I stayed a full week at Pine Cliffs Hotel and I can really recommend it. It is a wonderful hotel and very child friendly. The setting is very broad and the rooms are very nice. The beach is really great and so were the restaurants.

I have mentioned a lot in my reviews but it is really sad as to how u guys handle the property. I will make sure that I don't recommend nor suggest anyone to stay here. One more point of food n Beverage at Mare beach area. I order a pasta in red sauce and told the server to add vegetables and the server says we r busy and can't give but it is possible to charge extra and give it by the side. Really this is the kind of service u give. How much time does it take to add the vegetables. Second thing I ordered veggie wrap told him to add cheese again the same answer it is very busy and not possible. My wife ordered mojito without ice and the server refused it is not possible. I don't know what kind of outlet u guys run. The best way is to buy a big lock and close down these outlets as Ur staff doesn't want to work and they r afraid of staying busy.

The hotel location is very beautiful. We had very comfortable and relaxed holidays due to a very attentiv staff, clean and nicely designed indoor and outdoor space.

Beautiful resort however very sprawling and took several days to navigate way around , the walk to the beach down the cliffs would be too much for many people; very quiet in the evening with no entertainment in any of the bars which made them feel quite soulless, however staff really lovely and thhe views over cliffs is beautiful

Comfortable room and a beautiful setting. The beach is a short walk away and is also lovely but again they are cashing I. At the Mare Cafe and they charge extra for the loungers on the rooftop (can’t really understand why). Restaurants are overpriced, as is the spa. The room was very comfortable but disappointingly 2/3 nights we were disturbed by a noisy bar within the resort close by. This went on until 2am one night and after 3am the next night. Bad layout in terms of ensuring rest and relaxation. Wasn’t exactly going for the club 18-30 thing. Doesn’t really match the 5* experience I would expect and have had elsewhere.

The walk to the cliffs is breath taking. I was afraid it would not be as beautiful as the pictures but the view and the beach were even better in person. Our family of four had an excellent stay. We ate at the healthy restaurant Zest several times as we adhere to an organic lifestyle. One evening we ate at O'Pescador and it was amazing. The other evening we ate off the premises at Vila Joya and it was an easy ride.

Great luxury hotel resort surrounded by beautiful, manicured grounds. The name relates to the fact that the compound was built on beach cliffs with pine trees growing on them. The rooms are modern and beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at the Jardim Colonial restaurant is a great experience. Make sure to order the carrot juice! The cliff side bar facing the ocean is also a wonderful experience. Sip on your drink of choice as you look out on the ocean expanse. If you are a golfer, then no worries. The hole in one is waiting for you nearby. I highly recommend this beautiful resort.

Firstly, let’s get one thing clear. It’s not a luxury hotel. It’s just not. However you define the term luxury, it doesn’t come anywhere near it.
So as previous reviews have noted, this is a piece of Californian real estate design plonked onto the Algarve coast. Nothing wrong with that, but don’t expect a quaint Portuguese resort experience.
The services? Expensive and poor quality. The food is terrible and wildly expensive. If you have a car, it’s recommended to go find something out of the resort complex. As for the breakfast experience, all I can say. and this is being nice, is that it was like starring in an episode of Fawlty Towers.
The resort is under resourced. Our room wasn’t made up when we returned from a day out - it can take up to 5pm. Oddly, another team come round and change the cups/coffee at a random time during the day too. Oh and to add to the infrequent visitors, a lovely letter asking if we wanted to purchase a condo on the ever expanding estate - we politefully declined.
So to sum up, the hotel is effectively a bit part player to what essentially is a huge attempt to sell condos. in terms of the hotel, the service is not up to standard.

Absolutes 5 Sterne Resort mit allem erdenklichen Komfort. Wir waren seit 2011 mehrfach dort und haben 2015 im Mai dort geheiratet. Inzwischen neu renoviert mit exklusiven neuen Suiten sowie einem neuen Spa. Sehr schöner 9 Loch Golfplatz. Einer der 10 schönsten Strände im Europa. Es gibt an der Algarve nichts besseres.

Great resort with amazing spa services. Fantastic grounds for walks and exercise. Lots of families with kids so if you’re looking for a romantic, quite spot, this is not the place for you. For families with kids, you have it all — beach, pools, game rooms and great good with several restaurants onsite.

Experience in Pine Cliffs Hotel, a Luxury Collection Resort, Algarve, Portugal, during our Conference was more than good, it was almost perfect. Arrival on the day before and stay one day after the Conference in this Resort gave us nice feeling of wellness, Ocean view and spirit. Even the rain was unable to make us unhappy after the walk on the beach. Atmosphere in the Resort gave us opportunity to ignore boring and strong rain, very unusual for this place in Portugal. Stong recommendation for return back, soon.

Un très bel hôtel où nous avons passé une très agréable semaine en chambre supérieure avec vue sur l’ocean ... tout était parfait .. personnel très très professionnel et extrêmement aimable et serviable
le buffet du petit déjeuner était vraiment bien .. un seul petit bémol : la restauration déjeuner /dîner est très très chère ... tout le reste était digne d’un hôtel de cette catégorie ...
Un peu ennuyeux parfois de ne pas trouver de place au parking à cause des nombreuses motos BMW en expo entre autres ) mais sinon vraiment bien .. mon mari a suivi des cours particuliers de golf et il était ravi ( merci Miguel )
Il faut juste aimer ces immenses Resorts !

6. Aufenthalt im Wunschzimmer mit phantastischer Aussicht. Restaurant Corda Cafe wurde überrannt, da große Gruppen den Jardim colonial belegten, Ausweichmöglichkeit nur im Piri-Piri. Bei solch großen Gruppen sollte dringend eine weitere Ausweichmöglichkeit für die normalen Gäste angeboten werden. Das hing nicht! am Personal des Corda Cafe, die gaben mehr als ihr Bestes. Es hing an unzureichender Kapazitätsplanung und überlasteter Infrastruktur. Trotzdem haben wir den nächsten Aufenthalt schon geplant.

Wonderful property. Staff went the extra mile for us, restaurants on site were good, decor pleasant and consistent, good amenities. Got upgraded to a great suite. Beach in the low season felt secluded and private.

Der Urlaub im Pine Cliffs Hotel war der Wahnsinn.
Die Anlage ist wunderschön und sehr gepflegt. Die Residence ist äußerst großzügig und für Familien bestens geeignet. Der Strand ist ein Traum.
Die Freizeitmöglichkeiten sind vielfältig, so dass einem nie langweilig wird.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend, auch das restliche Essen im Resort.
Werde nächstes Jahr wieder hinfahren.

5 Star Service and amenities. We stayed at Pine Cliffs for 5 nts in late October 2018. The resort is stunning! Room was beautiful and service was 5 star all the way. The numerous restaurants on-site are all excellent but very, very expensive. However, right outside the main gate there are numerous options for dining. Warning for North Americans the pools are freezing! There is however one heat pool oriented for families.

Chegando de carro de Lisboa, já estávamos impressionados com os jardins bem cuidados do hotel. Na receção do hotel fomos recebidos sem muita espera e de uma forma muita simpática. A impressão positiva continuou com um amplo quarto espaçoso e luminoso, com banheiro moderno e uma bela vista do mar. A praia larga e bonita também nos inspirou. Quando o tempo não estava tão bom num dia, poderíamos relaxar na área de spa do hotel. No restaurante 'O Pescador', o peixe fresco foi preparado na hora em frente ao hóspede na grelha aberta. O vinho do vale do Douro foi delicioso e a sobremesa uma delícia. Toda a equipe do hotel foi sempre muito simpática e atenciosa. Ao todo, nos sentimos muito bem cuidados. Uma semana de descanso completo e relaxamento. Muito obrigada!

There is a long queue for breakfast which may take at least half an hour standing, no matter age, kids, etc. The hotel was full, but they have to manage this situation and not make people wait. Never seen this in a 5 star hotel in my life.There were ants in our room, no need to make further comments.

Excellent location with outstanding grounds that are meticulously maintained.
Two of the restaurants we experienced were way below the standard expected of such a prestigious resort, particularly bearing in mind the cost of a meal for 2 (average €120 per night for 2 with no starter or dessert).
Some staff outstanding, others need improvement in customer service.

