. Oberhalb der Klippen, direkt am Meer.Das Hotel selbst ist o.K. vier Sterne sind wohl hauptsächlich wegen des Hallenbads und des Spa vergeben. Das Personal ist freundlich, allerdings stark unterbesetzt, was sich im Service ( abräumen der Tische, Bedienung an der Bar usw. ) bemerkbar macht. Die Parkplätze sind zu eng, das All-Inclusive-Conzept ist unprofessionell, wir würden nur mit Frühstück empfehlen, vor allem, da in Carvoeiro ein Überangebot an Restaurants und Bars ist.

We visited March 16 to 30.
A very good hotel with a great location, being on top of the coastal cliffs with access to the coastal footpath.
Outside the hotel is fresh and clean with great pool area, good parking and just a short walk to shops, bars and the beach.
What made this hotel for us, above all, were the staff. They were all very helpful and friendly. Everyone, from the director all the way up to the waiters and cleaners were always smiling and saying hello.
The food was very nice, plenty of choice, and eat as much as you like.
The room we had was big, with a great view overlooking the sea and cliffs. It was clean and tidy but could do with a bit of a re-vamp, as could some areas of the hotel, but, do not be deterred, this is a great hotel with a very good team of staff.
Would we visit again?.........YES!

Wij zijn er reeds 3x geweest. Steeds kamers die accepteer- en betaalbaar zijn. Zeker en vast de kamers met zee zicht. Opletten dat je geen kamer treft met zicht op de compressoren van de airo. Lekker en overvloedig eten en vooral super vriendelijke en zeer toegewkjde bediening. Aanrader !!!!

Ich war mit meiner Mutter hier und würde glatt wieder kommen. Die Auswahl morgens beim Frühstück und abends beim Abendessen ist einfach gigantisch. Vor allem muss man sagen, dass die gesamte Anlage trotz portugischer Einrichtung sehr sauber, stilvoll und toll eingerichtet und ausgestattet ist.
Auch die Lage ist toll. Eigener Fels als Aussichtspunkt, der Bus fährt vor Ort ab, tolle Wanderstrecken und man kann sich für gute Konditionen einen Wagen mieten.

Extrem entspannte Umgebung mit einem ausgezeichneten Kundenservice Erfahrung. Wir waren sofort begrüßt und die Rezeptionist empfing uns uns außerhalb zu begrüßen.Die Hotelanlage sind erstaunlich und die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und komfortabel. Sie ließen uns ein Flasche Sekt als Geschenk. Das Frühstück war gut, mit einer erstaunlichen Auswahl und noch einmal das Personal konnte nicht mehr höflich und hilfsbereit die ganze Zeit.Der Spa - Wert auf jeden Fall einen Besuch , und wenn Sie Zeit haben,ein Muss! Insgesamt gebe ich mit 10 von 10 auf jeden Aspekt des Hotels und ein 11/10 für die hervorragende Personal! Hoffe , bald wieder zu kommen

We absoulutley love this hotel. We have been going for 3yrs now. And will be back again next year. Only recently just got back and already we miss the amazing staff who are so kind and attentive. The food is delicious out room as always spotless and clean spacious just fantastic. It is fabulous for children too.. the pools are amazing and all the fantastic facilities available. I would definitely recommend this hotel..and it is in a fantastic area caverio such beauty and tranquil.

Die vier Sterne sind doch etwas übertrieben. Es gibt zwar einen schönen Pool, und der Service und das Frühstück sind OK. Aber der Standard der Ausstattung der Zimmer ist nicht besonders (das Hotel ist offenbar schon etwas älter), und man merkt, dass das Hotelmanagement an jeder Leistung zusätzlich verdienen will. Zum Beispiel gibt es zwar Safes in den Zimmer, aber die bestehen nur aus einfachen Kisten, für die man für ein Zusatzentgelt pro Tag ein Schloss erwerben kann, sonst steht die Kiste offen. Für Wifi muss man ebenfalls pro Tag ein Entgelt entrichten (4,50 EUR). Jedes Billigcafé bietet heutzutage seinen Kunden kostenloses Wifi! Der Zimmerpreis war also insgesamt überzogen.