I could have stayed an additional week, there is so much to do. You never need to leave the property, but if you do, there is so much to see in the Algarve region. Pine Cliffs is an easy drive from LIS airport. O Pescador is so great, and the breakfast at Jardim Colonial offers everything. Courtyard areas is so relaxing and the views are spectacular. Mare restaurant and Mirador are both great with amazing views. Staff is fabulously courteous.

The unique setting, the direct beach access and the flawless and generous infrastructure make me always come back to this place. There is no other resort on the algarvian coast that bundles that many exceptional features. You feel spontaneously energized. Healthy living is encouraged by the numerous sports facilities (including a heated pool for the colder days) and Zest restaurant.

Personnel treated me in a very unpleasant way while calling the room and asking me to identify myself. Thereafter at the reception I had to confirm my husband's identity as well.
During check-in we were double charged on two credit-cards. Reimbursement followed on the third day. The price does not match the quality of the products.

Beautiful resort with relaxing atmosphere. There are a couple of well designed outdoor swimming pools as well as an indoor swimming pool. Beach is within 3-minute walk and the resort also has a great view over the sea. There are also a variety of restaurants within the resort. Will definitely consider visiting again.

When we arrived late in our airport transfer, one of the hotel vehicles backed right into our car (without touching by centimetres) Quite rightly our driver beeped to warn that they were driving into us- only to be shouted at by a member of staff for beeping.
My husband got severe food poisoning from the room service the first night which ruined the entire stay. All they offered to do was refund the charge of the meal he had eaten and ‘pass the comments to the chef’
Little details such as the wrong time and temperature displayed in the lift, to the bad attitude of customer facing staff, the TV freezing and not working at all. Waiting for three hours for our luggage to moved to the ocean view room we had for the final two nights- we had to go down to reception and insist on getting the luggage ourselves-
only to be told it was our fault in the first place as we had left a do not disturb sign on the door. Not transferring our bottle of sparkling wine from one room to the other. We just didnt bother to call down about it because my husband was so ill, we made sure it hadnt been charged to the room at check out.
One thing that I could also point out: at breakfast there are cups and saucers on the table - but noone comes over to ask if you want tea or coffee. We sat waiting... and waiting.
Friendliness was amiss, and care and attention to detail. There
is not a single member of staff I could pick out as having gone the extra mile or having been particularly helpful.
This is definitely not Luxury Collection level. I have submitted a complaint to Starwood.

I have there twice. It is one of the best places I have ever been. Rooms are big with comfy beds. Bathrooms are well designed also. Hotel’s design combines traditional Ajulechos (blue with yellow accents) with a lot of with white spaces. And the clue - the cliff - absolutely miracle on every moment of the day and night. Fantastic!

We have stayed twice at this hotel this year, and we tell our friends if they plan to visit the south of Portugal, they are making a mistake not staying at this hotel. The hotel is maintained at very high standards, and the staff is friendly with the location second to none.

This place has the look and feel of a gated California community. The grounds and the buildings are fabulous; everything is very well maintained and clean. The service however, with the exception of the sushi restaurant, is haphazard and VERY slow. The staff are nice and friendly enough but very understaffed. I wouldn’t really call it luxury (see pic of food) but it is nice... if you can overlook the ants in the room. I would definitely recommend this place but be prepared to be under serviced.

Super schönes Hotel. Waren im März dort. Nicht überlaufen zu dieser Jahreszeit. Direkt zum Strand führt ein Aufzug. Eine wunderschöne Bar um den Sonnenuntergang zu bewundern. Frühstücksbuffett war sehr reichhaltig. Personal sehr freundlich. Viel Pools in der Anlage. Es gibt auch einige Restaurants, die sind aber teilweise im März noch nicht geöffnet. Ein wirklich schöner Ort zum verweilen.

Aviam de fazer noites especiais para casais num hotel com 5estralas as banheiras deviam de ser type spa porque o valor do quarto e o que se paga a mais para o serviço o quarto avia de ser mais luxuoso o quarto ... Eu foi para uma noite romântica e não encontrei nenhum romantismo ...

Hier fährt man zum Golfen hin. Die Golfschule ist gut und die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und verstehen was von ihrem Handwerk. Das Hotel hat ein paar gute Ansätze, scheinbar gibt es aber kein Konzept. Dinge laufen so vor sich hin und scheinen nicht verbunden zu sein. Was völlig fehlt für ein Luxushotel ist der cosy Ort zum Geselligen, Die Bar ist abgerockt und ungemütlich. Manche Restaurants scheinen nie geöffnet zu sein, so zum Beispiel der Japaner. Die Badezimmer sind eiskalt und in einer Nacht gab es kaum Wasser und streckenweise gar keinen Strom. Einzelne Mitarbeiter performen wunderbar, andere irgendwie gar nicht.

My sister and I enjoyed our stay at the Pine Cliffs hotel. It was a very nice resort that offered amazing scenery and sunset. The property was very well maintained and pleasantly beautiful surrounded by nature. The staff were all very nice and helpful including the lady that cleaned our room, servers at breakfast, people at the gym, reception and concierge. The only thing I would improve is the variety at breakfast and more local foods.Overall, we had a really nice experience and would come back again when it is warmer :)

le parcours de golf très beau à faire absolument.
Côté négatif: nous avons pris un café 3euros le café! les prix du club house sont très élevés, boissons et repas... après deux essais, à présent nous consommons dans les petits restaurants à l'extérieur!

Excellent facilities, super location with private sandy unspoilt beach, have visited here many times, staying in the Golf suites (self catering) . Comfortable and spacious, great place to go fir a relaxing holiday.

Hier kann man sehr gut Golfspielen speziell kann man sich hier mit Hilfe der Golfschule sehr gut verbessern. Das Hotel ist in Ordnung aber sicher nicht das, was man unter Luxusresort erwartet. Das Personal kennt sich nicht mal untereinander. Es ist also eher unpersönlich und gar nicht individuell. Vielen muss erfragt und erkämpft werden. Unangestrengte Gastlichkeit findet nicht statt. Das Frühstück ist ordentlich aber nichts Besonderes. Das Personal war bemüht aber etwas ratlos. Die Hotelbar ist kurios abgerockt. Da man um das Hotel nichts Feines erleben kann, ist also vor allem dieser Wohlfühlfaktor einer guten Bar inexistent. Die Lage ist wunderbar und die Zimmer der obersten Kategorie mit schönem Meerblick und angenehm ausgestattet. Die individuelle Klasse der Mitarbeiter im Golfzusammenhang reißt alles raus, auch im Clubhaus kann man sich gut aufhalten. Hinter der schäbigen Bar sind allerdings wirklich freundliche Leute.

We were a group of Canadians celebrating a 25th wedding anniversary. The property exceeded our expectations. We particularly enjoyed the Champagne Sunset Bar and the Beach Bar. Amenities were amazing and the staff warm and welcoming. We look forward to our return visit soon.

From check in to check out the front desk provided amazing service and quickly resolved a charge. There are three combined places here - the resort, the residences and the hotel where we stayed. The grounds are so expansive and well maintained. Very peaceful greens and pine trees overlooking the ocean and cliffs, a walk down to the beach via elevator and walkway takes you to an area. with lounge chairs, umbrellas and a restaurant. Gorgeous. The property itself provided lots of places to explore and you will not get bored. There is a cooking school on property for children and families. There are several pool areas so no crowding. Numerous restaurants on site provide a variety of choices. Overall a good way to relax and have a good time.

Me and my wife we spent 10 days at Pine Cliffs twice, both last two summers. It's a really beautiful and relaxing resort. It spreads over many acres, therefore it's very calm and private, with beautiful views from the cliff. Most of the guests seem to just a pick a spot somewhere on the beach, by the pool or under some palm, and not to interact with anyone else, which is very easy to do, due to property size. All the external areas (gardens, lawns, etc.) are also beautifully maintained, to the extend impossible to find elsewhere in Algarve. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel driver, he was a really nice guy with a lot of tips about what to do and what the resort offers. It also has great Bonvoy recongition. For the rest, time passes very quickly at this property. There is a great beach with lots of beds, beautiful lawn on top of the cliff, good swimming pool, great fitness center and adjacent in-house pool. Furthermore, there is a great spa with relaxing zone (entrance fee), which I can only recommend. For the rest, I rented a road bike nearby with bike drop-off and pick-up from the hotel, and made a few really spectacular rides to the mountains. It's not to be missed. All-in-all, it was both times a great stay to the extend that we will keep coming back regularly. And I do about 250 nights each year in different Bonvoy, Hilton and other chains 5 star hotels, so can compare impartially. Its also great with kids, with lots of activities for them to do. From our first stay till second, also most of restaurants improved massively in terms of quality, and also amazing kitchen classes were added, which is a must try. If there would be anything more to improve, it would probably be personnel training to bring everyone to same level, some staff is great (fitness, most of restaurants staff, etc.), some much less (i.e. the most senior lady at breakfast, which is chaotic and with bad attitude, during our first week there of the second stay, she was on holidays, and the younger staff was coping much better in much better mood, it went down the moment she returned).

Ich fand das Hotel nicht auf dem Niveau eines 5 Sterne Luxushotels, dafür waren viele Dinge zu einfach und wenig komfortabel, z. B. Frühstück oder auch Zustand der Liegen und Liegenauflagen ( verschmutzt und teilweise zerrissen.) Das Personal beim Frühstück war wenig motiviert, die Teller wurden nur selten weggeräumt (trifft alles auch auf das O Grill zu).

Como complejo turístico, muy bien. Todo muy bien cuidado, con una ubicación y entorno envidiables y buena restauracion, aunque con un acceso a la playa un tanto difícil, pero... los precios no se ajustan a la oferta y categoría del hotel, siendo las habitaciones un tanto espartanas. Además, de cara a llegar al hotel en coche, la referencia GPS no es completamente adecuda, si se va al Hotel con coche propio.

Eine wunderschöne 5 Sterne Hotelanlage mit eigenem Golfplatz. Die Zimmer sind luxuriös und komfortabel. Das Frühstück lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Alles wird frisch zubereitet z.B. Omelett. Die Strandbar ist für jeden Gast ein absolutes muss. Ein leckeren Sundowner bei herrlichem Blick aufs Meer. Kategorie: besser geht nicht. Der Sandstrand ist kilometerlang, breit und schön. Das Personal ist gastfreundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Preise für Getränke sind schon sehr gediegen. Fazit: ich kann das Hotel nur empfehlen. Ich komme wieder!

Tolles Resort. Gute Lage - unmittelbar an der Küste und ein sehr schöner Sandstrand inkludiert mit dem Hotel. Die Anlage ist riesig. Ich hatte eine Suite und diese war gigantisch gut ausgestattet. Essen top, Freizeitaktivitäten top. Auch für Ausflugsziele gut gelegen für Algarve Sehenswürdigkeiten. Komme wieder.

This is a great place for families with children of any age. Location is breathtaking. Friendly staff. Golf academy has great pros and the 9 hole golf course is beautiful. You can play tennis on hard and red clay courts.
Minibar in the room and a nespresso machine would have been nice in the room. Turn down service at 6:00 pm is a bit early.
Otherwise we had a great stay, we love to come back.

The Pine Cliffs Hotel is... dreamy! Our Ocean View Room was huge, with a beautiful view of the Falesia. the king bed could sleep four people :-) the bathroom was well furnished and perfectly clean. Housekeeping was fantastic: every day the made up the room while we were out for breakfast; the property offers several dining options, among which we warmly recommend the Piri-Piri Steakhouse, and o'Pescador. The only think that may require some management attention are the sunbeds by the pool: people have the bad habit to occupy them with a towel and then leave, to breakfast, to the beach, the result being that it is almost impossible to find one free. May be the managemet could ask for advice to the Hawai'i Marriott properties management... but this was just a glitch in what has been a great stay.

Schön war's...viel mehr gibts nicht zu sagen. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit im Hotel, am Strand und auf dem Golfplatz und sind auf viele nette Menschen getroffen. Kleiner Tipp zur Zimmerauswahl: die Hotelzimmer mit Meerblick grenzen an einen "Marktplatz", auf dem abends bis 23h Veranstaltungen mit Musik und Tanz stattfinden (Lautstärke). Verbesserungsbedarf gibt es beim Service während des Frühstücks. Hier ist es recht chaotisch. Die Auswahl und Qualität des Essens und der Getränke entschädigt aber wieder.

Wir sind mit dem Mietwagen aus Lissabon angereist, haben auch einen Parkplatz in der Nähe des Hotels gefunden, dann kam der Checkin. Nachem wir unser Gepäck (3 Koffer und 2 mal Golfgepäck) vorbei an den nett lächelnden Herren an den Glastüren geschleppt hatten bis zur Rezeption wurden wir tatsächlich gefragt, ob wir Hilfe benötigen. Meine Antwort: Jetzt nicht mehr!
Das Zimmer mit Meerblick (Zimmer Nr. 260) hatte auch Meerblick, allerdings brauchte man viel Phantasie oder man musste sich weit aus dem Balkon lehnen.
Dafür hatte das Zimmer eine Kreuzung des Hotelflures direkt neben der schlecht schließenden Türe,
wir konnten daher exact nachvollziehen wann die letzten Gäste zurück zum Zimmer gelaufen sind und einen Wecker konnten wir uns morgens auch ersparen.
Das von Ihrem Personal hoch gelobte Strandrestaurant „MARE“ war leider ausgebucht, sodaß wir uns Mittags entschieden haben dort eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Der Service war unterirdisch schlecht, das Essen dafür mittelmäßig.
Einziger Lichtblick der Golfplatz und das dazugehörige Clubhaus, hier war endlich einmal Ruhe, das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und das Essen auch gut. Leider schließt die Küche um 17.00 Uhr sodaß wir dort nur 1 mal in den Genuss kommen konnten.
Am lächerlichsten fanden wir die Regelung mit den 2 Strand-Handtüchern, nur 2 und wenn die Karten fehlen leider gar keine mehr…. Das ist wirklich ein Witz!
Die Bar war nicht gefüllt, hätten wir vielleicht bestellen müssen, dafür gab es wenigstens 2 Flaschen warmes Wasser…. Diese wurden aber auch an 2 Tagen nicht nachgefüllt, verstehen wir, daß bei diesen Zimmerpreisen gespart werden muss!
Diese Eindrücke haben uns dazu bewegt, möglichst oft ausserhalb vom Pinecliff Resort zu essen, auf Empfehlung unserer Freunde konnten wir auch wirklich toll speisen, z.B. in 2 Passos, Restaurante Pequeno Mundo oder in der Casa Velha.
Vielleicht waren wir aber auch von unserem letzten Aufenthalt im Conrad Algarve sehr verwöhnt und haben erwartet daß der Service in Ihrem Haus wenigstens annähernd so gut ist, leider wurden wir enttäuscht.

The whole “family friendly” idea is flawed massively. Hotel dated, though room we ultimately stayed in was adequate for needs. For what is marketed as a family friendly resort it was lacking a decent kids menu and there was no variation in the kids menus across the different restaurants on site or between lunch and dinner (nor was the kids menu very inspiring). Additionally there is poor buggy access across the resort but most irritatingly no buggy access to our booked room which ultimately led to us having to change (downgrade) room on our first day despite booking directly with the hotel and stating our children’s ages. The map and signage across the resort aren’t great but the map particularly is pretty useless. The food across the restaurants generally (particularly for lunch options) is very similar and lacks variety.
The kids absolutely loved the reptile show but we were extremely disappointed having booked the buffet (not a preferred way to eat) because of the ‘magic’ show to arrive to find the only kids entertainment was someone making balloons. The pools at the main hotel aren’t brilliant for young families however the pool at the garden residence was really nice and more suited. The resort generally is in a lovely setting. The beach area is beautiful and I can completely accept the lack of easy buggy access to this point. Despite being a large resort it felt quiet which was lovely.
We were looking for a family friendly luxury resort with good accommodations and lovely food for both children and adults. Overall don’t think the resort offers ‘luxury’ or anything exceptional regards children. Unlikely to recommend or return.