overall hotel is in nice location with just 10 min walk from the beach, got live music every night nice swimming pool and tennis court, they have free parking but with very little parking bays. if u go later than 11pm you won't be able to find car park inside.
NO free WIFI, i paid 5 euro for one day and it was crap, one day for 3hrs there was no water in the toilet (imagine if u be in the shower)

Unfortunately you need to pay for wifi and it disconnects once you stop using your phone and you have to enter all these numbers constantly to stay connected. Das Hotel hat sehr freundlich Personal und liegt nahe Carvoeiro. Portimao, Lagos und Albufeira sind schnell erreicht. Auch gibt es wie überall an der Algarve genügend Golfplätze in der Nachbarschaft.Meines Erachtens ist es nicht mehr zeitgemäß (Februar 2016) in der Hotellobby einen alten PC zur Internetbenutzung bereit zu stellen. In der Lobby sollte wenigstens Wlan zur Verfügung stellen.

Plus une pension de famille désuète quun hôtel quatre étoiles. Terrasse craquelée, plomberie vieillotte, restaurant très très moyen, suppléments pour wi fi dans la chambre ou nourriture personnelle au petit-déjeuner etc.La vue mer est bien réelle avec toutefois une forêt de climatiseurs en premier plan.Enfin, on nous a prévenu la veille du départ que le spa ne fonctionnait pas, nous invitant à réserver dans un hôtel distant de 25 kilomètres si lon en voulait un. Bref, du grand nimporte quoi malgré la véritable gentillesse du personnel.

Overall we liked it and would come back. The location is good, the nearby beach being much better than the one in Carveiro village. We really found the staff to be a delight, especially Valter!!!. We had good entertainment every evening except thursday. OK, the atmosphere is a bit sedate, it's not Club 18-30, and there were a lot of quiet families who weren't there to party all night, just to have a quiet holiday. But it was a very happy place. The last night was a party, and lots of guests were dancing and mixing. The hotel is attractive and clean. The food was a nice variety and we were perfectly happy with it, except maybe the last night, when the sardines served at the barbecue were not quite as good as the ones we had had at Martin's restaurant in the village three days earlier. But still very enjoyable.
One problem with the Carvoeiro area, although NOT at the hotel, was the peculiar toilets where it seemed they didn't cope with toilet paper and the public toilets were usually blocked. There were signs up which seemed to say to throw used toilet paper in a separate bin! But I stress this was NOT a problem at the hotel, where everything worked properly!
One criticism of the hotel was that the laundry was expensive, but in Carvoeiro I found a 24 hour laundry that was much cheaper. Nearest laundromat was out of town and not in walking distance.
I tried to use a few Portugese words, like for Hello, Thank you, Please, and "Do you speak English?" (nearly everyone did) and everyone was helpful.

Wir waren zum dritten Male in diesem Hotel. Es ist wie wir etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat seinen Scharm aber bewahrt. Es sind dringend einige Reparaturen notwendig z.B. Dusche auch Möbel stark abgenutzt. Sauberkeit lässt auch zu wünschen übrig.Aber die Lage ist einmalig. Würden deshalb auch wiederkommen.

The food is really horrible. Such a beautiful place where the food is hardly to be swallowed. Really, avoid this place.
They constantly charge you for extra's. The food of F1 hotels in France is better. All the food tastes like it's made in the microwave.
My wife is there right now and she complains constantly about this!.
Really, it is a joke up there.
The point is that you don't have any other choice, once you are there. And what they charge for this kind of junk food...really stay far away from them.

Wat zonde van de locatie!!
De bouw van het hotel is waarschijnlijk met een andere gedachte neergezet. De kamers zijn groot en netjes, maar de badkamer is na een douchebeurt een kliederboel. De wifi is verschrikkelijk duur, dat kan eigenlijk niet meer, maar het ergste is het eten.
Wat een verschrikking! Alles gegaard en te lang in die bakken, een uiterst ongezellige zaal en vieze, goedkope wijn, die je ook nog duur moet betalen. Het ontbijt is even erg, geen verse koffie of jus d'orange, een croissantje die je zelf door de broodrooster moet halen.
Dit doen we dus nooit meer.