Check In was very friendly and the resort was explained to us. We even placed our first dinner reservation. Surprisingly no welcome drink though.
Our car was parked for us and we were guided to our room.
We had booked an Ocean Suite room. The room is very bright and big, also very clean. It provides a coffe machine, a comfy sofa, a large bed and a huge closet. We got a balcony with pool view with the ocean in the distance. Very nice.
The bathroom offers two wash basins, a bath tub and a separate walk in shower as well as a separate toilet.
We went to almost all the F&B outlets, which I reviewed separatly.
The entire resort looks beautiful, everything is well maintained and they even have cats living on the property.
All the pools look amazing and there are more than enough sunbeds all over the resort.
If you prefer spending your day at the beach, you will find plenty of sunbeds at the beach, with little individual roofs to provide some shade.
There is an elevator that goes down to a walkway, which brings you directly to the beach. It's about a five minute walk to go down to the beach.
The gym is very well equipped and offers nice views over the property. Very well done. No water bottles are provided, only a water fountain with little plastic cups. Better bring your own bottle.
For breakfast there are several breakfast options and we tried three of them. On our first day we went to Corda Cafe . This restaurant is serving a buffet breakfast and has many families as their guests. The selection of food was good, but overall the quality wasn't convincing. The orange juice wasn't fresh, which I would expect at a five star resort and we just felt a kind of canteen feeling. The coffee wasn't good too.
For our second breakfast we decided to give O Pescador a try. Again the same selection of food, sadly the same bad coffee but we didn't feel that crowded. We were offered a Pasteis de Nata by the staff, but unfortunately it wasn't freshly baked.
For our last breakfast we finally went to Zest, their new healthy lifestyle restaurant. We ordered some berries with greek yogurt and granola and an omelette. Good but not super creative, compared to some other healthy lifestyle restaurants. The fresh juices were very good, the coffee though.. by that time I had given up. Sorry Pine Cliffs, but your coffee just isn't of good quality you can taste that.
All in all, I did like the entire propery but their F&B was a little downpoint during our stay, with exceptions at the Mirador bar and the O Pescador for dinner.

Pine Cliffs Hotel, a Luxury Collection Resort, Algarve was an absolutely amazing hotel for our stay in the Algarves of southern Portugal. Their staff are incredible and amenities are fantastic. Falesia beach is stunning and fun to enjoy, remarkable how well they make the resort accessible to it. Myriad restaurants with a variety of cuisines to taste. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice resort with all the facilities you could need. Quite expensive but worth it. Grounds are very well manicured, kept very green despite the warm weather. Numerous pools across the resort but kids in each of them. A lot of families so not very quiet, have to look for a quiet spot if you want to avoid.

Das Hotel und die weitläufige Anlage sind sehr schön und sehr gepflegt. der Fitnessraum ist gut ausgestattet. Unser Zimmer ( grand de luxe) war gemütlich und groß, das Bad modern und funktionell. Das Frühstücksbüffet war, was Qualität und Auswahl betrifft, hervorragend (die Bedienung durch Fernando auf der Terrasse auch). Alles in allem ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Das Meer sieht man leider nur von den oberen Stockwerken.

Our initial impression was like a wow factor. Stunning location, beautifully maintained and very comfortable. However the site is huge, containing a 9 hole golf course, a tennis academy and various large accommodation buildings. Our stay was in Ocean suites which was lovely but a fair walk to the main hotel where breakfast was available. We got lost several times and felt that this luxury resort was too big. There is also further building taking place. The restaurants are very expensive and not worth the money. A dinner in the Jardin Colonial where breakfast is served costs 45 Euro per person and is buffet style. For a family of four this would cost a fortune. We also felt that so much was charged as an extra. We used to eat outside at local restaurants where the price was half that charged in the hotel. The various amenities all had added costs as well.

Un premier séjour au Portugal au sein de cet établissement.Très bon accueil lors de notre arrivée, les informations délivrées sont précises.Le décor est parfait et les différents bouquets parfument le hall dentrée.La chambre est très belle et spacieuse. La salle de bain est moderne et superbement aménagée, merci tous les petits produits fournis.Très bonne literie.Nous avons trouvé que le buffet du petit déjeuner était excellent et doté dun très grand choix. Il faut vraiment être difficile pour ne pas apprécier.Enfin que dire des extérieurs, jardins, aménagement et accès à la plage (escaliers ou ascenseur).Pour terminer, nous avions vu des avis négatif sur cette destination et compte tenu de notre séjour, nous ne comprenons pas trop ces commentaires négatifs. Nous avons passé un très bon weekend et navons quune envie, y revenir.

This is a typical example of a structure that meets on paper the requirements for being a five star hotel, but offers one of the worst experiences. All branded with "luxury" but it seemed like we had the luxury of throwing money at them. It's a long list, bare with me:
- 10% discount at restaurants: not applicable if you pay by card or cash, you need to charge it to the room. Of course they will forget to take 10% off once it's charged to your room.
- Amenities in the room and bathroom are not properly refilled. I shouldn't be bothered to call downstairs to ask for a small shampoo!
Coffee is Nescafé soluble, while other structure of the resort provide Nespresso machines with various capsules, here we got to single servings of Nescafé. And no cups.
- No iron... I'm here for a conference... Don't you think I may need one? Why 3star hotels provide this and you don't? Why should I ask for it?
- My land phone misses the cable from the headphone to the phone. You can't hear me? Neither do I.
- Room AC can be turned off. But will restart itself. Be prepared for a noisy night.
- In case small lights disturb you, I recommend covering the off led of the TV. It's a lighthouse...
- Like music? Even when you want to sleep? Tough luck. Bar downstairs will have loud music until midnight. Not like you were here to relax... Nah.
- The pools and pine garden area is not served by waiters. No ashtrays... And a million flies that doesn't let you relax. I'd rather stay inside the room. The chairs covers are outdated, dirty and many are broken.
- More noise! There are no carpets in the structure. Metal trays are being pushed by staff at any hour of the day... And if it's not them, it's a group of customers checking in or out. If you got a room on the parking lot, hope you don't mind getting awake at 7... When on holidays...
- free WiFi is available only in the lobby. And sucks. My room is literally on top of the entrance lobby and yet, signal is bad. The other option is to pay a premium access... That costs daily like the monthly bill at home.
It's 2017 ffs. Get a grip and use some of the 400€ of the daily room cost to provide some decent standard internet.
- Staff is mostly friendly. But has no clue on how to provide a five star service. Maybe they should send their workers into a holiday resort of the competence, just to understand what the rest of the world 5* resorts actually operate.
- Got a do not disturb sign on. Napping in the dark. Staff knock anyway, then entered anyway, noticed me, said a loud sorry and kept doing what she came for.
- Breakfast seems abundant and fresh, but is flavorless... I understand not adding salt to food to favor elders and others, but fruit was plastic...
And for last, the cherry on the cake: got a printed letter informing me to pass from the concierge to collect my "gift". Gift is provided after a timesharing sales pitch.
Indeed, I paid money to go on holidays and I have to avoid sales reps?

- Here and there I spotted few employees who are super professional and friendly, really oriented into creating a customer satisfaction. Not all. But some are there!

Aesthetically, Pine Cliffs resort exceeded our expectations. It is an unquestionably elegant and refined complex with immaculately maintained, lush grounds which deserve special attention. The beach is clean, intimate and relaxing - the cliff-landscape breath taking - and the leisure facilities are superb. We found concierge | reception to be very responsive to our needs and the resorts' staff were largely polite and welcoming. On the downside, the resort's booking system is unlike any I have experienced before whereby one can book/pay for a particular room Type (note, not a room number) yet it is not guaranteed, which is worrisome.
For a five-star hotel of such beauty it is unfortunate that it lacks attention to detail; very worn bathrobes with holes in the sleeves, marks on the bed-linen and inconsistencies with housekeeping not replenishing items were all disappointing to experience but did not undo the luxury and pleasure of our delightfully appointed Deluxe room.
The restaurants attract a mixed review; the breakfast buffets are quite impressive being fresh and varied and the indoor/al fresco dining areas are a welcome start to any day. The other restaurants are varied, relaxed and delightfully atmospheric but the price of a meal is disproportionate to the quality; I feel it's fair to say the culinary skill is Good but not Exceptional which can feel underwhelming and create a need to look outside to other resorts for creative dishes and flair. With the exception of Zest restaurant which offers wonderfully tasty and relaxed choices for vegetarians/vegans, non-meat options are severely restricted across the resort and this is something to consider when booking a hotel room versus a self-catering apartment.
On the whole I will certainly return to Pine Cliffs as it is a very special place and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a bubble of tranquillity.

Me and my wife we spent 10 days at Pine Cliffs early this year. It's a really beautiful and relaxing resort. It spreads over many acres, therefore it's very calm and private, with beautiful views from the cliff. Most of the guests seem to just a pick a spot somewhere on the beach, by the pool or under some palm, and not to interact with anyone else, which is very easy to do, due to property size. All the external areas (gardens, lawns, etc.) are also beautifully maintained, to the extend impossible to find elsewhere in Algarve. We were picked up at the airport by the hotel driver, he was a really nice guy with a lot of tips about what to do and what the resort offers. Thanks to my Platinum Ambassador status, we got a great upgrade to a room with wonderful view. Room upgrade quality is always a key part of my experience and this one fully met all my expectations. Furthermore, the gentleman who checked us in and walked us into our room was one of the most pleasant and experienced professional which I have seen during my ~150 nights each year with SPG, plus 100 nights elsewhere. He somehow embodies exactly the atmosphere and spirit of the property and comes across very naturally when doing his job. For the rest, time passes very quickly at this property. There is a great beach with lots of beds, beautiful lawn on top of the cliff, good swimming pool, great fitness center and adjacent in-house pool. Furthermore, there is a great spa with relaxing zone (entrance fee), which I can only recommend. For the rest, I rented a road bike nearby with bike drop-off and pick-up from the hotel, and made a few really spectacular rides to the mountains. It's not to be missed. All-in-all, it was a great stay to the extend me and my wife we decided to come back again next year, this time already with our little daughter:-).
If there would be one "even better if," it would be the food quality and offering. Although not all the venues were yet open (we managed to visit piri priri, buffet restaurant, the healthy food lunch place, beach restaurant, some cafe restaurant, room service, etc.), all of them were rather on the upper side of local price range and with quality below expectations. It's even bigger issue since all the outside options are at least 15-20 minutes away, due to size of property. Just a few examples to give a feeling of it, the buffet dinner place costs 49 p.p. and offers few items mostly of cheap ingredients, literally there were never more than 3-4 tables occupied, breakfast is disorganized, with about 20 minutes waiting time for table. Room service is very poor, even simple items are bad, such as club sandwich and piri chicken, which should be a local pride, and not dry cold something. Piri piri has a good ambience and great staff, but most of meat items are imported&frozen, including seafood?! As a result, we spent a lot of time discussing which place to eat to pick up twice per day, which one is actually the most bearable. We ended up eating most of time in the healthy food place (forgot the name), but not really because we would like it. I would overhaul all the menus and focus on ingredients. My personal opinion is if the food quality and offering would improve by one level, the overall experience would jump to proper six stars:-). Otherwise there is nothing to fault really.

After more than 20 years Pine Cliffs did a great job renewing all hotel rooms. We stayed in a very comfortable duplex suite with 2 full bathrooms and a nice ocean view.
The room had pleasant amenities and a convenient expresso machine. The walk in shower is amazing!
It was raining but the hotel offers a great indoor swimming pool, health club and a new SPA.
I know it was low season but I think the hotel needed more staff. The room was very cold when we arrive, the room was made at 3pm when we complained and we had to ask several times for the cook (omelets) during the 2 breakfasts. This is not good for a 5 star hotel.

This is a beautiful resort hotel with stunning beach, and every facility you would need. Breakfast is fantastic and staff just great. Platinum recognition is excellent and we got a great upgrade. Bed linens are excellent, sleep quality is the usual first class Starwood standard and bathroom toiletries fabulous. Great sunset bar. All staff professional , pleasant and efficient. Night concierge was amazing delivering my request for tea bags at 6 am, and then returning with milk! in all a great stay:highly recommend. Club lounge would be a nice touch for the management to consider. We will be back!

Have been staying in this resort for 24 years since it opened and have seen all the improvements. The recent refurbishments have upgraded the hotel to meet todays expectations. The staff are always friendly and helpful and many have been here from the start. The Piri Piri is our favourite restaurant where the staff go the extra kilometre to make every visit a memorable one.

I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone. I stayed in the Ocean Suit and a Gold Starwood Member. Cleaning personal came into the room before 10am when I was scheduled to stay multiple nights then had about three other people at the door. Power was turned off in my room and took three phone calls to front desk before someone came to fix the issue, which was not my key being in the wall. I would recommend a hotel on the beach in the the city.

Just returned from yet another great holiday at Pine Cliffs Hotel. As always we are really well looked after by Manuela and Hugo and their respective teams! However, I've got to say, all the staff at this resort are so helpful, particularly people like Marilia at breakfast and not forgetting the golf team who are first class! The facilities are so good that we seldom feel a need to leave this beautiful property. The addition of the new Ocean Suites blend in well and compliment the existing facilities with the inclusion of the most fabulous Spa. Can't recommend this resort enough and look forward to our next visit!

Beautiful property with lackluster (2 star) service. Most of the restaurants were closed for the season when we visited in late September. Breakfast service was the worst with everyone that worked there looking like they were being tortured each time someone ordered coffee or tea. No need to pay for breakfast, by the way, the employees didn't bother checking in/seating people so anyone can just go and eat regardless of meal plan. The list of rooms/guests was blowing around on the ground (it blew off the host stand) and the employees just watched it blow around. It was very strange.
High point was the beachside restaurant - great service, great food, most importantly a great setting.

Meiner Meinung nach ist es das beste Hotel auf der Algarve. Die Resortanlage ist traumhaft. Es gibt über Treppen (ca. 30 Meter Höhenunterschied kann auch mit Lift überwunden werdem ) und Steg einen direkten Zugang zum Meer bzw. zum km langen Sandstrand.

mas corre sério risco de massificação pelo excesso de construção e aumento de capacidade não acompanhada pelo correspondente aumento de pessoal e de infraestruturas de apoio. Nota-se já a massificação na utilização da praia e, principalmente, durante o pequeno-almoço, onde a remodelação do Jardim Colonial foi extremamente infeliz, tornando-o numa sala vulgar, sem identidade e muito pouco eficaz pois tirou zona de circulação dos utentes. Contrariamente, a remodelação dos quartos foi muito bem sucedida.
A tentativa de concentração do buffet do pequeno -almoço numa só sala foi uma experiência péssima, pelo menos quando o resort está muito cheio, contribuindo para a sensação de massificação.
Nota máxima para o pessoal mais antigo que se esforça ao limite para manter o standard mas que é insuficiente e os eventuais não têm preparação para a exigência do nível do hotel.
O maior problema do hotel continua a ser, ano após ano, o controlo e a segurança, tanto no acesso ao hotel como na utilização da praia e das piscinas onde se encontram constantemente pessoas que não estão hospedadas e a usufruir das camas e toalhas.
O novo SPA é um importante acréscimo de qualidade.

Realmente trata se de hotel que eu sinto como uma 2 casa que tenho , espaço , staff antigo embora o local de pequeno almoço tenha sido alterado neste caso para além de alterar a fachada típica do local a nível de gestão e mobilidade muito reduzida

I was so excited for our stay here and this hotel did not live up to my expectations. It all started with the check in. After having to wait 15 minutes to be helped I was then told that my 2 young children could not stay in my room with me even thought the kids policy on the website states children under 12 stay free with a paying adult. After about 10 minutes I was told an exception could be made and the kids could stay in our room. There was a horrible smell in the room we were given so the front desk sent up housekeeping who smelled it as well. We asked to change rooms and the front desks acted as if we weed inconveniencing them and sadly it took me getting upset to be given a comparable room ( and the hotel was not full). Dinner was another struggle. We ate at one of the hotel restaurants and the food was ok, not great but the service was so slow (and the restaurant was not crowded). The prices were so high too. We paid 28 euros for fajitas and were charged 12 euros for 4 pieces of bread! We asked for the check and had to wait 30 minutes until someone brought it to us. After the first night we never ate at the hotel again. There were great local restaurants right across the street from the hotel.
The hotel grounds are gorgeous. You can't beat the beautiful beach and great pools. The doorman and housekeeping staff are very nice and helpful but the reception desk was not what I would expect from a luxury collection hotel. I would not return to this hotel.