Das Hotel ist nicht mehr das neueste, wird aber in gutem Zustand gehalten.Die Zimmer mit Meerblick sind den kleinen Aufpreis wert. Unser Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt - der Sand vom Strand war also kein Problem.Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich und ordentlivh abgerichtet.Leider negativ war der Geruch unseres Zimmers etwas muffig und auch durch lüften nicht zu beseitigen.Insgesamt ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für einen Urlaub in toller Lage.

Just returned from a 5 day break at the Baia Cristal. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and cleaned to a good standard. We had requested a sea view so it was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the beautiful sunsets. There was a lovely beach about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The sauna and heated indoor pool and jacuzzi were great as it was just a bit cold for the outdoor pool in the afternoon. The breakfast was fine,plenty of choice. We only ate at the hotel one night as we liked to go into the town where there were lots of restaurants to choose from but we found the food of an acceptable standard. The rooms do not have tea and coffee making facilities as you would expect in a 4* hotel.We liked the hotel and we loved Carvoeiro. I think the hotel was good value and would consider staying there again.

Hotel a bit dated but staff very helpful and friendly up front and behind the scenes, housekeeping staff did a good job ensuring rooms were clean it got cool at night and a lovely thoughtful wee touch was a blanket placed on the bed, Breakfast was lovely each morning and plentiful Evening buffet was delicious and also plentiful Area was beautiful would definitely recommend and visit again The town was nearby which we walked into each day the beaches are fantastic and the weather was brilliant !!!

Staff friendly location good, but in need of a little TLC, bathroom area needed re tiling and carpet under the bed needed throwing out it looked dirty.Spa area lovely apart from the Jacuzzi which was falling apart and did not look clean.

The hotel has a good, quiet location, the rooms are quite big. The stuff is at first very unfriendly. There is plenty of additional charges that they dont inform about at first. Like the drinks during dinner are to be payed extra and for a price of wine glass you would order a very nice pizza just accross the street... Wifi is there but 3euro for half an hour! This is very expensive

Hotel ist nur mangelhaft sauber, die Stühle im Speisesaal so, dass man nicht so gern drauf sitzen mag, Schmutz in den Zimmern, der NICHT weggewischt wurde.Wir hatten Frühstück, das war okay, es gab Eier, Wurst, Käse, Schinken, Cornflakes, frisches Obst, verschiedene Brotsorten, alles in allem annehmbar.Tolle Außenanlage mit Meerwasserpools.Hallenbad eher eklig, stickig, und stank nach Chlor.Nette Rezeption

Schöne Lage überhalb eines wunderschönen Strands und nahe bei Carvoeiro (Zugang leider etwas schlecht gemacht); Hotelservice lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig, Morgenessenbuffet etwas schäbig, Restaurant nicht empfehlenswert, gibt aber viele preiswerte Restaurants im Dorf. Personal aber freundlich.

Das Hotel hat uns fast auf der ganzen Linie überzeugt. Die Anlage von Außen und Innen waren sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und sauber. Swimming-Pool o.K. Parken direkt vor der Haustür und kostenlos. Direkt nach Carvoeirio ist es nicht weit. Nach 5 Min Fussmarsch erreicht man unten auch die Küste. Das war auch das positive. WLAN gegen Gebühr. Wir hatten nur ÜF und das war gut so. Das Frühstück war sehr arm und unterdurchschnittlich, Kaffee und andere Getränke aus dem Automaten ungenießbar. Servicepersonal nicht die freundlichsten.

Esto es lo que peor llevamos en todas la vacaciones, uno iba a descansar no a venir con la espalda hecha un ocho por culpa de los colchones, creo que o eran de muy mala calidad o no los han cambiado desde que lo inauguraron, en fin espero que esto sea suficiente para que el director del hotel tome cartas en el asunto.No debo dejar de lado los desayunos, con mucha grasa y poca fruta, es las dos unicas cosas negativas que he encotrado en el hotel, el servicio tanto de recepción como de limpieza magnífico.