Stayed here so we could get taste of the Algarve and found this place to be what we were looking for. Service was spotty at times but overall ok. Reception (gina) and Portulano Bar (Filipe/Licinio) shined... . I had used SPG suite rewards for our room and got room 227 a two floor suite as we were celebrating our anniversary however it didnt face beach rather "resort view" There were some other minor glitches (service related) but in end we got our Algarve fix and perhaps will come back. . .. we shall see

My sister & her husband have been going to this hotel twice a year for a good number of years now & were always raving about how good it was!
We only booked a few weeks' ago & just got back after spending a fantastic week there.
I now know why my sister keeps going back!
The staff are so friendly & helpful & the facilities excellent.

Pelo segundo ano consecuttio tive problemas com o banheiro do apartamente. Este ano o vaso sanitário entupiu e apesar de solicitado o tempo de resposta para a solução não foi adequado. Problemas como esse não podem ser recorrentes em um hotel desse nível e preço. Com exceção desse inconveniente a experiência no hotel foi muito agradável.

Hospedes do hotel desde 2001, constatamos que o serviço de front office (recepção) é de ano para ano mais fraco: fraquissimo atendimento (inclusive do reception manager) e pior ainda assistência aos hospedes. A notoria falta de serviço merece efectivamente o registo de reclamação.
Atendimento excelente exclusivamente por parte do staff de restauração (room service, Corda Café e Restaurante O Pescador).

Beautiful location right on the cliffs, great infrastructure altogether for any client's expectations, pleasant room with excellent quality of mattess and top bedclothes ensuring relaxing sleep (Am suffering from back problems). Wide range of bars & restaurants, though a bit expensive for Portugal, but very good food. For golfers, 9-hole course on premises, and Free Shuttle service to Vilamoura golf courses, Great pools and lovely, hugh park with both sun & shade.
Staff extremely kind and helpful. Will certainly be back after forthcoming renovations.

Rooms, food, staff were excellent. It was,however, a little ridiculous having to pay 5 Euro for water at the tennis courts, considering the room rates and the court fees. Water should really be provided. Also, having to buy a bathing cap for the swimming pool is also tacky. The locker rooms had no soap, shampoo, extra towels... those are things you expect in a luxury hotel. Despite these small annoyances, we had a great time.

The hotel runs like clockwork and is exceptionally comfortable and welcoming.
I just spent my 50th birthday, with family and friends at the hotel as a gift from my wife, Helen. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Beautiful suite, fantastic food, the wonderful Champagne bar, with it's stunning views, all topped of with lunch on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The whole week end is something I will never forget.
Lilliana looked after us brilliantly and I would like to thank her personally here for all her hard work.
All the staff are friendly and welcoming, waiters are great at breakfast and always have a smile on their face.
I very much look forward to returning to the hotel soon.

Très honnêtement les prestations de votre hotel ne valent pas plus que un hotel de passe. Les chambres sont mal conservées, la salle de bain est digne d'un 2 étoiles (et encore, j'en ai vu des mieux), l'insonorisation (le pipi de mon voisin). Le grand lit, supposé king size, se sépare en deux parties et est de qualité médiocre. Bref, en plus de cette expérience, chaque pas que j'ai fait en dehors de cette chambre, était un cauchemar et tout vos employés étaient formées à me vider mon portefeuille (carte des restaurants ne correspondant pas à la note finale) et votre concierge qui me courrait apres. C'est la premiere fois que je dois payer Internet dans un hotel (supposé) luxe (et à quel prix!!). Je suis vraiment décu et je ne manquerai pas de faire la publicité de cet hotel et certainement de toute la chaine sur tous les résaux sociaux disponibles. A part le cadre, vous etes de voleurs et des menteurs. C'est une vaste escroquerie !!

We have stayed at this hotel for 4 years running now - it's our little bit of paradise for a weekend of total relaxation and great food. The restaurants are all fantastic - O Pescador for the fresh fish cooked fabulously and Piri Piri for one of the best steaks and Dauphinoise potatoes I have ever had. Watching the sunset in the Champagne Bar is our favourite part of the night.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff really helpful and attentive without being overpowering.
My only very slight gripes from this weekend was that the bed didn't seem quite so luxurious as normal although still better than most other hotels. And we didn't manage to get an upgrade as the suites were fully booked for one of the nights we were staying- still, the normal rooms are still gorgeous!
Also, we were really looking forward to the Japanese restaurant which, according to the website, should still have been open when we were there, but had already closed for the season - this was disappointing.
Can't wait for next year!

We had such a great stay here. Highly recommend to anyone on the fence. Everything exceeded our expectations. The views, the beach, the cliffs, the amazingly nice and helpful staff. We were upgraded upon arrival due to a bit of a mix up with our reservations. Thought they really went above and beyond to welcome us and we were really sad to leave! Will definitely be back.

This hotel is wonderful in every respect. Amazing grounds, with views over to the beach and ocean. Lovely timber walkway down to the beach. Plenty of sunlounge room by the beautiful pools, beach and garden to relax. Quality of food very high in all the restaurants we tried. Golf course was fun, with beautiful views. Staff so friendly, including Rute and Junior at breakfast and in the Garden Cafe, Balde in the Garden Cafe, Miguel in the amazing bar next to the cliff overlooking the beach, Emilia on the cooking station at breakfast - to name just a few, but all were great. Well appointed, spacious rooms. This is a superb hotel.

The hotel had a few missing facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities must be available in a room for guest who have travelled from afar.
Wifi is a basic facility now. Not only do they charge but the charge varies for number of devices. So when you go to the lobby there is no sitting space because guests are trying to use the free wifi.
Air con in the room was quite weak.
We ordered a cocktail in the bar to have by the pool and the waiter was going to serve us the cocktail in a flimsy plastic cup! Why would I pay 10 euros for a drink in a plastic cup?
I've stayed in many sheraton hotels and not had to negotiate this before.
I'd expect a resort 5* hotel to have all of the above amenities for their guests. We stayed in lisbon and now in seville and have these features as std.

The facilities are superb, honestly with exception of quality of food in Corda Cafe ( which was really not up to standard), It is a great place to go and relax. I would recommend it to everyone.

I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in hotels. I can tell from the greeting on walking in the front door how pleasant or unpleasant a stay will be. I can tell if a hotel has a good GM or a bad GM by the way I am welcomed. The greeting at this property was outstanding..
All the staff at this hotel, without exception, from the gardeners, housekeeping, waiters to the front desk are extremely friendly and welcoming. The staff create an atmosphere that is welcoming and comfortable. The staff make you feel that your well being is the number one on their priority list.
Liliana, in particular was really very helpful, she went out of her way to help with small niggles and our requests. Nothing was too much trouble.
Liliana is the perfect Guest Relations staff member and she is a credit to SPG.
Eating in the hotel is very good, lots of different places to eat and we used all of them during our stay. Lots of local restaurants as well that are a short walk from the hotel.
Pools are fantastic, grounds are kept to a very high standard, lots of shade if you want it. It never feels busy
Beach is stunning and has life gaurds. Just an outstanding property. My whole family looks forward to returning soon.

This resort has amazing grounds that are large enough to get lost on. Plenty of beach space (it's a long walk there from the hotel, but they put in an elevator to help), plenty of pool/lawn chairs too so no risk of not getting seating.
The staff is so friendly and helpful. When we had an issue with our air conditioning Pedro, the manager on duty, handled it with ease and to our satisfaction (making us forget the night we spent sweating it out).
There are plenty of restaurants to choose from on property but they are very pricey. While the meal at Pescadore was good, it wasn't worth $200 EUR for 2 people. The buffet breakfast is worth it with a nice selection, but avoid for dinner.
If you are an SPG member you get free wifi, free breakfast buffet and many discounts on property. Just bring your SPG card with you.
Overall this hotel was perfect for our vacation needs. I would highly recommend it and also would stay here again if we return to the area.

The room was big and comfortable and the surrounding area is very relaxing and beautiful, especially with an ocean view. The room was kept relatively clean, but not spotless. A bit of TLC wont harm. The reception people were all very helpful. When going to the Algarve in the future, most probably will choose this hotel again.

Each year we spend a week or so at Sheraton Pine Cliffs for some indulgent rest and recuperation. Always nice to see the same cheerful helpful staff for whom no request is troublesome. Looking forward to the next visit.

This hotel and it's crew is just fabulous!
Just two minor points:
- During dinner we once got badly prepared lobster-meat, which therefore was tasteless and had the structure of chewing-gum. You don't expect such gaffe in a high-level restaurant.
- The icecube-machines on all the floors were broken and were not repaired within the duration of our stay.

der eigentliche Trumpf sind aber die Mitarbeiter generell, insbesondere an der Rezeption. Im Vergleich zu vielen Top-Hotels

The best hotel in Algarve
I have stay in many 5 stars hotels in Algarve (Epic; Porto Bay; Riu Palace; Lake resort; Victoria etc.. ) but this is the best hotel to stay
But i have some repairs : Internet Wifi in the room costs a lot.. in unacceptable in a hotel of 5 stars to pay internet in a room.
If this hotel has a good politic of price/meals it was perfect.
Many turists like me go to outside the hotel to have a meal because the prices are to higher, so the hotel loses a lot of money and the guests many times prefer another hotel because this is very important to choose holidays
Ex. Restaurante Pinhal is a very good choice

We stayed at the Sheraton Algarve for a long weekend in June 2014. For facilities the hotel is first class with a number of pools, resturants and bars to choose from. We really enjoyed the walk to the beach which gives you a great view of the orange cliffs which are spectacular and gives the region its character. Overall a great stay with the seafood buffet being our culinary highlight.

This year we've been to the Sheraton Algarve for the third time. It is a perfect place to relax - even if you don't play golf. Everything is absolutely clean, we love to relax under the pines in the beautiful garden or walking on the beach. The breakfast is a must-have. Die Begrüßung und Verabschiedung erfolgt durch freundliches Personal. Es war unser dritter Aufenthalt in diesem Haus.
Die Suite war gut eingerichtet und erfüllte unsere Ansprüche.
Dsa Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich und gut, die Abendbuffets reichlich uns abwechslungsreich. Der Service ist sehr gut.
Nur am Beach Club braucht man gelegentlich gute Nerven; hier arbeitet kein geschultes Personal.

This is the 16th year that we have holidayed at this hotel which speaks for itself. The facilities and setting are second to none with sweeping lawns shaded by trees, private access to a lovely beach and restaurant, swimming pools, a 9 hole golf course, professional tennis courts, restaurants and a fully managed childrens' play area complete with its own galleon.The distinctly Moorish design gives the hotel a unique character and we are aware that the imminent refurbishment of some areas will seek to maintain this appeal. However, what really makes us come again and again is the quality and friendliness of the staff. Put simply they are more like friends and always make you feel welcome. To sum up, it won't be long until this resort is back to its rightful place as one of the Luxury Collections top properties.

This is not a 5 stars hotel. A 4 and that´s it.
30mn for Check in. No details of our package, nô explanation of the cards for the towels for the beach. 30mn to print a passeport and get the number of credit card.
The room: paid for sea view, not a sea view. After getting back twice, they refond the difference and offered a meal.
Wifi: nées to pay if I remember well 7 or 9 € per day for 1 DEVICE!!! Come on it is a joke.
FOOD: very very expensive vs the quality and vs what you get in Algarve. I am not getting into details but as an example 1 coffee 3€. In Algarve in normal pasteleria it is about 0,65€.
The price of wine also, an example.... Esperao white wine from alentejo, 10€ in store (continente) 48€ in the hotel!!!
ROOM: hard to call everyday for the cleaning to be done, no clock, no Ipod desk station... 5 stars hotel???
If you get sick you will have the pleasure to pay 4pills of paracetamol 5€..... I would love to be your supplier it must be profitable !
SMOKING POLICY: absurd, you can't smoke on your terrasse they won't bring you an ashtray but you smoke on the restaurant terrasse!! Where aller the people and especially kids are!!! Familly oriented hotel -- NO !

My wife and I stayed in April and had an absolutely brilliant time. I cant find a fault with the hotel, the staff or the location. The service and politeness from everyone at the hotel was incredible and nothing was too much trouble. We received an upgrade on arrival and some information on what was happening nearby while we were there. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The private beach had been badly battered by some powerful storms the week before we arrived so we didnt see it looking its best something the hotel staff apologised for when we arrived.We went to Albuferia on one of the nights which isnt a place I would be rushing back too but maybe we saw it out of season. We also went to Villamoura marina which is well worth a visit with plenty of restaurants to choose from.Restaurants and drinks etc at the hotel are expensive compared to what you pay elsewhere but you get what you pay for. I thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone considering it as an option and we are planning a return trip next year.

Ein schön gepflegtes Hotel, mit freundlichen hilfsbereiten Mitarbeitern, die auch unsere Fragen in Deutsch helfend beantworteten. Der Weg zum Strand, erst mit Aufzug, dann Treppe war leicht zu bewältigen (wir sind über 70 Jahr) und führt durch eine imposante Klippenlandschaft. Nur von den elf statistischen Regentagen im März hatten wir vier erlebt.

Mein Mann und ich haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Ich weiß gar nicht, worüber ich zuerst und zuletzt schwärmen soll. Das Personal ist nicht einfach nur hilfsbereit und kompetent, sondern herzlich und freundlich.
Dass die Zimmer und die ganze Anlage sauber und gepflegt sind, erwartet man, aber hier funkelt und glänzt alles, das Bad, der Balkon, die öffentlich zugänglichen Toiletten, die Gänge, einfach alles.
Das Frühstück ist unübertroffen bezüglich Darreichung, Auswahl und Qualität.
Die Gebäude liegen inmitten einer abwechslungsreich gestalteten, wunderschönen Gartenlandschaft mit einer von Pinien beschatteten Liegewiese mit Blick auf den Atlantik. Das ist Wellness für die Seele.

Wir verbrachten 7 Tage Golfurlaub im Sheraton Algave und waren mehr als sehr zufrieden. Insbesondere die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist fantastisch !
So zum Beispiel beim Abendessen im Restaurant nahm sich der Kellner eine ganze Weile Zeit um uns auf einer Karte die verschiedenen Weinregionen zu beschreiben und uns Empfehlungen für Portugiesische Weine zu geben.
Die Mitarbeiter, waren alle jederzeit sehr sehr aufmerksam, super freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Man bot uns ein Upgrade (kostenpflichtig aber lohnend) in ein Zimmer mit Meerblick an. Das Zimmer war sauber, geräumig und das Bad (Badewanne mit Dusche) zweckmäßig aber schön. Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine schöne Hotelanlage. deren Größe durch die verschiedenen Wohnbereiche nur schwer einzuschätzen ist. Besonders das Restaurant war gemütlich und ruhig. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht, das Essen (Buffet) war abwechslungsreich und geschmackvoll. Auch hier wieder ein Lob an die freundlichen Mitarbeiter, die jederzeit dafür sorgten, dass alle Speisen schön angeboten und auch appetitilich aussahen.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder in dieses Hotel gehen.

Hotel had not many guests so they closed all the facilities.
Only 1 restaurant open and it had a very limited menu Even when we only stayed 3 nights.
Not easy to eat out of hotel without a car.
Wifi was rediculous. Charged by no of devices and an enormous charge.

The front office supervisor, J Lourenco, arranged with ease a wonderful Duplex Apartment.
The setting of the hotel, the park and the beach
with the colorful cliffs were astonishing.
Service was great. B/f fantastic.
Sunset at the Champagne bar was the topic.
We'll come back.

The staff is very good. They give a good attention to details.
Room facilites are very good, big bedroom and large bathroom. The bed is queen size and very comfortable.
We had a balcony with a great view of the resort, pool and sea.

Goes without saying that the setting for this hotel is stunning. The grounds, the beach and the scenery are great whether you want to chill out by the pool or play a round of golf. And the hotel building itself lovely, very clean very comfortable. But there are lots of hotels around the world that are equally well built in lovely places. I do not usually write reviews but having just spend an intense days at a conference here I was suddenly struck on my return home how fabulous the staff were - at every engagement hotel reception, waiters, porters room service, even the (franchised?) gift shop the service was as good as I have ever experienced.

First times are always the best experience, so perhaps our expectations the second time around were too grand. Atlhough we were pleased with the assist given for a room with a special view of the ocean, the rate was high considering the fact that some of the restaurants were closed, and we were not made aware of same.
For a luxury hotel, the wifi charge for room service was totally outrageous.
The menu at the O Pescador was limited, and the wines overpriced. We are well traveled and are not approaching this issue, because we are short of finances, but rather for the purpose of making your restaurant more broader in scope.
Your website show the Jardim Colonia, which I am familiar with and also the Yakuza, which must have been closed as well. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
There have been some wonderful additions that were not there when we last visit, all for the positive. The staff was professional and courteous.
Our rooms were clean and well serviced.

We specifically booked this hotel as it was supposed to be superb for kids. Whilst it does have an excellent crèche facility in the form of the Porto Pirate Club, and exceptional staff, the hotel, grounds and staff generally were very disappointing.
There are lots of steps around the grounds, not ideal for prams. A few slopes would make a big difference. The paths through the grounds were also impractical for a pram. The car parks and a number of paths throughout the ground had a very uneven surface. I would describe the paths near the crèche as very unsafe due to the state of the brickwork under foot.
Finally, the staff of the hotel reception showed limited appreciation of families and their requirements. We received multiple visits to turn our beds down after 9pm. Even after complaining about this late hour and our children being in bed. On a positive note, on our departure the lady from guest relations gave my daughter crayons and a colouring book... A wonderful gesture.. That may have been appreciated even more upon our arrival 2 weeks previously!!! The staff in the O Grill were also excellent and provided plenty of child friendly support throughout the evening meals. One of our highlights from the 2 weeks.

Not all but certainly a lot of the waiting on staff have a chip on their shoulders. They seem to resent helping people. For example my cooked English breakfast was stone cold but when I told the waiter in the Pescari restaurant he shrugged his shoulders and walked away!
There is a lot of walking to and from places within the grounds, not necessarily good for the older person.
A very overpriced hotel who try to extract the most cash from you, even on the sale of water.
Not a patch on Spanish service and hospitality.

Fourth time we stayed at Sheraton Algarve and we love the facilities and the easy access to the beach. Unfortunately we feel that the service is getting worse every time. I have to say that with minor exceptions the service was really poor, mainly the reception staff - a disgrace!!

Since many years it's a pleasure for us to relax a few days in the beautiful environment of the Sheraton Algarve: always a warm welcome, a nice climate, the gardens, the beach and the cliffs make this place exceptional.

What to see over a drink with your family at the Mirador by sunset?
This year the service and the food of different restaurants were below our expectations: poor variety and very slow service with expensive prices. Only the Japanese restaurant and the Italian buffet were very good.
The welcome cocktail is fine to meet the people who take care of us. The 'Go Fresh ' as laundry service at the end of our stay is very convenient. A compliment to Augusta who makes our room so nice every day, a compliment to Manuela and Liliana for their kindness, a compliment for Kevin for his professionally and the best for Mr. Munro and the whole staff.

The hotel location is spectacular! Set at the top of the sand cliffs amid the pine trees this beautiful hotel with its spacious bedrooms is attractive, clean and well maintained. The hotel team are superb being attentive, caring and welcoming with great attention to detail but never too intrusive. This is a true 5 star experience, the food on offer at the various restaurants is an eclectic mix of top quality dishes served by highly trained teams. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely hotel but is in need of upgrading to truly be a 5 star facility. I am afraid to say that many of the staff fell short of what I would expect from a Sheraton Hotel. For that reason I have rated you with 4 stars. They need to have their positive attitudes sharpened. There are a great number of children in this facility and it would be very nice to have an adults only pool for those of us who do not have children. Apart from that comment I would return at a quieter time of year and look forward to the makeover which will make this hotel truly stunning.

large sprawling complex (too big for some!) but never crowded. nice architecture, just what you needed. But AVOID at all costs the restaurants even with low expectations the poolside bar can't make nachos. The much anticipated Peri Peri had a "kids buffet" of gone-off pasta and cold chips for all of 17 quid... GARBAGE. after 3 requests we received finally a tolerable kids menu there and then proceeded to have over-priced but clean and decent food (decent service otherwise and ok wine list!) . Our blil said it all: arrived 11/7; ate on property twice on 11/7.. no other on-property charges 4 days hence.. Breakfast was decent but declined daily though our stay... had to get dishes for the omelet station personally as the staff simply couldn't cope with average demand.

The acknowledgement of SPG status with amenities and upgrades, the eager professional staff, the immaculate grounds and the restaurant experiences (especially the lunches by the beach) were overall excellent.

A fab hotel,staff were attentive,professional and friendly.Bedroom was spotless .Food was fantastic.We were here for a 40th birthday celebration and the champagne bar at the cliff edge was just stunning to sit at and watch the sun set.great children's facilities too,we went with a 7 year old and 10 month old and both were very happy.My only grumble was we had to come home lol.definately be back.

I feel so good that I always come back! Pines, hills, beachfront, nature, and the pure air that I breathe, and the peace in my mind, and the nice people there, and I want to come back! Thank you all, we'll meet again soon!

2nd trip to the Sheraton, this time for a 4.5 day break in the sun with the young boys. The hotel was great and staff attentive to the boys and plenty of facilities available without feeling crowded despite the hotel being fully booked.
Some things that could be improved on: the sofa bed in the junior suite was ok for a 5 & 3 yrold but not fit for an adult. The jnr suite was good. My only 'complaint' is that paying 5 euros for a bottle of water is too expensive - perhaps I should have asked for tap water (like we did before bottled water became the rage). We used the 6am coffee/coissants but had to ask for cold milk for the boys and unfortunately no cereal was available. These were minor issues. We had a super time and will continue to recommend it as a great destination and stay.

Superb location, very attentive staff in every part of the hotel and beach - too many for special mention in fact. Excellent on-site restaurants, each with a different ambience (Corda Cafe, Piri-Piri and O Pescadore all brilliant). Only issue was a few broken machines in the gym for the week we stayed.

My wife and I stayed here in May 2012 with our boys aged 4 & 2, as part of a large company retreat. We had a fantastic time. The suite was great to allow the boys to go to bed early and we had excellent babysitting provided by the hotel. The pools were a great hit with the boys and I must say the staff were incredibly child friendly. Loads of food options - a bit pricey but it is a 5 star. Wasn't as pleased with the Corda cafe as it allows smoking outside, so we were constantly trying to sit the boys upwind. The beachfront was lovely.
And so, although we are not a beach resort family, we're coming back in a weeks' time for a 5 day quick family break because we had such a good time and we know the boys will enjoy it.

Mind Blowing Views. We Loved our Stay. We Definatley be returning again. Only problem Wifi is very very slow or Wifi is there but doesnt work. Other then that one of our best stays.

This hotel has excellent facilities and the location is superb. The staff are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Dining prices are very high however. We very much enjoyed our stay and would return.

A wonderful place to be at with a baby. restaurants filled with high chairs, no request to staff was ever a problem. The hotel is large enough to feel that you are in a baby friendly hotel. Our 10 month daughter loved her few mornings at baby club Porto Pirata. We would recommend this place without a doubt to any couple with a baby (and having travelled many years without a baby, our expectations were many!) BUT...for would also recommend for avid golfers and couples looking for great hotel. Even though baby friendly, the place is large enough to meet different requirements.

On first appearance this resort is incredible, with stunning grounds and beach and a good choice of restaurants & pools. The children's areas really are fantastic. However delve a little deeper and the service is more 2 star. There was no real interest from a number of the staff, 5 of whom moaned to me or my wife over the period of our stay about having too many guests staying for the number of staff. This was apparent from the hour long plus wait for lunch and dinner and the fact that a number of requests we made were met with disgruntled looks instead of friendly service. We are far from high maintenance and this is the first negative review i have made on a hotel ... ever !! This is not our first Starwood hotel but by far the worst in relation to service. A heated outdoor pool at the hotel would be nice but not a deal breaker.
